How many of you have experienced living your life in survival mode?

We all have experienced hardships throughout our lives and for some of us it has caused our defense mechanisms to turn on, which is completely normal. Your get scared and your body responses by you jumping back with fear and eventually your heart rate will return to a normal speed and all will be fine. Now what happens when it doesn't? What if every time you hear a loud crash you go into a frenzy and now you keep your hands by your ears for hours at a time... that's survival mode being turned on for an extended period of time, which is not normal.

In today's episode, I talk about how our natural instincts to respond to danger are God given to help our bodies regulate themselves. However, if you add unresolved trauma to a situation and that triggers is presented to you over extended periods of time.. you are now operating our of survival mode. Let's talk about it.
