This episode is the conclusion of the 3-part series we have been on for a while now. By the way, if you haven't checked out the others, you should. In this episode, I would like to help those struggling with knowing how to live out their identity in Christ by sharing 5 practical ways to do so. If this is you, grab a seat and join me. ● Living in obedience. There are so many ways a believer can live in obedience to Christ. Thankfully, the bible, our guide, is always available to show us how. Our identity in Christ brings us to the consciousness that our work is for God and not man and that obeying God is one of the things we have been called to do. ● Living in a community with other believers.Planting ourselves amid the brethren is just as profitable as networking in the business world is. One of the good things about being a believer is that we are never alone. As Apostle Paul said, the church is meant to give us a community to live and grow. ● Serving others. As Christians, we have been called to serve and we can do this in so many ways. After knowing your identity in Christ, one way we can live in it and through it is by having the spirit of service for our brothers and sisters.“No matter how big or small, our acts of service make a difference to those around us”~ Destiny Pickens. ● Sharing the Gospel. While you are trying to live out your identity In Christ, one urge you cannot resist is the urge to share God's love through the Gospel. There are a lot of questioning minds around us and we can provide answers to them through the Gospel. You cannot spread God's word of love without having love to give, so you need to brace up to be filled with love first.“People need to see the love of Christ in you and your own life before they will begin to be open to hearing the message of the Gospel ” ~ Destiny Pickens. ● Addressing our thoughts. It's quite easy to let our thoughts run wide but another way of living out our identity in Christ is by filling our thoughts with positive and beautiful things. It is expected that we become so conscious of the things we allow to get into our heads and minds.“Make a commitment to taking your thoughts captive and making them obedient in Christ”~ Destiny Pickens. When the enemy sows the seeds of confusion and doubts in us, his ultimate plan is to cheat us of the benefit of knowing our identity in Christ. In today's episode, I will share 5 benefits of knowing our identity in Christ as the second part of the 3-part series we started last week. The knowledge of God's word alone can save us from many things. Boldly appearing before God.A certain level of boldness comes with being sure of who you are. It is God's will that we are close and have an intimate relationship with him. When we go shaking in fear before God, it shows that we don't fully believe in our identity in Christ. By dedicating our lives to living as children of God, we have been given unlimited access, and we are expected to boldly utilize this access. The gift of walking in the spirit. As kingdom daughters and believers, recognizing our identity in Christ means we are no longer controlled by our flesh. The spirit of God takes control and leads us through everything. Receiving salvation means that we have been given access to His redemption power so that even when we fall prey to the enemy's antics, grace is sufficient, and the spirit of God takes the lead. Receiving rewards for our labor.Living life on our own terms can be overwhelming. Even with God, we find ourselves giving in to our flesh sometimes. It is essential to know that loving with the consciousness of our identity gives us our due rewards. This means that when we till the ground, we are assured of a timely and bountiful harvest. God will never allow us to labor in vain. Access to God's abundant resources.Being in Christ takes off the barrier of lack. Our God is rich in every resource you can think about, and He loves His children so much so He will supply our needs with abundance. When keeping close to our hearts our identity in Christ, we get automatic access to the riches of our maker, and irrespective of what your finances are looking like at the moment, trust God for a supply. Direct Access to God's wisdom.Realizing who we are and whose we would help us make decisions in God's wisdom. He knows the best for us and loves it when we apply wisdom to get what we ought to get.
