Natalie
Welcome back to another episode of David and Natalie are in therapy.
David
David and David and Natalie are in therapy.
Natalie
Yeah. This is another therapy session because I'm about to go. I don't go to town on your ass.
David
Okay, take it easy. We are in.
Natalie
I can see you eyeing the record button like you want to stop.
David
Yeah, we are stuck in. We are stuck in Norway.
Natalie
We're not stuck in Norway.
David
Well, I mean stuck. It's because it's just me and you. There's no one here.
Natalie
Okay, that's okay. This is actually one of my bones that I want to pick with you.
David
Okay. I don't know what you're going to say, but okay. So yeah, Jason's out here right now. We're in Norway. We go back to. We have such a busy month. It's kind of crazy. We have so much to do and we're behind on the vlogs. Surprise, surprise, it happened. We missed a week. May miss another. We just. I. We can't edit from here. We can't like, talk, communicate with editors properly. We have a vlog that we edited that I don't even really want to put out. Sort of like a chill vlog. I may put it on the second channel. So. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. Like, I don't want to go into the vlog discussion because God knows that. Okay. Anyway, vlog coming soon. In a week and a two. I'm not stopping vlogging any type shoes, I'm trying to say, but there may be breaks here and There that are, like, a week or two long. Okay? So just don't be scared. What were we talking? Okay, go ahead. You can start it off.
Natalie
Okay, well, I just want to talk about your sentiment towards me, you know, because, number one, you are so motherfucking lucky that you have me in your life. It's actually crazy, like, how you just stumbled upon me in the neighborhood in Vernon Hills. Now we're here together, traveling, working.
David
This is your mom talking.
Natalie
No, it's not. If you gave me any, like, ounce of gratitude or, like, appreciation, then I wouldn't care.
David
I do. I do give you appreciation when you
Natalie
can't just because you say one nice thing out of 20 that are fucking horrid.
David
Okay, hold on. Time out, Time out. Time out. Time out. Time out, time out.
Natalie
Yeah, defend yourself, brother.
David
Well, I'm not gonna defend myself.
Natalie
You just said you're trapped here with me. Like, God forbid. You're here with your best friend and we're hanging out.
David
Okay, first of all, you know, it really doesn't feel like I'm here with my best friend because you fucking lying to me all day because you're.
Natalie
You're.
David
It's fucking psychotic, dude. It's like, Natalie, last night, we were. Last night we were. I mean, this is gonna sound crazy, but we were out last night, and
Natalie
against my will, I'm like, I need a reminder because.
David
Well, first of all, Nelly was like, let's go for a walk and get food. I was like, great. We were in the hotel. They saw Go, and then we noticed, like, a small, like, club Vibey area, like, here in Norway. And I was like, let's go.
Natalie
Like, everything is dead silent here. And there was this one club, like, in the middle of the park in
David
the most abnormal place ever. It was almost like a beer garden in a festival. But it's in the middle of this, like, beautiful town.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
It just didn't make any sense, but it was operating like a club. Like, they were playing ABBA and all
Natalie
the best American hits.
David
Yeah. Like, it was very David. It was like there was.
Natalie
It was like summoning you. Like, we know he's here.
David
There was, like, beers. Beers were the biggest thing in the slushy drinks. It was, like, crazy. It was very, very David. Like. Like, I was. I really, really dug it. And it was like, you could chill. You could hang out, smoke, sit. It just felt. It felt good. And I was there with Natalie, and I'm like, until now. So let's get one drink. Obviously, we ran to a couple people.
Natalie
We walk In. I'm like, david, we shouldn't go in. Like, I know. I know where this is going to lead. Like, we're going to be here for hours. And we walk in immediately. There's young people, like, everyone's having fun. And I'm like looking around, I'm like, oh, I'm fucked.
David
Yeah. Natalie was like, did you look in there? It's only like 50 and 60 year olds. I was like, yeah, I don't care. I just want like. I want like the vibe of having a beer in Norway and a cigarette.
Natalie
My mistake. I believed you. I thought we were going to go in. For what?
David
Well, I thought you were right. I thought it was just a. All like 50 year olds. And then we met like these like 20, 28 year olds that were. That literally bumped right into us and they're like, you want to join our table? And I looked at Natalie and I was like, oh. So then, yeah, we joined their table.
Natalie
Oh my God. Which is so funny because, like, we're like all the way across the world and it's just you and I. And then like these like, rant. I feel like everywhere we go, there's like random friend groups that sort of
David
just like absorb us, that adopt us.
Natalie
That adopt us, like for an evening or a weekend or whatever. It's really funny.
David
Like all the random that is kind of interest and they like.
Natalie
And it's very normal. Like I'm sitting there, I'm talking to every single one of their friends. Like, I've known them my whole life.
David
This happens a lot. And it's crazy how like, at some point in our lives we'll have like friends from all over the world. Yeah, that's kind of interesting to think about. Yeah, yeah, no, definitely. Like we. So we sat with them and talked for like, like four hours. Yeah.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Ended up being a really long time. It was way more than one drink.
Natalie
I kept looking at my phone and I was like, okay, I'm gonna say for. I kept texting David on the side. I'm like, I'm gonna stay for 20 more minutes. And then I'm leaving. I look back on my phone. Like an hour would pass.
David
So I asked Natalie when we had work the next day. We're here. We got here a day early so we can edit the vlog. And again, the vlog's impossible to edit because our editors in Taiwan and Ferris, who's our production guys in the U.S. so we are literally perfectly on three different time zones. Like, literally covering 30% of different times. Like one person wakes up, the other person's going to bed, the other person has midday. It's like perfectly spaced out where we can't all get on the phone at once. It's fucking horrible. So like we literally had nothing to do. So we went out and we just went to the club and. Oh yeah, I asked you, I was like, when do we have like an obligation? The next day?
Natalie
They keep getting and, and they're like, they're excited that Mr. David Dobrik is here. So they're bringing out champagne bottles, they're bringing out shots, buckets of beer. And I'm like, oh my God, this is my.
David
I was bringing the buckets of beer. My brother. That was me.
Natalie
And then they, and I did not want to do the shots. And David was like, come on, let's just do a shot. Come on.
David
Listen, I was really stoked about that crowd. They seemed all so nice.
Natalie
No, they were.
David
And it was like the perfect group. Like it wasn't an overwhelming club by any means. It was very like. I don't even know how to explain it almost felt like being in someone's backyard. Yeah, it's very. It was a very strange club. And I can't believe that it was like. I don't know, I don't even explain. But yeah, so then we did that. Natalie told me that we had something at 5pm the next day. Which to anybody, to normal person, that'd be like, I could stay out till 9 in the morning, right? Because 5pm is ridiculous. But to me that's kind of like, okay, I should dial it back because like I'm jet lagged. So like I will Normally sleep till 5pm so I'm like, if I have any work obligation the next day, I should go home a little earlier. So I called it around like one or two and I went home thinking that we had something today to do. And then Natalie texted me. Natalie texted me hello, question mark at 2pm and like, keep in mind, she's been texting in other group chats about me. She's like, I think David's sleeping, I should get him up. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. She's saying she know the group chats. And then she texted me, hello, question mark. I said, hi. And then she texted me, let's get a move on at 2:30. And then I'm like, oh fuck. Okay. Like, I guess we've got to go. We gotta record the pot, we gotta do stuff. So I hop in the shower and then I text her. I text her after I shower what's the vibe? Do you want to come by in 20? And she texts me back. She goes, for what? I go, what? You just fucking woke me up.
Natalie
I didn't know you were up.
David
And then she's like, I thought you're
Natalie
just laying in bed and we're gonna, like, rot. And I was like, I don't want to do that because I'm being productive right now.
David
Yeah. So then I did all that for nothing. And then. And then she gets here at 4, 45, like, hours later. I'm like, dude. She's like, let's record the podcast. I'm like, we're gonna be late for the five o' clock meeting. And she's like, oh, I made that up. Just completely been lying to me all day. About time.
Natalie
It's really hard when everybody at the group, at the table is like, you know, it was everybody against me because they were all like. They wanted me to drink.
David
Actually, no.
Natalie
Yes. Everyone wanted me to drink.
David
There's a lot of people that had your back.
Natalie
Only because I was making them feel guilty for. Guilty me.
David
Because I was like. I was like. Every time I would get a shot. Hampton. I'm like, I'm sorry. I can't drink unless the boss drinks.
Natalie
I know.
David
And I have a problem.
Natalie
You kept, like, suctioning me into your.
David
I mean, yeah, I didn't want to be the. I didn't. There's two of us, so I didn't want to be drunk by myself.
Natalie
No. For sure. But, like, when the other person doesn't want to be drinking on a Sunday night.
David
Yeah. But it just kind of felt right. Do you know? I mean. I mean, looking back at it, didn't it feel kind of right?
Natalie
No, I had fun. Like, I had fun, like, with my couple beers that I drank, it, like,
David
kind of solidified Norway as, like, a visit. Do you know? I mean.
Natalie
Yeah, no, I feel that, like, we
David
really, like, we visited Norway. We're here for a meeting for waivers. Can we say what's happening? Yeah, go ahead.
Natalie
Go ahead. Tell them. Tell the class we're here. This is where Circle Kids is headquartered, which is if, you know, we have Circle k in the U.S. but in Europe, it's like their version of 7 11. It's huge. And Weaver is going to be carried in Circle K's across the globe.
David
How many locations is that?
Natalie
I don't know. A couple thousand.
David
Couple thousand locations. So we're meeting all the reps from all the countries?
Natalie
Yeah. Everyone's gathering at HQ to talk about, like, the New product launches and releases and waivers is obviously one of them. So we get to meet with, like, every head of every country of Circle K. It's kind of fun.
David
Big, big deal. Which is gonna be kind of lit. I wonder if it'll be, like, a drinking thing.
Natalie
I don't think there's gonna be drinks.
David
I kind of want to start drinking again. Like, heavily. No, I really do like it. And I actually. I feel like I'm doing a good job of not overdoing it. I'm, like, doing a good job of, like, drinking.
Natalie
I don't know, brother. Because the other night in Cannes, you were not doing a good job.
David
Night in Cannes. I overdid it.
Natalie
You're trying to, like, drag you out of that party, and you're like, no.
David
Well, that's because there was this guy who's being a jerk.
Natalie
We after party in Cannes, and we're there for, like, all of the 10 minutes, and some guy, like, you know, introduces himself to David and. And whatnot. And, like, they're talking for, like, two minutes, and then all I hear out of this conversation is, are you gay, bro? That's what he says to you. Do you remember that? And then he was like. Like, he thought that you were gay this whole time.
David
Yeah. Oh, yes. Yes, yes, yes. I was like, am I gay?
Natalie
And then you really got really defensive. You're like, wait, no, I'm not. I'm not gay. Like, I'm straight. And he was like, no, no. Like, you're gay. He, like, insisting on you being.
David
That's how I always referred to. And he. That was actually really funny. But he was like. Then he. Like, when we were leaving, you guys, like, were up, like, pulling me to leave, and he's like, you have to stay. We're going to have to party. And I was like, oh, I gotta go. And he goes, those people, they're fake. You're like, about you guys. And then I was like, dude, I think you're fake. I told him, like, we were in each other's faces, but, like, almost like. Like, playfully.
Natalie
Yeah. Like, you guys were talking like, you're about to kiss.
David
Yes. Yes, yes, yes. But you couldn't.
Natalie
What you were saying.
David
What we were. What we were saying.
Natalie
And we were all so annoyed because they're waiting on you to leave.
David
Yeah. But I was like, you're fake. Those are my fucking friends. I've known him forever.
Natalie
I know.
David
Like, if I didn't go with them, that would make me fake and try to explain to him. Yeah. So then. Yeah, so then they had to drag me. His friends had to drag him away from me.
Natalie
Everybody thought we were like, are they gonna make out or are they gonna fight? Like, what's happening right now?
David
I actually kind of feel that.
Natalie
So his friends were like. And neither his friend group didn't know you, and your friend group didn't know him. So we were like, they're not friends. So why are they, like, talking so intimately or whatever so closely? And so each friend group was, like, trying to pull each of you away from each other.
David
Yeah. Then we were leaving, and then we left the party. I was very drunk. Ranter or Rami Malik?
Natalie
Yeah, Rami Malik was there.
David
The guy from Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody. Well, he's not the guy from Queen. Well, I know, but, yeah, he's the guy. Yeah. In Bohemian Rhapsody. Really great guy. I have a story with him once where he told me that my zipper was undone.
Natalie
Oh.
David
So I told him. I was like, rami, you told me once that my zipper was undone. And you saved me from. For the rest of the party. And Rami goes, that's the kind of guy I am.
Natalie
Yeah. So funny. It was a great response.
David
Yeah, it's really funny. So, yeah, Cannes was really fun.
Natalie
So fun.
David
Croatia and Cannes were very beautiful. We very, very much did a early European summer start. God knows when that vlog will be out. Maybe in a week. Maybe in two. Yeah, probably in a week, hopefully.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
I don't know. And. Yeah. And this is the tail end of our trip. We go back from Norway, and at the house on Thursday, we have, like, this big. This is crazy that we're doing this. I can't even believe we're doing this.
Natalie
Yeah, me either. I don't even know how it came together.
David
Me neither. We're doing. We're doing a thing for the movie. Screaming, scary movie. Scary Movie. Fuck. Why do I get those two confused?
Natalie
Oh, because they're very similar. Like, Scary Movie has Scream in it.
David
Right? Right. God damn it. Why do I get them so confused? They're both Paramount, too. Yeah. We're doing something for Scary Movie, and we have, like, two performers. Can I see the performers coming to the house, or is this just, like. I feel like I'd rather not, but, like, two people come in to perform, and we're doing, like, a party, and this kind of sprung up out of nowhere. We're doing, like, an event with Paramount at the house on Thursday.
Natalie
It really, like, escalated into, like, a big event.
David
Yeah.
Natalie
Like, now we're throwing a party.
David
Now we're throwing a Party on Thursday, we land Wednesday, and then we're right into the thick of it. Yeah, it's just a lot. A lot's going on. And then. And then we have some pickleball tournaments and things, and then we get back on the road, we go back to
Natalie
France and pickleball tournaments and things. People are like, damn, you're so busy.
David
Yeah. And then I have one meeting at 5pm in a week. No, but they're all very like. Yeah, they're like big things that we're doing.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Big events that we've been big events planning for a while, which is kind of exhausting because I really thought. I feel this, like, little European leg that we were gonna do. We were gonna kind of just get to chill, I don't know, back to
Natalie
Cannes in June, too.
David
I really, guys, I really, really, really, really. I wish we're. We're so close and we're so far with these videos. Like, I really wish we could figure out a way where I'm not looking at these edits. I really wish, because I really do love filming the videos. And I think it. It'd be so incredibly easy if, like, there it was just pumped out without me looking at it. Because that I could. I could literally make them every week so easily because it's just me and the camera. But if for some reason we just can't figure it out yet, which sucks. It's taking a while. But I was thinking about it. I was thinking about it like, wow, this is really tough. And I guess you. You guys probably listening are probably like, what's David bitching about? Everything seems fine, but, like, I don't know. I really thought I could do every week and not miss a single week with the series. And I've kind of failed that. But I think it's good. I think these are learning steps. These are like those, you know, like, these are like those moments where you fail and, like, it kind of helps you adjust. That's kind of. That's kind of where I feel like I'm at. Like, I'm, like, learning things by failing. Yeah, I'm not failing. I'm failing forward, if that makes sense. Like, at least, guys, the NBA playoffs are here, and there's no better way to cash in on the action than Price Picks. Listen, guys, if. If you're ever going to listen to an ad read, it's this one. Natalie
Circling back to the bar last night.
David
Okay.
Natalie
Okay. So.
David
Oh, this is where the beef was.
Natalie
Yeah, this is where the beef was.
David
I'm really confused.
Natalie
There was like somebody was talking about they were coming to LA or something and then you, like, brought me into the conversation. And then they were like, oh, we're going to go visit the Grand Canyon. I don't know if you remember this moment.
David
Yeah.
Natalie
Okay, so this guy was like, we're gonna go visit the Grand Canyon. And I think you pointed to me being like, oh, she loves the Grand Canyon or something. Whatever.
David
I was like, grand Canyon, Is it worth visiting? That's what I said to you?
Natalie
Okay, yeah, maybe it's not necessarily with you but it is a little bit, so. And then there was another guy that was like, you know, handsome guy. And you love more than anything when there's someone even that's 10% attractive to be. Like, hey, if you're single. My friend over here, Natalie. Her. She's really. She's really single.
David
Wait, wait, hold on. Time out. He was really attractive.
Natalie
No, no, he was. He was cute.
David
Oh, okay.
Natalie
He was the. Yeah, he was cute.
David
Yeah. Shout out me.
Natalie
But you do that to any. You did it also for. With four other guys before that guy came along.
David
Yes. I just didn't know that guy was gonna come along.
Natalie
Let's just wait. Let's play the night.
David
I feel like at the time, I was always operating at the hottest person in the room. And then the new hottest guy would walk into the room, and I was like, oh, no, wait, Natalie's single, by the way.
Natalie
Well, that's why we can't just, like, throw ourselves everything.
David
Yeah, there were, like, four hot guys that, like, walked in right after each other and incrementally got hotter and, like,
Natalie
I'll let you know if I'm, like, in the mood to be, like, flirting and whatever. Cause, like, that wasn't my night. We just had, like, three fucking strokes and beer.
David
I really thought you were gonna pivot.
Natalie
I know you did. You really felt like I was going to. And let me tell you why I couldn't make the pivot. Okay, okay, okay. Because so this guy that's was the cute guy. He was like. He was like, oh, I know Natalie's single. I watched the videos. Like, she's obviously so single. Whatever. He makes this, like, joke.
David
I didn't understand what he meant by
Natalie
that because I don't. Because last time we were. I don't know. I think I understood what he meant by that.
David
I don't really know what that meant.
Natalie
Like, he was, like, saying, obviously, she's single. She's fucking around in every fucking vlog.
David
Oh, I don't think that's what he meant.
Natalie
It is what he meant.
David
Why?
Natalie
Because then Grand Canyon conversation comes up.
David
Oh, shit.
Natalie
And then the Grand Canyon conversation comes up like. Like two, ten seconds later. And then he goes, don't refer to Natalie as the Grand Canyon. Like, about my vagina, I'm assuming. No, I don't think so. Yes. What. What other possible way could you interpret.
David
Oh, like he made a joke that, like, I would make.
Natalie
Yes.
David
Because I was not referring to you as the Grand Canyon.
Natalie
No, you weren't. No, no, we were. We were actually just Talking about the Grand Canyon. And then he tried to make a joke. Like, obviously, to, like, you know, be like, but, brother, we've been friends for 20 years. I just met this guy 10 seconds ago.
David
Yeah, but, like, you can't. Come on. You can't blame the guy. I know it's not the right thing to do.
Natalie
I was like, excuse me.
David
Yeah, no, that's. No, that's for sure crazy. But, like. But, like.
Natalie
And then you laughed at it.
David
Really?
Natalie
Yes, you did.
David
I don't think I heard him say that. I don't.
Natalie
Nope. Because you made a comment.
David
Wait, what did I say?
Natalie
You go, fat ass. And I was like, you know what? I think my time here being a supportive friend is done.
David
That's really funny. Wait, this is the guy?
Natalie
This is the guy. And then I was like, you know,
David
you're like, fuck this.
Natalie
I don't care to be here anymore, actually.
David
Damn.
Natalie
And everyone's so wasted. I'm sober. It's getting late.
David
I'm shocked you were sober. There were feeding us so many shots. Was there no alcohol in those fucking mouthwash shots?
Natalie
There is. It's like. It's like Jaeger.
David
So it doesn't count or, like, what?
Natalie
No, there's alcohol in it for sure,
David
but it's, like, really small.
Natalie
No, they were really small shots. They were very deceiving.
David
Oh, yeah. The glass was, like. The glass was, like, filled up.
Natalie
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
David
Wow. Okay. Well, that's crazy. You had that experience.
Natalie
I'm like, david, I'm going home. Granted, I know you were having a good time, but this motherfucker lets me walk home in these streets of Oslo by myself.
David
Natalie, the hotel is hotels.
Natalie
I didn't know that at the time.
David
You could see the hotel from the club.
Natalie
I didn't know that at the time.
David
Oh, okay. Where did you go?
Natalie
You're like, bye.
David
Well, I didn't say bye. I said, you should really stay.
Natalie
Oh, thanks. Anyways, I just want to say, you're the worst.
David
Really?
Natalie
Yeah.
David
I feel like I'm done. You're done with fire?
Natalie
I'm throwing in the hat. I'm throwing in my towel, whatever the expression is. I'm done being really nice, caring, thoughtful best friend.
David
I was kind of there for you yesterday, to be honest.
Natalie
No, you weren't.
David
Yeah, we went out because you wanted to go for a walk and get some food.
Natalie
I wanted to eat. I would have gone to eat by myself.
David
I was supporting you, making sure that you got to the right.
Natalie
Turn this on me.
David
Okay, well, regardless. What does that Mean you're done. You just wanna. You just wanna.
Natalie
I'm putting my foot down.
David
Like you're going, like you're going your own way.
Natalie
I'm going my own way.
David
Like you're going to work for Mr. Beast.
Natalie
Actually, Jimmy, I would love nothing more. Mr. Jimmy, please call me.
David
If Mr. Beast called you.
Natalie
If Mr. Beast called me, I mean, he'd have to like somewhat match the amount of money that I make right now. But I think I'm pretty valuable, so
David
that's pretty easy for him.
Natalie
Yeah, of course, yeah.
David
For Mr. Beast.
Natalie
Yeah, yeah. It just kind of depends on what I did.
David
You'd have to match the money and you'd leave. That's crazy. Are you fucking kidding me? I thought you were gonna be like 5x or something. He has to match the money.
Natalie
No, he'd have to more than match. I'd have to have like some sort of like. Well, I don't know what my job would be. That's what I'm saying. It depends on what my job is with him. Like if it's something I can do remote, like from California and he can like match my salary, I would consider.
David
And then what do you do with me? You just leave me.
Natalie
No, we still. I'm in California, I get to hang out. We still do things.
David
No, no, no, no. But who manages me?
Natalie
Oh, yeah, I'm out.
David
Oh my God, that's crazy. Just for, just for Mr. Okay. How much would he have to do for you to leave?
Natalie
I'm not saying that because I don't want to allude to how much money I make.
David
No, no.
Natalie
X, like X, like for me to leave, move to North Carolina and like be his manager.
David
I don't even want to say move to North Carolina because I feel like that, like that would like 5 exit.
Natalie
Well, that's huge.
David
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Natalie
So that is a part of working for him.
David
No, I'm saying how much your salary right now for you to leave? I've given this question to Taylor before and Taylor answers this like, complete opposite
Natalie
of you because she's just so devoted.
David
Yeah, Taylor's like, I don't care. Taylor's like, if you 1000x my salary every time I leave, Taylor's a ride or die.
Natalie
That's insane.
David
I think Taylor just is there for the vibes.
Natalie
I go, I'm not like a vibe person. I'm like really driven and ambitious. Like, I want.
David
No, you're fucking cold hearted. That's who you are.
Natalie
No, I'm not. Yeah, no, I still I would still love to hang out.
David
Okay, give me the X amount. Oh, my God. Phil of God.
Natalie
I'll still call you from time to time. Don't worry.
David
Give me.
Natalie
If he, like, 3X'd it.
David
Really?
Natalie
Yeah.
David
It's so easy for him.
Natalie
No, it's not. I don't. Maybe you don't know how much money I make.
David
I actually have no idea how much money you make. Yeah. Do you think it would make me mad?
Natalie
Probably furious.
David
No way.
Natalie
Like in general, like, how much money I make in total or just from you specifically?
David
In total.
Natalie
Oh, yeah. I think you'd be pissed.
David
Do you want to tell me right now? No. No.
Natalie
Absolutely not.
David
Why?
Natalie
I will never tell you my life for this exact reason. I don't want you to be mad.
David
This is. Oh, you think because you think I'm going to be like, okay, she's overpaid. Yeah. I mean, that's kind of what my
Natalie
anger would be, 100%. But you think everybody's overpaid.
David
That's not true. I don't think that. I think John's underpaid.
Natalie
Don't even. Don't even gaslight me like that.
David
First of all, John is the glue. We've talked about this.
Natalie
No, I love John. And I think that he is very appropriately paid.
David
I know.
Natalie
I'm kidding.
David
Okay. So you're not gonna tell me how much you make?
Natalie
No.
David
Huh.
Natalie
I feel like you can guess. I don't think it's. I actually don't think it's that crazy. I don't think you're actually kidding. When I say you're gonna be close,
David
I'm not with my fingers. Am I close? This is yearly. Yeah, really? Fucking motherfucker.
Natalie
You're so far off, brother. It's crazy.
David
Too high.
Natalie
You have no perception of, like, finances?
David
No, I have none.
Natalie
I own a home. I drive a Ferrari.
David
Oh, my God. Are you fucking flexing on me?
Natalie
No, I'm just saying I obviously make a lot of money.
David
God damn. How much do you make?
Natalie
I'm with you 24 7. My entire life is dedicated to you. I better be making a good amount of money.
David
Oh, that's rude.
Natalie
No, but that's the truth.
David
So. You should have stayed with me at the club yesterday.
Natalie
I did for a very long time. I sat there against my will.
David
I was like, okay, we came all the way here.
Natalie
We're in Norway by ourselves.
David
Well, congrats. I didn't know you were doing so well.
Natalie
I'm buying a new home.
David
You are?
Natalie
Yeah. Dead ass thinking about it.
David
Dead ass Nazi.
Natalie
This is how you're gonna get pissed.
David
You're buying a new home. Are you fucking kidding me? What do you mean you've been. Have you been looking at other homes?
Natalie
I'm always looking.
David
Are you fucking serious? How much do you make, you fucking motherfucker? Dude, I'm about to call the accountant right now and be like, cut her salary in half.
Natalie
See, that's why I don't want to do it.
David
She is so.
Natalie
I didn't want to talk about it.
David
The ego is out of control. She is flexing her second home on me.
Natalie
I know. You're gonna fucking side text your accountant.
David
No, I'm not. I literally don't have the capability of like, don't, don't, don't. Oh, my gosh. I really should check. I really should check.
Natalie
I'm kidding. It's not that much.
David
Okay. Are you excited to go back to la?
Natalie
Yeah, I guess.
David
What the fuck? What's. Where is all of your guys's loyalty towards our homeland? Nobody was excited to go back.
Natalie
A bad time. Like, I'm not. I would never complain about, like, what we're doing right now.
David
No, I'm not having a bad time. But there is.
Natalie
There is a bitch every single day.
David
Well, because there's a fucking saying that's tried and true and there is no place like home. There is no place like home.
Natalie
No, your home for sure. I get that you people take, like my home right now because we haven't been there and I haven't like, been taking care of it for the past three months is like stressing. It's like a pile of shit that I got to get done that I'm like, I don't want to have to think about and I'm gonna have to do all that when I get home.
David
I think no place like home applies to any kind of home.
Natalie
I miss my bed for sure. But actually the bed here at this hotel is pretty nice.
David
The bed here in the hotel is incredible. I think no place like home, though, applies to more than just like your physical home structure. I think it's like your routine, your car, your friends, the weather.
Natalie
But we've been with our friends. We've only been away from our friends for like five days.
David
I know, but Natalie, when it's just me and you, truly, it truly really makes my heart hurt. It's really difficult.
Natalie
It makes me sad that you feel that way about me.
David
Really?
Natalie
Yeah.
David
You would just. You literally just said you'd leave me for. For 1.5 your salary. You literally just said, if Mr. Beast threw in a free vacation, you'd go every vacation.
Natalie
Jimmy, please call me.
David
You move to Carolina for that? It's fucked up.
Natalie
I actually really like North Carolina.
David
You know what? There is actually a perk in that, probably for you. 100%. Yeah. That actually would kind of be crazy.
Natalie
No, I, like, there's. There's a lot more to it.
David
Right?
Natalie
Like, I just like, obviously being like, oh, if you 1.5 my salary, like that sounds stupid, but there's a lot of other secondary perks that come along with having a job like that.
David
Right. Because you'd actually find a family there.
Natalie
Yeah, I'd probably find family, settle down, be making the same amount of money, be able to live a, you know, similar lifestyle. I could still come to la, still have all my friends.
David
No, but it'd probably even be more exciting to, like. Your lifestyle would be, like, completely different there. Just be, like, chill and, like, very relaxed and comfortable and. As opposed to la, where you're paying out the ass for everything. Yeah. Ooh. Okay. I'm kind of seeing it. Honestly, I would take a job with Jimmy if he hired me to.
Natalie
We should call him.
David
Should we?
Natalie
We probably should.
David
I've thought about that. I've thought about just being like, jimmy, do you want to, like, start, like, a PG13 version of your videos? And, like, I'm the host, like, and you just pay me as, like, the actor, get a percentage of the back end and we call it maybe make a film together, you know, he is Walt Disney, so it's like, this is the time to get in early with him.
Natalie
Yeah, that's true.
David
It's really kind of crazy. It's kind of crazy, like, the fucking trajectory that, man. He said Logan Paul's name, like, a hundred thousand times. And that's what it is. And that's what it is now. Yeah, it's really, really crazy.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Good for fucking him.
Natalie
Pretty incredible.
David
Wow. Do you think you'll ever achieve something like that one day? I don't know.
Natalie
It depends on if you want to work or not. Whoa.
David
I don't know why you're fucking saying that.

This is going to be a. Wait, what do you call it? Controversial take. Okay, ready? Would Michael Jackson. Okay, this is what I see on comments everywhere about Michael Jackson. Let me preface this by saying Michael Jackson is the goat undisputed heavyweight champion of all entertainment entities in the world. The biggest. No one comes close to him. No one touches him. That's it. Period. He's the biggest. It just. It doesn't make sense. He was truly, like the closest thing to, like, a spiritual figure that you could have in the human world. But a lot of people say this. There's two comments that I hate that I see under his post, and someone's. A lot of people say Michael Jackson has fans that haven't even been born yet. People comment that all the time. And I'm like, okay, that's. Most singers, like, most singers have fans. You know what I mean? Most big singers have fans that aren't born yet. Like, I am a fan of Abba and at one point I was not born when they were crushing us.
Natalie
I don't think that's a hate comment.
David
No, it's not a hate comment.
Natalie
Okay.
David
I just, like, don't understand. I'm like, yeah, but I don't think that, like, that explains how great he is. Because I just think it's like. I think it's like a silly comment. This is another one that I find not silly, but I think it's Like a. It's worth an argument is everyone always says Michael Jackson was that famous without social media. Do you see that a lot?
Natalie
I don't get a lot of Michael Jackson content.
David
Oh, I get a lot of Michael Jackson and I, I would argue that that is why he's so famous, because there was no social media.
Natalie
That's true. I could see that.
David
Right. Like, I, I, like, I don't know if he would be big. I don't know if he'd be bigger with social media. I don't think he also could have been bigger at the time. I also, I also, in a way think that social media would have, like, hindered him. Like, he would just been too big. Where he would have been just absolutely, like. I don't know. Do you know what I mean?
Natalie
Yeah, Well, I think, I think he
David
was in the perfect time where, like. I think that comparison is also weird, is what I'm trying to say.
Natalie
You're just saying it's not giving him enough justice.
David
I don't think the first one gives enough justice and I think the other one may be wrong. I think he's famous. I'm not, I'm not saying he wouldn't be the most popular now of all time, but I think that. I don't think social media would have, like, helped him in his situation. I think he was just so big, his voice was in places that, like, the Internet doesn't even fucking touch.
Natalie
Well, it's now the whole, like, media business, whether it's like the news and tabloids and things like that, which is now converted into TikTok. And everybody has a voice back in that. In that time there was like.
David
Yeah, like four channels.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
And it's like, if they're playing Michael Jackson, they play Michael Jackson. No, for sure.
Natalie
But I'm press too. Like, the press was always wherever you got your news and you were, you know, learning about Britney Spears or Michael Jackson or whatever. Those five celebrities that they always talked about were the five celebrities they always talked about.
David
Yeah. 100. And now, now I feel like media cycles are so quick. Like, everyone will have, like, so quick. Everyone will even, like the biggest superstars will have, like six months of, like, shining and then they'll, you know, there's stars for the rest of their lives.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
But like, they'll have like six months where they're like the king of this. The king of this. You know, I mean, where it's like, oh, they did that and then they'll go away for like five, six years.
Natalie
I mean, you Think about it again. Like, you think about. I think it was Harry Styles that sold out, like, eight nights at Madison Square Garden. Like, broke a record or something. Right. It was like this big deal.
David
Yeah. Okay. I don't know.
Natalie
Okay, then I guess that's kind of my point. But, like, it was a huge deal he broke.
David
Well, I know how big. I know. I've seen his things.
Natalie
I didn't know that he, like, broke the record for selling out most nights in a row. Most nights in a row at Madison Square Garden.
David
Okay.
Natalie
Huge deal.
David
Yeah. Yeah.
Natalie
And, like, that was, like, such a major accomplishment that, like, you don't even. There's more examples than just that one with Harry Styles, but, like, it's. It's just kind of like a thing of the fat. It's like, oh, yeah, he did that. You know, like, people just move on, and it's like. No, that was. That's fucking crazy, huh?
David
Yeah. Like, you're just saying there's always something new that's happening.
Natalie
Yeah. Like, it's hard to. It's hard to stay at the top of, like, relevance.
David
Well, even what you said, the reason why I reacted to it that way, I was like. Because I don't even. I feel like that record. I hear something about that every day. Okay. I hear a new Madison Square Garden claim fair.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Because I feel like people always do. They're like, he sold out Madison Square Garden the quickest ever on a Wednesday. People love. People love Madison Square Garden so much. Like, it's such a. Like.
Natalie
Yeah, that's funny.
David
It's like, held. Held to, like, the highest standard of. For music or any performances that, like, people throw that in anywhere.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Yeah. He played at master score garden 40 times. He's at Madison Garden. Even just. That is fucking epic. So, yeah, I guess. Or it's like. It's like when it says. It's like when you're watching a trailer for something, it's like, now the number one, right now the number one movie in America. It's like, every movie is the number one movie in America. It's kind of crazy.
Commercial/Ad Voice
That's true.
David
Or like, when Netflix has a movie that they release and it's the number one movie on Netflix, but they released it, like. Yeah, it's their number one. The.
Natalie
That's funny.
David
They could put this podcast up there and be the number one movie in the flex if they wanted it to. Yeah. So I guess that makes sense. Is it true that I registered to fight in the war? Yeah, apparently Nelly asked me the other day she's like, do you know if you register to fight in the. Like to be drafted?
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Or even more specific. Right.
Natalie
There's this thing called, like, selective. Not participation, but something like that that you have to, like, on. On immigration forms or whatever. And technically, every immigrant is legally required to select. Yes. For that. Like, you have to be, like, selective
David
to fight for the U.S. to fight
Natalie
for the U.S. yeah. Every immigrant is required.
David
How is that. How is that, like, not like a.
Natalie
But there hasn't been an active draft in years and years and years and years.
David
Right.
Natalie
It's not, like, been, like, issue.
David
Yeah. Nellie texted me, by the way, you're registered and you marked. Yes, for I'll go to war if called upon you. I said, why would I ever say that? So. Oh, So I had to say that. Is that what you're saying?
Natalie
So you had to say that. But then there's a. So you have to say that you're a selective participant or whatever. You just. You have to say yes to that. But then there's a second question that says, like, if there is an. If an active draft becomes a thing again, will you go and fight? Essentially, that's what the question is. And you. You marked. Yes.
David
Really? I wonder. Like, I must.
Natalie
Which you didn't have to do.
David
I must have been, like, feeling in some kind of, like, a funny mood.
Natalie
I, like, feel. I feel like this was, like, three or four years ago, and we were. We were applying for your, like, new visas and stuff like that, and I swear to God, you were like, I'm gonna mark. Yes. Like, and Ilya and I will. We'll go. We'll go and we'll fight for our country. And, like, I'm like, this is not a joke. Like, this is, like, a real thing. This could happen.
David
Wait, what? I mean, it does sound like something
Natalie
like, imagine the vlog. I get trapped into war. Fuck.
David
I don't know. I don't know why that, like, partially sounds, like, accurate, but also, like, kind
Natalie
of sounds like I could have made that up too. Yeah, yeah.
David
No, Yeah. I must have been on, like, my Ilia kick back then, whenever I did that.
Natalie
I think so.
David
Because I must have been like, wherever Ellie and I can. Illy and I could go bond. Yeah. That's crazy. I don't understand that, though. Wouldn't they, like, not want an immigrant fighting on the side of, like, what if. What if, like, I'm a traitor and they've no, like, you know, I mean, what if we have to go fight Slovakia and then all of A sudden I'm like, yeah, I can't do that.
Natalie
I mean, I don't know why they require that, but like, I'm assuming it's just like, because they can, you know?
David
Right.
Natalie
Because you want to get access to this country, so they're going to make you do whatever the hell they want you to do.
David
But I really don't understand how the draft, like, used to work. I wonder how many, how many people were drafted in the U.S. world War I? Approximately 2.8 million men were drafted. That's crazy. World War II, 10.1 million Americans.
Natalie
Whoa, whoa.
David
Could you fucking imagine that? Could you imagine that in today's world
Natalie
with how many Americans died in each of those?
David
400,000 military deaths and 671,000 wounded.
Natalie
Wow.
David
Overall, including those missing and non battle deaths, the US recorded over 1 million total casualties. That's like, could you imagine that with like.
Natalie
It does not make sense to me at all, like, the concept of war. I just like, don't. I don't understand how, like, there can be one president over here and another president over here and they're like, we're going to fight. You guys are all going to go out and maybe die.
David
It's so dumb.
Natalie
It doesn't make any sense.
David
Like, someone made a joke about this on TikTok, but it's so true. It's like, why are we going to fight for you? Like, if you have a disagreement, like, shouldn't the presidents just like, get in a ring and like, settle it out?
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Or just fight each other to the death, if that's what it has to be. Like if they're really that passionate, where they're sending millions of millions of people from a country because, like, they want something. Like, I don't know. That is that. Yeah, that is a very, very, very bizarre thing. But yeah, yeah. But could you imagine, like, the draft with Tick Tock today? Like, how crazy that would be Gonna be crazy. That's all you would see. Your entire for you page would be like, opening my mail this morning and seeing if I'm drafted. You'd see some of the saddest and some of the funniest Tick Tock. You'd have, like, you'd have such a wide range of ways people would be reacting to it that it'd be like, pretty crazy. Oh, oh, oh. Last night when we were out, scan was filming me and I was like, let's go to the strip club. Let's go to the strip club. And we were with these people from like a big Brand. I think it's funnier if you know a brand, they're from a big brand. Like. Like a Coca Cola. I don't. I don't even know how to say. But they're a big brand.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
And I. And I was like, I'll just use Coca Cola for the example. Okay. And I was like. And I was like, we gotta go to the strip club. Let's go to the strip club. And then Scan's like, you got to be careful if you're talking like this, or else Coca Cola won't hire you. And the guy from Coke goes, no, that's exactly why Coca Cola would hire you. So, yeah, strip clubs bring people together.
Natalie
See, I was thinking the opposite.
David
I was like, it's your brand deals the strip club. In hindsight, I said the strip club too many times. I thought about it because I. I did sober up, and I was like, oh, but I don't mean strip club. Like, let's go to the strip club. I mean, like, people don't know that. Ye. Yeah, I know, I know, I know. I mean, like, let's go to the next place. I could see how people don't know that.
Natalie
Yeah. When you say go to the strip
David
club, we think you mean, yeah, let's go to strip. I also say let's go to the strip club as a rallying cry. Like, you know what I mean? Like a war cry.
Natalie
Say, like, let's go to the next spot. And everyone would be like, yeah, because
David
I'm trying to build hype. Like, there's something better.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Like, we're at this, like, bar, but let's go to the strip club.
Natalie
We're also not with, like, the demographic of people. Like, we're with people that are in their, like, late 40s to, like, early 60s. They probably haven't been to the strip club because they've been married for 20 plus years.
David
Yeah. But you could tell some of them down.
Natalie
They definitely got some eyes. For sure. There was some outside, actually.
David
The women were, like, way more down.
Natalie
Yeah. There was one woman that was like, natalie, find the strip club. I was like, okay, here we go.
David
She's really funny. In other news, did you see what happened with Ferrari?
Natalie
I did.
David
They reveal the new car. It's the Ferrari, Lucius. And everybody's up in arms about it. Just like, like, listen to this.
Natalie
No, this cannot be real. This cannot be real. This cannot be real.
David
I'm having a bad dream.
Natalie
I'll wake up tomorrow morning and everything is going to be all right. This cannot be real.
David
Are you kidding me?
Natalie
Oh, my God.
David
Yeah. So this guy's basically pissed off and every video is like, this about the new Ferrari. It's an all electric car, which is fine, that was coming, but just how it looks is so crazy. So not Ferrari. And I have a hot take on it. And I'm not just saying this to be actually, I am saying this to be different. I'm a little confused about my stance on it. I think it's very cool looking car and I think it's like you love
Natalie
to be just like against.
David
That's not what it is though. That's not what it is. First of all, the inside is crazy. I'm not gonna talk about it too much.
Natalie
It's a cool looking car. It's just weird for Ferrari.
David
Super weird. But. But Ferrari said this one thing. Like One of the CEOs said this because, like, everyone's kind of pissed about the newer cars. They're like, well, the older cars still exist, so, like, you don't have to buy it. Like, you could buy the older cars.
Natalie
Right?
David
Or, you know, whatever. Yeah. Honestly, I adopted that mentality for the vlogs because I was like, yeah, I'm gonna make new stuff. Who cares? Because the older stuff that you love is still there. Yeah. Like, I gotta grow and may I. Will I maybe one day make some electric Fer style videos? Yeah. But the old ones are still there. I like that.
Natalie
Interesting. I do like that.
David
Yeah, I like that mindset. It's like, it doesn't really change anything about like, I think, I think singers. Singers probably have that mindset, like fully, right? Like, yeah. How many singers put out albums that you never hear about because they suck, but like, they have the bangers, right? And they're there forever. So that's just a little lesson from Ferrari guys. Just trying to teach you guys to experiment, make new stuff.
Natalie
Follow your heart.
David
Yeah. Tomorrow morning, Natalie, we go back to la.
Natalie
I'm so excited.
David
Yeah, we are back now.
Natalie
I'm like really feeling it for some reason. Like today I just like, maybe because it is. We're going home tomorrow. That it's all kind of like hitting me. Like, the exhaustion, the everything.
David
I can't even imagine what it's gonna be like. I don't even know. I don't even remember what home's gonna be like.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
What's the first thing you're gonna do other than, well, I'm gonna do Taylor Sandwich. You know what I love? I love seeing Taylor.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
I love seeing her pick. Pick me up from the airport. It's like, my favorite. I don't know what it is.
Natalie
Comforting.
David
Yeah, it's like, it's. She's got, like, such golden retriever energy where it's like, oh, wow, I'm back home.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
Yeah. It's a really good vibe. Yesterday, I was drunk and I texted in the group chat. What did I say? So, Taylor, you're the goat. I was really.
Natalie
Oh, she was so excited.
David
Yeah. I said, Natalie said, david's drunk. I said, I'm just kidding, Taylor, you're number one. Don't ever forget it, goat. And also, we were in the new Euphoria episode. If anybody's watched.
Commercial/Ad Voice
Yes.
David
Dobrik's pizza is in the background of one of the shots someone sent me. This has been, like, a dream of mine for a while because I've always been like, we're in the most popular spot in all of la. Yeah. Like, I'm not. Like, obviously there's popular spots, but I'm just saying, like, if you just think about all of Sunset Boulevard and, like, the popular area of it or, like, the most visited, we are right in the middle.
Natalie
The heart.
David
Yeah, the heart. Like, I. I can't believe we have the spot we have for do. I can't believe it.
Natalie
I can't believe it either. It's like. Like, way too good to be true.
David
No, it's way too good to be true.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
It's fucking sick. So. And one of the things was, like, when I. When we got it, I was like. Like, I can't wait to be in movies. Like, we're going to be in movies.
Natalie
Yeah.
David
And, like, we got Euphoria, which is pretty sick. I wonder what else is to come. Like, you know what I mean?
Natalie
A lot. I'm sure it's gonna be, like. Like Dobrik Soul forever, because. Yeah, because it's such an iconic location, it'll, like, forever be cemented in media.
David
Like, all we need is, like, one, like, Wolf of Wall street movie or something like that. Like a Martin Scorsese movie to be filmed on Sunset. But it has to be in this time period, which is kind of tough. Yeah, that's the part that I feel like doesn't happen so often, but, like, could you imagine, like, we're in, like, a banger, like. Like a movie like the Godfather and, like, you just driving by.
Natalie
You know what we should do?
David
What?
Natalie
You should make the movie Nelly.
David
You're so lame. Actually, I was actually saying something realistic. You derailed the vibes. All right, guys, that's all the time we have for today's podcast. Thank you guys for listening. Thank you for joining us. Go check out Doughbreak's pizza. Go check out Jason Nash's YouTube vlogs. He'll be back for the next podcast and follow us on things.
Natalie
My name is Natalie, just in case you forgot there because it sounded like you were forgetting me.
David
Nope, did not forget. And Doug, there's nowhere I wouldn't go to help someone customize and save on car insurance with Liberty Mutual. Even if it means sitting front row at a comedy show.
Natalie
Hey, everyone. Check out this guy and his bird. What is this, your first date?
David
Oh, no. We help people customize and save on car insurance with Liberty Mutual together. We're married. Me to a human, him to a bird.
Natalie
Yeah, the bird looks out of your league.
David
Anyways, get a quote@libertymutual.com or with your local agent. Liberty. Liberty.
Natalie
Liberty.
David
Liberty.
