Genesis 14:18-20 “And King Melchizedek of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was priest of God Most High. He blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, maker of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!” And Abram gave him one-tenth of everything.” This devotional reflects on the name El Elyon, which means “Most High God.” In Genesis 14, Melchizedek declares that God is the creator of heaven and earth and the one who delivers His people from their enemies. Through real-life examples, we see that although God’s help may not come in our timing, He is always working for our good and giving us strength in difficult situations. As the Most High God, His plans and timing are greater than ours, and we are encouraged to trust Him, call on Him, and believe that He will ultimately bring justice and deliverance.
