Sit with Kim and Suzie as they finish out the study with 2 and 3 John.

John warns us to test the spirit. Is what is happening truth or error? Would you recognize modern day Gnosticism? John also continues to exhort the family of God in love towards each other. 1 John 4:19, “We love because He first loved us.”Join us as we discuss what is as relevant to us as it was to his first recipients of this letter.

Jump in with us as we conclude 1 John. John continues to dig a little deeper with how to love our brothers and sisters in Christ and the assurance of our salvation.

In the first two chapters we learned about three tests. The test of righteousness, the test of love and the test of truth. Now, in chapter three, John will teach us what it means to truly be a child of God.

John continues to address what it is to truly follow Jesus and warn against creating your own version of truth.

Have you ever asked yourself how you know you have an assurance of faith? Today we discuss what John says is a way we can “know that we know.”

Only about a generation or so has passed since Jesus departed, but false teaching had already entered the church. Much of the same things we hear today in our society were tickling ears and turning them aside from truth. John writes a letter to be circulated among the churches to remind them that he was an eyewitness. He wants everyone to remember some basic truths and know they can have assurance of eternal life.
