I will say we took a break between the. Recording the last episode. Recording this episode. We talked about some things we want to change.

Yes, we do. So last episode we took a little cut in between this, like, opening part and our guests coming. And I don't think we're gonna do that. I think we're just gonna keep the. Keep things rolling right as they come in. Yeah.

And I'm gonna be working on the art for the podcast within a podcast, we call it. That's our final moment where we do the podcast that our guest is pitching. I'm start working for that art here so that we're not wasting time doing it when we're in the.

Well, we're on the couches, though. But you tie it all together with the VO and we have a little narrative going. And so you're doing all those, like, kind of like fun new characters are coming up and it's weaves this whole narrative until they all come crashing together. Could be a really, really good show.

Oh, I. Dude, you know, I don't like to blow smoke up your ass. I think that's one of the best ideas you've ever had. And I think you should. Honestly, if the industry was like, in a better place, I think you should take that out and pitch it maybe. With my wife. And we went on a ghost tour.

And we went into a haunted house, or a house that is claimed to be haunted.

You would. You would hope. You would hope.

It could be, you know, consumerism at its best, where they're propping up and, you know, you gotta go in with a genuine heart.

And that is the. And that is something we. We take very seriously on ghosts.

Genuine hearts.

We were in a house, and maybe our tour guide said something effective, like, take a photo while you're in here. There's a lot of activity.

So I kind of went off. I was like. And, you know, the phone doesn't really make that noise.

Yeah, yeah.

Ultimately it doesn't.

But, you know, like, I'm, like, kind of, like, flipping through them as I. As I'm doing them. There's nothing there.

There's no ghosts. Later that night, we're hanging out at the. At one of the bars at the local haunt, if you will. I love it.

The phone starts fritzing out.

It's making that noise.

Anytime I try to look at the photos, the phone won't let me look at them.

Really? So then even to this day, I.

And you pulled them up and they started going, okay. The whole studio went shut down, and the door was locked.

Because part of it is, of course, my mother's involved, so I don't know, because she uses. They're called divining rods. Have you ever seen these?

No. Well, I mean, I just come to. I think of the Scientology rods that they hold.

They call them cans. I don't know. That's all I know that, like, I.

I think they're. They're attached to something and they get some sort of heart rate.

Like, it's like, about electromagnetic frequency, you something, and they're loose in their little. Like, you hold it like this, and then they're out like this, and they cross. Supposedly when a spirit responds positively to something. And so she white knuckles these things, and we're in the room, we're in wherever we are, and she goes, are you here? And it crosses, right?

And I'm like, you're crossing your chair hands are crossing, right? Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

Well, that's what I'm thinking. I'm like, you're leaning your.

Which is sort of like. Isn't that classic, like, kind of Ouija behavior, too? You're moving it.

But it is weird in the moment, I will admit, when you're asking a question and you can kind of see it, like, she'll be like, cross the rods if you're 9, 10, 11, and it'll cross. And I'm like, see, I don't. I don't know about all that. There was one. We went on an expedition, and she brought all her equipment. She's got EMF detectors. She's got these sort of like. It's radios that. Who knows?

I don't know any of this crap.

It's all the stuff you see on tv. She's got all the equipment from those ghost hunting shows.

Does she have, though? Because this is the one I've seen either. I've maybe. I heard it described, and then I maybe even saw it in person, but it's like. Forgive me if you just said this, but it's like a. It's. It goes off of radio frequencies and it'll go. You, like, are flipping through radio frequency. Hello.

And that's what you hear.

Well, she uses that. And I'm like, turn that off. Because it's an app. It's not like actual. Oh, I've seen some of them.

And she was able to get a sort of story from this spirit that she was communicating with, that it was a young girl that had died in this house and she just was trying to play and she's looking for her brother and all this stuff. Well, come to find out, we checked the historical records of. It was downtown Spring, Texas, if you've ever been, and very haunted place. And there was a historical record of a little girl who died in that neighborhood, who was chasing her brother, and she fell, hit her head on a rock, and now she's trapped.

That makes me a believer.

[Brittany Broski]

I'm saying that's eight out of ten.

No. Yeah, I know, like clairvoyant. But that's like being psychic. She's like, I see things that happened that most people can't. And I was like, what do you mean by that?

Up to that point, you'd never heard her say anything like that?

And. And was. But she. She was like, was that hard for you at all? Or was it like, okay, cool. Mom's got this new thing she's believing in, you know, like friends coming around the house. Were you, like, like, embarrassed or, like.

I was like, why couldn't it have been, like, painting with a twist was your hobby. Why is it ghost hunting? You know, why. Why can't it just be wine?

And, I mean, it is very. At least right now, being out of the house. I don't know. It's a very fun thing, I would imagine, to tell people now.

Yes. And I just ghost podcasts. On the ghost podcast. I knew I had to come here to tell my story.

She. She goes on these expeditions because people invite her. They're like. And it's always abandoned hospitals, abandoned asylums, wherever. And she's like, get me the hell in there. And she does investigations. And here's the thing, right? Like, you do so many investigations. I would like to see some evidence. And she encourages that, too. She used to give tours of cities and whatever, like a walking ghost tour. And she would always encourage people to take photos with the flash on and do live photos so you can watch them back on.

So it must have been. What were they doing in Savannah? Oil, textiles.

I'm from San Diego, California. And we were surfing.

I think I'm going to suffer from some sort of dementia and just sort of gradually decline.

I am going to go with kind of like a. Kind of maybe falling down a big flight of stairs and then just kind of open up.

You think this is going to happen to you?

It's just a gut feeling.

It's kind of open in an area. They're doing construction on it, and I fall three flights down. And I'm pretty old already. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm kind of. Yeah, but that's maybe it.

Mine's. I. I just know I'm gonna die in Louisiana. I don't know how and I don't know when.

[Kyle Mo]

Do you know at what point? Just don't go thinking that or believing that.

Probably like 2018. I don't know why it just hit me and I was like, yeah, that makes sense. Well, I don't know.

My favorite way to die would be. I think this is just coming right now. I've never thought about this.

Some sort of like extreme sport esque. Like it's like I'm picturing like, I don't, I don't know if there's. I guess like wakeboarding is done on the lake, right?

[Brittany Broski]

Yes.

What is, is there an equivalent on like an ocean?

[Beck Bennett]

I mean, I think you just wakeboard on an ocean.

It might just be the same.

I would like to do something where like, kind of like, you know, I'm, I've learned, I've. I've gained skill and I'm decent and so I am, you know, let's say I'm jumping off a wake with my wakeboard and I'm like attempting a flip or like some sort of twist and it's just a very good jump and flip. But then I just, I just immediately drown. So it's like my. What I like about.

[Beck Bennett]

Does anybody see the flip?

[Kyle Mo]

I, I haven't thought that much about, but just the idea of like, okay, I'm doing something cool, but then I want it to be over suddenly after that, that.

[Brittany Broski]

No pain.

[Kyle Mo]

I would like that.

Hey, and for me it'd be an orgy with my family. Like we're all getting off and maybe some Molly's involved. We're having cheeseburgers. It's like a three day thing. We get catered. Yeah. We get a really nice house like on a lake and we're just going to town. Everybody just like releasing. Everybody's releasing.

Don't, don't laugh.

I mean, are you kidding me? My, my closest loved ones just, just releasing all weekend and then I. And then I die and go right into heaven, and that is the last thing I have. And. Yes, girl, come on. Yes. Jesus is like, that's why I made them. That's why I did it. Nobody's doing it with their family. Exactly.

No one loves you more than your own family.
