On this week's episode of What's The Reality, AD sits down with Katisha from Love Is Blind: UK Season 2 and Love Is Blind: After the Altar to get all the tea from across the pond. Katisha opens up about how the experience changed the way she stands up for herself, why she's become more guarded when it comes to dating, and the challenges of navigating life and relationships after reality TV. The two also dive into everything that happened after the cameras stopped rolling, from her relationship with Javen and Demola and the moments viewers didn't see from Season 2 to the drama that unfolded during After the Altar. Katisha doesn't hold back as she shares her side of the story and reflects on the lessons she's taken from the experience. From behind-the-scenes revelations to powerful conversations about self-worth, healing, and moving forward, this is one episode you won't want to miss.

How did you end up on the show in the first place?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I actually applied for Married at First Sight because Love is Blind wasn't in the UK then, so it wasn't an option for me.
Host (Ad)
Okay, let's talk after the altar.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I don't want someone else to speak for me, so. And I know Jem and I know his character, and I'm like, no, absolutely not. Like, I'm not going to sit back in the sidelines and let my story be told for me.
Host (Ad)
Like, no, I'm not going to lie. That conversation was, like, pretty rough to just watch. Like, I was getting irritated.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
You can't tell me how to feel. What has happened upset me, and you don't care about that. And that's the problem.
Host (Ad)
You and Damala reconnected after the reunion.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I know the intimacy of the relationship, and if he doesn't want to, like, admit to that, that's okay. But I know my truth.
Host (Ad)
This is the girl I was hoping was gonna show up today. Like, strong, healed Katisha. Like, no, this is. This is what the girls need to see.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
What's the reality? What's the reality?
Host (Ad)
Hey, you guys. And welcome back to another episode of what's the Reality? It's your girl ad. And you guys, Netflix just recently dropped Love is Blind UK after the altar, so I definitely had to sit down with our next guest to get the tea. Please help me welcome Katisha from Love is Blind UK Season two. Hey. You look beautiful. Stunning, per usual. How are you?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Thank you. And you? Yes, I'm good. I'm good. I mean, I'm down south at the coast, so it's lovely and bright here. How are you?
Host (Ad)
I'm doing good, girl. I'm just trying to keep up. I feel like all this love is blind. After the altar, there's drama, there's a mess. And that's why I need you here to get into it. But before we get into all that, what have you been up to since filming?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Oh, gosh, what have I not been up to? Honestly, it's been. It's been a bit of a whirlwind. I still live in Scotland, so a lot of people, a lot of the rest of the cast, they live in London, so I feel like I miss on quite a lot. But I've been working. I've joined a modern agency in la, so I'm working my way to get to the States, so hopefully we can meet in person one day. And, yeah, just been working, working on myself, working on my work, working on my craft and, you know, therapy.
Host (Ad)
Yeah. I follow you on social, so I saw, like, you and your modeling journey and getting back to Katisha and finding who you are, and I think it's just such a beautiful, beautiful journey that you're on. I'm loving you. Just posted the day, like, working on, like, facials, right?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yes. Oh, my God.
Host (Ad)
So cute.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Hard, like. Thank you. I have a lot of facial expressions, but I don't think a lot of them are not for the modeling ground.
Host (Ad)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I feel that. Okay, so what has been the biggest change in your life since all of your shows have aired?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Gosh, the biggest change, I think, is just the change in how I stand up for myself. Like, I watch Step Back, and I'm quite like, a quite strong woman. But I think you can go into these things knowing who you are, but with the challenges and with the. The separation and isolation of your whole world, like, you really have to, like, think on the ground, like, boots on the ground kind of thinking. And I thought that I did that a lot anyway, but this is just really heightened that for me. So, yeah, definitely, like, how I see myself, how I stand up for myself and how I, like, come into places.
Host (Ad)
I love that. Do people still recognize you from Love Is Blind? Have you had any funny fan interactions?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah, I actually had one yesterday. So my auntie had a barbecue and there was a girl that was here and she was like, oh, you look like that girl that was on the tv. And I was like, oh, yeah. And I don't know. I don't know about you, but, like, I always Find it a little bit awkward. Like, I feel like sometimes people just kind of stare and you're just like, just say hello. Like, I'm a nice person. And I was just, like, giving her all the tea and, yeah, she was loving it. It's. It's. It's fab. Yeah.
Host (Ad)
Yeah. I love it. I love. I love watching people trying to register how they know you. Like, you can see them, like, across the room and they're looking at you and they're like, oh, should I say something? Should I say something? And then, like, they'll walk by and then my favorite is like, weren't you that girl from Love Island? I'm like, yep, that's me. Love Island. They can't put it together.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
And I'm like, yeah, yeah, that's me.
Host (Ad)
Season eight. Yep, that's me. Yeah. Okay. So how is your dating life these days? Are you in a relationship? Are you single?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
No point. Black? No, I've been. I've been looking on the apps, but I'm gonna be honest, it's stuff out here, man. It's just as tough as it was before, to be honest. Yeah, I don't know. I'm not. I feel like it's quite difficult, especially. I don't know about the us but in the uk, I feel like there's a kind of, like, stigma on reality tv. And I've had a lot of people say, oh, like, were you on the tv? And then it's like, judgment straight away. Don't get me wrong, it's not. It's not all men, but, like, yeah, I feel like there's quite a bit. A bit of stigma for it, but a lot of people say, oh, well, why did you need to go on? I'm like, I don't need to. I. I wanted to. So, yeah, it's not. It's not. It's not a lack of options or a lack of dating experience or anything like that.
Host (Ad)
Just.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I just really enjoyed the experiment, actually. I was really inspired by your season, like, just fangirling. But, yeah, I just really enjoyed the experiment, and it didn't work out for me. But that's okay. It was. It was an experience.
Host (Ad)
Yeah. Yeah. You know, if you want a guy that doesn't care if you're on reality tv, come to la, girl. They love it. They want a reality TV baddie.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Okay, well, sign me up.
Host (Ad)
No, they really. They love it here. Okay. How do you think your experience on Love Is Blind has influenced the way you approach dating now?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I definitely. I feel like love is Blind made me realize that I'm not in as much as a rush as I thought I was. I was really open to the experiment. I wasn't like, I want to get married right now. Like, this is my one way ticket. Like, I was very much in the mind frame of, if this works, amazing, but if it doesn't work, I'm going to be okay. Like, this is not my one last chance at love kind of thing. Yeah, it's definitely made me think, okay, there are some things in my career that I thought that I want. That I want to do before I kind of get serious. And what I've realized is with being with the partner that I was with on Love is Blind is there's a lot of things that I was like, oh, we could do this together. And he was like, no. And I'm like, oh, okay. And I realized the importance of me wanting to be with a partner who was as supportive of my dreams as our dreams. Like, I wanted to. I wanted to be us and not. And not a separation. Whereas I'm quite independent. And I thought that I wanted to do my thing and you do your thing. But actually, it's so important. It's much more important for me for us to be a complete unit.
Host (Ad)
Yeah, I feel that. I really feel that. Especially if you're thinking about longevity and a future with that person, if you guys are on two different pages, it's just not going to work.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
It's not. No. Even if you are on two different pages, there needs to be that level of support there and that level of understanding if a certain route you want to go down. Like, they just need to kind of be on board with it. And just because I'm a very supportive person, I'm like, whatever you want to do, I'm here.
Host (Ad)
I love that. I love that. Do you feel like the show has made you more open or more guarded in your dating?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I think more guarded, unfortunately. I'm really trying to work on that. Um, but it's difficult because I feel like there's a lot of things that you can't fix until you're in something. Until you're in a. In a good relationship that you can't figure some things out without actually being in it. Do you know what I mean?
Host (Ad)
Yeah. So when your show aired, we had you guys on for a little bit of time, but I didn't really get to dive into, like, Katisha and who you are. Like, let's talk about your season just a little bit before we get into the. After the altar how did you end up on the show in the first place?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
So I applied. I was. One day, me and my friends were watching your season, and I was like, I imagine. I was like, imagine? I was like, imagine I was sitting on that couch. Like, Kiki came behind the wall. It was my man. Like, see what happens? You know what I mean? I just seen the opportunity, and I generally think that I manifested it. But after your season, I actually didn't apply. So it was like. I think it was like, maybe a year or two years later, and I actually applied for Married at First Sight because Love Is Blind wasn't in the UK then, so it wasn't an option for me.

Nothing beats tradition like weekly game nights at Mom's house and Tostitos crafted with Masa made the traditional way, starting with whole corn kernels with flavors worth gathering around, like a hint of lime and Mexican street corn, and no artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. That's the Tostitos way. Bring Tostitos to your next game night and you'll be winning. Either way, Tostitos tradition matters.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
So I applied for Marriott at first sight, and I was a really big fan of that show as well. And I thought, oh, maybe it'll be the same. It's not the same.
Host (Ad)
Not the same.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
No, it's not the same. And, yeah, I got really, really far. And then they were like, oh, we can't find you a match. And I was like, oh, my God. Wow, I'm that rich. And then, yeah, they can't find you a match. And then a couple. I was a bit bummed. And then that season came out and I was like, wow, I'm really glad I didn't go on that. And then a couple of months later, production got in touch with me, and they were like, we've put your tape forward for. It was the same production company, and they said they love you for Love is Blind. Like, would you want to do Love is Blind? Like, obviously, it's a legal marriage. And I was like, yeah, absolutely. Why not?
Host (Ad)
Oh, my God.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
And it's actually quite funny because I. I was A completely different headspace from when I applied for master. When Love is Blind had came about to the. To the point where we had the same psychologist, and the psychologist was like, you're a completely different person. You must have been to therapy or something, because there's no way that, like, you have changed this much. And I was like, actually, I've been in therapy for six months, so I obviously needed that as well, like, to. To get me to the stage where I was to be put forward for the experiment. So, yeah. Wow.
Host (Ad)
That's an interesting journey. What do your friends and family think watching the show back?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
They think that they. It just doesn't show me. It doesn't give me. It doesn't portray the real me. They're all really supportive of, like, me wanting to do it and everything like that, but they. Yeah, they just don't think it portrayed me at all, which is interesting.
Host (Ad)
Do you have any regrets from your season?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I don't like the word regret because I feel like I learned so much from it. Yeah, there was times where absolutely I could have handled things better, but I'm only human. Like, it was a very intense experience. Like, I don't need to tell you that, like, it's. Is really intense, and it's. You get really stuck into it, and everyone around you is doing the same thing, and you really try to make the right decisions, but you don't have the echo of your friends and family and your usual support network. So you really are there, like, in your own head with yourself, trying to make these massive decisions. So, yeah, I don't. I don't blame that girl. I don't know. I don't. I wouldn't say I'm regretful. I'm like, yeah, okay. I just learned a lot, and. And that's okay.
Host (Ad)
Yeah, I feel this. I feel that. Because regret means that you wish it didn't happen or that you don't like who you became after or, like, you just. I don't know. I'm such a go with the flow and trust the process kind of girl, and especially in Love is blind. Like, you just have to trust the process no matter how it works out, and just know that the days to come are gonna be better. Like, you literally change and grow from that show. So I feel you on the. The no regret.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah. Good. I'm glad because, like. Like you said, it's like you. You're constantly almost saying to yourself, trust the process, even though in the back of your mind, you're like, f. This process.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Host (Ad)
Like, what the fuck?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah.
Host (Ad)
Okay, let's talk after the Altar. How long after the reunion was that filmed?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah, it was quite a big chunk, actually. So the reunion was filmed in, I want to say August, like, slightly after the airing of the show. So it was like August 2025.
Host (Ad)
Okay.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
And then after the Altar was filmed. November. Oh, no, that can't be right. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. No, it wasn't that long then because after the Altar was filmed in November, so it was a couple of months. I get mixed up with dates, trauma.
Host (Ad)
No, that's okay. Yeah, because it's so weird. Like, you film one year, then it comes out one year, then you do something else another year. It's hard to keep up. So let's get into filming. Were you excited to see everyone or were you nervous?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I was really excited to see everyone. I was excited to see the girls, the guys. I don't know. It was one of those things where because so much time had passed, I was stuck between wanting to say my piece and, like, to be honest, I just had fomo. I had fomo. And I also was like, I don't want someone else to speak for me. And I know Jimin and I know his character, and I'm like, no, absolutely not. Like, I'm not gonna sit back in the sidelines and let my story be told for me, like, no.
Host (Ad)
We did find out that you and Damela reconnected after the reunion. Who reached out first?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
He really. He reached out to me, yeah.
Host (Ad)
Oh, okay. Were you guys, like, talking on the phone, texting? Did you actually spend time together?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah. So a couple of days before the show aired, he. Well, actually, no. We had been talking, like, a little bit before the. The airing of the show. Like, we just sent a few texts here and there, just like, well wishes and what you've been up to and things like that. And then a couple of days before the airing of the show, he texted me and he was like, hope you're feeling okay about the show airing tomorrow. Yada, yada, yada. And then actually we had a phone call, I think, that morning, the morning of the drop, because I was quite emotional. I was quite. I was. I was feeling. I was a bit beside myself because I wasn't sure how it was going to play out. I just felt really vulnerable and emotional, and he was really there for me. So that was really nice. And then we just kind of continued that, like, flow of being on the phone and things like that.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
We.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
We didn't meet up. We were meant to meet up. He Bought a train ticket to come up to Scotland, and then he. He decided not to come, which is fair enough. Like, I'm in the mindset of it now where I'm like, okay, it probably wasn't the best time to start a relationship, but, like, we both made a choice and we. And we were very, like, communicative. Communicative about it as well. But anyway, we had a really open communication and we were both like, we shouldn't be doing this. Okay, we shouldn't be doing this, but we want to. And did it, like, kind of like back and forth. And my gripe with it was that he was just playing it down so much, and I was just like. Because I'd been through that with Japan as well. I was just a bit like, oh, well, you're not different then. You know what I mean? I can understand why you feel like that, but at the same time, like, my boundaries need to be stronger than my empathy. Like, I can't just be like, yeah, I get why you did that. Like, you know, I mean.
Host (Ad)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I feel that. When he suggested pausing things while he was on vacation, did alarm bells go off immediately?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah, I was fuming.
Host (Ad)
Yeah.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
To be honest, I was just like, don't treat me like that. Thank you. Like, no, I was just like, nah. And again, he just, like, kind of plays it down. And that's fine if that's how you want to remember it or that's how you want to play it. But no, that, like, no, it's not gonna wash with me.
Host (Ad)
Yeah. What's up with the downplaying? I guess watching it back. He described it as exploring the idea of dating. While it seemed like you saw it more, like it was more than that. Why do you think your perspectives were so different? What was the miscommunication? What was the disconnect?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I think it was just because it was quite uncertain. There was just, like, a lot of uncertainty from both sides. So I think that's. I think we were just both protecting ourselves, to be honest. Yeah. And that just. I guess that comes from a lot of miscommunication, but I was not, like, misinformed. Like, I know the intimacy of the relationship, and if he doesn't want to, like, admit to that, that's okay. But I know my truth, and, yeah, I'm okay with it.
Host (Ad)
What was your mindset going into Kieran's birthday weekend?

Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I was a bit anxious. Isn't the right word apprehensive? I was apprehensive because I was like, what is going to go down? Like, how are these. How are these stories going to be told? And I seen Demolot like, two days before. We traveled to the venue, and we were at an event, and he was there. I was there with Demi from season one, and he just, like, came up to me and he was like, hey, how you doing? Like, gave me a hug. And I was just a bit like, why are you making it seem like nothing has happened? Like, we hadn't spoke. Like, the last time I spoke to him, I was like, I'm done with you. Don't take. No, I didn't say this. I was just like, I don't have a. I don't have a. What did I say? Like, don't give me excuses. Yada, yada, yada. I guess it was, like, put to bed. But, like, also, like, to me, that's also, like, a fight back. Do you know what I mean? Like, I'm pissed off. Like, why do you not want to know why I'm pissed off kind of thing? But he was just like, oh, oh, she's pissed off. Like, whatever. And then he just didn't, like, follow up, I guess. And part of me is like, okay, yeah, maybe I don't really have a reason to be mad, but at the same time, like, I don't know. I don't know. Like, I just kind of thought that he cared about the relationship a bit more than to just be like, oh, well.
Host (Ad)
I just feel like there was, like, a lot of, like, gray area. Like, it was never really black or white. Like, it just feels like a lot of gray space. Space that is, like, left up for interpretation. Like, you feel one way, they feel another way. Like, there's just Muddy Waters. It feels.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah, absolutely. But then he, like, Demola went on a podcast and she was like, oh, you need to come at Atlanta. Like, all the girls here are so nice. And she was, like, pure slagging me off. Like, she's saying, like, really horrible things about me. And Dem just never stuck up for me, like, as well. I just felt like that was really poor of him. Like, he never stuck up for me. Like, he was never like, yeah, I don't know. I don't know.
Host (Ad)
Interesting. Okay, well, what was going through your head when Javan greeted you with a handshake?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I. I was just, like, very on brand for him.
Host (Ad)
Yeah.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
But also, like, what did I expect? Like, I blocked the guy. Like, if he hugged me, I'd probably have the same reaction. I'd be like, what the fuck was that, like, kind of thing? So, like, do you know what? Fair enough.
Host (Ad)
Like, yeah, yeah, yeah. During your conversation with Javan, you explained you blocked him after the way he spoke about you on a podcast. What exactly was he saying?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
He was just making it out as if. Like, he was like, oh, she tried to come back. Like, I've got the text here. Like, she tried to come back, like, making it me seem like I was, like, begging for the relationship and kind of thing when that's not what happened. And I just felt like it was really disrespectful. Like, he was trying to be the big man and be like, oh, well, you know, she wants me. Oh, sorry. I don't mean to swear.
Host (Ad)
Do you think he knew why you blocked him, or he was just kind of not trying to take accountability?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I think a bit of both, I think. Yeah. I think he. He just goes through, like, thinking that he hasn't done anything wrong, and so he's generally, like, flabbergasted. Like, what? Like what?
Host (Ad)
No, he plays, like, flabbergasted. He plays that role very, very well. I'm not gonna lie. That conversation was, like, pretty rough to just watch. Like, I was getting irritated. Like, I'm just sitting here. Like, he is talking this girl in circles right now. Like, he's just really pulling out every tactic that he has to confuse the situation. What frustrated you the most during that conversation?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I kind of tried to control it in a way where I was like, I'm gonna ask you questions, so then there's no way that you can't get out of this kind of thing. Like, yeah, frustrating thing was just him basically saying, well, maybe you made up. Maybe you. Maybe. What did he say? Maybe there's nothing to be upset about. And that's, like, the. But that's the problem. That you don't think that I should be upset, but you can't tell me how to feel. Like, your actions have. I don't want to say your actions have caused this, but, like, my feelings are real, and what. What has happened upset me, and you don't care about that. And that's the problem.
Host (Ad)
Wasn't he saying that, like, he just didn't know and that it was your fault that he didn't know what not to say?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I'm sorry, right? Somebody. Somebody did a podcast about, and they were like, okay, so if I punch you in the face and you don't say, I, am I supposed to? Then just.
Host (Ad)
That pissed me off. He was like, well, how am I supposed to know what not to say? I don't know. Maybe just don't say mean things about people. I don't. Why do you need to coach him on how to be nice?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah, I know. And it is quite frustrating, and I. And if I can be empathetic and understand that you are thinking in semantics, and then you can understand me, right? It doesn't take a brain cell, and you have lots of them, so use them, please.
Host (Ad)
Well, he's got a few. Why did you decide to get up and walk away?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Because he's annoying. I'm not having this conversation. He didn't care. He doesn't care about the conversation. And they wanted to. Took me to sit. Sit down and come back. And I was like, absolutely not. I was. I'm not gonna sit there and be disrespected. Like, see, when he started putting his Vaseline on, I honestly, I just want to, like,
Host (Ad)
no, you stayed a bit longer than. You stayed longer than I or anybody else would have. That was just like. I feel like as soon as he opened his mouth, I'd been like, okay, can we. Can we wrap this up? I don't have anything else to add to this conversation. That was rough.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
But to be honest, the thing is, then it wasn't about him. It was about me. I needed to be like, right, I need to say my piece. I need to stand up for myself, and that's it. It's not about you. It's not about you understanding, because I know you don't understand, and that's okay, But I need, like, I can go into a situation and be like, you know what? It's fine. Like, I don't care, but I do care. So I want to stand my ground and be like, no, this happened. This has made me feel like this. So I'm going to stand up for Myself. And it also show. I wanted to show. I just wanted to show my strength. And obviously, with. I'm not saying, like, oh, I did it for the tv, but, like, I did it for the girls that have been in this situation before. Like, it is a very universal experience, and it's. You need to stand up for yourself. I'm not. I'm not having it.
Host (Ad)
Yeah.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Like I say, your. Your boundaries need to be stronger than your empathy. Like, I'm not going to sit there and be like, yeah, well, that's just how he is. No offense.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Host (Ad)
Sorry, Job. No, that's okay. This is the girl I was hoping was gonna show up today. Like, strong, healed Katisha. Like, no, this is. This is what the girls need to see. And I think, like you said, like, people, women, a lot of us have been in situations where we've been gaslit out of our emotions and our feelings and being like, okay, did that happen? Was that me? You stood strong. You knew what the truth was. You made him see the truth, and you walked away. And I think that was the bravest, most beautiful thing you could have done in that moment.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Thank you. Do you know what's so funny about that moment? He then went and said to somebody else that was there, like, oh, I don't even think that they're gonna air that part, because Katisha didn't even say anything.
Host (Ad)
Oh, my God. This guy worried about the wrong things.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah. Oh, my God.
Host (Ad)
Okay, enough of him. Let's. Let's go back to Demola. How did it feel seeing him in person?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Disappointed. I was just disappointed, to be honest.
Host (Ad)
Yeah.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah, disappointed.
Host (Ad)
Did you feel like you got closure from that conversation?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
The closure comes from. I know that you're. You have your story and I have mine, so that's fine. Like, yeah. Yeah, I. I guess. Yeah. The closure came from. Okay, this is not going to work. So I'm glad that you. I'm glad that we've had this conversation. I'm glad that we've both come to this realization that it's not going to work and we can now just put it to bed and. Fantastical.
Host (Ad)
Yeah. Seems like a lot of closure had to happen at that party. It also seemed like a lot of the ladies were dealing with a lack of respect from these men, especially when it came to handling things in the public eye. Why do you think that kept happening?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I think that men want to uphold this kind of image that they. That they just can't. Like, they can't hold it down. I don't know what I Don't know what it is. I don't know. Like, I don't know why they kind of lean into a character that isn't them. Like, just. I just feel like, just be yourself. Like, I'm confused as to who you are because you're one person with me and you're another person in the public or another person with someone else. Whereas with me, I feel like I'm quite consistently who I am. And, yeah, I just. I feel like they can't keep up with whatever character they're trying to play, I guess. Yeah, that's my observation of it anyway. Like, yeah, I could see that.
Host (Ad)
Have you spoken to Demila or Jevin since that weekend?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Javan? No. Demila?
Host (Ad)
No.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I text him before the show aired and I was like, hey, just want to know if there's anything you want to discuss before it airs. And he was just like, no, like, I'm good. I haven't really thought about it. Like, I hope you didn't do me that dirty, blah, blah, blah. And I just said. I said, well, I know that. Excuse me, Sorry. I said, I know that I was. We were both really vulnerable at that point. So I'm open to whatever comes on the screen. And yeah, I said what I. I said. I just. I just told the truth from my point of view, so I'm open to seeing what yours is.
Host (Ad)
Oh, and you haven't spoken since?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
No, no.
Host (Ad)
After watching it back and seeing everyone's conversation, was there anything that surprised you?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I was really happy with Billie and Ash's conversation. I thought that was really, really sweet. Ashley held her own, like, fantastic. Amazing. She's so strong and amazing. Sarova as well, like, she was really, like. Yeah. Like, her strength is unbelievable because. Yeah, I don't. I don't know if I could handle the situations the way that she does, but I think that's. I think that's the beauty of it is, like, we all handle it in different ways and we all lift each other up. The support that we get from. From each other is just unmatched. And that's the greatest thing that's came from the experiment, to be honest, is like our love and support for each other. But, yeah, no, nothing really surprised me. I was glad that Jed and Barda got to have their conversation as well. It was really nice and beautiful to see. I think everyone did their big one, to be honest.
Host (Ad)
Yeah. Yeah. Besides the voice, always, besides the boys, I feel like the women came and got the closure and just really shut the door and shut the chapters on Everyone and the guys just looked confused and bewildered and just a mess, per usual. Speaking of the ladies, who are you still the closest with?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I bought Barda Sarova, and Ashley and I are really quite close. I speak to Barda the most. I'm seeing Zarova on Wednesday, so I'm staying with her. So, yeah, we're all pretty close, to be honest.
Host (Ad)
Yeah, I love that. That's a cute group. I love those girls. So fun. So cute. After this reality TV experience, would you be open to doing another show?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I would be open. There's nothing specifically that's like, on my radar or anything, but, yeah, I would definitely be open to something that was. I felt like, was right for me.
Host (Ad)
Ooh, I could definitely see you on some shows. Girl, I want you back. Dating. I want you. I want to see you on a dating show. I think that would be fun. I want to see, like, a different, healed, like, hot, fun, sexy version of Katisha. I don't want to see you with these guys. I want to see you with some grown, hot, mature, sexy men, like, living your best life. That's what I want for you.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
The thing is, is I feel like it's very few and far between. Do you know what I think? Like, there's all. There's like, I feel like there's always just one on the season if I can get.
Host (Ad)
No, but the beautiful thing is, like, you can just go and then you'll meet your husband somewhere else. Like, maybe he'll watch the show or maybe you'll end up at an event. Like, you know, you never know. Like, I thought I was gonna get married from Love is Blind. I found my husband on Perfect Match. Like, you just never, ever, ever know. So just be open to finding love wherever it shows up for you.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah, you're so right.
Host (Ad)
Okay, let's play game. This is my confessional booth game.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Oh, gosh.
Host (Ad)
So I'm gonna ask you to step into my what's the reality Confessional booth. You have 60 seconds to give us the juiciest behind the scenes story from your Love is Blind season or after the altar that did not make the air. The funnier, messier, or more surprising, the better girl. Okay, you got 60 seconds. You ready?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Okay. So there was one part. This is. It's not very juicy, but I was having a conversation with Billy after the altar, and he was like, you know, like, trying to give me all that good advice about how I was, like, worthy, and I was like, yeah. And then he was like, you know, basically calling the guys out And I was like, oh, you know, I really wish I could cry, but I'm all dried up. Oh.
Host (Ad)
Oh, did they cut that out? They cut that out, right?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Okay.
Host (Ad)
Yes, girl, let's play another game. This is called who would you pick in this love triangle? So in honor of your dreaded triangle from your Instagram, I want to play a game where I put you back in a love triangle and you tell me who you would pick and why.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
From my season or just like.
Host (Ad)
No, girl, just in general. Just. This is a fun game. I would never torture you.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yeah.
Host (Ad)
Okay.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Okay, I gotta go. No.
Host (Ad)
So you just kind of like, would you rather this or that? Okay. Okay. Homebody versus an adventurer.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Oh, an adventurer. Yeah, definitely.
Host (Ad)
Okay. Michael B. Jordan or Sterling K. Brown?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I don't know who the Sterling K. Brown is, so I'm gonna pick Michael. Is he like Paul? Okay, that's valid.
Host (Ad)
That's valid. You're in a triangle with someone that is an instant spark or someone that is a slow burn.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I have learned my lesson, girly at slow burn.
Host (Ad)
Okay. In a love triangle with bad bunny and Justin Bieber.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Oh.
Host (Ad)
What?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Oh, no. Oh, that's a tough one. Are you sure we can't, like, work it out together?
Host (Ad)
I think. I think you might be able to work your magic. I think you might be able to finesse something.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Yeah, like, I love me a bit of both.
Host (Ad)
Yeah, I love that. Okay, in a love triangle with a chef and a personal trainer, who are you picking?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Girl, if you knew all my exes, they're all personal trainers. Oh, cut them out.
Host (Ad)
Red flag. It's red flag.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Chef. It's chef. Yeah.
Host (Ad)
At least if I'm gonna cry, I'll be fed. Okay, you're in a love triangle with Nick Lachey versus Matt Willis.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Matt Willis. All day. Yeah, all day.
Host (Ad)
I feel that. Okay, you are in a love triangle with someone with a six pack versus someone with a six figure salary.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Six figures, please.
Host (Ad)
Okay, that's the only right answer because I don't know what took you so long. Give me the beer belly in the six figures. Oh, my God. That took a little too long. I'm sweating. I'm scared.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
You don't need a brain to go to the gym. So. Yeah.
Host (Ad)
No, no, no, no. Okay, before we go, what is next for Katisha? What are you looking forward to?
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
I am just looking forward to being my best version, the best version of myself. Like, I feel like as women, we go through versions, we go through primes, and I just know that I haven't reached my peak yet, but each time, because each time I reach it, I'm like, oh, we go again. We go again with a lot less pressure but a lot more wisdom. So yeah, I'm just looking forward to making sure that I get everything that I want and need.
Host (Ad)
I love that. I'm telling you, this version of Katisha is so much brighter and happier from the first version that I met. And I'm just really happy for you. I'm really excited. I love watching you glow and I'm just really excited for what's next for you. So keep me posted on what you have going on. And congrats on your modeling agency.
Katisha (Guest from Love is Blind UK)
Thank you. It was so nice to speak to you.

Host: Amber Desiree (AD)
Guest: Katisha (Love Is Blind UK, Season 2)
Release Date: August 5, 2026
This episode welcomes Katisha from Love is Blind UK Season 2 for a candid, detailed conversation about the tumultuous events during and after the filming—especially focusing on the "After the Altar" special. Host Amber Desiree goes deep into Katisha’s journey, her experiences confronting fellow castmates, the behind-the-scenes emotional struggles, and what self-growth has looked like for her since the show's airing. The discussion covers reality TV’s impact on relationships, female empowerment, friendships, and, of course, plenty of unfiltered drama.
“You can go into these things knowing who you are, but with the challenges and the separation and isolation of your whole world, like, you really have to, like, think on the ground, like, boots on the ground kind of thinking.” (03:49, Katisha)
“I always find it a little bit awkward. Like, I feel like sometimes people just kind of stare and you're just like, just say hello.” (04:35, Katisha)
“Love is Blind made me realize that I'm not in as much of a rush as I thought I was… I wanted a partner who was as supportive of my dreams as our dreams.” (06:59, Katisha)
“…I learned so much from it. Yeah, there was times where absolutely I could have handled things better, but I'm only human.” (12:28, Katisha)
“…I don't want someone else to speak for me. I know Jem and I know his character, and I'm like, no, absolutely not. Like, I'm not gonna sit back in the sidelines and let my story be told for me.” (14:47, Katisha)
Reconnection: Demola reached out; their interactions before "After the Altar" involved emotional support but no in-person meeting.
“My gripe with it was that he was just playing it down so much…my boundaries need to be stronger than my empathy.” (16:19, Katisha)
On Pausing the Relationship: She was frustrated when Demola suggested putting things on pause for his vacation.
“Yeah, I was fuming… No, that, like, no, it's not gonna wash with me.” (17:26, Katisha)
On the Handshake Greeting:
“I was just, like, very on brand for him…What did I expect? Like, I blocked the guy.” (21:37, Katisha)
Conflict Over Podcast Comments: Katisha blocked Javan after he misrepresented their relationship on his podcast.
“He was trying to be the big man and be like, oh, well, you know, she wants me… I just felt like it was really disrespectful.” (22:06, Katisha)
Frustration in Conversation: She details her strategy for holding him accountable:
“…the frustrating thing was just him basically saying, well, maybe you made up…you can't tell me how to feel. What has happened upset me, and you don't care about that. And that's the problem.” (23:15, Katisha)
She ultimately walked away:
“Because he's annoying. I'm not having this conversation. He didn't care…I was. I'm not gonna sit there and be disrespected.” (24:39, Katisha)
On standing up for herself:
“It wasn't about him. It was about me. I needed to be like, right, I need to say my piece…I wanted to show my strength…for the girls that have been in this situation before.” (25:16, Katisha)
With Demola: Katisha felt disappointed, but closure came from acknowledging their separate truths and finally moving on.
“The closure comes from: I know that you have your story and I have mine, so that's fine.” (27:15, Katisha)
Lack of Respect from Men: She observes:
“They can't keep up with whatever character they're trying to play, I guess…I feel like I'm quite consistently who I am.” (27:52, Katisha)
“The support that we get from each other is just unmatched. And that's the greatest thing that's come from the experiment…” (29:32, Katisha)
On boundaries and self-worth:
“Your boundaries need to be stronger than your empathy.” (26:02, Katisha)
On reality TV romance:
"I thought I was gonna get married from Love is Blind. I found my husband on Perfect Match. Like, you just never, ever, ever know. So just be open to finding love wherever it shows up for you." (31:55, AD)
On wanting to model healthy, assertive behavior:
“I did it for the girls that have been in this situation before. Like, it is a very universal experience, and…you need to stand up for yourself. I'm not having it.” (25:16, Katisha)
