Okay, what's new? I feel like my life has just finally calmed down from, you know, love is blind. New seasonal. Thank goodness.

Yeah, I know that. I love that feeling. That's how I felt when you guys season came out. I was like, no one's talking about me.

And I'm very happy that there's a new season. You know, it's funny because during when. When our season was coming out, you know, we were always talking on the phone and it felt like there was like some crisis or something every, every day. So we'd always, like, answer and I'd be like, what? What's going on? And we still have that, like, ptsd. We've been like. Like when we call, she'd be like, is everything okay? We need to stop doing that.

Like, we spiral now. What's happening? Yeah, right.

As friends. I feel like we don't talk every day.

I love that. I love that. I don't feel like I'm close with any of the guys from my season like at all. Like none of them. Well, maybe like Ken a little bit, like he can. Is probably the only one that can text me randomly. But I love that you guys developed a friendship and that you're like able to maintain that. How special is that to you guys?

I honestly couldn't imagine that not being the case.

I feel like I feel bad for anyone who doesn't really have, you know, their, their matches back and vice versa because I don't know, it just feels more state. I don't know. It just feels good.

I know because then you're like against each other and especially when you did it all together and then like you find yourself in like isolation nation.

Yeah. We also, I feel like it was easier for us too because we didn't go to Mexico. We didn't.

Film more where, you know, maybe we wouldn't have liked each other if we kept filming.

Right. There was like, there was like less chance for there to be some like super dramatic. And I also feel like we're lucky we don't have like, I don't know, I feel like neither of us have like drama with anybody else. Like we're all pretty friendly with the rest of the.

I love that. Speaking of Mexico, because I. This is what I wanted to ask you guys. Like, what was it like when you found out one, you weren't going and then two, hearing like that you guys are like the weakest couple and then you guys have like the strongest friendship right now. Like break all that down for me. Like, what was reveal day? Like, I need to hear all of that.

[Brittany]

I mean, just nothing could prepare you for that. It's just so awkward. Even if it was like my husband, it would still be so awkward. And I mean, I knew how I was the only person in the pods not saying I love you to anyone. All the other girls are like head over crying. Like, I love him so much. And I was like, oh, I, I knew I was not going to Mexico. I mean, for sure. I really, honestly that was never doubt my mind, but I feel like he disagrees with that.

Yeah, well, Britney knew. I feel like you knew more than I knew. Yeah, I mean I was saying it and she wasn't saying it back. So in hindsight it's pretty. It's pretty obvious that we wouldn't go.

And I mean, they weren't wrong. They said we Were the weakest couple. And it's, you know, we're not married. We are. We're a strong friendship couple, but that's not what the show is about.

Right. But, yeah, I was, like, crushed. Like, I was super. I mean, who wouldn't want to continue with the experience? So I was super, super crushed when it happened.

Do you guys think if they came and was like, you know, we're going to try to make it work, that you would have been like, you know what? Yes. Or would you have been like, you know, I already know it's not going to. Oh, like, there's no point in going.

No, I definitely would have went for sure. Because, I mean, you're there. You only have a certain amount of time at the reveal, so. And that's not really enough time to, you know.

And it's so weird. There's 9,000 cameras. You're sweating, you're nervous. Yeah. Would you have gone?

[Leo]

Yeah, I think I would have gone.

[Ad]

Yeah.

[Leo]

Yeah. I feel like where we had ended was like, we felt like we wanted to continue seeing where it went, but it wasn't like we were like, oh, my God, we're, were like, so amazing engaged, like, ready to be married, like, tomorrow. So I feel like we would have wanted that, which is actually why we, like, went to Miami. Like, we wanted to do our own off camera version of what would be the love that.

So tell me what was off camera, what, what was missed, what was said, like, get into Miami. I'm very intrigued about that.

[Brittany]

I feel like this is where we really drop the ball and disappoint people.

[Leo]

I know this is where everybody wants. I wish that we had some, like, amazing tea, that like, like some super spicy situation. But honestly, no, what I mean, how I felt was like, it became very, like, clear that there's a big difference between our proposal, which probably was a weak proposal as the producers picked up on, and then, like, actually getting married.

And I feel like we realized that we were just clearly better as friends. I mean, that's like, what that part. Part of the, like, experiment is about, like, we were like, hanging out together and it just was. I don't know, it became clear pretty quickly and then we kind of ended it, like, okay, I think we're gonna be in each other's lives, but we're not. We're not tying the knot.

Yeah, yeah. More of a boyfriend vibe.

[Leo]

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Exactly. But like, when you're in the pods and you're like getting like you, it gets so deep so fast. It's. I feel like it. Like there are couples that talk about, should we just take, like, a step back and not get married? It never works out because that's not what it's, like, designed to do.

It's supposed to be intense, and you're supposed to learn and grow with that person and have that shared experience. And I feel like there was a lot of people on my season as well. That's like, we're just gonna step back and just, like, date. And I was just kind of like, let's just go full throttle, either all or nothing. And I think that's what the experiment is about. And I love that you guys are kind of like, nothing. I love that.

I also love the intensity. I love. I love that.

No, first of all, when the show is coming out, like, you know, we weren't supposed to date during the, like, release or, like, as it got pre release. Then during the actual release of the show. And I looked like, like, I'm not going to go on a date when everyone hates me. Like, I don't want to do that. And so I'm just starting to get out there. And I've gone on a couple dates, but I think one of the most, like, different things about going through the pods is everyone talks like, oh, you don't see the person. That's obviously a big thing. But I think even more impactful is how intentional it is. Like, you have this endpoint. It's like, you got to get engaged in, like, 10 days. And that's where I feel like I've become way more upfront. And maybe it freaks some people out if, like. Because even if you don't want something serious and you're like, are you looking for something serious? Because I'm not or something, they're still like, why are you, like, chill.

And I'm like, no, you don't want.

I feel like I learned a lot of communication because I am very quiet.

And I'm just like, oh, la, la, la. Go about life, whatever.

And it forces you.

Yeah. It just forces you to. To talk more about things to the person you're with. For sure. They should come out with a game. Like a little. I don't know, like a little questionnaire for dating. Love is Blind game. I want 10% commission.

Like on a date. That's actually a great idea.

You know, I guess one secret that people don't really know is, like, how they give us those journals with the prompts in it. And so we have prompts daily, and they kind of like, they don't tell you what to say. They kind of guide us and they give us, like, questions per day. Right. Did you guys. I feel like. I feel like on day, like two of mine, it was like, talk about sex. And I was like, I don't quite remember your name, but do you want to talk about this or no. We would all be like, maybe, maybe not. Did you guys have any awkward problems?

[Brittany]

No, actually. Well, that. I was very uncomfortable that day.

Yeah.

[Brittany]

You're like, I don't know. It was just like, maybe a little too soon. Maybe that could have been, like day seven or something. And I kind of. I low key judged the guys that were immediately.

And he was the least. And I like that. He made me feel very, very comfortable in that situation. So. Yeah.

You said something about wanting to be a trophy wife.

I forgot I made that comment. And then I saw it and I said, oh, yeah, I Remember that.

By the way, I think we will both be a trophy wife no matter what. Ok. That's what I'll say. You know.

I know, I know. That's right. But like, looking back, how do you feel? And I mean, I like everyone kind of.

I don't know. There are a lot of opinions about it.

I feel like people just thought I just wanted a guy to give me everything and I didn't and I could just be a housewife and do nothing. And that's just. That will never be me. I have so many passions. I pick up trash like once a month.

Like, what is your definition of a trophy wife?

[Brittany]

Oh, you know, good question. Yeah, I feel like a trophy wife would be someone that is just, you know, always learning, always growing, always trying to be their best self. I kind of like more of a traditional marriage vibe is definitely what I kind of want still. But yeah, we'll never just sit back and do nothing.

What is your definition of a trophy wife?

[Leo]

Oh, geez. You know, I. First of all, that was like a comment that Bernie made. I feel like you also made that as like half a joke when you said it.

[Brittany]

Yeah, for sure.

And. And so it wasn't like Britney was telling me, like, I want to be a trophy wife. And I'm like, yes, that's what I'm looking for. Like, I never saw you as that at all. But I guess, you know, it's funny because I feel like it's something that has like a negative connotation to it. But I feel like it. It doesn't have to. Like if. If you're, I guess, the kind of person that just wants to be like, like a rich, controlling jerk who just wants the wife to not say anything.

I get that as a trophy, but I feel like I do like the thought of like, like loving my wife so much that she feels like a trophy. Like, wow. Like, look what I. Like, look what I got. Like, look at this. Like, maybe it's like bad to say prize, but I feel like. I feel like a guy should be like, so proud of his wife.

So were you or were you not dating before you went on Love is Blind? Like, were you not in a relationship? Because what was all this? You were cheating. Can you clear all this up, please?

I was never in a relationship while filming, and there will never be proof of that. So it's just not true.

That person? I wouldn't be careful, because I do really. I mean, it's kind of hard when they sell you out to TMZ to really have respect and love for that person anymore. But that is somebody who was in my life for four years, and we've been through a lot together, and. And, you know, like, I was there when it's. I. We just shared so much. It was someone that I met during COVID It was a coveted relationship, and then we kind of fell on and off without giving any personal details.

From issues that, you know, he brought along to the relationship, and I just really liked and respected him. And after the show aired and, you know, when you come back, I feel like we all came back kind of down, depressed, and we just went back to our ex for a comfort fling. And he treats me. You know, I feel like I didn't realize how much I presented as that guy until it was watched back. I mean, I don't think that I was.

[Brittany]

No, like, that was news to me.

[Leo]

We didn't talk about it. We had that one conversation that was shown.

The irony is I was, like, very, like, hesitant to talk about it because I know it sounds crazy, but I am, like, kind of touchy about it. But then it got shown in a way that I was, like, in a weird way trying to, like, reverse psychology brag about money. Like, I don't want to talk about money as a way to let you know I have a lot of money. Like, no, I wasn't trying to do that. Like, but I don't think, like, most of the guys. All the guys and. And girls are like, I didn't know he was an art dealer. I didn't know he had money. I didn't know he was wearing a Rolex.

But I will still say that even, you know, I guess it had to be taken from somewhere. So I did still watch it and, like, try and internalize it and be like, maybe sometimes when you try to not talk about something, it's like, don't think about this. Then you end up saying it more.

Yeah, but. Yeah, so even though in your, like, interviews, like, your one on ones, you talked about it a lot.

[Leo]

Well.

Or did they just keep asking you?

[Leo]

There's a lot of questions about it.

And. And also a lot of it that wasn't shown was like, it's in the context of, like, my family. And like, Like, I had a lot of family tragedy that led to it.

And I feel like it also got shown that was like, oh, like. Like this. If there was one thing that I felt a little bit like, I wish it wasn't shown in a certain way. It was like, it made it look like I was like, so my whole family died, but, like, I got some money, so that was cool. It's like, no, like, it did give that. No, because, like, what they don't show is like, all the times I was, like, bawling my eyes out about it and all this stuff. And so I, like, a lot of it was in the context of. Because, like, here's. Here's how it could very much be. So, like, what do you do? Oh, I'm an art dealer.

How'd you get into that? Well, it's a family business. Oh, so, like, do you. Do you work for your family? Well, no, they passed away. Oh. So how did that happen? Well, I inherited. Oh. How does the business do? Well, it pays the bills. So, like. Like, what kind of art? And then you can see how it very quickly turns into a money thing. And so. Yeah. So anyways, so around that, do you.

Feel like you were portrayed accurately, or do you feel like you got, like, a bad edit?

[Leo]

Even if you get what you feel is not an accurate edit, it's not like that someone was, like, out to get me.

[Ad]

Yeah.

[Leo]

I feel like anybody who makes the show, they have a job to make it entertaining. And I. I felt that I looked kind of zany, but I didn't. I didn't think I looked like this. Just absolutely reprehensible, like. Like, person. And I. I guess it's also easier for me to be okay with it because I felt like I ended up getting a little bit of a redemption arc towards the end.

So. Yeah. So maybe a little bit. But I feel like anybody who's portrayed not well, it's gonna feel like they had a bad edit. Maybe I just was that guy and just felt like that. So I don't know. I try and I try and, like, see the. See. See both sides of it.

I didn't know I was in one until I accidentally said his name, because I literally thought for sure we were each other's only person, because we didn't really talk about it.

Yeah.

And I just felt so strongly. I was like, certainly he does not have someone else. How dare you?

[Leo]

We were really to not talk about it and to not talk about other connections. Yeah.

And then after that, I, like, you know, came clean.

I guess I feel like by, like, day five or six, we all just were, like, spilling the. Like, the beans. We couldn't stop talking about who was our number one and blah, blah, blah. And I think. I think that got us in a lot of trouble.

Yeah.

[Ad]

Yeah, I think. I wish. Yeah, I wish we would have held our cards closer because we just could not stop talking. And I think it ruined a lot of relationships because I remember, like, if one of my friends was like, I'm dating such and such, I would go on a date immediately and be like, hey, we should break up.

[Brittany]

Yeah.

[Ad]

Like, to the point where my producer came into the lounge and was like, hey, Ad, can you please stop breaking up with people? And I was just like, well, they're dating my friend. And he's like, okay, but they're dating you too. Like, you're supposed to find your husband. And I was just like, oh, actually, you're right. I broke up with, like, three people in one day. I was like, hey, this is not gonna work. Like, I felt so bad. And he's like, stop. Like, weigh your options. Like, talk to people. Date people. And I was just like, you know what?

[Brittany]

You're right.

[Ad]

And then I stopped. But then I ended up, you know, anyway. Do you think that things would have worked out with Hannah had you picked her?

[Leo]

I don't think so.

I guess seeing, like, some of the footage back, I just don't think she would have been my person. Yeah, like, seeing, I guess, a little bit of how. How she interacted with Nick. But at the same time, I do think Hannah's a great person, and I'm actually friendly with Hannah. Like, we talk on the phone, too.

I think she's awesome.

Okay, hold on. Because. And not to, like, compare and contrast to Nick, but the reality is you guys are on different levels in your life. You guys, like, you're more, like, successful in your career. I'm sure he's, you know, better off in his now, but at the time, you probably would have been exactly what she was looking for, considering she wouldn't have had to train you or teach you or, you know, don't you think we probably would have seen, like, maybe a different side of her?

Like, I think the reason that I don't think her and I would have worked out is also. I know it is hard to believe Britney was my number one. And I know that, like, I freaked out when Hannah broke up with me. What that really was was less of like, a, oh, my God, you're my Number one. And then going to Brittany. But it was like. It was like me being a control freak and wanting, like. Like, I deserve to have these options. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm the one in the love triangle. And that was. That was, like, a big thing that, like, I had to check my ego. And that was, like, I think one of the biggest growth things that, like, I had from the show.

But anyways, I think that even just looking back, I just don't. I just don't think she would have. But I don't think it's, like, an. Like, it's, like, not a knock on her. I just don't think we would have. I think we're also really similar people. Like, we've talked about her, and I have the same, like, Myers Briggs personality type. I don't know if it's like. I'll tell you how it happened, though, because it's kind of a funny story. So after the show, I mean, I think we all get pretty bizarre DMs.

And so this is like a Jewish thing, by the way. Jewish. I get so many comments. Literally, just yesterday, Jewish mothers will be like, my daughter, be perfect for you. She's 28. She has a good job, she's cute. She lives in Chicago. But you could, like. So I get a DM from this woman who's like, my daughter will be perfect. And I do see a blue check. And so I click on the profile, and I realize that it's Jill Zarin. I don't follow the Real Housewives very much, but I realized quickly it was more like, okay, this is not like, a random, crazy person.

[Leo]

And so I kind of responded. She was like, I think my daughter will be great, but she sent a very nice message. She was like, whether you date or are just friends, I think you would all get along because we have a ton of things in common. So, okay, religion Ally and I, both. Reality TV stuff.

Yeah.

[Leo]

Both in the art world. She worked for, like, a really elite auction house for a while. And on a more sad note, we both lost a parent to, like, cancer kind of later in life. And so we. I was already going down to Miami for Art Basel, which is where they. They like, split time between Miami and New York. And they were down there and I met them like at the main art fair there. And it was like, the moment that we met, I felt like we knew each other for, like, years. It was like such like, truly just great friend vibes. And since then we've just been hanging out a lot and we did like, film some fun Tiktoks and then I guess Page Six or whoever had fun running with it. And so it kind of became a thing. But no, we are just really, really good friends.

Okay, so now I have to ask you because my. My brain is kind of spiraling. You keep meeting these people, beautiful women that you click with on all these levels and then you're friend zoning them. Well, I don't think I friend Leo, friend zoner. I friend zone. Because what is it that's missing? You know what I mean? Like, what is it that you feel like, she's beautiful, she's perfect, and as soon as I met her, she was just this amazing friend. What is. What is missing?

I guess I've just been having fun, like sharing my thoughts because I feel like I have. I feel like I have a unique perspective. Yeah, because I kind of like, I've seen both sides of like the from being kind of a villain to maybe being redeemed. So I feel like I try and I'm trying to come from a place of like defending them, not like saying that they're necessarily good people. I don't know them, but I feel like, for example, having been in a love triangle myself, that's really what I'm focusing on now. I don't. Because I can only really comment on the pods. So this one has to do actually with me and Hannah.

So after the. The whole. Everything went down.

Like, me freaking out at her in the pods, all that stuff. Like.

I think I might have seen her, like, once at, like, a random thing, but basically we didn't talk. I don't think we, like, hated each other, but we just didn't talk. It felt weird.

And when I learned that I was going to the reunion, I felt, like, very. I didn't know if I should, like, call her beforehand. Do I say before? Like, I was super conflicted. I was actually, like, really, really, like, Stressing about it. And I ended up calling Garrett. And I was like, should I, like, apologize to Hannah before? And I start, like, weeping. I'm like, crying uncontrollably. And he's like. I was like, I don't want her to think that, like, an apology at the reunion would be, like, performative. You know what I mean? And he's like, you sound genuine. You should. I think you should call her. So I call. I hang up and I call Hannah right afterwards. And I'm like, crying my eyes out. And I'm like, I'm so sorry. I never really said sorry. And I'm like, I just. It was so unbecoming of me and all this stuff. And she was like, first of all. She's like, first of all, I forgive you. Second of all, I've lived, like so much more of my life since then. It's like a tiny chapter. And then we ended up like, chatting for like an hour and a half, just about, like the show and life. And so I guess what maybe isn't as known is that the real apology to her was like a week before the reunion. Off camera.

And so that's why, like, in the reading, it was. I just. And I felt very, like, spiritually cleansed, that I wasn't, like, doing it as like, a performance.

So I guess that was.

Do you think you would have had that breakdown on the stage had you not called her?

[Leo]

Yeah, I actually do think I would have. And I think that I, like, I thought really hard about it because I. If I would have done that, it probably actually would have looked better for me. Like, oh, my. No, I think would be like, oh, my God, he's crying about it. He feels so bad. But I was like, she doesn't deserve, like. Because if someone was in that situation and I saw them crying, I'd be like, are you still, like, saving this for the camera? So I. I actually, like, used my, like, emotional card off camera.

So then I. Then I felt like she got the real deal thing and.

Didn't, like, have this performance.

Yeah. And it showed. It was very, like, heartfelt. And I think even me just as the viewer, just being like, okay, wow, this is very intentional. And it made me like, almost obviously I had my preconceived, you know, judgments of you, but it made me, like, wipe the whole slate. And I was like, actually this is a stand up guy. Like, okay.

But then I was just, like, chilling at the bars. I'm, like, just going to have a fudge injury.

[Brittany]

Yeah, he did. And I ended up dating him. I know.

For how long after?

Not that long. Just a few months. It was a terrible mistake, but I don't know. I would literally never do that. But I was like, well, you're here now.

Five minutes is too long for me. Yeah, five minutes. Like, if you're not, like, I'm parking. Yeah, five minutes is far too long.

It was super crazy of me.

I once went out with a girl that I really wanted to go out with, and we went to, like, a casual restaurant, and then somehow afterwards, she convinced me to take her to Target. And she didn't have a car at the time, and so I took her to Target and we went shopping. And I didn't pay for the stuff at Target. She really tried to, but I didn't. And she got very mad and didn't talk to me again.

Because she didn't. You didn't pay for her cart?

And I'm the gold digger.

But I was starting to get the sense. And then afterwards, she was like, why would you take me to Target? Like, you're not even gonna pay for my stuff at Target. And for a moment, I actually thought. I was like, am I being a jerk right now? And then I was like, no, no, Leo, come on. Snap back to reality. And so then that was. That was the. And I'm so ashamed to admit this. I asked her if she wanted to go out again, and I'm so. This is back in. Back in former days. Back in former days. Back in former days.

Now I see why you friend zone people. You're like, just in case you're gonna ask me to Target after this, you're already just a friend.

[Brittany]

Now we know how he got.

I feel like it's hardened me as a person. I trust no one. Like, I. Very cautious of who I will tell things to.

I feel like I was just living like a little fairy in the clouds. Like, oh, just to do. And now I'm like, oh, no. You need to protect your surroundings, who you tell things to. Like, just. I don't know.

Do you like this new version of you, or do you feel like you were kind of forced into the person that you are today?

[Brittany]

I was definitely forced into it, for sure. I don't know if I like the new version of me. I feel, like, too guarded, and I feel like that's actually kind of affecting relationships. I'm, like, even with some of my close friends that are still friends with, like, the guy from tmz, like, I just don't want to. I'm like, don't want to talk to anyone. It's really kind of instilled a little trauma in me.

Yeah, for sure. Yeah, I can feel that. What about you?

[Leo]

That's a really good one. I've. I would say two things. I've noticed that, like, I would have thought having. After having gone through this and maybe getting recognized and stuff and getting invited to places I wouldn't normally get invited to, I'd want to be like, let me meet everybody. But I've actually also become more, like, selective on, like, I feel like I almost have two versions of myself. I have, like, smiley, like, version. Like, can I take a selfie? Sure. And then I have, like, the. The me that I let very few people see. I mean, it's like, versions of.

Yeah.

[Leo]

Another person. And then I think the other thing is I've become, like, a lot more religious in the past, Like, I don't know, six months or so, really, since the show. And I feel, like, teach their own. But for me, like, when I was going through the worst of it, like, feeling that there was, like, a higher power looking over me and that all this was going to happen for a reason, I think helped me not carry a lot of anger, and then also, I think helped me indirectly get the very, very fortunate, like, redemption arc that. That I got. So I would say, like, faith or just. Just believing that it's all gonna be okay in the end.

That's beautiful. And I love. I keep saying this, but I love that you guys have each other. I think that's such a big, big thing. That one I needed, and I do.
