What's the Reality?
A
What's the reality?
C
What's up, you guys? Welcome to another episode of what's the Reality? It's Ya Girl AD And I have a very exciting guest with me. Per usual, it's someone that I'm so, so excited to chat with, y'. All. I have Alison here from Perfect Match, this season of Perfect Match. And from Building the Band.
A
Yes. Hey, thank you for having me. I'm so excited.
C
Okay, so spoiler alert. We will be talking about episodes one through seven, so. So if you haven't watched it, you already know, pause, go watch, gather your thoughts and come back and join the conversation. And later, I'll be talking with Nick. He's also from Perfect Match Season 4 and Million Dollar Secret. So stick around for that. Like, how do we zoom in on this gorgeous specimen of a human? You look so good. I love you.
A
Thank you.
C
Like, you literally look like you just washed up off the beach.
A
Oh, I literally did. Perfect Match. I love it.
C
I love it. You look so good.
A
Thank you. So do you. You look fucking amazing. And sn. I'm like, can you believe this bitch just had a baby? I can only pray.
C
Thank you. Thank you.
A
Of course.
C
How are you?
A
I'm Good. I'm really excited about everything. Yeah. The show finally coming out. I mean, honestly, they were so fast with Perfect Match coming out compared to building the band. Because building the band, I had to wait over a year.
C
Yeah.
A
So it feels like it's been a long time still, though. It was, like, six months waiting.
C
It took us, like, almost a year. Really, Almost a year for ours to come out.
A
Cause you guys filmed in, like, September,
C
and I had a whole baby.
A
I know.
C
In my belly and a fiance. Yeah. Life moved fast.
A
It's crazy. It's so exciting.
C
Yeah. So how are you since everything is wrapped, what have you been up to?
A
I mean, we got back from filming, and then it was just Thanksgiving. Came back for a few weeks, and then it was Christmas and then New Year's, and then I moved, and then now we're here.
C
Oh, my God. Life. Unfortunately, we didn't get to learn too much about you on the show. Can you tell us a bit more about yourself? Like, who is Alison outside of reality tv?
A
I'm a singer first and foremost, so I care the most about music. But reality TV is just so fun. So I thought it'd be cool to do another one.
C
Yeah.
A
But I'm the oldest of five. I'm from Maryland in, like, a super fucking small town. So I had to get out of there. I love to go back and visit, but it's very, very small. Yeah, but I'm super close to my family.
C
Didn't they make a joke, like, about, like, burlesque? It's like, the more you talk, the more I'm like, there is some Christina Aguilera in here. And, like, getting out of the small town. And, like.
A
No, literally. And her name's Allison. In burlesque, is it? Yeah.
C
That's so funny.
A
And she spells it the same way. Everyone has two Ls, but she spells it with one L in that movie. So I thought that was. I mean, I just love burlesque.
C
I love that movie.
A
And I'm such a, like, theater dork because I did it my whole life. And then Jimmy said that, and I was like, oh, yeah. I was like, that's my favorite.
C
I love that because I'm getting that energy.
A
Like, thank you.
C
I love it.
A
I want them to, like, make it again, and I can just dream of playing.
C
You make it? Yeah. Like, you make it.
A
You make. Oh, my God. Maybe I need to.
C
That'd be so fun, right? Yeah, that'd be so fun. Okay, so tell me about music. Tell me how we got into music.
A
I've been singing since I was, like, two. One of the first videos my mom has of me is me singing to my little sister when she was crying the day she was born to try to make her feel better. It was. It's a really sweet video. My dad was like, wow, you have a lot of songs, Allison. Like, it's amazing. They all have the same tune.
C
Yeah.
A
And I just was, like, singing to Twinkle, twinkle, little star, but singing every other words. I was singing about the mall a lot of things. But I think the first thing I ever said I wanted to be when I grew up was a famous singer. So I've always really wanted the same thing. And I grew up dancing competitively and doing acting and obviously everything with music that I could. And then eventually went to college for music. Dropped out.
C
Right.
A
Did American Idol, and then I did building the band, and then now I'm just trying to figure it out.
C
American Idol. That's cool. Cool.
A
Yeah, it was. It was cool.
C
How did you get on, like, building the band? What was your experience there?
A
So the same casting producer that reached out to me for American Idol, his name's Josh, reached out to me and was like, hey, I'm not supposed to tell you this is a Netflix show, but there's a new Netflix music competition that I think you'd be really good for. Do you want to do it? And I was like, well, I mean, what's it about? Like, I don't know. And then I think I was, like, one of the first people they casted for it. I had a lot of fun filming, but I was not super compatible with the people I ended up in a group with. There was just a lot of, like, lies being spread. Honestly, somehow I found a situationship on a music show, so that was fun. Obviously, dating show comes next, but I did make a lot of really good friends there, and I think building the band was the first time that I, like, really felt like I deserved where I was because, I don't know, like, people compliment you and you're like, cool. Thanks. But everyone has insecurities, of course. So I think that was really nice because it was the first time that I felt, like, genuinely really confident in what I was doing.
C
Oh, I love that. Do you think you're more of a solo girl or a good girl?
A
I would say a solo girl for sure. And I think a lot of the viewers would agree.
C
I would agree. Yeah.
A
Yeah. I definitely didn't look the best on that show.
C
Oh, gosh.
A
I had some things to learn. Oh, my God. Don't judge me.
C
I won't. I would never. I would never. Okay, so now you go from building the band to Perfect Match.
A
Yeah.
C
How the hell did we get here?
A
So I called Josh, the one that introduced me to everyone on the team for building the band, and I was like, I want to do another show. I want to do Perfect Match. And I have had so many friends do Perfect Match.
C
Okay.
A
And, um, well, I was friends with Louis. Oh. And I remember him telling me about that show.
C
Oh, God.
A
And he definitely wasn't supposed to tell me, but he did.
C
Yeah.
A
He doesn't follow the rules. No. When has he ever? I'm friends with Chase d', Amore, and then my friend Stevin was on the show. Chris Hahn was on the show. He's one of my best friends. And then a few others, and they all had said it was just so fun. So I was like, why not? And then Kayla was on Too Hot to Handle, and she found a three and a half year relationship. So I was like, my friends are always fucking yelling at me that I never date and talk to boys. Maybe it's time I push myself out of my comfort zone. And I was like, so, Josh, like, how do I get on the show? And he was like, well, you can't, because your show's not out yet. And I was like, that's not true.
C
Right. I know.
A
Jess went on there before Love is Blind came out.
C
Like, half the people that go on the show's not out yet.
A
And I was like, I'm gonna keep asking people until someone tells me yes, you know? So I just kept asking around, and then eventually I got a yes.
C
I love that for you. My grandson put me up. Perfect Match. Okay.
A
I mean, closed mouths do not get fed.
C
They don't. Are you happy that you asked?
A
Yeah, I'm really happy I asked.
C
Yeah. Interesting. Well, tell Josh.
A
I know. I'm like, josh, if you're listening, I still made it.
C
I made it. Josh, how's it been seeing fans reaction to the show to Perfect Match?
A
It's been exciting. I've been getting a lot of love and positivity. Definitely very different reactions from the last time I was on tv. So it's felt good. I mean, I think people are getting the opportunity to know me for who I actually am and getting to know me, like, interacting with my best friend is such a true representation of me. And people are just like, oh, you and Kayla, like, finally, like, I love this.
C
So Kayla is truly your best friend outside of the villa?
A
Yeah. We're like family.
C
How did you not know she was gonna be there or did you?
A
Oh, I knew I was gonna say. I told Damari when he was going in there. I was like, you know who my best friend is? You see a hot brunette in there with big brown eyes and big boobs, you better get her in this fucking house. He was like, alison, not you producing
C
the show on your own?
A
No, literally, I was like, get her in here.
C
Wait.
A
So I was like, did the producers
C
know that you guys knew each other? Yeah. And everybody was fine with it. Yeah.
A
I was taking interviews from her apartment. She has, like, a closet room. They were like, where are you right now? And I was like, I'm watching my best friend's dog. And they were like, kayla? And I was like, yes, my best friend is named Kayla. And they were like, listen, we're not naive. We know the two of you talk.
C
Yeah.
A
Keep it between the two of you, please. And I was like, okay. Thank you.
C
Wait, so how did they decide who would be like, an OG start in the house and who would be, like, kind of.
A
I don't know how they decided that. Honestly, I felt really, really bad about it because, like, we obviously were praying that we would be OGs together in the house and just, like, have each other to support each other and not have to meet all new people all at once alone. And I was at her house when they called me and told me that I was gonna be one of the first ones. And I was like, screaming and jumping up and down. And then they didn't call her that day. And I was like, it's okay. Like, they would be so fucking dumb to not put us both in there together. And then she called one of the producers and asked for an update, and he was like, yeah, I don't know, but probably like, I'll get back to you. So she got really excited. And then they said, like, nevermind, you're not gonna be one of the first ten in the house. So she was really upset, but, like, happy for me. So I just felt bad. Like, that's so uncomfortable.
C
Yeah.
A
And she obviously doesn't want to bring down my excitement, but I also don't want to make her feel like shit.
C
Right. How do y' all feel about it now?
A
We feel good. I mean, we were there eventually together. Really fucking sucked. Watching her get voted out, that was so terrible. I yelled at everyone for like an hour about that, obviously.
C
What did you vote for that day?
A
I voted for Ally and Jimmy.
C
Yeah.
A
Because I think Jimmy was playing too many games. He kept saying, I'm playing the game. I'm playing the game. What game are you playing, Jimmy? You are playing with people's feelings.
C
And how many days in were y' all about around that time?
A
Maybe, like, four. I don't know. Honestly, I took a vlog on day three, and I know Kayla wasn't there in the morning yet.
C
Okay.
A
So I don't really remember which day we were on.
C
Yeah. But it wasn't too far in.
A
No, not at all. We did, like, one challenge, and then I was like, get some singles in here. I'm not happy.
C
I'm bored. Yeah. What was the first day of filming like, when you walked into the house? What was all that like? Was it surreal?
A
It was so surreal. It was beautiful. And, I mean, the house is just insane. They have, like, the open outdoor living room and everything in the kitchen. I was like, can I, like, actually live here, please?
C
It looked like no one used the pool. Were you guys ever in the pool?
A
We were in the pool all day, every day. And they kept yelling at us because they would have to take off our mic bags, obviously, and, like, don't talk.
C
If you're gonna talk, don't talk.
A
Yeah, they're like, hard ice. Shut the fuck up. But no, we were in the pool all the time. I don't know why they didn't show that. Ali and I came up with a water aerobics routine and performed for everybody. I'm like, where was that? We had a whole dance.
C
We were, find that clip. Find that clip.
A
I'm like, can we roll the footage back? I want to see it.
C
That's actually so funny.
A
Yeah, we playing in the pool. Jimmy and I bought pool toys for everybody on our date.
C
Oh, yeah. I saw he had, like, that basketball and football, and the boys are so excited. What were your overall first impressions of the men on the first day?
A
Honestly, I feel like I sort of blacked out when I walked in. I was so nervous.
C
Yeah.
A
I, like, wasn't nervous at all when I'm in the van on the way to the house, and then I saw Ally outside, and I very much have watched Vanderpump Rules. I think I had met her before at Coachella also.
C
Yeah.
A
And I was like, what's your name? Hi, I'm Alison. And she's like, I'm Allie. I'm like, cool. We have the same name. Love that. And I just, like, completely didn't recognize that I knew her already.
C
Yeah.
A
And then we walked in the house, and I'm just like, hi, guys. Can I have a Drink, please.
C
Immediately. Did you have to wait a long time before you got in the house?
A
I was one of the final ones to go in. So we were waiting for a minute in the van and then they covered up all the windows. So I'm just sitting in this dark. That's car. I'm like, oh, my God.
C
Because they don't want anybody. You. They didn't want you see anybody.
A
Yeah.
C
Whenever we were like waiting to go in, they didn't cover our window. So they'd be like, don't look. Duck. Duck. And we'd all be like, yeah.
A
You're like, I guess. No, literally you're like, I'm not jacket.
C
Obviously I wanted to see. I didn't see anything, but it was just so weird. Like every three seconds it was like, can you duck? Can you please duck? I'm like, oh, my God. No. Shut up. That first night, you ended up matching with Yemin.
A
Yeah.
C
Even though you wanted to match with Damari?
A
I definitely did.
C
How did you know it wasn't going to be a romantic connection with him?
A
Honestly, I think Yemin's attractive. I thought he was a really good kisser. We definitely, like, made out a lot that first night.
C
Yeah.
A
But other than that, like, I didn't. I don't mean to sound mean when I say this, but, like, I just didn't really think there was much substance to build off there with him. And he was so dismissive of literally everything that I would say and do. Like, I had really bad anxiety this one day. They were rushing me like crazy. It was like the first day that we had to do anything. I think most girls probably wouldn't love that. Like, you want to look good and feel confident. You're one of your first appearances on a show. You got a million cameras in your face. Like, I'm not rolling out of there with no makeup on.
C
No.
A
I don't know what I want to wear. Not day one. And he like made fun of me for having anxiety and was really rude and dismissive. He told me I talk too much and that I'm annoying. He like made fun of me when I was giving him the criteria of what I want in a man. So, like, behind closed doors, I just thought he was very honestly self centered. And he seemed like he was there to just like get his bag and get some more clout and like do his big one. And then he's so performative in front of the camera, just presenting himself like he's this phenomenal guy. I think genuinely he was putting on an act the entire time. I don't think he gave a fuck about anybody
C
shit.
A
I do not like him at all. I'm sorry. Like, I'm not trying to be mean. Like, I really was sorry.
C
This is not where I thought this was gonna go. But now that we're here, here, I
A
was trying so hard. Like, I really, like, was interested at first. I know. Like, it looks like I was just like, damari, Damari, Damari, Damari. Damari was definitely my number one choice, but, like, that didn't work out. Now he's one of my friends. Love that. But Yemen just, like, really gave me nothing. He clearly matched with me because he didn't want to get kicked out of the house. Right.
C
I mean, he gave nothing for the whole show, but. Interesting. Yeah.
A
Then he went on Love island before our show came out and hasn't acknowledged that Perfect match is coming out. Seems like we're here for clout, babe.
C
Oh, pop off.
A
Oh, I don't like that kind of energy.
C
Said it, not me.
A
And I'll say it again.
C
Turn her mic up. Turn her mic up.
A
I'm like, I'm sorry. I, like, really, like, don't like talking shit about people. But, like, his decisions just so actively disrespectful. All of the cast, all of production, everyone that's casting, like, putting so much effort into the show and he just, like, really only thinks about himself. Like, I don't fuck with that.
C
Wow. How do, like, your other cast mates feel about it? If you're trying to be more intentional about what you wear day to day, quints can help with that. A
Liberty, Liberty. Liberty. Liberty. I can't speak for everybody, but I know a lot of people that I've talked to have similar feelings. Just hurtful like.
C
Yeah.
A
Huh. We have like two rules to follow. Don't go on another dating show before this one comes out. And don't post about your current relationship status until after the show has aired because people want to like be able to learn what's going to happen.
C
Yeah.
A
You had so many things that you couldn't tell everyone, I'm sure. And you follow the rules.
C
Oh no, girl, I like, I got just so crazy. I got outed and it's like if we don't say that I'm pregnant, someone is gonna say like ruin it. So we just, we had no choice. But I mean your guys love story
A
was just so pretty beautiful to watch.
C
Yeah, I loved it. Damn. Yaeman.
A
I know. Sorry that I just went on the longest tangent ever about it.
C
No, sorry. It actually just kind of like lifted the veil a bit because there's so much that like we don't get to see about him or learn about him. And so it's like the fact that you had that, you know, experience with him is very telling.
A
Huh. It was interesting.
C
Yeah. But not interesting. Good interesting. Weird.
A
Yeah, like strange. Strange as fuck.
C
Oh my God.
A
I can't.
C
Okay, girl. So Jimmy S. Comes into the villa, takes you on a date. Do you feel an instant spark with him?
A
Definitely. The date was so fun and honestly I had been. So when we drive by, we kept passing the place that we ultimately went on the date to and I was like, oh, that's really cute. Like farmer's market. I would love to go there. Maybe when we have an off day maybe we could go. You know how like little kids Are super passive aggressive. And they're like, I really like.
C
To a farmer's market.
A
Yeah. They're like, I really like chocolate ice cream. It's a shame I don't have any. So then that's where we went on the date. And I was like, oh, you guys, listen. How thoughtful. Yeah, but it was so cute. Like, we went there. I was definitely very overdressed for a farmer's market, But I didn't know we were going when we were on the way. They never tell you shit.
C
Yeah.
A
But we just, like, walked around. We got a bunch of fruit. We got Mackenzie birthday presents because she was turning 25 that day. And then we got food, and the food was really good. And margaritas. We did a mezcal tasting when we were there, so that was fun. I love mezcal.
C
Yeah.
A
And I don't know, it was just, like, really nice to have just, like, chill, normal time and not, like, some big, massive produce thing. Because some of the other dates, like, looked really cute, I think, to watch. And I'm sure they were very fun to be a part of, too, But I just, like that it was, like, normal. Like, this is what we would do in real life.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah. Just hanging out, and we can, like, talk and do whatever. And I didn't really feel any pressure. And I don't know. He's really funny. Also, like, before he picked me for the date, to give context, they showed, like, none of our conversation. When we were in the cabana, Kayla was sharing a room with him and Dave. The night before, all the singles were in a room, and they had this, like, wall in between them that didn't go up to the ceiling so she could hear, and she just sat silently in there and listened. And then she snuck into my room in the morning when I was doing my makeup and reported back. And she was like, allison, I know Jimmy told you that he saved the best for last. And, like, you thought he was going to pick you, but he's picking MacKenzie for this date. And I was like, oh, no, I'm going to go do my big one. And I, like, I put on my bikini, and I think I was wearing Kayla's brand bikini that day, actually. And then I went out there, and I was like, do you want to talk? We talked for, like, two hours. And he was like. He was like, oh, wow. Like, you just changed everything.
C
Yeah.
A
I show us talking for, like, two minutes. And I was like, good. And then when we were sitting down, like, when Nick Lachey got there, he said the nicest Things about me. Like, so many nice things about my character and my heart and, like, my values. They show him. Just say, like, I connected with this girl. I want to pick Allison. But, like, I, like, got tears in my eyes. It was so nice. Like, never heard someone talking that way. I had no idea who he was.
C
That's so funny. I remember when they released the cast, and I keep saying this, and I was like. And I'm, like, looking. I'm like, influencer.
A
I know.
C
And I was like, I can't lie. I wanted to hate him. I went through his social media, and I was like, this guy is gonna irritate the out of me.
A
He's gonna social media off.
C
Like, I'm like, why is he talking like that? What the hell is going on?
A
I know.
C
Is this guy. And then he falls for you, And I'm like, wait a minute. He says he seems really sweet. So respectful, very genuine. Like, very kind. Like, is that. Would you say, a true representation?
A
I mean, yeah, he was just, like, all about me, like, the second he got there. I know it looks like he's, like, while flirting with other people, and it looked like I was really considering other people, too. And I most certainly was not. Like, I love Nick, but I sat him down, and I was like, yeah, like, I think you're really cool, but, like, I need to be, like, really connected to someone. And then looks like I'm saying, like, I don't know. But I was like, I don't know about this. I know about that. So speaking of you, by Nick, did
C
you know that he was a secret millionaire?
A
He told me when he was drunk and he doesn't remember. And I was like, I'm not going to tell anybody, but, like, you're good. And then, like. And then I'll get back to, like, answering you about Jimmy. But then, like, he's here celebrating with his cast a few weeks ago when Million Dollar Secret came out, and he told me again when he was drunk, and I was like, I know. You told me. He goes, no, I didn't. And I was like, yes, you did. And he goes, shh. Don't tell anybody. And I was like, I'm not gonna tell anybody.
C
Did that with his finger.
A
Yes. I was like, bruh, put the cut water down.
E
Put it down.
A
And then we watched the finale together. Like, him and some of his cast and me. And then he was like, are you proud of me? And I was like, bro, I already knew. It's like, we've talked about this five times.
C
So wait. Knowing that he was a secret millionaire. He still wasn't enough for you to be like, I can try.
A
No, I don't really, like. No. I love Nick as a person. Like, he's, like, one of my favorite people from the show, but, like, I don't really give a about, like, the money you have. I care about being stable. Of course, Like, I find stability attractive, but.
C
Did he secretly tell anybody else?
A
Not that I know. I think I was the only one that got a secret. I didn't tell anybody, so no one talked about it with me. Funny, but no, I don't really, like, don't tell anyone. I was like, cool, dude.
C
Did you know what the show was?
A
No, but I don't know.
C
Yeah.
A
No. Him winning a million dollars definitely, like, didn't make me not fall for Jimmy. You know what I mean? I, like, felt like I knew Jimmy already when I met him, so really nobody was gonna change my mind.
C
Interesting. You kind of touched on it a little bit. But when Nick Lachey came in the house and asked you all to vote out the least genuine people, why do you think your girl Kayla got voted out?
A
I mean, I definitely think that all of the OG girls wanted to protect each other, and no one's gonna tell me that because that's my best friend in the whole world. But they singled her out for sure, and we talked about it after a little bit. They definitely singled her out because she was the new one, and she's super hot and she's super confident, and she's potentially threatening other people's connections. And, like, I get it. Some people have strategy and things. I personally answered the question for what it was, and then I did a scratch vote for the girl because I thought they were all genuine. I knew no one was going to vote for Ali, so I voted for Ali. And I don't think that Jimmy P. Was super genuine. I think he looks really good on the show so far, but I think he plays a lot of games.
C
Yeah.
A
So, like, I just had a problem with the way that he was disrespectful to Ali, so I voted for him. But I think they all voted for Kayla just because she was new and super beautiful. I mean, she's strikingly beautiful, and she has an insane body and a phenomenal personality. And she's, like, funny and fucking weird, but, like, then also super hot and confident. So, I mean, that was just awful.
C
Yeah.
A
And then I ripped everybody to shreds for, like, an hour after that because, obviously, like, yes, I'm gonna stand up for my best Friend. Like, we see Ali says that to me on the show. Valid take. But I was like, no, guys. Like, the only reason I had faith in coming on a dating show is because she found a three and a half year long relationship. Like, you found a marriage and you have a baby. Like, it does work, but, like, I don't know, like, not a huge dater. I think it's pretty intimidating. So I just felt so hurt for her. Like, she really got the short end of the stick with that, and I wanted to let everyone know exactly what I thought. I was like, yeah, I'm her best friend. I'm obviously gonna have her back more and have bias. But, like, I also know her heart better than anybody. So, like, how dare you say she's not genuine? I'm personally offended.
C
Yeah, that must have been hard to sit and watch. Cause, I mean, I was watching it, like, damn. I know how it feels to be, like, snatched out of the house. And, like, you feel like you have something going and then, boom, it's taken from you. So that was pretty tough to watch. But at least, like, Chris got sent home with her.
A
I know.
C
I mean, that was, yeah, nice that she didn't have to sit and think, like, what is he doing?
A
I know. I mean, I would have told her everything. Yeah, he would have been watched like a hawk. Yeah. But I just felt so bad. Like, she's sitting there sobbing, and she, like, doesn't cry. Oh, she cries with me. But, like, we have a really different relationship from her and a lot of other people. Yeah, same with, like, me to her. Her to me. But her crying in front of people is, like, really unheard of. Unless she's super drunk. And she was not that. So I was like, oof. I felt so bad. That's so vulnerable. And then production wouldn't let me go to her, and she's just sitting there by herself, sobbing, and I'm like, okay, actually, fuck this. I'm not listening to you anymore. I can sit next to her silently. We're not gonna talk when the camera's not on. Let me hold her hand. Like, how do you expect me to watch somebody I love have a complete breakdown and be distraught? And then I'm just like, bye, girl.
C
Yeah, peace out.
A
Yeah, like, that's not okay. She was like, can I just have my vape?
C
Yeah.
A
I was like, somebody get her her fucking vape, please.
C
How was it watching that? You guys watch it together?
A
Yeah, we watched it together.
C
How was it watching it?
A
I mean, I just was like, it brings you right Back. I was like, oh, my girl.
C
Yeah.
A
I hate watching her cry. That's so sad.
C
I know.
A
I was. I just, like, went like this when we were watching the show. I was like, come here. It's okay.
C
You guys live together?
A
No, no, but we have a sleepover, like, every day. I used to sort of live with her.
C
Yeah.
A
But not anymore. Now we both live alone.
C
Okay.
A
Watching it back, though, like, I'm sure she. I mean, I know she was feeling the same way that I was feeling. Like, back in that moment. She was so excited to come on the show and so hopeful. Cause obviously she's found a relationship before, and she really connected with Chris really fast. And I know other people didn't think he was genuine, but it was very genuine, even though it was fast. I mean, when you're in that little bubble, like, things just move so quickly. But watching it definitely brought her back and, like, so sad for her to watch herself with this opportunity at her fingertips and then go home the first day. She was really upset watching the show, and I'm sure, I mean, like, she has more to say about that than I can say for her, but she was really upset.
C
I'm sure she kind of felt a little bit happy to see her girl have her back, though.
A
Oh, yeah.
C
Defending her and, like, her character and stuff, so. That was really sweet of you.
A
Oh, of course.
C
Yeah.
A
I hated, though, that they switched around my words, this one part, and, like, made it look like I said something nasty about her. And she looked at me and, like, crossed her arms, and she's like, wait, what part? They said something, like, when they were talking about the voting, and I said, like, obviously, Kayla. Because I was saying, obviously, Kayla's my best friend. And she was like, did you say something about me? And I was like, girl, you know I did not say anything about you. I was like. I was yelling at them for, like, an hour. You were there. I was like, we're both drunk right now. You're talking out of your ass. Stop it.
C
Yeah.
A
And she was like, okay, I guess I trust you. Oh, like Kayla.
C
Yeah.
A
Be so fucking real. I would never talk about you. Right.
C
Let's get back to the show.
A
Yes.
C
The next batch of singles came into the house, and Catherine decided to take Jimmy S. On a date.
A
Yes.
C
Do you remember how you felt in that moment?
A
I was so upset. Like, not like. Not like angry upset. Like, you got to play the game. And, like, he didn't really get to. Up until that point. Obviously, I made out with 100 people, so, like, I Got to have my fun.
C
Yeah.
A
And then make my decision. And I was there longer than him, so, like, I had more opportunity to do that. So I wanted him to go on the date because, like, we love a little test, but it's very. Gives me anxiety. It's really uncomfortable. And I knew Catherine before the show, too, because we're in, like, the same larger friend group here in la. And I think she's beautiful, and I think she's funny, and I think she's really fun to hang out with. He pinky promised me that he would come back to me and that I feel like home to him and said that multiple times. That, like, we have something really special. And I wanted to believe him really badly. But, like, you can pinky promise me whatever the fuck you want, and then your head can still be turned. Like, that doesn't really mean anything at the end of the day. And I know he did have a lot of fun with her on the date, but, like, I was freaking the fuck out when he left. I thought I was gonna be fine. And then I told everyone I was going to my room to take my vitamins, and I was like, I. I had these, like, chewable ashwagandha things, and I ate, like, eight of them. I think you're supposed to have two. I was like, I'm having a panic attack. I was like, fuck, this day is going to be terrible. The bar open already. And then I went into my bathroom, and I was just, like, staring at myself in the mirror. And I was like, I'm going to put on more makeup or something. Like, do something with my hands.
C
Distract yourself. Yeah.
A
I was like, this is the whole part of the show. Like, he needs to go do this. She deserves a fair chance. Like, chill the fuck out, Allison. And then I looked in my makeup bag, and he left his glasses in my makeup bag to, like, I don't know, because he had to get his stuff out of the room, obviously, but he left his glasses in there. And I didn't know if that was, like, an accident or if it was intentional, but I chose to tell myself it was intentional.
C
And then he left you a little sign, like, I'm coming back to you.
A
I'm like, I had no idea in that moment whether it was intentional or not, but I chose to tell myself that it was so I wouldn't have such bad anxiety the entire day.
C
Yeah.
A
And then I felt fine. And, like, Ally and I just, like, stuck together the whole day. And we're like, we're gonna be okay. We're gonna be okay.
C
Yeah.
A
But it was terrible when they came back from that date, I was like.
C
And then he matched with you. Do you kind of agree with Katherine when he. When she says that he was, like, leading her on? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
I had a talk with him about the way that he communicates with people. He's really, really nice. Sometimes a little too nice. He's a very flirty personality, and I hope he was flirting with her on the date, because that's what you should be doing on a date. But, I mean, to be honest, like, obviously, I trust him, and I believe the words that come out of his mouth, but, like, a woman's perspective, I'm always gonna trust, because why would she lie? She was really upset. She's not gonna lie to me about that. And she. They don't show it, but, like, she sat me down and had, like, a long conversation with me. Just, like, I think you should know, like, the way he was acting on this date. And I was like, thank you for telling me. Like, I do still really care about him. So, like, I'm really sorry that you felt like he led you on. That's not fair to you. But, like, I am still gonna pursue this connection and, like, choose to work through that because, like, he should have been present with you on the date. And I'm glad he was. I feel bad that you're hurt, though, you know?
C
Yeah.
A
Like, girl to girl. But I told him when we were talking by the pool, and he told me. He was like, okay, I need to go talk to Kat. Like, we can't match until I talk to her. And I was like, absolutely. Go do your thing. But I was like, dude, like, the way you talk, like, you made her feel some type of way. You owe her an apology. And he was like, I know. And I was like, you don't need to be, like, doing all that. Like, you can still, like, have fun and be straightforward. Like, you can flirt with her, do your thing, but, like, don't be telling her you're, like, really considering her if you know in your heart you're not. That's just not fair.
C
That's not nice. Yeah.
A
And that's what she was saying was happened. And, like, I don't know why she would make that up. So then he apologized, and we had a really good conversation about it before bed, too. And he was, like, really appreciative that I hold him accountable. He was like, just sometimes, I don't know. And I was like, just something to work on. You're not an Evil person. Like, everybody fucks up, but you need to be considerate about the way that your words are going to impact people and your actions. You can't just be like, la. And I think he's gotten a lot better.
C
Yeah, about that. Yeah, I love that. Okay, let's move on to the mixers. You and Jimmy were both very respectful of your connections. Like, you guys were literally, like, sitting on your hands, like, not doing.
A
I mean, no one excited me there. I don't.
C
What were the boundaries that you guys set for each other?
A
We just said we weren't going to kiss anybody. Honestly, like, if he were to kiss anybody, I wouldn't really give a. If he kissed Kayla because, like, that'd be like, brother and sister kissing. Like, that's not gonna mean anything. And. Yeah, disgusting. But, like, I wouldn't care. Yeah. About that. But, I mean, he. I don't remember which one of us brought it up. Honestly, I think we were just talking about expectations for the day and, like, what we were thinking, like, what we're comfortable with. And he was like, I don't want anyone kissing you. And I was like, cool. I don't want anyone kissing you, so we're not gonna do that. But I was like, if you change your mind, change your mind, I will have it reported back to me, so do what you're gonna do. Kayla will be there with you.
C
Yeah. Yeah.
A
And she did tell me everything that happened, but I just thought it was so funny. Like, we were both getting yelled at for being boring. I was like, God, you guys, Like, I'm trying to be respectful. Like, I don't think they showed Marissa yelling at me, but she was, like, going in on me when we were playing spin the bottle. And I was like, dude, I have heard enough of it.
C
Oh, my God.
A
I was like, I love you. And, like, her and I are great friends, so nothing bad to say about the girl. But I was like, I have heard enough.
C
I don't want to kiss anyone.
A
I'm trying to be respectful of the boundaries that we set and we agreed on. Like, you guys are acting like I'm no fun, and everyone loves to say that. I, like, wasn't really, like, taking part in the experience. And I'm like, y' all saw me make out with those, like, 10 people and go back and forth and do whatever else. Like, I did try. I'm sorry. Like, I connected with somebody also. Marissa, you're not really one to talk. You were locked in Damari before you even started speaking to each other. So I'M like, wait, I don't want to hear it.
C
If you guys didn't make that, like, boundaries pact, do you think you might have made out with somebody or played the games or.
A
I mean, like, I didn't. It wouldn't have meant anything if I did. Maybe spin the bottle. I'll make out with any of the girls that are there. But, like, I don't know. No one was really exciting to me. Like, I looked for, like, Soph's lip gloss for, like, 30 minutes, and I was just, like, taking shots and talking to Chris. Like, I don't.
C
You were like, to yourself, like, literally at one point in a ball, just like. I was just like, yeah, please don't talk to me.
A
Yeah, not even that. Like, I don't know. I just, like, took a bunch of shots and I ate some sushi. And then I was just. I kept just, like, talking to individual people, but I was just, like, not really trying to be, like, all over people.
C
Yeah. So then, okay, I guess I would have played the game boundary thing. And then kissing challenge is next. So did that all go out the window? Were you guys like, well, let's just play the game. Like, how.
A
You don't have a choice. Well, you do, I guess.
C
Yeah. You can be like, yeah, no, Like, I think Louie just, like, kind of pecked everybody on. Right.
A
I forgot about.
C
And I think what. What's her name? Xanthi. Like, did the don't, like, kiss me thing. Like, you do have a choice about that.
A
Okay. Well, we thought it was a competition to win a date, and we wanted to go on another date.
C
Yeah.
A
He looked at me and he said, you better do your fucking big one. I want to go on a date with you. And I was like, oh, I will, baby.
C
Oh, my God.
A
But some people were really bad at kissing.
C
Yeah.
A
Who? And had really bad breath. I don't know who they were. I had a blindfold on.
C
Do you have an idea of who
A
it could have been? Um, I mean, I know Chris was kissing everybody's arms during the kissing challenge, and I was like, bruh, what are you doing? I'm sure he's not actually a bad kisser.
C
Yeah, but. But if you start on somebody's elbows, it gets a little weird.
A
I was like, chris, why are you doing that? Yeah, but I didn't like the kissing challenge.
C
Yeah, no.
A
I felt really overstimulated standing up on that tall box with headphones on and a blindfold. I was like, I know.
C
It is a lot. It's a lot. It is A lot.
A
I didn't like it.
C
So the finale will be coming out next week.
A
Yeah.
C
Any hints you want to drop for the audience to guess how it's all going to end?
A
I mean, I definitely think it ends in a surprising way. Yeah, I think that's a hint. There are a lot of surprises and obviously a lot of drama.
C
Yeah.
A
Some things really just come out of fucking left field. And I'm like, what are you talking.
C
Why are you saying that? Like, what's. What is actually happening?
A
I'm like, do. You're a big one. I guess. I don't know. I was really surprised by a lot of things that were saying, and I was so uncomfortable the whole time. I was just, like, sitting there. Like, then I got roped into things and I literally was like, fuck did I do?
C
Like, why are you including me? Not my drama.
A
Yeah, yeah, no, I was, like, not involved in it at all.
C
Okay.
A
But I would say the story of the Pinky Promise definitely will make a resurgence. So annoying.
C
Allison, it's been so nice chatting with you about these first few episodes.
A
So fun talking to you. I'm literally obsessed with you, girl.
C
Tell me more about me. I'm kidding.
A
You're perfect.
C
I'm kidding, I'm kidding. No, I'm really, really excited that you stopped by. Like, I just love watching you on tv. Like, you are such a gem. I love watching you kind of form your little connection with Jimmy. Like, so cute. Like Yalls biggest cheerleader, Just so you know.
A
Thank you. I appreciate that so much. Of course. I love watching you back, too.
C
Not only do I have a current Perfect Match member, but I also have someone from one of my favorite shows, Million Dollar Secret, here. The winner. Nick. Hello, Dee Dee.
E
What's going on? How are you?
A
Hi.
C
You know, you don't understand. I'm fangirling because I'm such a big fan of Million Dollar Secret. I think it's such a good show. So I'm so happy to have you here with us today.
E
Yeah, it's a fun watch. I'm glad you like it.
B
And.
E
No, I appreciate you having me on today.
C
Yeah. So you're. You're home in Miami?
E
I'm in Miami, yep.
C
Yeah, the views look crazy. I'm like. I can see it. It looks so good out there.
E
Yeah, that's. It's a cool. It's a cool studio you have. Just. I was in LA a couple weeks ago, so. Yeah, I'm sad we missed each other
C
in person, but catch me up. How are you? I mean, first of all, congrats on winning the show and the million dollars. How do you feel?
E
Thanks. Yeah, I mean, it's been a whirlwind of the last two weeks. Obviously, I was sitting on that news. You know, we filmed, like, 10 months prior, so it's just been. It's been a weird 10 months, like, sitting on that without any friends or most of my family even knowing the result of the show. But no, it's. It's been awesome. I mean, there's been so many cool people, you know, in my life that I've reached out and just random influx of people online that I'm extremely grateful for. But it's also just been a little bit overwhelming. But all is good.
C
No, I can't imagine, like, two shows coming out back to back.
E
Yeah, I mean, I literally filmed. I don't know how much I can talk about filming them, but I filmed them a week apart from each other.
C
Shut up. Oh, my God. Wait, did you know what Perfect Match was before you filmed it?
E
Do I know where it was?
C
Did you know what it was like? Had you watched the show?
E
Oh, yeah, I hadn't watched it too much, but I watched your season. You, like, once I learned about it, I watched yours, and you absolutely crushed it. Thank you. And, yeah, I watched, like, 2 and 3 to familiarize myself with it, but it was all just such a quick. It was just craziness. I mean, I came back, barely had time, like, decompress what happened in Canada. And then Netflix had called me like, three days later and was like, I know this is crazy, but we're filming the show, and I don't know how much I could say about the casting or whatever. I talked to some of the producers before, but it was a pretty quick process. And then was on a flight to Mexico in, like a week.
C
Oh, my God.
E
I know.
C
Wait, so, okay, I have. I have so many questions. Wait, so it's been 10 months since you won Million Dollar Secret? Did you get the money yet?
B
And, Doug, there's nowhere I wouldn't go to help someone customize and save on car insurance with Liberty Mutual. Even if it means sitting front row at a comedy show.
C
Hey, everyone. Check out this guy and his bird. What is this your first date?
B
Oh, no. We help people customize and save on car insurance with Liberty Mutual together. We're married. Me to a human, him to a bird.
C
Yeah, the bird looks out of your league.
B
Anyways, get a quote@libertymutual.com or with your local agent.
A
Liberty, Liberty. Liberty. Liberty.

E
No, haven't got the money. So, I mean, all the comments are like, he's already blowing all the money on like, boats and like the view and stuff. I. I mean, I'm, you know, that's. That stuff. Isn't that crazy expensive? I. I haven't even seen a penny of it yet. But it's all part of the contract, I guess. It comes in like 90, 120 days. And I don't know how much we can talk on it, but no, I've not gotten paid.
C
Do you have any plans on what you'll do with the money?
E
Yeah, I mean, I don't. You know, I have like an exact plan of allocation of where I'm putting each thing. But like, I mean, a big part of why I went there in the first place was. I mean, I've been blessed with like, a very good childhood and like good upbringing and I'm grateful for it. But, you know, my parents, I feel like everything that my parents have done in the last, like 25 years have been for me. And I'm 27 now. Not that, you know, that's old or anything, but it has felt like I've been kind of behind on just paying it back to them a little bit. And so they're a huge reason with why I went there. My parents, they just bought a house, so they're a little bit in debt with that. I want to help them out with that. And my dad wants to retire at some point in a few years, so I want to make sure all those are possibilities. And then I do want to just invest a lot of it back into myself and like, building an audience and a brand and like helping people around the world and just try to kind of run with this TV personality and media life that this has created for me.
C
Yeah, you're definitely built for tv. Clearly filming another show three days after filming one show. So clearly you're built for this life. But on the show, you and your castmate Yumiko seem to be feeling each other a little bit. Did anything end up happening with you two after the show wrapped. I've been seeing you guys, like, FaceTiming and flirting on Instagram, and I'm nosy. I'm in the business because I'm just, like, obsessed with you guys. I've been seeing it. What is the tea?
E
Yeah. I mean, we didn't know how this show is going to be edited. Everything you saw on there is real with Miko. She's a badass queen. She's smart, she's pretty, she's funny. And I'm super grateful she was in the house with me. Not just because of how certain things played out, but I just like spending time with her. And it just made my stay be. Be comfortable there. Yeah. I mean, dude, we didn't know we were competing for a million dollars. We didn't know the whole world was going to ship our. Our little showmance after. After it aired. So I think it's all kind of new for us, and I think we. I just don't want to, like, comment too much on it. Just I don't think she or I expected, like, our personal relationship to be so much in the limelight, but, like, it's fun. That it is. And we love all you guys, everyone supporting. Supporting it.
C
I feel like there's something. Don't make me DM her because I will get to the bottom of it.
E
Yeah, well, you got to have her too.
C
Yeah, I would love to. She's so beautiful. She's so smart. She played such a good game. Like, again, I'm so obsessed with the show. Like, me and my husband, we were glued to watching you guys, but obviously, Perfect Match is a very different experience than Million Dollar Secret. Were you nervous going into it? Like, how did you feel that you needed to prepare for that?
E
Yeah, I mean, I. I didn't have. I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing, not having time to, like, think about it and harp on it. So I was just in show mode at that point. So I was just kind of winging it and giving it my best. Yeah, both are super fun experiences. I will say after, in Canada, they. Or for, I don't know, on Million Dollar Secret, they treat you amazing. Production's amazing cast care. The stag is beautiful.
C
Yeah.
E
But you're just on edge the whole time, right? There's a pit just because of all the line and things. You gotta remember what's gonna happen next and just the looming fact that, like, you can win or lose dollars kind of makes you always a little Bit nervous. So going from that to Mexico, then it was just like beach villa girls in bikinis or. It was. It was refreshing. It's definitely. You'll definitely see a different side of me than the Million Dollar Secret.
C
Did you know anyone in the villa when you got there? Did you know anybody prior?
E
I didn't really. I mean, I'd seen again. I mean, I was new to this whole reality TV life, so I'd only just filmed a week ago. Yeah, I had not any air, so it's like, I wasn't the most well versed in, like, who was on each show yet, but, I mean, I'd seen a couple people around through social media, but never had met anybody before.
C
Yeah. Okay, so you get into the house, you match with Natalie on the first night. What was your connection? Like?
E
Natalie's great. I think she's super bubbly and fun and just easy to be around. And she's gorgeous.
C
So was there, like a spark? Was there a connection, or did you guys just kind of, like, link up just because.
E
No, there's just. I mean, I'm not like, huge on, like, I know obviously, like, you're on reality TV shows and, like, you want to win the game too. So, like, sometimes you play into things a little bit, but, like, I mean, obviously things move fast in a house like that. You, like, move in with somebody that night for being knowing the girl for two hours. Like, yeah, I like Natalie.
A
Yeah.
C
So you came from a competition show, and then you come to a show that's like, half dating, half competition. What brain? Like, what part of your brain was switched on? Was it more like, I'm going in here to find, like, my perfect match or I'm going in here to play the game? Like, surely you can't just turn off competition brain, right?
E
Yeah. No, you definitely want to stay in the house, obviously. So I think that prevents certain people from, like, taking risks on, like, somebody else or, like, trying to strengthen their bond by, like, seeing if they feel something for somebody else. I mean, after just. I know it sounds. I don't know how it'll come off after going on a show where I lie the whole time. My grandfather also, about not having the money, but I'm not the hugest fan of, like, playing with people's emotional, romantic feelings, but I know that's how the show goes or whatever. So I was trying to just have a good time, meet cool people, see if I find the perfect match. But, like, I wasn't going to push it. Push playing the game too hard.
C
I Love that. So were you upset, actually, when Natalie matched with Yemen, or were you just kind of set on matching with Allison?
E
Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't say I've sat. I would say we both kind of made it clear that it feels like more of, like, a friendship vibe with each other, which. Nat is still like, one of my best friends. She lives in Miami now.
C
Yeah.
E
And a bunch of people from the show. I actually live with Jimmy Presnell, like, next door, potential.
C
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. I feel like the stars. Like, there's a few things that are starting to lineup right here. So you live in Miami with Jimmy. Natalie just moved to Miami. Is there something. Am I missing a piece?
E
I met Jimmy on the show. I don't know how much we'll interact, like, on what's aired, but me and Jimmy hit it off on the show for my short time in the crib there.
A
Yeah.
E
And then moving to Miami, he told me, you know, in Mexico, that he was doing, like, a three month lease in Miami.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah.
E
And then we started hanging out down here right after we wrapped filming. And when his. Yeah, when his lease ended, I was like, dude, we should just find a spot together down here.
C
Yeah. Do you guys see Natalie a lot?
E
What'd you say?
C
Do you guys see Natalie a lot?
E
Yeah, we've seen that a lot. Yeah, she, like, just moved down here. She just drove 36 hours from Arizona.
C
Oh, committed. Interesting. That's some tea. Okay, well,
E
hey, she's got k. One of her best friends down here.
C
Okay.
E
And I think she's staying with her for right now.
C
Yeah.
E
And then we were lit. We were even talking about finding, like, a. Just like, Jersey shore type house and all living together somewhere.
C
Oh, you guys didn't get enough in Mexico? We're gonna, like, revamp it in Miami. Huh?
E
Well, we're just gonna continue the show here.
C
I love that. I would love a. What's up? What's what? Where? What are you guys up to now? Wait, so you didn't find a match in the villa and you ended up leaving? Were you disappointed that your time was cut short?
E
Yeah, I mean, I feel like I was just being an idiot a little bit. And I was like, I don't know. It was just such short time in between filming one show and the other, and that's, you know, no excuse. Whatever. I got out dogged. I got kicked out of the house. We'll go back to drawing board. Yeah, but I. Yeah, I don't know. I just wasn't. I think as focused as I could have been just because of all the craziness that just unfolded a week prior.
C
Yeah.
E
But still met a lot of really cool people. I'm close with a lot of the cast still, and it was a fun experience. I'm grateful for it all.
C
Yeah. When you left the villa, was there any, like, couples that you were kind of rooting for or would hope would make it to the end?
E
I thought Jimmy and Ali were a funny couple, for sure.
C
Yeah.
E
I think they were just entertaining, and I think that they at least were being real and not, like, trying to just stick it out for tv. So we'll say them. I actually do like Jimmy Sotos a lot, and I build on the show, and I think that. I think they, like, were one of the realer couples in the house probably too.
C
Yeah.
E
I don't know if you've seen episodes past the first batch or not or if you've seen it all.
C
Yeah. I'm pretty well versed in what's going on. Yeah.
E
Yeah, yeah. I think those were two couples I was rooting for.
A
Yeah.
C
I love that. I love Jimmy S. And Alison together. Like, one of my favorite couples. For sure.
E
Yeah, I do, too.
C
When you came back to the mixer, like, the singles mixer thing, was there anyone you were hoping that you would connect with?
E
Well, I was going to test the waters with Allison to see how things have been going with her and Jimmy, but it seems like they were crushing it together.
C
Yeah.
E
So, like, good. Good for her and, you know, good. Good for him. I'm happy for them past that. I mean, at that point, I was like, maybe I can just squeak my way back into the house because I miss hanging out with everybody.
C
Yeah.
E
So if there is a way for me to do that, I was gonna try.
C
Yeah.
E
But I wasn't necessarily, like. I don't know. I feel like everyone kind of, like, coupled up, and, like, I was boys with. With all the boys. I know it's a show where you do compete with other people in the house, like, to. To win girls over. But I don't know when you're not. When you're out of the dynamic for, like, a week and everyone seems to
C
be squatted, A lot can happen.
E
Idols trying to, like, mess it all up.
C
Yeah. Yeah. A lot can happen in a week. And, like, you either come back into the villa being like, I'm gonna, you know, wreak havoc, or you're like, I'm not gonna step on any toes. And I feel like there was a few people that were like, I'm coming in to be messy. I don't care. I'm causing destruction. And you were kind of like, you know, whatever happens, happens.
E
Like everybody, like a lot like, and it's havoc. And don't get me wrong, but like, everyone seemed to just be kind of like posted with where they're at. Yeah, I don't know. I'm glad for just like meeting a bunch of cool people.
C
Yeah. Yeah. Are there any, like, behind the scenes secrets that the audience didn't get to see?
E
I feel like a lot has transpired with this group of Perfect Match people that I don't really know. I don't know if you've had other members of the cast on the show yet, but I don't know if it's my spot to be spilling tea. But it's, it's a funny cast.
C
I'll just say it's gonna come out one way or another. So we'll see.
E
Yeah, I don't know. People have made their rounds for sure, but I'll, I'll let them run with that.
C
Wait, have you circled back to anyone?
E
See, I also, I wasn't sure if this was gonna be a million dollar secret or a perfect match. I'm not the biggest, like, spill. I don't kiss and tell type type thing. So we'll see. We'll see if they run with that. I don't know.
C
Okay. All I'm hearing is that you are a gentleman, so I appreciate that.
E
I guess so. I do want this.
C
I was like watching the show and I'm just like, surely he's going to drop the bomb that he just won a million dollars. So how hard was it for you to like, have to hold that in that you couldn't tell anyone that you are literally a millionaire and that you just won it a week ago?
E
Only I lied way more for the 10 months after filming the show than I lied during the filming process. Because, I mean, there's so many people and for some, I mean, I said the same thing every time. I was like, yeah, I did. Well, like, I'll be a main character in a show, so it's all good. It'll be fun. But, like, didn't end up winning and do people, I mean, people would just not believe me sometimes. And people were pressing me about winning the money, even though I don't. Again, I haven't seen the show, but in the Villa Perfect Match, people were pressing me, being like, you definitely. Why do I feel like you definitely won? Yeah, I was like, what you're talking
C
about I don't know, I feel like I would have been like on the side, like, I want a million dollars.
E
I had to forget him. Like, I truly had to convince myself I didn't. Because also it's like a year before I even see that money. So, like, I gotta just forget about it, put my head back down, keep making, keep building a business. Otherwise I'm gonna just be like sitting on my phone waiting for this wire to hit.
C
Well, I love that. And I hope that over these past 10 months you've been able to make like some genuine connections of people that you don't, you know, that are around you for the right reasons. Because winning a million dollars and then being on back to back TV shows can like, really attract some like, weirdos. So I really hope that you've cultivated a great group of people. I see you're hanging out with Jimmy and like some of the people from the show. So just, you know, be around the good people that you know, like Nick, for Nick. That's my little piece of advice.
E
No, that's great advice and I appreciate you.
C
Yeah.
E
And you're right.
C
You got this.
E
Thank you so much. And yeah, no, I'm going. I got a lot of good people in my life, but 100%.
C
What is your biggest takeaway from your experience on Perfect Match?
E
Biggest takeaway? I mean, in some ways maybe that I could maybe just mature emotionally a little bit with. With women and like, try to build a more. I mean, I was being genuine and not trying to fake anything on the show, but like, maybe be a little less playful and like more intentional with what I want to do. Like what I want out of the relationship if I want to actually find someone long term. And then two just met a bunch of cool people and everybody's mad fun. And I would definitely go on again just for the experience in of itself.
C
No, I love that. So you did two shows back to back. Is there a third show that we need to be looking out for?
E
Not a third show yet, but I'd love to get my foot in the door with some. I'm doing Mr. Like a beauty pageant called Mystery USA. It's like the girl version of Miss America.
C
What?
E
Yeah. So that's pretty funny.
C
When is that?
E
That's in July.
C
Oh, my God. Good luck. That's exciting. Thank you.
E
Thank you. I appreciate you.
C
Oh, my God.
E
It's new. It'll be new experience for sure.
C
Yeah.
E
Yeah. So I'm like representing New Jersey. Mr. New Jersey and the. Shut up.
C
That's so good. Yeah, like I said you were made for this, so it makes sense that you were on shows back to back and now you're about to be Mr. America. Like, this is just. This is so t. I'm so happy for you.
E
I appreciate you. Big team, big time, ladies. It means a lot.
C
Okay, before you go, I know you are a gentleman and we don't kiss and tell, but I need to know. The people deserve to know. What is your relationship status? Are we single? Are we dating?
E
Relationship status is figuring it out.
C
Figuring it out. Okay, I'll take that.
E
Sorry I don't have more tea for you.
C
No, that's okay. Is someone going to DM me and say, oh, he's figuring it out?
E
Probably.
C
Okay, well, you know, we'll let time reveal all, but I'm really, really grateful that you took some time out to hang out with me on what's the Reality. I know you are a busy man. You probably have to get to the gym and start preparing for your Mr. America debut. So I'm gonna let you go. But thank you so, so much for hanging out with me today.
E
