B
He has a girlfriend now, and she's. They're pregnant.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. How shocking. How shocking.
A
Chris.
B
Oh, God. Oh, God.
A
Yes. He, like, really leaned into that challenge. He was, like, kissing hands.
B
That was bizarre.
A
Literally, he was like, I need my girl to feel like.
B
Yeah.
A
And then they did this whole montage of him, like, kissing the hands and kissing the neck. Like, I probably would have punched him in the face. Were you a victim of the hand kissing?
B
I was a victim of some touching.
A
So you and Jimmy from my season of Love is Blind. You guys had a connection on the show. What did your relationship with him look like after the show wrapped?
B
What's the Reality? What's the reality?
A
Hello, you guys. Welcome to another episode of what's the Reality? It's your girl, Ad And I have a very special guest with me today. You may recognize her from Vanderpump Rules. And now Perfect Match season four. Y', all. Please help me welcome Ali Luber.
B
Hello.
A
I wish I had, like, applause.
B
I know. I heard it. I'm so excited to meet you.
A
Oh, my God.
B
And we're matching.
A
We are matching. Okay, so we're gonna be talking about all of the episodes of the season. So if you haven't seen it, stop what you're doing, pause this whole episode, go watch it catch up, and then come back and chat with us. So welcome to what's the Reality?
B
Thank you.
A
How are you feeling now that everything is out?
B
I'm definitely feeling relieved. You know, it's like, okay, it's all out there now. And now I can finally, like, talk about everything with you. So I'm feeling good.
A
Yeah. Have you been, like, a little Anxious, for sure. Yeah.
B
I think a lot of people ask, like, oh, is it weird filming, like, and having the cameras in your face? And I don't know if you agree, but I don't think that that's the weird part. Like, we really do forget they're there. Right. But it's the after part when you're like, what did I say? What did I do? How's it gonna come together?
A
You know what reality TV reminds me of? It's like when you meet somebody and you have a conversation and then you trauma dump on them and then you leave and you're like, I said too much, I said too much. And now you're. But with reality tv, you have to wait, like, nine months and all you're thinking about is, I said too much, I did too much. I said too much, I did too much. It's awful.
B
And usually you just chop it up on one person, but then it's like the world gets to watch it. So, yeah, that's the hardest part. So, yeah, now that it's at least there, I'm like, okay, what have you
A
been up to since filming Rap?
B
Okay, so a lot. I moved from LA to Charleston, South Carolina. So I've been there.
A
Sure.
B
I know.
A
First of all, I've never heard someone move from la. Really?
B
Yeah.
A
Everyone's like, I moved to la. I'm moving to la. Are you from here? Right.
B
So I'm from Ohio, went to college in Nashville and then moved to LA like, eight and a half years ago. So I was in LA for a long time. And honestly, I love la. Do you love la?
A
I do.
B
Right? Like, I'm. Yeah. And I'll never shit on it. Like, I'm such an LA girl. Like, I love it, but I just. A lot of, like, little things happened and I was like, I just need, like, a little reset. I have friends and family in Charleston. It's still. It's such a little cute, like, coastal town. So I just needed a little reset. And I don't know if I'll be there forever. I just moved, so I'm like, I'll give it a year.
A
Are you in the water?
B
Yeah. Everything's so close to, like, the ocean's like, 10 minutes away. I know.
A
You know, I lived in Charlotte for, like, eight years, so I've been to Charleston a few times.
B
Oh, my gosh. Okay. Yep. I haven't been to Charlotte yet, but I know that it's like three hours. It's close, but everyone goes there all the time from Charleston.
A
Wait, that's Exciting. So are you coming to LA often or are you just kind of.
B
I come to LA still a lot. I have a lot of friends here, and there's always, like, little work things or events that I still want to, like, go to, but I. I couldn't imagine, like, not. I have to, like, come get that fixed. You know, there's always something like, it was like Coachella and then. So. Yeah, we'll see. But right now, I am liking Charleston, but it is different.
A
I love that. So you're in Charleston. That means you're closer to Jimmy, ain't ya?
B
So I remember when in Miami. Now he's in Miami. I know, right?
A
So annoying.
B
I know. Wait, when we first met, I can't remember if that was in it or not, but he said Charlotte. Like, he was from Charlotte. And I was like, oh, I'm thinking of moving to Charleston in January. And he was like, I'm moving to Charleston.
A
Really?
B
And I was like, cute. Also, how many times do I say cute? Like, I need to stop.
A
No, it's cute. It goes with you. It's cute.
B
No, I'm never saying it again.
A
I'm crying.
B
That's the end.
A
Okay. If you say it, I'm gonna clock it.
B
I know. We'll need, like, a cute counter. Yeah. Yeah.
A
Okay. So you and Jimmy from my season of love is bl. You guys had a connection on the show. What did your relationship with him look like after the show wrapped?
B
I. Okay. So when the show wrapped, we were continuing to see each other. He visited me in LA twice. He, like, met all my friends.
A
Oh, wow.
B
Yeah. And then I even went to Miami once to see him.
A
Ooh.
B
So we did try for a little bit. And honestly, like, the same thing as, like, the show. We were just like. I think we both knew deep down, like, our values were just different. And we were very different people, but we still liked each other's company and hanging out. But I don't. I think we both knew, like, long term it wasn't going to be.
A
Your values are different. What does that mean?
B
We just have, like, different beliefs and we're very different, but I think we both. Honestly, like, he just moved to Miami.
A
Yeah.
B
He has a glow up. Like, I know he needs to go enjoy that. Like, so I do think that was. He wasn't ready to settle down. And I think we both weren't ready to, like, really say bye to each other, but we both kind of knew that it, like.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
Was what it was.
B
Yeah.
A
So you're no stranger to Reality tv. I mean, with your experience on Vanderpump Rules, how is filming that different than filming Perfect Match?
B
It was so different in the fact that, well, one, this was filming, like, all the time and, like, there's cameras in the bedrooms and like, you know, and so you really forget the cameras are there because it's just they're always there. And doing Vanderpump, like, it was more structured and planned. And also, I was not like a main full time cast member, so it was like, I'm just here to, like, really support my boyfriend, who is. And so it was much more chill. And it was like our everyday life. And even, you know, when you're in a relationship versus single, like, they're. You're a different person. It's a different era, different time. And so even just. But, like, for filming purposes, like, this was definitely more vulnerable for me. And I mean, dating in general is, like, scary. But then to do that, like, on tv, on tv. So scary. Yeah.
A
Had you watched Perfect Match prior?
B
I watched your guys this season, and I think I watched a few episodes of the first season. I went back when I knew I was doing it. But I watched your guys this season because I'm friends with Rachel.
A
Yeah, I love Rachel.
B
And I was, like, excited to see her on it. Yeah.
A
Aw, that's so cute. Yeah. What other shows do you watch?
B
Not a lot of reality tv. Can you watch reality? Do you still. Well, okay, never mind. That was dumb. I'm like, do you watch reality tv?
A
I watch more, like, shows, but I love scripted. Like, I love scripted shows.
B
I'm more scripted. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
But I will watch. I mean, I get into the reality, but I love a scripted.
B
Yes.
A
Yeah.
B
Yes. And I never could really watch the dating show as much because, like, I'd always just feel, like, uncomfortable for them. So that's ironic.
A
But wait, so how did you get on it? How did you get. How did we get here?
B
How did we get here? Yeah, they reached out. My manager was like, hey, there could be an opportunity. And it took like. I remember when they first told me about it being like a potential, like, do the auditions and stuff for it. I wasn't ready to date because I was only a few months, like, out of my relationship, which was a pretty serious relationship. And I was like, no, that sounds so scary. Not ready, and I can't do that. But then when I realized it wouldn't film until October, I was like, okay, you know what? There's time for me to heal. I didn't date in between So I really just was just like working on myself and. Yeah. And I thought it would be a good opportunity. You know, when you're like, if you're scared of something, that's the door, like, you should go through it. And I knew it would. I would learn a lot about myself and have fun, you know, Mexico for a month. And what if. What if I did find my person? Like, that was definitely a big factor too. And I honestly didn't even know if I could like form a crush at that point. Cause I just wasn't like, I wasn't dating. And I've never really not like dated anyway, like dating apps or like going on first dates. Like, I'm not super. I've always been in like serious long term relationships. So it had been a minute. But I.
A
Now you're thrown into this thing.
B
Yeah.
A
Where there's a bunch of hot guys in Mexico. Like, what the hell?
B
Literally. Literally, what the hell? And I'm proud of myself, like, because I. Yeah, I was so nervous. I mean, even that first. We all were. But like that first day, like the first like walk in, like, oh, my God. And we all drank that first night because our nerves were all so heightened.
A
And it's like, you know me. That's how I ended up upside down, kissing and a bath.
B
Yes, I remember that also. Like, that was amazing. That was very impressive. That's so cute though, like, looking back and it is cool you have that, you know, it is very special. That's sweet.
A
So let's take it back. When we first met you on Vanderpump Rules, you were in a relationship with James Kennedy.
B
Yes.
A
Do you two still keep in contact at all?
B
No. No, we do not. I mean, we're like, no ill will or anything like that, but. No. And he has a girlfriend now and she's. They're pregnant. Yeah. Yeah. How shocking. How shocking.
A
I just. Oh.
B
I didn't know he had a girlfriend. So I think just like getting the news, I was like, what? Wow.
A
Yeah.
B
But also not shocking at the same time because he always wanted to be a dad and was always moves quickly. So it wasn't shocking, but still shocking. But I'm happy for them.
A
Yeah.
B
Wish them well. Yeah. Yeah.
A
You're so cute. Thank you. What's one thing you learned from your relationship with James that you'll now apply to dating or that you brought into Perfect Match when you're looking for a partner?
B
Okay. That's really good. And I. It's such an easy one. I learned a lot from James. A lot Like, I really. I don't think I would even, well, you know, have astrology. Like, he really gave me a lot of confidence in myself, as in, he was just such a hype boyfriend, you know, of, like, what are you doing? Like, of course you love astrology. Like, that's what you need to be doing. So he really believed in me, but also, he did treat me like a princess. He taught me a lot about how to be treated and how not to be treated, if that makes sense. So I. You know, like, the good parts. He set the standards high for what, you know, without the bad. But, like, if you could obviously take away the bad and just have the good. I mean, the good was so good. So, yeah, the expectations are high. I was really just open, you know, and I wasn't expecting a lot, you know, because, well, you really can't. You can't. Yeah, you can't. So I wasn't necessarily looking for anything, but was excited to just see if someone could, like, make me feel, like, butterflies again or happier. You know, like the feeling of a crush. I was really intrigued to see if I could feel that again. That's, like, the best feeling, too.
A
Yeah, I know. Until it's girly and, like.
B
Yeah. And just, like, wanting to talk to them and, like, see them. And that doesn't come around often. At least for me. I don't know, I. It used to, but. Yeah. Now I'm more like. It just doesn't come. I don't know if that's age or just what I've been through with men, but it's like, you know. Wait, so finding a crush, I guess just like. Well, you know, like high school or college. Like, you always. It's fun to always have a crush, right? Like, if you're single. Yeah, but I haven't really. Besides this, I haven't dated or really put myself out there to have a crush, if that makes sense. And I work from home, you know, so it's like, I don't go to work and, like, have a work crush. You're like. And I just hear we gotta get you back outside. I need to go outside, I think. Outside. No.
A
Just kidding. What are we talking about here? We need our crush. We need a crush.
B
Now that I've moved, though, it is like. Yeah, it is. And Charleston is different than la, because in la, I would only be out with my friends and at, like, the gay. Big gay bars, you know, and. But Charleston, like, the men will come up to you and ask you on dates, you know, but the Southern gentleman The Southern. Yeah. But that only goes so far.
A
Yeah, yeah. For like a week. Run away. Oh, my God. Are you still close with anybody from Vanderpump?
B
From Vanderpump, yes. I'm close with Sheena. I'm seeing her tonight. Definitely closest with Sheena. I mean, I'm good with everyone. I saw Rihanna at Coachella, but yeah, Sheena. And then Courtney is her sister. More like really close. So, yeah, they like family, but I think that's it.
A
Yeah.
B
In terms of, like, who I talk to the most. Yeah. Yeah.
A
Okay, so before we get into the drama, I know you're an astrology girl, which is so cool. What can you tell me about the planets? Like, what is happening? What's coming up? So.
B
So the biggest astrology for right now is that Jupiter, which is the planet of opportunities and expansion and abundance, is moving into Leo on June 30th. So that's just the biggest astrology that's upcoming, which is really exciting for anyone with LEO placements because my husband's a Leo. Perfect. Yeah. So he's going to go through a year. So Jupiter will be in LEO for an entire year, 12 months. And it expands his. It will expand his identity because the sun, our main zodiac sign, our sun sign is our identity. It's how we shine. So new opportunities or even just like becoming more aligned with, like, belief systems or. Yeah, but. And you might have Leo in your chart. So that's. If anyone has a lot of Leo in their chart, like, that part of your chart will get a boost or an upgrade. And that's exciting. And also, even just in terms of entertainment, like, Leo is the sign of entertainment, so that could maybe be good for him. Yes. Yeah.
A
He's very entertaining.
B
They're the showstoppers. Yeah. And then Jupiter going on his sun sign will elevate his identity in some way or bring new opportunities and money.
A
Now we're talking. That's where you need to start.
B
Sorry. Jupiter's the planet of wealth. Yes. So anyone that has Jupiter or Leo placements is getting rich.
A
Yay. Honey. Mom is getting a new car.
B
Yes.
A
That's where you start.
B
That is where I start.
A
So when someone starts about their astrology, let them know they're going to be raised the money.
B
No, literally.
A
So true.
B
And that's always that. And obviously love. But those are always the big questions.
A
Oh, amazing. Okay.
B
Yeah.
A
Now Mommy can chill.
B
The guys are going to come for me, though, that aren't. Give it time because it will be there for a year. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But okay. I'll notice it. Yeah.
A
Amazing. Okay, let's go back to the show. Was there anyone in the villa that you already knew?
B
Like, previously, I didn't know anyone in the villa. Jimmy was very open about, like, his experience on Love is Blind. And then when he did mention, like, Chelsea in the. The Megan Fox comment, that rang a bell because I have social media, and I remember that being, like, a thing on social media. But when I finally saw, like, a picture of him. Cause I didn't know what he looked like before, but you know how you, like, get your phone for like five minutes a day? And he showed me, and I'm like, wow.
A
Wow.
B
Like, go, Jimmy. That's amazing.
A
Wait, I have a question. If that Jimmy would have walked into the villa. Aww. Would you have been as drawn to him as you were?
B
I honestly think so. Because. I don't know. I don't know. I just. I think that, you know, like, in that experience, though. I'm sorry.
A
I know, like, that really put me on the spot.
B
I'm trying.
A
Trying to say, like, a nice way to be, like, absolutely fucking not, actually.
B
I'll just go back to the hotel. Thank you. My time here has been so fun. Down the dirt road, I go, no, I. Girl, they get hot people on that show.
A
Okay. They need to be like, no, initially, like, not attracted to that. Like, here he did have a glow up.
B
But I will say this about Jimmy, and anyone who knows him, I think can agree he's very charming. And so that's what I was gonna say is I think him first. I think I would have met him and still really actually liked him the exact same. I do.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
Do you think the glow up changed him or you think he still.
B
I didn't know him before. I guess so I don't know. But he's enjoying the glow up. I know that. And as he should.
A
As he should, you know.
B
Yeah.
A
Good for him.
B
Good for him.
A
You guys had a strong connection. What I know you said he's sweet and he's charming, but what initially drew you to him?
B
Just how I think easy. Even though we're so different. And even, like, you know, you can see on the show that, like, he gets. I can be a lot or a little much. And he's not afraid to say that. But I think it is just how different that kept it also really intriguing and fun to talk to him, you know, like in the house. It's like, you really are with these people all the time. But we never really ran out of anything. I mean, he talks a lot. We never really ran out of anything to say, and it was just interesting to me.
A
Yeah.
B
And I felt like I could be myself, even if he was at times a little like. But I. Yeah, I felt, like, safe and comfortable with him.
A
I feel like you. I think he mentioned, like, that you kind of challenged him in a way that he's never really been challenged before. And I just feel like you also balanced him out because he is so chill and so, like, soft spoken. And then here you come with this bubbly, like, eccentric energy, and he's just like, whoa. Like, I don't know. You guys were like yin and yang the whole time.
B
That makes sense.
A
Like, really cute.
B
You're right. And he would push me to be. I don't know if I don't think it showed it that much, but he would push me to be more, to, like, communicate and to, you know.
A
Yeah.
B
I don't know if it showed that as much, but, yeah, he. He balanced me, I guess, too.
A
Yeah, girl. So before Sophie came into the villa, Dave was very interested in. In you.
B
Yes.
A
Do you wish she got to explore that connection more?
B
I do think, like, I love Dave as a friend. I really do. But to be honest, yeah, I kind of do have a little. Little regret of, like. Cause that's why we're there. And he, like, you know, like, you would wake up in the morning, go to the kitchen, and like, whenever I would see him, it was just like, laughs and fun. I mean, he's like that with everyone. But I did love his energy, and I do almost wish that I maybe gave it a serious chance and didn't just treat it like, oh, we're just friends. But then. And I kind of was really conflicted there for a minute. But then when he came back on the date with Sophie and he was really into her, I also was, like, perfect then, like, that's. That's meant to be and that's their journey. And I'm happy that he. Because I love Sophie. So I was like, they made sense to me. Yeah. So it worked out how it was supposed to. But a little bit of me was like. I wondered. Yeah.
A
Was he, like, really that much of a. Like, I don't know. I feel like all the women wanted him. Was that really for TV or was
B
that when he walked in? I mean, he's so tall and he has an accent.
A
Yes.
B
So, you know, we're just girls. But I think then quickly we all realize, like, oh, he's such, like, a brother energy. And I don't mean that to, like, knock him. But I do think that everyone did feel just a really immediate connection with him because he's so easy to talk to and funny and nice, and so everyone was really drawn to him. But, yeah, he's a charming guy. Yeah, he's a charmer.
A
Wait, so how did you feel when Cassie picked up Jimmy for a date?
B
At first, I really didn't feel like. I was probably just being, like, a little petty. Like, you know, I was like, mm, okay. But it was interesting. Cause after. And, like, even while he was on the date, you start to sweat a little. You're like, oh, wait. And not even like, oh, if he picks her, fine. It wasn't even that. It was more of like, wait, I actually would miss him and I'd actually be sad to not, like, share a bed with you tonight. And, like, that's when I was like, oh, shit.
A
Yeah.
B
Where did these actual feelings come from? Like, they kind of just come out of nowhere. You're like, shit, yeah.
A
It's like when you're on the verge of, like, possibly losing something, then you realize, wait, totally. I actually do care.
B
Yep. And I feel like that was what I. What went. And even when I was with Hashim, I feel like I had to do that to realize, like, oh, I do like Jimmy. But I think at that point too, like, unfortunately, I do think, like, when Hashim came in, it's just my crush was so full bloom at that point with Jimmy, but I knew that he just wasn't there or, like, showing up how, like, what I deserved, which. And then hishin came in and was, like, amazing, and I wanted to give him a chance, but it is like, you know, it is interesting, this little experiment, because you go on all these dates with these singles and it makes you have to really be honest with your emotions. We're not just sitting by the pool and laughing all day. Like, now it's like, okay, shit's happening. And, yeah, what am I feeling?
A

You're not going to sit there and be like, oh, I don't want to be here. I like Ally. Of course you're going to kiss probably and flirt and as you should, you're on a date and this isn't real life. We're on a show right now that we get to have the luxury to explore and have fun. So her feelings are valid. But I also think, you know, at the end of the day, Jimmy had to make the decision and. Yeah, yeah.
A
And she's in a tough position. Like if you don't start in the house. I know, it's just so hard. Yeah. Yeah, it is really hard.
B
And it makes you don't want anyone to ever leave the house either. And it's, it's a tricky place to Be in for sure. Yeah. But I do feel like this season did a good job of, like, bringing them in.
A
Yeah.
B
More.
A
I. I'm still, like, so indifferent about how I feel about the singles being in and having, like, a singles room and then having them spend the night and then pick their date the next day. Like, it just feels like, oh, my
B
God, it was crazy.
A
A lot of moving pieces. Did you feel like at some point there were just too many people? Like, every other day you're like, who's here?
B
That's true. It is interesting. You have to really be proactive, but then you're also, like, wanting to. Yeah, it's hard.
A
Yeah. It's like, you don't want to lose your man, but you don't want to lose your opportunity.
B
Exactly. It's so hard. We just want all of it.
A
Yeah. Why do you think Jimmy wanted to stay open before the mixers if he had such strong feelings for you already?
B
Jimmy and I did. And this. They didn't show this as much, I don't think, in the show, but Jimmy and I did have a lot of talks where we were, for the most part, on the same page about, like, we do want to be open and, like, explore, because that's the point. But we also were on the same page that we were. That we liked each other. And I did think at some point we would eventually be on the same page of, like, let's close this off and, you know, really be just, like, locked in on each other. But so I was a little like, okay, come on. Like, that's always the, like, big old question mark with him, because even after the show and he would come to LA and things, and it was always just like, we're still open. It's like, okay, yeah, like, I know.
A
Like, I know, I know we've been open.
B
We're literally open. I literally get it. But, yeah, I think he just wants
A
his cake and eat it, too.
B
You have to ask him that, because I would.
A
I'll ask him.
B
Yeah, Jimmy. He'd literally have his cake and eat it too, though, so.
A
Yeah. Because there was, like, no pressure to really be boyfriend, girlfriend. Like, there's a lot of women, a lot of singles. Like, it's kind of like, well, why? This is not. Love is blind.
B
Exactly.
A
And I think a lot of love is blind. Coded people, we come in so hot and, like, strong and, like, I have to commit. I have to commit and get engaged within, like, nine to 10 days, where it's like, on Perfect Match. You can kind of take your time and kind of, you know, scope the scene a bit. Do you think that's what he wanted, or was he just, like, not moving his feet?
B
Well, that's why I'd get confused, because he'd be the one that would always want to have conversations about, like, family and babies and futures.
A
Yeah, he's very. Love is blind coated, which shout out to him.
B
So you think that he's, like, a serious dater?
A
No, I think he has serious intentions, and I think now with the glow up, his options have opened up.
B
Opened. Yeah, that's.
A
And now he's on another.
B
Explain it.
A
And now he's in Miami, so.
B
Yep.
A
You know.
B
Yeah. And as. Again, like, as he should. And I don't think that.
A
But don't play with people. Yeah, that part I don't like.
B
That's true. And I do think that I even felt bad at certain points that, like, I was playing with him. Yeah. It's crazy, because I do remember feeling like I was being kind of the, like, hot and cold one, but so was he.
A
Yeah.
B
You know, but I remember just, like. I don't know. It was so confusing. It was just like.
A
Yeah.
B
All of the emotions all the time.
A
Yeah, it was a lot of hot and cold with you guys. Like, it gave, like, oh, my God, we're so obsessed. So obsessed. So obsessed. And then was like, well, we're gonna stay open, and I'm gonna go do this. I'm gonna go do me, like.
B
And then everyone in the house, which thank God because they would call it out, and that's when I was like, oh, right. Yeah. That's like, everyone else is starting to lock in, and I'm seeing all of their relationships, like, really grow, and I feel like ours was just always, like, a wave. But that was good that they clocked it, because it did make me take it seriously and, like, sit there. I'm like, okay, yeah, yeah.
A
If he would have been like, listen, we're closed off. I don't want to match with anybody else for the rest of the. Our time here. Would you be like, okay, yeah. Or were you, like, mentally kind of like, I want to stay open.
B
At one point, I was. I think I even asked him, and I don't remember if they showed it, but I was interested in being closed, like, towards the end of it.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, I think after. Even when we had to vote someone out of the house.
A
Okay.
B
So at the beginning, this is like. I can't believe I'm saying this, but part of me was a little bit like, okay, if Jimmy does go. Because I knew he'd probably get some names in there, his name in there. I was a little bit like, okay, that's an easy way to do it then, because I wouldn't have to do it. And then it's not. And I was, like, feeling fine with it. Like, I had already talked myself through it. But then as the names kept coming and it was getting closer and closer, and I actually thought Jimmy would go home. And that was the moment that I was like, oh, wait, I just got sad. And I actually don't want him to go. I actually like him. And I don't think that was the moment I was ready to be, like, closed with him, but that was the moment. I actually think I took our match, like, seriously. So I was like, I don't want you to leave.
A
Why did people vote him? What did they see that we didn't see? Because I. I feel like that came up a little bit.
B
I think a few things. I think, one, we weren't killing it with the challenges, which. That shouldn't matter at all, but, you know, nobody wanted to vote anyone out, and I think that does make it fair. I don't know. I don't know. I think he also was saying things, and I'm trying to, like, remember. Cause there's so much happened, but he was saying things a lot in the house around that time of, like, he would say something to me and then kind of tell, like, Allison or someone else, like, something different. And so they were starting to clock that he maybe wasn't being as honest or intentional as he was trying to be. And that kind of continued on. And I know Allison always was like, he's saying this to you. But then at the mixer, he's telling Cassie, he. I don't. I don't remember, like, the exact words, so I'm not gonna say it. But, like, just different things that, you know, I. He wouldn't say to me. At one point, he said the words like, game or. Or something like that. And I think they took that the wrong way, because I don't think he meant it that way, you know, But I think they did, and that was a reason. I think his name was in there.
A
Interesting.
B
Yeah.
A
Well, let me ask you. Do you see Perfect Match as a game or a dating show? Like, I feel like sometimes people get on and they're, like, so serious. This is about dating, finding, like, Chris. Yeah. This is about finding my wife. Like, I need to find my person.
B
Right.
A
And then there's people that I want to play the game. And I have fun. Where do you fit in that?
B
I would say more with Chris, because I don't think. I'm not really, like, a game person, and I don't do well in the challenges. I think. Yeah, I feel for me, and I want to know what you think, but I do feel like there are people that are very obvious in the house that are just. And everyone's different. Right. That are more like, oh, the challenges are fun, and we're breaking out, we're gonna win. And, like. And I don't even think that they necessarily need. Feel like they need to win the show. I do think that part doesn't matter as much. But I, like, I think that they just feel very into the game part and the challenges where there's also, obviously, the other people that are just more, like, actually enjoying the company, if that makes sense. Do you feel like that?
A
Yeah, I. I'm, like, competitive by nature.
B
Okay.
A
So I wanted to win.
B
Yep.
A
But I also was like, and you're not going to take my man. So I was very.
B
I don't know.
A
I felt like I was a mixture of both.
B
Yes.
A
But then I can remember there being people that were, like, strictly there for love. Like, strictly there or strictly there for, like, just winning the show or strictly there for winning challenges? Like, I don't know. I feel like there was a few, like, slots that you can fall into.
B
Yep. I definitely, like, was there to just have fun. I don't even know if I was there for any of because, like, I was open to the idea of love, but I was just having fun. And the challenges are fun, but I don't know. I guess him using that word made people kind of like. Yeah. Question his motives, I guess.
A
But you and Hashim really connected during the mixer. Was there any part of you that was like, I'm gonna go all in with Hashim and make Jimmy a little jealous?
B
So that was the hardest part of the show because, again, you're on, like, a date. When Hashim was with me, I was, like, all in. And I was like, yeah, this is my person. Like, we're doing this. And then when I would go back to Jimmy and those feelings would come up and is. Yeah, it's indecisiveness. Prison, which is me always, anyway. And so that was really, really hard. And, yeah, they both were great. And I had different, you know, obviously, I knew was more comfortable. Jimmy, we've shared a bed now, and, like, all of that side of things. But then with Hashim, it was, oh, like, everything that Jimmy Isn't bringing. He's, like, giving it to me on
A
a platter, you know?
B
And so it. That was a tricky. Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
Time.
A
Did Jimmy know if it was you when you guys were kissing?
B
No. Like, I can't. You can't make up how bad we were at those challenges. But I knew it was him.
A
Yeah.
B
Like, it was obvious. And then I really, too, was like, oh, we're actually gonna do well at this.
A
Yeah.
B
And I'm, like, upstairs and, like, the one couple that I think got it wrong. It's disgusting.
A
It's so gross.
B
And they brought in more people. Right. Because yours. You didn't have all of them. Did they do for you? They did the. They gave us, though, like, Listerine and Water between each. You're kidding. We all were very diva. We were like, this is.
A
No, we saw. We. We tried to fight for Listerine. What? And now we all just kind of balls to the wall.
B
There weren't as many of you.
A
Right?
B
There were. Was it. It was 10 and. Yeah, there was 20. So they. Because they brought in all the singles.
A
Yuck.
B
So that's like, 10. And also, like, such a long time. And you're standing there. Yeah.
A
And you're blindfolded on that box.
B
And I never knew if it was a girl coming to list me or a guy. And I'm like, oh, my God. This is insane.
A
Did you have that one song on repeat?
B
No, they played a bunch of different songs. Thank God.
A
How did you feel when all the singles came out?
B
Well, I didn't like my outfit. I wasn't ready for the makeout challenge. I was like, no. I was like, what? Because they thought. We thought we were doing something else, and they told us to dress super. Like, we're gonna get dirty.
A
Yeah.
B
I mean, we're just in workout clothes. But, you know, I was like, just.
A
And honestly, let the singles come out, and you're like, I hate my outfit. That was. What was going through your head? Okay.
B
Kind of. And I knew at that moment because the things that fell were the makeout challenge things. And so I was like, okay, we're doing. Oh, okay. So I guess the first thought was, we're doing the makeout challenge. Shit. And then when they came out, I was like, this is messy. This is.
A
How long did that last?
B
It was a while.
A
Oh, my God.
B
It was a while. And it wasn't. They were. The team was really great. Like, I wasn't ever felt faint or, like. You know what I mean? Like, standing there for hours. But it was probably. I Want to say I'm so bad at time, but I think, like. I think it was probably, like, 45 minutes to an hour.
A
My God.
B
Yeah. And then you have to remember. Yeah. And judge them.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. It was crazy.
A
Chris.
B
Oh, God.
A
Oh, God. He, like, really leaned into that challenge.
B
He was the.
A
He was, like, kissing hands.
B
Like, literally.
A
He was like, I need my girl to feel like.
B
Yeah.
A
And then they did this whole montage of him, like, kissing the hands and kissing the neck. Like, I probably would have punched him in the face. Were you a victim of the hand kissing?
B
I was a victim of some touching. And I remember being like, that's Chris. I know he's a germaphobe, so I'm like, is that his way? But did he still kiss?
A
He still kissed. No, he didn't give. I'm kissing hands because I'm a germaphobe. He was like, I want to, like.
B
You're right.
A
Express my love.
B
That's just.
A
And, like, I want my woman to feel. And I went down the line, and he was just, like, groping everybody, and he's like.
B
Yeah. I just remember thinking, like, whoever this person is. Because I didn't know it was Chris at the time. No. Like, because it's disgusting. It's bizarre. But I remember thinking at the time, they're just joking. No, I was, like, laughing. I'm sure everyone was laughing. That's so funny. That's so funny. And he had to know what he was doing because he.
A
He did to.
B
Everyone chose to do that.
A
Yeah. That was his way of being like, I'm gonna kill it.
B
Oh, my God. Like, what if you think that at the end we were all gonna be like, oh, my God. Yeah.
A
That was the most romantic kiss of my life.
B
I can't even make fun of him, though, because that, like, that whole thing is just so embarrassing anyway. But I'm like, he didn't have to do the most.
A
No. And he did the most.
B
He did the most. Imagine, at that time, he wasn't. He was a single at that time.
A
Yeah.
B
He was trying to get back in the house.
A
Yeah.
B
With the. Wow.
A
Yeah.
B
I didn't know who anyone was. Except Jimmy.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah. As I should.
A
Yeah. If I had to go back to the kissing challenge, I would skip it. Yeah.
B
If I had to go back, I wouldn't. Yeah.
A
Yeah. And then, like, watching 20 people make out, I'm like, okay.
B
It's that part I was gonna say, even with your show. I don't. I did. I would always just kind of like,
A
yeah, and you would go.
B
You go to the end, really, to see the. Because that is the good part. I know from a viewer perspective of, like, who got the rating and who guessed who, but the watching that actually happen is just, like, painful. Yeah. Yeah, it is.
A
You know what wasn't painful, though? Watching Bri and Damari. Damaris. That was hot. Like, they, like, re. Sparked at the makeout.
B
Yes.
A
And Marissa's just standing on the side like she's.
B
See, that's the sad part. It's also sad. It's sad watching her.
A
No idea what's happening right next to her.
B
And I'm like, yeah, I can't watch myself. Like, I don't want to watch myself make out anyway. And I definitely, like. I didn't watch. I was like, definitely like that. Because it's so weird, too, to see you just. I make out, Nick. Like, what? And then at the end, when they, like, put. They put us in front of each other and we all take it off, and I thought it was who we guessed. And I was like, no, no.
A
No idea what's going on.
B
They really got our. They were, like, doing mental gymnastics.
A
Yeah, there was a lot going on.
B
Yeah.
A
Okay, so you went on your date with Hashim, and when you got back, you were really struggling to pick between him and Jimmy. What was going through your head at the time?
B
I honestly, like, wanted a vacation from the vacation. Like, I was like, I need a minute to process. And, like, you're with everyone the whole time, and I know it sounds dramatic, but you really don't have, like, a lot of alone time to just sit and think, you know, I can't call your friends. Yeah. You have everyone there, but they all have their opinions. So that was the part that got really hard for me, was because I knew everyone was starting to feel like Jimmy wasn't as into me and didn't, like, wasn't doing, you know, what they thought he should do, basically. And so I was feeling like, I do really like Hashim also. Everyone else is seeing, like, a different side of Jimmy, I think, than I am. And so I felt just so conflicted. I didn't want either of them to leave. I'm like, I wish we had, like, can we go on, like, three more dates each?
A
Yeah.
B
You know, but you can't. And that. That was really hard. Yeah. And even now, I'm like, I don't know if I made the right choice. Yeah. You know.
A
Were you happy that Jimmy kind of, like, pieced himself out?
B
No, I was really sad that actual night Was really bad.
A
Yeah. I mean, I'm not gonna lie. You didn't look that sad.
B
Really?
A
Yeah. You were kind of, like, crying. And then it cuts to you, like, making out with Hashim, like, one second later.
B
Despite, like, what the show shows, I was really sad. I knew after the date that I was going to pick Hashim. I just was struggling with one. How to tell Jimmy and then also actually admitting that that was, like, going to be the reality and he was going to be gone.
A
Yeah.
B
And you think in the moment, like, he obviously comes back, but I didn't know that. And I was like, oh, my God, I'm never going to see him again, and he's going to hate me forever. And what if I made a mistake? And so it is like the emotions are all over the place. And then when Jimmy left, because he knew. He knew. But when he left, I was like, okay. Kind of just relieved that that was over and that I didn't have to kick him out. I'm like, thank you for excusing yourself.
A
Wow.
B
I need to work on my decisiveness.
A
Yeah.
B
But then. Yeah. When he left, I was like, okay, so now I can kind of enjoy what's in front of me. So I did have fun, But I was drinking that night was. So I was just in an emotional. Like, not my best. Yeah, for sure. But. And I wanted to owe that to Hashim also, and not just be, like, sitting there sad about Jimmy. But I do think that it kind of hit me, like, slowly that I just missed him. Even, like, Dave and Allison and Marissa, like, after, like, the couple days that followed, like, when Jimmy was gone, they said my energy was different, and I do think it was. I was just a little bit also. It's, like, getting to the end of it, you know, and you're just.
A
It's a lot trying to learn a new person.
B
Learn a new person.
A
There's a lot going on. Yeah.
B
You're missing, like. And I did. I missed him. And that was eye opening for me, too, because I was like, okay, I do miss Jimmy. Yeah. But I, like, no regrets because I did explore and tried, and Hashim's amazing. And now, you know, looking back, it's like, I would have done things probably differently.
A
Yeah.
B
But, you know, you have to give yourself grace because we don't have a lot of, like, time, and it's. Things move quickly. Yeah.
A
Were you happy when Jimmy came back into the picture and you guys reconnected? Were you hoping that that would happen? The wrongs we must right, the fights we must Win the future we must secure together for our nation. This is what's in front of us. This determines what's next for all of us. We are Marines. We were made for this. I'm Kiana, and I leveled up my business with Shopify. Once I figured out that Shopify was a thing, I never turned back. I can create a site with my eyes closed. Shopify thinks ahead of us, you know, and it thinks about the customer more than anything. Every day, I'm thinking about some other new business, but Shopify is doing it to me because it's so easy to use. It's like, I can't stop. Stop. I'm addicted.
B
Start your free trial@shopify.com. i did not think that that would happen. So I was really excited. Like, I remember when he walked in and just feeling excited just to, like, see him and talk to him. And then I was also like, oh, my God. Like, he could definitely hate me right now. And, you know.
A
Yeah.
B
But I was excited that I think both of us and we talked about this, like, later. But I do think we both. Weirdly, you know, you're, like, with someone so much, and you, like, start to. You know, it's almost like a. What is it called when you can, like, tell what someone's thinking or saying? Telepathic. Like, are you just. You. You're so close, which I know sounds dramatic. And it was only a month. You're spending a lot of time with these people. But I think we both missed each other a lot. And I think I. I hope. And I don't know this, but maybe he was like, oh, shit, I should have, like, clothes. Yeah. Our. Whatever. But, yeah, I was happy when he came back, and I think we both realized, like, it was stronger than what we really thought it was. That makes sense.
A
Yeah.
B
I was also like, oh, God. Yeah. Like, here he walks in. I'm, like, holding Hashim's hand.
A
Speaking of Hashim, how did you feel when he told Jimmy that you two were physically intimate in front of everyone at the finale?
B
Absolutely mortified. I was like, what? That came out of left field. I was shocked.
A
Yeah.
B
And, like, so much for the do not disturb sign. I'm sorry.
A
Like, hello, Disturbed.
B
Yeah, I know. I'm like, this. That was private.
A
Yeah.
B
In the moment. I was very, very upset. Hashim and I did have something, so I also understood him wanting to make sure Jimmy knew. I don't know. I'm trying to make.
A
Have you talked to him about, like, what the hell? Why'd you do that?
B
No. Huh. No.
A
Interesting.
B
He knew I was really upset, too, I think.
A
So there was no conversation after he dropped that.
B
Well, we talk like, we're good. We just never talked about that. Yeah, it took me a while. I was really upset that night. Looking back, I would have done things differently, but. Yeah, I didn't like that he brought that up. I was like, damn way to just.
A
Do you think you'll have a conversation with him about that, or are you just kind of letting.
B
Yeah, I kind of wish. I do. Sometimes I choose to just be, like, forgive and forget and be passive about things and, like, whatever, and just, like, move on. And I, you know, if ever the chance was there, I would ask, like, why did you do that? But I do think also, at the end of the day, like, it's a show, and, yeah, it's a show, but you are also.
A
That was, like, really personal, a level of discretion.
B
Yeah.
A
Lady.
B
Like, thank you. Okay.
A
That, like, you didn't. You weren't sprawled out in the living room for everyone to see. Like, your personal business is your personal business. Right. And I do think you are owed that level of privacy.
B
And.
A
Yeah. Don't let anybody take that from you.
B
Thank you. You're right. Yeah. I did feel very.
A
Like, there's, like. There's a line. I feel like on these shows where people kind of cross.
B
Right.
A
And it. Like, it's a thin line.
B
Right.
A
But I think people get caught up. Kind of, like, caught up and want to maybe a moment. I'm not saying he did, but I think it was.
B
Or maybe I don't. I don't.
A
We don't know why.
B
We don't know why.
A
And I think maybe if you feel the need to just kind of be like, why the. Did you.
B
Why did you do that? And also, like, to never apologize. He apologized to Jimmy the Fog. That.
A
That men out of me.
B
No.
A
I was so done.
B
I was so done.
A
It's your business.
B
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
A
Moving on. Crazy. Moving on.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. Do you think Sophie and Dave winning was the right choice?
B
I do.
A
Yeah.
B
Yeah, I do. I feel they. They're such a cute match, you know, in, like, the grand scheme, when you think about what we all, like, came here to do and to find your, like, perfect person, I do feel like it was them, and I feel like they complimented each other so well, but they're also, like, fun to be around and, like, they deserve it. Yeah. I felt a little conflicted because I was. I. Indecisive, but, like, I knew I was like, it's them. Yeah.
A
Okay. Wait, so we got to see at the end credits that Chris and Natalie got together after the show. Did that surprise you when you found out?
B
Yes.
A
Yeah. Wow.
B
That surprised me a lot.
A
Yeah. Well, do they talk in the villa?
B
No. Like, I didn't know that they did. I mean, because I didn't talk to Chris a lot, and I feel like Natalie and I are always together, but. And where was Chris, like, the whole time? Like, he was never even around.
A
He was there in the beginning and then gone. So when did they have that?
B
Yeah. Also, like, I actually did think her and ye liked each other. And, like, this was, like, really recent out of the. That. The thing. So it was like, huh.
A
Wait, so are Chris and Natalie still together?
B
No.
A
Oh, okay. So I need to know. The people want to know, what is your current relationship status? Are you single? Are you dating? What is the tea?
B
I am single and loving it. And I actually think I did learn from the show that I really need to be single for a while.
A
Okay.
B
I'm my perfect match. I mean, it. I genuinely, like, had fun and learned a lot, but.
A
What'd you learn? I feel like people always say I learned a lot. What did. Oh, my God.
B
I. I mean, I've learned, honestly, that I do deserve, like, respect and even going back with, like, the James thing of just like you. You learn so much from every relationship and era of your life. Like, I learned from the show, I guess, specifically, that I definitely am not ready to be even intentionally dating, which I think why that is why that show was so fun, because it was kind of a test for me to be like, how do I treat dating? Am I ready? Am I, like, enjoying dating and all that? And it was so fun. But, like, honestly, even just from Perfect Match, like, I'm not ready to date again for a minute because it was just, you know, when your emotions are just. And you just sometimes need to fucking regulate. Like, that's where I'm at right now. I'm like, I need to regulate. And men, I'm just like, I need a minute.
A
Like, I just need an hour. I need a minute. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I'm just such a cheerleader for, like, women exploring and experimenting and figuring out what you like and figuring out what you don't like and not being shamed for it and being in an opportunity, in a space like Perfect Match, where you can do that, and then you come off and you're just like, okay, well, now I know what my standard is. I know what I like. I know I don't like I know how I deserve to be treated. I know how I want to be talked to. Like, as much as. As it is a hookup show, it's also an opportunity to be like, okay, what is really going on in my life? And I think exactly that kind of, like, perspective.
B
Yeah.
A
It changes you in the real world.
B
Exactly. I so agree. And I even, like, I wish all my friends could, like, do it because I do feel like it is such a, like, weird, personal.
A
Yeah.
B
Thing that you go through, obviously, like, and it can change your life and it can wake you up to, you know, stuff that. And even, you know, like, when I am ready to date again, I learned that I can do it. Like, I'm proud of myself for. And I think I maybe wouldn't, like, overshare, like, immediately, but whatever.
A
Yeah.
B
I learned. I just need a minute. But that when I'm ready, I'll, like, really be ready, you know, before we
A
go, what is next for Ally? Tell me what you are up to.
B
Okay. Actually, that's perfect. I am releasing. I sing and play guitar and it's. It's a hobby. I do, like, my readings. That's what I do.
A
Yeah.
B
But music has always been a hobby of mine, and I do it for fun. And I. When I was in Charleston last summer, which is another reason why I moved. I just feel more creative there. Like, you know, sometimes you have to just up and change your entire life to get a dose of creativity, I guess. But I wrote Nep, so I'm releasing that and I have some music coming out, which is fun.
A
Do we have a release date? Is it this year?
B
It's literally just whenever I decide that I am not lazy enough and I can put it on Spotify and share it because it's, like, done and it's recorded, I. I just have to do it. So I'll be doing probably, like summer Ish.
A
But.
B
Yeah.
A
How exciting.
B
Yeah. And if anyone's in Charleston, I'm gonna start singing out at, I don't know, Leva, if, you know, from Bravo, like, Southern hospitality. She owns, like, some restaurants downtown. So I'll be singing at those hopefully in the summer. And. Yeah, that's so fun. Enjoying Charleston, Little Southern belle. I don't know about that, but yes,
A
it'll be a rebrand. I know my rebrand. Yeah, I love that.
B
I had fun. You know, we gotta do all of it.
A
I had fun. I hope that's. That should be the name of one of your songs.
B
Wait, literally, I.
A
Just one called Cute and one called I had Fun. Yeah, I had fun.
B
Oh, God, that's funny. That's like literally, I feel like perfect matches. I. Because Jimmy and I even were making jokes, like, you say cute so much and then he started doing it. We just would say cute a lot. Cute. I love it. Cute.
A
Oh, well, you're cute.
B
You're cute.
A
And I'm really, really, really grateful that you came and spilled the tea because, girl, it was piping hot. We all had a lot of questions. So I'm really grateful for you and being vulnerable and coming here and sharing your side of, you know, your experience. So thank you for joining me.
B
Thank you. I hope you feel good. I do, I do.
A
Relief now that it's all done.
B
I really do. And you are like the perfect. Like it.
A
Yeah.
B
You've been there. So thank you for listening.
A
I got you. You're welcome here anytime. If there's any more tea you want
B
to spill, I'll come right over.
A
Call me, girl.
B
I'll get on a plane and.
A
Yeah.
B
Come across the country. No, I'll be here a lot, so that's nice. Yeah. And if you ever want a reading.
A
