Sadly, today marks the final episode of 'What’s Up in Jeju'. Over the past 1 year and 8 months, we’ve explored the diverse charms of Jeju. Let’s take a look back at some of the best moments and highlights from our journey together!

A special day to exploring the island and showcasing distinctive villages in Jeju!Let’s head to Sanyang-ri, a small rural village located on the western side of Jeju Island. First, we’ll explore ‘Art Lab. Sanyang’, a creative complex that repurposes an old school building. Next, we’ll take a walk through ‘Sanyang Keunkot’, which lies within the lush Gotjawal forest zone. Lastly, we’ll take a look at a book that documents the history of Sanyang-ri.

Today, we're visiting the 'My Dazzling Friends' exhibition. Meet the artworks created over the past year, both individually and together, by four close artist friends—a painter, a cartoonist, an illustrator, and a makeup artist!

Having ended last year at the westernmost point, I’ll start the new year by traveling to the small easternmost village of Jongdal-ri in Jeju. In Jongdal-ri, I’ll explore the history of Jeju’s first-ever salt flats and meet Chun-ok Kim, a haenyeo (female diver), to hear her life story.

Today, let's explore the public libraries across Jeju Island. From the small village library 'Hankyung Library', to the seaside 'Aewol Library', and finally to 'Halla Library', the largest library in Jeju. Let’s enrich our minds together while reading books in these wonderful libraries.

A special day to exploring the island and showcasing distinctive villages in Jeju! We head to Dongil-ri in Jeju to stroll along the coastal walking trail and enjoy a stunning sunset. Additionally, we learn about the traditional custom of "Daljip Burning" associated with Jeongwol Daeboreum. We'll also visit Gamjeo Café, a unique spot created by renovating an old sweet potato starch factory, as well as the local five-day market.
