Hi, I'm Jim Steyer, the founder of Common Sense Media and a longtime professor at Stanford University. For several decades I've worked at the intersection of politics, technology and public policy with a particular focus on my life work, the well being of children and families. Now I'm launching a podcast for you, your family and your friends. It's related to, but a little different from Common Sense Media and it's largely in my role teaching at Stanford. This welcome to which side of History. This is going to be a special eight week podcast focused on this extraordinary moment when our nation, our democracy, our norms and institutions, and quite frankly, our kids futures are truly at a unique crossroads. It's a time for open and constructive dialogue with various different perspectives, listening and sharing. And that's why we're going to have such awesome guests on which side of History. I'm very excited to go on this journey with you all and the podcast will be designed to educate, challenge and inspire action.
