Hello Smarty Pants and welcome to trusty Trivia Thursday. Today we're slurping our way through the twisty, tasty and truly tangled world of noodles. Before we boil over with excitement, a Texas sized shout out to Bennett and Hudson in the Woodlands, Texas. All right, smarty pants, let's slurp up these questions. First question where were noodles first invented? Was it A Italy, B China or C Noodle land? Did you say B? You got it. The oldest noodles ever found were in China, over 4,000 years old and made from millet. Question 2 which ingredient gives traditional noodles their stretch and chewiness? Is it A bubble gum, B. Gluten or C String cheese? If you picked B, you're A gluten for greatness. Gluten is a protein found in wheat flour that gives noodles their signature stretch and satisfying chew. It's what makes pasta pasta rrific. Last question which country consumes the most instant noodles per year? Is it A Japan, B Indonesia? C. China? Did you go with C? You're absolutely slurpurb. China tops the noodle charts eating billions, yes, billions of instant noodle servings each year. You twist it and twirl your way through this noodle knowledge, Smarty pants.
