Oh, and speaking of podcasts, I've got two more to share with you today. The first is called the Smarting E and it is from Rylan. Rylan's dad, Ben wrote to us and said, my son has been working so hard creating his first episode of his podcast. His first episode is about Rush E, an impossible piano song from YouTube that he has been obsessed with. Thanks for putting together this awesome workshop. Rylan. Loved it. Thanks Ben. And thanks for sharing your awesome podcast with us, Rylan. And now, get ready for the smarting E.
B
Did you know that one of the most famous piano pieces of the 21st century is actually impossible to play? In fact, anyone would need 18 hands to play it. That's nine times as many hands as I actually have. Rush E has become one of the most fun famous piano pieces of the 21st century, and it's literally impossible to play. So why is Rashi so popular, and will it change the future of music? Well, Rashi is not just a fun song. It might actually be a sign that music is changing and will keep changing in unexpected ways in the future.
C
But.
B
But let's start from the beginning. Sheet Music Boss wrote rush E in 2018 and posted it on their YouTube channel. And since then, it has gotten over 110 million views. Whaaaat. Rush E has over 30,000 notes with many hard chords played really fast.
C
Ooh.
B
Some of the chords include more than 10 notes. Other chords include 88 notes. That's all the keys on a piano played at the same time. Inspired by Rush E, Sheet Music Boss and others have written many other Rush songs, such as Rushy 2, Rushi 3, as well as Rush A, B, C, D, and so on through the music scale, all following the same basic rules. My favorite is Rush Skeletons. Would you believe me if I told you that there's a piano that can play Rush E on its own? YouTube engineer Mark Rober built a piano named Chopsticks that can play Rush E.
A
So in addition to talking, he could play simple songs like that, but also like really complicated songs.
B
But when it did, it was very close to catching on fire. But what if humans wanted to play Rush E? Some musicians have created a playable version of the impossible song. But if you tried to play the original piece, you couldn't do it on your own. You would need to ask eight of your friends to help you in order to play all 88 notes at the same time. Okay, maybe playing the piano as a group of nine people is a bit silly, but thanks to computer programs, you don't need nine people to play Rush E. That's what makes Rush E so much different from most piano pieces you've heard. Most music composers write music thinking about how the musician will actually play the song. When Sheet Music Boss wrote Rush E, they knew a computer doesn't need 88 fingers in order to play all of the notes at once. Technology opens the door to a style of music that composers from centuries ago would never have been able to dream of that has me wondering. Is Rushy just the beginning? As technology changes, maybe the future of music will continue to open new possibilities. Possibilities of what we can create.
C
What do you think?
B
Today we've learned that Rush E, one of the most popular piano songs written in the 21st century, is impossible to play. At least for us humans. Sheet Music Boss composed the 30,000 note piano piece to be played by a computer, along with many other Rush songs. Technology is also always changing and making new things possible. So I wonder, what will music sound like in the year 2050? What about 3050? Well, that's the end of this episode. Thanks for listening.
C
Eee.
A
Wow. How cool was that? You can tell he put a lot of work into making that. But it's not like schoolwork or homework. It's fun work and it's a chance for smarty pants to use your voice and your creativity to make a show about anything you want. And best of all, you'll be taught by the creators of who Smarted Me and Tex. It's like a podcast masterclass for kids. And speaking of, let's get to our next kid produced podcast. This one is called Learning Dogs Fun with Haze. Get ready to learn all about our four legged friends in this super fun fact filled podcast that's all about dogs. Thanks to Smartypants Haze for coming to podcast camp, making this awesome podcast and letting us share it with you.

One question. Do you guys know that dogs can smell time? Kind of. Because dog senses smells really powerful. Dogs can pick up changes and scent in their environment throughout the day. They can even smell how the air in your home smells different in the morning versus the evening. So tell me, can dogs smell A weather, B sickness or C time? The answer is all of them.
A
Oh wow man.
C
Dogs can smell if you have cancer or anything else. Really. They can also sense thunderstorms. Now it's time for True or false. True or false? Dogs can sense anything in the world. The answer is false. Well, dogs can smell sickness, storms and many more. Dogs can't smell everything. True or false. Are dogs colorblind? The answer is false. Dogs can see color, just not every color. How about time for some multiple choice? Okay, which colors can dogs see better? A Red and green, B Blue and yellow, C Pink and purple. If you said blue and yellow, you're right. Alright, let's talk about a dog's sense of smell. Is a dog's sense of smell 1,000 to 10,000 times better than humans, B40 to 50 times better than humans, or C10 to 12 times better than humans. The answer, surprisingly, is 1,000 to 10,000 Times better than humans. True or false? Dachshunds were originally bred to fight rabbits. The answer is false. Dachshunds fought badgers. Badgers. That's right. Dachshunds are also called wiener dogs because their body looks like a hot dog. Over 70% of presidents have owned a dog. In fact, Grover Cleveland owned three dachshunds. Guess what breed of dog is the loudest snorer? A Black Lab, B. Bulldog. C. Leon Burger. The answer is Bulldog. While the Leon Burker is huge and the Black Lab is energetic. The winner is Bulldog. Because their airways are obstructed because of their flat face. Guess what the heaviest dog breed is. A. Leonberger, B. German shepherd. Or C, English Mastiff. The answer is English Mastiff. Male mastiffs generally weigh between 160 and 230 pounds. The heaviest English mastiff ever was named Zorba Zorba and weighed 343 pounds. That's as heavy as an upright piano. True or false? The fastest Greyhound ever reached 41 mph. The answer is true. The fastest greyhound on earth was named. Star Title. Star Title. Now that's it. Star Title. Good job. Star Title. And now, time for the dog contest. How it works is you enter your dogs, what breed they are and how many you have, and by the next day or two, you will see if you have won or lost. And the winner is. Jen Grilly. Scoring with two dogs, Baxter and Earl. Now it's time for doggy shout outs. The winners are Primrose, Ruby, Birdie, Baxter, Earl, and finally, Loki. Now some funny doggy jokes. One, what's a dog's favorite dessert? PupCakes. Two, why are there no losers in the dash hound race? They're all wieners. Three, what dog is most likely to be ordered at McDonald's? A Leon burger. Do you have a dog? If so, make your parents enter their name so that and they can be part of our new doggy shadow. Just call our hotline at 978-933-7112. See you on the plugger side.
