What's up? Everybody happy? Well, that's good. Wednesday. I hope you're having a great week. But, friends, it is about to get literally so much better. So if you are watching this right now, then you already see this is a very special episode. If you're not watching this, I kind of highly encourage you to tune in on YouTube and watch it, because we have the whole family in the house because we have a very exciting announcement. Shall I say quack, quack? We're back. So some of you guys might have seen we just announced that we are going back to tv, which is literally so crazy. But for the. Well, that's good, listeners. You might have heard mom and I did a podcast episode not too long ago where we talked about filming a sizzle. We were like, I don't really know what this is going to be, if it's going to be something. Do we want to do this? I think we do. We're doing it. We're filming this sizzle. We're all in now. We'll see what they say. And since then, I've actually had a lot of you guys check in, like, hey, how did the sizzle go? Did anything happen with the sizzle? Are y'all coming back to tv? And I have just, like, been radio silent about that because we couldn't say anything. So now we're super excited to just be here as a family and get to talk about it. So, guys, just all in all, how's everybody feeling?
Willie Robertson
Great.
Sadie Robertson
Everyone's pretty excited, actually. I would say super excited for this new journey. But, dad, specifically, let's hear from you. The boss Hug himself. How you feeling about going back to this?
Willie Robertson
Man, I'm so excited about this. I cannot wait. I've been dying to get back in production and TV and all the fun stuff that goes along with it. And it's the lighting, all of it. I just can't wait.
Sadie Robertson
It's pump.
Willie Robertson
I am pumped.
Sadie Robertson
This is like a. This sounds like a spoof. What are you, like, in your interview mode?
Jep Robertson
What do you mean?
Willie Robertson
I'm excited. That's super. I mean, I'm puzzled.
Sadie Robertson
I told you, this is a huge deal.
Willie Robertson
This is a big thing.
Sadie Robertson
Be yourself. Everyone else is taken. Bill, I feel like you're being me right now.
Willie Robertson
Well, someone asked me before, and I gave a different answer. And then sometimes we have to do stuff over. So whatever I said before, I am changing.
Korie Robertson
I gave dad some critiques. I was like, I gave dad some critiques.
Willie Robertson
She said, you're a dud about this show.
Korie Robertson
He was being a dud.
Willie Robertson
He was trying to let everybody else talk.
Korie Robertson
He was being a dud.
Willie Robertson
No more dud.
Korie Robertson
He's bringing some energy. So I appreciate that you're bringing some energy. I will say this. We were all a little unsure, honestly, whenever we decided to come back and do the show, because we did it. We did it for five years, 130 episodes. Dick. Dynasty was amazing, and it was fun. It was all that. But, like, we were like, should we really do this again? It's kind of like, you know, we can't. It can't be the same. So should we do it again? We shot this sizzle that we mentioned on the podcast, and it was, like, two days, and everything was, like, perfect. It was like, the weather was perfect, the sun was shining. Our kids were, like, amazing. They all got along. Along for the whole two days.
Sadie Robertson
Us or our kids? Because, yeah, for two days. Your grandkids were weirdly good, though.
Korie Robertson
So, like, toddlers actually all got along. It was, like. It was so good. It just felt like, this is right. So I was like, all right, we're doing it. And I think at the end of it, I got calls from, like, every single one of you separately. I was like, that was so fun. We could do that again. So here we are.
Sadie Robertson
Okay, so then after that, we decide. After we did the. We, like, you know, decided we're doing the show, we decided to film a podcast as a family to share with you all the excitement. So we actually already have done this. This is our second take. But as the first time we did a podcast, mom said the dad was a dud and had no energy and excitement.
Willie Robertson
We almost canceled the whole show just because of. Just because of my performance on that podcast. So I don't want to do this again. So whatever it takes, I am ready. Ready, ready. Let's roll, roll, roll.
Korie Robertson
This tv, dad. Okay, dad blame production. Sorry, y'all. Production. He's in the room right now. Dad playing production. Because he was like, well, they told us we can't talk over each other. And also, like, you were. Willie was sitting behind Sadie, and so he didn't think he's on camera. So every time Sadie was talking, he's like, this.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah, thank you.
Korie Robertson
And I was like, willie, you've got to, like, give something to your fellow. Which actually, I'm giving it today.
John Luke Robertson
We have the best couch now.
Sadie Robertson
So I. I left that day thinking I was encouraged because dad text me. He's like, great job with the interview. I was like, thank you. And then all of a sud Mom's like, no, we are redoing that. Dad's energy was so bad. And then, hey, you blame production, then production. Blame me and mom and Bella because that was our day two of our juice cleanse. And we.
Korie Robertson
We were like, also, all along.
Jep Robertson
Also, you never made it to day two of the clinic.
Sadie Robertson
I didn't even make it to the end of day two of the cleanse because after that podcast, I was like, oh, my gosh, I need food. Okay, who wants to answer this question? Because there's so many of us. I'm looking at everyone. Maybe John Lee, you can take a stab at it. How is this show going to be different than what Duck Dynasty was?
John Luke Robertson
I think it's going to be different because we're different. You know, we're different than dad and the brothers and mom and just that whole generation. Like, we have a different relationship and the things we're doing, our goals are all different. So it's naturally going to feel different. I think it's going to be a little more authentic is the word that we keep using. And that's where we want to show, like, this is how we actually live our life, like, in the day to day.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah, I agree.
Korie Robertson
I feel like people are going to want to know this is Uncle Sa. Because that's the most question we get asked when we travel is like, where's Uncle Size? If, like, he travels everywhere with us. But, you know, so people are going to ask, is Uncle Sat going to be on it? Yes. You will see Uncle Sal on the show. You will see some of the older generation as well. But it is like the continuation. It's the next generation. It's what. What's happening next? Because I do feel like, I mean, that was like, how many years ago we ended in 2017. So almost eight years ago was when we ended. So so much has changed. We've gotten. Had marriages and babies and all that, so we've got a lot to catch people up on. But yes, you'll see some of the older generation, too. And I feel like there's gonna probably be some other Uncle Size pop up.
Sadie Robertson
Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure.
Jep Robertson
Are we gonna. Is this gonna be like Willie's son in law, Willie's other son in law, Willy's.
Sadie Robertson
Oh, yeah. How the titles used the title Willie's.
Jep Robertson
Third daughter in law.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah. I want to play a fun little, like, who would be most likely. So, like, who would be most likely to be the uncle Psy character of our crew?
Rebecca Robertson
Rebecca.
Sadie Robertson
Everyone's playing Rebecca. Rebecca and Jacob. These two they're both on that couch. We'll let you figure that out.
Korie Robertson
I'm going to give John Luke a little bit of it too. He's acting all, like, calm and everything today, but he has some uncle Sad tendencies.
Sadie Robertson
John Luke can, like, be normal in normal scenarios, but he also can be Uncle Sish.
Willie Robertson
I call him the silent.
John Luke Robertson
I can be the silent killer. I feel like I'm more subtle than the the uncle s kind of style.
Sadie Robertson
Rebecca is the uncle s like, she's Uncle Sa in the sense that one, you might have to have subtitles underneath you because sometimes it's hard to understand what you say. And two, you will have very quotable T shirt worthy things that you say.
Bella Robertson
I feel like I just don't really have a filter, but that's what everyone's told me. But I'm not trying to.
Sadie Robertson
No, it just. It comes naturally. It just comes out of you.
Bella Robertson
I mean, if it bring Joyce to people, then I'm fine with it. But, you know, both of them.
Sadie Robertson
Multiple joys. Okay, who is the most likely to be diva on set, Christian.
Rebecca Robertson
Or this guy?
Willie Robertson
Corey?
Sadie Robertson
Dad. Dad is Lily. Are you pointing at me?
Willie Robertson
Does that remind me of some of the times on Duck Duck. I was doing Need I. I want a blanket. I demand a blanket right now. I demand a blanket right now.
Korie Robertson
Diva moment in all 130 episodes, and he will never let me down. It was this man was the diva that we waited on every episode.
Bella Robertson
We did wait on you today.
Korie Robertson
We did wait on you.
Willie Robertson
I thought it was at the office. Nobody told me it was at our house. I literally. That is two times in a row I've been up there to be on Sadie's podcast.
Sadie Robertson
This was not on us. This was not on us. Not on us.
Willie Robertson
Into the podcast room of your podcast. Crickets. And I went, perhaps. Apparently I'm at the wrong spot, but I didn't know where the spot was.
Sadie Robertson
Family group.
Korie Robertson
Perhaps you should read the family group text.
Willie Robertson
I don't read group text. I don't read group text. Okay, perhaps screenshot it and send it to me in a singular text, not a group text.
John Luke Robertson
Diva.
Korie Robertson
That's diva.
Willie Robertson
I'm part of too many groups I can't keep.
Rebecca Robertson
Oh, he's too famous.
Korie Robertson
Should we vote again on going to be the diva?
Sadie Robertson
All right, some people are still saying Christian dad is the unanimous.
Willie Robertson
Maybe I'll just be the pop off feel and get rid of my cell phone. Oh, then you got to come find me.
Sadie Robertson
So if you followed me for a while, then you have heard me. Talk about Liberty University and how much my family loves it. Fan the Flames, y'all. Liberty's mission is training champions for Christ and providing an amazing Bible based education. I actually had to take some online classes from Liberty and loved it and I know you will too. The online classes was set up so easy for a busy lifestyle. I loved how it was done, but I just did it for a short amount of time. Edu Sadie to get started today, when we were talking about what we want the heart of the show to be, I will not forget this. We're sitting on this couch. It was more put together because we were sitting in our living room and John Reed was beside me. And John Reed and I, you know, we have different, we have different perspectives on things sometimes. And mom's like what do we want the show to feel like? And at the same time I said, pure. John Reed said and we looked at each other like what? So I yes, that that's okay.
Korie Robertson
It takes all of us and that's think is fun about it and that's what I think is fun about a big family that I think also some of Us have kind of, like, lost in society is like, when you live in a big family, you realize that, like, we're all different. Like, we all. That we think differently about things, but we also all come together, and, like, we sit around the table, we love each other, we love those differences, and we, like, see the value in, like, coming together with those differences. But, yeah, you were talking about. That's been kind of a fun part of this process, that we've all kind of come together and had a few family meetings. We had, like, the giant whiteboard in our living room, and we're like, okay, what are some words that we should just throw out? Some words like, what do we want this to feel like? And it was things, like, authentic, I think was. The first one is like, we all want it to feel authentic. We want it to feel, like, homey and warm was fun.
Willie Robertson
Warm, like, warm. Warm was edgy and warm.
John Luke Robertson
Wait, wait, I have something on this and how it's going to be different. I think in Dick Dynasty, the episodes are so short. You know, we had 30 minutes plus commercials. And so it was, like, who we really were, but it was cut down to such a small, like, one kind of aspect of ourselves. Whereas this show, we've got a whole hour, so we have so much more time to kind of show the complexities of our personalities and our relationships. And I think that's going to be really cool to kind of go deeper into who we are and what we want to show.
Rebecca Robertson
That's what I was going to say. It's going to be a bit more balanced in the sense of, like, Duck Dynasty was really funny, and we'll have those funny elements of, like, we are just, like, there's a lot of funny things that happen in our family, but there's also a lot of serious things and a lot of other moments, too, that we're going to show in this one that are different from last time.
Sadie Robertson
But, Bella, I want to touch on you for a second, because we all were younger when Doug Dynasty was happening. And like you said, you know, it was more focused on dad and Mama Campo, Phil, Uncle Sigh, the brothers, and we were the kids, you know, and now we are adults, and, you know, we're working in the warehouse and doing our stuff. Bella, you really were like a kid. You and Will were, like, little. Like, we were teenagers, but y'all were, like, kids. And I'll never forget just that image of you in my mind doing the karate scene on Duck Dynasty. So particularly for you and Will, like, we'll let you Go after Bella. Like, what are you excited about people seeing in your life who might have watched Duck Dynasty?
Rebecca Robertson
Yeah, I'm excited to really show a deeper part of our lives and, like, not just kind of the surface level stuff we. We all share on social media. And I think sometimes social media can really stay at the highlights. But I think this show will really follow all of our lives and, like, the hard stuff and the fun stuff, too. And I think that'll be something cool, especially because we do all love social media, and we love keeping up with all the people who follow us and follow our lives. And I think it'll be cool to show them a whole, you know, the other side of it.
Sadie Robertson
It's true. Will, what about you?
Willie Robertson
Yeah, I agree.
Sadie Robertson
I think it's going to be cool to.
Willie Robertson
I mean, we're going to be back.
Jep Robertson
And forth a lot from Texas, and I'm just.
Sadie Robertson
I'm excited to show everybody, like, what. How we operate, aside from everybody else and not being with you guys and.
Jep Robertson
Just what our life like is as.
Sadie Robertson
A family in Texas and what our.
Willie Robertson
Jobs are like and what our friend.
Sadie Robertson
Groups are like, and, you know, how. How we're living life over there. That's awesome.
Jep Robertson
Really cool.
Korie Robertson
I think about Dick Dynasty, a big part of it for us was just a family getting to do something together. And what a gift that was for us to get to. For y'all to be with your aunts and uncles all the time. I mean, we're together, obviously. We're together a lot. We live on the same property where we are at dinner together. We're in each other's homes all the time. But when you're filming a show together, like, you are really together. And we got that gift with, like, Mama K and P, Phil and Uncle Sigh and all that. And now we're getting to kind of pass that gift on, that generationally pass that on. And also, I know remember whenever we were filming, thinking, like, wow, we have some really awesome home movies, you know, because, like, y'all experience big life moments on Duck Dynasty, like learning to drive, getting your driver's license, first date, getting married, all those things that you guys experienced on the show, and we actually get to have that forever and watch that. So now we're going to get to have that now for this generation, which is going to be really fun and sweet for me as a mom to get to see.
Sadie Robertson
So, speaking of real life, currently, while we're filming this podcast, at any second, Rebecca could go into labor. Legitimate.
Willie Robertson
I keep saying, are you all right? Because she made a noise. I was like, are you all right?
Sadie Robertson
No, Literally, like, no joke.
Willie Robertson
She baby started crying.
Sadie Robertson
She might have a baby tonight that would go sideways as well. But, Rebecca, I mean, it's. It's a vulnerable thing to be, like, you know, willing to put yourself out there on TV in the midst of, like, you're literally having your third baby. We could have been filming this, and, like, you would have been going to the hospital. It could have been crazy. How do you feel about just, like, cameras coming into your life with three little kids and just the stage that y'all are at now?
Bella Robertson
And I think to us, like, we're super excited about it. And it's so funny, when we did a sizzle, I was not pregnant yet, you know, and we were already excited just to show our live, and I think, you know, and then fast forward, and then I found I was pregnant, and then throughout all this, and then now we're finally about to start filming and air the show and all that, and. And I'm just excited to be part of, like, showing that part of the story, too, because how cool. Like, yeah, what. Who can say that? That your birthing experience or that kind of stuff was documented.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah.
Bella Robertson
And just, you know, and I feel like, for me, I'm so excited about the show because I feel like we have so much that people can relate to, and we're so also different. And I feel like, like, everyone already said, like, before, you feel like it was just showing one aspect of the family, but now we have so many different personalities in the family. I think everyone can find, like, themselves related to one of us or the situation. And, like, birthing is one, like, being pregnant, you know, like, kids, crazy.
Sadie Robertson
I don't know.
Bella Robertson
I just feel like that just almost even add more, like, right. Excitement and, you know, it's real life.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah, it's real life. Situation who are watching. And, yes, I feel like people watching show can relate to one of us. Just speaking of real life moments, like, who can say that that was documented. Y'all had your wedding on Doug Dynasty, which I think is so special. Mary Kate, you want to speak into a little bit, because you were a part of Duck Dynasty more so, like Christian and Jacob. John Reed. Well, John Reed, you were kind of in that, too. Abby, y'all were in that wave. So now we're getting to experiences with our spouses, which is so sweet. Mary Kate, when you excited about bringing the cameras back and the stage of life that you guys are in, and I think it's sweet, too, because Just to say people have followed you along since Doug Dynasty, and I think it's going to be so cool for those who have followed you, love you on social media, just like everyone here. You guys all do such a good job sharing your life, but what are you excited about showing more of?
Mary Kate McCall
I just feel like all of us, I feel like one of our hesitations of the show was that we all feel so happy with, like, how life is right now. But I think that's also the flip side. Just what's so fun going to be so fun about it is I feel like life is just feels so full and so sweet right now. Like, I don't know. I think we have a lot of fun together. And I'm excited for the kids because I feel like one of the fun parts about filming Duck Dynasty was we were just all together a lot. And I can think back on, like, us as teenagers and 19 and 20 and just even the hours, like, behind the camera, you know, when cameras weren't rolling, when we were waiting and behind the scenes and just laughing and having fun. And I'm excited for all of us to get that again, but this time, like, also with our kids, and I think they're actually gonna love it because it just means more family time, which is all they really want anyway.
Sadie Robertson
That's so true. Well, fam, we had a tough couple of weeks in the Huff house with the flu, but thankfully we are on the mend. But it was a good reminder of how important it is to keep up with your hydration needs, especially after being sick. So keeping up with your electrolyte balance is essential to getting better faster. And that is where Element comes in. Because hydration isn't just about drinking water. It's also about maintaining a balance that helps you operate at the top of your game. Element is a zero sugar electrolyte drink mix and sparkling electrolyte water that was born from research showing that we need two or three times more sodium than government recommendations. So each pack of Element has a meaningful dose of electrolytes, including sodium without any sugar, artificial flavors, or shady ingredients found in other brands. Electrolytes are responsible for so many important functions in our body, and losing that balance can cause headaches, cramps, fatigue, brain fog, and weakness. So Element is formulated for literally anyone on a mission to restore their hydration balance. It's used by podcasters, Olympic and pro athletes, special forces teams, gym bros, and lots of people like me and you just living our best life. Plus, for a limited time, Element is offering flavors especially designed to Be enjoyed hot. So in the cold weather, it's perfect for that, like chocolate raspberry, chocolate chai, or chocolate mint. That sounds like it would be so tasty in a cup of hot cocoa. So whether you are a snowboarder, ice skater, or just a driveway shoveler, Element can fuel your winter activities. We love Element in our household. Actually have Christian and I's favorites here. I love the watermelon salt packets, and Christian is absolutely obsessed with their sparkling drink. He loves it. He drinks one every day. So be sure to try the new Element Hot and get your free sample pack with any Element purchase, which is a great way to try out all of the flavors@drinkelement.com Whoa. Again, that drink Element D R I N K L m n t.com Whoa. I think one of the questions I get asked a lot for people who know me and know that we're doing a show is like, how do you feel about your kids being on tv? Like, people are, you know, just. That's a natural thing to worry about. And as much as I was worried about that too, I remembered, oh, wait, I was the kid. Like, I was the kid who went through this too, you know, because our family had Duck Dynasty, and we were the younger generation and we were the kids. And now I look back and I can't imagine my life without that. That was such a part of our life. And I'm so grateful for the way that we grew up, and I'm so grateful for the way that you guys raised us in that. And, like, I think one thing that was wild about Doug Dynasty is we had never been through that before. So you guys were learning at the same time. We were learning, but you still did a great job at teaching us. And now we actually have an example of that. We're like, we did that, and you guys gave us that example. And so, yeah, I'm excited for. For the kids because it was exciting for us. We got to spend time with the family and got to do something very special and, yeah, have the most epic home movies of all time, you know. But, yeah, some of those life moments on the show are like, John Luke said, I will never out. What'd you say? Like, I will never outgrow bumblebee tuna. There's some things that you're like, oh, that's embarrassing.
John Luke Robertson
Well, yeah, but the thing that was amazing about the show about Duck Dynasty was how much the fans loved it and people loved it and how we. How supported we felt while we were filming it and putting it out. Like, I Have people every day who I see a duck commander at the store say, like, oh, I watched your wedding. We loved it. Or they'll say, like, oh, that bumblebee tune episode. Like, I laugh so hard at that. You know, like, they. People love to watch it. And so now we get asked all the time, like, when are you going to do another show? When you're going to do another show. And so, like, when we've been saying we're excited to show this, it's like, because you, the people who've been watching, loved it and been asking for it, we're excited that we get to do this for you.
Sadie Robertson
I remember bringing up that verse that you are the light of the world. You know, a city on a hill cannot be hidden. You don't light a lamp and put it under a sand, but you put it on top of the sand so that it gives light to the whole house. And then it says, in the same way, let your light shine so that others may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven. And I think that's, like, such a good verse for what Duck Dynasty was able to be. It was a light in the world. And so when we got the opportunity to come back, back to tv, it almost felt like to say no would to be to hide the light under the stand. But no, you don't do that. You put it on top of the stand so that people can see the light and, you know, and in hopes that people will, you know, see God through that and find joy in their own heart, in their own home. That was one of the coolest things, is how many people started having dinner together as a family from just seeing that example on Duck Dynasty, praying together as a family. I just think that was such a beautiful thing that we were able to be a part of just like, kind of a movement in that, and hopefully we'll do that again through sharing our family with the world.
Rebecca Robertson
Yeah, I was gonna say, I think it's cool because I work in the store, and so I get to interact with a lot of fans every day. And it's really fun because there's so many people who are watching it right now due to, like, streamers and stuff like that. So many kids come in and watch watch the show, and it's really fun because they've seen the show so many times. There will be people who come in and they'll be like, I recognize you from the TV show. And I'm like, how? Like, I was, like, 9 or 10 years old. How do you recognize me from the TV show, but they watch it over and over again. So I think it's really cool because we're gonna get to give them something else to watch, something new, something fresh. I feel like someone came in the other day and they told me they have four TVs in their house, and they. When they get home, they turn all of them on Dick Dynasty. And everyone watches Dick Dynasty. Well, for me, I was like, so wild, but cool.
Sadie Robertson
I had that moment too with actually, it was a doctor that we were going to Food for Honey. And the doctor's like, you know, plays it so cool the whole time. And then at the end, she's like, by the way, my dog loves your show. No, that sounds weird, but every time I leave my house, I turn on Duck Dynasty for my dog. I'm like, cool.
Rebecca Robertson
I'm like, that's how they recognize us because they watch it so many times.
Sadie Robertson
I know.
Korie Robertson
Cool.
Rebecca Robertson
Because we're gonna get to give them something else to watch and something new. I think it's fun. There's people all the time who come in and tell me things about the show that I have no idea what they're talking about. I'm like, cool. They're like, is the decoy still on the roof? I'm like, I don't know.
Korie Robertson
You can go look.
Rebecca Robertson
I have no idea what they're talking about, but I'm like, go look.
Sadie Robertson
I know it's hard to keep up. There is 130 plus episodes, so people will ask me, like, how's, like, you know, uncle size poodle? I'm like, I have no idea, you know, because so much life has happened. Okay, Jacob and Christian, you guys haven't got to talk much, but I feel like this is so exciting because y'all were not in the first wave of Duck Dynasty. Here y'all are, are on this new season. But it's really cool too, because thinking back to the brother dynamic of, like, Jace and Jep, Alan, all. All of the guys in the warehouse and stuff, and then thinking about what it kind of looks like in our family, it's not so much the siblings. We've been joking. Like, if any rivalry is gonna happen, it's the brother in law. So, like, it's like Jari, Jacob, Christian, this whole dynamic. Julie, you're too nice to be in that rivalry, but you'll be in on all the action. He's in on all the action, but he's not gonna be the one stirring the pot. So how are y'all feeling about life? Life on tv.
Jep Robertson
I feel great. It's, it's. I don't know if you feel the same way, but anytime we do like the quack, quack, we're back thing, it's like so uncomfortable for me to say.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah, yeah, me too.
Jep Robertson
I was never on the show. I'm not coming back.
Sadie Robertson
You were a fan. I was a fan.
Jep Robertson
But I'm like, I'm not coming back to anything. This is my, you know, my first time. So I'm like uncomfortable saying that.
Sadie Robertson
I get it.
Jep Robertson
But no, I'm really excited. I think echoing what everyone has said of just, just we all are so close. We do love our life right now and I think that showing that will be a light like you just mentioned and I think there's so many funny dynamics to play off of and I just think that we're all going to grow closer and look back and yeah. Have so many great memories to just to reminisce on. So I'm really excited. No more hesitancies. They were some of the beginning.
John Luke Robertson
Yeah, I mean it'll be super fun. I mean the rivalry will happen.
Sadie Robertson
You know, it's not on purpose. I think it'll just be.
Willie Robertson
It's mainly these two right here.
John Luke Robertson
Nah, you'll be in, you'll be in this, this too. But I think it'll just be all fun because that's just how we are. That's how boys are. At least how me and Christian and John Reed are.
Sadie Robertson
We just like to poke fun at each other and have a good time.
John Luke Robertson
You know, and if it goes too far, you know, ask for forgiveness later and you figure it out.
Bella Robertson
But like John Re always act like he was like the older one. He was like, oh, well, I'm like their dad, you know, like.
Sadie Robertson
But yeah, come on, I've seen their.
Bella Robertson
Texts and oh, this is maybe like stepdad or something.
Willie Robertson
Like.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah, young stepfather.
Jep Robertson
You're like our older brother.
Bella Robertson
Yes, like the really wild, the 15.
John Luke Robertson
Year old older brother that still lives.
Sadie Robertson
With the parents like in the basement. Yeah.
John Luke Robertson
But you're the favorite though. I enjoy it.
Sadie Robertson
So one question that a lot of people have had is what is the name of the new show? And we don't even know the name of the new show. And so one, everyone can drop a comment what you think it should be but also any ideas what the new show should be called?
Korie Robertson
I've seen Duck, Duck Deuce.
Willie Robertson
No, I like that.
Korie Robertson
Duck Duck. This was suggested and we were like, no.
Sadie Robertson
I was like then every time you like, you do any kind of Interview. You had to be like, what's up, guys? I'm Sadie from. Doug. Doug Deuce.
Jep Robertson
What's this Disney Channel you're watching?
John Luke Robertson
But we, like. We draw the duck.
Rebecca Robertson
Yeah, yeah.
Korie Robertson
So we definitely need suggestions.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah, I think the one everyone has liked is, like, the Next Generation kind of style. Like, Duck Dynasty. Next Generation.
Jep Robertson
Do you like Next Generation or, like.
Sadie Robertson
The 2.0 next gen 2.0?
Jep Robertson
I think Duck Dynasty 2.0 is kind of cool.
Korie Robertson
Okay.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah.
Korie Robertson
Duck Dynasty 2.0.
Sadie Robertson
No, that's pretty good. Pretty fun. Okay, I do want to talk about this because we, you know, are just now getting to know kind of the production team, showrunner, all the things. And we all got an email the other day, a questionnaire, getting to know us. So the first question he asked, what are some of our quirks? I thought that was kind of a funny question. I'll throw it at Bella first, because we were talking about sibling robbery, and I said, well, me and Bella don't really ever. I can't even think of a time we've ever gotten, like, a argument or fight, like, as adults or even. We didn't really even argue that much as kids. Me and you did, John Luke, but me and Bella really didn't. But I was like. But Bella and Christian actually kind of do, because one of Bella's, you could.
Jep Robertson
Say I'm clearly the common denominator.
Sadie Robertson
One of Bella's quote unquote quirks is, like, she doesn't sugarcoat anything. She's just, like, very, like, blank. Like, just say how it is, and, like, doesn't really care about how it comes out. So, like, if you're in a bad mood, like, you're just in a bad mood, and you're just okay to tell everybody you're in a bad mood. And if you're just gonna say something, it's gonna be honest, and then you're just gonna drop legs hot and walk away, which some sensitive feelings cannot handle. Some of the straightforwardness of your quirkiness. And so that is something kind of talking about is going to be a funny dynamic to see on screen.
Rebecca Robertson
Yeah. I feel like Christian's gotten a little bit used to it now. You can handle it more than back in the day, a little bit.
Jep Robertson
Ish.
Bella Robertson
You do. Like, you know, whenever you're not in a good mood, like, you always. You always, like, you would know.
Rebecca Robertson
I'll go ahead and acknowledge if there is a mood.
Korie Robertson
Well, it's awesome.
Bella Robertson
Moody.
Sadie Robertson
Moody.
Korie Robertson
You can tell it by Bella's dress.
Bella Robertson
The way she dresses, whether or not.
Korie Robertson
She washed her hair.
Sadie Robertson
What did you say to her the other day? Is that off?
Rebecca Robertson
If that.
Sadie Robertson
Is that off limits to talk about?
Korie Robertson
When you came to work and then you walked in and you were looking pretty rough, and I was like, so, what's your vibe you got going on today? And then she immediately started crying. I was like, I'm sorry, but.
Sadie Robertson
But I think that that's the kind of thing, like, Rebecca said, like, everyone, you're gonna see yourself in one of us. And, like, I think that that's what's so great. And, like, people always laugh at me and you because, like, someone will ask a question like. Like one of our best friends, because we all have the same best friends. And I'll be like, hey, do you like this shirt? And you'll be like, no. At the same time, I'll be like, well, it's not my. My favorite.
Rebecca Robertson
No, what you do is you say, why don't you ask Bella?
Sadie Robertson
I do that too.
Rebecca Robertson
Sadie's friend who has bangs, she texted me and was like, hey, Sadie told me to ask you if I should grow out my bangs. I was like, you sent her to me to do your dirty work.
Sadie Robertson
Which, if I say, you need to ask Bella, that means the answer is not what you want to hear.
Rebecca Robertson
I was like, what do I say? Back to this ice cream trend sent to Sadie. And she was like, yeah, you need to tell her no. I was like, oh, my gosh.
Willie Robertson
Not that there's anything wrong with banks.
Sadie Robertson
Not that there's anything wrong with Banks. I think that's the kind of.
Jep Robertson
Rebecca, there's nothing wrong with your banks.
Sadie Robertson
No, Rebecca, your banks look good.
Korie Robertson
I love your bags.
Bella Robertson
Thanks.
Sadie Robertson
Yours really do look good.
Bella Robertson
I got a pretty direct answer straight from all y'all. Like it?
Sadie Robertson
No. They look really good. And Bella affirms that my quirk is.
Rebecca Robertson
More just, like, not being fake. And so if I'm in a bad mood, I'll just go and acknowledge it. I'm in a bad mood.
Sadie Robertson
Remember what you said, Bella kind of a savage.
Bella Robertson
Savage. Yeah.
Sadie Robertson
And Rebecca goes, really? And then she goes, well, sometimes she does say my booty splat.
Bella Robertson
Yeah, she called my booty flat all the time. And then.
Sadie Robertson

I feel it used to be like that way you watch shows as a family and we still do. Like, we watch Survivor together, American Idol, like those kind of things. But I hope this is a show that our family can watch together and as a family be like, oh, that's so you or that's so me, you know, And I think they'll get that through all of our different personalities.
Korie Robertson
I love that because that is one thing that so many people commented to me on Duck Dynasty. They were like, this is the only show that we sit down and watch as a family. And we all, we love to have shows that we watch together as a family. So that was something that was really special. I actually had one woman come up with, like, she was like crying and she said, 17 years of marriage, this is the first show my husband and I can Agree on. And we watched together and it was like this bonding moment for them. So we hope that this show is that for. For families as well.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah, it's good. Anyone want to share some of dad's quirks? Mom and Dad's quirks? Because I feel like this is going to be fun for people to see y'all in a new, new stage of your life, which is really sweet in a quirky way. Well, yeah, like, this isn't like a quirk of yours, but how just, like, sweet you are to the grandkids.
Rebecca Robertson
Yeah.
Sadie Robertson
And like I say because, like, since like, your last.
Willie Robertson
Is that a quirk?
Sadie Robertson
Yeah. But just to show a soft side.
Rebecca Robertson
Yeah, this is like a normal.
Willie Robertson
Normal.
Sadie Robertson
I said no to quirk. I said this isn't a quirk, but this is just a new thing that people may not seeing in you is like this really tender side towards the grandkids, which is really sweet and fun. Okay. Bella has a legitimate quirk.
Rebecca Robertson
This is a real quirk. Is that everywhere we go, dad will just start stretching. Like in the airport. He will have his leg up on the es.
Korie Robertson
Escalator.
Rebecca Robertson
On the escalator, all the way up on his stretching. And I'm like, me and mom were like, back away from us. We are not associated with this person. Like, full on stretching in the airport. And like, I will never forget, we were somewhere with me, we were at this, like, nicer thing. We had to kind of be, you know, on our best behavior. And me and mom turn around and dad is hanging on to this bridge, full on stretching, like, body in the air like this. Like, knees up to his chest with his arms hanging. We're like, oh, my gosh, what is he doing?
Korie Robertson
And Bella gets says, no other dads are doing this. Why is my dad doing it?
Rebecca Robertson
Really looking around. All the other dads are in, like, nice outfits, button ups. And dad's wearing a Tim Tebow foundation shirt that says show them what's underneath on it. And then stretching in public. And me and mom were like, oh.
Willie Robertson
None of those dads are as flexible as I am either. You gotta maintain your flexibility.
Rebecca Robertson
No one is more well stretched to not do athletic things. No one.
Willie Robertson
I had a Tim Tebow shirt on. What are you talking about?
Rebecca Robertson
What are you stretching for? That's what I'm always wondering.
Willie Robertson
Just in case.
Sadie Robertson
Just in case that actually does have kind of a lot of quirks. Like, you're 0 to 100 ness of like. Okay, for instance, we were just talking about this before we started recording that there's like what? Amazon's 50 Best Gadgets. And what. How many did you order?
Willie Robertson
It wasn't Amazon's. It was on something else, but I got a few.
Sadie Robertson
Yeah, like what?
Rebecca Robertson
Oh, my other favorite is that he gets a shopping cart at Bucky. Bucky's, the gas station. And literally spends so much money at Bucky's. It's like, who spends that much money?
John Luke Robertson
Relatable.
Sadie Robertson
I do feel like this is gonna be fun, having an hour long episode, because people are gonna get to see more quirks of each person and each person's personality, which is going to be so fun. And new sides of you guys. Like, they might think that they know so much of y'all because of Dark Dynasty, but I think they're gonna see just a more real side of y'all. And especially for you, mom, because I feel like you are such, like. Like you were. You were yourself on the show, but also, like, you didn't. We didn't get to see, like, the full picture of who you are. And so whenever I tell people, like, about you, like, all the things you do, they're like, what? You're always, like, doing so much, and, like, she's such a good mom, such a good grandma, and people, like, love to learn from you so much, and I learned from you so much. You're like, truly my mentor, mom, and friend. And so I'm excited for people to get to see more of you on the show, too, and kind of what your life was.
Bella Robertson
We were literally talking about how you were just chopping fruit. Fruit and vegetable the whole time.
Korie Robertson
I was, like, always chopping vegetables. Yeah, that was my whole role in the show was chopping vegetables. Okay, what are my quirks?
Sadie Robertson
What are your. You got some quirks.
Rebecca Robertson
You, like, disappear. Like, we'll all be at dinner and all of a sudden mom would just, like, back out of the room and then, like, be in her room in bed already and we're, like, still eating dinner.
Sadie Robertson
You're an Irish admire.
Bella Robertson
Actually, me and Johnny also have discovered this. I think, like, Bella's got. Got some of her thing from you as far as, like, we can tell when you're, like, not in the mood, like, for something, you know, but she.
Rebecca Robertson
Hides it a little bit better.
Bella Robertson
But you can more gracefully because, you know, you. But we can totally tell whenever you're like, you know, this is like, something's wrong.
Korie Robertson
I can't hide my expressions.
Jep Robertson
You're like secondhand sickness and injuries, too.
Rebecca Robertson
Oh, the secondhand sickness.
Sadie Robertson
Oh, my God.
Willie Robertson
Secondhand everything.
Rebecca Robertson
You can, like, I Can be in another state and, like, hit my elbow on something and be like, oh, my gosh, my elbow is so sore. I was like, you know, it's so weird. Like, I actually, like, I'm. I'm not saying it's the same thing, but I have been having a pain in my elbow, and I'm like, that is so true.
Korie Robertson
I'm very empathetic.
Willie Robertson
My favorite mom quirk is she will go through a list. When she gets, like, get ready for bed, just say, okay, I'm gonna get some ice cream. I'm gonna brush my teeth. I'm gonna turn the tv. And it's every time she makes. She has to make the list of what she's fixing to do. And it's just she and I here. And I'm like, okay.
Sadie Robertson
And it's like this.
Willie Robertson
I got your list. Yeah, it's always the same thing.
Korie Robertson
I'm communicating. I do like, list. One time I made a list that said things to think about, and I emailed it to dad because, like, it were things that I wanted us to think about, like, together. And he made fun of me forever for my list about things. Things to think about.
Willie Robertson
Put that on the list of things.
Rebecca Robertson
Jacob made fun of me. One time we were packing, and I was riding out, like, six pants, six shirts, and Jacob was like, why are you doing that? I was like, I don't know. That's what my mom does every time she packs. She writes down everything that she has to back and then scratch it.
Korie Robertson
Y'all list. Yeah.
Sadie Robertson
That is gonna be interesting.
Willie Robertson
John looks like mom like that I.
John Luke Robertson
Do the list thing too. It. In the morning before I wake up, I'll wake up, my eyes will still close, and I'll go through. Okay. Okay, I'm gonna get up. I'm gonna go. And I go through my whole list all the way to, like, 9:00.
Sadie Robertson
I think one thing that is, like, so the hardest show is generations, like, representing generations. And I think it is really fun because we're like, as we're talking about quirks, like, oh, that comes from you. And, like, there are certainly a lot of quirks that like, Memoir K and Pebble Phil have that everyone on, even from watching the show, our just fans could say just picking up on things that Pebble Phil did. That was funny. Mimok Uncle Psy. And I think, you know, we might see some of those quirks come through you, you know, in this show as you're the grandpa and you're. You're starting to turn into your dad in certain ways and others not. But I think it'll be fun for people to see that.
Bella Robertson
Yep.
Sadie Robertson
And then I have a lot of that because a lot of your quirks are my quirks and so people are going to see that in me and then you're going to start to see it in our kids, which is just so fun to see that family dynamic. Rebecca Robertson
Which y'all probably all say it's me, but I know we've had the conversation many times of like, who's the most dramatic, who exaggerates the most. But it is a Robertson trait that everybody has. Like, we all three have it, all of us have it. And then all of your family. I know I have.
Jep Robertson
You're the most.
Rebecca Robertson
I know I got it.
Willie Robertson
You're the MLK version of the I.
Rebecca Robertson
Have it bad, but we all do. Let's be real.
Willie Robertson
Let's be real.
Korie Robertson
I do think that is one thing that we're looking forward to on this show too. Like dad specifically is like passing things down on to you guys, you know, like Mayhaw Jelly. We got to make Mayhau Jelly as a family. And that's something that Pitbull Phil always did with y'all. And we did that on the. On Duck Dynasty, things like that. Passing down traditions, like family traditions, because that's something really important to us on both sides of our family, the Robinson side and my side of the family. Like, what are those family traditions that we're going to get to pass down to you guys? And I know dad really wants to. You know, you can speak for yourself. Speak for yourself, but, like, you're going to pass on traditions.
Willie Robertson
Yeah, I hope to. I think one of the main differences, like, for myself, from Duck Dynasty to this was on Duck Dynasty, it was over 10 years ago, and it was mostly me at work. And so I was CEO and the boss. And fortunately, now I'm able to. There's other people that we've hired that do a lot of the work stuff. And so now I do have more time to be able to pass on other things that are perhaps even more important than just work and all that. But, you know, just how to live life and, you know, other traditions that we learned growing up when I was a kid, when we didn't have a big business. So, yeah, I think it'll be a different way to kind of show y'all things outside of just work. Although I still got some.
Sadie Robertson
No, people are definitely excited to see that. And I think because people have seen that on our social media, they always see you cooking for all of us. We're always taking, you know, pictures of the food that you're making. Like, it's going to be so fun to bring people into all of that and what that looks like in a bigger picture. I think, too, like, one of the questions was, we all do the dinner scene the same as you did with Duck Dynasty, and we might. We don't really know. We haven't fully jumped into all that, but one of the things we were talking about at school, we're like, we could do the dinner scene all together, or we can do the dinner scene, like, at each of our individual houses, because we've carried that tradition into our homes of, like, having dinner as family and prioritizing that. And so it's just special to see the traditions that run through and just all the family dynamics. The good, the bad, the ugly, everything in between.
Willie Robertson
So, Sadie, since you're the host of this, I have a question for you. Are you still gonna be able to do your podcast and all the other things that you do also with the responsibilities of doing a television show? I'll wait for your answer. Thank.
Sadie Robertson
Thank you. First off, great interview. Style question. I love it. You know, actually, that was something kind of like Mary Kate said the. The hesitancy was like, man, I really love what I'm doing now. I. I feel so passionate about it since Doug Dynasty's been on. You know, it's been seven. What we say seven, eight years. Eight years since the show ended. And I have really worked hard towards creating live original and one that's good podcast and all these things that I truly do feel so passionate about that I. Oh, I don't want to stop doing what I'm doing. And so what's been really cool is we've had time since we filmed the Sizzle and kind of gotten our life prepared for what this next step is going to look like to get the right pieces into place to hopefully continue to do the things that we're doing while also stepping into a show. And so, yes, I fully plan to keep doing the podcast and so excited to do the podcast alongside of the show. I feel like that would be. Bring, like, unique opportunities and things to talk about while people are watching it and continue on live Original, too, because I think it's helping a lot of girls out there. It's helped me so much in my own life just having that ministry. So, yes, I fully intend to and have an incredible team in place who's been working really hard for me to be able to step into filming and continue doing all the things.
Willie Robertson
So has your position changed on that at all? I'm sorry, I've been watching Politics. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. No, I'll leave it at that. I'll leave it there.
Sadie Robertson
Thank you for your. Thank you for your question. So we say quack, quack. We're back. We're obviously going back to tv, but people are going to be asking, where are we going back to what channel we watch now, which I think is really special, that we could say we're actually going back to A N E, which kind of feels like coming back home. And a lot of ways we're super grateful for that. And it will also be streamed on Hulu, which is so exciting. I think it's going to be really fun to do all together as a family. And we just want to say to all of the fans out there who supported Doug Dynasty and are excited about this show, thank you so much for the support that you guys have shown us. It really is because of you guys watching the show, talking about the show, keeping it alive, that's even brought us back to the opportunity of being able to step into this again and so thank you for that. For those who did not see Doug Dynasty and you're jumping in for the first time getting to know our family. We're so grateful for that and so thankful that we're going to get to show you guys some of our life and we'll get to learn together. We can't wait to meet you guys whenever we run into you at the airport or events we speak at. It really just is so special to get to to do life with a whole lot of people around the world and we're grateful that you guys welcome us into your home through your tv. So we're excited. I hope you guys are excited too. Like I said, leave some ideas for names for the show. We'll love to hear what you guys are thinking and again thank you so much for the support. We're so excited to be back.

The episode begins with Sadie expressing her enthusiasm and encouraging listeners to watch the YouTube version of the podcast for a more comprehensive experience featuring the entire family.
Sadie Robertson [00:08]: "Friends, it is about to get literally so much better."
Sadie reveals that after filming a "sizzle reel" with her family, they've decided to take the plunge and revive the show.
Sadie Robertson [02:15]: "We shot this sizzle that we mentioned on the podcast, and it was, like, two days, and everything was perfect."
The Robertson family shares their excitement about returning to television. Willie Robertson, Sadie's father, expresses his eagerness to dive back into TV production.
Willie Robertson [01:32]: "Man, I'm so excited about this. I cannot wait. I've been dying to get back in production and TV and all the fun stuff that goes along with it."
Korie Robertson, Sadie's mother, discusses the challenges and resolutions they faced in deciding to revive the show, highlighting the smooth experience of filming the sizzle reel.
Korie Robertson [02:26]: "We shot this sizzle... the weather was perfect, the sun was shining. Our kids were amazing and got along the whole two days."
John Luke Robertson and other family members delve into how the revival will differ from the original Duck Dynasty. The new show aims to present a more authentic and comprehensive portrayal of their lives, expanding beyond the narrow focus of the original series.
John Luke Robertson [05:11]: "I think it's going to be different because we're different... It's naturally going to feel different... a little more authentic."
They emphasize that the revival will have longer episodes, allowing for deeper exploration of personalities and relationships.
John Luke Robertson [12:10]: "Duck Dynasty was really funny, and we'll have those funny elements... but there's also a lot of serious things and other moments."
The Robertson family takes time to discuss the unique dynamics and personalities that each member brings to the show. They engage in a playful segment where they identify each other's quirks, fostering a lighthearted and relatable atmosphere.
Sadie Robertson [26:27]: "You're going to see yourself in one of us."
They explore how different personalities will contribute to the show's charm, making it appealing to a broad audience.
Sadie Robertson [37:56]: "People are going to see themselves related to one of us or the situation."
A significant portion of the discussion centers around the quirky traits and family traditions that will be highlighted in the revival. The family members share amusing anecdotes and predictable behaviors that add depth and humor to their interactions.
Sadie Robertson [30:01]: "Bella doesn't sugarcoat anything... very honest."
Willie Robertson [36:31]: "I get a shopping cart at Bucky's, spends so much money there. Who does that?"
They also touch upon the importance of passing down traditions, such as making Mayhaw Jelly, which Willie hopes to continue through the new show.
Korie Robertson [43:02]: "Passing down traditions, like family traditions, because that's something really important to us."
Sadie addresses concerns about managing multiple responsibilities, including hosting her podcast and running Live Original. She assures listeners of her commitment to balancing these roles alongside the new television responsibilities.
Sadie Robertson [45:07]: "I fully intend to keep doing the podcast and so excited to do the podcast alongside of the show."
The episode concludes with heartfelt gratitude towards fans who have supported Duck Dynasty over the years. Sadie emphasizes the meaningful impact the show has had on families and expresses excitement about rekindling that connection through the revival.
Sadie Robertson [46:46]: "Thank you so much for the support... we're excited to be back."
Korie Robertson [34:37]: "They were like, this is the only show my husband and I can agree on. It was a bonding moment for them."
Sadie wraps up the episode by inviting listeners to share their ideas for the new show's title and reiterates the family's enthusiasm for the upcoming journey.
