Welcome to Field Notes! A small mini edition of Wildly Tarot where we explore astrology and tarot using the Decans!

You all are well acquainted with Stella and this collaboration/interview is my favorite yet! I absolutely adored reading their book "Read Like a Queen" and this post-publishing interview gives even more insight into all of my favorite things in the book and getting to fan-they/them mayhem with Stella. Stella is going through a creative burst, so get readings and coaching sessions from them while they have openings! You can find them at their website o

In this Creator's Corner, Ettie sits down with Lori Lytle, Author of "Talismans & Tarot" to interview Lori about her practice and her book and all of the love and intentionality she infused in her book. It was such an honor having Lori on this episode to discuss the book itself, it's creation process, and how practically talismans have made a difference in her own practice. You can follow Lori on Instagram or find her on her website, Inner Goddess Tarot. Also check out her Universal Consciousness Tarot while you're purchasing her book!

In this quick review, Ettie talks about Talismans & Tarot by Lori Lytle . This charming book (no pun intended) integrates the use of tarot with the creation of personal magical objects to enhance one's intentions in their magical practice. Talismans & Tarot not only provides substantial resource for all 78 cards, but serves as a guidebook for creating a talisman from start to finish with thoughtful ritual suggestions, consecration and working with them. This book was provided by Weiser Books, but the review and thoughts contained in it are honest. Hang out with Ettie every Thursday and Saturday evening on Twitch to talk tarot and play games with tarot; Locally check out their classes at The Chattery teaching tarot classes in October!

This week on Wildly Tarot, Emily guests hosts with Ettie. They talk about how Emily got into Tarot through the knitting pattern Reliquary and the two of them geek out over their similar background and hobbies that include D&D, Smut, and how ACAB Brennan Lee Mulligan is in Dimension 20 Question of the week is What are your desert island decks, ones you would bring and ones you would burn? Emily and Ettie have opinions so join us on discord to discuss what decks you would bring to the island and which you would toss into the fire. Also join the discord to see the infamous 'butt plug' cover for the Archetypes Deck Ettie mentioned when diving deep into Kim Krans lore. The deck of the week is the Le Tarot aux ramures étranges or 'The Tarot of the Strange Branches' or 'The Tarot of the Strange Antlers'. From research, this French deck can be found on Amazon but if you have a local tarot store, see if they can order it for you to purchase from them! This absolutely magical deck is alluring, charming and yet elusive with its artistry challenging readers to think outside the Rider Waite Smith norms and explore the mystical fae-esque world created by Rouxalis. Don't forget to support Emily by following them on Instagram and going to your local library during the month of September. Watch Ettie every Thursday and Saturday evening on Twitch and locally, at The Chattery teaching tarot classes in September and October!

In this episode, Ettie is excited to share the contents of the most recent patreon solstice box that was sent out in June, highlighting the curated items they gathered for their bee themed box. Special Thanks to Portland Bee Balm, Mimic Gaming Company, A Nature Unknown, and Little Darkness for making some of the amazing products in the summer solstice box. The deck review of the episode covers the second edition of the staggering 84 card deck, The Outdoors Oracle. This deck includes a 6-sided merit die, topo map, and a 220 page guidebook a perfect oracle for avid outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. This deck is so extremely thoughtful in its execution, but there are a few trigger warnings as some of the cards do allude to hunting, poaching, and other forms of violence. These things are not graphically depicted in images, but they are mentioned in meanings for some of the cards so please take care listening.

Happy Summer Solstice, and to celebrate the longest day of sunshine Ettie sits down with Shannon Christie, artist and creator of Sun-Steeped Oracle, a golden hour infused affirmation deck. I am so thrilled that my favorite drag artist, Stella Boheme, has joined me again to release an early sneak peak and discussion about their upcoming book Read Like a Queen : Real-Life Insights to SLAY Your Tarot Practice ! Stella, a long time Wildling, has given we Wildlings the first chance to pre-order their book! I've linked to Red Feather's page directly as many people are boycotting Amazon and other box shops at this time. I mentioned it in the podcast, but please pre-order if you are able! Pre-order numbers matter a lot to publishers so showing up to support one of our own would honestly be so amazing. I do want to apologize to Stella for the quality of this recording. We had every intention to release a video episode and they got all glammed up just for technical problems to complicate things so the video portion of things and my audio (as you'll be able to tell) were victims of Mercury in the Gatorade again. [Side Note: Thankfully now I have an alternative so this won't happen again] So all of that to say, I hope you all enjoy listening to this episode as much as we had fun recording it and getting the first peek into how to read like a drag queen which I am already certain just from the snippets I've been privy to will absolutely be one of the books that goes on my beginner readers list. Also while you're here, Book Stella for a reading on their website and go follow them on Instagram to take a break from the doom scrolling.
