You tried. You really, really tried. But sooner or later, you just gotta face the facts. It's not gonna get done unless you get it done. So you just. You gotta do it. You're just gonna have to update the star charts yourself. It's. It's been too long. Someone has to do it. And I guess that's someone is you. Just like the engine calibrations and the life support reset and the comms panel maintenance, which really feels like it should have. Hey, Hira, what's this program that's running on the nav terminal computer? Hira. Oh, right, sorry, forgot you're rebooting your vocal program right now. Sorry, I'll just. I'll just deal with it. My. Let's see. Local resources rerouted to deep space RSS feed acquisition program. Uh huh. Currently taking up 82% of the station's power. Well, that explains why I haven't been able to get any hot water this week. Okay, electricity reroute. Authorized by station user radiocoolcat88. Dammit, Eiffel. All right, what was he trying to do that was so. Oh, he was trying to listen to something. Looks like a fiction podcast called the Harbingers. It's the new series by some guy called Gabriel Urbina. He sounds sketchy and audacious. Machine creative. The folks behind a Midwestern gothic mystery. It tells the story of Adam Blackwell and Amy Sterling, the first two people in the modern world to discover how to do real magic. Which immediately makes them the two most famous people in the planet. Which would be tough enough if the two of them didn't used to date when they were back in grad school together. Oh, man. Been there. Equal parts political thriller, modern fantasy adventure, and intimate personal drama. Oh, that does sound like fun. The Harbingers is now available. Well, maybe I could listen to an episode before I. No, no, focus, Renee. We're going to update these star charts if it. Oh, wait, there's another show here. It looks like Eiffel was also listening to Pods the Thing, a new Shakespeare podcast created by actors that gives its audience a glimpse behind the curtain into the process of working Shakespeare's plays. Okay. Each episode is part conversation and part performance, as the show's hosts and a rotating panel of guests go through one Shakespeare scene at a time, talking through the language, the historical context, and their experience with the play. Okay, this sounds like a great time. Though I would prefer a Sondheim podcast featuring wooden overcoats, Beth Ayer and Felix Trench, classically trained actor Calder Schilling and Emma Shurzharko Why does that name sound so familiar anyway? As well as other actors, directors, scholars and Shakespeare enthusiasts from around the globe. Ah, damn it all to hell. One episode and then I'll update the star charts. Listen to the Harbingers, the new show by Gabriel Urbina and Audacious Machine Creative. New episodes release every two weeks on Thursdays. And listen to Pods the Thing, the new podcast by Emma Shirjarko, Beth Ayer and Felix Trench. New episodes release every two weeks on Wednesdays. Find both wherever quality podcasts are found.

This Wolf 359 mini-episode (styled as a Minkowski "announcement log") is a playful, meta detour from the show's usual science-fiction narrative. Chief Minkowski, beleaguered as always, discovers her crewmate Doug Eiffel's attempt to hijack the station's resources in pursuit of new fiction and arts podcasts: Gabriel Urbina’s "The Harbingers" and "Pod's the Thing." As the episode unfolds, listeners are treated to Minkowski’s thoughts on these series, her banter with the ship's AI (Hera), and a perfect slice of the show’s trademark dry wit and existential exasperation.
