So as I said, we heard about you through Nadia Quinn. And I don't know how you know Nadia, who came on Nadia.

She booked with me. She found me on either YouTube where I've been posting for about, I don't know, 13 years. Since 2013, I've had an astrology and tarot channel. I think she found me there. And if not, she was referring because that's the only way people can get to me. Well, YouTube is a big. Is a big way. But yeah, she was either those two ways. But we read recently and she was such a great energy and I guess she liked. She liked it to pass. Pass it on.

Well, we're excited to talk to you and have our listeners hear all about your skills, if I may call them that. But I guess my first question is, first of all, you said you're a medium, which I'm always fascinated by. But also you also know all this about astrology and tarot. And I'm kind of wondering, how did you first get into this? What was your first experience? Were you woo woo from way back? I mean, oftentimes when we hear about a medium, they had some experience as a child or how did you come into this field of woo woo?

[Audrey Allison]

I was privately woo woo. I was born and raised Catholic, Christian, and in a family that was Christian. And I, as an only child, felt very connected to anything outside of regular people, animals, nature, and talking a lot to the outside world. And didn't really identify as any of this until I was much older. I thought it was quite common for people to feel or hear things. I really didn't think that what I could hear or feel was necessarily special by any means. So it's a few things that, that I've received. Like clairsentience is the ability to feel things without knowing why you feel them. Clair audience is hearing things, words, names, without really knowing where they're coming from in your head, whether it's your V or just what you think is your. Is your thoughts. But I was generally getting these messages at a young age that I would know what neighbors would come over before they would come on, knock on the door. I'd tell my mother, like, at seven. Oh, I think our neighbor's gonna visit for something. Needing to borrow something and that would happen. Or songs coming on the radio. That was another thing. Always knew what was going to come on next and just thought, this is common if you tap into it, but it's not necessarily that common. And when my father passed at the age of 19, that's when a lot opened up for me. And he passed in this house that I'm sitting in. And at the age of 19, I saw him, in the sober light of day, come through my bedroom window as if he were walking through the wall. And it was very emotional and very real. And we had this game when he was alive, of. He would touch my toe, like, got you last. And run out of the bedroom when I was younger. And it would aggravate me. So I'd have to follow him to his room, touch his toe and leave and go back to my room. Well, sure enough, my big toe would start moving on its own. I can't do that thing where you separate your toes. I don't know what that's about. But my toes would move up and down and side to side. So I established a communication system with him and said aloud, you know, yes will be up and down. No is side to side. And throughout my entire life, I've used this. I've also used it with my hand in bed, up and down, side to side. It works. It's unbelievable. It will scare the hell out of you initially, but I got very used to it because I was frantic without my father. I wanted to communicate so badly. That's also why I got into the tarot and realized I got a knack for this shit, you know, Am I talking too much?

I just. I mean, I could do this for hours, but this is when I really feel. Felt compelled to use this, but to also, you know, not end up in a psych ward. So I was like, what am I going to do with this? I went to college, I did my thing, but I was always privately practicing connection with him. And using the tarot really helped me tell stories in life and put things together, start figuring out things I didn't realize about him growing up and his life. And it's. It's made me want to use it to help others because I know it's real and this is just what I've been drawn to do. I never really wanted to do anything except be creative and this felt like it's something I should tap into.

So when did you first do this for someone else? Was it like sitting around in college or was it long after?

[Audrey Allison]

Okay. So I remember specifically being at Fred 62, which is a diner in LA. Yes. You heard of it?

I was having a toad in the hole and I was about to go to work. I used to work at ABC Studios in Burbank in the admin finance department.

Hated it.

[Audrey Allison]

Just was doing it for the benefits. Needed stability. I was in a band at night. I just wanted to do all sorts of shit.

Yeah.

[Audrey Allison]

I said, I don't want to go into this job today. I was reading my horoscope book, finished breakfast, and I called out sick and then realized I need to write my letter of resignation. I need to do what I love. I could write horoscopes. I interpret the stars. I've always been fascinated by that kind of world. So I signed up for an astrological course at the American Federation of Astrologers Online and just went for it. I was 40 when I made this a business.

Wow.

[Audrey Allison]

But I would do porch readings in Glendale and Hollywood for like 20 bucks cash in a guest house I used to live in. But I've been paying taxes since 2013 on this thing. So. Yeah, it's just kind of. It happened. It being uncomfortable in a. In a. In a work environment will. Will get you creative. And I took a risk.

Pushed you.

[Audrey Allison]

It did. Because I was very uncomfortable. And I felt like I was a part of something that was just not authentic to who I was. This part of me isn't something I've always been easily able to talk about. It's kept me single. It's a thing. It's not the easiest profession to claim, but I own it now. In my 50s, I'm like, this is it, baby. This is who I am. And I feel my witchiness now more than ever.

What's going on?

[Irene Brevis (alternate mic or co-host)]

Yes.

[Audrey Allison]

And now I'm just Talking to so many people globally because of zoom, you know, and technology. So this is huge. I just love connecting. And I feel like whatever job I was in, hair salons to administrative assistance, I was always in the central hub of connection, like as a conduit from the higher ups to the minions. And being in the middle or this medium, I feel like I'm a messenger in between in this job, too, of getting data naturally. Usually it scrolls here like a. Like a ticker tape messaging, like a teleprompter.

[Irene Brevis (alternate mic or co-host)]

Like we've heard that before.

[Audrey Allison]

Yes, that's perfect, because that's a better explanation of it. It just scrolls across. Sometimes I'll catch the names, sometimes I won't. But it's something that I've always been in the middle of interpretation, of taking data and interpreting it and giving it to someone else. So that's what I feel like this job has ultimately led me to do, is be in the middle and get to do what I love as a messenger, but a positive one. I'm not trying to be like a doomsday predictor.

Do you use this? I'm fascinated with the foot and toe, right and left. I'm not going to lie. I'm ready to take off your sock. Disrobe. And we have questions, but we'll save that for the end. I wonder, do you use that method? Do you use that method for your everyday. Because Rachel and I hit the pendulum when we're uncertain about things or we're feeling a little dubious. Do you use that on a regular to help you guide you through important decisions?

[Audrey Allison]

I have used astrology in my life every month since I was about 21. Wow. And I'm 53. And I've used these guys, the tarot, every single day. I have this deck in my hand. It's a part of me. It's. I use it all the time, just for my family members, my clients. I'm on the phone every day. But this I will turn to in my own life because I feel like I have a relationship with this as a commitment that if you give me data, I'll serve you. And there's no retirement plan. I do this until the vessel gives up. And this is just what I'm going to do. I'm going to commit to this. And you be good to me. I'll be good to you. And I really feel like you grow with what your abilities are. You're not just the same level of frequency of. Of mediumship at the age of seven as you are. As you grow, it really does develop. It takes commitment. And I always say it's. It's really not a hobby. It's a way of life. It is truly like a. A witchy world that you can live. When you go into this stuff, which I love. I've always been into the. The metaphysical and, like you said, Penji. I can't wait to meet her. I can't wait. I've been prepping my question all week. I'm like, what are we going to get to? Because usually I give the readings and this is amazing to be on the other end of reception. So, yes, I can't wait for mediumship.

[Irene Brevis]

Are you ever sort of in a room and something like, you're. If someone isn't signed up and, like, I want a reading. Do things ever come to you when you're standing in line at the grocery store or whatever? Like, about the cashier and stuff like that? Like, does that happen?

[Audrey Allison]

Yes. And often. However, I have never been a Teresa Caputo where I'm like, excuse me, I don't want to interrupt. I have. That's not my style. I would never. But, yeah. In fact, one of my earliest premonitions I remember is my father was a big Cheers fan. He loved Ted Danson and Coach on Cheers. And I remember watching it with him just because I love to hear him laugh. And I said to him, dad, Coach doesn't really look good to me. I think he's on his way out. And he died that week. And my dad was like, pumpkin, how the hell did you know that? I was like, it was in his vibe. It was in his coloring. It was in. It's the coloring for me, too. And not everyone can see it, but, yeah, that was one of the first. And I don't know what year that was, but I think it was the 80s. Early 80s. Yeah. Stuff like that. So I will get vibes in the grocery store and. And, you know, they're not pleasant a lot of the time. It's like creepy type stuff, you know?

[Irene Brevis]

Now that leads to, like, I. Medium is about the other side, but in terms of just like, psychic vibes on a person without it being about a departed loved one or, like, do you get that, too? Like, do you. Is it kind of like full service?

[Audrey Allison]

I'm a gambler, and I like playing poker and blackjack because I get vibes.

Yeah.

Like, it's in people's energies. If I'm in a room, like my high school reunion, that was a blast. I could just tell by their demeanor what's really going on. How they speak. It's basically an all inclusive type of clair sentience Cognizance, Claire. Cognizance is actually it the knowing of things without knowing at all why or how you know them. But it's a certainty to me. I always feel like there's a click inside when something goes, oh, that's it. And I'll download their entire life story real quick. Or something going on with a relative or that guy's really insecure. There's he's giving mommy issue. So I'm going to raise this hand right now with my queens. And just things like that, like you can, I can feel it, I can place it. It's a knowingness and I don't know why, but it's been here for me. Yeah.

And is it also about people's futures, like that kind of thing? Or is it mainly about who they are?

[Audrey Allison]

When I look at an astrological chart, I can really get a sense of timing and what areas of your life will heat up or not. Astrology is actually the best tool for knowledge in my opinion, over mediumship because there's a lot of accuracy to the timing, when you can strategize in areas that will work for you at certain times and when to back off. I think astrology is the perfect tool for a guide rather than just trusting your own instinct at times. Because personally I can be biased with myself, which is why I really don't give myself as many readings. But I look at my astrology a lot.

Makes sense.

Yeah, yeah.

We do the same thing with Penji. We don't like to ask questions that we could somehow, you know, affect the answer or impact the answer.

Like my interpretation is maybe what I want to have happen to me instead of what would naturally come if I. If I start reading myself too much. But I like to look into the cards to read others like in my family, whether they know it or not.

And when it's on, it's on.

Do you ever, like when. When you see mediums doing a big group thing, which sometimes I don't know if that's like, real or not or what your thought is on that, but I guess, like, in those things, they often pick out a specific thing, like, who here has baked bread? I have always been shocked at how mediums do this with more than one person at a time. I don't do group readings unless I do bachelorette parties and I take them into another room. It's very personal. Because if you're gonna hear. If you're gonna hear a letter. What always got me. You'd hear the name. I don't get initials. I just hear the whole name.

How do you hone in on someone in a group? I, I, I've never been on a stage doing this for people. You know, it's, it's not like I'm gonna pick someone out of the crowd. I really have to connect with the chart. And, you know, it's about the chart and these guys.

Yes, I understand that. I agree. And I've had clients call me with someone in the room and say, oh, she's going to ask questions too. And I said, unfortunately, no, because I need to know who I'm talking to. I'm not gonna be like, who's this for? And then, who's that for? And, yeah, it's a little bit like a circus act when you do it like that.

And do you start, let's say I came into. No, of your office. I meant like a zoom, whatever. But, like, do you start with the cards or the astrology? Or do you just start with, like, getting a message from someone? How does that work in the order of things? Or is it all kind of. You got everything going at once. How does, how does that work?

A couple plates spinning. I will have the chart prepared a couple of days before. Definitely get to know them that way. And I'll always be shuffling while I'm there, because if they have an immediate question that is more of a yes or no vibe, like Penji would do, I'll look right to the tarot. But I love having dates prepared for them prior to the session. Regarding whether it's buying a home. When's a good time to sell your property? When is a good time to consider leveling up in career?

So getting that information prior to the client is probably most important thing you could do because then you really have options for them in life. Go over the whole spectrum. Relationship, family, career, their children. There's so many categories to the chart. I can look at one and see different things the next time we read each other. Because transits, transits, they happen, they change. And yeah, there's times to shift, there's times to be open to new things and times to keep what you have and stay the course. And astrology is really good to tap into that.

I do tend to see him and my stepfather who also passed here. And when I am in New Orleans, the French Quarter, I see dead people like you would not imagine. They're everywhere. And if you have any type of ability, eclair, you will find them there. And I'm sure there's other locations that I haven't been to where that energy exists. But that is one of the places where you could just see spirit, dark figures walking around that aren't real bodies. I even have photos of that from that place. They're just like walking right. So this is what I've interpreted through my own messaging as a medium of how this works. When people pass, they leave the body, there is an energy that is alive within us, our source, but the body is the vessel. But in the transitioning part of leaving the body, the soul can be encapsulated in a small object. Birds, a butterfly, something that can. It can use it to inhabit and just keep moving on. It's not that serious. And when my grandfather passed, it usually has a lot to do with death. I. I experienced it at a young age and kind of was drawn to what. What happens afterwards. What do you mean? You know, let's talk. When my grandfather passed, a moth, just a white moth, landed on his little headstone. Immediately, I was only 13, and I said, that's pop. That's pop. I know it is. It's his body in there. And then it took off. But it felt like I just knew that's what. How this works. And through readings and life as I've grown, there is an orientation phase when the soul leaves the body to go to the astral plane, which is the dimension above us. All of this data is like, oh, yeah, of course this happens. And I'm like, okay, like, I'll write it down. But I just feel like there's been some form of an explanation that signs come through animals, small, but that's not. The body isn't stuck or the soul isn't stuck in those things. It just communicates through it and moves on. Like, people see red cardinals, lots of bright colored birds. At the moment they're thinking of their loved one. I do take that as a sign. It might be hopeful, wishful thinking, but I really do feel like the universe speaks to us. It's conspired to give us information.
