Welcome to Woo Woo with Rachel Dratch, the podcast that explores the unexplained with humor and curiosity. Hello and welcome to Woo Woo with
Irene Bremis
Rachel Dratch, here with Irene Bremis. Hi, Irene.
Hi, sweetie.
Hi, Irene. Today we're, we're doing a deep dive on Woo Woo today. You know, sometimes we have a actor on who talks about a brief woo experience, but today we have a real Woo Woo guest and we're very excited. We first heard about our guest because we interviewed Jessica Gross, a journalist, and she had gone to the International association for Near Death Studies conference and she had an article in the New York Times. And that's how we first heard about our guest today who's gonna tell us all about. First of all, had her own near death experience and then is just very versed in the near death world, I would say. So please welcome Ellen Ware to the show. Hi, Ellen.
Ellen Ware
Hi. Thank you for having me.
Irene Bremis
Thanks for being here. We're very excited to take this deep dive. So why don't you start by telling. I know you have a podcast and a, a TV show and a book and all that stuff. So just like tell the listeners who you are and what are you up to and then we'll get into your story. Story.
Ellen Ware
Oh, okay. Well, my name's Ellen Ware. I. I'm. My whole story started when I was kicked in the head by a horse when I was 12. And that's the story that Jessica talked about on your podcast. And all my friends, you know, reached out, they said they're talking about you. So I was kicked in the head by a horse. I was in a coma for a week. And I came out of a coma to music and became a music therapist. And I used sound, vibration, frequency and consciousness work, like out of body experiences and things like that to bring that wisdom back to the world. I do have a book called Waking up in Heaven, Living With Purpose Through Afterlife Wisdom, where people can kind of dive into the whole story and how my work can affect them. And then I was on a. I have a TV show called Life After Life with Ellen on the Spark Network, Jack Osborne's new network that just launched. And I have seven episodes where I interview different near death experiencers and we find the commonalities in our stories. And my first interviewee is actually Jack Canfield, who wrote the Chicken Soup for the Soul books. And he's a mentor and a client and a friend of mine. So that's kind of what launches the show. You can watch that free. And I was also in a movie called beyond the Grave a few years ago. It won the best paranormal documentary at the Cannes Film Festival in that year. So I'm very proud to be part of that project. As well. And I love sharing my story, so here I am.
Rachel Dratch
Yay.
Irene Bremis
Well, thank you for joining us. We're really excited. Honestly, like, even though I just said that, like, we've had, like, I have a lot of actor friends, so they all rope them in to, you know, say, well, you ever hear a noise in your house? You know, like, try to like, tease out some woo? But whenever we have a real, you know, I don't know, in the world of woo woo guests, we're excited for it. So first of all, so do you want to tell us about, you know, the incident and what happened coming out of it? Because I know you said you came out with music and now as your career, I guess, but when you were 12, like, what was happening when you were 12?
Ellen Ware
I mean, I'm about as woo woo as you get. My entire life was built on this experience because I don't remember anything before. But yeah, I'd love to share it. That's. That's what I do. And I think I came back here to share this because I think it's less about what happens after we die and more about how do we fully live. And my experience is I was kicked in the temple, the right temple, by a horse. The cinch slipped. I was riding, kicked in the head, taken to a local hospital, then taken to a bigger hospital that had a neurological team in, in the Dallas Waco area. And when I was there, they told my parents to play things at my bedside and maybe play old movies and things like that. And that comes in with the story, the full circle moment of it. So they would play Disney movies and they would play, you know, old movies, whatever, home movies and things like that. But on this particular day, I was on a raft of sorts. I was not in my body. I was on the other side. It was kind of a wooden raft and Jesus was in front of me. And there was a man in long brown robes with bare feet on the left of me. And I felt so safe. There were pink clouds everywhere. It wasn't the typical tunnel of light. Right. I was lifted out of that because that was. I came back there later, but I was lifted up that into this light realm. It was very bright with beautiful music and all these different colored streams and trees and things like that. And I just was transfixed by the music. I was so engrossed in this place. I could have been there for lifetimes, really. And then after that was the heart of my near death experience. I was taken into the golden realm, the golden light. Now this I cry Every time. Because this was more real to me than anything we experience right now. It's more real in this moment than this moment. It was full. There was a fullness, there was a weight to it. It was all love, unconditional. No name, no one way, no words, no consciousness, no thinking, no explaining. You didn't need to know everything because everything was known, expansive beyond belief. And I just became this light. I just, my entire soul body just spread out and became this love and this light. And it was the most profoundly beautiful, connected whole experience of my existence. And then I found myself back on the raft and Jesus was communicating with me through his mind. And I just got one question. Would you like to stay in this place or would you like to live? And I remember wanting to stay because at first I just felt so whole. But then I was given all these downloads of information. Why we're here now, why everyone has a purpose that what we think we create, that most of what we think about on this planet doesn't matter anyway and takes us away from our light. That I've shown. The trajectory of my family's life, I was shown. Even things like that my grandmother would pass, you know, when I came back. And things that just lifetimes and lifetimes of wisdom just flow, flooded through me. And I remember making the soul choice, like my soul chose to live. And in that choice I was flooded with human feeling. I was like, I get to live. It's a gift. Not everybody gets this, right? Like, not everybody gets to come back and do that. Not every soul gets this experience. And so then I made a vow. I will come back. I will heal people with music. That my 12 year old soul like, but my much older soul, right, was like, I will heal people with music. And then the biggest vow, and I still come back to it, is that I vowed to come back and give gratitude for every experience on this planet. Because I know that everything is an opportunity to become closer to that light, that love. And this is the miracle part. And this is where it comes full circle. After making that vow, I went into this kind of womb, like dark and space. It was, it wasn't scary, it was. It was just open. And I saw this staff of music, notes like notes moving along, a staff all different colors. I didn't hear anything at that point, but I saw the music and I just watched it completely transfixed. It went from being like far off in the distance of this void or this place and then went full on through me. And then I heard this little pinprick of sound. This tiny pin prick in the distance. And I heard music. I barely heard it, but I heard it. And I focused so hard on that music, brought it full into my head until all I could do to escape the sound, because it was so loud, was force my eyes open. And I was in the ICU of this Waco hospital. And I had woken up. And my entire life now everything that I do is to reconnect to that consciousness, help people connect to that consciousness directly, to use music and sound to get there. Everything I do matches that. It's just. That's my story. And then I woke up and they had been playing music from a Disney movie that was predominantly, you know, classical music. It was. It was classical music. So now I use classical music to take people out of body. And I will tell you who that person was on my left. When I chose to go to grad school, I chose to go to a Buddhist university in Boulder called Naropa.
Irene Bremis
Oh, I know Naropa. Yeah.
Ellen Ware
And it was Buddha. Yeah. So I realized when I was at Naropa that the other figure there was Buddha. And so my near death experience was my why and is my why. And what I learned about consciousness and presence and contemplative practices and breath is my how. So that came from my training at Naropa, which was magic. And I'm so glad you know about it.
Irene Bremis
You know why? Because my therapist went to Naropa. She's like a Buddhist trained therapist. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. Wait, so now I have so many questions. I'm wondering, like, okay, so you come out and you're 12, right? And now you're telling this story as an adult, but as a 12 year old, how did you. Was. Was everything as fully formed in your 12 year old brain as it is now, or how did you manage this experience as a child?
Ellen Ware
Well, as a typical near death experiencer, it takes years and years to integrate this stuff. I came back and my brain just wasn't working. I couldn't. Like this conversation would have been happening so fast for me that I wouldn't have understood it. So instead of going into the conscious exploration and understanding of what happened to me, I was downloading information from the other side. And so I would give that to my friends. And I was of course, dealing with a brain injury. So I went through this whole blunt period of just saying things without filters and, you know, then finally having empathy come, all the neurological stuff. And I talk about that in my book, like how unusual it was for me, but it was also training my My psychic and training and intuition abilities.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Wow.
Irene Bremis
So when you came out as a kid, did you remember all this stuff like right away or did it come to you, it was like fully in your mind when you came out?
Ellen Ware
Yeah, it was more real than life because I'd forgotten. I didn't have any memories when I came back. I just had my near death experience.
Irene Bremis
And did you have anyone to talk about this with or was it all within you? Like did you tell your parents or whoever was around you that you'd had this experience or how did that all go?
Ellen Ware
I told my youth minister and I got really involved in the church at that time and I told close friends and family. But I found out really quickly that in a small town in Texas it wasn't going to really be held in the same way. And I, I didn't publicly talk about it till I was in my 30s.
Irene Bremis
Wow. You know, it's such a shame because I believe that pastors that you know, they preach about Jesus and when somebody addresses or shares a near death experience, they, they say that it's Satan. Likely Satan. Like it's so weird. There's such a stark contradiction which is so, you know, sad. I don't know if you ever heard of the case of the girl that came back from a near death experience and started painting Jesus. Have you ever heard of that story? It's a very famous story and they referen referenced it in Heaven is for Real.
Ellen Ware
Amazing. And the people come back and we want to reconnect to the other side. We want to find a way to get there again. And for me it's through music and for her it's through art. And that's beautiful. And I believe that there are codes and information honestly that come through experiencers when they express their story, when they express their art, their music, when they take people through the process, when they stay in the energy of what they brought back, I really believe it's transmitting energy to this planet.

When you were in this coma, I guess like was your memory just being in this place like that was. That's all you remember from it? Did it feel like time existed or was it just you were there in a timeless?
Ellen Ware
There's. That's a great question. It felt like lifetimes. It was timeless. I mean it was so much information at one time to be held and experienced. It's not something that could even come into the human body in my mind. So I have to access it in bits. So I go into like meditations or I'm sitting with a client. They go deep into an altered state because I'm using crystal singing bowls that are very similar frequency that creates a third tone in the brain. You hear one tone in one ear and one tone in the other, and a third tone in the brain. That's what binaural beats are. It's an internal. It's an internal frequency. That frequency allows people to go into theta state, gamma states, sometimes even deep healing states. And when they go there, I can help get them out of their body and move into the classical music. And that's when like they go into this timeless space. They meet with loved ones past or angels or they meet with their higher self, really, because it's their self that's doing it, not me. I'm teaching people. You are the highest guru. Let's get you out of your story. Let's get you out of your head and into this consciousness, this expansion. You can receive the message yourself. And they come back and their lives are changed within days. Like, they're like, I see synchronicities. I'm having dreams, I'm having messages. They might have special gifts that come through. So for me, I'm just helping to teach people how to access it themselves. Right.
Irene Bremis
Wow.
Rachel Dratch
Okay.
Irene Bremis
I wondering. So, okay, you're a kid and you have this music connection. And then how did you go, you know, as you got older, like, the practical connection between what you gathered on this other side and the music connection, like, yeah, where did that whole thing go? And then I also want to know about the music as this, like, pathway to this other consciousness too. Like, how that all came about.
Ellen Ware
This is fascinating to me. Okay, so I don't know if you've done a deep dive into the GATE program from back in middle school. Remember, people were identified with, like, academic skills for the gate program, and they were, like, special, and they had a special class and they'd go, and we'd put in these headphones and it'd be like. And. And then it takes you. You have to look at cards and try to tell people, like, what's on the other side of the card without looking at it.
Irene Bremis
So they. Oh, no, we didn't have this in Massachusetts.
No, we did not, sweetie.
Ellen Ware
So, okay, so the GATE program was a nationwide thing, and people are coming out now. There's been some declassified stuff. Apparently that's saying that they were looking for kids with special abilities. Right.
Irene Bremis
So, like, stranger things kind of thing.
Yeah, yeah.
Ellen Ware
So basically. And it was a feeder program into some military stuff. So people. People will come out now. They'll be like, I was identified through the gate program, and now I can feel the energy of mechanics and the. You know, and then I can do this and I can do that. So I was placed in the gate program before my near death experience. Right. Whoa, whoa. So it's all coming full circle, right? So I was. I don't remember it, but after I started doing my work, I had these downloads. You're asking me, like, how did I go from a kid to go to what I'm doing now? First of all, it was the vowel on the other side. Second of all, it was the gate program. I was kept in the GATE program after my near death experience. So we put on these headphones. We would learn how to use altered states of consciousness. We would learn this stuff, right? Okay, fast forward to Naropa when, you know, I had done my undergrad in performance. And then now I want to go to Naropa. I want to learn music therapy. I want to learn spiritual psychology, transformational transpersonal psychology. Take people out of body, right? Okay. Then I learned this process using music as a music therapist, where I can use classical music to take people out of their body. And they go through this like movie a journey in their head where they're like, you know, they're in one scene and they get information or they meet with someone, then they go to another. That's when it started to come together. And then I found the crystal bowls. And then I remembered, let's do a download of light. And then I'm remembering, let's tone with the voice, because I learned that in school. So I developed this process that takes people through each step of the of resonating the body so that you can expand into higher consciousness, you can leave your mind. And then I go back like three years ago and I find this declassified CIA document called the Gateway Project. Okay, the Gateway Project, where they studied altered levels of consciousness and how people could leave the brain. They could do remote viewing, they could do astral projecting. The government was studying this in the 70s through the 90s, right? So I look at this and I get to the page about frequency and they're like, oh, Kundalini yoga. It takes 10 years to get to this state. You know, meditation, 10 years, 20 years. But in this one page, I was like, that's exactly what I do. It's like, you let people put their stuff outside of their body, put it in a box. You resonate with Toning. You bring this, and then I bring in the singing bowls, right? As my modality. And I'm like, how in the world did I know that to do this? Like, it was downloaded to me. And I talk about in my book, this is when I got this, and this is when I heard the bulls. And this is, you know, and then now I'm looking back, I'm like, it's the entire process of the Gateway Project. The Monroe Institute studies this. And I've studied the Monroe Institute work as well. And even in my own struggles in my life, which I've been through many, they take me deeper into this consciousness work where, oh, I'm accessing God divine my highest self, My I am through this Work that I developed for others, that I wanted to learn how to do for myself. Right.
Irene Bremis
So, wow.
Ellen Ware
Right.
Irene Bremis
You kind of got this Download as
Rachel Dratch
a 12 year old and then you
Irene Bremis
find like, oh, this exists somewhere. And you received it from these.
Ellen Ware
I received it bit by bit through. Through mystical synchronistic experiences in my life that kept me on track with my vow that I made on the other side.
Irene Bremis
Wow.
Ellen Ware
Now because I'm fascinated with how does this friggin work, right. I've gone back and been like, studied consciousness, studying science, looking into quantum science, which is amazing. I would have done that, I would have done that if I knew that was what it is. Which is basically the study of mysticism, spirituality, like and everything, you know. So now looking back, I had the wisdom and the knowledge to say, oh, I get it.
Irene Bremis
Wow. You know, the binaural beats that you brought up, it makes sense now that when they're trying to. When there's subliminal messaging, when you're going under deep hypnosis, they include the binaural beats. And now I know why and what it means, you know, and so your mind, I guess you just is open and you can tap into a higher consciousness with those. Right, okay.
Ellen Ware
And when it makes sense. So when it's on earphones and you listen in the computer, if someone has recorded it correctly, which many people don't. Right. But if they have, then you hear one tone in one ear and one in the other. And then this third tone in the brain, if it's live, it's called brainwave entrainment. It's entraining the cells, the sound, the frequency of the air your body is entraining to this external stimuli. So when it's live. Yes, it creates the third tone in the brain and you go. Can go out of body through that much more easily. But you're also entraining the cells in your system. System. You're bringing yourselves back into alignment into frequent. This is why, you know, the sound and frequency healing is going to be a major modality in the future because it helps us come back into balance.
Irene Bremis
Wow, that's crazy. That's like. That's where the quantum physics that you mentioned comes into play. This is brilliant.
Ellen Ware
I love it so much. Reed. Yeah, his name is John Stewart Reed. He studies frequency on the cells and the blood cells when it's like withdrawn from the body and.
Irene Bremis
Right.
Ellen Ware
One in a no sound chamber and one with music. And the one in the music chamber stays alive and the other one dies. He's. I mean, it's like, so cool.
Irene Bremis
Wow.
Is.
Ellen Ware
Is.
Irene Bremis
What am I trying to say? The sound. I don't know. I guess what you call it, like, not sound therapy, but is this sound process that you do, is the purpose of it to get to that higher conscious? Like, almost how you would for meditation or something? It's a way out of your ego or whatever you want to call it. I don't use the right terms, but I just mean is that sort of the goal or what's the other goals? Like, what you mentioned cells and sort of healing or.
Ellen Ware
Oh, man, it's.
Irene Bremis
So what are the goals?
Ellen Ware
Okay, so here's the thing. Like, we are most.
Irene Bremis
From a layman's perspective.
Ellen Ware
Yeah. Like, we're mostly water. I'm going to start there. Right. We're mostly water. And if you've studied the work of Dr. Emoto, where he speaks over water and the crystal formation changes, and you've studied Veda Austin, by the way, who has helped us to see that we can actually freeze water at its first freezing point. And it actually. It imprints on the words underneath it. It imprints on the pictures underneath it. And she can come out with a petri dish, and you'll have, like, a picture of a woman that was on the newspaper underneath it. Right. Her work is fascinating, and she has thousands of students that are doing this. Right. But water holds intention. So she started talking to water, saying, who are you? And she brought the petri dish out, and it says, I am. So there's a consciousness. Right. So here we go. So now I'm bringing the frequency of my work and my connection to the other side. And whatever that golden light is, I tap in every time to bring it through. Right? So we are mostly water. If we hold an intention over ourselves, the intention that anyone brings into the session is what gets worked on. Because their higher self is the one who's connecting. Their subconscious mind is connecting. And this is where we get into manifesting. And this is my real jam right now. Like, all that other stuff that is, you know, the outer. Right by. Let's talk about the subconscious. Because we create our lives through what we believe in the subconscious mind. And I'm helping people go directly into the subconscious. They give the intention, and then their higher self takes them through this movie process where they are like, oh, I just met with my mom and she told you showed me I'm loved. And I, you know, I had this healing, or I came out of body. And I see all my life experiences, and now I know why this happened. And this happened and this happened. I mostly work in emotion, but sometimes people leave. Many times they'll say that they don't have pain at when they leave my and it's not always forever and I'm not making a claim, but you know, it's intention. Wow.
Rachel Dratch
91% of dog parents say their dog is an important member of the family. I mean, that's kind of obvious, right? But did you know 40% would even say their dog over a human stranger? Whoa, that's kind of deep. Well, it's safe to say people are obsessed. Yes, we're obsessed with our dog, Ruffles.
Irene Bremis
And I'm just gonna go. Why I'd hear and say so is

We're very into manifesting. And. But I've never. By the way, we're just like. We're just like dumb dumbs with interest.
But we're learning.
But we're learning. We're very into manifesting. I find it really works for me. But I don't know why and like to hear this about the water and the actual physical element to it. It's fascinating.
Especially as a Pisces sweetie. It's very fascinating. I also love that the ice cube or the water gave the message of I am, which is a reference to God or higher consciousness, you know, And I, you know, I've read many books. I love Joe Dispenza. I don't know if you're familiar with him breaking the habit of being yourself. He's wonderful. He talks about quantum physics. But the problem that people have and what I'm getting from you is that there's a certain synchronicity that needs to happen when you're manifesting. And I think when somebody just says, I want this yet, you're not feeling the gratitude. You're not feeling the other things that need to be simultaneous to that. You're not really bringing forth the manifestation. Is that. Do you have anything to say about that? Because I've always been interested.
I have so much to say about that.
Ellen Ware
I mean, I worked with Jack Canfield for years. He was part of the Secret. And he, you know, I was introduced to manifesting. I was part of, like, a group that he put together where I brought my bowls in to help people manifest because they need to get out of the story, out of the thinking mind. So there's so much about manifesting that I can say I have been studying it years and years and years. But more recently, yes, the whole idea of living in the end, that you are the person that has what you want to create in the world, but not just that it's embodying it. You can't just put it out in a vision. Just like. So Joe Dispenza has a really cool key here, and it's that he takes people into the nothing, into the void. This, to me, I go into the golden light. It's this place without story, right? So you need to leave your body. Like what I'm talking about, what I'm doing helps you to get out of the head into the subconscious, right? And so you go into this place with no story. You're not attached to anything. And then from that place, you can place this creation of what you want to become, what you want to bring into your life. And you can access a different frequency because there are infinite versions of us living infinite versions of lifetimes and experiences right now, at this moment, right now. But what matters is what's present for you right now. What's present for me? How do I access that? So you go outside of the story, you place it into the. This ether. You see it, you feel it, you become it. Then how do you bring it back into the body? And I think that's where people slip up. And Joe Dispenza has the walking meditations that help you anchor it into the body. But it's when you can actually feel as if it's already happened. You're not thinking, I don't have this thing because you already have it. Right? I already have it. And so then you. You replace your thoughts with negative thoughts. You step it, you let your body relax and be like, no, I have this. And you release the outcome. Because the chef that you're co creating with the God presence, the I am the greater the divine, right, they might have secret ingredients. They might have a different. They might plug in different things. So releasing the outcome and living fully while feeling the end state, which is what Neville Goddard. Neville Goddard is the one. Like, read those books too. Like, that's the. For me, I'm like, okay, that's it. That's. That's my key. And that's what I've been working with. And it's working.
Irene Bremis
I just said that. We were talking about that today, Drachi. We were talking about, like, say it like it's already happened. Like, but then embodying that.
Ellen Ware
But I love that.
Irene Bremis
Yeah, but of course, we like that way back in the secret, the thing about, like, feel it and all that. But this is such a good reminder also. What's a great reminder is I feel like I'm pretty in touch. I don't want to be whatever jinx myself.
Rachel Dratch
Yeah. But I've been, knock on wood, I've
Irene Bremis
been okay at manifesting, but this. But the ingredient that I don't think about much or participate in much is this whole area of the subconscious mind and going to this, you know, golden room, whatever we call it, or having you're finding your own access to this, leaving your, your eye behind, you know, like, that's really a fascinating element to this because I always think of sort of meditation as something to relax to or whatever. Not that I meditate, by the way. I mean, I should. But But I don't think of it as a gateway or sound. You know, whatever, whatever method you use to reach this higher consciousness is just something that I need in the front of mind. It is a good reminder.
Ellen Ware
Gateway, gateway. Different realms you can access. When you start working with that, like, it's just like heart healing, helping people that have crossed over, like meeting the realm of light manifesting. There are different realms to be act. And it's infinite to what you want to create. Right. And what, what do you want to know? Do you want to go into the cosmic world? You want to go into like other planets? You know, you want to connect with other light beings? These are. I know it's woo, woo, but hey, it's a woo.
Irene Bremis
We love it.
Ellen Ware
It's. We love it.
Irene Bremis
This is the.
Play it all, sweetie.
Have you done like, what of those worlds have you explored or wanted?
Ellen Ware
I mean, I do it through my clients because I never know where their higher self is going to take them. And I sometimes have clients, they're like, oh my God, I'm in the stars and my light family is here and they're from another planet and they want me to know these things, to embody here and that they're supporting me, that they still love me. I mean, I've had people who've gone into past lives in Egypt where there were other worldly beings supporting them at that time.
Irene Bremis
Right.
Ellen Ware
Like, and so whenever my clients go into these places, these, these other realms of experience, I get to see it too. And so I have messages that come through from, for them. And so I've pretty much been everywhere.
Irene Bremis
Oh my gosh. It's mind blowing because it reminds me of like the inexplicable detail and symmetry of the pyramids and how they didn't understand how they did it. Were they getting this otherworldly information?
Ellen Ware
Right, exactly. And that what they're finding now has been seen for so long. Like the pyramids came to me in a vision one time and they told, they told me their name. I just saw two of them. Their name wasn't a real word, it was a sound. And the sound was represented in a symbol. And what they said was, we're here to receive frequency from for the outer planet. Like they receive it and then they showed it goes deep, deep, deep, deep, deep into the Earth. Well, now we know that they have discovered these giant massive columns that go way down into the earth with like coiled around him and stuff. What is that?
Irene Bremis
Right?
Ellen Ware
Like, and all of Graham Hancock's work and the ancient civilizations and how he's saying this could not possibly have been built by humans. Like, yes, all of this and more and more.
Irene Bremis
Wow.
Well, you're blowing my mind.
You're blowing my mind.
That's an understatement. Oh my God.
Understatement is right.
I'm trying to. I mean, I have so many more questions, but I'm like trying to sort
Rachel Dratch
them all out in my head.
Irene Bremis
Oh, I was wondering about like the, like being this person who's extremely connected to so many different realms. Like, what's your take on death? And our loved ones who have passed and all and that whole.
Ellen Ware
Oh, my area.
Irene Bremis
Yeah.
Ellen Ware
And this is common for near death experiencers. Our entire relationship with death has changed. We know that if we're here, we're here for a reason. Right. We have come here for we have purpose, we have meaning. There is a reason for us to be here. And death is like a doorway. You step through. This becomes an illusion, this becomes a dream. It's more real on the other side than it is here. It all makes sense. Everything does. And also everything doesn't make sense or doesn't matter anymore. Right. Because this is an experience where we get an opportunity to expand our light. When you're in the light, you can't expand it, obviously, because it is everything. It is everything that could be. But in human existence, when we're here, we're creating, we're expanding our light. We're learning, we're choosing love over fear. That expands the vibration in which we can expand the universe. So we're actually expanding the light in our existence here we experience the contrast because there's no contrast in the light. So we choose to come here to experience this, to help the collective. To me, it feels almost like a people say a simulation. Right, I see that. I get that. That makes sense to me because to me, I've come here with a sole purpose and a sole path. And how can I ascend the limitations of the human mind and the human experience in order to see that everything is happening for me? And it doesn't mean things aren't going to happen. I mean, that's the whole point. I've had hard times. I had Lyme disease. I went through a really terrible divorce. I got married a year and a half ago and two weeks later, my husband suffered a major neurological back spine and injury and forgot how to love me. He. He lost access to love, gratitude and joy. And so, like this loving, wonderful partner who did spiritual work with me could, couldn't. We couldn't continue but, but through this work, I'm. This has been the hardest lesson of my life, of returning to that wisdom on the other side, that we do create this, that there is wisdom and that we can give it back to the world in a way that expands everyone.

Wow, it's so interesting. I don't even know what to say. My father on his deathbed, though, definitely said he heard music. He saw water and he saw babies, clear as day. He was getting up and walking towards it. And then he died shortly thereafter. You can say it's a hallucination, but this is, you know, pretty much aligning and lining up to what you're saying. And so many other people have testified. I have a question. What about. And this is going to go a little darker. What about the people that say that they have had like near death experiences in hell, which is always terrifying.
Rachel Dratch
Actually, I've never heard them.
Irene Bremis
Oh my gosh, it's terrifying. You don't want to hear it from
Ellen Ware
the ones that I've spoken with personally. It. They're coming back with a change in their lives. Typically, like, they'll go through and say, hey, this. I came back here to correct the mistakes that I made before or to live in a different way. And so I see it in that way personally for the ones. And I really want to. There's one guy I really want to interview on my show about that because he's come back and just changed his whole life. He was shown like when he was in a fight and he said he was just spewing awfulness, right? And then he became himself in that experience. He became the other person so that he could feel what it was like. This was in his near death experience. And then he became the environment all around him. The floor, the walls, the how they felt it. And he's like the whole universe was cringing, right? So then he came back to share that with the world to say, like, we have a choice. It's it there. That is the free will. Is it? Do we choose love or do we choose fear in all of these experiences, right? And so I think every near death experiencer, I think, comes back with a message for the world. It's just how do they conceptualize it? How do they bring it into their life? And that's their choice, right?
Irene Bremis
Well, it's funny you said something about negativity because I was wondering about this higher realm of, you know, Jesus, Buddha, everything. How do they. I don't want to put them into, like, tell me what Jesus thinks about this. But how does that higher realm mesh up with like, evil in the world or like, yeah, bad people, like all the, the Darkness in the world. Like, how do we face darkness in the world in the context of what you're talking about?
Ellen Ware
That's a great question.
Irene Bremis
That's a good question, Rachel. Yeah.
Ellen Ware
And I love that I, of course, am speaking for myself, for my own higher self. So if this aligns with you and everyone else, I would offer it. We came here for the contrast. There's always. There's a purpose to everything. Perhaps the shadow that's coming out on the planet right now is so that we can collectively finally choose more light. Perhaps this is being shown to us so that we can make a choice and we can learn through it and that what we do with it, that is the key. So what do we do with what we're seeing in the world? What do we do with the darkness, with the moments in our life that we don't understand, that we can't sleep at night because we're. We're in so much torment and torture and trust me, I've been there too. Right. And so it's not always going to happen right away. And we can't make those things go away because we came here for the contrast. The contrast is how we choose. So when you think of it that way, it's almost like a mirror for us. What do we do with it?
Irene Bremis
Wow. It's like evolution. We have to evolve. Like, how are we going to grow if we don't make those choices throughout our lifetime? That's just amazing. Yeah.
Ellen Ware
100. Like, it has to be there in order for us to choose to expand. And it all comes down to free will.
Irene Bremis
Free will.
Wow. I. I have mind blown emoji.
Yeah, me too. So many other me too. Mind blown emoji.
Rachel Dratch

Irene Bremis
Irene do you have any other big questions?
Ellen Ware
I will say this.
Irene Bremis
I had a dream. It was a dream. But I told Rachel this a while back on one of the podcasts where my father was actually showing me where he lived. And I felt exactly what you're describing. I felt connected to the grass. It was so green. It was alive. I felt this. This sense of peace and at one with everything. And I didn't want to leave. And my. My. My father. I almost said husband. Oh, well, my.
We'll work that out.
Ellen Ware
We'll work out there.
Rachel Dratch
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
Thank you, sweetie. Thank you, sweetie. My dad said that it wasn't my time, and I started going up this mountain and then I was at the top of the mountain and all the stores were closed down and there was nobody. And I always took that as a prophecy for Covid because all the stores were closed and there was. That's what I took away from it, but I felt like I was there in the dream. Now, what do you think about dreams? Do you feel like you can access these places through dreams?
Ellen Ware
Yes. First of all, dreams and what we think of before we go to sleep, by the way it shapes our subconscious as we sleep. We are not just sleeping. We are working on the other side. And you were given a gift by your father and taken into a higher knowing, into a place where you could feel the true magic of the world, and you can bring that magic back to this world. And perhaps it was a prophecy, you know, a vision of what's to come, and you feeling that connection. Sometimes that's all it takes. And that's the work that I do. People feel that deep connection and wisdom from every blade of grass, from the air, the sun on their skin, bringing in information. You know, if we can bring that magic back to the planet and remember that we are miracles, like, just the fact that we exist is a miracle and that what we are made of is. We're made of star material, you know, that's real. So when you think of that and the wisdom, everything that brought you to everything in your life, can you see everything that happens to you as being some form of wisdom or magic? And can you go outside and feel the air and communicate with the sun? Can you feel the earth on your feet? Can you realize the wisdom and the power that's holding us here? That's something to be explored, I think, especially when you have dreams like that. Your father gave you a major gift.
Irene Bremis
Wow, that's incredible. Also, relationships, like, I don't feel like it's an accident with the people that you connect with throughout your life.
Ellen Ware
Yeah, it's not. I mean, think about me. I had a brain injury as a kid. I studied neurological injury through music. And then I have a sacred partner who suffered from a brain injury two weeks after our ceremony, when we were at the happiest we've ever been. So I think I was, like, pretty much designed to support him through that in some way. And it the hardest thing we've both ever been through. Right. Because we don't know what's coming or how his recovery will go and his neurological injury and his back and all that, we don't know. But, yeah, there's no accident. There are no accidents, really.
Irene Bremis
Like today in your current life with the music, the sound bowl. Is that what they're called, the sound bowls? Yeah, the sound bowls. Are you a practitioner of that where you live? Like, you have people come in and all that stuff. Oh, well, right there.
Ellen Ware
Oh, I happen to have one.
Rachel Dratch
Wow.
Ellen Ware
But I do like I. People come to me. I do retreats and workshops in San Diego. I do online one on one and private sessions. Can I do a little experience or is there not enough?
Rachel Dratch
Of course.
Ellen Ware
Yes, please. Okay, so if you want to just close your eyes for a minute and connect to your intention. Intention is the most important part of this. Whatever you want to call in today, whether it's light, whether you want to release something, connect with the breath and allow the exhale to be twice as long as the inhale. And now start to see your higher self above you with a beam of light coming down into the top of your head. And let the vibration transport that light through the water element of your body, through every cell, from the top of your head, through your brain, all the way down your spine, into the third eye, filling the hollow at the base of the neck, moving down into the heart. Feel the expansion of the heart and that light of the divine love that never fails. Feel that light flowing into your abdomen, into the pelvis, down through the soles, out through the soles of the feet, all the way down the body. Release anything that no longer serves and return to the dominion of your own light. I am light. Just let it anchor within you and notice what you notice. And when you're ready, you can open your eyes.
Irene Bremis
Wow, that was. Now our listeners are going to love that, sweetie. That they can go through that. That's amazing.
Ellen Ware
It was very brief, the shortest one I've ever done.
Irene Bremis
But I felt sort of so, like I'm all nervous about the speech. Right. So I asked for. I. I wanted to be in a space of calm. Confidence is what I said. And I did feel this sort of like. I don't know, I know that was quick, but I felt a sort of just like, like jettisong of like, you know, prickly nervous energy. And I just felt sort of like this. You said a spine. I felt like I was like a long spine.
I don't know.
That's what I got from it.
Ellen Ware
I tried to pull through the golden light. I use the violet flame too when my work, but I, when I was in it, I was like kind of bringing the light through the bowl. That, that's what I try to do. So I hope that helped.
Rachel Dratch
Yes, yes.
Irene Bremis
It was also just really interesting. I'm sure people are going to want to learn more about you and what you do. So could you tell us where people can find out more about what you do?
Ellen Ware
Absolutely. I first of all have a show on the Spark Network. You can find it on any smart TV or online. It is called Life After Life with Ellen. It is fascinating. I'm so proud of my guests. The wisdom that comes through it just changes lives. It's a TV show. I have Waking up in Heaven, Living with Purpose through Afterlife. Wisdom is my book. You can find it on Amazon. It's pink. I also have a weekly meditation download of light for everyone using many of my bowls on substack, so it's under my last name, Ellen Ware. W I E R. Anybody who pays the 11amonth gets like a weekly download of light. And I give messages that are coming through for the universe and for the planet. And then also you can see me on beyond the Grave, the award winning documentary on what happens after we live called beyond the Grave. Yeah, and my website is Wellness Music Therapy. I'm trying to get a better following on Instagram and yeah, that's where you can find me. And I have private sessions. I also have a retreat coming up in November in Mexico for people who want an immersive sound, healing breath work. And we're even taking the bowls out for the dolphins to see if we can get the dolphins. And we're doing the whole water thing where we're going to ask water questions and freeze it and see if it comes up with an answer, you know, which we know we will get. And we're going to do a Temescal, which is a sweat lodge, like a kind of a clay dome where you sweat and you receive messages. That's going to be fun too. So.
Irene Bremis
Wow.
Wait, sorry, what's the name of your website?
Ellen Ware
WellnessMusicTherapy.com.
Irene Bremis
okay. WellnessMusicTherapy.com. we also have our pendulum reading, which I always feel silly doing for people that are actually practitioners on their own. But Irene, you can do it because I've been off lately. Sweetie, do you have your penji there?
Yes, I do.
Okay.
Ellen Ware
Okay. I've got a really good one, I think.
Irene Bremis
Ooh. A good question. I do. Ooh. Okay. Okay. Awesome. So, Irene, are you ready?
I am ready.
I'll grab mine too.
Just grab yours.
Ellen Ware
I love.
Irene Bremis
I just wanted to say that the ice reminds me a little bit of reading. Like tea leaves or coffee reads, you know, except using. You're using water.
It's amazing.
Rachel Dratch
Are you thinking.
Irene Bremis
Are you thinking of the question?
I already got my answer.
Rachel Dratch
Oh.
Ellen Ware
Do I have to say the question or what?
Irene Bremis
Oh, no, you say it afterwards.
Ellen Ware
Okay. Okay. And it's a yes or no. I'm Going to think it right now.
Irene Bremis
Okay, well, I got an answer.
Ellen Ware
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
Let me. Let me do this again.
Ellen Ware
Let me do it again.
Irene Bremis
Sorry.
I always do a.
Whenever you say, let me do this again, Irene, I always think that means you got a no.
I actually got a yes.
Okay. I got a yes, too. Yay.
Ellen Ware
Okay, so I wanted to know, does the subconscious mind influence our reality more than the conscious mind?
Irene Bremis
Absolutely.
Rachel Dratch
Oh, I like that.
Irene Bremis
I like that. And it's a yes. A resounding yes.
No, I'm truly. I'm not talking, like, podcast lady here, just as me. I'm really fascinated by this being more in touch with subconscious mind and exploring that, because it's something I really don't do. But I'm very into that idea.
Ellen Ware
And the more we connect to the subconscious, the more we connect to the field. And the field is how we get these signs, how the pendulum works, and how we see synchronistic numbers and we hear the same song lyric, and we see animals that have spiritual meaning. Like, all these things. Now start to look for them more, because the more you're connected to the field, the more signs you'll get. The more you recognize the signs, the more they give you.
Irene Bremis
Wow, that's crazy.
Rachel Dratch
I love it.
Irene Bremis
I love that, too.
Ellen Ware
And if you get signs in multiple different places that say the same thing, pay attention, because they've done studies on consciousness through the Monroe Institute, and they have actually found that it just means you're connected to the field where you want to be. You're co creating validation.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Wow.
Irene Bremis
I wish this was on video, because my responses. I don't mean like, there's. I'm just, like, freaking out physically. Everything you say. Yeah, I've been getting. I'll just. I'm just gonna share this with you. No. Lest you think I'm whacking you. But Irene will attest. I think my dad is no longer with us, but I swear I'm getting, like, crazy messages on my phone.
Yes.
Like, pictures popping up out of.
Not accidental.
And I've had it happen two times. And then I swear I'm just gonna tell you this, but yesterday I asked because my friends. I'm doing this speech, and my friend said, like, oh, I wish your dad could be there. My friend said that to me. And I've never done this, but I asked yesterday. I was like, dad, like, send me a sign through my phone again. And I swear, a couple hours later, this random photo popped up of me and my mom, and it said, love, love, love. And it was from. It was from some other chain. Like, I wasn't even on this chain. It's from, like, two years ago. That's.
Ellen Ware
That's huge. That's huge.
Irene Bremis
Weird, right?
They can do that.
Ellen Ware
It's not weird. It's real. I want you to know it's real. And to believe and hold that is absolutely real. And acknowledge that he is sending you signs so that he feels like, oh, she's getting it. And, like, because I have chills everywhere. He's so proud that you are getting these.
Irene Bremis
Well, can I tell you another little weird factor? Yeah. The picture. The picture that he sent me was like, in our hometown, we had this anniversary and I was in the parade. Okay. Yeah. So that was another moment. I was like, oh, I wish he was here. The picture that got sent to me was of that parade from two years ago.
I mean, unmistakable. Unmistakable.
Ellen Ware
I was there. I was.
Sponsor/Ad Voice
Yes.
Ellen Ware
Yes.
Irene Bremis
This is the stuff I love.
Ellen Ware
This is the stuff I get to do every single day. I get to take people to the signs.
Irene Bremis
I'm like, yes.
Ellen Ware
Oh, my God, it's happening. Co creating. You're co creating. You're getting messages. You're getting validation. They don't leave. They're always there. They just can't. We can't access them consciously anymore.
Irene Bremis
Right.
Wow.
Rachel Dratch
Wow, wow.
Ellen Ware
That is.
Irene Bremis
Oh, my gosh. Thank you so much. Really. And I was so. Irene will attest, I was so tired going into this. And you just rejuvenated.

Host: Rachel Dratch | Co-Host: Irene Bremis
Guest: Ellen Wier, music therapist, near-death experiencer
This episode dives deep into the world of near-death experiences and consciousness with special guest Ellen Wier. Ellen shares her life-altering near-death experience as a child, her journey into music therapy, and how she helps others use sound, frequency, and intention to access higher consciousness and heal. Rachel and Irene, both self-proclaimed "woo-curious," ask probing and playful questions, exploring topics like manifesting, the science and spirituality of sound, the subconscious mind, and the meaning of life and death.
“I was kicked in the temple... taken to a local hospital... when I was there, they told my parents to play things at my bedside...” — Ellen (06:04)
“It was all love, unconditional. No name, no one way, no words, no consciousness, no thinking, no explaining.” — Ellen (07:17)
“As a typical near-death experiencer, it takes years and years to integrate this stuff... it was also training my psychic and intuition abilities.” — Ellen (12:22, 13:08)
“Everything I do is to reconnect to that consciousness... help people connect... use music and sound to get there.” — Ellen (10:39)
“You hear one tone in one ear and one in the other, and a third tone in the brain... that frequency allows people to go into theta state... I help get them out of their body.” — Ellen (17:14-17:56)
“I go back like three years ago and I find this declassified CIA document called the Gateway Project... and I was like, that's exactly what I do. It was downloaded to me.” — Ellen (19:41-21:21)
“You need to leave your body... go into this place with no story... then from that place, you can create... and you can access a different frequency.” — Ellen (31:05-32:57)
“Joe Dispenza has a really cool key here, and it's that he takes people into the nothing, into the void.” — Ellen (32:36)
“Water holds intention... If we hold an intention over ourselves, the intention that anyone brings into the session is what gets worked on.” — Ellen (25:28-27:31)
“Sound and frequency healing is going to be a major modality in the future because it helps us come back into balance.” — Ellen (24:38)
“Death is like a doorway... this becomes a dream... It's more real on the other side than it is here.” — Ellen (37:31)
“We came here for the contrast... The contrast is how we choose.” — Ellen (44:39-45:57)
“We are not just sleeping. We are working on the other side. And you were given a gift by your father...” — Ellen (49:39)
“The more we connect to the subconscious, the more we connect to the field... Now start to look for them more, because the more you're connected to the field, the more signs you'll get.” — Ellen (58:18-58:44)
“I also have a weekly meditation download of light for everyone using many of my bowls on substack, so it’s under my last name, Ellen Wier.” — Ellen (55:02)
On the Golden Realm:
“There was a fullness, there was a weight to it. It was all love, unconditional. No one way, no words, no consciousness, no thinking, no explaining. You didn’t need to know everything because everything was known, expansive beyond belief.” — Ellen (07:16-07:36)
On Music as a Bridge:
“I vow to come back, I will heal people with music. And then the biggest vow… was that I vowed to come back and give gratitude for every experience on this planet.” — Ellen (09:25)
On Manifesting:
“But it’s when you can actually feel as if it’s already happened... And you release the outcome.” — Ellen (33:13)
On Death, Purpose, and Growth:
“We choose to come here to experience this, to help the collective… In human existence… we are actually expanding the light in our existence here.” — Ellen (37:29-38:08)
On Spiritual Signs through Technology:
“It’s not weird. It’s real. I want you to know it’s real. And to believe and hold that is absolutely real… He’s so proud that you are getting these.” — Ellen (60:01)
“The more we connect to the subconscious, the more we connect to the field. … Now start to look for them more, because the more you’re connected to the field, the more signs you’ll get. The more you recognize the signs, the more they give you.”
— Ellen Wier (58:18)
