Well, summer's almost here and that makes me rethink what clothes I'm reaching for every day. Lighter fabrics, better materials and pieces that just make you feel good the moment you put them on and look effortless. And that's why I keep coming back to Quince. They focus on high quality essentials. Think breathable linen, soft, organic cotton, washable silk, but without the luxury markup. It's that rare balance where everything feels elevated but still easy. Quince has beautiful everyday pieces like 100% European linen pants, dresses and tops with styles starting at $32. And their denim is soft and easy to wear. And their organic cotton sweaters are perfect for layering on cool summer nights. But the biggest thing is everything at Quint's is priced 50 to 80% less than similar brands. Go check out their website. You're going to be amazed. And it's not just clothing. Quint's has really become a destination for elevated essentials across home, kitchen, bedding and beyond. Easy to bring a more premium feel into everyday life. Irene and I both tried out Quints. And while Irene went for the jeans, she won't stop talking about how much she loves these Quint's jeans.
Irene Bremis
And Irene looks very hot in these

jeans, if I may say. Now, I went for the towel set because I wanted that sort of she, she looking towels to elevate my bathroom
Irene Bremis
instead of different towels from different eras of my life.
Rachel Dratch
Yeah, I needed an upgrade and I went to Quint's. And I love how they look and feel, but they cost less than 100 bucks. Amazing. So elevate your summer wardrobe or your home. You've heard me talk about one skin before. And whether you're someone who tries every new skincare product that hits the market or you've been using the same one or two things for years, at some point, most of us realize our skin just isn't keeping up the way it used to. And that's what Oneskin changed for me. It didn't just make my existing routine better. It actually works differently than anything else I've tried. As we age, some skin cells stop functioning the way they should. Longevity scientists call them zombie cells. Ooh, that sounds kind of woo woo. And that's what's actually driving those visible Signs of aging, the fine lines, the loss of firmness, the dullness that creeps in over time. Well, OneSkin's OS1 peptide was specifically engineered to address those. So you're getting everything you expect from great skincare with OS1 doing something most skincare was never built to do. I use Oneskin every day and I love how it makes my skin feel. It just feels fresher and brighter and, and moisturized. I'm using the face topical supplement and the eye cream and I've already gone through the whole bottle of the One Skin face supplement. Time to reorder. For me. If you're not already using sunscreen daily, Oneskin's face SPF is the best place to start. It's got those same skincare benefits from the OS1 peptide while also giving you mineral SPF protection from UV exposure, which is a major factor in making us look older faster. So with this, you're protecting against future UV damage while reversing the visible effects of of past summers full of sun. And Oneskin's results are backed by four peer reviewed clinical studies, over 10,000 five star reviews, and they've been recognized by Bloomberg as a leader in skin longevity. Born from over a decade of longevity research, OneSkin's OS1 peptide is proven to target the visible signs of aging, helping you unlock your healthiest skin. Now as you age, for a limited time, try OneSkin with 15% off using code WOO@oneskin to.com WOO. That's 15% off. OneSkin.com with code WOO. Welcome to Woo Woo with Rachel Dratch, the podcast that explores the unexplained with humor and curiosity.
Irene Bremis
Hello and welcome to Woo Woo with
Rachel Dratch
Rachel Dratch, here with my pal and
Irene Bremis
co host, Irene Bremis. Hi, Irene.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Hello, sweetie.
Irene Bremis
Oh, sweetie. It's been so long. Irene was on vacation for a week and we're having the DTs. Okay. So anyway, we're very excited now. I thought this is a Broadway theme since it's the big season where Tony season and everyone's talking about all the shows that are up for Tonys and blah, blah, blah. Broadway's on everyone's mind. And I thought this would be a good sort of setup here because we have one of the stars of Schmigadoon here. I saw the opening on April 20th. Love the show so much. Of course, my pal Ana Gasteyer is in it. She's up for A Tony. And she's so funny in it. But we have another star here because Anna already did the show. Anyway. We have another star here of Schmigadoon and many other Broadway things. Izzy McKella is here with us. Hi, Izzy.
Izzy McKella
Hi. I'm so happy to be here.
Irene Bremis
Hi, welcome. I also. Now, the reason we got hooked in is cause Anna told me that you're into Woo Woo things, and I was like, send her along, please. So here you are, Broadway and Woo. Broadway meets Woo Woo meets Izzy McKella.
Izzy McKella
That's me. I feel like I'm like the Wikipedia of Woo Woo. I know, like just a little bit of everything, but not enough to have any authority on anything.
Irene Bremis
That sounds like us, actually.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yeah, totally. 100%.
Irene Bremis
We dabble. Although now we've been dabbling a couple years in this, we probably have more knowledge than we think Irene, but we definitely.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
And skill.
Irene Bremis
And skill. But we don't have a lot of knowledge about a lot of different things. I think we cover, like, Irene knows more astrology than I do. Anyway, we'll get to all of it. But Izzy. So, Izzy, you are starring in Schmigadoon, which, if you haven't seen Schmigadoon, oh my gosh, it's so funny. I mean, it was a show on Apple before, so maybe you've heard of it. If you haven't seen this, the Broadway version. But Izzy, why don't you tell the listeners a little bit about Shmigadoon and then I want to know how you got into theater and all that. Anyway. Okay, tell us about Shmigadoon first.
Izzy McKella
Okay. Yes. Shmigadune is a story of a modern day couple that's. Their relationship's a little bit on the rocks, and so they're on. They're fighting on a couple's retreat in the Catskills, and they get lost and they cross a bridge and land in this magical musical town of Schmigadoon, where every day and every character is in a musical. The Melissa loves it and Josh hates it. And the only way they can leave Schmigadoon is they find their way back to their one true love. Whether that's with each other, you have to come and see. But all of the characters within Shmikadoon are all based on classic golden age musical tropes. So Anna Gass, Ana and my character are both probably from the Music Man. She's based on her Mildred Men Love is Based on Eulalie McKechnie Shin from Music Man. And Emma Tate is the school marm. Is based on Mary and the Librarian. Also Little Anna, the King and I. But if Debbie Allen were doing them all and dancing it.
Irene Bremis
Dancing. Oh, let me just throw this in. You just won an award, right?
Izzy McKella
I did.
Irene Bremis
Isn't that too.
Izzy McKella
I did. I won the China Rivera Award for Most Outstanding Dancer, which is so awesome.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Bravo.
Rachel Dratch
Congratulations.
Izzy McKella
Yeah. Thank you. You're very, very, very.
Irene Bremis
We're throwing the kudos in where we can.
Rachel Dratch
Yes.
Irene Bremis
And, oh, my gosh, I don't even want to say what this dance number is, but it comes kind of, you know, if you're just watching, you don't know that this dance number is going to happen. And then when it does, oh, my gosh. So delightful. Loved it, loved it, loved it.
Rachel Dratch
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
And then there's all sorts, like me, I'm a musical theater nerd, so I know these references, but I think if you don't know them, you're still gonna love it. Cause you kind of know them, even if you think you don't. If you're an expert on musicals, you'll really love it, but if you're not, you're still gonna love it. So fun.
Izzy McKella
It's so fun. And I think that's the beauty of the Josh character, because he hates musicals. He's the audience's way in. And, well, I feel like I watch the audience from the conductor cam monitor a lot, and I'll see sometimes there are, like, finance bros sitting in the front row, like, rolling their eyes that their girlfriends took into the show. And by the end, they are fully laughing and sometimes crying. We get them.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, I like it.
Rachel Dratch
I love that.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Caught on camera.
Irene Bremis
I laughed so hard in this show. I mean, I was laughing the whole way through. So if you want a good laugh, please go see Schmiganoon and see Izzy kill it in the dance. Well, in many other things. Many things. But also this. I just said that. Cause you just won the dance award, but, yeah. So good in it. Now, I also happen to have seen you because my friend Kevin Cahoon, who did the first episode of the show.
Rachel Dratch
Kevin Cahoon.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yes.
Irene Bremis
And you came into Shucked as the replacement for Maisie. Is that the character's name?
Izzy McKella
Yes, that's true.
Irene Bremis
Yeah.
Rachel Dratch
So I saw you in that.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, I did the last four months of the run, which was so much fun. And Kevin Cahoon is the best human alive.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yes, he is.
Izzy McKella
He really is. He's so kind and welcoming. And like, replacing is scary in a show because everybody's been doing it for so long. And when you're replacing in a comedy, everybody has the same rhythm already. And so I had to slot in and find my way while not disrupting the perfect product Jack o' Brien curated. Yeah, but Kevin, the first day I walked in, my first show, he gave me a horseshoe for good luck, which I loved so much. And I bring it. It's in my dressing room at Schmickety right now. And I'm like taking it wherever I go with me. And he has been nothing but the biggest supporter and so kind and a genius. So kind. He's such a genius. He's a genius.
Irene Bremis
So just a little bit of, you know, how you came to your acting love and career and everything. Like, tell us about, like, were you a kid? Like, were you always in dance class? Did you always know you wanted to be an actor? How did you come to be.
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
So we see now.
Izzy McKella
I grew up close to the city, so Broadway was like my regional theater, which was like very low key. But like, the first show I saw was Cats when I was five. The original, not the cool Jellicle ball that is on stage now. But even so, when I was five, I remember I sat in the aisle and those cats, they would like crawl down the aisles. And I remember Cassandra. It was Cassandra, the brown cat sat right next to my seat and she looked up at me and then I looked down at her and apparently I went, good kitty. And I just started petting this actress at 5 years old. And I was obsessed and I begged my mom to buy the VHS of the show because they'd done a pro shot of it in London. Oh. I watched it every day obsessively. And I would play a different cat every day and taught myself the choreography. So I was already ready to be a swing, I guess.
Rachel Dratch
Cool.
Izzy McKella
And. And that was kind of like I got that bug there. I. Then my, my, My taste grew and my palate expanded. But like, I grew up, like on Turner Class of Movies, like when I would get home from school, I would turn on Turner Classic Movies and watch whatever was on. Katherine Hepburn was my idol at 12 years. Wow. Which is very sophisticated.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
That's. It is we watch General Hospital with Luke and Laura, sweetie. Or After School Special. So guess what? You win. You win.
Rachel Dratch
That's true.
Irene Bremis
We would come home and watch General Hospital.
Sponsor Voice
That's right.
Irene Bremis
Katherine. Hey.
Rachel Dratch
Love it.
Izzy McKella
You know, I could have done this in General Hospital, though. I should be like steeped into the modern day culture.
Irene Bremis
That's hilarious. Good reminder. I mean, I forgot about.
Sponsor Voice
Yeah.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
That case.
Irene Bremis
That's so funny. Oh, my God. Luke and Laura. Okay, so I'm off on a mental tangent. Okay, so then did you. Were you like, I want to be an actor?
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
Did you go to a BFA program?
Izzy McKella
I did go to a BFA program, but, like, first my mom was like. She put me in ballet class for, like, the discipline of it because she was a little bit strict. And I grew up in a house where I always had to get straight A's and I always had to be the best. I've gone through years of therapy to get rid of the good girl syndrome. But I. But yeah, I went to ballet and, like, turns out I really enjoyed dancing and loved it. And I was lucky enough to get a full scholarship at my dance studio because my. The owner saw potential in me and because I was kind and held open the door for her, which she said was unexpected, which was wild.
Rachel Dratch
Small act of kindness.
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
Butterfly effect.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Random time.
Irene Bremis
Tying this into Woo Woo. Unnecessary.
Izzy McKella
Let's do.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I'm here for.
Irene Bremis
I'm just kidding. No, I'm just kidding. Okay, so you're. So you're at dance school.
Izzy McKella
School. I'm at dance school. I train, I do the school plays. And then I. I thought I was going to go to school, like, for. For academics. Like, I didn't know that I was going to go for theater, but I had a teacher when I went to, like, went to summer program at Martha's Vineyard Vineyard Arts Project. O. Yeah. Charlotte D. Is like a big famous Broadway dancer was there and she was teaching us America. I was 16. And after the class, she pulled me aside and she was like, you should be doing this. And I was like, well, you know, I like it. And she's like, no, no. I mean, like, as a career, you. You can do this and you should do this. And so it was like having that vote of confidence from somebody in the profession that made me like, okay, maybe I will try it. And so I applied to a bunch of different. Both liberal art schools and then BFA programs and ended up going to the University of Michigan because they had the best of both worlds. And I loved it. I had a great time. And like, from there I got an agent. And after showcase and then kind of like everything snowballed and here I am.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
And here you are.
Rachel Dratch
I'm trying to start my mornings off right, so I walk ruffles to get outside. I do my little word puzzles. And you know, another positive part of my morning is Kachava nutritional shakes.
Irene Bremis
Yeah.
Rachel Dratch
Cause I'm not so big on breakfast I tend to skip it sometimes. But now I got the Cachava shakes going and I'm feeling so much better when I start my day. And now Cachava has travel packs so it's easy to start your morning right if you're on the go. Like sometimes I'm headed to the theater to do a matinee. I've been so busy I just throw a pack or two in my bag when I'm headed out the door. So now it's easy to travel with all in one nutrition. Cachava has been great for my wellness routine. Yeah, I have a wellness routine. Yeah, I'm going to own that. No, it gives me energy. It supports all day energy with five key vitamins and minerals, strength. It fuels and replenishes your muscles with protein and electrolytes and it's good for your metabolism. Has eight vitamins, minerals and fiber. Cachava has all the nutrition your body craves in one deliciously simple shake. And now pack to go and features six fan favorite flavors. Chocolate, vanilla, chai, matcha, coconut, acai and strawberry. And I can attest they actually taste good. Cachava has no artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners. That was key for me because I do not like artificial sweeteners and of course I was looking for a shake without artificial colors. We don't want that.
Irene Bremis
So join in the fun with me and feel so much better.
Rachel Dratch

I've worn glasses for a long time, since I was a kid and I used to hate my glasses. But now glasses are cool if you find the right ones. You know, I thought I found some great ones a couple years ago and when I went to see how much they cost after all the process of giving my prescription everything, they were going to be $800. Well, that's when someone told me about Warby Parker. And since then they have been my go to for glasses. I mean, I could go on and on. They have every style you could ever want. They look super chic and modern and they also have all sorts of sizes, might I add, because I need narrow frames and they have plenty to choose from. Their staff are super friendly and helpful. You could be in and out of there in a jiffy if you want. Or you could spend the whole afternoon trying on frames. But if you Want to try from the comfort of your own home?
Irene Bremis

Irene Bremis
It's amazing.
Rachel Dratch
It's like, welcome to the future, Dratch. Now, I recently got my brand new pair. I got the Bodhi narrow in rye tortoise color and I'm loving them. I used to be like, oh, you're going to take a picture. Let me take off my glasses. Well, now I can keep my glasses on for a picture because they look so fashionable and like I said, they're crazy affordable. The prescription glasses start at $95.

Irene Bremis
Okay, so on to the woo of it all.
Izzy McKella
Let's go.
Irene Bremis
Now, as you know, Anna told me you're very Woo Woo. I don't know what, what your woo woo concentration is what you're majoring in. In Woo Woo.
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
If it's. But anyway, you can say, you can
Izzy McKella
say, yeah, well, I. Oh man. What's my woo Woo concentration? I feel like I am a second year Woo Woo student. So like I'm, I'm past the beginner level on pretty much all the disciplines, but I've yet to choose a major. I think.
Irene Bremis
Okay, you know, like we did the grab bag.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm still in the grab bag section.
Irene Bremis
I'm kind of joking, but I didn't know what, like I texted you right before this, like, so what do you
Rachel Dratch
want to talk about?
Irene Bremis
So, and then you listed a few things. So you could start with either like your first woo Woo encounter and how you became kind of woo Woo or however you want to structure it. We don't really have a set structure.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, well, I will say like, the reason Anna connected us is because every day I have this great app called the Pattern. It's like an astrology app and I'm very much with the moon cycles and I'll.
Irene Bremis
Oh wait, by the way, don't say your sign yet. Cause Irene likes to guess in case you're about to drop on your sign. But anyway, keep going. Sorry, but I would go with.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
We have shan't.
Izzy McKella
I shan't say a word. I'll just let you feel it. So we go into the wig room and Ana and I and Sarah Chase have the same call and we just chat. And I always talk about like, here's what the moon's doing today everybody. This is what you gotta release. And that's what happens. Oh, we should go on woo woo. And I was like, say more.
Irene Bremis
So I was very sad anyway, but
Izzy McKella
I got into all the woo woo because so I'm it, it runs in my family on both sides. I'm, I'm Haitian and Irish so I got like lots of Caribbean voodoo, double folklore. Uh huh, yes. And then the Irish, Celtic, you know, Mimps in the, in the forests like we, yeah, the dryads were, they're very prevalent. But what I will say is it's mostly I, the closest connection I have to it is on my father's side, the Haitian side. Because my cousin, who I'm very close to is a medium and she has had this gift. She's nine years older than me, but she's had a gift ever since she was a child and it used to scare her a lot because she would see spirit everywhere. Like they would manifest in front of her and it would freak her out and then she learned to control it. But I was also so scared that I, like I blocked it out. I was like, I don't wanna, I don't, I don't wanna see anything. I don't wanna experience anything. I just want to only experience what is in front of me. And then when I was about like 18, 19, 20, like in my, in college, end of college, I started opening myself up to it. Like I, I always was interested in magic. I, I wanted to be a witch so badly. When I was little I would cast spells and I was always really good at manifesting things. Like if I speak things out, you tell. Okay, so like the, the, the not great example is when I was a kid and I would fake sick to get out of going to school because I don't want to take a test or something. I would tell my mom that I had a stomachache or I, I had her, I was feeling like I was getting a cold. And then a couple days or a week Later I would get the exact thing I said. So I'm very. And it still to this day happens. So I'm very careful with saying words, anything ill. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I can't do it. But then. But then I also, like. Well, for example, I was on the subway today and I was thinking about being a kid and making potions in the mud when I was like 10 years old. And I was like, oh, yeah, that was like. That was my witches brew. And I kid you not, I look up and the woman across the seat from me is wearing a T shirt that says witch's brew, and it had witches on it. And I was like, well, that's a fun little synchronicity right there.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yeah.
Izzy McKella
So, like, little things like that pop up when I'm aligned. But anyway, going back, sorry, I'm. This might give you some info, Irene, on my zodiac sign, because I'm all over the place.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, we all have ADHD here, sweetie. We're add. Don't worry about it. We go around in circles and then we meet in the center again. Don't worry about it. Safe circle. Okay. Yeah.
Izzy McKella
So in the maze we're circling. Getting back to the mediumship of it all.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yes.
Izzy McKella
I always been, like, curious. And then I said, I got older. I got less scared of it because I started hearing stories about medium readings and exciting things that had happened to people. And at the same time, my cousin decided she was a nurse and then, like, decided to leave her business as a nurse and become a full time medium. And as she was growing her business, she was like, hey, do you mind doing something for me? Can you get, like 20 of your friends together and do what's called a platform demonstration? Which is a medium comes to a group of people and says, I'm going to channel your departed loved ones. You do not tell me anything about them. I will tell you something about them. And so she whittles down based on, like, I think I have a woman here. If you have a woman, you raise your hand. If you. And then, like, I think they pass between the ages of 20 and 30 and you raise your hand, and then she gets more and more specific details and she's found until she's found the person who the message is for and what. The more research I've done into mediums, the more respect I have for it. Because the ones who are worth their salt are evidentiary. Mediums is what they call themselves. So, like, they are not allowed to give their messages until they have enough evidence to prove to you that they have who you're actually trying to talk to. And so until that point, I hadn't witnessed anything myself. So I brought 20 of my friends together. I did not tell her who was coming. She didn't know most of them. She was seeing them all for the first time. And we sat in my living room for two hours, and I watched person after person had breakdown over the details she was bringing up whether it was like an old rocking chair that somebody's grandmother used to rock them in or a. A pink. One of my friends lost, who I didn't know until this happened, had lost a. A young sister who died at, like, 3 years old. And she always used to wear a pink princess gown with a unicorn hat. And so my cousin described that hat, and my friend burst into tears and then received the message that was for her because. And she was. And I talked to my cousin afterwards, and I told her it was who that was for. And she was like, I had no idea. And that's like, what I think is so cool. At the real mediums who worked their salt don't know why. They don't know why they're getting the images that are coming in. They're just. They're just supposed to give the message anyway. So in that reading, I was. She. She. She asked at, like, the midway point. She was like, who hasn't had a connection yet? And I raised my hand, and she said, I'm not talking about you. I know you. And everybody laughed. And then she was like, oh, okay. Nope, sorry. Grandpa's here and he wants to talk to you. And so it was our mutual grandfather on the Haitian side. And he passed when he was about 45, when my father was fairly young. So I never met him. But her message for me from him was that my grandpa, Jocelyn is his name, who he is always on stage with me, that he has been kind of like the biggest supporter of my career, and he's always given me nudges in the right direction, whether when it's like when I'm at a fork in the road and which path to take. And he wanted me to know that whenever I'm feeling lost or depressed or sad, that he is there pushing me on and giving me the glimmers of hope. And he told. She said, he's telling me to tell you to look for orange tiger lilies and pink roses. I was like, okay, sure. Orange tiger lilies and pink roses. That's that. Cut to the next couple days. I'm searching everywhere. I'm like, literally looking at every Kind of like, where are they? Where are they? Where are they? They're not there. They're not there. I can't. I can't find them. I'm like, right? I'm just. This is crazy. Why am I. Why am I fixating on orange tiger lilies and pink roses? So I gave up. I'm looking for it nice. And then, like, about a couple days later, I end up at my friend's apartment. We're having dinner, and I sit down at her kitchen table, and there is a giant bouquet of orange tiger lilies and pink roses. Like, exactly. Like, the pink roses were in the middle, and they were spread out, and I just burst into tears. And my friend Chelsea's like, what's going on? And so I tell her the story, and she says, you know what's so weird? A friend dropped these off for me today because he said, I don't know why, but I feel like you need these and, like, drop them there. Right? Isn't that crazy? And so, like, that was wild. And then I saw them one other time three or four years later when I was in Italy and I tore my quad while I was on a solo trip in Sicily. And I got this. Yeah, it was not fun. And I. But I got, like, an email to American Airlines, was like, you can push your flight back a day free of charge because there's weather. And I was debating whether to do it or not. And I then sat at, like, this cafe, and right in front of me, where they put me was a. It was the only vase of flowers that had orange tiger lilies and pink roses in the middle. And so it's like a very specific sign that I get.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Bouquet. Absolutely.
Izzy McKella
It's a very specific bouquet. And I was like, oh, okay. And so it's a little extra magic for me. And so because of that, like, that kind of opened up my relationship with signs, period. I get, like, huskies are a big sign for me. I grew up with a husky, so if I see a husky, it's like I'm on the right path. My grandpa on the other side, Frank, sends me this specific number. 17. 17. I love ones and sevens. And my. My cousin Viv and I are really big travelers and adventurers. And during the pandemic, we did a cross country road trip. We were living in San Diego and then relocated east.
Irene Bremis
Wow.
Izzy McKella
And as we were getting on, we're her side of the family's French, and she always has her phone in military time, so, like, we put all of our gadgets in military time because of it. And for whatever reason, the car that we had, Maza Marie was her name, we rented her and we were about to get on the turnpike and we were talking about this trip and we were like, we're on the road for 10 days in the middle of COVID Is this a crazy idea or is this the best idea we've ever had? And we ended up talking about our grandpa and just talking about camping out and like, are we doing the right thing? What's gonna happen? And the time on the clocks at 17:17. And I was like, we kept talking, I was like, I feel like it's been 5:17 for a long time. What is, what's happening here? And then not only the, it was not just the car clock, it was my phone and her phone were all stuck on 1717. And at the same time it all jumped to 1719. So we got two minutes of 1717 which just felt like wild. And then we started. I started seeing 1717 everywhere. And, and then I actually had a. Recently confirmed by a medium that was like the number 1717. I was like, yeah. He goes, that's from your grandpa. I was like, yeah, that's nice. So yes, I get, I get signs like that. And then I think, I think my thing about it is it's like if it's true or not, it's creating more magic in my life and it's not hurting anybody. So.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
No.
Izzy McKella
Why not? And like I've also started dabbling myself a little in it.
Irene Bremis
Yeah. Which is in mediumship or in just kind.
Izzy McKella
Well, yeah. So like I've always. I get visualization. Like I, when I meditate, I visual, I get like very vivid visualization. And so. And I do a lot of breath work. Like I like nervous system recalibration. And I started doing it because like as I was getting into this mediumship stuff and I was like. And also because I have ADD and I need to regulate my nervous system and try to find some peace in my life, I started doing breathwork classes and specifically holotropic breathing, which is like a two part breath, which what it does is it stimulates both hemispheres of your brain and connects them in the same way that psychedelics do, but without the drug. And so it's like a very labor intensive breath that leads to higher connection, they say. So I started doing that a lot and because I did that I started getting like very vivid visualizations. And so personally, like I once had a. This is kind of dark. But I had like, I, I was being led in a meditation that we were supposed to ask ourselves, what from our past life is holding us back? And so it was after a rigorous breath recession. And so I was. I asked that question, and then I was immediately taken to. It was like I was back in ancient Egypt, and I remember the reeds, and I was like, I could feel the reeds. And I saw that, like, my son was there. This is so dark. I'm gonna get real dark here. But I saw my son was there, and he was with another man. And in that state, I. I ended up slitting his throat. Like, I killed my. My son. And so it was so awful. But, like, I had this, like, really int. And it felt like I was there. And it was like, oh, you've been carrying this guilt from past life. Potentially. I don't know, past life or ancestral. But still, I was like, that's. That's intense. That's weird. But after, I'd, like, acknowledged that and mourned that and cleansed it, I feel like I gained weakness that released it. And my teacher, when I told her about this, she was like, you don't have to be bound to the past versions of yourself or the past lives that we experienced. Let go of that shackle. Like, the guilt is not yours to bear. That was an interesting one.
Irene Bremis
When you were feeling that, did you feel like you were in a past life? Like, was that how you identified it? And if so, like, did you even have the feelings of the woman that you were? Like, why you were doing that?
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
Or was it more just like seeing a movie? Like, were you in it, like, first person? Or were you kind of seeing a movie of yourself in quotes?
Izzy McKella
That's a very good question. I. I was in it. I was in the body. So I think it was a past life.
Rachel Dratch
Wow.
Izzy McKella
But after, like, I had done more meditations on that, and I don't know if it's the same life cycle, but I also feel like the reason it happened was because I had been held captive by men for so long that I was really angry at the gender.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Clearly.
Izzy McKella
Clearly. Which may have trickled down into this lifetime a little bit, but. But yeah, I. It was weird. It was. I felt the rage. I felt the. It was like. I felt, like, the violence of it. And that was. It felt like I was there and it happened in a flash. Like, it's. It's this weird. It's so. It's so bizarre. It's so bizarre. On a more positive one, like, a more positive visualization, I had. Sorry, I have just so many hulu. Stories now.
Irene Bremis
No, it's good.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yeah, no, it's good. That's why we're here.
Irene Bremis
Yeah.
Izzy McKella
A positive one I had was that I did this, like, connecting with the maternal line visualization where somebody had. I had a sh. I have a shaman. I love my shaman.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Of course.
Izzy McKella
She's amazing.
Irene Bremis
That's your bumper sticker.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
That's it. I have a shaman.
Izzy McKella
I heart my shaman. Yeah, I heard my shaman. And she was doing a full, like, energy cleanse on me. And she was like, we're going to go through the mother line, and we are going to honor our. Our divine feminine and our pastel. And so, like, she did the full energy clearing. She had me step on roses. Because roses apparently love to take our energy and sacrifice themselves for us. So when you choose flowers, those flowers want to work with you. They want to help absorb your negative energy.
Rachel Dratch
I like this. I like this.
Izzy McKella
Right? That's like a.
Irene Bremis
Never heard this. I love when I hear something I've never heard before, but fantastic.
Izzy McKella
Step on the roses. Think about what you want.
Irene Bremis
The roses.
Izzy McKella
Step on the roses, and then they'll absorb it and thank them afterwards and then dispose of them. Yeah, so we did that. She did, you know, like, the. The four directions. Energy clearing. And then she. She was like, okay, here's. Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna visualize yourself. And she. She's drumming, like, full shamanic drumming as this is happening. Like, I'm laying down with, like, crystals lining my chakras. And she talks about seeing. She was like, did she say this? Or. I might have just seen it. I. I don't remember, but either way, I was giving birth. I was giving birth to. Wow.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I have a question. I'm sorry. Were you doing ayahuasca during this time, or is this, like. No ayahuasca. Okay, Just. I want. Because people. Okay. Sober. Cause people might be wondering if you're doing ayahuasca. Yeah.
Izzy McKella
Oh, don't get me wrong. I love me some mushrooms.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I love mushrooms.
Izzy McKella
Because what I like about them is it feels kind of like the sober psychedelic, because I just remember everything. All. All that it does is get me out of my brain and into the universe, and I feel more connected with the world around me. And then I remember everything that happened, and I can take it with me.
Irene Bremis
Wait, now I have mushroom questions for afterwards. Okay, shelving. I'm shelving my mushroom questions. Foreign.

Now I want to set the scene. Like, where are you? Like where do you find your shaman?
Izzy McKella
So I have a shaman.
Irene Bremis
Where does one, where does one find one's shaman? Okay.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, I found my shaman through actually a wellness center in my neighborhood. I actually honestly might have been googling shaman in nyc. And she popped and to be frank, like, because I'm Haitian, I often trust Caribbean women and she's Dominican. And so like I get, it's like total vibe based. I, I, I looked at her page and she spoke my brand of woo woo when terms of like, hey, we are our own healers. And what she says is she was like, I, I really don't do anything except except activate the healer in you. And so.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Whoa.
Izzy McKella
Right.
Irene Bremis
I need a minute on that one.
Izzy McKella
Right?
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yes. That's beautiful.
Irene Bremis
The healer activating.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Wow. This is blowing my mind. This is like crazy because I don't even know what to say. It's just that this is resonating with me so hard right now because of a personal thing that I'm working on. Like it's like, it's crazy right now.
Izzy McKella
I love that.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Go on though. I want to hear more about like you were talking about like the birthing you were about before I rudely interrupted.
Izzy McKella
There's no rudely interrupting when there's women talking woo woo. This is exciting, truly. But I also, I love that because I, I do feel like things happen. Synchronicities happen at the right moments and like the best and worst things in my life happen for not to say that like everything happens For a reason. I think that it's a little simplistic, but I do think that we hear messages when we're ready to receive them and.
Sponsor Voice
Beautiful.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yes.
Izzy McKella
Yeah. And so anyway, so I'm with my shaman in her studio. This is. I've had a couple sessions with her so far. She really got me through a tough heartbreak and like health stuff and recalibrated my trust within myself because that had really eroded. And so it was all about like using ancestral wisdom and ancient healing from like she goes to shamans in the. She trained with shamans in the. In. In Peru. Like that's where she learned. And that's also something I clock too, is like, are you new age woo woo or are you ancient? Because I want the ancient shit. I want that. Good, good, good. Generations practiced woo woo.
Rachel Dratch
Yeah.
Izzy McKella
So I'm in her studio, it's probably like 7pm sun is already set. There is. Sage has been lit. I'm lying on her table. She brings out. I've stepped on the roses. She brings out the drum and she's banging on the drum. And it's the. This particular meditation is about healing the divine feminine mind. And going up that side. And I saw myself giving birth to a baby girl. And like up until this point I didn't know if I wanted to be a mother or not. But I like burst into tears and I see my mother standing over me while I'm holding this baby. And then her mother. And then I realized if I kept looking up, I could see all the mothers. And then it was like I got this like flash. It was again a weird channeled visualization that I can't really explain, but I got flashes of all of these women's lives. It was like one woman was a warrior in. In the. In felt Celtic. She felt like she was in. It was. It was a frosted fight, like battle. And she was older. I saw somebody giving birth in the woods. I saw this. This is the one that was like really interesting to me. And there's a story about this. I knew she was Spanish and she was like probably 18 years old and she was getting, getting some in a. In an old palace by a guard. And she felt.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Sounds sexy.
Izzy McKella
It was very sexy. And I was like, go, go girl. Anyway, so I got like a bunch of these flashes, but that one particularly stuck with me. And for whatever reason I knew that like it was in Sevilla, Spain. And I knew that she wasn't. She was like a palace. Like I. She felt like a scullery maid almost. I didn't know who she was, but she felt exciting, interesting. Patu. I'm at the National Portrait gallery in Washington, D.C. three years later.
Irene Bremis
Embracing. Embracing. Go ahead.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Emotional impact.
Izzy McKella
Have I took a picture? I'm going to have to pull this up because I need. Anyway, I'm walking through the National Portrait Gallery, which is lovely and so beautiful, and. And the way the National Portrait Gallery is, it's like these giant arches that you can see, like, across the museum through galleries. And I remember I was walking through a hallway, and I looked to the left and on the other side of the museum, I saw this portrait of this young girl looking out the window. And my immediate thought was, oh, my God, it's her. It's her. And so I walk up to this portrait. I have to pull this out because I have to. I have to read you the plaque, what the plaque said. And I remembered Sivia Spade. I remembered scullery made. And I also remember that it felt like. Like 15th, 16th century. I don't know exactly what. But she also was, like, staring out the window, looking all seductive, and there was a woman behind her who was her chaperone, it seemed. And I. I was just so taken by her. Okay. I found it. Okay. So I'm gonna. I don't know if you can see us. This is the picture. This is a portrait.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Ooh.
Izzy McKella
Of this woman. And I was like, interesting. And I just felt like it was her. And then I'll read you the description. So the painter is Bartolome Esteban Murillo. It's called two women at a window, circa 1655. Two women watch us from her large window. The younger one rests her arms on the ledge and smiles. The older woman hides behind a shawl, but her mischievous eyes peek out. The relationship is unclear. The standing figure might be a relative or a chaperone. In the 1600s, it was considered inappropriate for women to be seen at a window. Doing so might signal sexual availability. Why do they look at us so openly now? As then, we must guess their intentions. Bartolome Murillo, an artist in Sevilla, Spain, was known for his religious painting. He also produced many scenes based on everyday life. Like this. This one. Wow.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Crazy.
Izzy McKella
Chills. It was chills. Crazy. And so I was like. I don't know why she came to me, but I was like, I know her. And I just, like, knew. I knew being in the museum, that was her. So, yeah, I have had a lot of, like, woo, woo. Like that.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yeah.
Rachel Dratch

Izzy McKella
My day kicks off with the
Irene Bremis
your flash of all these women. Like to me hearing you say it.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
And hearing about other past lives and like, like to me that sounds real. That sounds like you tapped into some to something consciousness.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, yeah.
Irene Bremis
And that you got these little glimmers. Like it almost feels like you plugged into some like computer system or something and you got this download of your ancestors or something like that.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, that's exactly what it feels like. And it only happens when I'm not trying. Right, right. Like it's actually very similar to acting, honestly. Like in the sense that like I am only good when I stop trying. Yeah. Second, I'm trying to push or repeat a beat or try to get a laugh. Like it doesn't work. But when I'm in, in flow state, I have no, I'm really not in control. I'm just listening and it works. And I feel like as I've gotten older, I've gotten better at getting into that flow state and trusting. But like it's cool. I mean it happened. Like another crazy one that happened was I was at this breath work retreat. I was training to become a breathwork teacher.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, wow.
Izzy McKella
In a session I got a flash of a boy's face that I didn't know and then a lion. And I was like, huh, okay. Don't know what that means. Cut to the assistant of the teacher had lost her son. He. He committed suicide. And. And she had gone through so much work to really heal from that. I mean like, I can't even imagine the pain of losing a child. But she showed me her phone picture and she was like, this is my Leo. And it was the face I saw and his name was Leo. And I said, okay, so I'm just gonna tell you this. This happened. And she said she didn't seem surprised. You know, it was funny. She was like, you know what's funny? You're the only person I felt compelled to show this picture to.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
And I was, like, connecting to you. There's, like, a connection happening, you know?
Izzy McKella
Yeah. I mean, and she was directly across from me in the room when that happened. So I don't know. It's one of those things where I'm like, okay, it is in my blood. It is in my family. And if. If I really. If I continued my education past my sophomore year at witchy school, I could
Irene Bremis
probably get a degree also. It sounds like, well, I've only done a meditation thing one time, and I'll tell you in a second. But it does feel like when you do these kind of guided meditations or the breath work, you do tap into this bigger higher consciousness thing, and you seem to get these flashes and downloads. And that's a really cool concept because it's something like you said. I mean, I had one little experience, but it seems like if you almost practice it or work on it or maybe, like you said, not trying, but if you open yourself up to being in this available state, maybe it happens more and more. I don't know.
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
I don't know anything about this.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Well, I have the breath work.
Irene Bremis
The chair recognizes Irene.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Sorry, the chair recognizes Irene.
Irene Bremis
The chair recognizes Irene.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Okay. I was gonna say the breath work. I've tried the breath work before, and breath work is really great because it gets you in that very relaxed state where you're not blocking yourself. We often block ourselves with negative thoughts. We have, like, thousand, thousands, countless, immeasurable, innumerable amounts of negative thoughts. Without even trying, they're just flashing. So when you relax. So it's just a reminder that. Just getting to that point of comfort, whatever that means for you and however you can get there, whether it's through. Through meditation, like Rachel was talking about a breath work, which I should continue. I'm too neurotic for breath work, as you can see. So breath work is something that can really calm you down, like, really get you in touch with yourself, that you can start tapping into these other state places and connections.
Izzy McKella
Totally. Totally. And it's so hard when you have these rectangles that are taking all of our attention. And we're getting texts every day, and we're in these jobs that require so much. We're getting so much sensory input and output. It's so hard to hear yourself think. So, yes, I'VE had these experiences, but it's. They're not few and far between, but they are. They don't happen unless I make the space to, like, disconnect from.
Irene Bremis
That's what I was about to ask, because it sounds like breath work to me. Always. Like, I just find it so boring, and then I can't. I can't stick.
Rachel Dratch
I mean, I've hyperventilate.
Irene Bremis
This type of thing that you're saying. But, I mean, even to try to like. Like any sort of meditative exercise that just starts with breathing, I just. I have breathing resistance.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Me too.
Irene Bremis
Meditation and sitting still, and I get it totally.
Izzy McKella
The first time I did it, I. I went to, like. I did a retreat in Indonesia. And the. The. The. The. It was very fun. I. I will do that. I will travel for anything. Traveling is my favorite thing to do.
Irene Bremis
I love that. Me too.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, the best. And this. The. The. The meditation leader was my first time doing, like, 45 minutes, and I have never been more uncomfortable in my life. And it ended, and the man went, you have many monkeys running around your brain.
Rachel Dratch
Yeah, I like that.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Wow. But also, another thing that I want to say, Izzy, is the fact that you're, you know, a lot of people. I have a friend that just went on an ayahuasca retreat to Peru. Actually. She went. She wanted me to go with her. I'm afraid to do ayahuasca. People take ayahuasca. You know, I mean, I almost, like, listen, I don't know. I'm. She's always trying to get me to go with her, and I love her dearly. She went, and she said it really changed her life. The reason why I asked if you're doing ayahuasca, because ayahuasca, as you, I'm sure you well know, taps you into this visceral place where you can unlock all these visions and these connections, but you're doing it through breathing techniques. And I think that's more important because it's like Rachel said, you know, when you start to practice, you know something, I believe that you then can tap into it readily instead of having to take, like, you know. You know, the mushroom or the mother. What is it called in the Pedro or whatever they. San Pedro, I think they take some. It's not peyote. It's, you know, the mushroom. For ayahuasca to take that. To actually get into these transcendental states where you're doing this organically through meditation. You know what I mean?
Izzy McKella
Yeah. I mean, like, I. They say about, like, the thing about ayahuasca is like mama, Aya has to call you. Like it comes. Yeah, she, she, you know, I don't think she's calling me because I don't want to vomit all night.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Like that doesn't appeal to me.
Izzy McKella
I would rather, yeah, I'll take the mushrooms. I'll do that and have a great time. But I don't need to to see giant spiders and to go through trauma to find the beauty.
Rachel Dratch
Well, I'm excited because my friends over at Osea skincare company just launched a sunscreen. I am really psyched about this because I'm always on the hunt for a mineral sunscreen. And now OSEA has come up with Marine Screen. It's a brand new mineral sunscreen that's SPF 50, lightweight, fragrance free and powered by the same seaweed that they're known for. I always try to remember to wear SPF daily, but I was looking for one that's mineral based and so this is a perfect match for me. It's lightweight and designed for daily wear. Marine Screen helps prevent visible signs of aging caused by sun exposure and it's infused with andaria, seaweed and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and smooth. Blends easily and feels comfortable enough to wear every day.
Izzy McKella
Yay.
Rachel Dratch
OSEA fans have been asking for a sunscreen for over 20 years and Marine Screen is Osea's first sunscreen. Well, the wait was worth it. Seaweed is one of nature's most powerful superfoods. Rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients. An ocea has been around a long time. Founded in Malibu in 1996, it's a mother daughter founded skincare brand which harnesses the power of seaweed and the healing wisdom of the ocean. And you know I love my osea. Well, osea's new Marine Screen is sunscreen for the sun you live in. And right now we have a special discount just for you. Irene Bremis
oh, this is just a little sidebar. Have you ever dabbled with astral projecting in your breathing experiences?
Izzy McKella
I feel like there. I have one successful astral projection. Ding, ding, ding.
Irene Bremis
I got a hit. I got a hit. Okay. Yes. I was only asking because for astral projection they say to start with breathing and stuff. So then I was wondering if maybe. Okay, but. But yes.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Natural transition, sweetie.
Izzy McKella
Yeah. It was literally one time and it was like. It was like a lucid dream. It felt. It felt like I was. Where was I? I was.
Irene Bremis
Were you actually asleep or was this in a breathing thing?
Izzy McKella
No, I was actually asleep.
Irene Bremis
Okay. Okay.
Izzy McKella
I was actually asleep and it was. I was in my parents house and it. I like got up out of my body and walked to the kitchen, but I realized I wasn't in my body and like my mom was getting ice cream out of the freezer and that was it.
Irene Bremis
You had a remote viewing of your mom?
Izzy McKella
Exactly. I was just seeing her eat the mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Irene Bremis
Okay.
Izzy McKella
So. But the next morning I woke up and I was like, would you get up and eat mint chocolate chip ice cream? And she said, how did you know that? Oh, okay.
Irene Bremis
So you got the 101 experience.
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Rachel Dratch
Next.
Irene Bremis
Moons of Jupiter.
Izzy McKella
All right. Yeah, but I have gone. I haven't gone that far. That's not. That's. Yeah, we'll see. We'll see.
Irene Bremis
We have to refer you to one of our episodes.
Izzy McKella
Okay.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Wait, I have a question.
Irene Bremis
Yes, Irene. The chair recognizes Irene. What's going on over there?
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I have a question. Have you ever had flying dreams? Because last two days ago, I had a dream where I, for the first time, felt like I literally left my body. I was on top. I saw trees very vividly. Went through one plane of existence and saw these crazy circular stars that I've never seen before. Went through a second one, a third one, a fourth one. And when I got to the fifth plane, there was a like a sheet. It felt so real, like I was not in my body at all. This happened about three days ago. And I recorded this because it was so crazy. I had like. There was like a plane, almost like placenta. And I was afraid to go through it because that was another round that was much higher. And then I started to come down. But I remember everything so vividly. So I wondered, have you ever had like a flying dream? And I did it. I just, I. I mean, I've had flying dreams before, but not this vividly that it felt like I was literally out of my body.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, that's Incredible. Oh, my gosh. Was that fun?
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
It was amazing. But I did feel a little fear and trepidation when I was going to break through the last one. And I said, next time, I'm going right through. And then I tried, and I couldn't do it again since, like, I couldn't make myself fly again. I couldn't do it, you know, because it's. You know, I'm trying to will it. And like you said, it's just. It's got to be like a, you know, spontaneous kind of.
Izzy McKella
It's so hard not to try, especially when you experience it. You're like, I want that high again. But, no, I have. I've flown in dreams. I've never gone through layers and seen stars. I get to the point where I'm flying above trees, and I feel the exhilaration, and I'm so excited that I wake myself up because I realize I'm dreaming and I'm flying. So I need to discipline myself to be comfortable with the flying.
Irene Bremis
Oh, man. We really need, like. I have so many questions, but it's probably too much. But one question was about the mushroom.
Izzy McKella
Yes.
Irene Bremis
About.
Rachel Dratch
Yes.
Irene Bremis
I've never done.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, we're gonna do it. Let's try it. I'll hold your hands.
Izzy McKella
You should do it.
Rachel Dratch
We should do it.
Irene Bremis
Like, we should record it for the pod. Our visions.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, my God.
Irene Bremis
The episode is called Dratch on Shrooms.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, we're shrooming. Shrooming with. With Dratchy and. And Sweetie. Yes.
Izzy McKella
That I would. I would pay big money to listen to that. It is okay. I love shrooms so much, I started doing them. I don't do them all the time. I do them, like, once a quarter. I'm actually due for another trip, but I. The first time I did shrooms was actually in New York City, and I was 23. And I think the misconception with shrooms is that unless you're taking, like, a really giant dose, you're not hallucinating, right?
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Not at all.
Irene Bremis
Okay.
Izzy McKella
It's just, like, energy. So, like, for example, I saw it, and your. Your vision gets, like. It turns into hd. So, for example, I was looking at the trees in Central park, and all of a sudden, it looked like pointillism. Like George Seurat like pointillism. I was like, oh, my God. Everything was just high definition. And I could. You can. I stared at a grasshopper once for about 30 minutes.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
An hour. Yes.
Rachel Dratch
Yes.
Izzy McKella
I stared at my dog's nostrils for a long time. There was one time My friend. If. My friend and I did shrooms in my bedroom, and we put on the Beatles and we let. We were like, john, you curate the playlist. John Lennon. We were like, john, curate the playlist. And it totally corresponded to, like, what we were talking about, what we're going through. I think the most intense visualization I've had on shrooms, though, is I was sitting by the Hudson river and I was looking at the water, and it looked. The water started looking like a discoloration, go above. So everything was. Was kind of insulated, shimmery, lighting up. Then I started seeing faces. And it was. I would see, like, faces of people I didn't know. And it was like hundreds of faces phasing on the water. And I realized that, like, if I. As I looked up onto the tree line, I could still see faces everywhere. And it felt like, am I seeing. I remember the feeling was like I was literally getting. My energy was, like, rising out of my body, and I was. It felt like connection to spirit. Like, it felt like there was a giant hot light that, like, exploded from my head. And I wasn't afraid, but I just. It was like. It was like the imprints of all the spirits either past, present, future, I don't know. And then I saw these, like, two giant eyes straight ahead of me that felt very Egyptian. And I was like, hi, Mama. I felt like Isis. Like, I was like, hi, Mama Goddess. This is me. This is my highest self. This is you. And I was just like. I just, like, had this knowing that that was that. And so, yeah, I also can feel trees breathe when I'm on shrooms.
Rachel Dratch
Yeah, that makes sense, though.
Izzy McKella
It does.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
But you know what's cool?
Izzy McKella
That feeling has stayed since getting off shrooms. So, like, if I, like, hold a tree long enough and, like. Fun fact. If you put your forehead to a tree, you can feel, like, it's pulse. You can, like, sense it. That's my shroom.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I'm putting that to the test as soon as we're done here. I'm gonna try that because it seems
Irene Bremis
like you're gonna stick your head on a tree.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I'm gonna go stick my head on a tree. Izzy. I've done shrooms. I've done my share of shrooms. When I was in college and in high school, I used to shroom here and there. And I'd never had a hallucination either. Oh, sweetie. I was a wild.
Rachel Dratch
I don't know what you were up
Irene Bremis
to shrooming in high school. We went to high school together. By the way, we did.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I didn't shroom regularly in high school. I did it a couple of times. Anyway, we did. We did a little bit of shrooming. And then in college, I was a deadhead, as my mother used to say. Grateful. Dreadful gratefuls, she used to call them. Anyway, and so then I did my share of shrooming then, and I never saw anything. You're right. It's just everything is vibrating, though.
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Irene Bremis
There's like.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
You can see the life force of things. That's what it is. Like, you see.
Izzy McKella
Yeah.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
It's like. It's like you said, high definition. And then vibrations. You see the vibrations of things, so it's crazy. And then you shroom, and then you come off. You come up and down. It's not like you're on constant being on a high trip the whole time. It's like it happens, and then you come back down again. And that's what I like. Because otherwise you might think you're losing your mind on a permanent trip for life, sweetie. And I can't have that. Yeah.
Izzy McKella
Thank you. And there's no hangover whatsoever. It's just. It's just like.
Rachel Dratch
All right, sold.
Irene Bremis
Irene, let's get the recording equipment, a body of water, a tree, and maybe even a video camera for this one. Dratch on shrooms, sweetie.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Let's do it.
Izzy McKella
Yes.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, my God, I love that.
Irene Bremis
Well, I have so many more questions, but I'm gonna save them for part two when we force you to come back.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, man. You need to come back.
Izzy McKella
Oh, my God.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I'd love to get your. Your cousin on, though. I'd love to get her on. You think she'd ever. Come on. I mean, she said. Yeah, I think she would, sweetie.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, she totally would. I think this is the thing. Like, I think it's important to be skeptical because there are so many people.
Irene Bremis
Charlotte.
Izzy McKella
Yes. Charlatans.
Rachel Dratch
Charlotte.
Izzy McKella
Like, I take everything with a grain of salt, even for my cousin, too. Like, I'm like, we'll see. And so I don't invest too heavily in what gets said to me unless it comes to pass or unless I find, like, the message to be. To resonate later down the line. But, like, yeah, it's good to be skeptical because there are a lot of people that are like, here's this very vague detail. And also being in the public eye, there's like, what could you have researched, too, about me?
Rachel Dratch
That's a good point, too.
Irene Bremis
Wait. Okay, so a couple more things.
Izzy McKella
Yes.
Irene Bremis
One is guessing.
Rachel Dratch
Sign.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Oh, yeah. I Got it.
Izzy McKella
Sure, sure, sure.
Irene Bremis
Of course.
Rachel Dratch
The pendulum.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Okay, I've got the guessing signs. I've got three. I do. I absolutely do. I've got three. It's gotta be one of the three. I'm that sure that it's gotta be one of the three, and I'm just gonna go with it. It's either Taurus Cancer or it's either Taurus Cancer or Libra.
Izzy McKella
Okay, you got my. My moon sign is in Taurus.
Rachel Dratch
Uh huh.
Izzy McKella
But not the other two. My sign is. Yeah. I'm a Gemini. Oh, my son is a Gemini. My moon is in Taurus and my rising's in Capricorn.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Okay, let's do this again. Except I'm gonna. No, I'm just kidding. We're not that kind of a show, sweetie.
Irene Bremis
Wow.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Well, I'm hit or miss.
Izzy McKella
Well, you got.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Right.
Izzy McKella
So like, you got my, like, private self. You got who I am.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
You're like the crux of who you are. That's right. Let's ham this up a little.
Irene Bremis
So that means your birthday is coming right up.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yeah.
Izzy McKella
June 15th.
Irene Bremis
June 15th. And so what are Gemini women?
Rachel Dratch
Like?
Irene Bremis
I don't know. Larger than life as a Gemini lady.
Izzy McKella
Yeah. We're chaotic. Good. Like, I feel like Libra. So I guess Libra was close because it's air signs and it is the duality. But whereas Libras are balanced, we just feel extreme. So like we have high highs and low lows. We are effective communicators. We can be the life of the party. Definitely have adhd. But. But also like, I feel like I'm introvert. Yeah. Yeah. I'm totally. Like, I. I enjoy being with people. And then I hit my. My max and then I have to. I have to duck out. But okay. Yeah, yeah, we're a good time.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
I'm gifted. I'm gifted.
Izzy McKella
You are.
Rachel Dratch
You're gifted.
Izzy McKella
But I get my like, grounded roots. Like when I'm home and I'm like the people who know me most know like the. Get into the earth and talk. Yeah.
Irene Bremis
So, Irene, I don't know how we're going to edit around that.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
We can't edit around that. We're just going to have to leave the part in about her moon being Taurus, sweetie. Because as far as I'm concerned, your moon is who you are in your soul.
Rachel Dratch
We kind of have a joke about this.
Izzy McKella
Yeah, that's true.
Irene Bremis
Okay. Your moon is who you are.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yeah, it's who you are.
Irene Bremis
Do you have a question for the Pendulum? A yes or no?
Izzy McKella
Yes. Yes. Okay. Okay. I got it. Okay.
Irene Bremis
You ready?
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Okay.
Irene Bremis
Okay. I have an.
Izzy McKella
I got mine.
Rachel Dratch
I have a yes.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Yes, yes. We both got. Yeah,
Izzy McKella
that's funny.
Irene Bremis
What was it?
Izzy McKella
I asked if my cousin and I will be on the Amazing Race at some point.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Well, get ready.
Irene Bremis
I didn't know that. Was that a thing in the. In the cards?
Izzy McKella
No, it's really not. It's just I. I started watching it when I was sick, and I've become obsessed, and my cousin and I are big travelers, and we're also very good at puzzles and we joke. I was like, I think we could totally win this. This competition show.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
Well, get ready.
Irene Bremis
Is this the medium Cousin?
Izzy McKella
No, different one.
Irene Bremis
Okay, different one. Well, you love to travel. You're very camera ready and good storyteller.
Izzy McKella
Thank you.
Irene Bremis
I mean, I feel like you'd be fun to watch do this stuff.
Izzy McKella
And we would talk about too. I was watching a show, I was like, we would laugh a lot more than these people do. They take it way too seriously.
Irene Bremis
All right, let's put it out there.
Izzy McKella
Yeah. Okay, great.
Irene Bremis
I mean, let's.
Irene Bremis (alternate mic or co-host)
It's happening. It's happening.
Irene Bremis
Izzy and her cousin on the Amazing Race, and she said yes. Let's match the vibes with the universe and make it so.
Izzy McKella
Izzy and Viv on the Amazing Race. Let's go.
Irene Bremis
All right, so you can see Izzy currently starring on Broadway. Not to be missed this performance.
