We wow on the weekend. We wow on the weekend. We wow on the weekend. Cause this is what we do on the weekend. Talking, laughing, me and Reggie singing, laughing. And then we. Oh wait, no, I said laughing twice. Whatever. We wow on the weekend. Yeah. We wow on the weekend. Laugh, clap. We wow on the weekend. Cause this is what we do on the weekend. Hello and welcome to Wee Wow on the Weekend. I'm your host, Dennis and that's Reggie. Say hi Reggie. This is the show where we chit chat and answer questions from our fans and listen to Tinkercast podcasts. Hey Reggie, read any good books lately? Oh yeah. What are you reading? The Sword of the Wings. Ooh, what's that about? Magic birds who go on a quest together to destroy a super evil in a volcano. Wow, that sounds amazing. What am I reading? I'm reading the Life and Times of Me, Dennis. Why yes, I did write it. It's my memoir. Okay, fine, it's my diary, but I do dramatic readings to myself whenever I feel like taking a trip down memory lane. Well, why don't I read some for you real quick? Let me get my book out. Dear Diary, today was another amazing day. I hid out in Guy Raz's oversized tote bag for my morning snoop. Did you know that Guy Raz is secretly afraid of jelly beans? Hehe. Then I went out to lunch with Reggie. We both got cheeseburgers and when Reggie wasn't looking, I ate half his fries and drank some of his root beer fluff. Reggie, be quiet. You love sharing. Okay, once I finally stopped burping from all that lunch root beer, I went home for dinner with mother and my three hour bed bedtime routine. Sweet dreams Diary. The End by Dennis. Pretty great book, huh? Oh, good idea. Let's move on and hear from our devoted listeners with a Q and A segment. Ahem, the Q and A segment. Alright, let's just get the old answering machine pulled up here. Okay, here we go. Hi, you've reached Dennis from WEW on the weekend. That's me. Do you have a question? Well, I do too. Lots of them. And who's gonna answer all my questions?
Grandma GeForce
You?
Dennis
Probably not. But I guess I can answer yours. Leave me a message.
Mindy
Hi, Debbies. My name is Samuel. I live in Mountain View, California.
Dennis
Hi, Samuel.
Mindy
I have a riddle for you.
Dennis
Oh, boy, a riddle. Hit me, Samuel.
Mindy
I have a mouth, but I don't eat. I run, but don't walk. I have a bed, but I don't sleep. What am I?
Dennis
Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. Let me think. You have a mouth, but you don't eat. You run, but you don't walk. You have a bed, but you don't sleep. Huh, Reggie? Give me a minute. My brain gears are spinning. My neurons are disco dancing. Think, Dennis, think. Oh, I know. Mother's vroomba. The vroomba, Reggie. The little robot vacuum cleaner that Mother keeps in the living room. Yeah, it has a mouth that sucks up all the pennies, but it doesn't eat them. It runs into walls. And it has a bed on its charging station. What? Recharging is not the same as sleeping. Okay, fine. I guess recharging is kinda like sleeping. I give up. What's the answer, Samuel?
Mindy
Answer. A river.
Dennis
Ah, a river. I was so close. Yes, I was, Reggie. Next question.
Mindy
Hi, Dennis. My name's Cooper.
Dennis
Cooper? Cooper. I'm not sure if I know a Cooper.
Mindy
I'm Jordan's brother.
Dennis
Oh, Jordan's brother Cooper. Yeah. Hi, Jordan. Hi, Cooper.
Mindy
And my question is, do you go to the library sometimes?
Dennis
Do I go to the library sometimes? Great question. Of course I go to the library sometimes. I love the library and the library loves me. Okay, fine. Sometimes. All the time. I get shushed at the library, but I still love the library. There's a whole snooping section with book after book filled with the intimate details of people's lives. Right, the biography section. The Life and Times of Me. Dennis should be in there. Oh, so what if they're not published? We could just go to the library and put my diaries on the shelves. Right. First I have to take out all the embarrassing stuff. Like the time I accidentally put my rollerblades on the wrong feet and lost control and rolled into a duck pond. Or the time I was in a duck pond and the duck started pecking at my mustache. Or the time when a mama duck once made a nest in my hair and I had to walk around with duck eggs in my head for a full month. Yeah, the ducklings were pretty cute, though. Next Question.
Mindy
Hi, Dennis. I'm seven years old. My name is Sophia and I live in Eastville, California.
Dennis
Hi, Sophia.
Mindy
And my question is, how many teeth does a shark have?
Dennis
Ooh. Good. Question, Sophia, how many teeth does a shark have? Well, I think the only way to know for sure is to count them. Okay, Reggie, go count all the teeth in a shark's mouth, please. What? No, I'm not gonna do it. I'm too scared. You do it. No, you do it. Okay, fine, I'll count the teeth. Go get me a shark. What do you mean, no? Reggie, if I'm counting the teeth, you have to do your part and get the shark. Thank you. What kind of shark do I want? I don't know. Well, how many kinds are there? Hundreds. Hundreds of kinds of sharks. This is getting complicated. Let's just say the average number of teeth sharks have is a million. Oh, you think it's less than a million? Well, how about 12? Too low. Okay, got it. So, Sophia, I think sharks have somewhere between 12 and a million teeth. Hope that helps. Thanks for your calls, everyone. If you've got a question for me, call and leave me a message. The number is 1-888-I just might answer your question on We Wow on the weekend. Okay, that takes care of that. Next up is a little segment I like to call Inside Tinkercast Studios.
Mindy
Ahem.
Dennis
Inside Tinkercast Studios. This is the part where we revisit an episode of one of my favorite Tinkercast shows. And today we're listening to. Oh, what's this one? This is an episode of Once Upon a Beat. How did this get in here? Yeah, it's that show where DJ Fuchs tells old stories and fairy tales, but also he remixes them. And then there's rap music, and it's so cool. I don't think we've ever listened to Once Upon a Beat before. Should we do it? Yay. Okay, this looks like it's from season one, episode 18 called. Oh, no, bro, it's Abby. Yo, yo. Okay, here we go.
DJ Fuchs
And Play.

Grandma GeForce
What up, what up, what up? Hey everybody. I'm DJ Fuch, the numero uno hip hop fairy godfather with the unmatchable flow. I'm here with Baby Scratch, my amazing turntable. Hit em up, Baby Scratch.
Dennis
Let's go.
Grandma GeForce
You know what it is? I'm all about remixing fairy tales, folk tales and fables. And today I'm hitting up a South African folktale about a high spirited ukulele playing little boy and his practical joke loving magician dad. There's also a giant who comes and starts to create all kinds of havoc in their village. The giant's name is Abby Yoy. That's right, Baby Scratch. He's a big hairy dude who walks the land alone with a bad attitude. This folk tale has been handed down from generation to generation and we're gonna remix and repeat. That's how we do it on Once Upon a Beat. Once upon a time, a very long long time ago in a South African village, elders would tell the story of of Abby Yoyo. He was a giant so big that he could block the sun in the sky and so hungry that he could eat everything as far as you could see with your own eyes. But no one believed that such a creature could actually exist. I mean, it couldn't be real. Not a giant like this. In one village there lived a father and his young son. The son we will call Ehsani because he was a rebellious one. The father we'll call Nafassi. As he was a lover of good times. He had a very big laugh and a smile that would shine. Nafazi and Asani loved their life in the village. Every day from sunup to sundown, Asani would walk from one end to the other end of town with his prized ukulele. He never put it down.
Mindy
Ukulele time.
Grandma GeForce
He danced through town, strumming and walking. Music was his language, and his ukulele did the talking. He played it as loudly as he could, which was probably a little louder than he should in school if the teacher was about to say an important thing.
Mindy
Okay, so the reason why thunder sounds.
Grandma GeForce
So loud is because if someone was sharing good news. Everyone gather round.
Dennis
I have great news.
Grandma GeForce
Jabari has more ukulele time. Or news that was bad.
Dennis
Oh, I am so sorry to have.
Reggie
To tell everyone that.
Mindy
Still, ukulele time.
Grandma GeForce
Asani would strum his ukulele as loud as he ever had, even when there was no news at all. If you just wanted to take a nap or make a phone call or. Yes, the ukulele. Again.
Dennis
Again.
Grandma GeForce
Baby scratch. It made it very difficult to concentrate on anything anyone wanted to do. His father has an amazing talent too. He was a wizard with a wand. But there was only one trick he could do. And he did that same trick over and over again, sometimes at the expense of his friends.
DJ Fuchs
Hello, my friend.
Grandma GeForce
Hello, Nafasi.
DJ Fuchs
I see you've got a cold glass of water to drink. Yes.
Dennis
Perfect refreshment for a hot day, I think. What?
Grandma GeForce
My glasses vanished without a trace.
DJ Fuchs
But you still have the water.
Dennis
Yeah.
DJ Fuchs
In my face.
Grandma GeForce
Having your hair braided.
DJ Fuchs
Thank you for doing my hair. It looks like it's missing. There's nothing up there. Surprise. Not funny, Nafasi.
Grandma GeForce
After each trick, his neighbors tried to get Nafasi to quit. But Nafasi would laugh, a giant laugh.
DJ Fuchs
Saying hey, hey, we're all having such a good time we can't stop, not even a little bit.
Mindy
Yeah.
DJ Fuchs
Ha ha ha ha. It's a Sonny and a Fosse in.
Mindy
The place to be, you know it. Rocking my music, doing my magic and I know that they love us.
DJ Fuchs
Uh huh.
Mindy
And if they don't, what? We're gonna do it anyway.
DJ Fuchs
Ha ha ha.
Mindy
Be a musician.
DJ Fuchs
Yeah. Everybody's wishing to meet a magician Making.
Mindy
My music hit, that's my vision Rocking.
DJ Fuchs
A magic trick, that's my mission Everybody's watching now and when we listen they.
Mindy
Say we're the worst but we know that they're kids who's better?
DJ Fuchs
Whatever.
Mindy
It's not a competition. It's me, though.
DJ Fuchs
No, it isn't. It's me.
Mindy
Man, you trippin. Yeah, I do my thing People smile at my style when I strum my.
DJ Fuchs
Strings there's not much difference between a smile and a grimace when you play the grimace in about two minutes.
Mindy
Yo, stop lyin' I'm Dope without trying. I hypnotize it. I make the. The crowd goes silent, yeah, but it's.
DJ Fuchs
Not cause they're holding their breath. The crowd goes silent because they all laugh. I'm just kidding, kid. Don't scream. You're a star like your pops. It's all in the jeans, yo.
Mindy
Whatever. Your card tricks get no respect. People say that you're not playing with a full deck.
DJ Fuchs
Nah, they always clap at the end of my act.
Mindy
Yeah, they clap. Cause you're finally done. That's a fact.
DJ Fuchs
Take it back.
Mindy
I'm just messing with you, man. I know you understand. I'm your number one.
DJ Fuchs
Yeah, I'm your number one, too. I'm your only one. It's just me and the crowd. It's so lonely, son.
Mindy
Well, at least I got one. You got none. Your crowd runs, why you scream?
Dennis
Wait, I'm not done.
Mindy
I got you.
DJ Fuchs
No, I got you.
Mindy
It's funny.
DJ Fuchs
It's funny because it's not true.
Mindy
We get all the respect.
DJ Fuchs
We're so popular.
Mindy
You're the best.
DJ Fuchs
No, you're the best.
Mindy
Ah, stop it. Sir. What a great decision to be a musician.
DJ Fuchs
Yeah. Everybody's wishing to meet a magician.
Mindy
Making my music hit, that's my vision.
DJ Fuchs
Rocking a magic trick, that's my mission. Everybody's watching now.
Mindy
And when we listen, they say we're the worst.
DJ Fuchs
But we know that who's better? Whatever.
Mindy
It's not a competition. It's me though.
DJ Fuchs
But it's me.
Mindy
Hey, listen.
Grandma GeForce
Do Nafasi and Asani get the hint? They do not. And all their friends and neighbors were hot. Asani and Nafasi refused to understand that the neighbors had had enough of the noise and the tricks.
Dennis
Ugh.
Mindy
I'd rather dance with Abayoyo than put up with any more of this.
Dennis
Ferucci, is there any way we can.
Mindy
Get them to change?
Dennis
We've tried polite suggestions, but their obsession is strange.
Mindy
Well, if we can't change them, then we need a plan. We need to make them leave town as fast as they can. Perhaps there's a web we could weave. A tiny deception to get them to leave.
Grandma GeForce
They thought up a plan and they put it in play. When Ahsani came home from school the next day, he saw something taped to his door. A note. And his face broke into a grin when he read what they wrote. He pocketed the paper and turned around quick and ran back to the town, to his father mid trick.
Dennis
Father. Father, look.
DJ Fuchs
Oh, don't interrupt me, son. You can't disturb me now. This Is my the biggest trick ever. A vanishing cow.
Dennis
Wow, a cow.
Mindy
Your skills are getting better. I just thought you should know we got this letter.
DJ Fuchs
It's a message from the mayor and the town committee. We've been invited to a talent contest in a faraway city. They heard all about your ukulele and my tricks. But the contest starts soon, so we have to leave quick. I guess folks in the town must have been talking and bragging because they're even willing to give us a mule and a wagon.
Mindy
Woo hoo.
Dennis
Ah. Reggie. Reggie. What happened? But why did once upon a beat cut out? And now why is it you singing karaoke? Reggie, you recorded your karaoke songs over the tape? Yes, of course. You sound great. But now we can't listen to the rest of the Yabby Yoyo story. Hang on, let me turn this off. Well, what happens next? Do Asani and Nafasi leave town? Do the townspeople realize that they're actually super cool and not annoying? And who is Abby Yoyo? I have to know, Reggie. I have to know. Oh, really? We can just listen to it on there. Okay, great listeners. You can listen to the rest of. Oh no, bro. It's Abby. Yo yo on Once Upon a Beat. Wherever you get your podcasts. Reggie, I've got an idea. We should ask DJ Fewch to be on the show. Yeah. Huh? Why wouldn't he want to be on our show? This is one of the top daytime weekend talk shows recorded in a basement. Okay, well, let's wrap up the show and call DJ Fuch himself and ask if he wants to come on the show. Thanks to all you listeners out there for tuning in to Wee Wow on the weekend. If you have a question for me, call and leave me a message at 1-888-7-WOW-WOW. That's 1-888-7-WWOW Wow. I just might answer your question on We Wow on the weekend. Okay, should we do the goodbye song? Here we go. That's the end of the show. I need to go and call DJ Fuge and ask him to come down to the basement so I can interview him and find out all his secrets from my devoted listener. But I'll do another show tomorrow. But for now, that's the end of the show.
Mindy
Bye.
