Jameela Jamil
Hello and welcome to Wrong Turns. This is a show where dignity goes to die, where we do not try to turn any kind of miserable moment into an inspiring anecdote. This is where shit just happens. Sometimes I bring on my favorite funny people and today I have joining me two hilarious comedians, writers and actors. Together they host the incredible podcast Guys We Fucked. It's Christina Hutchinson and Corinne Fisher. Hello.
Christina Hutchinson
Hello.
Jameela Jamil
Hello. Is it Corinne or Corinne?
Corinne Fisher
Well, I mean, I thought you were just saying it with your accent and it sounded nice.
Christina Hutchinson
I was. She says, like Holiday Inn. My name spelt so up that people, they mispronounce and misspell her name all the time.
Corinne Fisher
People just straight up call me Corny. Sometimes.
Christina Hutchinson
The minute. Every time I get into an Uber
Corinne Fisher
and they say Corny and I go, a lot of people think so, yeah, man, Corny Y.
Jameela Jamil
That's it. I just wanted to make it French. Yeah. With the.
Corinne Fisher
What is French? It's a French name.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you're right.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah, that.
Jameela Jamil
Is that where you're from?
Corinne Fisher
No, I'm from New Jersey, which is, I would say, a lot different than France.
Christina Hutchinson
No, there are some similarities.
Jameela Jamil
I've never met you in person, but I'm a huge fan from afar.
Christina Hutchinson
Oh, thank you.
Jameela Jamil
My other podcast before, can you explain guys we fucked? To anyone who hasn't listened yet.
Corinne Fisher
Well, in the beginning days, it was pretty self explanatory. We brought on guys that we fudged and we said, how was that? That was it.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
How was that relationship? And then it has since progressed into a more open conversation about sexual and mental health. And, you know.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, we talked about all you. You don't run out of topics when it comes to sex. You think you would, but we've been doing 11 years strong and we do not run out of topics.
Jameela Jamil
And you're not interviewing lovers anymore.
Christina Hutchinson
No, no.
Jameela Jamil
Did it get weird?
Corinne Fisher
Well, we just ran out.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah, we're, we're, I'm like men in New York City.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
Well, I know because once you do. I've never had less sex than when we started doing the podcast.
Jameela Jamil
Do you think the podcast put you off sex? A little bit?
Corinne Fisher
For me, yes.
Christina Hutchinson
For me, no.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, wait, wait.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Corinne, why did it put you off sex?
Corinne Fisher
Because it becomes your job and you know, Americans will do anything to not do our job.
Christina Hutchinson
So I was just like, that's damn straight. Right?
Corinne Fisher
Yeah, that's American way. So I just, Yeah, I just, we talked about it so much. I would like to talk about truly anything else at this point.
Jameela Jamil
Are you thinking while fucking that like, this is gonna be a bit.
Christina Hutchinson
Oh, that sounds terrible.
Jameela Jamil
I mean, is that, is it and is it on your mind?
Corinne Fisher
No, I'm just thinking of, I gotta make another podcast, so I should probably not be having sex and I should be doing whatever the next podcast is gonna be or.
Jameela Jamil
Do you ever try to maneuver the sex towards something that would be funny
Corinne Fisher
for the podcast Back in the, like back in the day maybe. Now I.
Christina Hutchinson
20s.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
Story.
Corinne Fisher
Not anymore.
Jameela Jamil
And it's made you hornier than ever.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Why, Christina?
Christina Hutchinson
Well, I, because I stopped being so personal on the show, so it's that sacred. Like, it's, I feel like we, we did a little era of oversharing and then everybody hopped on that train and it's like you couldn't have a conversation about your mom, about the trauma she had, unless it was like on a podcast. Mike. And which I did. And then you go, oh, wait, there's a plus side to dialing it back and just getting into other people's lives.
Jameela Jamil
Right, right, right.
Christina Hutchinson
You know, I, I, I'm curious about the human condition. So I there. Everybody's got crazy stories. I want to Hear them all.
Jameela Jamil
100%. Speaking of cr.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
When it comes to your lives in general, I know that you embrace disaster. Is it something to find you Often.
Corinne Fisher
So people say about us.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah. Does. Yeah. I'm yet to meet a comedian who doesn't slightly look forward to it.
VRBO Advertiser
Oh.
Jameela Jamil
On this show.
Corinne Fisher
Because you're like, cha Ching.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
The moment I found out my dad wasn't my biological father, I'm like, this is going to be a great bit.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
Second, that was my first thought.
Corinne Fisher
My first thought.
Christina Hutchinson
31.
Corinne Fisher
Sure.
Jameela Jamil
And how did you find out?
Christina Hutchinson
23andMe test.
Jameela Jamil
No fucking way. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Holy.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Did he know?
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Okay.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
I'm just saying I just started getting messages from people saying they were my half sibling.
Corinne Fisher
I'm like, nah.
Christina Hutchinson
Because my mom was adopted.
Corinne Fisher
That's why I did it.
Christina Hutchinson
And then I just started getting messages and my mom knew I got it for her as a Christmas present. Yeah. And then she didn't want to do it, so I did it. I know why she didn't want to do it now. And then I started getting these messages and because I'm a comic, I filmed it. I filmed me calling my mom, asking if my dad's my real dad. And I have her saying no on camera because I thought it was a joke.
Jameela Jamil
Holy fucking shit.
Christina Hutchinson
Joke.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Jealous of the bit.
Christina Hutchinson
I know.
Jameela Jamil
That's the most disgusting part of comedy. How do you feel as though you respond in the moment to disaster?
Christina Hutchinson
She's great. I almost drove us off a cliff once.
Corinne Fisher
She did. Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
And she was like, hey, you're going to drive us off a cliff.
Jameela Jamil
You should stop. I'm obsessed with this. Okay, can you give me some examples of some micro humiliations that you face being a woman?
Corinne Fisher
I do feel like it's a micro humiliation.
Jameela Jamil
Yes.
Corinne Fisher
I think we understand that everyone here self explanatory.
Christina Hutchinson
It's a macro humiliation. Yeah, yeah.
Corinne Fisher
Being a woman would be my number one micro. Oh, you know what else I think is embarrassing? Having a boyfriend.
Christina Hutchinson
So embarrassing.
Corinne Fisher
I. And I'm not. I'm joking, but I'm not joking any. Anytime someone gets a boyfriend and I have a boyfriend online, I feel like they just become embarrassing. And I'm not talking about like, love is embarrassing. Just the content gets.
Christina Hutchinson
Here we are, my aunt's wedding.
Corinne Fisher
Just like the content gets weaker online. And you're like, this is. I don't want to see this. Women when they're by themselves are so fun and interesting to watch live. And then when they cohabitate, you're like, what is this? This?
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah. Like we turn into huge losers with boyfriends. I mean, I have a boyfriend too.
Jameela Jamil
He's great by the way men think that about their friends as well.
Christina Hutchinson
Oh, really?
Jameela Jamil
That we all become pathetic losers.
Corinne Fisher
Maybe they finally have the right idea about something. Yeah, yeah, Maybe I'm on board. I don't know. I think I'm kind of a toxic man, so I don't really know. I'm already toxic man.
Jameela Jamil
Public pda.
Corinne Fisher
Public pda?
Jameela Jamil
Yeah. Like online?
Corinne Fisher
No, no, no.
Jameela Jamil
My boyfriend and I, 11 years and most people still don't know that we're dating. And I feel as though that's enough.
Corinne Fisher
I think that's a way.
Christina Hutchinson
That's nice.
Jameela Jamil
100%. There's a time where you were trying to be sexy on a zoom date.
Corinne Fisher
Oh, yeah? Yeah. I don't think so.
Christina Hutchinson
I thought. Did you just get an exclusive out of her?
Corinne Fisher
Well, so this is. I had. I usually date people who really like me and I don't like them that much. And so during COVID I decided to switch it up and date someone who I liked a lot and I don't think really liked me that much.
Christina Hutchinson
Cool.
Corinne Fisher
Thank you.
Jameela Jamil
For real, Christina.
Corinne Fisher
Thank you so much. I was like, this feels forced, not like a non consensual relationship, but it's over. Zoom. So he had a sign on, you know, and he was living in Colorado and I was living in New York City and we had started dating when we were both living in New York City. But we would just set up these zoom dates during COVID because it all happened so fast and he was stuck there. And I would try to make them like real sexy. You know, this is a time when you could order. I don't like. My version of sexy is just like ordering a picture of margarita that comes in little individual deli containers. You know, like the COVID time.
Christina Hutchinson
Jimmy Buffett.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
When we could just order. Order alcohol. Like pre mixed alcohol for much more than the alcohol would have cost if you went to the store yourself. But it just sounded like really fun. And so I had like all these deli containers of sangria out because I was just getting hammered by myself. And then I like, was he drinking? Who knows? I. I don't remember what was happening. It was. The date was really about me.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
What were you wearing and vibe?
Corinne Fisher
I was.
Jameela Jamil
I imagine you're only making an effort. Top half.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah, well, that. That's the problem. I was making an effort for the whole body. And so I was late to the date, but it didn't need to be, you know, And I had made a list on post it, notes of topics to talk about which I thought was like charming and Funny. And then he just thought it was psychotic.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, I could go either way. Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Sort of neurodiverse.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
I was just like. I was like. I thought it was like, you know, fine.
Jameela Jamil
I think it's cute. I would have enjoyed the day.
Christina Hutchinson
I don't know.
Corinne Fisher
And then I. Yeah, I put some music on, lit a candle, and, you know, I was kind of just trying to really lean into the screen. And then he was like, corinne, you're. You're hair's on fire. And I was like, hell, yeah. Yeah, it is. And he's like, no, it's. You're literally on fire right now. And I looked into the reflection of the zoom screen and my hair had ignited. And then I had to run and get a kitchen towel and kind of pack that out.
Christina Hutchinson
That wasn't on the sticky notes.
Corinne Fisher
No, that was. That wasn't on the list.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, my God. How much of your hair did you lose?
Corinne Fisher
Not. Not that much.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
I thank God to his crook. Quick reaction time. I didn't lose that much.
Jameela Jamil
Got their.
Christina Hutchinson
Both your signals was good otherwise.
Jameela Jamil
Right, Right. Yeah. It didn't freeze on a delay and she's just gone up in smoke.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah. No smell. Yeah, no, it did smell bad. You know, I mean, we used artists to burn the. Like Barbie's hair.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Burnt your ear with a. Like a hair wand.
Christina Hutchinson
Oh, yeah. And my neck.
Jameela Jamil
Can you believe what it smells like? It smells like pork. I smell like. I don't know. I've never smelled like bacon. Is that just me?
Corinne Fisher
Well, I got LASIK surgery and the one heads up that they gave was that you're gonna smell your.
Christina Hutchinson
Your, like your eye burning and so smell like. It kind of like what you bacon.
Corinne Fisher
I mean, not less bacon.
Jameela Jamil
It's like Trader Joe's notes bacon.
Corinne Fisher
A smoked product for sure. Yeah. Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
How did the day end then? Just. It ends on fire.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah. I mean, we didn't date that much longer after that, but I, you know, I felt him lose his erection. But.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah. Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
I think whenever you're having to make that much of an effort and you're having to put on a performance.
Podcast Advertising Voice
Sure.
Jameela Jamil
Of sexiness, it's probably not the one. He doesn't innately bring that out on you. It sounded more like it's. I don't know, it feels like you were doing a sort of Cher impression or something.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah. I think I just wanted to look at myself in the reflection of the zoom meeting.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah. Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
Which is probably. Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Another red flag.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
I was just really having fun with me, which was A problem.
Christina Hutchinson
That's the problem. Being a straight woman, it's like, a lot of times you're way more interesting than your date.
Jameela Jamil
Right?
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Like, right, right, right. I haven't gotten to do much dating in the world, but it's been pretty scary. There was one guy who I met in a hospital, or not a great start. We were both looking after our mothers, and he. Him and I went on a few dates, and then on my birthday, he didn't call me, and then didn't call me the day after, the day after and day after. And I was like, oh, my God, this man is dead. But he wasn't dead. He'd had an overdose of his mother's cancer painkillers. Oh, so he stole painkillers from an elderly woman?
Christina Hutchinson
Told you that.
Jameela Jamil
Told me.
Corinne Fisher
That sounds like my kind of guy.
Christina Hutchinson
What's the deal now?
Jameela Jamil
And that's cool.
Christina Hutchinson
We call dibs.
Jameela Jamil
We didn't. That's why we didn't keep dating. He told you that? Yeah, he did. Because he was still high.
Corinne Fisher
Oh.
Jameela Jamil
He just told me what happened. He was like, oh, feel sorry for me. I had an overdose and I was
Christina Hutchinson
like, on purpose, like you did.
Jameela Jamil
I stole my mother's cancer medication.
T-Mobile Advertiser
Oh, boy.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
So. Yeah, so. And that was James. And we'd been together for 11 years, but no scary times. What about you, Christina? Micro humiliation.
Christina Hutchinson
Well, speaking of meeting somebody in the hospital, I met a guy in the hospital. I took my friend to the hospital because he fainted on shrooms.
Jameela Jamil
It's a great place to meet people. Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
He was the head nurse. I'm not a friend.
Jameela Jamil
Wow.
Christina Hutchinson
And his name was Muhammad, and he looked like Johnny Depp from Pirates of the Caribbean. Like, he had all his jewelry on. You could hear him coming down the street or down the hallway.
Corinne Fisher
Nothing more trustworthy than a man with a lot of jewelry.
Christina Hutchinson
No, I loved it. Russell Brand, he was so hot. And he was the head nurse. And I'm like, who? And he comes up to our friend Justin, like, oh, you took the wrong strain. Like, he, like, was schooling him on, like, him taking mushrooms bad. And I'm like, okay. And he had. Two of his fingers were bent back like candy canes. And he later explained to me that he was a former child soldier and he grows his own mushrooms. And I'm like, my friend, you probably grow the good shit. So I got his number, and we did mushrooms on Roosevelt island in March 2020 at the end of February.
Jameela Jamil
He's a medical professional. Anything goes wrong.
Christina Hutchinson
Exactly. And he was so. Oh, he Just had this vibe about it that I'm like, ugh. And then I started scream crying right away. We did them. I started screaming right away.
Corinne Fisher
Why?
Christina Hutchinson
I don't know. And then for eight hours I just yelled, am I a good person or a bad person? And he was so freaked out. Cause he's like, people are just seeing me with this woman, like in screaming, and I gotta get. So he got me into a car. When I opened my eyes, it was a cartoon. When I closed my eyes, it was a cartoon. So that wasn't good. And then he eventually took me to my apartment. And then they called Corinne and Wendy and I was like, I want to kill myself. And they babysat me for a couple hours and I ordered us pizza. Felt like a million bucks. The months after. Oh my God, it was amazing. Terrible time. I didn't realize that psychedelics are used to like break through trauma. So I just took them. Cause I was like, ah, this is, you know, this will be a fun time. And I think they were breaking through some very traumatic memories that I. Yours
Jameela Jamil
shoved down yours is so much more dramatic than mine. My entire revelation of the whole thing was, I need to drink more bone broth. Like, what am I, Gwyneth Paltrow?
Corinne Fisher
Yeah. That's the most LA trip I've ever la.
Jameela Jamil
I was so embarrassed of it. My boyfriend took them. My boyfriend took them and he was like, yeah, these things just don't really, like, affect me. I just like. I don't know, you know, I've taken cocaine before. I didn't really make a dent. So I think, like, I think you guys are high, but I'm just fine. Meanwhile, he's taking a photo, 200 photographs of the same rose.
Christina Hutchinson
Okay. Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Texting it to everyone. Just spending an hour fixated on this rose. No, I'm not high. This is just a genuinely incredible rose. Yeah. He was off his fucking tits.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
Good for him.
Jameela Jamil
Good man. 100%.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah. It's a humiliating time. How did Muhammad react? Was there any follow up love?
Christina Hutchinson
No, no, it didn't work out between Muhammad and I, but he did come to a bunch of our comedy shows. Justin and I. Yeah, yeah. Justin and I had the comedy show at the stand that he came to a lot and he was cute, but I just, I fell for somebody else. I fell for my current guy, so.
Jameela Jamil
Oh. Oh, that's sweet. Because of your mushroom breakthrough, you probably chose someone who was better for you.
Christina Hutchinson
Maybe.
Cami
Maybe.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
Who knows? We'll go with that one.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah. Was it quite embarrassing the next Day.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, I texted him. I forget what I said. Well, it was right before the world shut down for the pandemic. And she was supposed. Corinne was supposed to go to Tulum with her best friend who was a doctor. He couldn't go anymore. So she was like, hey, glad you don't wanna kill yourself anymore. You wanna go to Tulum for 10
Corinne Fisher
days, you tried to kill yourself. You know what's good for that? Tulum. Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah. And then we went to Tulum and no one was there. And when we got back, New York shut down.
Jameela Jamil
I've never drunk alcohol. I've never been drunk ever in your life? I had, like, alcohol once by accident, but I've never experienced myself inebriated. And I think part of that is because I'm terrified of who I'm gonna become. I'm scared of who's inside.
Christina Hutchinson
Well, I've never heard that reason for why somebody doesn't.
Jameela Jamil
I have no idea what's in there.
Christina Hutchinson
Do you have a relative?
Jameela Jamil
Waited too long. And I've been through. No, but I've been through so much trauma in my life that I'm like, I don't know who or what is in there, and I just want to keep her fucking buried. And the mushrooms show that actually, it's a very boring white woman deep inside, which might be scarier than anything. You know, it's a macrobiotic. You know, just yogi in there, she's
Corinne Fisher
eating raw cinnamon rolls from Erewhon.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, 100%.
Jameela Jamil
Any of that means eating sea moss gel. That's what I'm afraid of, is inside. But on anesthetic, I lear that I'm a deviant. I recently had wisdom teeth removal. And when my boyfriend and best friend, two big men, came to carry me out because I've been under anesthetic, I was telling everyone in the waiting room, a packed waiting room, that I didn't know who these men were. And they were like, no, no, no. She's my boy. I was like, I have never met this man in my life. I don't know who these men. Help me. Please help me. Don't make them take away. I don't have the hands for labor. Please, please.
Christina Hutchinson
I don't have the. I don't have the hands for labor. I've never heard that.
Jameela Jamil
Just like, I can barely give a hand job until afternoon, you know, Like, I just have very weak arthritis.
Corinne Fisher
You gotta wake. They gotta wake up.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah, exactly. You get it? My finger stretches. Yeah. I have hands that are big enough to dwarf any is how I would normally.
Christina Hutchinson
Oh, really?
Jameela Jamil
Yeah, but they just can't.
Corinne Fisher
Mine are very small. If you're into the tiniest hand, you're into something different.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, my God.
Christina Hutchinson
Any fellow look like a real hero in her hand.
Jameela Jamil
We're gonna go to break.
Cami
We're lost. If the show starts without us, there's no hiding in the back row. I'm gonna ask that man for directions. Hi there. We're trying to get to the comedy club.
T-Mobile Advertiser
Well, you're gonna take a left at the old oak tree at this here road.
Christina Hutchinson

Jameela Jamil
and we are back. Okay, Christina, will you tell me what is your wrong turn?
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
I would say this is one that Corinne was there for. So I dated a guy for seven years, my previous boyfriend, he was with me before we started guys. We fucked for two years before and he dated a famous porn star before him and I dated and I was 23 when we started dating. He Looking back, my now 37 year old self is like, girl, why'd you let him get away with saying that shit? But it was a source of contention and on the podcast when we started it, like, we would say, like, take a shot every time Christina mentioned Stoya. And it was just kind of haunting me, I think, because I hadn't yet. I didn't really have a good example of being a woman as a growing up. Like, as a role model. Like, what is femininity? I wanted to be sexy so bad, but I was so traumatized and I didn't realize it that I just.
Corinne Fisher
It was.
Christina Hutchinson
It was painful.
Jameela Jamil
Give me an idea.
Christina Hutchinson
Just like, just like, it's like I wanted to. When I first started wearing makeup, I would do brown lip liner, thick brown, light tan.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, like that just looks like you've given a dirty Sanchez. Oh, I didn't know what that means. Yeah, because that's when you go down and you've got a bit of a shit on the outside.
Christina Hutchinson
I thought it was a rusty trombone.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, sure. I mean, different tomato.
Christina Hutchinson
Tomato.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
So, yeah.
Jameela Jamil
So I. So rusty trombone ruined my day. All right. Okay. Come on.
Christina Hutchinson
You're welcome. So. Yeah, so. So I was. I had this huge insecurity towards women that were like, effortlessly sexy.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
So we started dating and that was like, just a source of pressure for me. And we started. Guys, we fucked and then Hurricane Sandy. Actually, this was before guys. Was this before guys we fucked Hurricane Sandy.
Corinne Fisher
Who knows?
Christina Hutchinson
I think it might have been like, right before, Corinne was living in an apartment in Harlem. So I was like, oh, the hurricane's coming. Like, why don't you come down to our apartment with me and my boyfriend? Because it's two and a half stories, it's on 34th Street. It's, you know, we've since moved, but
Corinne Fisher
everyone wants to spend a hurricane on 34th Street.
Christina Hutchinson
That's where it's at. Yeah, baby. And so she comes down and we were comedy partners at the time. So, like, we'll make go out in the hurricane and take videos, which we did. And then it started getting really bad. First Avenue was a river. Like there was. The newspaper stands were like floating down the street. I've never seen anything like it. And then our. The basement level of our apartment started flooding from the downstairs bathroom.
Jameela Jamil
And you were aware of her insecurity about this previous porn star friends? Yeah, yeah,
Christina Hutchinson
so much because I wear my. I have the opposite of a poker face where I just. My feelings are like, I throw my feelings at you. Like I throw how I'm feeling at you. And I don't like that. So yeah, I was. I was not protective over them.
Jameela Jamil
Would you say she was all the rage? Was she worth all this insecurity?
Christina Hutchinson
No one is.
Jameela Jamil
No, no.
Christina Hutchinson
Great gal, but yeah, like she's. She actually is a badass. Yeah. But so, yeah, so my apartment started flooding. It ended up getting three feet of water downstairs where my bedroom was and where my boyfriend's office was. And then the power started going on and out, in and out. And we were like, oh, fuck. We didn't prepare for that. And so I went down to my boyfriend's closet and so do you know what a Fleshlight is?
Jameela Jamil
I do, but let's figured the audience.
Christina Hutchinson
So Fleshlight is. A lot of famous porn stars have lines of Fleshlights and it's a mold of your actual vagina or your actual butthole. I think they do have mouth bones too. And Stoya had a line of fleshlights retrieving that.
Jameela Jamil
Are they pouring?
Christina Hutchinson
You go to a. You get.
Jameela Jamil
Pour rubber into the.
Corinne Fisher
We've sat on the chair that they do it in at Doc Johnson.
Christina Hutchinson
Not to bra.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah, not to bra.
Jameela Jamil
Wait, do you have Fleshlights of your own?
Corinne Fisher
No, no, no, Just.
Christina Hutchinson
They said.
Corinne Fisher
And they said, okay, just for fun. We don't actually want one. They said, actually, please get off.
Christina Hutchinson
Now you go to like. It's like you're in the gynecologist. Like, you go on the table in the stirrups and they put a mold. Yeah, Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
I am stunned.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Okay, go on.
Christina Hutchinson
And so you. Like so. And I, I fingered a flashlight before. I'm like, I get. I totally get how it would feel good on a penis. So anyway, when. When him and I started dating, he had all these flashlights in the closet of all of her holes. And I'm like, get rid of those. Right? And then he agreed. And then we moved in together. Now we're back at Hurricane Sandy to
Jameela Jamil
ask him to get rid of his ex girlfriend. Buttholes and vagina buttholes. Okay.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
Yep. Keepsake red flag.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah. And then in the middle of my apartment flooding, I went to his downstairs to his office, and I knew we had flashlights in his closet, so I went in and I grabbed what I thought was a flashlight. And it was a mold of St's
Jameela Jamil
butthole, one that he'd kept us saying
Christina Hutchinson
he'd get rid of it. And I stormed upstairs. I'm like, oh, let's go. I, I, I, I have so much rage in me. I have so much rage that when it has a reasonable excuse to come out.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah, you Hulk out.
Christina Hutchinson
I, like, come. It's just the best.
Jameela Jamil
You come.
Christina Hutchinson
No, but like, mentally, spiritually, it just feels like a huge release. It's so blissful and I want to stay there forever sometimes.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, my God.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah. Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
I would never have pictured all of this behind this. Yeah. You seem, you seem like such a peace loving. Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
You just have a fire inside.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah. I have to fight hard to stay soft.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, God. Jesus Christ. So the Fleshlights, you're holding her butthole in your hand whilst needing light. What did he say?
Christina Hutchinson
He said that he thought it was funny, so he kept it. And I gotta be honest, totally get that. As a comedian, I get it. But as I wasn't, I didn't have my comedian hat on.
Jameela Jamil
Right, Right.
Christina Hutchinson
I had my girlfriend hat on.
Jameela Jamil
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
So I'm like, no, no, no.
Jameela Jamil
It's an easy mistake to make. I was getting ready for the Good Place audition and I was super late. Fifteen minutes before I had to leave for the audition, my boyfriend and I had broken up and I was absolutely devastated. So I'd been crying so much and my face was puffy and I'm allergic to my own tears.
Corinne Fisher
What?
Jameela Jamil
Which is fucking so LA crazy. Okay, well, that was before. I am from England. Okay?
Christina Hutchinson
I know.
Jameela Jamil
I was just there for a few years. Every time I eat a salad, everyone in England's like, oh, my God, you're so at it. She loves lettuce.
Christina Hutchinson
Gross.
Jameela Jamil
So I, So I have to go and like, have a full shower to try and get all the tears off me. And then, oh, my God. And I'm gonna curl my own hair for the first time. Now this is where I am gonna sound. Very LA. But I'd been famous since I was 22. I had never curled my own hair before. So I was like, today I'm 30. I'm gonna have to learn how to do it right now. And I was like, I need to look the part. I need to look very fancy. I don't know how to do this. So I go into my roommate's bedroom, and she is a lingerie model and, like a general supermodel. So I was like, she'll have all the hair. Shit. Go into her bathroom, I find a hair tongue. It's in a box. It's got, like, the hair wand. And, like, you know, it's fluorescent pink. I open it, it's fluorescent pink. It looks a little different, but it looks kind of the same and the same shape. So then, yeah, so I. I've pick it up and I was like, oh, this is. This is wireless. That's crazy. God, technology is amazing. I didn't even know they did these in wireless. So I. I wrap my hair around it. I wrap my hair like this, around all the ridges that it has, which is where they would go. And then I. I find the button and I press it. And suddenly it goes. And I realize, oh, my God, this is a dildo. I'm curling my hair with a dildo.
Christina Hutchinson
Like, oh, I thought she was using hair gel on it.
Jameela Jamil
Totally, totally. And so I've got like. Like, pussy juice in my hair.
Christina Hutchinson
Got you the rule.
Corinne Fisher
That's a Good place.
Jameela Jamil
That's why they can rewash my hair. I was half an hour late for the Good Place audition. I was so stressed. I. It's a whole other story of what happened when I got there. But more happened. Oh, so much more shit happened. Like, I get in. I now need to do a nervous poo, which I never need to do in the venue. There's only one toilet in the entire casting director's office. And so. And it's right by the waiting room, so I'm already half an hour late. So I have to go in and do a nervous poo. Everyone. Everyone knows I'm pooing. I then flush the toilet, and the flush comes off in my hand and I'm like, the poo is still there. So I'm like, what am I going to do? And they're like, knocking on the door, waiting to mic me up. So there's a mic person right outside the fucking door. And this is Alison Williams's house, right? So I've broken. She's the casting director of everything, so I've broken. Exactly. So I've broken her toilet. I'm holding the flush. My poo is in the loo, and I'm like, this is so fucking humiliating. Like, this is my second audition for the Good Place now, first audition ever. And I'm like, I'm gonna have to pick it up and throw it out the window. And I was like, I don't want to do that. I can never do that. So instead I start climbing out of the window to leave, right? And I'm in heels and a mini skirt and I'm like, that's my move. I was like, I don't even wanna be an actress. I'm gonna fucking quit, leave, and I'm gonna move back to England today. So I get up, I put one leg out the window, realized that it's flat on the front of the house, but it's a two story drop somehow on the other side. So I was like, if I break my leg, then they'll find me. And the poo, which is ultimately much worse.
Christina Hutchinson
That's worse than Elvis's death.
VRBO Advertiser
That's worse.
Jameela Jamil
To get back in, I roll up my sleeve and I'm like, it's pick up the Pooh tie. I'm gonna pick it up, I'm gonna pick it up. And as my finger is just about to touch the water, I'm like, nope, I can't do it. So instead I realize, you know what, it's sort of Allen key shaped. It's a square shape. The part of the flush that I've broken off, I'm gonna use my teeth as a wrench and I'm gonna wrench my teeth over and that will create the flush that works. But by the time that's happened, it's been 10 minutes. Everyone's aware I've either died in there, there or done a really big right. The smell has, you know, percolated, I guess is the word. I don't know if that's the right word.
Corinne Fisher
Percolated, I think it works.
Jameela Jamil
It's been stewing in the poo. I opened the door, like the smell hits the. The mic person. I was like, I'm just in there exercising. Sorry about that. Very clear. Good scene doing that. Thank you, thank you. And I am sweaty, so it's slightly passable. And then I go in and I do the audition, completely traumatized. I've had cock in my hair. I almost had poo in my hand. And I have been dumped. And I don't. And I don't remember the fucking audition. It was 90 seconds. I was in and out and I left and I called my agent and I was like, I don't even know what happened in there. But all I know is that I kind of blacked out, left my body in the audition. And when I came back into my body, I was saying. And then this boyfriend, when he would come used to go, hoo rah. That was not in the script. I have no idea why I was telling him.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah, that didn't sound like the show.
Jameela Jamil
That was a sound that a boyfriend made. A posh boyfriend made when he would come. And I look at, I look at Mike Scher's face and Morgan and Drew and all the makers of the show who were just sitting there in silence, wide open, staring at me like, hey, where'd that come from? You okay? And I just got up and I was like, okay, well, sorry about everything. Bye. And I left and called my agent. I was like, that went very badly. I'm so sorry. You are never hearing from them again. Also, please tell Alison that I hid her flush behind the plant in her bathroom. And I left and I got it. So I've got.
Christina Hutchinson
You should teach an acting class.
Jameela Jamil
Thank you very much. Yeah, you just have to really want to fucking die.
Corinne Fisher
Well, did you go to school for acting?
Jameela Jamil
No.
Christina Hutchinson
Okay, so. So of did in a way because they teach you a lot. They make you do everything except like read your lines to make, to get a good performance out of you. Like we did do wall sits in acting class while like we had to do wall sit for two minutes and then deliver a monologue. I had a panic attack.
Jameela Jamil
Wall sit.
Christina Hutchinson
So your, your back is flat against the wall, but then your knees are like an L shape.
Jameela Jamil
So okay. Like a sort of lazy squat.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And yeah, I had a panic attack once in the acting class and I was like, can you excuse me? She's like, no, no, no, no. Everybody look. This is what looks like. And I'm like. But I'm like, you know what? Thanks for doing that. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Look at you now.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, look at you now.
Jameela Jamil
Look at me.
Corinne Fisher
Did the poo go down?
Jameela Jamil
The poo did go down. I used my teeth as a wrench and it flushed away.
Corinne Fisher
I just want to make sure. Yeah, cuz I, I, I think have
Jameela Jamil
you been sitting there thinking about that? I just kind of done with this
Corinne Fisher
on the toilet and I was like, that's to me is the part I
Jameela Jamil
put my mouth on the flush part of the toilet.
Corinne Fisher
What can you. But the thing is I was thinking, is it with a kind of toilet?
Jameela Jamil
I'm not going to put my hand in there. Okay. I live in la.
Corinne Fisher
The back is the cle.
Jameela Jamil
No, I know. I ate the poo. Okay. That's what you do.
Men's Wearhouse Announcer
Okay.
Jameela Jamil
It's civilized. It's macrobiotic. Thank you.
Corinne Fisher
I was like, pee is clean. I Don't know that you can eat poo though.
Jameela Jamil
Sex toys, they're getting too ambiguous.
Corinne Fisher
Right.
Jameela Jamil
You know, we need, we need the rabbit back. You know, I don't like, I don't like anything that can be mistaken for something else.
Podcast Advertising Voice
Me either.
Jameela Jamil
It's wrong and it's scary. And also it was her. So you two broke up?
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah, we broke up. And then he sued Corinne and I. That was fun. But we didn't break up because of that.
Corinne Fisher
We.
Christina Hutchinson
I broke up because I'm like, oh, you know when you date someone and you're like when you're together alone, it's great. But then like, he sucks all the other times.
Jameela Jamil
Yes.
Corinne Fisher
You can't bring him out in public kind of boyfriend.
Jameela Jamil
Right, right. Yeah. I have a dog like that, but yeah, in public.
Christina Hutchinson
Oh yeah. But I feel like a dog. Like, it's okay. You're a person. Like that.
Jameela Jamil
Everything is okay. Yeah, you can fight a child. It's okay. Okay. Sorry. Hurry up.
Corinne Fisher
That's why I'm a bear.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Christina Hutchinson
We broke up and then. Yeah. And he sued Corinne and I for $110,000. I just love like spreading that fact. Cuz I'm like, if you're going to.
Jameela Jamil
He, he.
Christina Hutchinson
We lawyered up and then he like dropped it. So we like spent a lot of money to fight it. And he goes, never mind. But I just like bringing it up. His punishment is. I'm just going to keep bringing it up.
Jameela Jamil
Fantastic. Yeah, Amazing. Well, thank you for that excellent wrong turn.
Christina Hutchinson
My pleasure.
Jameela Jamil
We'll be right back after the break.

Jameela Jamil
and we're back. So before you go, I would like to read you a wrong turn story from one of our listeners. We call this section Misery loves Company. This is from a listener named Josie. She said I was at a prom after party and decided to tell my best friend that I was in love with him. I had a few shots to settle my nerves and I got wasted. Always a good start. I take him to a semi private spot and I say, I Love you, Robbie. I want to be more than friends. Do you love me like that? To which he replied, not really, no. Sorry.
Christina Hutchinson
Oh.
Jameela Jamil
I then spent 10 minutes trying to convince him that he did love me. Oh. He left.
Corinne Fisher
Hell yeah, girl.
Jameela Jamil
And I went back to teela. The next, my sister and I went to lunch. I'm wearing last night's clothes. I haven't showered, I haven't brushed my teeth. I've. I have streaked mascara and eyeliner from crying. I turn around and there's Robbie with the girl I'd seen him flirting with. And I screamed at him, you love me now, Robbie. And then ran out to the parking lot and vomited.
Christina Hutchinson
Hell yeah, girl. Damn, that's great.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, it's so good.
Christina Hutchinson
You just don't know you love me yet. But once you're with her, you come
Jameela Jamil
nagging them in her, the scariest she's ever looked. Looking like Beetlejuice.
Christina Hutchinson
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
Oh, it's fucking perfect. Have you had terrible ugly run ins with an ex?
Corinne Fisher
I one time waited outside a movie theater for hours for a guy who I thought via his Instagram post was at a specific movie theater with his new girlfriend. And he was in another town, so remember that? I literally frozen like this.
Jameela Jamil
Had he cheated on you and you were waiting. He just moved on too fast.
Corinne Fisher
And that was my calculations. You know, when someone moves on just too, like, faster. Like, I just thought it would take him longer to get over me.
Jameela Jamil
So you waited outside?
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
With the hopes of what happening? Just letting them know, here I am, four hours.
Christina Hutchinson
But wasn't that the same. Was that the same guy that we stood outside his place of work while he was making out with the girl in the window and we threw rocks at him?
Corinne Fisher
No, that guy was much lesser.
Jameela Jamil
I ran into an ex who was incredibly handsome and attractive and, well, kempt, and I already wasn't. And part of the reason we broke up is because he was so, like, dedicated to the gym and would go at 6am on a Sunday, and I just found that, like, to give me the huge ick.
Corinne Fisher
Yeah.
Jameela Jamil
But we break up, he starts dating Miss Universe immediately. So I'm already feeling like shit about myself. And the headline says, jameela who? Question mark. Which is the exact thing you're hoping they don't think. And it just took my worst fear and it put it in the sun magazine, which is like a big tabloid or whatever, so. And it's a picture of me looking my worst. And it's a picture of her winning Miss Universe with her sash on in her Underwear with a crown. She's wearing a crown. I'm basically wearing a Burger King crown. And that is the difference between the two of us. Yeah. And so I don't think I'm gonna see him anywhere because I think he's off gallivanting around the universe with Miss Universe. That's where she goes. And I am going through a phase. Like, I don't do a glow up, I do a post breakup glow down where I become significantly less attractive and I go more towards Saddam at the end of his life. So that's very much. I rock. Yeah. I'm not trying to show you what you're missing at all. And so, yeah, thank you. I go through food phases of just one food again and again and again. And I really got a thing for a full rotisserie chicken. I just wanted to eat like, you know, like the, like Brittany Murphy in Girl Interrupted because I wanted full rotisserie chickens that I would go and I would pick and eat with my hands.
Christina Hutchinson
And I was like, it's a beautiful golem.
Jameela Jamil
I haven't been outside in weeks. I'm going to go outside and eat this rotisserie chicken in Primrose Hill, which is like the nicest, biggest, most beautiful. And it's high up and you've got a 360 degree view of London. So I'm taking my rotisserie chicken, I'm in my pajamas, I'm dressed like a clown, I haven't washed in days. My hair is like just all separated strand by strand from filth. I look fully unhoused. And I am walking to the park and then I hear someone call out my name. And I turn around and it's his best friend who when I turn around goes, so I can already feel what I look like. And he goes, hey, Jamila, how are you? And I was like, yeah, I'm good. And he was like, is that a chicken? And I was like, yeah, it's just a full. It's a full chicken. He was like, where you going with your chicken? And I was like, I was gonna go eat it in the park by myself. And he was like, oh, you can't be going doing that with yourself. And then from behind him steps gorgeous ex boyfriend who has been going to the gym, who has been glowing up. He's never looked better. And he looks at me with my chicken in my pitiful state. And. And this guy's like, no, we're all going to the park as well. We'll come sit with you.
Corinne Fisher
No.
Christina Hutchinson
And I'm like, no, ma'.
Corinne Fisher
Am.
Jameela Jamil
No, that's really fine. And he's like, no, we will. And the ex boyfriend is reluctantly like, yeah, no, that would be. That would be fine. And so now they come with me to the park where I have to sit there with my full chicken that I was gonna eat with my hands. And they kept on being like. And I wasn't eating it, of course, because I'm so embarrassed. And. And they're like, no, you can eat your chicken. You can eat your chicken. Have it. And I just sat there, sweating, humiliated. The worst I have ever looked in my life. I looked better when I had my fucking wisdom teeth taken out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. With a full rotisserie chicken, dressed in my pajamas, stinking. Wow. Wow. So, yeah, pretty humiliating. And hopefully that makes you feel better and less alone. Josie, you two have been a fucking dream. I adore you always. I think you are two of my favorite people in the podcast space. And what you've done is so, so innovative and interesting. Thank you for coming on today. And will you tell everyone where they can find you and what you need them to pay attention to?
