A
All right, back to it. Welcome back, everybody, to another episode of you Bet, your Radio podcast. We're here with the boys.
B
Hello.
A
Ready to roll? And I gotta tell you guys, AI videos are running rampant through the older generations. We knew it was gonna probably be a problem, but now it is. Lurked into my own life. My own mother's sending me a few AI videos here and there, and it's not. It's pretty. Pretty innocent at this point. You know, it's like, oh, my God. Oh, my God. You know, your kid would love this. And it's like an AI video of this kid, like, blowing up this fake race car bed, right? And it's like, yeah, he would. And I'm not too worried about those types of videos, but at some point, there's going to be a problem where it's like, oh, you got duped by AI.
B
Mm.
A
It's almost like we should. We should sign a bill for the US Government to make all older. If you're older than, like, 55, you have to take a dare class. But about AI.
C
Yeah, you should, because my grandpa's doing. He's on his phone more than anyone I know, and he's sending me AI stuff all the time, and he's sharing AI videos on Facebook.
A
We need to. We need to have a DARE program for anyone older than 55. Plus, what would be. What would it be? It's not a DARE Pro. It's like, awareness. Yeah, it's probably. Yeah, we probably need to do, like a. We need to do. We need to make everyone 55 and older take an AI awareness class. AIA. AI.
C
They can have monthly meetings where they
A
show up Monthly meetings where they show up and be like, hi, I'm Chanel, and I got duped this week by AI. It's okay. It's okay, Chanel.
D
Love you, Shani.
C
You're so brave.
A
What got you this time? You're like, well, you know, it started off. It looks so real. They always look so real. Yeah, they're like, all right, well, did you notice any fingers? Yeah, that's why I figured out one of them is missing a thumb. So I knew that that was an issue. Like, it's. Again, I think right now it's mostly innocent stuff until it isn't.
B
Right.
C
Right.
A
I feel like old people. You know what I mean?
C
His AI is. It's, like, starting to do, like, clickbaity stuff to, like. Like, fake news headlines and stuff like that. And then the video will just be absolute nonsense. AI. They're going to start sharing that stuff soon.
A
And yeah, like going to start molding people's brains in the wrong way.
D
Like how many older people do you think, do you think thought that that older guy in Yellowstone is actually the one who flipped the bison over him instead of the. The opposite.
A
Was that a viral video?
D
You guys, I've seen that one. It was an AI video. Like, you know, you guys, you saw the guy in Yellowstone get flipped by the buffalo.
C
Yep.
D
They just flipped it to where the guy picked the buffalo up and flipped
C
it over his head.
D
It's like I know how many people now think.
A
I think it's probably fine to laugh at that and move on, but again, there's gonna be. People start thinking that that's real.
D
I know, I know.
A
And I'm really noticing it with, with the older generations.
C
I just didn't think they're. They were one of the most skeptical generations. Like don't trust anyone except yourself. And now they've completely 180. They trust anything they see on the Internet.
A
Yeah. Yeah. You agree? I mean they're also the same generation that got. Got scammed with like email chains and you know what I mean?
C
Well, maybe they're.
A
It's like I feel bad they've been getting scammed their whole life.
D
Yeah. Yeah, they have been.
A
You know what I mean? Because what was the scam before, like email chains and, and pop up ads that says you get to go on a fifty thousand dollar vacation for free.
B
The original Ponzi scheme, maybe.
A
Yeah. Ponzi schemes. I know for a while payday loans when they first came out.
C
Yeah.
D
ITunes, gift cards.
A
ITunes, gift cards.
D
Yep.
A
I mean I, I do feel a little bit bad for their generation because it's like they just thinking scammed their whole life and they have no ability, they have no defense against it.
C
So when their generation, it would be
A
like, it would be like being a country with no military. You're just vulnerable at any moment.
C
You're Vatican, you're Luxembourg.
A
Yeah. What were you gonna say?
C
I forgot.
A
Oh God. I cut them off. Oh.
C
But when that generation is gone, are scammers going to be out of a job? We're way harder.
D
Are we gonna get scammed?
C
We're way harder to scam.
A
We are way harder to scam. Is maybe our kids will be easy to scam.
C
Maybe.
A
Maybe it's like the passing of the guard is going to Gen Alpha instead.
C
Yeah.
B
Like even when we had LimeWire, we knew there was a risk to it.
C
Oh, we knew.
A
Damn well we knew what to at least avoid. Like you're like, you download that, you're like, nah, something's off about that one. Maybe just delete that.
C
Way too many letters in that description. Yeah, yeah, that one looks a little fishy.
D
Anyway, you really learned a lesson too. If you were to click on something and then like a bunch of wind, like a. A thousand windows would pop.
A
Yeah, I forgot about that. Like that was the worst feeling in the world.
D
Trying to X out of all of them as fast as you can so
C
mom doesn't come catch freezes on a closing window too. And you're like, no, yeah.
D
Control. Ye.
A
What did you say?
D
Control. Apple quit.
A
Control. Delete. As soon as I started seeing those things pop up, boom. I forgot about the unlimited window virus or whatever that was that would happen on the Internet.
D
It's like the spinning wheel of death.
A
But yeah, it's. It's going to be interesting.
D
My mother in law, she. She grows some really good looking flowers at her house. She'll take pictures of them, put them on Facebook. She did that the other day and her photos got tagged as AI photos. But they weren't AI photos.
B
She should file a lawsuit.
D
I know.
A
Was she up in arms about that or. She didn't even notice.
D
I haven't talked to her about it. I'll talk to her this weekend because
A
what if she did alter them?
D
AI That's a good point. Yeah. She could be duping me. Yeah.
A
Did you just get scared by your mother in law?
D
I might have got look it up, Boomer.
A
Well, yeah. I mean maybe we are getting scammed. We don't even know it.
B
Yeah, I've gotten fooled by AI videos too and stuff.
D
Oh, me too.
C
But.
A
But it never gets too far down the road till we realize it.
C
True. And we maybe will see a video that's AI not realize it's video but we're not blasting it or sharing it out to anybody, you know.
B
Yeah.
C
At least I'm pretty confident I have it. I'm also just not sharing a lot of.
B
Right, that's true. Never check them.
A
That's kind of weird.
D
We're looking at the AI content.
A
Oh, she added the label. Oh, she did says that she added an AI label to this content.
B
Oh, she must actually bumped it.
A
No, she probably saw another post that says if you add that to your thing, more people will see it. Oh, okay. I'll turn the AI so turn the AI content label on. Otherwise all your closest friends are not seeing your content.
D
Okay.
A
You know, it's like copy and paste this into your onto your profile on Your profile so that your account doesn't get deleted when they do this update. Yeah, they got scammed by that.
C
Yeah. My other grandpa, he did the whole thing. Have you noticed that you don't see your friends posts on Facebook anymore? Here's how you get them back. Take this post, highlight all of the letters. Right click it, click Copy. Then head over to your profile, find that search bar, and then hit paste.
D
Yeah.
C
And then all your friends posts will come back.
A
Yeah, it's.
D
What if it's actually true, though?
C
It's not. We.
A
We just.
D
No, we're not doing this because it doesn't work. But, like, what if. What if they're actually right? You ever thought about that?
A
Couldn't.
B
One way to find out.
A
Only one way to find out. It's like a cheat code in video games.
D
I think I've posted on Facebook like, five times since my first child was born. Now is either like, birthdays, like, significant events.
A
Yeah. I feel like in life, when you have a child, the husband's frequency of posting goes way down and the wife frequency of posting goes up.
C
That's why the collab feature is sick.
A
Oh, yeah.
C
Hey, I just collab with me. I'll accept it.
B
Yeah.
A
That is actually a good parenting marriage hack right there. Collab me.
D
But yeah, and well, here's the other thing, too. With, like, kids, like, posts about your kids or birthdays or whatever. If you, like, tag grant the grandparents in those posts, interaction goes through the roof.
C
Oh, yeah. Because then all their friends.
D
Thousand likes on your kid's fourth birthday.
A
And then you add in. You add in the caption. If you don't like this, this video, by February, your account's going to be deleted. Yes. And then just your engagement goes through the roof.
D
Virality.
C
And yeah. Then we use an AI image of an FBI agent saying that they'll hack your account.
D
Yes.
C
If you don't share this, it'll say,
B
like, hacked on the computer screen.
C
Yep.
D
Don't let this happen to you.
A
You put in the first comment a. Like a fake bot account of like, a. Like a Facebook police. If you're reading this, you didn't like it yet. Go like it or I will arrest you and put you in Facebook jail. And they're like, I have to. God damn it.
C
I like Facebook.
A
I don't want to. I don't want to cause any issues with the Facebook police.
B
It's like a minion with, like, a Facebook police hat on.
D
Yeah.
B
Ubers love Minions and like, Minions.
A
No, it's just. It's Just Rob Lowe. The NFL logo thing. But it's just instead of the NFL logo, it's just the Facebook logo.
C
It's just says FBI. It's Facebook inspector.
A
Yeah, yeah.
D
Facebook investigator.
C
Yes. Yep.
D
That's good.
A
But yeah, man, I mean, the older generation have just been being scammed. Like, have you ever watched Catch me if you can? Oh, yeah, they're getting scammed by that guy Frank. They're getting scammed by Frank.
B
Bounce checks.
A
Yeah, they got it caught up in check washing schemes. And then you have the door to door sale. My mom and dad got scanned by some door door salesman.
B
Talk to strangers.
A
He. That's where that came from. Yeah, But I remember he showed up. He's a slick talker and he was selling this cleaning solution and he went on the driveway. You know how like on your driveway, wherever there's like a rock that's exposed, it'll like kind of get like a rust.
D
Okay. Yep.
A
On your concrete. You know what I'm talking about? He cleaned that right off with his cleaning solution. My parents bought it and they never used it. And they've been being scammed since the beginning. From check washing the door to door salesmen, to email chains, to Facebook posts, and now it's AI. This generation is being tortured by scammers their entire life.
C
My dad used to be a door to door vacuum salesman and he'd always get people with, huh, Uber. No, I don't remember. We had it forever.
B
Uber.
C
But he would go like his. His sales tactic was to go to the. The bed and like go under the. Suck up. Whatever dirt was under the bed. Like, that's all the dead skin from you sleeping. Look at how much. Look how much dead skin this just got. And everyone would be like, holy fuck, we got to get three of these vacuums.
D
Yep. It's great pitch.
A
It's great pitch.
D
Yep. A couple of my neighbors are farmers and they say the cleaning solution guys are the hardest guys to get. Get out of there. Like, they're relentless and they will not leave until you buy something.
B
Yep.
A
Yeah. My parents got got God.
D
But they saw it work right in front of their eyes. It's like, it's hard to debate results when they do it right in front of you.
A
Why do you guys think our antenna is so high? Is because we.
C
They warned us.
A
Did they warn us because they're still getting scammed?
C
That's true.
A
Or did we just like. I think it's because we had to. We had to deal with them getting clicking into viruses on the computer and we're like, oh, my God, that's clearly fake. I don't know.
C
I think.
D
Yeah. Like, we have a higher defense when
A
it comes, but where did we acquire said higher defense?
C
I think it's because our generation are the ones scamming them.
A
We invested it.
C
So we, like, we. We make sense in our head, this scam, because it's like people our age pulling the scams, which might be true.
B
And we grew up with the Internet, so we know how to navigate the Internet.
A
Yeah, kind of.
B
We know it, like, every stage of the Internet possible.
C
Yeah.
B
And we're just kind of used to it.
D
I remember when I was younger, we had the encyclopedia book salesman coming by, and I. I'm pretty sure at one point he was going to stay the summer at our house after he bought the encyclopedias. Mom, I know you're listening, but I think the guy was damn near gonna stay with us for.
C
I have a set of those.
D
So do I. I gotta check resale value on those, because those might be worth it.
C
That the World Encyclopedia or whatever. They're all leather bound. They're probably pretty.
D
Yeah. And then whenever I wouldn't know some in school, my mom would be like, have you checked encyclopedias? I'm like, I'm not checking the encyclopedias. And then I asked my brother, and he's like, I'm not gonna help you with that. So I was all, yeah, I'm kidding.
C
I can't go on the computer because I just went on limewire.
A
There's 400. The computer. The computer's locked up right now. Yeah.
D
It's gonna take me two days to exit out at all.
C
I' to download T. Pain's newest album.
A
I had to factory reset the computer.
D
Yeah. I got to figure out if T. Pain's actually in love with a stripper.
C
Yeah.
D
How's the song end?
A
I actually downloaded I'm in Love with a Ripper. It's just not the same song.
C
It's a weird spoo. Yeah.
D
It was free, though. I didn't have to pay a buck 29.
A
So. Yeah, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's. You know, I don't know. They just. I think they're just destined to be scammed.
B
They're like Bonnie Blue. They keep getting.
C
They don't want it, though.
B
That's true.
C
That's the only. The major difference.
A
Yeah. It's like that's the problem with their generation then. Our generation just has women posting online, them getting banged by like a thousand dudes on a bus. Like what are we?
D
Yeah, like probably not.
A
Without sin cast the first stone.
D
Yeah, you. Without Johnny Sin cast the first stone.
A
Without Johnny sin cast the first.
C
Cast the first bone.
A
That's the first bone. Oh, God, that's good. One thing that I've noticed recently is I feel like women always need an excuse. No, not an excuse. Women always need a little extra something reason to get together. Do you know what I mean?
D
For girl, like girls night.
A
Girls, girls could never just get together to get together. There always has to be some other multiplier on top of it.
B
A gimmick.
A
Yes, there always has. There always has to be an extra gimmick on top. You know, like my sister in law, she's like, I'm in this like recipe book club. And I'm like, well, couldn't you guys just like make food and get together? Why does it have to be called a recipe book club?
C
You know, that confuses me reading the whole recipe book.
A
What happens is, is they like pick a recipe book and then they all cook a recipe out of it and bring it and everyone tries.
C
Gotcha.
A
But why can't you guys just. Just cook whatever and bring in.
C
Just hang out, Just do a weekly potluck.
A
Yeah, just do a potluck.
C
Yeah.
A
You know, or just have one person make you dinner. Why do you got to do that? Like you were saying, the bachelor bachelorette party.
C
Yeah. I went to a joint bachelor bachelorette party and we showed up and the girls immediately decorations everywhere, themes for the bar. And the guy showed up. We had yard games and beer.
A
Yeah.
C
We're like, ah, buddy, we didn't bring any decorations for you.
A
On women's night at the golf course, they had red, white and blue night. So all the girls dressed up in like American stuff.
D
Can we just get together?
A
Can't you just golf? Can't golf be a good enough reason to do it?
C
Yeah, they love themes.
A
They love themes.
C
Yeah.
D
Bible study.
C
Whether it be Bible study. And tonight we're doing.
A
Yes, but tonight we're wearing nautical theme.
C
Because we're studying. Jonah.
A
Yes.
D
Yeah.
C
Like everyone, my wife, your sea captain hat.
D
My wife has. She does a Bible study with a few of her friends. And the first one I think went for like four and a half hours.
A
That's great.
C
Like, I know.
A
It is great. I think that's fine. They're having fun. But why do you need to do the extra, you know. Like. Oh yeah, we're going to Bible study. And this week's theme is unleavened bread recipe. Because Jesus used unleavened bread.
D
Yeah.
A
So everyone bring your own unleavened bread recipe. It's like, why. Why do we have to do that?
B
And wine.
C
Yeah. Did the. The four hour Bible study happen to be the blood of Christ night?
D
That's a good point. Well, I'm sure there's a lot of wine drinks.
B
Exactly.
D
There's a lot. Yeah, exactly. Tyler.
A
Yeah. It's like, it's. It's also the same thing. When they go work out, they can't just go do a normal workout. There's got to be some contraption involved. Or it has to be some hip hop dance involved.
D
That's very tr.
B
Trampoline.
A
There has to be a trampoline. There has to be these boots with
D
springs on them, bungee cords.
A
They need to be attached to the ceiling some. For some reason.
C
What is it solid core with the. The sliding. It's basically the thing that you.
D
That's Chuck Norris.
C
That's. Yeah.
A
It's a total, total gym.
D
Yeah.
A
It's just a commercialized total gym.
D
Yeah.
C
I did that once, so I kicked my ass.
A
Right. But. But they can't just work out in a normally lit workout room. It has to be super moody and dark and music blaring.
D
Yeah.
C
Like.
D
Like different temperatures. Hot yoga, Whatever. Yeah.
A
Why can't they just do normal yoga? Why does it have to be so hot?
D
Yeah, right, right.
B
Room temp yoga.
A
Yeah. Why can't we just. What was wrong with room temp yoga?
C
Yoga is the biggest culprit of this. There's goat yoga.
A
There's go yoga.
C
Yeah.
A
Wild.
C
There's.
A
It's so true.
C
You just bring a animal and then all of a sudden it's a new yoga. There's cat yoga.
D
Yeah. There's all kinds of yoga.
B
Yeah.
A
Like why, why, why is there always have to be an extra gimmick?
D
And if it is room temperature yoga, it's career day. Like, dress up as your career
C
fourth of July yoga. I need founding fathers. I need powdered wigs. Fucking knee high socks.
A
Yeah.
D
Or like Bob Ross theme.
C
Yeah. There is always get your afros on.
A
Is it just because, like, did guys get less bored with stuff? Like we're willing to just do the same thing over and over again and women value novelty more or what?
C
Why do we think that would be my guess.
A
They value novelty more.
C
Yep.
A
Why is that?
C
I. I don't know.
A
I don't know either.
C
That's one of life's mysteries.
D
The mind.
C
The mind of a woman.
D
I think they also just like to plan stuff that's true.
C
They do.
D
They also like to be in control of the planning. So if you can add the extra caveat of like, like this theme or that theme or whatever, that's something that they get to plan. So like, room temp yoga is just. It's a little bit too basic, so they have to add the extra element on it to scratch that itch.
B
And they have a lot of outfits, so they always want an excuse to wear one.
C
True.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
D
Or buy some off Amazon or. Yeah.
B
Any excuse to do that.
D
Yeah.
A
Because any excuse to spend more money.
B
Exactly.
A
Any excuse. But yeah, just something I noticed that I feel like it's just.
C
It's.
A
It's just con. The goat yoga is very like. That is the. That's a prime example of just adding gimmicks that don't need to be.
D
Yeah.
C
Like color runs.
D
I would. Why not gonna say, why do we need to get sprayed?
A
Just let me run. Why do you have to be covered in chalk?
D
I was just gonna say that. Todd, that's a great one.
B
It's for the gram too.
C
I did do a call around one time. That is the radio made me.
A
The increase in gimmick gimmicks for women's events can be probably correlated with the growth of Instagram and social media.
C
Probably for sure.
A
Because it's like, it's boring to just post that you went to room temperature yoga. But it's way better for your algorithm if you're completely sweaty in a dark room.
B
Yeah. And you pretend to take a candid like in the photo reel.
A
Something I've also noticed is my wife loves going to a workout class where the instructor is very mean to them.
D
Like, like trying to be like, inspiring
A
and like, hard headed, but it's like very intense. She's like, yeah, it's awesome. She's always like swearing at us.
D
And Lori freaking kicked my ass today. God, she's just.
A
She's just a sp.
B
Fire.
D
Lori must add an extra shot of espresso or coffee this morning.
A
God, she was really going in on me. But it was pushing me to a new level. You know what I mean? Like, they love. They love a woman instructor who's just kind of a dick.
C
And I feel like we're kind of the opposite because, like, we don't go one. We don't really go to organized workouts, but high school practice or college practice. Coach was a today, dude.
A
Yeah. We hate. It's the reverse. We hate it. They're like, oh, my God, I love getting yelled at by the Instructor. Well, yeah, it really motivated me. I was ready to quit, but then I. Because she yelled in my face and said, yeah. And we're like, God, coach said, got my face today. It sucked.
C
I hated it.
A
I wanted to stop.
C
I think I'm gonna quit.
A
Yeah.
D
Well, it's like, why aren't you more. More motivated to break your boxes down and throw them in the garbage after I yelled at you last night? Shouldn't. Isn't this compatible here? You know?
A
Yeah, but God forbid we yell at them, and suddenly it's very demotivating all of a sudden.
C
Yeah, we need to be working out while we yell.
A
Here's what we need to do. We. This is a news service that I just invented just now, and it's. You can hire a. A spunky female workout instructor to have arguments with your wife.
D
There we go.
A
You. You're like, hey, I can feel an argument brewing. Get over here.
D
Yeah.
A
You. You give her the rundown of what's like, hey, she's spending too much at Target. And then she comes in and goes, you. To do much on Target, you got to save money. And she's like, you're so right. That could work. That could work. Do you want a change in life?
D
Then put that credit card back in your purse.
A
She said, that's so motivating.
D
Oh, my gosh, honey, I'm gonna.
A
I'm gonna cut up my credit card now.
B
It's like, female David Goggins.
C
Yeah.
A
Yeah, yeah. Dude, they love that. Yeah. It's like, if I am working out with a trainer, it's like my enjoyment level is completely correlated with how few of words is said between me and the trainer. You know what I mean? Yeah.
D
A number. By this number, you have this long to do it.
C
Yeah.
D
Okay. Yeah.
B
Yeah.
A
Or it's. Yes. What are we doing? Squats.
C
Sick.
A
That's it.
C
Do you. Do you have any sets or reps for me? We're doing squats.
A
I'll tell you when to stop.
C
Yeah, just load the bar, and then you just keep. You look at them every time you put a plate on. No. Okay, More. Are you sure?
B
He's just shaking and nodding his head.
D
But in your head, the more weight,
A
less reps. And I think. I think there is an aspect, though, that we were yelled at by coaches and stuff in sports growing up.
D
Up for sure.
A
A lot to where in adulthood. I'm like, I don't need that. I did that already. And there might be that aspect because, like, there. There is, like, in girl sports growing up there, they do get yelled at, but just like. I just feel like. Not like guys get yelled at culturally at least. Right. So imagine if you're working out with a guy.
C
He's.
A
We're done. We're done with this workout. If you're not Gonna put in 110,
D
why am I even here?
A
You know, you're gonna wasting my time. Get the out here. I don't need this. I did this wasting my time. I did this 15 years ago. Get the hell out of here. That's probably part of it.
C
Did you guys have the coach that when he stopped yelling, then you got scared? Yeah, we had one. We'd be like if he talked to you like this. You're all right. Guys, this isn't working. We're just gonna run stairs the rest of the day.
D
Yeah, yeah. They don't yell.
C
We are done now.
A
My favorite was always you knew you were in deep when it went. And I. And I. I found myself starting to do this once in a while. But, like, yeah, I guess we just. We don't want to get better today.
D
Yes.
A
That's fine.
D
Yep.
A
Yeah, you guys go ahead. I'm just gonna stand over here. You guys don't care about winning, so I'm just gonna go stand. Care about coaching you.
D
Yeah.
A
You're like, oh, we're really in trouble now.
D
Y. It looks like I'm just wasting your guys's time. You know, I don't want. I don't want to waste any more of your time.
A
Yep, exactly.
B
I'm making good money. I could just stand here.
A
I'm going to make the same amount of money either way. So you guys go ahead. Yeah, let's just. If you guys. You clearly just want to slap dick around, so go ahead, play Patty.
D
That's the worst.
A
The go. The go ahead. Yeah, it's one of the shoulders. Go ahead.
D
Go ahead.
A
See if I care. I'll sleep good tonight. Will you guys. Probably not. Maybe you will because you don't care. You don't care now. I don't care. Dude, that was the worst. And your coach pulled that out.
D
Or when they would put just the.
A
The I've given up. Oh, it sucks.
D
Or when they would put all the blame on themselves. You know what? This is all my fault. It's all my fault. You know?
A
You know what? Honestly, guys? Yeah, it's. It's. It's. It's my fault that I didn't prepare you gu Guys discipline you. You guys, enough over the summer to where we can get this done in practice, right?
D
Now that's on me.
A
That's on me.
D
That's on me.
A
And I'll own that. So. Yeah, don't worry about it.
B
I guess I didn't take work off enough for you guys.
A
Yeah, yeah, I guess I, I, I should have been up till 1am studying film A few more nights. That's on me, guys.
C
I, I should have skipped all my kids birthdays to be with you guys.
A
Yeah. Instead of just my youngest. Yeah. I should have skipped my oldest birthday too. That's on me.
B
And Your record's like 7 and 1. Like you're doing pretty good.
D
Yeah.
C
Yeah. You're headed into playoffs the fucking two.
D
But, but you stoop down to your competition like two or three of those games.
C
Yeah. You play, you played a 500 team. You only beat him by 14. Yeah.
D
You beat the number five team in the nation by one. And extras,
C
that one seems real. Did that happen?
D
Oh, I'm sure.
C
Oh, I thought you were doing like an actual.
D
No, I spitball. I did see a funny meme the other day. I kind of relates, kind of doesn't.
C
But it was like, that's good, get it out.
D
It was like. Former Tenu travel ball player that invested two, invested $200,000 in travel ball gets rewarded with $500 NAI scholarship.
A
That is so true. That is, that is like, I look back at like, I think my first scholarship out of high, like $3,000 a year.
D
Mine was 12, 1,200 bucks.
A
$3,000 a year, something like that. And the amount of money my parents spent on football camps and basketball camps, it was just like, I remember equipment, hotel rooms.
D
Hotel.
A
Oh my God.
C
Yeah.
A
So it'll be interesting to see what we do as parents because we, we saw it not pay off. There was not a lot of ROI getting thrown around back, especially being a bunch of guys from North Dakota.
D
Yeah, yeah.
C
I remember the very first offer I ever got was 28 grand. And I knew what my buddies were getting and I was like, this is sick. And then I realized what college it was for. And the tuition was 48 grand a year. And it was 28 grand for four years. Was my offer for four years. For four years total.
A
You get, you were doing four year contracts back then.
C
That's what they handed out. And I was like, oh, oh, yeah, dude. Like dad, high five. And he's like, buddy, look at the tuition. You can't go there.
D
Yeah, yeah, I, I think I got 500 extra after my third year of college. So I think I got bumped like two grand A year.
A
Let's go, dude.
C
Hell yeah.
A
I mean, they're basically just giving it away at that point.
D
I know.
A
Giving college away, I think.
D
I don't know. He might have tried to work in, like, a band or choir scholarship in there or some. Just try and get me more.
C
Oh, yeah.
A
I don't know.
C
It was.
D
If you take, like, two years of choir in high school, which I don't even think I did.
B
I played recorder.
C
Yeah.
D
Played recorder back in middle school. That'll be fine.
C
There were coaches.
D
$6,000 over four years for band.
C
Yeah. When I played D3 football, for some reason, some of the best athletes that were the biggest dipshits got great academic scholarships.
D
Oh, yeah.
C
You get that stacked somehow. Somehow. Homeboy that runs a four. Three is.
A
Is getting a science academic scholarship with a 1.8 GPA. Yeah.
C
And he's. He's a general studies major, but he just got a science grant.
A
Well, he made it. He made the regional science fair in seventh grade.
C
He did. Yep.
B
He did the volcano.
D
It was.
B
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
B
Or sports management is the major.
A
Yeah.
C
There were so many sports, man.
A
He mowed lawns in high school, so. Turf.
D
Yep.
C
Agricultural studies.
D
Yeah.
A
You got voted secretary of student council, so you get a political science scholarship.
D
Yeah, he was vot. Voted biggest gossip, so we'll give him a speech scholarship. Kid loves to talk.
A
Apparently, he's damn good at it. Oh, man.
B
Yeah, I didn't get any scholarships, so.
A
Oh, God.
C
Really?
A
Oh, you paid full.
D
You paid.
A
Oh. Oh, my God. So what's that like?
B
It's not easy.
A
Jesus.
B
A lot of free time in the fall.
A
That is true. That would have been sick to just like, just completely off in college. No sports.
C
You never have to go to practice. You don't have to worry about managing your schedule around practice times and competitions.
D
You can go to wing Night at BDubs on Tuesday.
C
You can.
B
Oh, yeah.
D
You'll never miss a wing.
C
I did not play sports the last year and a half of my college career, so.
A
Yeah, but last year and a half is like, you're. You're now seeing the end of the road and you're seeing, like, oh, I'm about to go into the real world, and it's less total.
C
You're 100%.
A
You're way more responsible.
C
The. The mystique of college is over.
A
I think that that would be fun to do is go do, like, freshman, sophomore year of college with no sports over again. Would be, like, pretty fun.
D
Well, we wouldn't remember it be so up.
B
That's true.
A
And then we have to do it.
C
Original recipes for locos.
D
Oh, my gosh. Buying a case of those and we
C
know where they're at.
D
Fucking ride the train over to Morehead.
C
We retain all our previous knowledge.
D
Too late for that.
B
Yeah, it's like Billy Madison but College Edition.
A
Yeah, that would be sick.
C
We know which liquor stores ID and which don't. Yeah, all the sickest parties downtown
A
know what roofs you can jump off and not don't jump off that one. No, that one's too high.
C
Did you say you know what parties are going to get busted ahead of time?
B
Yeah. Because you call it after you leave.
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah. You just remember. Yeah.
A
Oh, man. All right. Should we take a break?
B
Yeah.
C
Great.
A
Who that sound? You guys know that we've just started our Lucy ad read because we just broke a breaker.
C
It's an audio cue for you folks at home. I hope the filters don't. Don't edit the pop out.
D
No, we're take a quick read in the podcast. A quick break in the podcast for a breaker.
C
Nice.
D
Yeah.
C
Breakers break.
A
Break me off a piece of that Lucy breakers pouch. But keep the pouch intact. Don't break me off a piece. Yeah, I'd like. I'd like the pouch to be fully intact because I'd like it to last in my mouth much longer than those other pouches.
D
Break open the flavor.
A
And that is one of the things I do like about the Lucy breaker. So is the pouches do last a very long time.
C
Very long.
D
Almost long enough to where you forget it's even there.
A
Yeah, it just becomes one with your mouth. That's what I like about these Lucy breakers.
C
Me too.
A
You ever become one with your mouth before? Yeah.
C
You know, sometimes you just get into the zone and it just feels like. Like you can't. You can do anything. And that's how I feel every time I put a Lucy's in Limitless. Almost.
A
And did you guys ever read the rules for Breakers?
D
I have. Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
A
I'll share with the audience. Number one, pop the breaker with your teeth. Which we just did. Number two, place pouch between your lip and gum. I currently have that going on. Three, enjoy the rush of nicotine and flavor. There we go.
C
That's the one I'm the best at.
A
That last step is enjoying the rush. I am. I've seriously do like this product and I golf league. I've been bringing up them and I've been sharing them with my golf mate and they are also enjoying them.
D
So were they kind of blown Away when you did the breaker? Right away.
A
Yeah. The first time I did it, my buddy was like, what, do you just crack your tooth?
C
Yeah. It's a fun party trick.
A
It is.
D
Big time.
C
Yeah, it's great.
A
It's a great conversation piece.
C
I bet you'd love to know, but. Yeah, I'm not sure it's my last time.
D
Yeah. Yeah, I'd like to know what that is, but. Okay.
A
So if you guys want a nice conversation piece, that is the Lucy Breakers. You can get 20 off your first order when you buy online at Lucy co. You betcha. With promo code. You betcha again, that's Lucy Co. You betcha. With promo code. You betcha. And if you don't want to wait, you can check out the store locator on their site to find where you can pick it up near you. Remember that Lucy products are only for adults of legal age and every customer is age verified. Warning. This product contains Nick. Nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical. All right, Jared, what do you got for us?
B
I asked the patrons for a bunch of. Would you rather. So I'm gonna read them off to you.
C
Okay.
A
All right. I like a. Would you rather. What. What year do you think. Would you rather started? You think they were doing that in the caves?
D
Yeah. Like mammoth or dinosaur. Would you rather.
C
Would you rather sleep on this rock or on this log?
B
Yeah.
D
Would you rather sheep intestine or horse intestine?
C
I don't need horse intestine. What about for practical use, squirrel intestine?
A
More like condoms. Would you rather do a sheep intestine condom or a horse intestine condom?
C
You've heard the old condom story, right?
A
And, you know, before I lose this thought.
C
Yeah.
A
You know how long intestines are, right?
C
Right. Yeah.
D
Yeah.
A
That was the first Magnum condom. Was. This was sheep intestine.
D
Yeah. Yeah.
A
Anyways, continue talk. It was worth it.
D
No, it was good. Yeah.
C
The. The English or the. The French invented the condom by using a sheep intestine. And then the English perfected the condom by taking the intestine out of the sheep first.
B
Funny, I've heard that.
A
That's a good one. That sucks. Oh, it's good. So it's not a sheep skin condom. It's a sheep intestine condom. Yeah, more. You know, more.
D
You know, just think about how many deer.
A
I gotta. I gotta cut it.
D
We just left all. Left everything.
C
All those rubbers.
A
No wonder. No wonder my Etsy page isn't taking off. I've been doing sheep skin. Not she. Contestant Condoms. Try to sell them. That would be a great YouTube video. Like trying to sell obscure products on Etsy and see if I can just get one to sell Homemade sheep. Yeah, just like random. Like that would be so funny. Yeah, like, like wood crocs, you know?
C
You mean clogs?
A
Yeah. Yeah, but like, but they look like croc. Like you make them look like crocs but they're just wood clogs.
D
Yep.
A
Would be pretty funny. And just see if you can sell one.
B
I'm sure you could.
A
I mean that was like when we started. You bet you do. You remember one of the first products we ever sold was.
C
I know this.
A
Yeah, the coasters, the, the wood pallet coasters where I just took a plank from a coaster, didn't measure them or anything and just eyeballed it and just chopped them into squares and took a pencil and wrote our logo on it and sold them for like 16 bucks a pop.
D
For a four pack.
A
For a four pack.
C
Yeah.
A
And we shipped them out. We probably sold what, 10 to 12 at least.
D
Yeah. Oh there I, I remember there was one, there was one day you were gone somewhere but I was, I didn't
C
think you sold that many.
A
It was like, like we didn't, we didn't sell very many of the, the sharpie shirts. Cuz that was our first shirt we ever sold was. I just said like this is a plain white shirt from Walmart and I'm just going to write you bet you and Sharpie on it. And we sold probably like three of those. And then we had an upsell where you could. Cuz in the video that I originally wore it, I, I was eating and I got like nacho cheese stain on it. So then I also had an upcharge where you could add a nacho cheese stain to your shirt.
D
Yeah.
A
And one person did it and so, and we were just shipping this out of my like condo and I didn't have any nacho cheese so I had to go to the store to buy. So I lost money on this shirt. I had to go buy nacho cheese to put on the shirt and I shipped it out with a nacho cheese stain on it.
C
You couldn't just fake it with like a, A slice of craft.
A
No, dude.
C
And then be like the guys, this is craft. This is a nacho.
A
So whoever has that nacho cheese shirt, I would love to know if you, I want to know who that person
C
and did the stain come out and
A
what sucks is it was on. Was on a different website. It wasn't Even on the website that we use now.
D
Yeah, yeah. So we wouldn't even.
A
I maybe can log in and find the orders probably. I'll maybe do that. Yep, you're kind of funny. And then I'll give that person a shout out.
D
Yeah, there. I know there was. There was one day you were gone but I was hammering out coasters and I'm pretty sure I broke. I think we only had a mechanical pencil and that obviously didn't work. So I was just trying to. I was, I was essentially just trying to scribble as much as I could. The YB on these coasters. It took a while, man.
A
And like in the product description it was like, like not like warning but it's like hey, like just so you know, this is going to be a cut up palette and we're just going to write with pencil on the coaster. Like we were very upfront. Like this is what you're getting people still bottom.
D
Yep.
A
Like people after they got them too. They were like DMing us photos of them using it. Yeah, great.
D
There's a set still out there somewhere.
A
Yeah. We could do sheepskin sheep cheap intestine condoms on the site on Etsy. And then we could just write pencil. We just write the YB logo on it.
D
Yeah, we could vacuum seal them.
A
Oh yeah, we do. We. We make sure they're legit when they show up.
D
Yeah, yeah. We have to put a disclaimer on there.
C
Do it.
D
Yeah. Just in case we get a sticker or something. Danger. That's just this.
A
That's sticker. What's the danger?
C
Well, I mean this thing ain't staying on. Yeah.
A
Well, I wonder may slip.
D
What we could do is we could get a bunch of bread bag ties, twist ties and twist tie the end. So there is close. It is closed off at the end.
A
I was thinking we just like, we just burn the end.
C
We couldn't stick it in like a vacuum sealer.
D
We could do do. We could do small through triple X too. Yeah, yeah, easily. I mean what seven different SKUs.
A
I mean I think I could. I could probably get like 400 condoms out of one sheep intestine. For me at least 400.
C
And the beautiful thing about sheep skin, if we did the sheep skin one ones machine washable.
A
You can reuse them furry for her pleasure. Her woolly I guess is probably woolly for her pleasure. Instead of ribbed
D
cozy comfort.
C
Feels like something's there.
A
That real bush feel.
D
That's what we could do. The upsell could be the initial bush
A
on the End of the sheep intestine condom.
D
So they know that it's. It's authentic.
A
That is true. Yeah. Or like a. A ball pad.
D
Like.
A
Like a wool ball pad so you don't bruise your nuts when you're getting. That just hangs down.
C
Or.
A
Or you know, like when you. You like a. Like on a mouse pad. They have like, the gel things for your wrist. It's basically like.
B
Or you.
D
Or you can use a piss sack for that.
C
Yeah. You can make a. A sack for your ball sack. It just holds them.
D
That's true.
C
Keeps them warm.
A
Yeah.
D
It keeps stable.
A
Yeah. Keeps them from slapping.
C
I mean, we're gonna get old soon and they're gonna start to sag.
D
Yep.
C
Keeps things high and tight.
A
Yeah. And that could be an upsell, is you can add the. The. The. The sack holder. The sack sack is actually what it would be called. There's all kinds of sack squared.
C
We call it a sacky sack.
A
Oh, Old ball pad.
C
How do we get to this? I thought we're doing.
A
Would you rather. Okay, they've been doing it since the caves. Jared said log or rock. What would you rather sleep on?
C
So are we supposed to rip through
A
these, by the way?
B
What's that?
C
Are we supposed to rip through these like rapid fire? Or we. Are we deliberating?
D
We'll discuss on what comes our way.
B
Okay. Fluid.
D
Fluidity.
B
Barry McCockener, would you rather have to
A
loudly say, and for those that don't know, that's our patron.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
Who subscribes to the Patreon. That's his patron name.
D
Name.
B
Right.
C
So.
A
So people know.
C
So if you want an identity change or just to try a new name out, subscribe to Patreon.
A
Yeah, yeah. And go check out our Patreon. We got an episode every week on there in addition. So.
B
Barry McCockiner, would you rather have to loudly say, here we go, like Dak Prescott every time you poop or yo, let's ride like Russell Wilson every time you pee?
A
Here we go.
C
That's way funnier.
A
Yeah, here we go. Plus, also, let's ride is so much Cringier.
D
Piss country.
C
That's right.
A
Piss country. Let's ride.
C
That's pretty hog country.
A
Let's ride.
B
Let's see. Just lost it. There we go.
C
Here we go.
B
Here we go. Tyler's last load. Miles, would you rather French kiss Ryan or Tyler? No loopholes.
A
No loopholes. I think there's a few routes that we go.
D
Like, it was Mary Kill Me, you or Jared?
A
Yeah, the patrons love finding out how Intimate. We would be with each other.
C
Well, you guys did just do pillow talk an episode ago.
D
Yeah, that was on Patreon, though, so if you want to listen to that.
A
So if there's a few different ways I could go here, you know, it's like, you know, I could choose the person who's maybe got more womany features. You know, I could go that route. I could go, like, who I think would be better at it.
D
Yeah.
A
Could go that route. If you're trying to go. Who could be worse at it. So that it's less enjoyable skill.
D
Yeah.
C
I think that it's unfortunate Jared wasn't included, because he's the obvious answer.
D
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
I mean, glass man.
B
That's why he left me out. Yeah, Yeah.
A
I think I'd rather. I feel like, you know, Ryan and I have a more pillow talk relationship, so I think I'll French talk. Talk French. French talk. I'll French kiss Ryan, I think.
D
Yeah.
C
Nice.
D
Here we go.
A
Plus, I feel like. Dude, I feel like Tyler might starfish me on the French kissing.
C
Yeah.
A
Ryan's gonna give it the old college try.
C
I think I would probably half ass it.
A
Yeah.
C
Yeah.
A
It's kind of what I mean.
B
Dana, would you rather I want to
A
get my money's worth, you know, if I'm gonna be French kissing these guys? Yeah, I'd like to get my money's worth. And Ryan's gonna give me more bang for my.
C
This is gonna be somebody's first episode. What?
D
Gift card or something.
A
It's just locker room talk. Just guys being dudes.
B
Dana, would you rather never be able to go hunting again or never go golfing again?
A
We've had this before.
C
Yeah. Golfing for me, I think it's gonna be really tough for I. I think
A
I'll go golfing just because I. I golf way more than I hunt.
C
So you get. I'm saying I'm. I would kill golfing, essentially. I'd rather not go golfing again than not go hunting.
A
Yeah. I think I'd rather go. Not go hunting than I would golfing. But I'm also like. I really like golf.
C
Yeah.
A
And I just do it a lot more.
D
That's a really tough one.
B
Yeah.
A
But it is like, I.
D
Right now, even. Even with my oldest being four, I. We could still go hunting together, but we can't. Like, yes, I could bring him to the golf course, but he's not. He's running around.
A
There is like. It is true. Like, there's no high. Like, hunting, hunting. Like, you're not gonna. Unless you hit a home one.
B
Yeah.
A
You are not getting hunting high on the golf course.
D
And there's no low like golfing.
A
That is actually true.
D
So I'll probably go. No golfing. I think you can just learn more. I. I think you can just disconnect and learn more from being in the woods also. For sure. For kids, mainly.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. I'll stick with mine, but it is tough.
D
Yeah.
B
Gunther, would you rather only eat pasta with butter for the rest of your life or have any meal you want, but you have to eat it on a moving bus?
D
What the
C
come up with this questions?
A
I mean, really, like, would you guys be. Because, like, would you guys be fine with two meals a day?
D
I'd be perfect.
A
Because then it's like on your way to work, you get any meal that you want.
C
Yeah.
D
Free.
C
Free.
A
And then on your way home from
C
work, then I have to take a bus to and from work every day.
A
But you're eating buttered noodles. I. I think every meal.
C
I think you might die if you only have butter noodles.
A
Well, the butter's got a lot of fat in it. You're getting carbohydrates. The thing you're missing is the protein.
C
You get no protein.
D
There's protein and butter, though, I think.
C
I don't think much.
D
And they make protein noodles now.
B
There you go.
A
That's true. Did he say no loophole?
B
No loophole.
A
Okay. There we go.
C
No.
A
The bus is just so inconvenient.
C
Yeah.
D
You're saving a lot of money though, too.
A
It's like. So I just.
D
Gas money.
A
If I want a family dinner, I just have to bring my. My family on the bus.
C
It's got to be like Thanksgiving.
A
I just have to ride a bus for Thanksgiving.
D
That's very true.
A
I think I have to go. What then for Thanksgiving, I'm just eating buttered noodles.
C
Yeah. Every meal for the rest of your life.
A
So I don't even get a Thanksgiving meal.
C
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is buttered noodles.
D
Yeah.
A
I'll go bus.
C
I think bus, too, because then you start to make.
A
You just. You make a new friend group on the bus, you know, and it's also
C
an easy Irish goodbye from anything you want to do. Starving. Dude, I gotta get on the bus.
D
Bus is leaving.
C
I haven't eaten in a day.
A
Yeah, plus the YouTube channel. You could start of, like, what you're eating on the bus that day. Who Talking to different people on that.
C
You could.
A
You could monetize the.
C
Out of that magic food bus.
D
You could buy the best, best noodles on earth to.
B
Would you rather have to wear winter boots year round or flip flops through every North Dakota winter boots year round?
A
I think boots.
C
Yeah.
A
I don't want to lose a digit.
C
One of them is uncomfortable, the other one is unsafe.
D
Boots golfing though.
A
The boots with the fur though.
C
But negative 30 flip flops. You gotta shovel your driveway.
D
Suppose you can't knock sandals.
C
Yeah.
B
Thermal socks with the flip flops.
C
You can't.
A
There's not a song called knocking.
B
Yeah.
C
Luke Bryan did not write that.
D
No, there's no song called yeah, yeah,
A
yeah, I'll go boots you around. I mean like sometimes like when I wear my extra tough boots in the summer, like they're pretty warm.
C
Yeah.
A
But like they're like I like wearing even though they're hot. Yeah, fine.
D
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
I mean in the summer it doesn't say you have to wear shoes. Like there's a lot like at the lake. I'm just not wearing shoes a lot of time.
C
Yeah, that's true.
A
I would just wear shoes less in the summer.
C
Yeah. Be barefoot a lot more.
A
Like in the office, I'd. I'd slip my boots off and I just walk around my socks.
C
We could be like one of those. A progressive like hippie vibe. Office Steve Jobs never wore shoes.
A
Kind of like look how he turned out.
C
Yeah.
A
Died of cancer.
C
50 some chemicals he got from his feet
B
taint tickler. Would you rather have Jared redo the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy once a week or only eat steaks grilled by Tyler for the rest of your life?
A
Steak. Steak. Yeah, dude, there's a one getting to the trilogy be bad.
D
I mean, I think we'd have to be reading at all times of the day.
A
It just, it would be you. You would never not be hearing Jared reading you the Lord of the Rings.
C
Is it this the screenplay for the MOV movies or the books?
A
Guessing the books.
C
Probably the books.
B
Yeah.
A
Are you sitting down reading screenplays, Tyler?
C
No. I don't know. Most people refer to the movies, but the books are. They're written in like old timey talk as well. So.
D
Even easier.
C
Yeah.
A
Makes this decision even easier because I like seeing Tyler. Matt.
C
Yeah.
D
And I'll eat. If I had to eat a medium well steak, I would.
C
And if I have to do it every day, I'm gonna to get really good at it.
A
That is true.
B
And here's your steak.
C
Yeah. Enjoy this perfect steak I've made for you. For the 400th day in a row
A
we're talking about hunting high. There's no high like being around Tyler when he's mad.
D
Good point.
A
Just. There's just nothing that puts a pep in my step like having Tyler mad about something that doesn't matter.
C
Yeah.
B
Brock, would you rather be having summer boat beers or winter shop beers?
D
Summer boat beers first.
C
I'm winter shop beers. Winter shop beers are.
A
Winter shop beers are very nice.
D
They're both nice about it.
C
Freezing cold, you leave the 90 degree shop to go piss outside in the snow.
D
That is nice.
C
Six beers deep.
A
Or maybe just pop your boots off and just stand in the snow. Like Ryan to do at that bar in South Dakota.
C
I bet that felt awesome.
D
It felt great.
A
Strangest thing I've ever heard anyone do it.
D
It was tough because it was. And we've really cr.
A
Strange at that bar. That was the strangest thing I've ever seen.
D
Dude, I had no choice.
A
There was a guy shooting a bow in the bar. Yeah, and yours was still stranger.
C
That's.
D
That's a valid point. That is a valid point. I had no choice though.
A
Okay, what was my options again?
D
Summer boat, winter shot.
B
Yep.
A
Yeah.
D
Brewskis. I'm taking summer boat.
A
I'll. I'll go winter shop. I'll go winter shop. Jared, summer boat.
C
Okay.
D
Yeah.
B
It's 50.
A
50 split.
C
Yeah.
B
Great.
D
Would you rather 90 degrees cruising on the boat looking at cabins just. Absolutely.
C
Six hours in on the pontoon.
D
Destroy.
C
Plus like 15th beer with like.
A
I know I'm not in water, but I'm near water and we know how that ends for me.
C
Disaster.
D
Yes.
A
It's just higher disaster potential.
B
Last one. Nascom. Drive into a post or drive into a light pole.
C
Light pole.
D
It's way better.
A
I'd rather do. Light pole is way less damage. Way less.
D
Yeah, I think mine was 6800.
A
Mine was 15 grand.
D
First time accident forgiveness though because it. So it's $500 deductible. Deductible.
B
Yeah.
A
Mine was a thousand dollar deductible.
D
And I got it expunged off my Kelly blue book.
B
Let's go.
C
How'd you manage that?
A
I'm kidding you. I don't think you could do. Hey, get your book. Hey, Kelly, how we doing? Ryan again. Say, why don't you pop that blue book of yours open. I want you to page to. I want you to page to page number 4,000,483. Oh yep. There I am.
B
Am.
A
And why don't you pop that eraser out and just erase that for me. Yeah, grab some white out. Why don't you just do that?
C
Right?
D
If your had a. Had a court record, Essentially, yeah.
C
He's swiper. No swiping the car.
A
Hey, Kelly, if you could do that for me, I'll drop off. My wife will drop off a banana bread for you.
C
That's.
D
You know, that banana bread's good. So I'll go light pole.
A
God, you still don't want. Want. All right, I'll give you some deer sticks. Cool.
D
Listen, I got this new Etsy product, Sheepskin condom.
B
Kelly's like a Wizard of Oz. He's like behind the curtain.
A
Yeah.
B
So much power. One.
D
I got a dip.
A
See. See you, Ryan.
D
See you guys.
A
So this week, Dave is been inactive on Facebook, Tad. So we have no Dave Facebook update. But hey, we're gonna stay on it because we're gonna. We're gonna get something good at some point.
B
He'll be back.
A
Maybe he's gone because he does go through snaps of where he decides he's gonna be sober for a little bit. So he might be in a sober phase right now. Yeah, but he'll be back.
B
Yeah.
C
Yeah, I'm not worried about him yet.
A
Yeah, he's probably, like, still upset that people aren't accepting his friend request.
C
Wouldn't you be?
A
Yeah, I'm surprised he didn't do a post like, hey, I'm gonna take a break from social media for a few. Few weeks.
C
He needs to find that post, copy, and paste it.
A
And maybe I need to do that because I'm not seeing his post now.
C
That's it.
B
Do it right now.
C
Do it. Do it quick.
B
Do it right now.
C
Yep. I got a fun, fun factory that I definitely didn't Google live during the podcast earlier in the episode. The first ever a.
A
That tells me you did.
C
No, I said I didn't. The first true AI is widely considered to be the logic theorist. And it was created in 1955. The first ever AI.
A
What was it able to do?
C
This program was designed to mimic the human problem solving, the. The problem solving abilities of a human being. It proved 38 of the first 52 mathematical theorems in Alfred North Whiteheads. Yada, yada, yada. So basically, it just went in. It, like, did math problems to prove math theories. There were several attempts, some people think. You ever seen the movie the Imitation Game?
A
No.
B
With Benedict Cumberbatch?
C
Yep. A lot of people consider that the first AI, but everyone's like, no, that was just a computer. So they're split 50, 50. But the first widely accepted this is an AI was 1955. So it's been around longer than you think.
A
So what made it AI that it
C
was doing it on its own?
A
So it would just say, they would just put a. Like, how were they prompting it? You know what I mean?
C
I didn't foresee that.
A
I mean, I imagine that they were. They would like in the code, say, you need to solve these. How was it? I don't. It's. It's way above my head. Had binary code, ones and zeros. It's all it is. It's our whole life is ones and zeros.
B
That is. Yeah, we want to be here without ones and zeros.
A
Wouldn't be here without the old one. The old zero. You know what I'm saying? So is that it? Tyler, he's got his Google face on.
C
I'm. I'm seeing if I can find what they were plugging into. I don't see the fine details of it, but all I can find is that they're throwing theorems into this AI and it would test the math theories and prove them or disprove them.
A
You know, I just noticed is you can tell what someone's doing on their phone by their face. A lot of times you can tell when they're doom scrolling. You can tell when they're actually looking. Like his face that he had on, he was looking something up, you know, Google face. Yeah, he had his Google face on. You know, doom scroll face. You can, you can. I feel like you can even tell when someone's texting.
B
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
I mean, texting, it's usually a two handed operation.
B
And if they're paying a bill, it's like this. You got like one hand on your
A
well doing one of these.
B
Oh, say underneath your breath.
D
Yeah.
A
This is the same face that I make when I'm on Red Tube. This is. This is my paying bills face. And
C
why is your hand up there?
A
Yeah, you know what? I don't know. All right, Jared. Is that it?
B
That's it.
A
Well, guys, thanks for tuning in to another episode of You Bet yout Radio. Have a great week. We'll see you next one. Bring it in.
C
We're done.
A
I betcha.
C
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
B
Bob R. Bass, what would you guys consider to be the seven wonders of the Midwest?
C
4. At least four of them are in South Dakota. Wall Drug Meth, Crazy Horse, Mount Rushmore and the Reptile Gardens.
D
Reptile Garden, where's that on the way to? Did you not. Which way did you go to Dead Dickinson? Okay. Yeah, I didn't see it.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
I Don't know. I haven't been to the reptile gardens.
D
I haven't either. But if you head south to Sioux Falls and then straight west you run into signs.
A
I went in some caves in South Dakota.
C
Mystery caves. That's the fifth wonder. Mystery caves where gravity doesn't work, but it's just houses that are tilted.
D
We were gonna go to that. We decided not to.
C
It's like a scam and a half.
D
See, I think we're wasting. I mean you have listed five of seven already. We haven't even spoke.
A
Commandeered the.
C
I just. I just want everyone to know how ridiculous the tourist attractions in South Dakota are.
A
South Dakota, you left out the.
D
Well, I mean, you got two options left or two slots left. The corn. Corn Palace.
C
Corn Palace. Number five. They're number six. And then number seven. Wisconsin. Dallas. There we go. There's the list.
A
Well, I thought we were doing all South Dakota. McDonald's and Watertown is why is another one.
C
Yeah.
D
Next to Candies.
B
Yep.
D
The adult pleasure store.
A
So that's number six.
B
Dueling strip clubs.
A
And number seven is the dueling mythical dueling strip clubs. Somewhere between Freeman and Mitchell. South Dakota.
D
Yep. North Cabela's.
B
Yeah.
A
Congo Club. Those are the eight wonders of the Midwest. All located in South Dakota.
C
There you go.
B
What about the Mars Cheese Castle in Kosha?
A
That's a good one.
C
That's an honorable mention.
A
Lake of the Ozarks is kind of
B
one just like the. The Duth port where all the big ships come in.
A
Yeah. Then right on the north shore.
C
Yeah. We should do man made and ancient. Yeah, it's like. Like the actual seven wonders of the world.
A
I. You're gonna have to. Ancient. What are we talking about? Like Itasca Falls or something?
B
Is that where the Mississippi starts?
C
The Itasca River Headwaters Crossing is the most underwhelming thing in the world.
B
Pretty bad. It's cool. But. Yeah.
C
Yeah. It's like a three foot wide stream.
B
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
A
So ancient. What are some other ancient stuff?
C
Let's just say ancient is anything older than a hundred years old for this sake.
D
I mean.
A
Why. What am I. I went to a.
D
I went to a museum in Chicago a while a couple years ago and I'm pretty sure they found a T. Rex skull that they like have put back together in South Dakota.
C
Yeah, They've found all sorts of dinosaur bones in North Dakota and South Dakota.
B
Yeah. Like Dickinson area.
C
Yeah. Kind of neat.
A
This is. I mean this is tough.
B
Showboat saloon.
A
It's like. Yeah. What's it what's the criteria?
C
Okay, so the.
A
What's the criteria for a wonder?
C
The wonders of the world. You have ancient, man made and natural. Right. Those are the three.
B
I like that.
A
Seven.
C
Yeah, yeah. But those are the three cats. There's seven of each of those. So there's the seven ancient wonders of the world.
A
Oh, now what are the seven wonders of the world? The pyramids.
C
It's the Grand Canyon. Well, it's different depending on like if you're going ancient or not.
A
There's a. There's a.
D
What do we learn?
A
Seven wonders of the world.
C
There isn't just the seven wonders. There's the seven ancient wonders.
A
The new seven wonders is what it says. Great Wall of China,
B
Colise Coliseum Chicken. It's a Machu Picchu. Christ the Redeemer and Taj Mahal the Matajahal.
A
Oh yeah, there it is.
C
There's the ancient.
A
Okay, whatever.
C
And then there's also natural, which is like the Grand Canyon and stuff.
A
All right, well,
B
21.
A
So we have to come up with. All right, so. Well, that's our list. That's our. With South Dakota. Wonders of the world. World or no, those are our seven wonders of South Dakota. So we got that sub list done. There you go, Ty.
C
Oh yeah.
A
Can have that. We'll do roadside attractions. We can put the bars. Cheese castle in there.
B
The sand hill. World's largest sandhill crane in steel, North Dakota.
A
Nice. We can also do the world's largest loon in Virgus, Minnesota.
C
Looney days coming up.
D
Channel catfish flop to North Dakota.
C
Nice.
A
There we go. Put that on there.
C
We do the geological center of North America and rugby.
A
Well, that would be on the geographical list.
D
That's true.
A
Okay this is.
C
But there is a nice pin marker there right in that strip mall with the subway and an anytime fitness.
A
It's true. Let's also the seven road sign Wonders of the world. I'm gonna put the Continental Divide sign on there that you. That you see when you're headed. Headed south.
C
What about opportunity drive on 94. Everybody's like missed it again.
A
I miss or I take this exit.
D
I. I think there's a. There's a hill in Minnesota you can climb. It's called like Inspiration Peak or something.
B
Yeah.
D
You find that's.
A
That is on hill Wonders of the world. Those are the seven hills.
D
Sturgis has got to be on a seven something of the world.
C
Seven events events, events.
D
Wonders of the World Crazy days. Wap t. Usually in the first week in August.
C
Yeah. Potato days in Barnesville.
B
Testicle days or whatever it is.
A
So that could be one of the events. Sturgis. Ryan meetup should go on. The new event, Wonders of the World. Ryan meet up at the Mall America.
D
Yep.
A
You could have seen one of the wonders of the world.
D
New Wonders of the World. I'm more of a. I like ancient stuff.
A
How many ancient wonders of the world have you seen?
D
None of them. I. I enjoyed learning about them, though.
A
So what have you learned about the Lighthouse of Alexandria?
D
I think. I don't know if they. I. I think they skipped that and.
A
Because I would say that it's probably because. What I've learned is that it's a massive landmark tower built by the Put Put kingdom to guide ships safely, is what I've learned.
B
That's what lighthouses do.
C
Ptolemaic.
A
Yeah, what is it?
C
Ptolemaic.
A
Oh, is it p. Is silent.
C
Yeah.
A
I hate that. It was. I just read it. I didn't get. It wasn't an audio version of what I learned. Machu Picchu.
D
No. I do like the history of this stuff, though. I went to school to be a history teacher.
C
That's what I went, too.
B
I didn't know that.
D
Yep, for a semester.
C
Same one year, freshman year.
D
First semester freshman year. Swapped.
C
I made it. Made it one full college year before I switched.
A
Look at you guys. Why don't you touch tips? Next. Jesus Christ.
C
I've been trying to get some Ryan pillow talk. You've been hogging it all.
A
History docking over here.
B
Muhammad have to fart. I heard on the radio this morning about a North Dakota delicacy that sounds disgusting. Do y' all eat tiger meat? Also, how's the H Vac situation in the new office?
A
H Vac? So far so good. Yeah, it's actually been working so good that, like, Even though it's 100 degrees out, I'll wear a long sleeve to the office because I'll get chilly.
C
I genuinely. I had to go pull a sweatshirt out of the prop room yesterday because it was cold.
A
It's actually working too good to the point where I now have to bring extra clothes for it.
C
You got to tell them that they're changing the filters way too too often.
A
Well, that's on us.
C
We're changing our own filters here.
A
Have we changed the filters yet? Oh, God, no.
D
Look at the. On top of the freezer, there's a days till need new filter needed.
A
It's like till new filter needed.
D
I bet it's in the 30s. I look at it every day. I go to by the bath Go to the bathroom. It's. It's between 30 and 40.
A
32 day. We got one month.
D
Yep.
A
End of August. We gotta change the air filter.
C
The Is there. Where do the filters at in here?
D
It's in the furnace. Yeah. Bathroom.
B
In the.
A
The closet.
B
In the bathroom.
C
Gotcha. I haven't peeked in there too much. I just knew the server was there.
D
Yeah, yeah. I spent a little bit of time in there.
A
Yeah, it's a great place to just. It's like when Ryan's eating Oreos in the pantry. I sometimes I got a stash of Oreos in there. I tell you guys, I'm taking a. And I just go in there and eat Oreos.
D
What if there's like 24 pack of mush in there? He's been hiking.
C
Yeah, I was wonder all that plastic spoon, box of uncrusties
A
beef jerky.
D
I'm gonna call my wife after this and get some mush.
B
Yeah.
A
What does that mean?
C
Sorry for kid number three. Hey, some mush.
A
So, yeah, H vac situation's great. There was. Wasn't there another question?
D
Tiger meat.
B
Tiger meat?
A
Never.
C
I've had it once on the radio as a bit.
D
Yeah, it's. It's not actually tiger.
A
Yeah, I gathered that. It's just cure.
D
It's like cured raw hamburger. Yeah, you just.
A
So it's like tar. Tar, but cured.
D
Yes.
C
Yeah, exactly.
B
Pure cure.
A
Never had it.
D
Yep. It's good.
A
Maybe I have. No, I don't think the stuff I
C
had all I remember from it. We had it on like a Ritz cracker.
D
Yep.
C
And it was salty as hell.
D
Yep. It's gotta be.
A
Yeah, gotta be.
B
Gotta be.
D
All too.
A
Gotta be.
D
And it's. I don't even. I don't know if you can get it at the store. It. The only time I've ever had it is when somebody has. Has come to a gathering and been like, hey, try the. Try this tiger meat I made. It's always homemade. It seems like, why is that so funny?
A
You gotta try it. Oh my God. I make the best tiger meat.
D
I'm a sucker for trying homemade.
A
And then also you can wash it down with this homemade apple pie that I have. It's stuff. Yeah, it's the fucking best. It tastes just like apple pie.
B
You're like having a conversation with them and they're just not listening to you because they're just waiting their turn to talk about their apple pie.
D
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
B
Great.
C
Cool. About your aunt.
A
I hope she gets better.
C
Here's this apple pie drink this it
A
has ever clear in. It gets you up. You still up, but it gets you so. Because it just tastes just like apple pie.
B
I also make my own barbecue sauce.
D
They're always in huge mason jars too. You'd think by, by, by 2026, we'd have a better receptacle to apple pie. Yeah. Or just for any homemade booze.
C
But my family do they just save handles of other booze.
D
Okay.
C
Like put it in that or like Everclear.
B
Yeah, we've seen that.
D
Yeah. Whenever I'm presenting with it's usually at like, tailgating events. It's always in mason jars.
B
It is an aesthetic.
C
Yeah, it is cinnamon sticks in there and.
D
Yeah, I suppose.
C
Yeah.
A
You can fit more of that, I suppose.
D
Yeah.
B
Mrs. Luther Miles should have to put a dollar in the jar every time he cuts Ryan off whenever he speaks.
A
So how much would I owe to the jar?
C
Couple bucks.
A
Couple bucks. Does that happen, like, a lot?
B
A lot?
C
We I, I catch myself doing it to Ryan. So if I'm catching myself, you're definitely nobody.
D
See, it doesn't even bother me because I, I, I, I have the ability.
A
I'll go. Can I go?
D
I have the I have the ability.
A
