A
All right, back to it. Welcome back, everybody, to another episode of the you Bet your radio podcast. We're here with the boys, and actually, I'm starting off hot today. Oh, starting hot. It's hot outside.
B
Take that thermal off.
A
Hot in the studio. And I got something that I'm pretty jacked about. Is it warm in here also? I don't swing that way, Tyler. Weirdo.
B
Well, you're taking too hot.
C
You did. You do have a thermal on.
A
Yeah, that's because this idea is so hot. It's as hot as this thermal.
B
Okay.
A
Does it really kill my momentum here?
B
What's your idea?
A
My. So a couple of weekends ago, me and my buddies were. We are participating in some extracurricular activities.
B
Nice.
A
And we came up with a billion dollar business idea. Billions billion dollar in business idea. So welcome to the. The shark tank. What did we have a liver name for?
D
It bellied up is the muskie tank.
A
So this is our version of the muskie tank. Here's my business idea. It's called the hubby. Okay.
B
Okay.
A
I like it already. Thank you. And it is a stroller for husbands. Billion dollar business idea. Stroller for husbands.
B
If you solve my one issue with strollers right now, I'm investing.
A
Oh, Tyler, thank you for asking. But it is not. You're probably thinking, wow, this is a stroller that men push, right? This is not a stroller that men push. This is a stroller that men ride in.
B
Okay.
A
How many times has your wife been like, hey, let's go for a walk. And you're like, I don't want to go for a walk. Well, now you can. With the hubby. With the husband stroller.
B
The hubby buggy.
A
Don't try and. Don't try and make it. That makes it worse. It's just the hobby. Because we're not selling to men, Tyler. And that's why it's called the hobby.
B
Okay.
A
If it was. If men were buying this, it would be called, like, you know, the. The husband. The. The turbo husband.
D
Gorilla crawler.
A
Gorilla crawler. You know, we're selling this to women because women want their husbands to go for walks with them, but we don't wanna. And the number one culprit of this is my dad. He. My mom's wanted to take him on a walk for years, and he just won't do it.
B
Just get his favorite leash.
A
Yeah, and see, that's. That's degrading. But sitting in a moving chair, that's not.
B
No, that's not.
A
Oh, so you're saying Wheelchairs are degrading.
B
I said that's not degrading.
C
Wheelchairs are not by choice. Aren't by choice, though.
A
Okay, so let me lay this out for you. Okay, so it's a stroller for men. But think about the attachments that we can do. Cuz if I know anything about strollers, my wife bought a stroller and then she was like, oh, my God. You can buy this and you can hook it to it. You can buy this and hook it to it. Right. We have a cooler attachment on the side for your beer. You have a little tray that you can prop your phone up on. You can watch sports, but then also a rear view mirror as well. Because your wife's gonna be pretty mad if you're locked into the sports game. She's trying to talk to you. So now what you do is you have a rear view mirror on there. So when you're facing forward watching the game, you can peek up and you can see her behind you and you guys can talk still.
D
Oh, yeah.
A
But that's an optional feature because not every guy is going to want to talk to his wife on a walk.
D
Right.
C
What about your kid?
A
Thank you so much for asking. And that's. And the answer to that is the family tree, which is the sidecar of this stroller.
D
Oh, nice.
A
So if you got one kid, boom, put them on the left, put them on the right. You got four kids, you got three kids. Tyler. You got two on one side and one on the other.
B
Okay.
A
Which is great because you can split them up to make the least amount of fighting.
B
Yep.
C
Yeah.
A
They also have all of the attachments, you know, and so now you can be rolling like four or five wide down the sidewalk and your wife's just pushing you all and that and that upgrade to. So it's essentially just a. A side car. Regular stroller is the family tree edition.
B
Is there any sort of engine, like a self propellant that assists the wife?
A
I believe it is. So we did talk about that. That would probably be the Hubby Plus.
B
Okay.
A
Or the Hubby Ultra or the Hubby Max. Anything with the A tag that eludes that. This is superior Hubby Premium.
C
Yeah,
A
no, maybe we won't do premium.
D
It's like YouTube preview.
A
So then it could be a motorized one with like a battery. You could also. Yeah, it could be, you know, like the kids cars that like, once you, like push it, it kind of like goes on its own a little bit.
B
Okay.
A
You know, your kids, like rev them up. You rev them up and then they go kind of maybe do a motor like that so you don't even have to like put batteries in it. Just a bigger version of that. Because your wife's got to push you still.
C
Yeah, I was gonna say like the little Texas cars. Like the Flintstones.
B
Yeah, yeah.
C
Red and yellow ones.
A
Yeah. But the whole point is that we are just sitting and we're not walking.
B
But it would also, it would be fun to be able to with your wife a little bit. Just like put your foot down. I don't know. Orange. She runs into the back.
A
Well, we can have a break. We can have like an E break for the husband just in case she's not paying attention. We can drift. We can do all sorts of. And that's what I want to open the floor to is what other attachments do you guys think we should add to the hobby?
D
H. Beer's good.
B
Beer's good.
D
That's good. Starlink.
B
Yeah, we need Internet.
A
Yeah, we can add a Starlink. Also an umbrella would be nice. Yeah, I don't want to be getting too hot.
D
I think a Mr. Maybe a cab for AC.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Kind of like the. The snowblower cab, Snow King or whatever it is.
B
I would like, along with the E break where we could take control, I would like some sort of steering option in case she's about to miss her turn.
A
That is true. That is actually true. It's like the driving instructor gets like a break in on his. On the passenger side. We had custom car.
B
Yep, yep.
A
We should have. We have the E brake. We also have an override steering feature.
B
Yeah, it's like pilots, they can take their plane out of autopilot. We could take the stroller out of autopilot.
A
And honestly, we can even have a setting where the wife can't steer, can only push, and you're the one steering it.
B
Yeah, I like that.
A
You know.
B
Yep.
A
So that could be good.
D
AC seats, heated seats, potentially.
A
We also, for guys that want to view, there will also be an add on feature that you can do that comes with a harness and a rope so that your wife can walk and pull you in front of you so that you get a nice view of your wife. Which might honestly be a better idea than the regular stroller.
B
You get less weird looks too, because people just think you're helping her train for something. Yeah, it's like Rocky pulling up mountains.
A
You know how great that would be? You're sitting in this stroller in an AC cab with a cooler of beer. You got the game on. Your phone and you look up and you just have. You just have just the most beautiful dump truck you've ever seen in your life in front of you.
B
Yeah.
D
That is true. Because women are more so wearing those like weighted vests on walks now.
B
Yeah, correct.
A
And that was also an added benefit is now she also doesn't even need to buy the weighted vest for hot girl walk jeans. Bring you along.
B
I would like. This isn't necessarily a feature but I would like there to be a Lightning McQueen edition.
A
Okay. Sure.
B
Painted like Lightning McQueen.
A
Yeah. We can do all. And that's where the upsell. Right. You know like crocs have the charms that go in them. We can sell decal.
B
Yep.
A
Spares, sticker sets, spinners could do. We do stroller nuts on the back.
B
Yeah.
C
You guys. I. I don't know if you. Did you guys say swivel seat. So if you're. If. If your wife wanted to talk to you but you you couldn't hear over the game, you could just spin your seat 180 degrees to face her.
B
I would like it to be able to control the speed. So if like I'm turning around annoyed, I can do it really slow.
C
Sound like Dr.
B
Evil.
A
Yeah.
B
Yep.
A
Exactly. Start adding in electricity into these. It's going to be a lot tougher. Well, we'll have it a lot tougher. Sell gets the price point goes way up.
B
We'll have the battery charge by the stroller moving.
A
And if you're wondering will we look dumb riding in a stroller. I don't think that we will
C
get
A
the out of here show taller.
B
No way.
A
Looks pretty cool and normal.
B
I think so.
A
Totally chatgpt. But my buddy that we came up with this, he put me, Connor and him into Chat GPT a prototype and they did a little mock up for marketing materials.
B
It does just look like you're in a motorized wheelchair with like a tray.
A
Telling you dude. Telling you.
C
Jesus. How much? What's the price point?
A
We're still early on. We're still early.
B
What's your inventory like?
A
Well this is. We're still in the concept phase so. But after seeing it like that you're probably feeling pretty good, right? And I'll get you this so you can put it in the episode. Jared.
D
I'm excited to see it. Weird.
A
What do you mean? Look at that. And then we can also sell coffee cups too. Look at that. Chat GPT even said it. Now it is with 2B's and not 1 and 1B. But we can get that fix.
B
Yeah.
A
It says hubby, the stroller for husbands.
D
I like it.
C
I mean, you could do an extension on the end, too, so you could lay down it if needed.
B
Yeah.
A
Get in the zero GS. Like those chairs.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
100. We can do anything we want. But I think the concept is there is now women don't have to go for walks by themselves. And plus, it's safer for women to go on walks with their husbands. You know, we don't want. We don't want anything bad happening if they're out there on. By themselves.
D
They have a little pistol door.
B
Yes.
D
You need a pistol.
A
Yeah, it was just. Honestly, just a holster on the side. Yeah.
B
Riding shotgun.
A
A riding shotgun?
B
Yeah.
A
Like a shotgun that's riding with you.
D
Yep.
A
Not riding.
B
It has its own sidecar and it
D
comes with a shotgun.
B
And when you pull it out of the holster, it chambers a shell.
A
Yes.
C
Why do we even need to. What? You shouldn't even have to pull it out. I think they could just be mounted on the sides.
A
Yeah.
C
So then you pretty much just. You just.
A
You reach around.
B
That would be sick.
D
Safety always off.
C
Yes. Dendrites.
A
So I know you guys were looking at me weird, but now I think you might have changed your tune.
B
I thought this is going to be like a stroller where the bottom is further away so you don't kick it when you're walking. That's my issue with strollers.
C
Yeah.
B
I thought that's where this was going.
A
No, Tyler, that's. That's chess. Or that's checkers. We're playing chess.
D
Like Steve Jobs once said, go big or go home.
B
Yeah, Steve said that. Yeah.
A
So I. I think we. We do already have investors that are this close to signing up.
B
Okay.
D
Wow.
B
That's exciting. Can we get a prototype in here?
A
We got to get funding first.
B
Okay.
D
Kickstarter.
A
If I'm not going to start a business with my own money, I'm going to get other people's money and then blow it all.
C
So when. When pigeon investors. What? I mean, you got to have some sort of an idea where the price point is going to be.
A
The idea is so good that the price point at this stage won't matter.
C
Okay.
A
You know what could. What could go wrong?
B
Some sort of. I mean, just look up model.
A
Just look up any regular stroller. It will just fit in that price point, you know?
D
Jesus.
A
6,000 Lamborghini. Well, that's a Lamborghini.
B
Aaron Co Lamborghini stroller.
A
That's my new you. That's our next YouTube video. Buying the most expensive stroller that money can buy.
D
Six grand.
A
Dude, that's crazy. I'm now starting to get nervous of what my wife spent on the stroller
C
for my kid jerking. You just type in 1300 bucks for a stroller.
A
Dude, we're gonna make so much money. The jogging stroller's 700, and that's for a baby. That's crazy, huh?
C
Yeah, I guess. I didn't know they were that expensive.
A
Also, Tyler, we just solved your problem with the kicking your feet. Just buy a jogging stroller. It looks like it's set further up so when you're running, your legs don't hit it.
B
It's. The problem is the damn undercarriage for him. I kicked the undercarriage.
A
I know, but I think that. That's what. I think that's what a jogging stroller is like.
B
So annoying.
A
Oh, there it is.
C
Yeah.
D
Yeah.
C
You got options.
D
Yeah, you jog.
A
Look at that. You don't even have to worry about with that stroller. Just get a jogging stroller. Just get a jogging stroller.
B
I'll just spend 700 bucks in a stroller, quick.
A
Oh, that and then this stroller. You can hook up to your bike, too. So if your wife's. Maybe your wife's like, oh, I want to go for a bike ride. We can have an attachment that just hooks up to the bike and you can ride in the back.
B
Yep.
C
With the. With the additional add on option to hook it up to the back of her vehicle, she can pull you like a trailer. And if you make it out alive, they refund your money.
A
I'm just gonna throw my hand up. Why don't you just ride in the car? Why don't you just sit in the passenger seat?
B
Because you don't want to go for a ride.
C
Yeah, you don't want it. You don't. You want to stay home, but you ride shotgun.
A
Now, I am still in the idea phase of this, so any thoughts and comments that may make this whole idea crumble, just throw them out.
B
I don't know. It's pretty watertight.
A
You want to. You want one that can get wet?
B
Yeah. Yeah. Make it waterproof. Yeah. Yep. It needs to be. It needs to be amphibious.
A
I sawed my stroller in half.
D
My hubby.
A
Yeah. Yeah. So you have no comments.
C
I'm just. I'm. I'm a little worried about looking too. Beta sitting in a thing.
D
Yeah, there's a beta factor here.
C
Like, who's. Who's the charge here? Is it easy fix? Is it the person pushing Me. Or is it me sitting in a stroller?
B
If you just make the stroller camo, then it's not beta.
A
No one can even see you in there.
D
Yeah, I could see that.
B
Can you?
C
But I also think if you have your kids with you, it makes you. It's like you're. You don't. You don't want to be in there, but your kid wanted you to come in there, so that's why you are. So if it do. If it. Yeah, if you can get the kid in the sidecar next to you, I think it makes you look less beta.
A
So I actually think.
C
Yeah.
A
What is more alpha than making a female push you around? What's more alpha male than making the female do all the work?
B
Andrew Tate, an investor.
A
Answer that question, Ryan. What's more alpha than not than making other people do the work? I mean, we can, like, we can. We can sell, like, a crown that goes with it to show that you're like, the king.
B
Yeah.
A
What kind of alpha you want carried
B
around in a cart that didn't even have wheels?
A
Literally. Kings never walked anywhere. And so go off king, get in your hubby.
C
But like, like, say kings and kings in modern day, like kings today. What's the point of them? I don't think anyone respects the king or the queen.
D
That's true.
C
You even said that yourself. The royal family, if you will.
A
It's a good question. The. The crown thing was. Was just an idea. Throw up. I'm swift, I'm trying to solve it. This is conversation.
B
Is it maybe the name of it? Maybe if we had it.
A
So what's the most alpha title that you can have then? If it's not King Man House. Okay, well, then we'll just make it look like. We'll have. Make it look like a house. Like your canopy over the top will just be a roof.
B
It's shingled.
A
Shingled roof, yep. But then. And it doubles as a funny joke that we could also put a thing on, it just says doghouse. So you're like, literally in the doghouse because you won't go on the walk. But then you, you know, because you're such an alpha. You're such an alpha dog.
D
It says big dog on board.
C
And so the wife would just be pushing you. That's her only job is to push your. You. You are steering as the husband.
A
Well, that's, you know, that's an add on. Well, we were discussing that, you know, that's. That we'll have to find out in focus groups which. Which feature they like better. But the other thing is, is again, we're selling to women guys. And so I don't know if women. If. If. If the wives will like us steering or not. So that will determine whether, you know, the gals like the steering feature or not.
C
Because I think the more. I think if the wife is steering, then she's in full control of what's going on. Which in this situation, honestly, is kind of vibe.
B
Did Jesus take the wheel? And by Jesus, I mean you, honey.
D
Yeah.
C
I don't think that's very alpha, though.
A
I think the only one worried about the alpha.
C
I'm trying to pop holes in it, flex, seal the holes up. If it's watertight, just flex, seal them up. That's my. That's my job here.
A
I mean, I just think if you're worried about being an alpha male, you're just not ever getting in any product like that.
C
Yeah, you're probably right.
A
So we don't even need to worry about that target market.
C
Okay. I might just like Tyler and I don't know.
D
I'm not.
A
I. I would fucking ride around in that.
B
Yeah, I don't know. Maybe. I don't know.
A
You can't tell me that if the normal crew you run with, if all the wives bought you and your buddies these strollers, I would feel better about
B
it in a group. Yeah, I feel pretty weird by myself.
A
Okay, well, there we go.
C
Don't forget that in the elevator pitch. Investor meetings. You gotta.
A
You gotta throw that out of running clubs. We have stroller clubs, and it's a great way for the gals to get and gossip and the guys to sit and watch the game together. While also appeasing the wife.
B
Yep. To all make sure they're on the same streaming app. So there's no lag in the game.
D
Yeah, you can. You can connect. You can talk to other hubbies.
A
Yeah, yeah. You call it the hub.
D
Yeah.
A
Now we're starting to think. See, I knew that you guys are the right guys to call upon.
D
Thank you.
A
Now, you know, Tyler's brought that idea forward. You guys haven't brought forward. So let's pick it up. What other stuff can we have?
D
What are you talking about? The cab and the acc.
A
Ryan.
C
Oscillating chair.
B
He was swept with you, Ryan. A swivel chair.
A
Good job, guys.
D
Try to gaslight us. Yeah.
C
What the.
B
It's because.
C
It's because we're popping holes in this thing left and right.
A
I just got so fixated on the fact that you want to Andrew Tate this thing you want to Andy Elliot this idea of mine. And so I was a little fixated on that. I forgot about your 180 degree oscillating chair. I'm sorry. Forgot you wanted to practice idea worse by applying Andrew Tate and Andy Elliott is to be a total fucking Alpha douchebag. His name's got to be Andrew or Andy.
D
And bald.
A
And bald. So it sounds like you guys are in. Like you guys are in. And also we also had an idea that if. And also this idea I'm about to say is a stolen idea from my buddy's dad.
C
Okay.
A
But I gaslighted him and I. I just stole his idea and then told him that was my idea.
B
Zuckerberg him.
A
Because I. Because I'd like someday to be there be a movie about the fact I stole this portion of the idea.
B
Hell yeah.
A
So I'm going to say that this is my idea. It was not mine. It's a stolen idea. But I'm going to claim it as my own.
B
We'll call the movie the Stroller Network.
A
And I say that because it's a two way street. I can act it like it's my idea. And when I say it, if you guys don't like it, I can say that it's not my idea.
C
You see, you're safe either way.
A
Safe either way. But I think that this is also great for guys that are probably like 55 plus because their bodies are starting to break down so they like can't even literally go on walks with their wives anymore. And so what we do is we have the government pay for them.
B
Hell yeah.
A
Like Medicaid or whatever. Yeah. It's part of the insurable. It's part of the Medicare program. And, and they're just getting this paid for. And then if I know anything about government contracts is as soon as you get one, you're a billionaire.
B
Yeah.
A
So we could, we get signed up through Medicare and people guys could be just getting them.
D
And the attachments are like HSA approved.
B
Yeah.
A
Correct.
B
Oh, absolutely. And the second the government's ink is dry in the paper, your price triples.
A
Quadruples.
B
Yeah.
D
Quintuples.
B
Yeah. And the Encino Lamborghini stroller is just a joke to us.
A
We're going to be selling $24,000 str dollars.
C
Yeah.
A
And $8,000 attachments.
C
Yeah.
B
Paid for by sales tax.
A
Yeah. But the, the consumer doesn't have to pay for them. The government does.
D
Right. They're not.
A
It definitely doesn't come back to everyone paying for it. For our select few of target market. I want the whole country to pay for it. That's capitalism, baby.
C
It could also be like a, like some sort of like retirement gift too. Like let's say that you. Or like it. Like let's say you've paid 30 straight years of taxes. The government will reward you with a, with a hobby.
A
So she's doing free gifts. It's like when you buy a bunch of new line, they just send you like here's a chair rocking chair.
C
No, the government is buying them from us. So we have the government contract and
A
that's they can do whatever they want with it. Correct.
C
Yes.
A
Yeah, we don't give a. But it's a better pitch if the check don't bounce and it cashes, we're good. We don't care what they do with it.
C
Yeah.
A
Burn them.
C
Yeah.
A
Put them in a cave underground and call them government strollers. I don't care.
C
Yeah.
D
Right next to the cheese.
A
Right next to the cheese cave
B
using to haul the cheese out of the cave. Repurpose it.
A
And I also think you guys aren't thinking about how once you get the, the, the stock hubby model every. So guys are notoriously tough to buy gifts for. Well, next birthday comes around, your family knows exactly what to buy you. He's got the hubby. Now he needs the hubby cooler. Now he needs the matching hubby thermos. Now he needs the, the cup holder. IPhone holder. So you can watch the game hands free.
B
Yeah. And on Valentine's Day, hubby premiums free.
A
Yeah.
C
Yep.
A
Yeah, we can have a streaming service if you want. That would be sick. You know, you buy the, you buy the Mega plus model and you get the red model.
C
You get VR goggles with it and
A
you get in VR, you buy the red model and you get like a, like a tube, like a TV tube. So like a red tube that goes on there and it just plays our stuff the whole time for free.
D
We love our stuff.
B
The VR goggles are a good idea too. You could be anywhere. You could be back in your living room if you wanted to be.
A
Dude, that would be so great.
B
What are you doing? Watching the game.
A
I'm learning how to make bread.
C
I'm picking grapes.
B
I'm zooming in.
C
I'm taking some online massage therapist classes.
A
I also think we glazed over the idea that you can get the wagon attachment with the harness and then you could just watch your wife walk. You don't even need television.
B
Yeah.
A
You know what I mean? Because it's not Creepy if it's your wife.
B
That's true.
A
It's true.
B
And we have. We have made the stroller hands free and.
A
And so like the kit. The kit for the harness so that you can ride behind your wife and she can pull you. Comes with a pair of booty shorts that she can walk in.
B
Spanx.
A
Sure.
B
Yeah. Same diff.
A
I don't know if. I don't know if Spinks is athletic wear or not.
C
Isn't that what cheerleaders would wear? They wear underneath their tutus or whatever.
A
Spanx are like shapewear that basically are really tight and sucks everything in to make you look. Everything look firmer.
D
More.
C
I think they used. I think cheerleaders wear them underneath of their.
B
I don't know.
A
Anyway, I just know Spanx are kind of like an older woman thing that
C
once you start, you never stop.
A
Once everything. Once gravity takes over, it helps. It helps defy gravity is from what I understand.
D
Yeah,
A
That song was about Spanx.
B
I misinterpreted that movie. It makes sense now.
A
Most people do.
B
Yeah.
A
Wicked is about Spanx.
C
You could also upgrade to walking pad for like the winter time with a. With a slight incline. So like your wife is still the weight of you in the cart behind her is. She's still has to hold that while walking up the walking pad.
A
Well, if that's the case, then we should just get a. We just do a chair behind a treadmill. This is. Now we're just selling a chair that sits behind the treadmill.
C
It's called the walking up the stairs.
A
It's just you in your basement while you're. Your wife walks on the treadmill. You can do that now without paying anything.
C
No, I'm saying.
A
And then you're just sitting in a chair and just watching her as she walks.
C
No, no, the walking. It's long enough to where your cart is also on the pad.
D
What?
A
That is extra danger. That doesn't need to happen.
C
So when she's walking, she still has the weight of you behind her.
A
Got it.
C
And still has. It's like walking on an incline.
D
Pulling this Treble is like 20ft.
C
Yeah, it's at least.
A
It's at least 15ft long.
C
Yeah. I mean, you're laughing at this. This idea, but you're not laughing at the whole idea in general.
B
You went to athletics. They kind of did this athletic republic. Remember?
C
That's what I'm saying.
B
They would strap those things to us on the treadmill and they'd stand behind and pull it.
A
So that's what you do you just.
D
I'm saying you're like a home unit is ridiculous.
A
That's a commercial unit.
C
You guys are trying to make money here or not?
D
I don't know if we are.
C
What do we do in the wintertime? North Dakota? We stay inside.
A
That is true. It does not.
D
We.
A
Well, I think we need to do is. Is do well. There we go. Just another attachment. You know how on your side by side you can change the wheels for tracks?
B
We just do that with the snowmobile upsell and she can snowshoe with you on there.
A
Then we can really kill it in the. In the Nordic countries too.
B
Yep.
D
Really kill it. Canada's gonna love us.
A
Canada's gonna love it. Alaska is gonna love it.
D
The great country of Alaska is going to love it.
A
I love that country. I love that country. We should make them the 51st state. Alaska.
D
Yeah, that's a good idea.
A
We should make Alaska the 51st state.
D
Yeah. We always forget about it. We might as well.
A
They're basically just like us. Plus they have a bunch of resources we could use.
D
Yeah, it's a great idea.
A
Now, the maps would look kind of weird. You know, it is pretty big.
D
I don't know.
A
It's probably a dumb idea. Maybe for the first day. So. Yeah. We just solved your winter thing. How you feel about that?
D
How about that?
C
I. I don't. I feel fine about it.
D
You don't feel. You don't. You don't seem fine about it.
A
You don't seem well.
C
Because I'm not an investor.
A
Possibly you, though. That's what it's about. You want in.
C
There's still holes that I got.
A
Because we got room for some sweat equity.
C
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
A
We're gonna need a guy. We're gonna need the guy to source the products. If I know any. Anything about the guys in this room, you're the one guy equipped for.
D
That'd be a nightmare.
A
What do you mean? The tongs went good. The vests went good. Koozies, the fishing shirts went good.
B
Let's just order 10,000 hubbies right away, minimum. Yeah.
A
What do you think? Why don't you get on the baba and order up some strollers?
C
Price is right. Price is right.
A
He hits up Alibaba's like, So I want this stroller, but I want it husband sized.
C
And by the way, do you offer VR goggles plug into this deal? Any e brake also at that point, you're just. You're just taking a bunch of products and combining them into one.
A
It won't be that hard as attachments and upsells.
C
Correct.
A
Yeah, it's like car wash equipment. You don't make any money on car wash equipment. You make money on selling the shampoo every single month to the car wash.
D
That's a good way to wash money, too, as a car wash. Yucks.
A
It is. It's a whole washing scheme.
B
Clean car, figuratively.
A
Clean cars, clean money.
D
That's.
A
Everyone knows that.
B
That's their slogan.
D
They put it right in the front.
A
I think Jared's the only one that hasn't had a complaint about it. So I think it's.
D
Yeah, it's seamless. It's perfect.
A
Because Jared, how off your. Your wife's always hounding you about going for a walk.
D
Yeah, it's actually the opposite, but, yeah,
B
that's how it is for me too.
A
Okay, then we'll have a pink version that's called the wifey.
D
The wifey. Yeah.
A
Yeah. We just unlocked a whole new market.
B
Yep.
A
For those alpha. The alpha fit guys out there that their wives doesn't want to go on a walk with them. Now we have the wifey as well, and it's pink. But is that alpha enough for you to be pushing around a pink stroller or is that okay, Ryan, Pink camo.
C
Yeah, I'm not riding in it. I think it's totally fine.
A
But if you're pushing a pink stroller with your wife in it, you're cool with that?
C
Yeah, as long as I'm pushing it. What if it. I could be pushing anything. I could be pushing p.
D
Oh, funny.
B
Nice.
A
Thanks, guys.
D
I'd be pushing tea.
A
All right, well, now we can do the wifey as well.
C
Why don't we just do one for a baby at that point?
A
We do family tree.
B
We call that one the baby
A
baby with. Oh, and also for those of you who don't know, because we're selling to women, it's not hubby with a Y, it's hubby with an I.
B
Nice.
D
Oh, good, good, good.
A
So the baby would be B A B I. Yep.
C
So then wifey would be wifi WI
D
fi with Starlink,
B
So.
A
Oh, okay. So your product line is the hubby, the baby, and the wi fi. Well, it's actually wifi wifey,
C
So yeah,
A
I think that could be good. And I. I was also thinking too, that, like, because, you know, like, not every sidewalk is, like 20ft wide in case you got, like, four kids, you know, so sometimes you got a narrow sidewalk. So what you could do is there's a upgrade attachment wise, that's Just called the Santa's sleigh. And so the husband is in the. The hubby. And then the family tree is in front of you two by two, like reindeer.
B
Nice. Okay, Gotcha. I thought you were gonna go a double decker situation. But that would make it hard for the wife to see.
A
Correct.
B
It would be a second floor.
A
So it's like basically like you're flying Santa's sleigh.
B
Yep.
D
Great. For December. It's like one of those tracks, like
B
barrel trains pulled by a lawnmower at a kid's fest.
A
And then we can do collabs with it, you know? You know, get a licensing deal with the NFL. Have a Vikings stroller.
D
Oh, I see what you're saying.
B
Yeah.
A
Merchantless. Yeah. They're like, it's.
B
The stroller is fantastic. And then the wheels will fall off about 20 yards from home.
A
Nice.
B
Yeah, yeah.
A
The Vikings.
B
Your destination will be right there within your grass. And then the wheels will fall off the wagon.
A
Yeah, yeah.
D
It's programmed into it.
B
Yep.
A
And I do think that, like, if. If my wife's gonna drive this stroller like she drives a car, I think I'm gonna need an airbag.
D
And insurance.
A
Yeah, insurance.
B
They need to be insurance.
A
I'm gonna be honest. Might even need an eject button.
B
That's the E brakes for, though.
A
And we're gonna have to do some sort of curb wheels because she's gonna be just slamming into every curve.
C
Yeah, the wheels are definitely gonna get, like, they're gonna get caught. They're gonna get caught right in between the sidewalk and the grass. That little rut. It's gonna be tough to get out.
A
And honestly, we should probably sell a hubby branded helmet as well. Could you imagine sitting in the stroller while your wife is pushing you, while wearing a helmet and like, just like eating a popsicle or something, and then someone sees it and just like, wow, what is going on over there?
C
Sipping on a bottle of milk.
B
Yeah. They would just think she's your caretaker.
C
Yeah, yeah. At that point.
B
Yeah.
A
But just think about, like, even, like you're viewing this as a walk thing, but also think about and. Okay, guys, my mind is just flowing with ideas. Number one, we also need, like, a leather. Leather upgrade. Like a. Like a lazy, like, what I'm in right now. If we can get a seat upgrade that's like this. That's really comfortable. We need to do that. And that parlays into my next idea. This isn't just for walks. This is like when your wife wants you to go Shopping with her. Being to the mall brings you to the mall. And you just sit there, and she walks around and shops, and you're just sitting there like this the whole time. You know how sick that would be?
C
Sitting there like Stephen Hawking.
A
Yeah. And that's what we'll do. We'll call it the Stephen Hawking package. So then you don't even have to talk. You just have buttons. You just have buttons.
B
You just go like, your ass look big, looks great.
A
Yeah, that's too expensive. That's too expensive. That's too expensive.
D
That button gets worn out right over.
A
Yes.
D
All the eggs off of it.
A
What's that button there? That's the. Too expensive. Yeah, the haw go. Yeah. And then let's say something bad does happen and you end up in a wheelchair. You don't even need to buy a wheelchair. You got one.
C
Yeah, yeah. And if your wife doesn't want to push you at the mall, you could. You know, like, you know, there's that app where.
A
Well, there'd be a break on it that just. She just puts. Puts you up next to the other hubbies.
C
Well, in the.
A
In the. In the hallway.
D
Yeah.
C
No, I was going to say there's this dog walking app. So you can go on this app and say, hey, I'll walk your dog.
B
Whatever.
C
You can hire. You can hire other females or other males to push you around the mall if your wife doesn't want to push you.
A
Husband walking.
B
You take my husband out for a walk, please.
C
That's subscription.
B
He hasn't been outside in a while.
C
It's like doordash. You're just, you. You're doordashing someone else's husband from spot to spot.
B
That is help him be on time.
C
True.
B
You know,
C
you guys want to make money or you want to close down in a year?
D
I don't know if we want to make money.
C
What, Subscription based?
A
Okay, you want to make this subscription based?
C
No, the. The husband walking.
B
We should do a subscription box thing where you just get an add on once a month for. For 150 bucks.
C
Yeah, but the add on is a sticker.
B
Yeah, we don't. The add on's different every month. One month you might get the cup. The next month you might get a little ass sticker. That's the point of staying subscribed. Next month's gonna be better.
C
Or we could withhold hardware from the original packaging, and every month you get one nut or bolt to then start
D
building one piece at a time.
B
There's no suspension on this Thing yet.
C
Correct.
D
There's no wheels on it yet.
B
Increase your subscription and you'll get them sooner.
C
You get that in month 18.
D
Oh, then we also have a hubby credit card. So you can only use the hubby credit card?
A
Well, no, we'll have microtransactions. You know, like if you want to add a button to your little board, you just have to pay, you know.
D
Yeah, yeah.
A
399 for it.
D
Like sidewalk lane assist. That's could be an upgrade you can pay for.
B
Yeah.
D
So you don't want to.
A
Which I have a feeling it's gonna be a hot seller.
D
Exactly.
A
Sidewalk lane assist is definitely going to be almost probably number one add on. I didn't even think about that. I was worried about, you know, the eject button, the airbags. We just need to get sidewalk assist.
D
Exactly. And then maybe, I don't know, adaptive cruise control, but maybe that's too much.
A
Yeah. Because we don't want the wife to completely get off the hook. We still need her to go for a walk.
D
Right.
A
You know?
B
Yeah.
C
Because it might be considered a motorized vehicle and you can have it on sidewalk.
D
Well, it'd be street legal.
A
Well, that's just another upgrade kit.
C
But also if you, you understand how wives drive and then you want them pushing us in an open potential open cab stroller on the road, it'd be
A
like riding on the front of the motorcycle, but the handlebars are behind you. And your wife's driving.
C
Yeah.
A
Do you want to do that?
D
Probably not.
C
Yeah.
A
It's like you're riding the handlebars of a motorcycle that your wife is driving. I think that's a good idea.
D
Maybe not. It's the idea stage though. No idea is a bad idea.
A
And to make it even more cool.
C
Yeah, sure.
A
To make it even more cool. Like you can. The seat belt can be like racing seat belt that, like. Like a harness that goes over, you know, that clips like right here and doesn't go like down there. You know, we can make this thing cool.
C
Massage feature on the upgrade.
B
Yep.
A
Oh my God. Getting. Getting a massage white or just like
D
a foot massager, like where your feet would be.
B
Yeah.
A
AC seats.
D
AC seats.
A
Because it gets hot out there.
C
Jared said that a while ago.
A
You said AC seats.
B
Yeah, right away.
A
Sorry.
C
His mind is, is. It's running at full speed. The hubby would go.
D
It's going to mile per hour right now.
A
So. Yeah, I think we're working on it. I'd love to know if the patrons. If it's. If it's what rhymes with buy side. Try, you know, fly
C
guy, cry.
B
My, my.
A
You know, like, buy or sell. You know, like what I was trying to think of. Clever. Hot or not listed or hot or not product, I guess.
B
Do you love it or list it?
A
Love it or list it?
D
Just came up with that. That was good.
B
Right at the top of the dome. Yeah.
A
Is it a. Is it a flip or is it a flop?
B
Yeah, you know, we'll find out. Only time will tell.
C
Yeah. Buyer. Buy or cry. Meaning, like, either you buy it or your wife starts crying because you won't go for a walk with her.
A
This is a buy or cry. Maybe both. Plus, like, think of the, like, bro time you can give with your son if you're both riding in the stroller together.
B
Sub dude.
A
Just shenanigans you can get into up there, you know, Spitballs. Turn right, get him to turn around. Shoot a spitball at your wife. Be fun.
C
Paper footballs.
B
She's like, all right, but only water. She'll stop pushing us.
A
You maybe each have a paintball gun. And as you go by road signs, you should shoot the signs of paintball guns.
D
Or the Canadian geese. You can shoot at them.
A
Shoot at the Canadian.
B
Start a war with the geese.
A
Paint the white geese red.
B
Yep.
A
With paint. Not. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
D
We don't want to harm them.
A
Just want to spook them. Kind of fun. Well, Jared, should we take a break?
D
Sure.
A
I just thought of a new collab that we could try and pitch a company on. Oh, you guys are wearing them.
B
Are you talking about Shady Race?
A
Shady Rays. A hobby. Shady Rays collab would break the Internet.
B
Hinted windshield on the hubby. Shady Ray Tech.
A
Shady Ray Polarized tech. Or we could just do that, you know, like a special edition Shady Rays for the hubby. You know, we could run a deal that every hubby comes with a free pair of Shady Rays. Like, we can really work the system.
B
Or every pair of Shady Rays comes with a free hubby.
A
We could do that. I don't know who's footing the bill on that one.
C
Government.
A
But all I know is that if you're a husband or just a guy, or even a gal, for that matter.
C
Whoa, they got gals.
A
If you're a guy or a gal and you're looking for a nice pair of. Nice pair of Ray. Nice pair of shades to block out the rays, you gotta go to shadyrays.com and use code YBR to get 50 off two or more polarized pairs of Shady Ray sunglasses.
C
It's a great Deal.
A
This is a great deal and no better time than now. So go check it out@shadyrays.com. you bet you, Rick. No shadyrays.com use code YBR for 50 off two or more polarized glasses. And when you're riding in that hubby, oh my God.
C
And the sun's beating the hater blockers
A
that you're wearing, just nothing exists except for you and the open sidewalk. So go check out, check them all out on Shady Race. Oh, wow.
B
Oh, yeah.
A
Was you're wondering. No, Ryan didn't crack his tooth.
D
He just.
A
He just broke a breaker. And right now Lucy's got some breakers, which. Ryan, explain what just happened in your mouth.
C
It was kind of like. It was a. It was a flavor rush, a gush inside my taste buds.
A
It's like a gush of flavor rush in your mouth. Every pouch comes in the Lucy breakers with a little flavor flavor of some sort that when you burst it open, your mouth is filled with flavor and they last very long and they taste really good. And also you get your fix of nicotine as well. And so if you guys want to try out the Lucy breakers, you got to go to Lucy Co. Slash, you betcha use promo code. You betcha get 20 off your first order when you buy online. That's Lucy Co. You betcha promo code. You betcha you don't want to wait. And you can also buy them in store. So go to their website, use their store locator, and find a location that's got Lucy and Lucy breakers near you. And remember, guys, that Lucy products are only for adults of legal age and every customer is age verified. Warning, this product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical. All right, Ryan, you had a pretty big weekend this weekend.
C
Big time weekend.
A
And so the only thing I know about and the only reason why I know this is because today you were talking about that you had a big golf trip this last weekend.
C
Oh, my God. I don't think it could have been bigger. 72 holes, two days, shut the bar down one of the nights.
B
Old man out of his cage time
C
since we've shut the bar down.
B
Yeah.
A
Was he doing this when you guys said the double buggy show once?
B
I think no. I even shut a bar down, but we were up to bar club quits,
A
a golf podcast, then goes on a 72 hole golf trip.
C
It's only. It's the second annual.
B
Yeah.
C
Annual golf trip. So the last. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We shut the bar down once last year too, in which we were doing the podcast.
B
Yeah. Yeah, you did. Yeah, I remember that.
D
So before your trip, you said you're gonna drink 20 beers total. How much did you drink?
B
He blew that water.
D
Really?
C
Oh, my God. Way more than that. Hey.
A
30 more. 40 more.
C
80 more.
A
200
C
probably more.
A
What?
C
Yeah, it's been. It's been a long time since I've drank like I did on the course. And I'll tell you what, I fell into the slot and I was. I was getting cocky. I was somebody.
A
Nothing is worse than Cocky Ryan. I was getting you guys experienced Cocky Ryan before. Unless you're on his team.
C
Correct.
A
Yes. You're competing against Cocky Ryan. It's the most insufferable thing in the world.
D
Yeah.
A
Not competing against a Cocky Miles is not. But I don't have. I. I just am Cocky Miles, so I don't. I haven't experienced that.
C
Yeah.
A
This is a question for Tyler. Who's worse, Cocky Miles or Cocky Ryan Or Cocky Jared or Cocky Jared?
B
I'd love to see Cocky Jared 9 times out of 10 when Ryan's being cocky. We're on the same team, so your cocky Miles is worse.
C
And I'm also. I'm not saying you aren't, but I am still conscious of other people's feelings and what I'm saying, to be cocky towards.
D
That's what I was gonna say.
C
Yeah, I know. So, yeah, we. So we. We played a 2v2. It was me and my buddy who play it. We play as 12 handicaps, and the other two we were playing against were playing as nine handicaps. So that was also why I was getting cocky, is because we were crushing them.
D
They're crushing beers.
C
Yeah, we were crushing beers and crushing them. We played them straight up.
A
Oh, wow.
C
Yeah, that's.
B
That's how cocky he was.
C
That's why I was getting cocky.
D
But he was. He had their feelings in mind though, too.
C
I did. I did. I wasn't. And it was also. It was the first night.
A
That was a lie, by the way. I'm not gonna let that slide. There's no way you were taking their feelings into account.
C
I think we were up four. We were up four stroke. And. And we weren't playing like one point per hole. We were playing cumulative score. So, like, if someone had a blow up hole, that mattered a lot. So two 12s versus two nines.
A
So in golf terms, it's match play versus net.
C
Yes.
B
Yeah.
C
Correct. This isn't a golf podcast, so I
A
didn't want to explain.
C
That's a double bully show.
A
Not. Not Found where all podcasts still can be found.
B
Just no new episodes.
C
I think the. The cherry on top was when we. After we hit our tee shots on 18, we're up four strokes. And before I. We were the cart in front before I started going, I looked back and I said, you guys got your venmos ready. Drove off. Not another word was said after that.
D
Yeah, right.
C
Oh, my God.
B
Was that.
C
I. I felt like I was. I was 2014 on the bump. But hey, if you're gonna take a golf trip, I. Yeah, like I. Anyone who takes a golf trip, I hope you play well on a golf trip.
D
It saves some money.
C
Yeah. Make some money in the process. Because having playing bad during a golf trip is a shitty, shitty feeling. I had one of those rounds, but I wasn't getting so cocky that round either. And then of course, you know, we're at the bar that night, I was buying rounds like, ah, I feel bad for you guys.
A
That's because you care about other people.
C
I care about the feelings. Yeah. Yeah, I care. I was caring about Felix. So anyway, yeah, it was a good weekend.
B
Sorry about kicking the. Out of you today. Here's a beer.
C
Yeah.
B
Sorry about taking hundreds of dollars from you earlier.
C
Well, no, the place we were at, the. The beers were. The beers were 12 bucks.
B
Jesus.
C
So that mattered.
B
Swanky.
C
Yeah, I had money to blow.
A
Hey, you did.
C
I had money.
B
Yeah, you did.
A
So how much money did you win
B
total
C
across all four rounds? Oh, probably 130.
B
That ain't bad.
C
That's 10 beers.
B
Yeah.
C
10 beers.
D
Yeah.
B
Wait, 10 beers at the.
C
At the Ritz at 12 bucks a piece.
A
Where are you getting 12 bucks a piece per beer buzz, were they. What are they?
B
Oh, yeah, actually, I was.
C
I didn't. I wasn't gonna say it out loud, but I mean. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It wasn't.
B
It.
C
It wasn't. It wasn't a cheap night of drink.
B
No small town deals there.
C
No. God, no.
A
Yikes. With a Z. Yikes.
C
Yeah. Yeah, we were balling out. I was playing with house money.
B
Super outrageous.
C
We said. Yeah, yeah, we started.
A
So you said you had over 200 beers. So times that by 12.
C
But not just. Not just there.
A
I mean 200 times 12. That means you spent $2400 on. On beers for yourself.
D
Not a bad weekend.
A
Yeah, it's a lot of beers.
C
That is a lot of beers. There was an employee who they clearly had S's in their names, but it changed it to Z, so we're. Yeah.
A
Anyway, hey, peak humor, Ryan. That's so sick.
C
I can guarantee they haven't heard that one before.
B
What do you want?
C
Dad's having a good time. That's what we were.
D
Instead of Sam, it's Zam.
C
Yeah, Zam. Zam. Do another one.
A
Yeah.
D
That's an inside joke.
A
Oh, right Mood Ryan. Actually, I feel like this is a Ryan that's one step past Right Mood Ryan into Cocky Ryan, you know? Like, I feel like that's another thing. You go from right mood to cocky back to right mood.
C
Oh, yeah.
A
Okay, that's good.
C
Yeah, I know.
A
It suck if you stayed in Cocky Ryan the whole night.
C
No, yeah, I was. I mean, once the putt was sunk and then we. It was all kosher again.
A
As long as they paid you.
C
Yeah, they. I. I made sure they had the Venmos ready by the time we got to the 18th hole. Remember? Because I asked him at the defense.
A
No, I know.
C
Okay. Yeah.
A
So serious. This is just a bit that. It only is culture.
B
Anyways, I'm proud of you, Ryan. I'm gonna take the.
D
Nice job, ryan.
C
Thanks, boys. 200 beers is not easy. And I did it.
B
So that's my mountain to climb.
A
So that is a weekend that doesn't suck.
D
Right?
C
Suck at all.
A
Jared wants us to discuss signs that your weekend is about to suck. So what in. Ryan, what would have. If you would have walked in that weekend, what would have to happen to where instead of it not sucking, would you have been like, this sucks?
C
Probably if I forgot my ID at home.
D
Okay, that's a great one.
B
That would suck.
C
So the places we were drinking were. They were IDing us every time.
B
I get it. About 50. 50 these.
C
Yeah.
A
So that was. It's like, hey, I forgot my D. My weekend's about to suck.
C
That's. Well, then you pull up your Facebook. You're like, hey, look, I have two kids. I swear, I'm over 21. Look, you could even swipe. Look at when I graduated. Senior picks 2011. That's what you. That's. That's the type of you got to do if you forget your idea and you don't want to be scrolling through Facebook when you're trying to buy a brewski.
D
The last thing you want to do.
C
Yeah, you're. Yeah. You got one thing in your mind, and that's crushing the scan over your head when it's. When it's done.
B
I think a sign your weekend's about to suck. If your wife asks you if you're ready for this weekend and you don't know what she's referring to.
A
That's just sucks.
C
That's an issue.
A
So bad.
C
That's definitely a bad sign.
B
A bad sign. Did you pack yet? For what? No, I haven't packed. What do I need to put in there again?
C
Going to a wedding? Your third cousin.
B
How nice the clothes do I need?
D
Yeah, try to get heads.
B
Crocs, maybe? No, no Crocs. Okay. Okay.
C
Yeah. So what are you wearing? Day one, you think you just go day by day?
B
What are you gonna wear?
C
Yeah, I'd like to match you.
B
Yeah. Yeah. Well, I know. It just be easier if you pack for me. I'll pack the beers.
C
You just want to lay some options out for me.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
C
I'll take it from there.
A
There will be no beers this weekend. You're like, oh, okay.
C
Okay.
B
All right.
A
So we're going to a funeral. I think another thing that your weekend is about to suck is in that same vein where she's discussing what nice clothes you have to wear. You know what I mean?
C
Yeah. Well, yeah. Because I only have, like, two nice outfits.
A
Correct. And if. If she starts talking about what you're going to wear in terms of nice attire, your alarm should be going off. That this isn't going to be as fun as you think it's gonna be.
B
Yep. Because even if, like, even if I know I'm going to a wedding, I usually know what the vibe's gonna be. But if it's something where she specifically has to tell me, this is the vibe, that sucks.
A
We're in trouble. That sucks bad. Go ahead, Jared.
D
I have a. Like a long tornado watch, like on a certain weekend day. Because your whole day is, like, planned around, like. Well, we gotta get back before the tornado. We need to have shelter ready. We can't really go on the boat.
A
Yeah. And specifically lake.
D
Right.
A
But I will have to. I will have to argue, Jared, that sometimes on a dull weekend, a little tornado watch can really spice it up.
D
You're the drama guy, though.
B
Or.
A
Or even, like just a hard. A hard thunderstorm really can spice up a weekend.
B
Yeah.
D
Yeah, that's true.
A
So it's my only pushback against that because, like, we were having. There was a storm coming through, rumors of hail. So then I now, for the next hour, had to figure out how to get all of our vehicles in our garage.
D
Yes.
A
And it was a game of Tetris. And so that was actually pretty fun.
B
Yeah. And then it didn't hail.
A
Then didn't hail.
C
Yeah.
A
But now I know exactly how to do it for the next time.
B
It only hails when you're unprepared. That's the best way to stop hail is to prepare for hail.
A
Okay. Then I'm gonna put my cars in the gar every day that never get hail.
B
It's my theory. It's my shingles theory. If you. If you plan to protect your. Your items from hail damage, it will not hail.
C
Yeah. And if you like. Yeah. Forget to put them inside or you can't fit them inside. You just hope it's. It's heavy enough hail to where it just totals your truck.
B
Yep. And then you just get a new one next week.
C
Yeah. Pay it off.
B
You know, I actually want to do same vein again. Signs your weekends are going to suck is when you look out and it looks foggy, but it's just it. But it smells like wood burning.
A
Yes, the wood burning air.
B
Yep.
D
Yep.
C
And not like a nice bonfire type of wood burning.
B
No, like a. Like you're burning car tires. A whole.
A
Like a whole forest is on fire.
B
Yeah, like, like, but not right next to you. Like the whole force is like a country away. Yeah.
C
Yeah.
A
Like it smells like one country away.
D
Smoke with a hint of maple syrup.
B
Yeah.
A
But really nice smoke. You know, like it's there. It's nice smoke like this.
B
The smoke feels bad for being in your way, but it's still in your way. Yeah.
D
Great for photography too. That when the smoke settles, look at the depth.
B
Oh, yeah. Yeah.
A
Wait, what if you're taking a photo? It looks better without the smoke.
D
With the smoke.
A
Yeah. Yeah. It's like, it's. It's kind of mystical dream.
D
That's depth.
A
It's great.
B
It's great for lighting too. It's just like a natural diffuser.
D
Exactly.
A
Another way, you know your weekend's gonna sucks when your wife says you gotta take family photos.
B
Yeah. Yeah.
A
Because now. Because now like, like even if you're taking like sunset photos, the last four hours of your day are.
C
Oh, my God.
A
Because she's worrying about what you know she's gonna wear. She has to go get ready, which takes God knows how long.
C
And you lost your belt that went with these pants that she wants you to wear.
A
Can't go outside because you get too sweaty, you know, and we're having photos. And now. And then. And then she's like, well, what do you think I should wear? And then you make the wrong comment. And then she's now on a tizzy about what she's gonna wear.
C
Yeah.
D
You're like, from now on, we're gonna go to JCPenney to take photos. Yes.
A
And then, like, an hour before photos, she has to give you the talk that you need to. You can't be a big piece of shit during it, and you have to pretend like you like it. You guys ever get that talk?
B
I'm the one giving that talk now to my three children.
D
Right.
B
But I got to talk before I had all the kids.
A
Hey, just. Just do. Just smile and take the photos. Good.
B
It'll be over faster if you just smile.
A
Just don't be. Don't pout about it.
B
Just.
A
Every guy's gotten the talk from their wife on that. You need to not be such a pouty guy during family photos. Everyone's got it at some point.
B
Yep. And now, like, the. The talk. I don't out. I'm not giving that exact same talk to my three boys. But it'd be like, guys, if we want mom to not be mad at us, we have to do this the right way. Yeah. Just smile, guys. Okay.
A
This is her Super Bowl.
B
We are a team, and right now, we need to work together to make that one happy.
C
Yeah.
A
We'll go to Culver. Yeah. Never refer to her as your wife or the mom. Just that one.
B
Yes.
A
That one wants to be happy. And so we're gonna do that.
B
Yeah. Because you're about to see a different side of your mother, boys.
A
And this is, like, classic. Like, the bar is set so low. That's just, like. Just don't act shitty about family photos is all our wives are asking. And for us, it's just a chore.
C
Yeah. That I usually start making comments I should make when it gets towards the end of the photo session.
A
Dude, there's a.
C
When are we gonna be done?
A
It's like, the last, like, 20 minutes of family photos is always just. It's a deep, dark pit.
B
Yeah.
A
Of just.
B
I.
A
My. My go to move is like, okay. Then there's like, a pause. She's like, okay.
C
And I. I know. I. I know exactly what you're saying right now. And usually when you say that, you put some motion into it. So, like, you're. Because if you. If you break pose, then the photographer's got no choice but then to, like, move on to the next one.
D
Yeah. It's like, it. It's like an NBA game where there's a lot of, like, falls at the end that keeps dragging on.
B
Oh, my God.
A
Okay.
B
The last fucking three minutes of a basketball game are the longest three minutes of any sport.
D
That's what photos are like.
B
Yeah.
D
Towards the edge.
A
Also, during family photos, you do have to ask the photographer should you think we got some good ones? What are they gonna tell you?
B
No, like, honestly, these are gonna turn out pretty mediocre, but that's a wrap.
D
Yeah, if you smile more, they'll be better.
A
Hey, photog, do you think we got some good ones?
C
And then you naturally have to go look at some of the good ones. Yeah, that delays.
D
Little screens.
A
Little screen. It's like you can hardly see it.
B
Yeah, great.
A
You have to go like this to look at them. Oh, those are awesome. No, look at that lighting. Oh, those are so good. Hey, guys, I think she got some good ones.
B
The last family photos we took, my sis, my little sister has a photography business. She took them for us. And since it's family, she brought her dog. It took three times as long because her goddamn dog kept getting in every picture.
A
So that's nightmares. Usually his skin is crawling right now.
B
You can't get mad at a fucking photographer for some shenanigans. Like, if it wasn't my sister, I wouldn't have said anything. But it's just like this just took three times as long. I can get mad at you because I've been getting mad at you for 30 years.
A
I just. I don't know, for whatever reason, it just irritates me when people bring dogs to things and it makes the experience worse because the dog is there. The dog is there and it's well behaved and what? Like, great, that's fun. But as soon as a dog starts misbehaving, I'm like, why did we bring dog? And if your dog's misbehaving one time, your dog's misbehaving all the time. So you knew.
B
Yeah.
C
Oh, yeah. This is not a one time.
A
He never does this at home. Oh, my God.
B
Yes, he does.
A
Yeah, he does. We know he does because he just did it.
C
Yeah.
A
And dogs don't just learn new bad behaviors in the snap of a finger.
D
Stop pumping my leg.
A
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, my God.
C
Pissing on my shoes.
A
So weird. You know? It's so weird. Never acts like this, right? Bullshit. I know. He's acts like this all the time from the garage.
C
I feel like the. The move for the most efficient photography session is to hire somebody you, you have never met in your life. That way you can't have personal conversation with them. You can't.
A
I mean, like, see, I don't know.
C
In and out.
A
I don't know.
C
Because what's the opposite? What's.
A
Because someone you hire that you never met. They want your business again, so they think small talk is the way to your heart.
C
That's a good point.
A
And this is a ps.
C
Good point.
A
This is a psa. To all the photographers out. Making small talk does not make us want to hire you again. Saying no words other than the instructions of what to do in the photos will make us hire you again. We don't care if we pay for an hour. If it takes 20 minutes, we get the same amount of photos. That's what we're looking for. We'll hire you again.
D
Yeah, make it snappy.
A
Make it snappy. I don't care. Even if you just hold down the button the whole time, if that means screenshots, if that means we can get out of there 10 minutes earlier, we're there for it.
C
I will say, though, that the ones that we worked with anyways, they're. They're good at, like, kind of like catching. Like, if your kid's trying to run and climb a tree, they'll take pictures.
B
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
C
You know, so, like, like catching chaotic moments and making them.
B
I do think. I've. I'm sure I didn't come up with this trick, but I've got. I can get my. I can get my kids to smile. Nice. Every picture. Now I just say a word that they know they're not supposed to say or hear. So be like, all right, boys say wieners. And then they geek the out and we get. We get genuine smiles every time.
D
That is funny.
C
Yeah, I'll let my. I'll say. Say I'll. We'll tell them you can say one naughty word.
B
Yeah, go poopy. And then you just giggle it.
A
I'll put that in my arsenal.
B
Yep.
A
Luckily, I didn't have to do that this time around. My kid was pretty well behaved.
C
Did you just take family photos?
D
Yeah.
A
That's what this whole conversation's about.
C
I, I.
B
You didn't say that. You just took them.
A
I said this happened to me last weekend. Did I not?
B
I don't know.
A
Well, then I said it in your head. Then I said it in my head.
B
Okay.
C
Okay.
B
I can't wait to see them, so I'm excited.
D
You take any good ones?
A
I think we got some good ones.
B
Hell, yeah.
A
Oh, yeah. This literally happened to me this weekend,
B
so makes sense now.
A
We told my kid to say cheese and smile, which he started doing, but then he did it the whole time. Like, like, for like a minute straight, he's just go cheese. But then he, like, was, like, holding his Smile for too long to where his face, like, started, like, you know, going, yes. So it actually backfired on us.
C
Yeah, yeah.
A
You know, like, our ancestors had a easy.
D
Yeah, they did.
B
No luxuries. They just are talking about the. How they.
A
They had the luxury of shitty camera equipment where they would go to a studio, they would sit there. They weren't even asked to smile. They just were told, sit there and don't say anything. And then they just do. One bulb explodes and they're done.
B
Do you want to know? This isn't the fun fact for the end of the podcast, but it is a fun fact. The reason that people are frowning in most of those early pictures is because to take one photo, it took like, like 30 to 45 seconds. So they didn't want to hold a smile.
A
Long exposure, essentially. Yeah.
B
So that's why they're all frowning in those pictures.
A
30 to 45 seconds sounds a lot better than 30 to 40 minutes, tell you that much. Tyler.
B
I agree.
D
Smoke flies.
A
All right, you guys are done.
B
The guy takes his blanket off.
A
I said I got it. Do you think we got a good one? Yep. You guys were all look like. You guys all look depressed. It's a great photo.
D
A little scary, too.
B
It'll be ready after sitting in a tub for four to five business days.
A
And also your great, great grandchildren will wonder why you're so pissed. It'll be perfect. People someday will go, why doesn't anyone smile? It's gonna be great.
D
Great icebreaker.
A
Great icebreaker. All right, get back to doing manual labor. They had it easy back then.
D
So easy.
A
You know, they didn't even have to worry about color coordinating either back then.
D
Yeah.
B
Black and white, baby.
C
It's a good point.
A
Didn't even have to worry about if your sage green shirt clashes with your evergreen.
D
Well, they probably only had one shirt, too, so.
A
Correct. Yeah, picking out an outfit was easy. They had one good shirt.
B
It was the shirt.
A
The wife walks in and says, honey, put on the shirt. We're going to go take the photo.
C
And he knew at that moment, he
B
knew it's going to cost 85 cents if that. How will we ever financially recover from this?
A
It's too much.
C
What are those pictures you could take in, like, the Black Hills with the old timey photos? Yeah, we should. Us four should take one of those.
B
I think we've talked about.
A
That would be hilarious.
B
I'm pretty sure we've talked about.
A
Should we take an old timey photo next time we're in the Black Hills?
B
Sure.
A
Did you do one while you were in Custer?
C
No, we went in and checked what the wait time was. And two hours back then, you guys
A
would have been in. In two minutes.
C
I know. Because there wasn't even.
A
Because it just would have been like. All right, everyone frown. All right, thank you.
C
Yeah. The people in front of us, they must have just gotten it done. And the guy said you can come back in about two hours when the photos are finished up. Does it. Do they take that long? Usually it's like.
D
If it's like wet play photography, then
C
yeah, it's my favorite wet playing plate.
B
I thought you said wet play. It's my favorite kind of.
C
I thought I heard something odd behind that screen. Yeah.
A
What?
D
What?
A
So, yeah, that's how you know it's gonna be a tough weekend. You got family, family photos. You got a draft for us.
D
Best inventions.
A
Okay. And you just. You came up with this on the break, by the way.
B
I dig it.
A
After us talking about the hubby and Jared's dick being blown off by how good of an idea it is. He said, why don't. He says the hobby is such a great invention. Let's do an invention draft.
D
Yeah. This is my post, not clarity.
A
So.
C
Okay.
A
And so the rules of this draft are. Any invention ever.
D
Yeah. I feel like this is more like. Less cheating, I guess. Less loopholes.
B
Yeah. Less obscure.
D
Yeah. Because the last one kind of went off the rails with the doomsday bunker.
A
Okay. So the rules are. Is limit the bundling to some real realistic stuff.
D
Yeah.
A
And let's not. No, no, you know, million, million robot, sentient army. Yes, got it. I can play by those rules.
D
A little more concrete. I'm not
C
taking concrete.
A
You picking concrete?
D
No, I'm not picking concrete.
A
It's a great venture.
B
There's a lot of made out of concrete.
A
All right, who gets to go first?
D
So, Miles, you won the last one, so you get to go first.
A
I won?
D
Yeah. We have people on the Spotify poll. You won.
A
Let's go.
C
What was.
B
Yeah.
C
Do we know?
D
Miles won with six votes. I took second with like five votes. I think only, like 16 people voted.
C
I think I had a dog draft the last one. I don't remember what it was, but
D
it was dog drafted NATO at one point.
C
Oh, that's when I got pissed at Tyler.
A
You grabbed a NATO with no way to feed him.
D
Forget what you had. Can't remember.
C
Well, because Tyler took agriculture.
B
I did. I did take it.
A
And I took fake agriculture.
B
God. Yeah.
A
Lab grown.
C
Yeah. We've moved on from that.
A
So we won't. We won't go off the rails. Yeah, we'll stay on rail. On rail, which is rails. Railroad invention. All right, so I'm up first, then. All right, first pick in the best inventions draft, I'm going to pick sliced bread.
B
Whoa.
D
Okay.
B
Okay.
A
Because the rest of your guys, this is all gonna be the best invention since that one.
B
Okay. Okay.
A
So, I mean, that's like. That's like picking, you know, Cam Newton, number one overall. Just clearly far away, the best.
D
Andrew Luck.
A
Andrew luck.
C
You know, LeBron James.
A
It's like drafting LeBron James.
D
Yeah.
A
I pick sliced bread, and doubly, because I love sliced bread.
D
It's a passion pick.
A
It's a passion pick, but also juggernaut. You know, it's like, if I was the Cavaliers, I loved LeBron James, and also it makes sense to pick him because he's the best overall.
D
You are the cows.
A
And he's from Ohio, and he's from. It's just. It's a great pick. Like, just think about, like, our ancestors had it so tough, so they had to slice their bread.
B
Well, they had time with. All the time they were saving. After photos.
C
That is true. Like, at least two hours.
A
They. Yeah, they're like, all right, we got that photo done quick. I'm. Now I have time to go home and slice that bread. All right, that's my first pick. Who's got the next pick?
D
Ryan does. Yep.
C
All right.
A
Yep.
C
We're ready for my first of the best invention. My first pick. Best inventions draft. I'm gonna go with airplanes.
D
Good pick.
B
Okay. Good pick.
A
I mean, it's a lot of stuff that got invented to make that one, so I just. But I'd say it's a good use of the bundle.
B
I think that counts.
D
Yeah.
A
You know, I mean, what came first?
B
The.
A
The air. The. The air or the plane? Because you can't have an airplane without air.
B
Nobody. Nobody invented.
A
Which God invented.
B
Good. Am I good? Me?
D
Yep. Yep.
B
My. My first pick is going to be the wheel.
A
I was looking. I was hoping it would slip to me, but, yeah, there was no chance.
B
I was surprised it didn't go first overall, to be honest.
A
Again, we just discussed why mine went.
B
I know, but when people. Before sliced bread, people were like, this is the best invention since the wheel.
A
Right. But you don't need a wheel to survive. You need sliced bread.
D
You can't eat a wheel.
A
You can't eat a wheel.
B
You can eat of cheese.
C
Yeah, you can eat a wheel of cheese. You probably Churn butter with the wheel or something. I don't know.
B
It did allow us to move quite far the wheel and move heavy objects.
A
But also being able to do agriculture and make bread allowed us extra time to make the wheel.
B
Without the wheel, though, it wouldn't have. Agriculture would have been harder.
A
Yeah, but agriculture came before the wheel, so.
C
But elite culture came after the wheel.
B
Big. Yeah, big scale.
A
Because we were doing agriculture with horses, not wheels.
B
Well, the things the horses pulled and the ox.
A
The oxen were doing the work. Huh?
C
The things that the horses and oxen were pulling had wheels.
B
Not a plow plaza wheels on the sides and then they'd hold the plow on the bottom. There's some original plows without wheels, though.
A
But the first agriculture had no wheels involved. I'm sure of it.
D
My pick. My pick will be the Internet again.
A
Huge collection of inventions.
B
That's good.
D
Yep. And then my next one will be football.
A
That's. You're starting out hot. You're starting out very hot.
B
That was good.
A
But some would say that the Internet was the downfall of society. So I want you to think about that.
D
Well, point people wouldn't be listening to us right now if it wasn't for the Internet.
A
That's true. And I might be saying that we might be the downfall of society. This podcast, like letting guys like us buy microphones and be able to broadcast it to the world might be the downfall of our society.
B
What's that movie where the guy gets frozen and he wakes up 200 years later and everybody in the world is just dumb as.
D
Oh, idiocracy.
B
Idiocy.
A
Captain America.
B
That too.
C
Austin Powers.
B
But idiocracy is what I'm thinking of. We're going to cause idiocracy with this one.
A
The one that Chris Pratt is in with Jennifer Lawrence. That movie.
B
The one when they're on the spaceship. Yeah.
D
Guardians of the Galaxy.
A
No, no. Thinking Parks and Rec. Continue.
B
Me.
D
Yep.
B
I'm gonna go. Miles is gonna be pissed that I got this. He's gonna be so air conditioning.
D
Oh, good pick. Good pick.
C
That was a good one. That's very.
A
It's tough going first, man.
B
Yeah.
A
Eat up all your y. I'm really scraping the bottom of the barrel here. And I've been doing too busy thinking about your guys picks. I haven't even thinking about what I've got next.
C
My second pick. I'm gonna go with bruskies.
B
Damn it, Ryan.
D
Good.
B
That was good.
A
What was your first pick again?
C
Airplane.
A
Airplane. I'm getting drunk for Everybody, you're going
D
the Dirks Bentley route. I like it.
A
Ryan's just trying.
C
You would have a career without out.
A
Ryan's trying to make his red eyes better. Red eye flights better.
D
All right.
A
You're going bruskies.
C
Yeah.
A
Frick. I mean, you guys took a lot of the good ones.
B
Yeah, we did not. There's not really many. That many more inventions left.
A
No, there's not. Kind of really me. All right, I will go. I'll go Fire.
B
Fire wasn't invented.
A
It was discovered by God, though. It was invented by God.
B
Then everything's on the table.
D
Table would be a good thing.
A
You're not gonna let me pick fire?
B
I don't think so.
A
Damn it.
C
Fire fast. Yeah.
D
Fire Fest. That would be downfall.
A
I'm trying to get a good draft here.
B
Ryan
D
played mind games.
C
I think that's what they served at Fire Fest. Actually was just sliced bread.
D
Bread. Yeah.
B
Actually in water. Yeah.
D
Yeah.
A
All right, I'll go. I'm gonna go butter for my second one.
D
Use butter for a lot of things.
B
His next one.
A
Butter makes every thing better.
B
This one is gonna be garlic powder, and then it's gonna be a toaster. He's just making garlic bread.
A
Yeah. Yeah. My. For my third pick, I'll go in oven.
B
Okay.
A
Yes. Because I got back to back, Right? So I got butter, bread, sliced bread, and an oven. I like it because I can cook more types of bread in an oven than I can a toaster.
B
Okay.
A
So, you know, and doesn't. Sliced bread doesn't have to be, you know, can be the long way too.
C
Oh, okay. All right.
A
Submarine sandwich.
C
So you got bread, butter, and a toaster or oven? Oven. All right, I'm going pizza.
B
Oh, okay. We're on food right now. Yeah.
A
Yeah. I mean, it's just like my pick, but worse because you added marinara sauce to it.
C
Mine's not sliced.
B
You just gotta stop eating pizza and just buy, like, the make at home pizza crusts and only eat that.
A
I agree. I agree.
B
Just buy pizza dough.
A
I'm not saying that. And then just have, like, a charcuterie board with only pepperonis on the side and I'll be set.
C
Yeah, you just need to start buying pizza lunchables.
A
I just need to be eating lunchables and then just throw the marinara packet out.
C
Yeah.
A
And put butter on it.
C
Yeah.
B
For my third pick, I am drafting Bluetooth.
D
Oh, yeah.
A
I guess I don't have. I don't. I don't have Blue Chew or Bluetooth.
B
Bluetooth.
D
Tooth.
B
Tooth.
C
Okay.
B
Bluetooth, the wireless, this technology.
C
Okay.
A
I guess we don't have CarPlay without Bluetooth, so that's a pretty good pick. I love CarPlay.
C
He took something CarPlay related and AC related.
D
I know.
A
It's almost like in order for Tyler to have a good draft, he just had to pick the stuff that I would pick, so.
B
And when I said Bluetooth, all of you were like, oh, yeah. None of you had thought of it?
C
No. You're having a good draft.
D
Yeah. Good draft.
A
Because he's just picking all the stuff that I love.
B
That's how a draft works. You pick some stuff. Well, you didn't pick anything. I was going to pick, but Ryan did. I had beer on my list, on my draft board.
D
I'm going to go video games and television.
C
God, Jared, that's good.
A
So what's your four.
B
Jared had a good track.
D
Television.
A
What's your.
C
What's your four draft picks?
A
Oh, your whole draft is done.
D
Oh, God.
C
Yeah.
D
I can't remember now. Internet, television, video games. What was my other pick?
A
Internet, television, video games. Oh, God damn it. Football. Football.
D
Football. Yeah.
A
Yeah, it's great. Yeah, because if you hadn't drafted football, you wouldn't even be able to play NCAA 27 under video games, but now you can, man.
D
It's a pick you would have made.
A
That is. That's. That's a. Again, you had a great draft because it was just a lot of stuff that I would have picked. And now you guys are starting to get it. Start thinking like me. You're gonna have good drafts.
B
I'm gonna go guns.
A
Oh, God damn it.
C
If I go bullets, though, you can't. Without me, there is no you.
D
Oh, yeah. Do gunpowder.
B
Without me, there's no need for you.
C
That's true. God damn it. I. Well, really think past that one. I think naturally I have to go with refrigeration. Yeah, Fridges are good to keep brusques cold.
A
No, that's true.
D
That's good.
B
Can't have warm beers on your plane.
C
No. God.
D
And leftover pizza.
C
Warm beers suck.
A
And leftover pizza.
C
Yeah. I'll take refrigeration.
A
I like it. That is huge. Yeah. What are brewskis without a fridge?
C
Exactly. Yeah. How are you gonna crush brewski's? No fridge.
A
That's so true. You know that's so true.
C
And then, like, just extra cold refrigeration, I. E. A freezer to keep the pizzas. To keep pizzas.
B
I think that's a. A fine bundle because fridges have freezers on them. A lot.
A
That's fine.
B
Yeah, yeah.
D
Not that one.
A
All right. So this is last pick of draft.
C
Yep.
A
All right. I go with yoga shorts.
B
That's a good one.
D
Okay.
B
That's a good one.
A
Yoga shorts. Yeah, the yoga pants just. We're not seeing enough leg. My wife shorts. I'm like, let's go, let's go stretch out. Yoga shorts. Plus pairs. Well with the butter. I like to butter those buns. What can I say?
B
What was your. I don't remember what your third one was. You went bread, butter.
A
Sliced bread. Not just bread. Sliced bread. Butter. Oven. I like putting the buns in the oven. And yoga shorts. Pretty good draft.
D
Strong.
A
Pretty good draft.
B
Brian, what'd you have?
C
I had planes, brewskis, pizza and fridge, freezer, compost ball.
B
Okay.
D
Low key. Good draft.
B
I had the wheel, air conditioning, Bluetooth, Bluetooth and guns.
A
That's. That's a good one. I think Bluetooth is your weakest one though.
B
Bluetooth is sick though.
A
It is sick.
B
You don't realize how much you like Bluetooth until it's not an option.
A
But I would say that WI fi is better than Bluetooth. Of an invention wise. And no one took WI fi.
B
He took the Internet. So I felt it would be.
A
You can't get the Internet without the WI fi. I guess you could easily Ethernet.
D
Yeah.
B
I just felt like I can't. I couldn't take a sub version of his thing. WI fi wasn't sub.
A
Sub version of his thing. By taking Bluetooth.
B
Yeah. Cuz Bluetooth runs on its own thing. It's. You can have Bluetooth without being connected to the Internet.
A
Okay.
D
And then mine was Internet, football, tv, video games.
A
God, that's pretty good draft dude.
D
Strong.
A
We all kind of had a theme, you know, but we like.
C
Yeah.
A
Top to bottom. Mine started at the top, ended at the bottom.
C
Jared had the. Jared had the sweatiest draft.
B
Yep.
A
Sweat. Okay. Let's give supportive sweatiest.
C
Yeah. Internet. Most video games, football and tv.
A
Tyler's is most tactical.
D
Rides his college dorm room.
A
Yeah.
B
Except airplanes.
A
Dirk's Bentley package.
B
Yeah.
D
Dirtley.
A
Dirk's Bentley Starter project.
B
Most likely to hang out with Dirks.
A
The Dirk of dirt package.
C
Doesn't drink warm beer. Tell you that.
A
And then what would my package be?
C
The Amish package.
A
Yoga shorts would blow the Amish away. Holy.
B
What are those?
A
What are those?
C
Like what's it.
A
We've been doing buns long the whole time.
C
Well, I think the Amish population would doubt cranking up quadruple. Yeah.
D
Quintuple.
C
Yamish made just take over civilization.
D
Just a pair of yoga shorts.
C
Yeah, yeah.
D
Strong drafts.
A
All right. Is that it?
D
Jared, any fun facts?
A
Tyler's got a fun fact.
B
I got one. The origins of bowling can be traced back to roughly 3200 BC in ancient Egypt, making it one of the oldest sports in the world.
A
Wow. So. So Jesus could have been bowling.
B
He could have been bowling.
A
Do you think he bowled an 8 pounder or a 15 pounder?
B
I don't know. I think the. So they found pins and a ball inside a child's grave in Egypt. So it was a children's game, but they found like the actual like bowling pin shaped ass pins.
A
That's kind of cool, huh? So, like, who knows? The Big Labowsi could have been a remake. That could have. They could have. It could have been a play way back then.
D
And there's a character named Jesus in it.
B
There is.
C
Yes, that's right.
A
Is the Big Lebowski kind of biblical or.
C
No.
B
The Book of Lebowski.
A
The Book of Lebowski.
B
Yeah.
D
Yeah. He looks. He's got like Jesus's hair. Wore a robe.
B
He did wear a robe.
D
There could be some symbolism there.
C
Nice rug.
B
Yeah,
D
that's about it.
A
That's about it.
D
Yeah.
A
That's basically the synopsis of the entire movie in there. Yeah, you got it. Is that it, Jared? Guys, thanks for tuning in to another episode of you Bet you Radio. Have a great week. We'll see you in the next one.
D
You betcha.
B
Yeah.
A
Yeah. Bring it in.
B
We're done.
A
I actually thought that was on there.
D
I forgot Bryson, the Budweiser guy. So I'm in a situation. I just acquired PTO.120 hours to be exact. We have no vacation planned this year. So now how long. So now how long should I take? I want to take a Friday, Monday off to have a four day weekend. But I also want to take a week off, but I want to save time in case I get sick. But I also don't want to burn all of my PTO before next July. So what do I do? Boys, what's your thoughts?
A
Okay, so 120 hours. You divide that by 40. So that's three weeks of PTO.
D
Yep.
A
Correct.
D
Yep.
A
All right. No, no, no. Yeah. Three 40 hour work weeks.
D
Yeah. Yeah. 15 work days.
B
Yeah.
A
Well, Jared, so you were notorious this last winter or last fall. You did like a bunch of random days that weirdly all aligned with the
B
sports schedule that was this spring.
A
So you start there. I'm. I've. I'm the Wrong person to ask about this. So start with that. Jared.
D
Yeah, I'd say if you're an NFL fan, definitely take Mondays off.
B
Yeah.
D
If you're a big college football fan, take Fridays off.
B
If you're a big March Madness fan, take a Thursday, take a Thursday off. Yeah, yeah.
A
I would start with the sport. As a guy, I'd start with the sports schedule, right. You know, if you're like, hey, I'm gonna go to a game, take that Monday off, right? Yeah, you know, Monday, Friday, Monday off. Then you're like, all right, I'm gonna go catch an NFL game, I got the day off to recuperate afterwards all that. So I'd start with sports schedules. March Madness first Thursday, Friday, take those off.
D
Right.
A
You know, start with sports another. Then only after your sports schedule is figured out. If there any days left, then you ask your wife, hey, do you want to go on any trips?
B
15 sporting events he uses every day to go to sports. I think if, if you're looking to hoard days, find all the government holidays and then do Friday, Tuesdays. So like Labor Day Monday you get off.
D
Yeah, I was going to say that.
B
Then you. Only you're taking the same amount of days off, but you're getting a five
A
day weekend just squeaking out another day.
B
Yeah. So Memorial Day, Labor Day, you're going Friday, Tuesdays off.
A
I do think you should plan one week long vacation. I think that's always good. You could start it on like, like Friday after work, go somewhere. Then you got Saturday, Sunday, the whole week and the next weekend off. So you can almost get like nine or ten days out of the whole deal.
D
Or do it like in January, the first week where everybody comes back to work, you take that week off. Off.
B
Yeah.
D
Your Christmas break is extra long.
A
Honestly.
C
Yeah.
A
The weeks between New Year's and Christmas, you work, don't take it off. Then take the week off after New Year's when everyone's getting back into it. Cuz no one's doing anything those two weeks anyways. So basically you got three weeks of doing nothing. Could be a move.
D
It's like the last day of school vibe when you're working that there's no stuff on the walls, nobody's around, the teachers are wearing jeans, you bet you're
B
posting best of videos.
A
You should also plan a few days of around GTA 6 dropped. Yeah, yeah, that's something that people aren't thinking about right now.
B
Well, he, he has the days off this year, not in 2030.
A
Should we. When does it Come out.
B
The dates change three times.
D
November something. Let me look quick.
A
Should we decide as a company that we're taking like, like at least Wednesday, Thursday off of that week?
B
I don't have anything to play it on.
D
November 19th is the day. Let me look daily.
A
It could be your Christmas bonus. Tyler, feel good.
C
Okay.
B
I sold my PS5.
D
November 19th is on a Thursday.
A
Yeah. So we take Thursday off. We take Thursday off for sure.
D
Yeah.
A
Maybe possibly that Monday.
B
I'm pretty sure I'm off the Monday Tuesday day. I'm going to the Monday night game for sports.
A
There you go.
B
Sports.
D
They could bring your PS5 to you with you.
B
Yeah.
A
Honestly, it's just starting to point out point to like just start with sports and video games first and then after that you can whatever you got left.
C
Yeah.
A
Are you going to play it Jared, when it comes out?
D
Oh yeah.
A
Okay.
B
What's it cost now? Didn't they say they were going to charge like 150 bucks for it or something?
D
Something like that. That's like for the ultimate editions got. So you get like a car, a different gun that you can only get.
B
Don't they know that? Up, down, left, right. Up, down, left, right. R1, R2, L1, L2 is unlimited ammo and a full stock of guns.
D
Rockstar doesn't know this simple trick. Yeah. You haven't played GTA in 20 years. You try that, you're like, what the.
B
It just unlocks like you're an idiot. That doesn't work anymore.
A
You just immediately get wasted.
B
Yep.
A
Nice try, idiot. You got to do microtransactions for that.
B
Yeah.
A
It's probably been since before my child was born since I've played video games.
D
It was Red dad pro.
A
Yeah.
D
College football.
B
When do we both. We were both ripping Hogwarts Legacy.
D
Oh yeah.
A
That was the last time. That was the winter before. So it's probably been two and a half years since I've played video games.
B
Very fun game for all the. The nerds out there.
D
There.
A
I. Yeah, I really liked it.
B
It's great.
A
So I'm, I'm due and I have warned Dan. I warned. I warned Dan a year ago that when it comes out that I would be basically I'd be at home, but I will not be available. And I reminded her of that this summer. So I am like, I got a good setup going on here. I just now got to get a PS5.
D
Yeah. I was going to say, did you play GTA 5?
A
No.
D
No. Wow.
A
I think probably the last GTA I played was like San Andreas.
D
Oh, damn. Yeah, a lot has changed.
B
I. Yeah, that's the last one I owned. I played five, but I never owned five.
A
And then we also had the knockoff GTA that was called, like, True Crime New York City.
B
Oh, we. We al. We had the knockoff, too. It's like Saints Row or something.
A
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I never even had Saints Row. I had this like.
D
Like.
A
Because my uncle used to work for Microsoft, and so any Microsoft Xbox game that Microsoft made themselves, he could get for 10 bucks.
D
That's sick.
A
So for every birthday, me and my brothers would all get a $10 Microsoft.
B
Let's go.
A
So, like, we. So that one year, my brother got true crime for 10 bucks. It was like, basically Microsoft version of GTA. Of GTA, something like that. And I don't know.
D
And there's some story like you were playing that game and you shot somebody. Your dad got pissed or something?
A
Well, yeah. So my dad comes down and, like, the. The characters in the game, like, one of them's like, move the. Out of my way, you. Yeah, my dad's like, what did they say? Sounds pretty funny. Then it was just kind of like, your mom better not find out you're. You're playing this game. Guys, if you want more, you bet your radio. You gotta check out our patre. Host: Myles (“You Betcha Guy”), with Ryan, Tyler, and Jerrod
This episode of You Betcha Radio unleashes classic Midwest humor and camaraderie as the gang dives into what they dub a “Muskie Tank” session—a Midwest take on Shark Tank—to pitch a tongue-in-cheek “billion dollar business idea.” After a raucous group brainstorm on a “stroller for husbands,” the crew launches into their highly anticipated draft: the Best Inventions of All Time. The second half of the episode brings stories of golf trips, “signs your weekend is about to suck,” Midwest family photo struggles, and PTO advice, all infused with nostalgia, roast sessions, and signature regional banter.

On Product Development:
“We're still in the concept phase...the idea is so good that the price point at this stage won’t matter.” (09:55, Myles)
On Giftability:
“Now he needs the Hubby cooler. Now he needs the matching Hubby thermos…Family knows exactly what to buy you.” (24:42, Myles)
On Family Photo Dread:
“The bar is set so low, it’s just...don’t act shitty about family photos is all our wives are asking.” (62:24, Myles)
On Hitting Alpha Status:
“What is more alpha than making a female push you around? Kings never walked anywhere. Get in your Hubby.” (16:10, Myles)
On Midwest Weather:
“If you plan to protect your items from hail damage, it will not hail.” (58:44, Tyler)
On The Draft:
“You guys are starting to get it. Start thinking like me, you’re going to have good drafts.” (84:05, Myles)
Episode 387 is classic “You Betcha”—heavy on Midwest inside jokes, good-natured riffing, and playful dad-life relatability. The “Hubby” product pitch sparks creative and ridiculous ideas about marriage, manhood, and laziness. The Inventions Draft is both a real debate and a vehicle for sharp banter, capped with priceless quips about bread, yoga shorts, and the Amish. Meanwhile, the group’s side conversations about golfing, weather disasters, and PTO woes are instantly recognizable for their “everyman” appeal.
If you haven’t listened: Picture a few affable Midwest dads, ice-cold beer in hand, riffing about the things they wish existed, razzing each other about masculinity, and drafting the ultimate modern conveniences—all while making you laugh about your own family photo nightmares or PTO planning failures.
