Roy Wood Jr. (1:28)
Thank you, man.
Pete Holmes (1:29)
It's dope. It really is dope. I get so excited when I see somebody doing like a, like a craftsman like that does stand up comedy brilliantly. So it's really, really special.
Roy Wood Jr. (1:42)
Yeah. Thank you, bro.
Pete Holmes (1:43)
No, I will go on and on about that. Let me tell you. Let me give you this premise that I can't make work. It goes back to Cool Edit Pro. In the 90s and early 2000s, you could just be cool. Like you could have sunglasses on and a jacket and lean on a Ferrari.
Roy Wood Jr. (2:01)
And that was counterculture. Yeah, that was it.
Pete Holmes (2:05)
And now you look stupid. If you're being cool in that way. If you're trying to be cool, how dare you. You look dumb, but you do. Like now it's like less effort is cool. You should look like you're not trying. But in. Remember Richard Gere? Richard Gere was just trying to be cool and it was working.
Roy Wood Jr. (2:25)
Yeah, in the 90s that worked. It was like a dad's idea of what cool was in the 70s. Was Richard Gere in the 90s that we were like, charisma approved, World's sexiest man.
