A capital in the central heart of Europe has long the scene of major historical events and shifts in the era. From many European empires and a people group of their own, this nation was formed. Now, this nation stands as a well visited and growing heart of a nation. This is Prague.

On the banks of the Vistula river of Lesser Poland lies a city that was once its heart. This city spent most of its history as the true capital of Poland through many eras. Here some of the first Polish ancestors settled, placing roots that would last millennia. This is Kraków.

Lying on the Baltic Sea is a city where Polish and German history meet. For centuries this city was at the heart of trade in the region and was a coveted prize for all who wanted to control the area. Today this city is known for the stories it holds, cultures it has and resilience it has displayed. From the arrival of the first people to path altering conflicts, this city has seen it all. This is Gdansk.

Deep in the slavic east lies a city that has been the heart of a strong willed people. With origins rooted in legend and true lore as the backdrop for all that followed, this city has seen everything a capital city possibly could. Here the arts of music, and culinary have blossomed no matter how much the politics surrounding it harrowed. To me this city is bold, deep rooted and bleeds out the pride of the people who built it. To describe this city in a few sentences would not remotely cover what It truly is; so I will simply say: this is the capital of Poland. This is Warsaw.

Built off the muddy banks of the Spree River is a city that has had a less then smooth flow through history. From its origins as small settlement incorporated into the rule of greater kingdoms to being the beating capital of one of the strongest nations in Europe. There is so much history, culture, art and more made in this city than I can type into one box. This is the capital of Germany, this is Berlin.

One of the view cities dubbed "Venice of the North" this historical amphibious city has a long history to match its beautiful waterways. This city has acted as the heart of one of the most influential pieces of nordic history. From major conflicts to cultivating the arts this city has done it all. This is Stockholm.

The entrance to Scandinavia is lined with a history that brings you face to face with every era of Europe's story. Vikings, germanic knights, empires and attackers have all shaped the story of this nordic city. Truly one of the most fun cities I have ever visited and now you get to see why. This is Copenhagen.

The gateway to German nautical history, is more than just a city of shipping containers and cruises. The history of this city stretches into every era of Germany's development and still stands at an important place to this day. From global foods, and architectural monoliths to countless beer bars there is much to offer. This is Gateway to the World", this is Hamburg.

The modern heart of the EU also serves as the financial , political and diplomatic capital of Europe. This city has had a long and noted history that has found its way into all of Europe's grand and grim affairs. It has seen the lowest of lows after war, invasion and other things much worse; it has also seen new highs of integration and leadership. Walk through the history of Belgium's center stage city in this episode. This is Brussels.

The Dutch capital, the city below the sea, the Amstel's gem, and more can all be used to describe this lowlands city. This historical and recognizable city has a culture that is known far beyond its limited borders. Food, music, art, science and history have all had their eras in the Netherlands' heart.
