Now this business is so tough as it is. I want you to remember these seven things today. All right? This is what is titled seven rules of Life. Seven things to remember today. Either one, I need you to do a much, much better job taking care of yourself because I see a lot of you having way too many ups and downs emotionally, alright, financially, yeah, I see that. But emotionally, this is a tough business. So let's get into this. I'm Tristan. This is your daily real estate. Every day we do this podcast show, five to 10 minutes so that you can get ahead, you can start actually getting business in this world of real estate. Sometimes it's mindset, sometimes it's actionable. Things today, mindset, seven rules of life. Here we go. Number one, I wrote these down, These are mine. But it's not like it's, it's not known. It's common sense. Everyone, number one, let it go. Never ruin a good day by thinking about a bad day yesterday. I understand that bad stuff happens and you're gonna feel it. It's normal. I feel it too some days. And after you've gone through that, after you felt it, you've gotten sad. I don't want you to hang on to it for it. If you, if you're able to, don't hang on to the whole day. Don't hang on to it for, for the next day. Especially because what happens is that prevents you from actually doing business with people because they can feel your energy. And plus internally, it's really hard emotionally holding on to something that went bad, Somebody that yelled at you, you lost a client to another agent, you had somebody maybe say something mean to you. And if you hang on to it and you're like, I should have said this or I should have done that, listen, move on, learn from it, Go to the next right. It's. What is that Mel Robbins book? Let them, same concept. Number two, ignore them, Ignore them. Don't listen to, to other people. Live a life that's empowering to you. A lot of the times we look and say, man, I wish I could go out and be like that person. Man, I wish I could just show up on social media more. But what would people say? Or, man, I wish I could try that, but what if somebody says something? You're going to live your life holding back because you just didn't have the guts to do it. And the number one regret for most people when they get older is actually taking a risk and doing something. Man, I wish I would have done that. Man, I wish I would have actually started that business. But I wonder what would have happened if I actually did that. I don't want you to live that. I don't want you to live that in the future. Write it down. What is it that you actually want to do? And ignore them, because they're always going to be there. They're always going to be talking bad. Number three, give it time. Time heals a lot of things. And I think we forget that when we start something. We also expect things to happen quickly. So it's not about give it time to forget, but it's give it time to grow, give it time to actually make it happen. Because when it comes down to it, you have to give it time. You have to put a lot of effort into it. You have to be consistent. Don't forget that. Give it time. Number four, don't compare. I have here the only person you should try to beat is the person you were yesterday. The problem is right in front of us, we see everyone doing amazing stuff. And usually most people put up their great things online. They don't put up their challenges. So it's going to be easy to compare. I have a problem with this one. So what I've done over the last few years is I write down, like, what have I improved on? What have I done better on? Where do I want to go? Because I want to only challenge myself. I want to challenge myself to beat myself of the past. That's how I want you to look at this. Number five. Stay calm. Stay calm. I've lost my cool a few times. Not a lot, but a few times. And it's okay not to have everything figured out. That's part of it, right? But when you let things dictate how your emotions go up or down because you have no control over how you respond, I mean, what does that do to you? What does that do to your life? What does that do to your business? I want you to take a look at the situation that you're in. In life, in business, politically, I don't care. And realize that you only have control of how you respond to that. And you've got to do a better job looking at things and saying, got it. I know that. That's that this is how I'm going to respond because I choose growth. Number six, it's on you. It's on you. Extreme ownership. Jocko. Ultimately, it comes down to you. Your life is up to you. You need to do a much better job dictating to yourself how you're going to show up when you're going to show up and realizing that all of this, this whole responsibility is up to you. You've got to take full responsibility for your life. You can't blame other things. Yes, in some cases, you may be going through some things, but everyone goes through something at different parts of their life. And it's up to you to decide how you're going to move on, how you're going to move forward, how you're going to take this on and say, I know what I can learn from this. I can do better. I choose growth. And number seven, smile often. Don't just smile, but smile often. Life's too short. Enjoy it. Give yourself some time to rest. Give yourself some time to enjoy those things that you know you love to do. Is it hiking? Is it pickleball? Is it Fortnite? Is it journaling? Is it Disneyland? Is it watching Netflix? Give yourself more time to relax so that you can show up smiling more often. Because sometimes most of the time, we take ourselves too seriously anyway. Hopefully you enjoyed this one. Take it to heart, please, because we need to show it better for ourselves out there. Have an awesome day.

In this brief but powerful episode, host Tristan Ahumada shares his personal list of "7 Rules of Life"—guidelines he believes every real estate agent (and frankly, anyone) should keep in mind to navigate the emotional and professional ups and downs of the industry. Centered around mindset, growth, and self-responsibility, Tristan delivers practical wisdom to help agents stay resilient, focused, and fulfilled in competitive and challenging times.
“If you hang on to it and you're like, I should have said this or I should have done that, listen, move on, learn from it, go to the next.”
— Tristan Ahumada [01:40]
Main Point: Live your own life, not one dictated by others' opinions or judgments.
Fear of what people might say holds many agents back from taking risks or showing up authentically.
“The number one regret for most people when they get older is actually taking a risk and doing something. ... I don't want you to live that.”
— Tristan Ahumada [02:57]
Actionable Reminder: Write down what you want to do and ignore the naysayers—they’ll always be there.
“I want to only challenge myself. I want to challenge myself to beat myself of the past.”
— Tristan Ahumada [04:18]
Main Point: Emotional control is power—especially in unpredictable situations.
Accept that you won’t always have everything figured out and that true growth comes from how you choose to respond, not react.
“You only have control of how you respond to that. And you've got to do a better job looking at things and saying, got it. ... this is how I'm going to respond because I choose growth.”
— Tristan Ahumada [05:15]
Main Point: Take full responsibility for your actions and direction (inspired by Jocko Willink’s “Extreme Ownership” philosophy).
Everyone faces challenges, but movement and growth depend on your response, not external factors.
“Your life is up to you. ... You've got to take full responsibility for your life. You can't blame other things. ... You can do better. I choose growth.”
— Tristan Ahumada [06:03]
Main Point: Don’t just be professional—find joy and take time to recharge.
Smiling more and enjoying life (whatever that means for you: hiking, gaming, Netflix) is vital to well-being and business success.
“Give yourself more time to relax so that you can show up smiling more often. Because sometimes most of the time, we take ourselves too seriously anyway.”
— Tristan Ahumada [07:03]
Tristan’s delivery remains warm, direct, and empathetic, speaking from both personal experience and practical wisdom. The episode radiates encouragement, reminding agents to prioritize mindset as much as business strategy.
“Hopefully you enjoyed this one. Take it to heart, please, because we need to show it better for ourselves out there. Have an awesome day.”
— Tristan Ahumada [07:30]
