The morning routine definitely matters. In fact, my friend Hal Elrod wrote a book on it, and we've had him multiple times on a podcast or webinar or something in Lab Coat Agents. He inspired me to make this part two, in fact, make this morning routine for myself different than his. Right. And I encourage you to do the same thing. Why? Well, in yesterday's part. Part, Part one of this, I went over the evening routine, and I know that routines matter. You already have a routine. You just don't know it. And I would love for you to have one that focuses on things that can make you better. I created my own morning routine about 6, 7, 8, 9. I don't even remember. I made the morning routine first, though over the years, I've modified it, tweaked it, made it a little bit better, and that's what you have today. It's called Marvel. Like Marvel Comics, but not. It's just like. It's more of Prepare to Marvel. Prepare to Marvel, which is the evening and the morning routine. I want you to. To be inspired by it so you can create something of your own or just follow mine. I'm Tristan. This is your daily real estate. It's a podcast. It's a show. If you're listening to this, I'd love for you to share it with somebody that you think can benefit from this. And it's about five to ten minutes every day. We're on year two now, and I'm on year 12 of running Lab Coat Agents. Right. All four real estate agents. I've helped companies, teams, brokerages, brokers, mega agents, regular agents, doesn't matter. And I'm doing it again with this podcast. It's meant to help you grow. And today I want to focus more on the mindset piece, the routine Marvel. Here's what it looks like. M A R V E L. And each one stands for a word, something that you would need to do in the morning. M is easy. It's meditation. That's what I start with, meditation. It could be prayer. It could be both. Just the point of taking time to think about what you're feeling. Breathe in, breathe out. Maybe it's not even thinking. Maybe it's just breathing in and breathing out. Right? Yes. I've read a lot of research on how amazing meditation is. I've read one that comes to mind from Harvard, showed how meditation can heal you from the inside out. There's a lot there. You can choose to pray instead. You could do both. The point is, you've got to take time to Quiet yourself in the morning. And I start with that. Next is A for affirmations. Yes, I have evening ones, and yes, I have morning morning ones. You can call them affirmations. A mantra, incantations, whatever self truths. The point is, I want to be able to talk better to myself. A lot of us have self talk. In fact, all of us do. Sometimes it's more negative, sometimes it's more positive. And I want to make sure that that self talk, when it's automated, shows it better for me. It's not Tristan. That was stupid. It's Tristan. You know, what can you learn from that? What can you do better because you've done better? I want to have better conversations with myself when I'm not doing that well. And these truths help me get there because they repeat how I should be and who I am. R Record. M A R. R is record. Now, I've been doing this one since 2011. I've been doing affirmations since 2006. I remember because I wrote it down. Record is I look back to see how my day was yesterday. Whether I record it on video, whether I record it on audio on my phone, or whether I type it up on my computer or write it down. I use an app called Day One. I've been using it since 2011. That's why I have this as record, right as R. And you can do the same thing. The point is, put something in writing. Reflect back on how it went yesterday, what you did, what you could have done better. Was it amazing? Was it fun? It could be easy. And these are not meant to be long. So next one. V. Visualize. Over the years, I've modified this one. This one probably took me the longest, and I didn't solidify it until this one until 2019 because I did so many different things for this one. At the end of the day, it came down to three things. When I visualize, I think, wait, Tristan, how are you doing? How are you doing with yourself? You know, mentally, emotionally, physically, spiritually? How are you doing? Anything stand out there? And I'm like, no, okay, good. Well, how are you doing with. Because I've got self. How are you doing with family, kids, spouse, parents? How are you doing there? Everything okay there right now? Great. Now, how are you doing with business? What's the thing you should be focused on there? And for me, visualizing is going through those three, identifying one from each and saying, got it. I know what I need to focus on today, or I need what I know I. I know what I need to Prioritize, maybe for the next few days. That to me is V visualization. E Exercise again, very similar to Yesterday comes from Tony Robbins. Motion creates emotion. I say motion enhances. Motion enhances emotion. Get moving, do something. Workout, short little workout. It's not going to replace your full workout, but like I said yesterday, jump up and down, do push ups, get into a better state. And then lastly, L for learn. Whether it's a short podcast, whether you read an excerpt of a book, I like the Daily Stoic. I've been reading that for a while now. Or maybe it's a full on webinar that you're going to listen to. I usually try to make these short though. So for me, when I look at this, I know every morning I'm doing Marvel, every evening I'm doing Prepare. And when I put them together, it really creates. It creates a better me. It helps me to show up better. Do I do it every day? No, I don't. I miss days. Sometimes I only catch the morning, sometimes I only catch the evening, and sometimes I do both, which is amazing. The whole point is I want you to reflect back and take a look and say, am I doing enough to show up better daily? Am I the problem? In fact, you are the problem. I'm the problem, right? So I need to focus on me more. That's the whole purpose of this. When you focus on you more, you show up better for the people you love. You show up better as a real estate agent, you show better for your business. If you want this, I've got this outlined, let me know. Gladly send it over to you on Instagram. And do me a favor, please subscribe to this because this is the type of stuff we talk about every day, whether it's business related, mindset related, and if you want to go deep, further into this, that's where I have coaching. Whether it's one on one with me or one of my team members or the group coaching with. Whatever you need, we got you. Message me. Have an awesome day.
