Posting on social media is still a mystery for some of you. In fact, it's such a mystery that you get lost in the process and you don't end up posting or there's no consistency. And I was interviewing a Berkeley professor who sits on many boards for companies that are AI driven, some social media and just tech in general, because he's out of Berkeley and he wrote a book called Anointing. It's about influencers, it's about other people at a higher level, bringing other people up or how we respond to these people that have some type of power or say in the world that we're in. It's a. It's a very great book. It's well written. The interview is not out yet, but it got me thinking because I asked, I said, well, how does social media play into all of this? Because the most visited websites in the world are Google, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, ChatGPT X and Reddit and TikTok and LinkedIn are the top 20. How does this play into it? It's like, well, it's extremely important, but the algorithm favors the things that other people favor because it's showing it to people. So we've got to think about who's our audience, we've got to think about who we're trying to connect with. And we have to have a formula. And I made a simple formula for you. When I worked with Facebook and Instagram for four years, I created a process for businesses and in essence, I put it into play for me, which you probably see on social media at this point. I am not going through this simple process. I now have it down, so I've internalized it, but it is S T A Y and I'm going to explain it next. I'm Tristan. This is your daily real estate. It's a podcast. It's a show, five to 10 minutes. Been in business for 22 years, running lab coat agents for 12. Just opened up a brokerage nationwide called Y Realty. And I still have a very small team in Los Angeles and Ventura County. In essence, I am helping you for free. I want this industry to continue to grow and elevate. I just ask that you subscribe to this channel, share it with somebody, and if of course, you need group coaching, jump in with us. It's fun, innovative, we're forward thinkers. We show you what's next and how to apply it better. So today, S T A Y simple acronym so you can show up and create better content that connects with the people that you're trying to connect. With it starts with S. See, a lot of the times we show up on social media, we're just trying to sell things. Just listed, just sold. And. And that's how we show up. And the problem is people can't connect with that all the time, especially if that's the only thing you're posting. But when you sell with a story, right, it changes you. Now show up with connecting in the one way that humanity is always connected, through storytelling. And I want you to think about all of the different stories that you have that relate to real estate. Whether it's a client you were showing properties to, didn't close, whether it did close and you helped them, whether an online lead that you got, whether it's an open house experience, whether it's an inspection, whether it's your process becoming a real estate agent. Tell the story because that story will connect with others. Number two is teach. You have so much knowledge and you don't tell people about it. Teach me how should I approach this home that I'm about to buy for the first time and it's a townhome. Explain to me what I should be looking for besides the mortgage, nhoa and property tax taxes, what should I expect for monthly costs? On top of that, utilities and everything else. What about a home inspection? If I'm buying something, what does that look like? How long is it? How do I find a good home inspector? All of these questions that people have, but you have the answers and you're not showing up. Teaching me make it informative, make it fun. Put your style. That's the key to this, right? All right, number three, S t a give advice on things that you're great at. What are those things that are hobbies to you? The things that you know you love doing? Like you've seen me. I love journals. I love toys. But I also love real estate a lot. So you see me cycle through those things and I talk about AI but what about you? I have a friend that talks about gardening. I have a friend that talks about comic books. I have a friend that talks about places they love to eat because they love burritos. I want you to lean in on that because that's how you connect with people. In fact, this one, the advice for a this is the one that's probably going to get you the most views out of any video that you post, because this is where your passion is at. This is where you stand out. Because you understand this. You show up. It's a lot easier to show up at things that you love Consistently so. Think about this one. There's so many angles you can take on this one. Advice. And last is Y for you. So you got S T A Y. Y is for you. You got to. You. You. You gotta show me what you are doing, what you're eating. A picture of you, a video of you. Either you having fun or you doing the thing that you do. Right. Whatever it is. Like, I posted a picture of me with my journals. It did well, because people want to connect with me. They want to know what I do on the spare time. Tristan, are you always working? What do you do? Well, I play Fortnite, I read, I'm with my family, and I write. That's practically what I do if I'm not working. Right. But what about you? What do you like to do? Where do you go? Show it to us. And if you're like, tristan, I suck on camera. I'm terrible. I don't want anybody to see me. Great. Show me where you're at. It doesn't have to be about you, right? Show me the beautiful images. Show me what you're eating, where you're going, without you in the picture. That works, too. Anyway, that's the acronym. S, T, A, Y. Sell with a story, teach. Give advice on things that you love, and show up. You show up. I want you on there. What are you doing? What do you. What do you love? It all comes back down to just connecting with people through this way. Now, the cycle. Once you've done with this cycle for 30 days, the idea is to go back and check what worked, what connected with your audience, because now you're going to press a little bit harder. And that's how I've been able to discover the things that I need to be posting over a very long period of time. I'm like, got it. I went through S, T, A, Y. I see under S, this is what people love about me. Under T, this is what they need, right? Under A, they really love this. And under Y, they love this. Got it. I know now I'm going to show up, and then it becomes like SS&A and T over here and T again and then Y. But you got to get started somewhere. So give this a shot. If you need this. It's a simple PDF that I have. It just shows S, T, A, Y. You probably don't need it. If you're watching on YouTube, grab the transcript, throw it into ChatGPT, throw it into Gemini, actually, and then have it give you an outline and then even a graphic on this, because I created this for Facebook and Instagram while I work there. You will love it too. It works. A lot of businesses have tried this and it's all about putting in the hard work on this one. One you need to show up, have an awesome day.
