Most of the time, I'm going through affirmations in the day and in the evening, and I'm always adding one or two that I think can help me show up better. Because like everybody else, sometimes I have doubts that creep in and I second guess myself. But I do my best to show up without them. And the number one thing that helps me for now, 20 plus years, is affirmations. It's truths. The truths that I want to live by. Because anytime I have any type of doubt creeping in or the wrong phrase or the wrong way I'm talking to myself, it affects me. And I don't want to be prone to that, especially from me. Like, you should be talking to yourself in a. In a way that's constructive, in a way that helps you grow, in a way that helps you show up better as a real estate agent, as a human being. Father, mother, brother, sister, friend, doesn't matter. And I want you to show it better. I've got these morning affirmations for 2026 that I've been tweaking, making better just over the last few days. And I want to share them with you because maybe they'll inspire you to make your own. Maybe you want to just use mine. You can. This is your daily real estate. It's a podcast, it's a show every single day. I'm Tristan. Been running this now for two years, almost coinciding with my brokerage Y Realty, but you know, that's only a year old. I guess it doesn't coincide with it, but, you know, well, it sounded good when I said it. And I've been running Lab coat agents for 12 years, a brilliant charter for six, and now in real estate, helping real estate agents and the consumers. 22 years. Let's go. Morning affirmations, 2026. I call them morning truths. Here we go. I'm just going to read them to you. I focus on one step at a time and prioritize what matters most. Mistakes are just data. I have the skills to solve this. Remember, I'm just talking to myself. And I'm just reading these. Don't forget to breathe. That's for me, like Tristan, just breathe. Sometimes I get a little tense and I'm not breathing. Action creates inspiration. I build momentum through small steps. I choose to set the tone today, not just react to it. I possess the discipline to pursue my goal goals. My time is valuable. I invest it in growth. I'm building success through my daily habits. I have to remind myself, tristan, it takes time to build this, to rebuild yourself to reconstruct yourself to go a different direction. Right? I welcome challenges because I can handle them. Sometimes. Sometimes I feel like, man, this is a lot. Some days I have to step back, reflect. So these words really help me. Right? I define my worth by my integrity and actions. I choose to see the abundance and possibilities around me because the. The opposite can also be true. Right? But instead I choose to see abundance instead of man. Why are they doing this? Why. Why can't I do that? Oh, I'm just limited, I guess. It's just that just is the way that it's right. I. I hate. I hate that it's not just the way it is. You can change things. I bring my best self to every interaction. That's a tough one because sometimes I'm not up to it. But I have to remind myself, I bring my best self to every interaction. Here's how you do it. Here's how you show up. And lastly, this is very short. I'm grateful for the chance to make an impact today. I would rather look at the world that way because today I have the ability to show up and make an impact where I show up. So for me, I'm grateful for the chance to make an impact today. Hopefully, these help you. If you need a copy of this, just message me on Instagram. I'm super slow to respond, but I will respond. And it's me responding. This one is episode seven 95. We're almost to 800. Crazy, right? Share this with somebody you think may need this. Have an awesome day.
Podcast: Your Daily Real Estate Podcast with Tristan Ahumada
Episode: 795 – Stop Being Mean To Yourself: The "Data" Mindset
Date: February 2, 2026
Host: Tristan Ahumada
Theme:
In this short, introspective episode, host Tristan Ahumada pulls back the curtain on his own self-talk routines, sharing the "morning affirmations" he relies on to guard against self-doubt and negativity. The episode is introspective yet practical, offering not just advice but also the host’s own strategies and reminders. He’s open about areas where he struggles, modeling vulnerability as a path to growth.
Rather than letting negative self-talk dictate your day, Tristan encourages real estate professionals—and anyone else listening—to adopt a “data” mindset, treating mistakes as opportunities, affirming your own worth and capacity, and approaching each day with purposeful gratitude and intention. The simple, repeatable morning affirmations he shares act as a powerful tool for resilience and growth, both in real estate and beyond.
