still aren't enough homes on the market to meet the demand. Although of course, all real estate is local, you can easily find a glut of properties on the market in certain areas like Tampa, Florida and parts of Texas. In June, more first time home buyers jumped in, letting go of those dreams of mortgage rates in the threes, fours and fives. The average rate on a 30 year fixed home loan was sitting around 6.5%, according to mortgage News Daily. And fewer people paid all cash for their new homes too. One

quarter of all sales were all cash, down from 29% last year. First time buyers made up 33% sales, up from 30% a year ago.
