It feels like it just happened.

I mean, it was three days ago.

Yeah. We've been married for three days now. So weird.

[Zayn]

Well, just to start off, I'm gonna say this now and after we're done with the episode.

Congratulations. Best weekend ever. Like, dead ass. That was, like, the funnest, like, coolest wedding I've been to in a really long time. It was just, like. It just felt so traditional. And you. You don't get a lot of those. I feel like, like, just recently in.

[Heath]

General, it felt straight from, like, the 70s 80s.

[Zayn]

It felt homey, too. Like, it felt. I didn't feel. I felt like I could really hit everything. With a lot of weddings, you feel like you just, like, miss stuff all the time. So that was really cool.

[Mariah]

Zane found his calling that weekend. I could not breed. You were on it.

[Zayn]

I told myself. I told myself, like, look, this weekend is, like, they've been talking about this weekend for maybe the past, like, five years. And I knew in my head, I was like, I. It doesn't matter how anxious I am, how upset I am or how just all that. Just let it go and just. Just be there mentally Physically, everything. And don't mess up. It's not about you. And just do everything you can to make sure that they have the best weekend of their life, you know?

[Mariah]

It felt like it healed you a little bit.

[Zayn]

Oh, it did.

[Mariah]

I don't know. So, felt in your element.

[Zayn]

Anxiety out the door.

[Mariah]

Yeah. It was so strange.

[Heath]

I know I've said it a hundred times to you, but thank you again for everything. Like genuinely, like make it a lot easier. You helped so much, it's not even funny. And just like day before the wedding, day of the wedding, just everything.

[Mariah]

Like he was actually like our safe space, believe it or not. Like you are safe space throughout the whole week. Like we were like. There was a point where he was like, I'm overwhelmed. I think I'm just gonna go sit in Zayn's room. I'm like, really nice.

[Matt]

That's good.

[Zayn]

What about my room? What about me?

[Mariah]

But it was just like perfect. Like when we got bombarded with a lot of people, we just felt like we need to like go find Zayn and just like stand in front of him.

[Heath]

I called Zayn at like one in the morning the night before the wedding. Like because we had to separate rooms. Like, you know, hated that. I called Zayn at like one something in the morning, like bawling my eyes out and he's like, do you want me to come to the room? I was like, yeah. And then I had like, I had.

[Zayn]

Like 40 people in my room and I was like, guys, I gotta go.

[Mariah]

Oh wow.

[Zayn]

Where are you going? It's like I gotta, I didn't even say where I was going. I was like, I have to leave.

[Matt]

Wait, were you ball, Were you balling out of just like excitement and joy, like stress.

[Zayn]

Just nerves.

[Heath]

I think I lost five pounds this wedding out of just straight water weight from tears. I was, dude, it was non stop.

[Mariah]

I truly didn't feel an ounce of stress.

[Zayn]

Mariah. It was so funny because he'd be, he'd be freaking out, just nervous. Like every, just every emotion in the book and you'd come in the room.

[Heath]

Immediately.

[Mariah]

I did feel, feel nervous and I felt like anxious but on a good way. I was overwhelmed, anxious and nervous in a positive way.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Mariah]

I wasn't like angry, sad, upset. At any moment.

[Zayn]

Your anxiety was out the door. I, I didn't see you once with anxiety. I feel like, I actually think like.

[Mariah]

The people around me made it so much easier. Like having my cousins by my side the entire weekend really helped because they're so distracting and people Are really your safe space. Yeah. Like, I'm a totally different person.

[Zayn]

I know. I. Trust me.

[Mariah]

I noticed it comfortable around.

[Zayn]

I see you every here. I saw a completely different person that weekend, this past weekend. It was insane.

[Mariah]

They make everybody feel very comfortable.

[Zayn]

Yeah, I felt, I. I felt great. I felt normalized.

[Mariah]

You found your people.

[Heath]

Zayn was in his glory with all the cousins.

[Mariah]

It was because they're crazier than him.

[Zayn]

It's nice, like, being around like idiots too. Like, I feel like I don't, like, I don't. I don't see anybody like that here in la, that's for sure.

[Mariah]

Like people that have no shame.

[Zayn]

Exactly. Cuz I have no shame. I have no filter. So being able to even just sit there and listen to them, like, oh, that's nice.

[Heath]

It's refreshing.

[Zayn]

It made me look normal, but it was great. I was told either like, those girls are loud, but thank God they're funny.

[Heath]

Yeah, they're hilarious. They weren't funny. They would be so annoying. They talk at is so high and so fast. It's really interesting.

[Zayn]

They try to beat each other on like, who's Funnier? Which I feel like we do sometimes too.

[Mariah]

But it's just constant because we always talk about it in group chats, like my mom's side of the family and my dad's side of the family. The cousins are equally so funny and they like to battle, like, whose side of the family is funnier? It's so. It's just like, exciting always.

[Zayn]

It also reminded me of when, when I was younger we'd be with our cousins from, like, my stepdad's side like all the time. And it was always a constant, like it never stopped. Because they were funny too. Yeah, I don't see them anymore. So it like, made like it was really nice to like, get that feeling again, like, of a bunch of cousins just like bantering and there's a lot of us. Yeah, it was, it was. It was amazing. But.

Was it smooth? Just getting there. We didn't forget anything left behind. Was the airport nice about bringing the. Your dress on?

[Zayn]

Did anything go wrong in terms of just arriving?

[Mariah]

The only thing was the. There was no closets on either plane. Oh, I expected to hang it. So I had to take up a whole cubby and the attendant, like, put it up on the cubby and laid it flat and she closed it. And I'm like, I don't want anyone to know that that was me taking up a whole.

[Heath]

Every flight we've ever been on, they have the closet to hang a coat or a dress or anything like that.

[Zayn]

But I feel like a lot of. I feel like a lot of bridesmaids, they do take their dress on the plane.

[Heath]

Because we walked in, I was like, can we hang her dress? And she was like, we don't have a closet. We're not. We're not like those other airlines. I'm like.

[Mariah]

And then she did this. Then he was like, all right. Then we pause for, like, 10 seconds because we're waiting. We're standing in line. Then she looks back at him and goes, I can see you're thinking, is there really not a closet or it. She was like, there's really not a closet.

[Matt]

He was like, I could wear it for you if you want me. He was like, I'll just wear it for the rest of the flight. Don't worry. I got you, girl.

[Heath]

So we felt bad having to take up, like, you know, like, one cubby.

[Matt]

Yes.

[Heath]

For, like, stuff.

[Zayn]

And it sucks because I know there weren't. They weren't gonna let you hold it on your seat. No. They would make you put it up. So it's like you had no choice at that point. You couldn't, like.

[Matt]

Yeah.

Go back to the terminal.

[Heath]

The only struggle with flying with it. So if you are flying with your suit or your dress, I would just.

[Mariah]

Call and see if there's a closet.

[Heath]

Yeah. Double check.

[Mariah]

But you know what? They did tell me there was no closet. And then at the end, an older fella asked another. What are they called?

[Heath]

Flight attendant.

[Mariah]

Asked another flight attendant. He said, my jacket. He goes, oh, yes. And he walks to the back and grabs his jacket, and it was hanging.

[Heath]

So somebody else.

[Mariah]

I was like, where was that? So I don't know.

[Heath]

It was weird.

[Mariah]

I think the flight attendant was either divorced.

[Matt]

Divorce just, like, wants to ruin every bride.

[Heath]

We don't have it.

[Zayn]

If someone came on. If. If a lady came on with a wedding dress, I would be ecstatic. I'd be like, oh, my God, congrats. I would have helped her with the dress.

[Mariah]

Yeah. It was 50. 50 people were either, like, asking us so many questions. Where.

[Heath]

Super excited.

[Mariah]

How long are you together? Let me see the engagement. Everyone was so excited. And then half the other people were like, older women that were like, lord, have mercy. Like, me carrying my dress on was such an issue. I didn't even do anything yet. And they were like, oh, God, that's.

[Zayn]

Crazy that they let out those, like.

[Mariah]

Loud huffing and puffing. And, like, this one lad huffed and puffed. And Heath was standing there in his seat, and he looked over at her and said, is there a problem? Out. She didn't know he was with me.

[Heath]

She was setting the dress up top. And then the lady is standing at the. Like, the front, like, getting ready to walk on the plane. She goes, oh, here we go. Lord have mercy. And she didn't know that I was standing there with her. And I. I went. I popped Matt like, this Far away, face to face. I go, is there a problem?

[Mariah]

She kept looking straight and didn't even look.

[Heath]

Didn't look at me. And I go, thought so.

[Zayn]

I would have thrown up. That's my wife. You're talking.

[Heath]

That's my wife. But yeah, that was the only, like, kind of like stressful part of like getting there, but.

[Mariah]

And it didn't take longer to put up the dress than a freaking suitcase. It took two seconds. But it was the fact that I had to take up the space. I just wanted the peace of mind of like, them not having to check other bags because of mine and they didn't.

[Heath]

Good. Yeah. Everybody had room and like, we treated.

[Mariah]

Ourselves to first class. So we just got that first slot and we're like, all right.

[Matt]

Yeah, why not?

[Heath]

Also, we didn't have like a carry on to bring. So, like, that's what we brought with us.

[Mariah]

That was our thing. Yeah.

[Heath]

So it's not like we had carry ons that we're putting up and we're taking like.

[Matt]

Yeah, that's what.

[Heath]

That was our space.

[Matt]

Yeah. Great.

[Heath]

Yeah.

And so how many days early did you get in before your wedding?

[Mariah]

I think only four days before. Three days before.

[Matt]

[Heath]

Nice. So we got into Pennsylvania and then we had to drive to New Jersey where the venue was the Pleasant Dale Chateau.

[Zayn]

Guys, literally the. The most beautiful venue I've ever seen you.

[Heath]

But yeah, it was beautiful. And everybody there, the staff, the level at which they operate was unreal.

[Mariah]

Like, truly so accommodating, made it so easy. My brain was off the whole week. I did not have to think, as soon as we got there, they took care of everything. I couldn't believe it. They were unbelievable.

[Zayn]

That's how it should feel.

[Matt]

That's more employees than like an Apple store there. I mean, it was just like somebody was there in every like nook and cranny there.

[Heath]

Yeah.

[Matt]

Happy to help and make something easier. And it was also such perfect, like, I loved the. The how it wasn't like so much snow, but it was like there was.

[Mariah]

Snow like on the grounds were froz.

[Matt]

And it wasn't like frigid, stupid. I can't stand to be outside cold.

[Heath]

Yeah.

[Matt]

It was the perfect weather for your wedding. Just this nice, like cozy. Just touch and hue in atmosphere to the entire weekend. I love.

Everybody got in safe, which was, like.

Super important to us. So we drove over to New Jersey. We had to do a drop off, like, a few days before for all of our, like, menus and things like that that we printed our name cards for the table arrangements.

And just a reminder, guys, they did everything. Heath and Mariah, they did all, like, the cards, the. The name plate, like, everything that usually a wedding planner would do. They did everything. So it just made it that much.

[Mariah]

It was my sister.

[Zayn]

Yeah. And her sister.

It was so cool to just see, like, the vision come to life. But, yeah, so we dropped everything off and then we stayed at the hotel that all of our guests were going to stay at.

The one that we stayed at.

So we got in and we did, like, a pizza taste test because we were doing the pizza party the night before. So we, like, ordered pizzas and, like, tried to.

We were, like, from different places to figure out which one you should order there.

There was one that we, like, had to try. It was, like, rated by, like, Dave Portnoy or whatever.

[Matt]

It was like a easy on the pepperoni with the honey drizzle. It was like one of their, like, hot pepperoni honey type pies. I had it.

That one was really literally best invention Ever. Hot honey on pizza. It's having up with that.

It's a moment. Hot honey is really like here to.

Say it's having its. Like Nashville hot chicken tender.

Hot honey goes on anything. But if you have hot honey in your house.

So you pull the little top trigger thing and it lets it flow out the bottom, and then you let go and it seals it back up.

I like that. So it's a nice little drizzle. Not too much flow. There's a little bit of control. I might got to get going to get me some of that.

Basically, every single state has its own rules and whatever for getting your marriage license. Then it's within the counties of the state. And everybody's like, it's all different. So when we were looking it up, we saw that you had to do it within 72 hours of your actual.

Wedding in the county that you were getting married in for this specific county. Okay.

So we saw that. We're like, okay, cool, we're going in early to do the drop off anyway. So we'll be there within 72 hours. We'll just go get it taken care of when we go in. And we just didn't think about it. We were just like, okay, easy enough. Good.

[Zayn]

This was the morning of the pizza party.

[Heath]

Yes.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Matt]

Do you have to get it notarized?

[Heath]

No, but what happened was we were just like, okay, it's time. Let's go get it. So we called the. Wherever it was to make the appointment, to go do the paperwork, whatever. So we're on the phone and she's like, when's the wedding? Blah, blah, blah. And we tell her, and she goes, oh, you're. It's. You have to be within 72 business hours. We. You can.

[Mariah]

Weekends don't count.

[Matt]

Oh.

[Mariah]

I was like, but weddings happen on the weekend. They should know.

[Heath]

So I'm like, wait, what do we do now? And she was like, you can just come in today. We'll make the appointment. She goes, but you're going to have a problem because, like, this is technically against the law. And she. You can't get the marriage license because it's breaking the 72 hour law.

[Mariah]

The only time they wave it. Yeah. So the only time they wave it is if you're in the military. So she goes, good luck. She goes, you can. You can go to the judge and beg.

[Matt]

That's Heath enlists. He's just like, do it for my God, my country, and my soon to be wife. You come in.

[Zayn]

In the. In your army, a veteran.

[Mariah]

Oh, my gosh. Night. Night vision goggles. They're like, sir, he's going through this. He's going through the.

He gets baptized, signs up for the army.

[Zayn]

We do what?

So we go to that first place, we do all the paperwork with the lady, and she goes, good luck. Now you have to go make an appointment with a judge and beg.

She goes, just beg.

Where does he live?

Right. Literally fruit basket on the ring cam.

So she was like, don't. Don't count on it. But yeah, you should just go try whatever. Yeah, but so we make this appointment. We're driving to Newark now to go to the courthouse.

[Matt]

Oh, so we're going back to this orange Judge.

[Heath]

Yes. So that was the. The first day, and then they were closed that day. So then we had to go the following morning.

[Zayn]

Got it. Okay.

[Heath]

So we show up and we walk in. We have this whole appointment thing to go meet with the judge.

[Mariah]

First of all, we. We get through security. Like, I bring my cousin Rebecca. I'm like, I need. We need a witness. Like, we, like, I don't know what we're doing. So we walk into the courts, were going through security. Not once did they ask for anybody's id.

[Heath]

It was very strange.

[Mariah]

It was very strange.

[Matt]

Weird.

[Mariah]

So then we get up to. We get escorted by a police officer, like a court officer. And we walk in and it's literally like Judge Judy.

[Heath]

This. Normal, normal clothes.

[Mariah]

I literally thought about that in my veil, a sash, anything to sell it.

[Matt]

Can we wrap this up? Get married to this man?

[Zayn]

It's so funny. You had a Reb as a witness.

[Heath]

Yes.

[Zayn]

God. God help you guys.

But also, like, Rev is so funny and loud.

[Mariah]

She doesn't stop. She. Well, when we walked in, we got escorted by the court officer. She goes, can I record? Because like this, we're like, it's happening. Can I record? And he goes, I think so. And then we go. And the door we walked through says, absolutely no recording film, nothing. And he was like, oh. Then I don't know. So we walk in, and she's sitting there, and we're sitting at, like, the front table with more mic'd up, like.

Cats facing us legitimately. Judge Judy, the whole setup. The judge up there recording in progress.

[Matt]

Yeah, I'm like, just like stenographer. Yeah.

[Mariah]

It's just crazy. So then there was a woman standing behind the desk, and she's asking us questions, and we're sitting up nice and tall. Like, Rev is being quiet for once, and we're just so uptight. And then we're trying to, like, schmooze her a little bit. And like, the second we try to schmooze her, she goes, I'm not the one doing it. And we were like, oh. And we all were like, damn it. Like, we just waited. It was so. It was so.

[Heath]

She was like, you can tone it down. I'm not the judge.

[Mariah]

She was like, I'm not the one doing it. And we both went.

[Zayn]

She probably gets it all the time.

[Mariah]

So funny.

[Zayn]

Then the judge comes out.

Love her. Wouldn't change a thing about her. Love her to death. She walks in and thank God, every time she asks us questions about the wedding, we answered at the exact same time, the exact same answer. Like, it was like, how many people? 250. Where is it? Pleasantale Chateau. And she looks up and she goes, they have good food. I'm like, yeah, they do.

[Matt]

Yes.

[Mariah]

And I was. I was literally like, you want an invite? You want an invite, judge?

[Heath]

But also, it's like when you're being questioned like that, it's like when you go to another country and they ask you, like, how long are you staying? Where are you staying at? You just, like, freeze, Like.

[Zayn]

Yeah. We were so nervous, scared to be interrogated. Yeah.

[Mariah]

And then she goes, we just. We were prepared to, like, walk in and be like, we had the fires in la. We couldn't get here in time. Like, all this stuff that all went out the window. Our story. We were just like. We just messed up. We didn't know. Like, she was like, so why didn't you get the sooner? We were like, we flew in this day and it. We just. We didn't know about the business hour, whatever. She's asking us questions. She's caught. She's complimenting the Pleasantale Chateau. She goes, I've been to a lot of places like that. That's a really good spot. I'm like, yeah. And then she goes, 250 people. That's a lot of people to send home and cancel. And then she goes, good thing you don't have to.

[Heath]

Like. It was a tv.

[Mariah]

It was like a skit.

[Matt]

Oh, my gosh.

[Zayn]

It was being recorded. She probably did that for herself.

[Mariah]

Hysterical. She was so funny.

The delivery that she had on this.

She was having fun.

So Reb is recording. She's our witness. Yeah.

We have pictures.

She looks at Rev, like, what are you doing? Like, what are you doing here? She goes, I thought they needed a witness. She goes, no, we don't. You're not getting married right now. And she's like, when do we get married? Like, when do we sign the paper? We have to go back to that first lady in West Orange.

[Heath]

Yeah.

[Mariah]

She has assigned the paperwork. So we're sitting there, she's recording, thinking we're about to get married, like, legally. And she's like, okay, it was just.

[Heath]

Like, a really funny experience. So then we take it back to that first lady, and she's like, going through everything, and she's like, are you guys cousins? And I was like, I hope not.

[Mariah]

No. She goes, are you related? And we said, no. And she was like, in New Jersey, you can marry your first cousin.

[Heath]

Yeah, I was like, your cousin in New Jersey.

[Mariah]

So I asked her, and she said, it's a lot of, like, foreign people that like to keep it in the family traditionally or something. And I was like, oh, God.

[Heath]

Okay.

[Zayn]

Game of Thrones kind of with that.

[Matt]

They didn't ask us in Alabama because apparently you can marry anyone.

[Heath]

You can marry a dog in Alabama.

[Mariah]

Oh, my gosh.

[Matt]

We love bestiality here. Were you. Would you guys have gone through with a legally fake wedding?

And then just get married when we got back to LA or something.

I think that would have been the best way to do it. Just, like, don't even tell anybody.

It's interesting in, like, England, for the one I went to, like, Will and Arden's, they had, like, the two representatives from the courthouse come to the wedding, sit at the altar at a table right next to them. So once they go, like, Will and Auden are now married. They then go over to the table and they sign the marriage documents. The person, you do it right there.

[Heath]

That's cool.

[Mariah]

It's a very London.

[Matt]

Yeah, it's a very interesting tradition.

[Zayn]

Okay, I'm gonna get married.

[Matt]

So you guys get the license. Yeah, that's all good. You come back home. Now, is it the night of your wedding? You guys obviously had to separate.

[Heath]

Yeah.

How nervous are you? What's going on?

[Mariah]

For me, personally, I know deep down I was nervous, but I didn't feel nervous. I think it was equivalent to, like, being a dancer my whole life. Like, you're.

[Zayn]

You're, like, playing it in your head.

[Mariah]

I rehearse the whole year for, like, the performance at the end of the year. And it's not until I'm standing in the wing and they're about to press start where I start feeling the nerves. So I knew that that's how I operate. So I really wasn't nervous. I was just more upset about, like, separating.

[Matt]

Yeah.

[Mariah]

And the next time we would see each other is down the aisle. Like, that's crazy to me. So we were, like, up until 2am Me, him, and my sister practicing our first dance. Oh, we're practicing our first day.

[Matt]

I would have been like, y'all go to bed?

[Mariah]

No, I was. No, I think I ran on, like, two hours of sleep that night.

[Zayn]

I don't think they went to bed until like, what, six in the morning?

[Heath]

Yeah, it was late, but, like, so my. My nerves are different. Like, to me, it felt like I had, like, a. A final for a class, and I had this giant presentation that I had to do where I had to make, like, a PowerPoint and I have to, like, present this thing in front of, like, 500 people. So that is, like, what it felt to me. And I was like, I haven't even started this project yet. So, like, the night before the wedding, I was like, it's that feeling of, like, unpreparedness or.

[Zayn]

Yeah, Yeah.

[Matt]

A little bit of, like, performance anxiety.

[Mariah]

Yeah, it was more that the performance because we felt at ease when we dropped everything off at Pleasantale the few days before. They were like, you're good. We have it taken care of from here. You don't have to think about anything. We'll see you Sunday. So now it was just like the first dance, the walking down the aisle. Like, the stuff that you don't really get. You don't get to practice vows. Like.

[Matt]

Yeah.

[Mariah]

You're just.

[Zayn]

You don't. Again, you don't want to see each other.

[Mariah]

Yeah. You really don't practice anything.

[Heath]

You're kind of just like, going with the flow of.

[Matt]

Luckily, the process of it all, it guides you through it. It's not like you have to, I don't know, have so much improvisational, like.

Yeah.

Weight to it. But for me, it felt like more like the night before Christmas or like your birthday when you're like a kid, where you're just like, it's such a big day tomorrow, and, oh, my God, it's hard to get your brain just to be like, okay, let's shut everything and just accept tomorrow is going to come.

Now day of wedding, you wake up. Mariah, how early are you? How was it getting ready with all the girls?

It was really fun.

We had a whole like bridal salon upstairs and the boys had a whole.

We had a basement that had a.

Basement with like pool tables, poker table, shuffleboard. They had a barber shop so it was very.

All the bridesmaids bring their dresses. Did no one forget anything behind that? Always Happens at a wedding where it's like one bridesmaid left the dress at home.

The only thing that was fun was that they brought their dresses. Some people brought extra dresses. I brought two extra black dresses in case people change their mind.

They were actually hang. Hanging up all their dresses. And we were playing, like, dress roulette, where people were like, can I try yours on? Can I try yours on? And they were mixing and matching.

[Zayn]

That's funny. You're talking about the bridesmaids or the wet.

The bridesmaids.

The bridesmaids dress.

[Heath]

So they. They got there at nine in the morning to start.

[Matt]

That's actually nice. I've heard some weddings where it's like.

7Am Every wedding I've been to, it's 6:45am God. Because there's so many people that, like, have to get hair and makeup done.

[Matt]

And you're in full glam for just hours, just drinking champagne, just getting drunk already.

Yeah.

[Heath]

But then we got to the pleasant deal at 11am okay. And then we had that whole, like, basement area. So we. We were just, like, all excited. And we ended up, like, playing pool and shuffleboard and, like, kind of, like, not wasting half the day. But we were just, like, enjoying.

[Matt]

Like, for guys, it's a lot of lottery killing time.

[Zayn]

Because we didn't get to, like, spend a lot of time in this little basement. Or not little. It was humongous. It felt like a giant Irish bar.

[Matt]

It was the Dave and Busters. Yeah.

[Zayn]

It was, like, as big as Saddle Range. If you took Saddle Ranch and put it into, like, a.

[Heath]

It was. It was crazy.

Ginormous. Yeah. It was wild. It was really nice.

And the barber. The barber that you hired was really nice. He gave all the groomsmen, like, a straight razor.

Y'all got fresh cuts.

Oh, good. We were looking at the photos of the video, and Patricia was like, oh, my gosh. They have, like, a barber thing. If we're like, he's totally getting a haircut.

Yeah.

Especially in Jersey. All the barbers are insane.

[Heath]

His name was Daniel Bellow. Barbers. He was so sweet. He did everybody's beard. Hot shave, clean cuts, like, everything.

[Zayn]

And not a red in sight. No red.

[Matt]

I've never had a hot shave, Matt. I've never had a straight razor shave. I should do it always. Like, I feel like you got to grow it out a bit to, like, they get it.

[Heath]

It was. It's so relaxing. Like, that was, like, what calmed me down too. They put, like, that hot towel on your face. And it's like steam.

[Zayn]

But the last time I did a hacha was five years ago. And the reason why I never did it again, because the guy cut me up. I was like, literally bleeding everywhere. Sweeney Todd red on my neck for maybe, like, three days. I was like, oh, I'm never gonna do a hot shave again if this is what it' Like, I got it done. Literally, there was. It was white. It was still white by the time he finished. I was like, this is what a hot shave is. This was amazing.

[Matt]

Yeah, it was really nice. So then, like, after we did that, we went up and, like, we got dressed up, we got in our suits, and then from there, we went back down and, like, did our photos in the game room and, like, went outside to do photos, and we had.

[Matt]

So first look you saw Mariah win?

No.

Down the aisle.

[Matt]

Because rehearsal, you were not there, right?

[Heath]

Yeah.

[Matt]

[Zayn]

Was cute. Our. My bridal attendant, they were, like, updating me on, like, when you arrived, they were like, the groom's here. And I was like, no way. How does he look? And they're like, he's wearing this. And then when you got ready, they were like, he's dressed like, he looks really good. I'm like, really?

[Zayn]

I love the way you guys did it where you don't see each other until the aisle. I. I was like, did you text.

[Matt]

At all throughout the entire day?

[Mariah]

We texted.

[Heath]

We texted the night before when we separated. So when you went to your room, we texted a little bit.

[Mariah]

And because I needed the. You had the whitening strip. Needed one, yeah. And I said. I said, you're covering your eyes.

[Zayn]

You're covering your eyes. At the door, I was like, I.

[Mariah]

Swear I didn't leave them there on purpose to come back, but, like, can somebody run them down? So your mom ended up running them down because she couldn't sleep either.

[Heath]

Yeah, my mom couldn't sleep. Then she ended up coming to the room.

[Mariah]

We were hanging out. Yeah.

[Zayn]

But before that, she stopped at my room. She was partying. Oh, yeah. We were probably smoking it up. Oh, it was. It was wild. Good time. It was a good time.

[Heath]

But then we had texted that morning.

[Mariah]

Just, like, little things. Yeah.

[Matt]

And then the ceremony happens.

[Heath]

Yep.

[Mariah]

Yeah. Don't even ask me any questions. I don't know what happened, man.

[Heath]

She was running. I heard.

[Mariah]

I flew down the aisle.

[Zayn]

Yeah, Mariah. We all did.

[Matt]

Y'all were. Y'all do. Y'all were quick to the point where. No, I was like. I was like, slow down, I was about to, like, say something to be like, everybody's like, I didn't know.

[Mariah]

I did.

[Zayn]

I saw that too. Go get your.

[Heath]

You were not.

You were too fast, but you were walking with a purpose.

[Mariah]

Yeah, I had tunnel vision. I was like, only him.

[Heath]

So what happened is there was the ceremony room, which was like that long walk to get down to it. But before that is an even longer walk. That's an uphill ramp.

[Matt]

Right.

[Heath]

So we, your momentum, we were moving, like up the ramp. It was like almost being at an airport where you're on the treadmill and then you, like, get off and then you like, kind of like going faster.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Heath]

So we were walking uphill to get going, and then that, that speed just carried through into the flat and we were just going.

[Zayn]

But also, in the back of my head, you guys needed the daylight out, the sunlight outside to take pictures after. Before your first look or for those.

[Heath]

Like, we wanted as much time as we could have for our photos once we, like, Right. Got married. So it was great.

[Zayn]

That ceremony felt like 15 minutes.

[Mariah]

Tell me about it. You don't say.

[Zayn]

Yeah, it was nice because I knew you. You guys really needed to take your pictures after. I think we all were all on the same page mentally about that. We're like, yo, let's.

[Matt]

You know what? I didn't do it at your wedding because I knew it was going to be, like, short and well lived. Sometimes I do wedding bingo. Do you know what this is?

[Heath]

No.

[Matt]

So you make bingo.

[Mariah]

Yes.

[Matt]

But instead of like numbers and all the cards, you write, like, you write vows, God, family, husband, wife. You do all the cliche words. And so you just listen to everything and you start circling the words when they're being said.

[Zayn]

Oh, that's funny.

It's a great way to pass last time. If you're at a wedding of someone who you don't care about but like.

[Zayn]

Did you have a table of gifts at the wedding?

[Mariah]

There was cards. So for my bridal shower, I got our registry gift gifts. So all stuff for around the house and stuff. I did that for my bridal shower. The Wedding is just cards.

Oh, okay. Because I didn't notice any, like.

[Matt]

Wait, those cards are for you guys? I thought they were for us.

[Mariah]

Don't mind if I had zoom.

No, but it's really funny because Santiago, the guy who, like, was running everything.

There, he was a character.

He's literally like this.

But he's so funny.

He was flirting with everybody.

He's so funny. He was, like, basically saying that, like, one time there was, like, the bird cage full of cards that, like, went missing. So they got cameras installed to, like, always have a camera on the bird cage. But it was the uncle of the groom or whatever who was worried that somebody else would possibly get into the cards and take them.

[Mariah]

He was, like, drunk, so he took.

[Heath]

Them to his room and his drug money. He's like, I gotta hide these things. So he, like, grabbed a birdcage and, like. But, yeah, it was. It was really funny. Sorry. Where were we?

[Matt]

We got our money ceremony where I walked down the aisle. Isn't it such a strange sight or. It's not. It's the most beautiful sight. But you, like. You get so, like, nervous because you're like, I'm about to witness something I'm about to remember for the rest of my life.

[Heath]

I literally felt like I was dreaming the entire time.

[Mariah]

Yeah, it felt very out of body.

[Matt]

You're high every day.

[Mariah]

I had a body rush. Head rush the entire time. I will say, it did help my. I had the blusher, so the veil that went over my face. That helped me a lot because it felt like, you know, if. You know, when you have sunglasses and a hat on, you feel like no one can see you. That's what I felt like. So I was just, like, looking at him the whole time. I. I don't know who was sitting where. I did not look around at all, but I was definitely, like. I was like, am I about to pass out? Like, I felt really dizzy.

[Matt]

Isn't it wild when you, like, see each other? You kind of. The first thing you want to do is kiss.

[Mariah]

Yeah.

[Matt]

Yeah. I haven't seen you all day. Okay, wait, we have to do this things.

[Zayn]

Like, I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna start. I'm gonna start the malevil trend.

[Heath]

It's very helpful because I. I could barely see you through that film. Like, I know she's loving this. Nobody can see her. I felt. When I was walking down the aisle with Madison, I. I hated it. So I hate when everybody's watching you.

We were. We were like, yeah, yeah. We were like suckers or something. But my God, I tear. So that veil was perfect for you.

It's cool to, like, finally see, like, what her dress looked like. And then she showed me, like, after we got married, like, what the dress started, like, and all the custom stuff that she had done to it with, like, adding the roses made out of the same material of the dress. Like, the extra fabric.

[Mariah]

Yeah. I got. I bought the dress at Caroza Bridal in Glendale, and it had. It was a regular strap dress, so it went on top of my shoulders and there was nothing on it. So then I brought it to our seamstress, Encino Taylor's, who made. Custom made his suit from scratch. And I was like, I want them to do my dress. I have this vision. So I said, let's drop the sleeves and let's add roses. She ended up calling the bridal store I got my dress from and said, do you have extra fabric from her dress? And they got in contact and they gave her the actual fabric and made the flowers, which was great. So above and beyond and so cool. They, like, really, really cool.

[Zayn]

It feels like something you have to do. Like, you have to call both and be like, hey, can you send the fabric to.

[Mariah]

Yeah, they. They did it. Yeah. It was amazing. So that was. It's really exciting that it's. Both of our outfits were one of one. It's so. It's just so cool.

[Zayn]

Did you both have tunnel vision to each other at the ceremony?

[Mariah]

Like, you didn't the entire.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Mariah]

Time.

[Zayn]

I think that helps too. Just, like, focusing on one person.

I couldn't listen. I couldn't even hear what Michael was saying that our officiant couldn't even hear what he was saying. I was like, I. I don't even know what's going on. On.

Yeah. I just felt like we were in a bubble, like, just locked in. And everything else, like, was just spinning around us.

[Mariah]

Yeah.

[Heath]

And it was just like.

[Mariah]

It felt like, you know when you're drunk and you lay in your bed?

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Mariah]

The whole room spins. It's exactly what it felt like.

[Heath]

I thought I was gonna pass out.

[Mariah]

Yeah.

[Heath]

I was.

He. I couldn't. I couldn't see your face right. The whole time while standing back there. So I was doing fine. Fine. Perfectly fine. Perfect. 100. I'm like, I'm good.

I'm good. I'm seeing the girls.

Oh.

I'm like, all right. I'm sitting there listening, listening all. All of a sudden he starts having Heath and Mariah say. And immediately, the second I heard, he'd go.

Because I. Because again, I couldn't see Heat's face, so I had no idea how he, like, looked. That got me. And then it kept going back and forth. I was like, get me out of here. This is embarrassing. Thank God your brother was holding Landon because he was covering my.

And just the way they set it up, because it was set up throughout the whole. Entire venue, the whole chateau, like, and what?

This place was great because every room was different. It literally felt like you're in a completely different, like, house, like, going through this.

[Heath]

It's basically like a. Like an old 1800, like, castle.

[Matt]

Yeah, yeah.

[Heath]

And things like that.

It was insane. And all the food, I just couldn't believe how much was. I was talking to so many different people. First off, they thought it was the dinner.

[Heath]

That's what everybody kept telling me.

[Zayn]

They thought it was the dinner. Like, oh. Like, they're like, oh, my God. Is this the dinner?

[Mariah]

Cocktail hour was when we got to take our pictures. So we didn't have much time because it was only an hour. But it was nice because we took our pictures and then our attendants brought up basically a mini cocktail hour to our room, and we got to sit and try everything that everyone else tried. So we were.

[Heath]

Yeah, yeah, it was really nice that we got to try everything, but I.

[Mariah]

I had no appetite at that time.

[Heath]

So hard to eat. I tried a bite of everything, but, like, just the energy, the rush, the.

[Matt]

Nerves, everything is just flowing through. Yeah, you just, like, no appetite.

[Heath]

We were just trying to, like, get it down. But yeah, I wish we could have like, seen the cocktail hour.

[Matt]

It was fun. And y'all had. Y'all had a bar. I swear, at every little nook and cranny, every little room I went into, I never had to wait for a drink at all.

[Heath]

Apparently. There was, like, ice sculptures and stuff, too.

[Zayn]

It was insane. Everywhere you went, every room was filled perfectly. Like, there was not. There was not too many people in one room. It felt like a restaurant. Like, everybody was seated and everybody was in every room perfectly.

[Matt]

I did not even know about the back area, like, under the tent with the lights.

[Heath]

Yeah.

[Matt]

I was like, oh, guess this is just, like, where it's at. And then someone was like. I was like, where is everybody? And they go, in the back room. I go, what back room? And I walk. I was like, what is this?

[Mariah]

It keeps going.

[Zayn]

It just kept going. Yeah. And everybody. It. It felt like very mature too. Like, everybody was like, kind of. Nobody was getting, like. Everybody was just kind of like, just respecting the whole.

[Matt]

It was a good, like, social hour, too.

[Zayn]

A great social hour. Yeah.

[Matt]

With people who also. You may know that you're not going to be sitting at a table with them. But, yes, it was a great socialization time for, like, the camaraderie to kick in for the main event.

[Heath]

How was the espresso martini, like, station?

[Zayn]

Amazing.

[Heath]

Good. Okay.

[Zayn]

I forgot. I forgot. You told me before that was gonna happen.

[Mariah]

That was a last minute thing we added too. Right.

[Zayn]

And I forgot about it until I saw. I was like, there it is.

[Matt]

Gorgeous.

[Heath]

My mom said that there was, like, a chocolate peanut butter espresso martini that she said was like, yes, that was.

[Zayn]

The one that they were giving out where I was cool.

[Heath]

Cool.

[Zayn]

Whose call was it on the mozzarella station? That was insane.

[Mariah]

That is like. That was like, my. My goal in life.

[Zayn]

Right? I have never had a hot, fresh, fresh.

[Matt]

Like, I didn't have it.

[Zayn]

And I. You knew it was good because every Italian around me was freaking out about it. I'm like, oh, okay, this is good.

[Mariah]

I think I'm now, like, made of 80%. What's it all? Because that was every picture of me. Like, I just have a plate of mozzarella. It was so damn good. That was the only thing I had an appetite for. It was so good.

[Zayn]

It was such a good call.

[Mariah]

Not get over it.

[Zayn]

So the hotel didn't provide that. You specifically.

[Mariah]

They do provide it, but I ch. I asked if they have it.

[Zayn]

Oh, God.

[Mariah]

Do you have A freshman station.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Mariah]

Because on the east coast, that's a big thing that of places have the fresh station.

[Heath]

When. When we were like having the meetings and sit downs with the people there, they like, we got to like talking about like the family and everything. And like, they knew it was like a big Italian wedding. So they're like, okay, perfect. So they were like, we need to have this, this, this, this, this. Because there's so many Italians. They're like, this is going to be.

[Mariah]

A hit my family. Right? Yeah.

[Matt]

And then the main reception happens.

[Zayn]

Yeah. Yeah. Oh, before the reception, I walked by this table maybe 50 times. Heath. Right. And I kept walking by. I'm like, oh, there's our names. Not once that I think you had to grab it. I thought it was just for looks. And so when we all get. So when we all like do our thing, our shin take like getting into the room. Oh, we get in, which was amazing. Looked great. And then everyone's sitting their table and I, I go, I'm like, how do we know the first time I like up. This is my first up. Where do we sit? And they're going, you didn't get us. You didn't get your sign. I was the only person that did not pick up my eyes.

[Matt]

Some people at the beginning were like, you don't need to get them now. Get them before you go in. Because some people were like picking them up. But like, you could lose it, right?

[Mariah]

I don't know.

[Matt]

There was some communication.

[Zayn]

So I just made a guess where to where I was sit. I'm guessing I sat with Gabe and Austin and all them.

[Mariah]

Right?

[Heath]

You chose the right table.

[Zayn]

I chose the right table.

[Mariah]

Do you like your table?

[Matt]

Loved my table.

[Mariah]

You had Remy, Alicia, you had that table, right? Yeah. Those name cards. We had to do those twice. Make all of them twice.

[Zayn]

Those are the ones that you're talking about on the podcast. Oh, I. I wish I ah. I wish I actually grabbed it.

[Mariah]

We had to do it twice. So we did it the first time and the first ones, I got the car just on Amazon. They were a gloss material. It had like a matte fine. Like the printer has settings for those. But for some reason it just wasn't. Wasn't working or cooperating. So we did them one night. We ended up finishing at like one.

[Matt]

In the morning folding and cutting mat.

[Mariah]

It was like we didn't have to cut them.

[Heath]

They came hours, they came printing them.

[Mariah]

But printing the names. The ink wasn't soaking into the paper. It was just sitting on top. So we Were like, let's just let it sit overnight. We woke up and it was just. Everything was a blob.

[Heath]

And I was, like, blended in, like, 250 cards.

[Mariah]

I'm like, no. So we had to rush. Thank God for Amazon Rush shipping the next morning. Morning. Because this was two days before we left or a day before we left.

[Heath]

Before we left.

[Mariah]

The day before we left, we had to Amazon ship another pack of just, like, regular paper ones, and we had to reprint all of them. Luckily, we had a system by then, so it kind of flew by fast.

[Zayn]

Only took you guys do this for weddings.

[Mariah]

It was really fun.

[Heath]

The whole process was so much fun that, like, I can see people that, like, work in that field. Like the bridal assistants that we have had, Unbelievable.

[Mariah]

They were making me want to work there. I really.

[Heath]

They're like, the job just looks so fun. Like, just being your lifeline, like, your help for the day. Like, anything you need, like, make it easier for you. And they just seemed like they were enjoying it so much. Like, the whole process and seeing how excited we were, it just, like, felt really, really cool. Like, the whole venue in itself.

[Matt]

Oh, the venue was staff. The whole room where you got married and was so elegant, so amazing. So well lit as well.

[Zayn]

Well, I imagine that cross there, by.

[Heath]

The way, the 1800.

[Zayn]

Yeah, I imagine back there, I was like, okay, I see why they.

[Mariah]

I see that.

[Matt]

So we all get seated. And as you know, with weddings, you guys have to make an entrance. You guys made an entrance as, like, to walk in.

[Heath]

Yeah. Yeah.

[Matt]

All of that.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Matt]

What did you. How did you walk in? Did you.

[Mariah]

We.

[Zayn]

We came and they're like, introducing the bridesmaids. The bridesmaids all come out.

[Matt]

That's how we did it.

[Heath]

We did it as the groups. Instead of doing, like, two and two and two.

[Matt]

Right. That takes up time.

[Heath]

I also didn't want anybody to feel, like, uncomfortable that they have to go make up this dance move to go walk out.

[Mariah]

And then they're like.

[Heath]

They have to do, like, a bop or, like, a thing. And then, like, it always feels like I just. Yeah. I wanted everybody to just go as a group, not feel, like, the pressure of having the entrance.

[Zayn]

Thank you. Like, oh, yeah.

[Matt]

Yeah. It's. Yeah. That was considered literate. And then you guys entered and y'all went straight into first dance, right?

[Mariah]

Yes.

[Heath]

Yes. So you guys walked out to Space Jam.

[Zayn]

I didn't even notice it even. I didn't even, like.

[Matt]

Yes. That's what it was.

[Zayn]

These are the moments where you're the Only ones that are gonna like that are gonna worry about songs. Because I don't even remember.

[Mariah]

Right. Because when we were picking the songs with the dj, we were. There was moments where we were like, we don't know if we should do this song. And this song. He goes, listen, listen. In the moment you're not even gonna hear the music. Like half the people didn't even realize that the bridal party walked down to Greatest Showman for the ceremony. I did like a violin version of.

[Heath]

It for the ceremony.

[Mariah]

People who. Most of the people that were sitting in the audience, I guess you could call them, they were like, oh my gosh, this is so cool. But the bridal party was like I. You don't even realize.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Mariah]

He said that he was like, don't get hung up on the songs. Goes, pick a song that you like but don't get hung up on it. Cuz you're not even going to hear them in that moment.

[Matt]

Nobody.

[Mariah]

Yeah, it's one of those ones you.

[Matt]

Think everyone's going to focus on. And they. Yeah.

[Zayn]

Also the whole night it hit me that speeches wouldn't have even made sense in this setting.

[Mariah]

You're so right. I don't.

[Zayn]

You know what I mean? Like that would have. That would have honestly slowed it down by a hundred.

[Matt]

Oh yeah.

It was the perfect incline the whole night.

[Zayn]

Yeah. It was a party, party, party. Yeah.

And yalls interest was fantastic. Your dance, phenomenal. You know what? I. I didn't even realize until I saw the photos. They got like a fog machine underneath you guys.

No. Cuz where I was seated I couldn't. Well, I even think I was in my chair which like you know, I. It was, you know. Was I in my chair? I can't remember. But I couldn't see it until I saw the photos.

I wish it was like the low fog like around the ground.

Yeah. That looked really, really nice. The fog.

You would think in your head like oh, that could look cheesy. But it was.

It was the way that the DJ did the lighting with it. Like if it would have been like boom, spotlights. And like it lit the whole. It was like almost like no lights with just a very subtle light. Like showing the fog and then like.

On us and then the sparklers for the big moments of the song was like perfect.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Matt]

Oh, and I love that you guys actually played like the entire song too.

[Mariah]

I didn't realize. We did. And I was like wait, we actually did almost the entire Song.

[Heath]

The only thing we cut was, like, the very end. So we did Stephen Sanchez be more.

[Matt]

Yes.

[Heath]

And at the very end, it's like the super, super high pitch. Like, kind of like that whole thing. We, like, cut it right before that.

[Zayn]

No. Hate to Stephen. Baby, we love this.

[Heath]

We still. My favorite part of the song and honestly would have been the perfect, perfect part of the song to do, like, the big sparkler.

[Zayn]

Yeah.

[Heath]

Like that stuff. Yeah. But for the sake of everybody there, like the screaming high pitch, we're like, let's just keep it soft.

[Matt]

Yes.

[Heath]

Yeah.

[Zayn]

It was so crazy that you would have a whole dance, like, 45 minute party every time an appetizer came. So, like, a salad would come out. We eat our salad. All right, everybody get on the dance. For 45 minutes. I'm. I don't know, Like, I was beat.

[Heath]

Yeah.

[Zayn]

I was like, by that first session. I was like, guys, I. I can't do this anymore. I went outside to cool off for, like, 20 minutes. I was there out there for 20 minutes. That's when all the Florida people came out. It was Kenny, Amanda, and Bob. So we caught up when I was resting.

[Mariah]

That's nice.

[Zayn]

Yeah. We had the 954 people out there. That was nine, five four people.

[Matt]

Y'all's DJ was fantastic. It was the perfect mix of songs too, where I felt like I got to hop around to, like, all the best bits of my favorite songs, too.

Oh, my least favorite thing is when a big. A big dance circle happens. A big one. So there was multiple giant ones. And nobody's getting in. Keep going in. I was like, I'm. I'm tired. I'm done.

And 30 of the people were dancers. I'm like, hello, this is your time.

I could tell you didn't know what to do. You got caught out there for too long. So then you grabbed Ilya and threw him in. In like a. Yeah, wwe. Then he started teabagging him. I was like, get it.

It was so funny.

People shouldn't be shy on, like, wedding because everybody's on the same page. But, like, people need to see people getting in to get in. When it's, like, really empty, people get really nervous.

He was doing his little animal.

And I love the little. The balcony where you guys, like, went up. Yeah, we were.

We were finding the bathroom, and then we were like, o, there's this view. Let's look down. So there was a security guard sitting there all night to make sure nobody was going up there. But this was our room. So we went up, and our bridal tenant told the security guard, move. They're going there. So we stood there, and I was, like, waiting for people to notice. And then once one person noticed, everybody turned around. I'm like, this is one of the coolest moments of the night. And it wasn't even playing. That was one of my favorite moments.

Literally, everyone was like, A minor. And then you look up and hit them right at the top.

It was perfect because we were running up the stairs and we heard the song play, and I'm like, this was the one song that like we added, that's like today's hits. And I was like, this has to be played because it's like, it's so fun right now and everybody will sing along to it. As soon as we left and we started walking up the stairs and started playing, I'm like, no, this is the one I wanted to actually see. But we really had to go to the bathroom. So we went up and then we got there at the exact moment of A minor.

We were like, hey, Kendrick would have loved that scene.

And you would have loved DJ transitioning that song into a Drake song.

She was sleeping the whole time though, with like the headphones on.

So yeah, so we like, as soon as you got in, they had like the little like appetizer salad thing and then it was. Was like dance for like 45 minutes to an hour. And then it was the plated. Yeah. Meal.

I had my Shirley Temples, but they made the Shirley Temples. They looked like cocktails because they had an orange on it. And they said a lot of people were coming up, and they were being. They were like, I'll have what the bride's having. That looks good. And they're like, I don't think you're gonna want that. It's just a Shirley Templ. It was really funny.

One thing that I missed, the afterparty, the pizza truck. I know you guys talked about it. I talked about it, and I was like. It was. This was after the night end. I was like, the what pizza truck.

I didn't see had good passables that were coming around.

[Mariah]

Yeah, we had burger. We had a burger, like, slider station with, like, chicken sandwiches and burgers. And then there was the pizza truck outside. I didn't know there's an outside truck, but we got pizza brought to us.

[Heath]

They were, like, bringing in, like, whole pies, too, but, like, you can, like. We had the whole pizza truck pull up. That was, like, right there. Like, as soon as you. You know where the. It had, like, the outside patio where you could, like, walk out where, like, the heaters and stuff are. So that's where everybody was, like, grabbing the pizza. It was, like, right at the end of that. But we didn't get a chance to go get pizza either. And when we went up to the room, they had a full display of every single dessert arcade. Our. A slice of our cake, five boxes of pizza.

We were like, we heard you guys didn't get the pizza, so here's five boxes. I'm like, damn. So we stayed up all night eating.

When we got back to our room, we just sat there eating all the pizza, having every, like, one of every dessert. Did you try the jello shots?

I took one because I didn't know it was a jello shot. They handed it to me, and this is when the dessert came out. So I thought it was like, a little. I thought something like that was gonna happen. Maybe dry ice. I was like, oh, what is this? It basically was a little shot glass, and it had, like, these little ice cubes in it with, like, a cherry in the middle.

And I'm looking at it, and I'm like, oh, I wonder what they're Gonna fill with it. Like, what is this? So I said, what is it? And he said, it's a jello shot. And I'm looking at the ice cubes and I shake it. The ice cubes are jello.

They made jello shots that looked like ice cubes and they had cherries in it. So you like, oh, that's alcoholic. Yeah.

So at the end of the night when everybody was leaving, we were like, okay, let's just go take it for a spin real quick. Do like a little video, little send off thing like that. So I go get the keys because my brother had them. So we go outside. Everybody's filming, recording. The lights are on. Everybody's excited. We get into the same.

Is in full producer mode. Like, everybody move. You stand here, light flashlights on.

So we, we get into the car and I'm moving her dress because like, the guy was like when I booked, he's like, you drive stick, right? I'm like, yeah, yeah, we're good. Like, so I'm like, move. I'm trying to find the gear shift. I'm like, this is so weird. I couldn't figure it out. And then I looked. I only had two pedals. I'm like, okay, so it's not manual. So then I'm trying to get the car to start. And for like 10 minutes I cannot get this car to start. I'm getting like auxiliary power. Like, I see, like I could turn my lights on. The windshield wipers were spraying. What? Like, I just could not get the car to turn on. I'm sitting there, I'm cranking it and there's no sound being made. I'm like, what is going on? So I'm, like, looking and then. Then I go to, like, pump the gas as I'm cranking it to, like, push gas through the system. So I stomp the gas as I'm cranking it and the car jumps forward. All.

My mom is in front of my mom.

I almost ran his mom over.

It was very close.

Freaked at my. I was like, what? The car was electric motor swapped. So it was on the whole time.

So it had just been on the whole time and went dead.

People said the whole weekend, they kept going to, like, tap me. Like, especially at the pizza party the night before, they kept going to tap me, and it was my cousin. Every time they would turn around because, like, me and my cousins look exact. Like, those jeans are strong. We do look exactly alike. But it was funny.

My brothers walked my mom down the aisle, then they had to go around and walk the bridesmaids down. So that's what happened. But they said. They told me they're behind the scenes. They walked my mom down, and they were just gonna go down the aisle, Aisle. But at the ends of the aisles were all these plants and flowers, so they said they had to climb over all. They were, like, swimming through these plants. And then my brother said he finally got past the plants, but then he hit the string quartet, and he was like, holy. He had to, like, go through the string quartet.

When you were saying, like, it's difficult, make sure to, like, stay together the whole time. Great advice. We were. We did it the entire time that time. We didn't want to, like, lose each other and, like, get pulled in different directions. So we, like, made sure everything we did was, like, together when people were talking to us, whatever. So that was great. We got to experience the way wedding in the exact same way. The only thing that, like, it's not a regret, but I just. I wish we left the sweetheart table. We kind of got stuck there in, like, a meet and greet mode.

Yeah. I planned on hopping around from each table at one point, like, and saying hi to everyone.

[Matt]

You should do it while they're all eating because they'll stop for you.

That was the plan. But people in the middle of the meal were coming up and forming a line, and I was like, I couldn't even get to each table. We didn't even get to that whole side of the ballroom down.

And just having a little bit more control of social moments.

Yeah, I wanted to see the. Right. I wanted to see the bars in the corner because we had our rounds. We had our favors at the bars, like, the match books and stuff. I wanted to see that.

[Zayn]

I wish you got to see cocktail hour, like, that whole play. I wish you guys had gone. Process aesthetics.

[Mariah]

Yeah.

[Zayn]

[Matt]

In your video guy. You had a guy go around with a video camera in the mic interview filming. Did you watch all of them already?

[Zayn]

Oh, I forgot about that.

[Matt]

I did it twice. First time, though, I was a little, like. I was like. I didn't have that many drinks in me. And I'm like, I want to do this, like, later. And the guy was like, I'm not gonna be here later. Do it now. And I was like, okay, so me and Todd do it.

[Zayn]

Wait, Matt. I think he was saying that all night to get people to do it. Yes, because he was. He was doing that the whole night later.

[Matt]

And then me. Me and Patricia did it together, which I had a little bit more fun. But I was like, right after I did my first one, I was like, I didn't like that take, you know?

[Zayn]

You know what? I. That guy probably doesn't. He probably did it once and never did that. And he probably missed a lot of people. And now he's like, I'm gonna start.

[Mariah]

You know what? You're right.

[Zayn]

Yeah, I. People kept like, they would go up to certain people that I knew, and they're like, no, no, I don't want to do it. And then I tell, because it does look kind of like, you don't know what it's gonna look like. And I had to tell them, no, guys, this is gonna look really cool. It's like, it's kind of like vintage. Mariah's cutting everything. And they're like, oh, I'll do it perfect. I told him. I told everybody you were cutting it perfect. They're like, perfect. I'll do it.

[Mariah]

Me and Heath got to say, he came up to us last week. Before I go, do you guys want to go? And I accidentally made Heath cry because.

[Heath]

I'm not good on the spot.

[Mariah]

I'm not good with speeches. I'm not good with, like, saying what's on my brain. So I was like, I don't even know what to say. So I started talking to our future kids and he lost. I was like, hey, kids. Like, no.

[Zayn]

Oh, yeah, that would have got me too funny. Thank God I didn't hear that. I would have cried again.

[Heath]

Insane.

[Matt]

I love that.

[Zayn]

What'd you guys do the. The day after? Because after brunch, everybody left. We all hit our flights. What'd you guys do, like, for that final day?

[Heath]

So after brunch, we drove back to her parents house and my brother and his wife and kid ended up coming back to her parents house because they have family in literally a town. Town that's 10 minutes away from where her parents live. Oh, we just found that out. So we're like, oh, my gosh, if you're going there, come back with us. They hung out. We like, we had sheets, obviously.

[Zayn]

Oh, wait, the gas station.

[Heath]

So we had that. Just hung out at the house for a little while, and then they went to go see her family nearby and then kind of just chill.

[Mariah]

We just unpacked everything. We went.

[Heath]

Mentally unpacked.

[Mariah]

Yeah. We went through some of our guest books, book, like, postcards and stuff, and that was pretty much it. We had bacon, egg and cheeses.

[Zayn]

Disposable camera. There was a. There was one girl at the. At the venue. Oh, okay. I didn't know you guys knew her.

[Heath]

That's one of her good friends. Yeah.

[Zayn]

Okay. She kept on coming back to me, and she was like. She was like, any more disabled camera. She was going around and, like, working as a photographer, getting turned out so great all the.

[Matt]

I was like, damn, this is like a whole dump. I just want of all of these pictures. I'm so happy with all of them.

[Zayn]

Guys, when you have a wedding, make sure to have disposable cameras everywhere. You will not regret it.

[Mariah]

It is. It was.

[Zayn]

You get. And you get the feel of, like, a vintage. Like, all the pictures that, like, Max were taking mixed with that.

[Mariah]

Yeah, they turned out great.

[Zayn]

That was good.

[Heath]

No, we came home. So I had 21, and I think we're only missing, like, maybe five cameras. I don't know if some people might have taken them home, but we pretty much got absolutely all.

[Zayn]

Okay. Did you get the camera? The shots where you're up in the chairs?

[Heath]

Yes.

[Mariah]

Than.

[Zayn]

Thank God.

[Heath]

All right.

[Zayn]

That was. That was the camera I had.

[Mariah]

They're really cool. Yeah.

[Heath]

We posted 150 photos.

[Zayn]

Yes. Oh, my God. I was so worried about that.

[Mariah]

It was so many that I'm like, now we're waiting for our actual wedding photos, but I want to put. I posted them yesterday. I'm like, these disposables are too good to, like.

[Zayn]

I'm surprised you got them developed that quick.

[Matt]

I know. He's so fast.

[Heath]

Photo city right there in Studio City. John. He's unbelievable. I dropped them off. He had them all developed, scanned, and sent back to me. Every single camera in two hours.

[Mariah]

Wow.

[Heath]

He's unbelievable.

[Matt]

Damn.

[Zayn]

That's insane.

[Heath]

And then Max, our photographer, Max Montgomery, he sent us 2,000 photos.

[Zayn]

I cannot believe.

[Heath]

Next day, I thought he was going.

[Zayn]

To send, like, 300 pictures. Like, 300 solid pics.

[Heath]

And that's not even the film that he took. So he's getting all the film developed and everything right now.

[Zayn]

I can't wait to see them.

[Heath]

I'm really, really excited. Excited.

[Mariah]

That's the most overwhelming part of the whole wedding, is going through all the Pictures and videos.

[Heath]

Oh.

[Mariah]

Let me just say, because I saw a lot of comments. We did give everybody permission to post whenever, whatever they wanted.

[Matt]

Even the venue.

[Heath]

Everybody.

[Zayn]

But I liked what was going up first. It was just, like, very, like, it looked. It looked like People's magazine was there, like, sneaking content and pushing. And everyone's like, who is in?

[Matt]

David was like, the first. David was like, boom. All right.

[Heath]

He immediately came up to us at the wedding, was like, is it okay if I post early? Like, can I do. Do you want me to, like, wait? And we're like, no. We told everybody, like, feel free to post. Like, we didn't. We don't care if, you know, people see, like, stuff before us. Like, it doesn't.

[Matt]

Yeah, doesn't.

[Mariah]

That was, like, the least of my worries that day.

[Zayn]

Just don't. Don't tag Pleasant Dale Chateau yet.

[Heath]

Why?

[Zayn]

Because everybody will. Just people just. Just showing up.

[Matt]

Oh, my God.

Our anniversary is.

Y'all are doing honeymoon later.

Because right now the Italian jubilee is happening.

[Heath]

Well, it's for the whole year. Year. So we still want to do it this year, but we're gonna wait, like, six months for it to, like, warm up and, like, have better even.

[Zayn]

If the Italian jubilee is happening. Do it. It's gonna make it exciting.

[Heath]

I know.

[Mariah]

I think it'll be fun. We've already been to Rome too. That's probably gonna be a hot spot. So we don't have to go there.

[Matt]

But go to some, like.

[Mariah]

We'll figure it out.

[Matt]

Cuter or tamer places.

[Zayn]

Guys, we're gonna have so much fun on this trip.

[Mariah]

I can't wait. Are you excited?

I know he's making a joke, but, like, right when that came out of your mouth. But I was just like, you are not going well.

Yeah.

You guys are gonna need security. You know, we're gonna need a photographer.
