Cap apply My post wedding comed out and is finally hitting me.
Zane
Yeah, I realized that I. Because I've been eating really bad for the past week and a half. I think it's affecting, like, my, like, I'm, like, swirling right now.
Jordan
Yeah, my appetite has been horrible. And I think it's just. I'm not just saying this. I think I'm having East coast food withdrawals. Like, I swear, when I have hot matzo, how much do I eat? More on the east coast than here.
Heath
Yeah, it's. It is completely different.
Jordan
It's very hard for me to have, like, one meal a day here. It's like pulling teeth. I'm like, oh, yeah, I gotta freaking eat on the east Coast. I'm like, what's for breakfast? What's for lunch? What's for dinner?
Zane
Yeah, she's having it right now. Withdrawals. She's salivating thinking about the food.
Jordan
Oh, like, I do get it, though.
Zane
It's different out there. I get it. I get why you, like, miss that side so much. I miss it already.
Jordan
And I don't want to go back afterwards. I don't feel I want to.
Zane
Like, I mean, none of your cousins from are for me, but, like, I want to marry into the family. I don't know how.
Jordan
Adoption, maybe.
Zane
My mom.
Heath
I did have have that thought. I was like, technically, if your mom ended up with Uncle David.
Jordan
Wait, we thought about that Christmas with Zane.
Heath
True.
Zane
It might be Uncle James now we've moved on to Uncle James. Sorry, Dave.
Jordan
Uncle James is more practical because they live in the same state, so I.
Zane
Must have heard you wrong. I told my mom already. I sent him pictures. She's like, oh, why didn't he. Why didn't he come up to me at the wedding? I was like, mom, nobody came up to anybody at the wedding.
Heath
I don't think everybody was in their own zone.
Jordan
He asked about her the same second you guys left the property. He goes, well, where's Zayn's mom? I'm like, we've been here for three days. You're asking.
Zane
I told My mom. Hey, you're gonna like this. He lives in Miami.
Jordan
And I was like, no way.
Heath
But does not live in Miami.
Zane
No, it does not live in Miami. And I'm too scared to tell her. I was like, you better tell her.
Jordan
No, you didn't tell her.
Zane
I didn't tell her.
Jordan
Z goes, this is you a fool. I'm like, I can't spread misinformation.
Zane
I swear to God. You said my. Like, I don't know where Miami came from. I heard Miami.
Jordan
We had a whole conversation.
Heath
Wanted to hear Miami.
Jordan
Yeah.
Zane
No, you.
Jordan
Because remember you and Heath were talking.
Heath
About the Villages in Orlando's friendliest hometown.
Zane
I've never heard of the Villages.
Heath
Oh, it's literally the friendliest hometown in.
Zane
In Orlando.
Jordan
I thought you guys had whole commercials for it.
Zane
Yeah, I've never heard of village.
Matt
There's no way you haven't heard of it. The old people world.
Zane
No.
Heath
This place is bigger than Manhattan. It's a retirement community.
Zane
No, wait. Manhattan, like the whole island.
Jordan
You heard it. You heard it, right?
Zane
You're lying. That's not the Villages. I don't. There's no. I would have heard about it.
Heath
57 square miles.
Zane
There'S a town full of old people like that. And I didn't know about this.
Jordan
I think it's 55 and over, right?
Heath
Yes. Zane, he has their own fire departments. They have their own house on like everything.
Zane
Oh, are the staff old too? Just everyone's old. Everyone's just moving slow as molasses.
Heath
They have multiple golf course.
Zane
Like, it's 55 is not that old. My mom's 59. I don't see her like living in the Villages.
Jordan
Well, a lot of they're not like, they're retirement communities, so like you could retire at in your 50s. So it's like 55 plus is a pretty popular.
Heath
It's where like they have everything you would need right there. It's very accessible for you. Like if you wanted like they have the like Publix everywhere. There's like, it has everything right there so you don't have to leave.
Zane
Is the town. Is this. Is this a town you could see your guys self like living at when.
Jordan
You'Re like, oh, no, no, no, no.
Heath
No, no, no, no. I used to want to when I was a kid. The commercials made it look so fun.
Jordan
They made it look like an amusement park, right?
Heath
Yeah, there's.
Zane
There's like, I can't believe you.
Heath
Pickleball court.
Jordan
I didn't. He just educated me on it. When I told When I told him my uncle was moving to this place called the Villages, he goes, no, the Villages. I'm like, I guess I'm not gonna.
Zane
Tell my mom that, cuz she might. She. Because my mom's trying to stay young, you know. Okay, all right, Ma. At the wedding, she's like, why don't you have me on another podcast episode? I was like, I didn't know you wanted to be on another podcast.
Jordan
She was getting pulled in a lot of directions of. I barely saw her. She was hanging. She was making so many friends.
Zane
I know. I was worried about her and Hidaya both being there, but they were both.
Heath
She was making out.
Jordan
They were like one guy.
Zane
Yeah. Who's Uncle David?
Heath
Balcony. All right, should we jump into it? Get it rocking? All right, Jordy.
Zane
You got it, Jordan.
Heath
Awesome.
Zane
Welcome back to Zane and Heath Unfiltered. I am your amazing, incredible, most handsome, skinniest host out there. My name is in.
Heath
How we doing, guys? I'm Heath.
Matt
Jordan.
Zane
Jordan.
Jordan
I'm Jordan.
Heath
Matt is out of town right now, so we unfortunately weren't able to record with him.
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
So we have Jordan thankfully filling in today. Everybody. Say thank you, Jordy.
Zane
And say thank you to Jordan for being here today.
Matt
Thank you, everyone.
Zane
Are you wearing Mountain Dew Blaha Blast socks?
Matt
I am.
Zane
That's freaking awesome. I wish I had a pair. Damn. Are those vintage or you got those like.
Matt
Someone mailed them to me. My friend mailed them to me.
Jordan
Oh, that's a really cool.
Zane
That's really cool. And is that like. That's a pineapple tree on the top of it? Yeah, that's vintage. That's sick. I want one.
Matt
Thank you. I appreciate that.
Zane
Right?
Jordan
I want to see how old they are. Here they go.
Zane
Oh, my God. Seven to $10, typically. Mariah, you know what to get.
Jordan
Oh, my gosh. Those are really cool.
Zane
Those are cool.
Matt
I gotta support my favorite beverage. They just came out with a new one.
Heath
With a new one.
Jordan
New flavor purple, like your whole outfit.
Matt
It is. It's like.
Jordan
Is that why you're wearing.
Matt
I'm just a big Taco Bell NASCAR ad. No, it's like Taco Bell, Taco Bell Dark Baja Blast or something like that.
Zane
A Dark Baja Blast.
Matt
Didn't Alicia go to the Taco Bell Fest or something?
Zane
I think they did a year or two ago. Yeah, they just did it. That's so cool. I've, like, imagine being able to like, see like the new menu, like, come out or.
Heath
Matt was just at the. Yeah, the press conference for Taco Bell.
Zane
Exactly.
Heath
New item release, stuff like that.
Jordan
It's cool.
Zane
Speaking of item release, we're about to do something for Habit Burger.
Heath
Yes, we are.
Zane
Yes. Next week we're gonna be actually going live on this channel, which is crazy because we've never gone live on this channel, but we're gonna go live on this channel, and we're gonna. We just have a surprise for you that we're gonna do with a Habit.
Heath
There's something very exciting and we're very excited to share with you guys. It's going to be sick. And then there's something coming after that which is, like, even more exciting, which you guys will see, obviously, as well. We can't give anything away. You know, we're under, like, NZA stuff.
Zane
Yeah. It's like, top secret stuff. I really understand. But we are. But we'll give you guys details, honestly, like in the description. Yeah.
Heath
Yes.
Zane
In the description box below, we'll let you know the time and the day that we are gonna go live. And just make sure you're there when we go live. We're gonna be.
Heath
We're gonna be cooking something up y.
Zane
Our first tour day, you should say. It's a little in the kitchen. It's gonna be fun, though. So make sure to go.
Heath
Yes. Make sure to tune in.
Zane
Yeah. Details will be in the description.
Jordan
But anyways, Habit has a special place in my heart because it really does. One of my favorite memories of my cousins coming to la. They surprised me in a Habit restaurant. I was just sitting there with my sister because she came to visit, and then in comes, like, three of my cousins. I was like, what? So every time we pass that habit, I'm like, that's the habit.
Zane
Which one?
Heath
By our old apartment.
Zane
Oh, no way. Oh, my God. Oh, nice. We all have a story.
Heath
I would walk to that Habit Burger at least once a week.
Zane
And you know what? They've. They've gotten better throughout the years.
Jordan
They Santa Barbara Char.
Zane
You kidding me? Just wait till you see what they having. What they have coming. I don't know.
Jordan
They didn't even say this. I know nothing we're not allowed to say.
Zane
Oh, yeah.
Jordan
Big things coming. Coming.
Heath
Jordan. Jordan would have a. Jordan would be on Reddit. Y'all not gonna believe the new item coming. No, I have the inside, too.
Zane
No, no. We don't trust anybody in these walls. These four. Absolutely not.
Matt
Y'all won't just give us a taste?
Zane
Not. Nope. You gotta be there. You got to be there when we announce it. Sorry.
Heath
You'll see it when you see it.
Zane
But what do we do? Oh, we just got back from a little RV trip.
Heath
Yes, we did.
Zane
With Alicia and Remy. That was a lot of fun.
Heath
There's something about an RV that I just enjoy so much. Just feels like a family vacation. Whoever you're with. And it just has like a, a special place in my heart. I don't know if it's cuz I did it for like tfil so much. And I was always in an rv. And just like the whole travel experience of being in a motorhome is so cool. You just get up and walk to the bathroom.
Jordan
You can go shower you.
Heath
Yeah.
Jordan
And we got a small one. We didn't get like one of those big double decker. What is it, 50 foot?
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
I'm pissed we didn't because I, I rented the 25 foot RV because we were supposed to go up into Big Sur.
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
And there's like length restrictions for.
Zane
Because of the turns up in the mountains, which I'm glad we didn't do anyway. I freak. I freak out. Even a regular car. I hate driving.
Heath
Like I found out that that road was closed and we couldn't even do it. Like going up. We had to go around the backside. And by the time we went and cut back down to get to it, I was like, yeah, but we could have got one of the really big ones.
Zane
Damn.
Heath
But.
Zane
But I feel like that would have been a little bit more stressful driving like a really big one with all those turns and those sizes we got was perfect. I was honestly a little worried about just like comfort in just like those small RVs. But it was really, really comfy. Everybody had their own, like, space. Everybody had their own bed.
Jordan
Six of us in there. Laying out.
Zane
Yeah, laying out pretty much.
Jordan
That's pretty impressive. And it was a 25 footer.
Zane
Yeah, it was really nice.
Jordan
Heath drove there, you and Cal drove there. And on the way back, Heath was driving and he started to get tired. But I looked back and Cal was sleeping and I was like, okay, I don't want to wake him up. And I was like, I got it from like you relax. I got it from here. So I, I started. I think it was maybe Jordan. Guess how long I drove for? I really took one for the team.
Matt
10 minutes.
Heath
Yep.
Jordan
Close. Like 25 out of the five hours. It was a five hour trip. Like a five and a half hour trip. I thought I was going to be. I was like, I'll just finish it. 25 minutes. I'm like, I'm literally falling asleep.
Matt
I look.
Heath
I look over.
Zane
Jesus.
Jordan
And then I made sure. I was like, let's just pull over to a gas station so that you know when you're sleeping in a car and you feel. Feel the shift of, like, you're slowing down and it wakes you up? Yeah. I was like, let's just do that so that he wakes up. So Cal woke up, and he goes, everything okay? No, yeah, no, we're good. We're just. I think we're gonna think about switching. And he goes, right. Like, you don't have to drive. Like, I'll take over. I'm like, you sure?
Zane
Very good. I caught that, too.
Jordan
I was like.
Zane
Right.
Jordan
He finished it. I was like, thank you. Meanwhile, he's a broken foot. He's taking the boot off his boot. His.
Heath
Boo. He stepped out. We were getting, like, this, like, really funny shot of us looking like we're broke down. It was like this, like, plan that we had where we're, like, hitchhiking, you know, the engines opened up. Cal stepped out. First step into mud. His whole boot.
Zane
That was. No, it was terrible. And we were like, maybe we were, like, three hours away from home, and we're like, damn it.
Matt
Did you guys put him in the shower in the rv?
Zane
No, we just cleaned up with wipes and. But, like, we felt really bad because that's his. Like that. That's his foot. You know what I mean?
Jordan
But I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what. He does not have, like, a disappointed bone in his body. He was just like, hey, guys, be careful getting out. I just stepped in mud.
Zane
Yeah, but wait.
Jordan
He's, like, knee deep.
Heath
Yeah, he's in quicksand. Sinking. Guys, you don't want to walk over here.
Jordan
The calmest person I.
Zane
Right, me. I would have been like, damn it. The trip is.
Jordan
The trip would have been over for me. I would have Ubered.
Zane
Yeah. I would have been like, I'm good. You guys go. I'm going to Uber out of here. I can't.
Heath
Yeah, he was very positive.
Zane
It was really nice. And I love the ride up there, because we got to. You were driving, so you. You weren't there.
Jordan
You didn't have a bed, right?
Zane
Yeah, yeah, we. We turned that. We turned that. Our little. Our little bench and table into a bed.
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
And we all got to, like, sit there. So one person was up there while the three were. And three on the. On the. On the bed. And we're all watching Pirates of the Caribbean. The first one.
Heath
Oh, no. I heard it.
Zane
It felt it.
Jordan
Was loud.
Heath
It was.
Zane
Oh, it was loud up there.
Heath
I was like, what are we, in a IMAX movie theater? It was.
Jordan
It was really loud.
Matt
But you got to get used to that. You got. I used to listen to your kids listen to and three.
Heath
Couldn't hear myself think it was so loud.
Jordan
Yeah, that was wild.
Heath
It was unbelievable.
Zane
Why didn't you say anything?
Heath
I. I was. You guys couldn't hear me.
Zane
Oh, well, you. Well, you need to say it again. You should have called me.
Heath
No, nothing. Nothing makes me more mad because if you guys were genuinely enjoying the movie on full blast like that, I'd be okay. I'm driving. I look back, you guys are like this.
Zane
He don't even.
Heath
I was on your phone. Nobody watching.
Zane
I was watching the movie.
Heath
Nobody watched it.
Zane
I must have been texting at that moment because I was watching it. I love that movie.
Matt
As. As the rv. Dad, when you were listening to the movie, were you watching it? You know, were you having.
Heath
Oh, I was picturing the whole thing.
Matt
You were having a dad. Like a. Okay. They're on that part thinking that.
Heath
I feel so bad because every road trip, me and my brother would watch Talladega Nights every time we got into the car. And my dad. I don't think my dad's ever seen the movie, but he can fully quote it because he heard it from the back seat so many times.
Zane
But to be fair, guy, to be fair, our speakers, because they weren't working as well as yours, we had to put it up all the way because that's.
Heath
Oh, they were blasting through the front.
Zane
So I think yours were working 100. So you had to hear the full. But we had to turn it up all the way just for us to hear the movie.
Heath
I also didn't realize how many sword fight scenes there are. It was. I'm like, it was non stop.
Zane
I know you already heard the whole movie already, so I'm sure you don't want to watch it now, but my God, that. That movie still stands still holds up. Like every scene where you turn to each other and go, this entire movie needs an Oscar. Like, how does movie not have an Oscar?
Heath
Like, this movie is amazing.
Zane
Like, every scene, you're sitting there like, they don't make them like this anymore.
Jordan
Even.
Heath
Even the cgi.
Zane
It's.
Heath
It's Guy.
Zane
It's good.
Jordan
It's really good.
Heath
That was better than the octopus we saw at the aquarium. I'm not joking.
Jordan
Don't even get me.
Zane
Don't even give me. Sort of.
Heath
Before we continue, we want to give a big thank you to our sponsor of this podcast, Seatgeek.

Heath
Thank you so much, SeatGeek, for sponsoring this podcast. We love you.
Jordan
Wait, I thought it was also really fun that. I don't know if it was fun from for you guys, but I was sitting on the bed up top. It was kind of a bunk bed situation. I was sitting up there, but me, Zayn, and Alicia, we all had our computers out at one point, and it was like an office on wheels. Zayn was doing the thumbnail. I was editing the podcast. Alicia was editing the vlog. Like, we were just all locked in, in silence. And I looked down, I was like, damn, this is cool.
Zane
I looked on the road, out of every trip. I'm sure you're having the most fun on this one because we're all, like, literally sitting here doing. Doing what you're doing.
Jordan
Yeah, because usually I try not to go on trips because, like, I don't want to be the one that has to, like, be working while everybody's, like, trying to make plans and stuff. And I'm just like. Because I'm really okay with, like, just working and you guys do it, but you guys feel bad. It did feel really good that everybody was locked into, like, work for the next few hours.
Matt
Did it feel good working out of the rv?
Jordan
It did.
Heath
And it was more bumpy than it was.
Jordan
The bumpiness was A little hard.
Matt
Could you have like a drink and your computer?
Jordan
Wait, hold on.
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
It's a full blown apartment. Everything you could ever imagine. One cup holder in the entire thing.
Zane
None.
Jordan
Jordan. We had utensils.
Zane
There was a stove, microwave, tv, flat screen. We can open it and there's free thing.
Matt
Okay. Because that's. I'm just imagining the cup doing.
Jordan
No, I was getting creative. I was getting creative. I had. I had it in between my mattress. Like, I'm squeezing.
Zane
Yeah. We were using the cushions to hold our drinks. And I'm like, no cup holders. There's no way they were building this out. And they're like, no cup holders. They definitely forgot it. They finished it and they're like, we forgot.
Heath
They're looking at it. They're like, something's.
Zane
Something's missing.
Heath
I can't figure out what it is.
Zane
It's like, it's like the G Wagon. They have everything in that car except for a cup holder.
Heath
That was bad.
Jordan
There's got to be a reason. There's got to be something.
Heath
No, not a new, new G Wagon. Does they do one that was like running for however long?
Jordan
I think Zayn literally got rid of his because it was just like, you couldn't see.
Heath
There was one and it was on the passenger side footwell. You had to reach over and it wasn't a cup holder, it was a net. It was a mesh net.
Zane
So the drink would go like this.
Heath
So it's just. It's just like a bag that was like by the passenger foot.
Matt
That's crazy.
Heath
It was. It was really bad.
Zane
If you, if you spending that much money on a car, you better have a cup holder in it.
Heath
Jordan. That's it.
Zane
Yeah, that's it.
Matt
That's not a basketball.
Heath
Yeah.
Jordan
We could play around the world.
Zane
Just.
Jordan
Like a crumbled receipt.
Zane
Yeah.
Jordan
Playing pig.
Zane
Yeah. Sorry, officer. I was just playing hoops, Officer.
Jordan
Your honor. I was playing horse.
Zane
Right at the red light camera.
Matt
So the Mercedes G Class, people never walked into a Corolla or any normal car.
Jordan
What car do we think has the most cup holders?
Heath
Minivans. They have 57 minivans.
Jordan
Yeah. Because every seat has one.
Heath
I'm going to guess the Kia Carnival number one.
Jordan
Wow, there's a top 10.
Heath
Oh, what do we got?
Jordan
Infinity QX 80, 13.
Zane
Wait. One, two.
Jordan
Think of the doors.
Zane
3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.
Jordan
The doors a lot. That's a lot. You have the. Then you have the center console that.
Zane
Goes down and you know those ones where it's in Front of the second row of seats. Mariah. You press it and it goes.
Jordan
Yes.
Zane
Like that.
Jordan
Lincoln Navigator hidden cup holder. Lincoln Navigator is one of my mom mom dream cars.
Zane
That's a mafia car for sure.
Jordan
Toyota Tacoma 13. That's surprising because it's only two rows.
Zane
That's a truck tooth. That's only two rows.
Jordan
Nissan Pathfinder 14 in this.
Heath
We're getting up there.
Jordan
Nissan Titan XD 14. That's another truck which is very surprising. Ford Expedition 15.
Heath
Where's that odd number coming from though?
Jordan
That's so true.
Zane
Well, the three.
Jordan
Did you say Honda Odyssey or you.
Heath
Said Town Carnival was my number one.
Zane
Oh, wait, you guys are forgetting the doors.
Jordan
I told.
Zane
They nor have. They'll have two in those.
Jordan
Volkswagen Atlas 17. This is CR.
Zane
What is it going to happen Fit that many people?
Jordan
I got to get to the end.
Heath
Every one of them.
Jordan
Okay. A whopping 19. Jordan Subaru.
Zane
Wow.
Jordan
Jordan Subaru ascent scent is 19 cup holders.
Matt
But I'm just not understanding the ratio because it's like seven people in that car. Everyone's having two. It says it Two cups per passenger.
Zane
Two cups per passenger.
Matt
What are we doing?
Heath
I. I use. I use mine up front in the door and then I also flip my back seat one down and I'm putting stuff back there.
Jordan
Oh yeah.
Zane
You going to have to stop that now. That thing is going to move the whole pocket.
Heath
I forgot that we're there.
Zane
Just grab it and hold the cell. Yeah.
Matt
Such an interesting ratio. It's like a house that's like, you know, five bedroom, five bedrooms, two baths. But this is 17 cup holders.
Zane
Five bedrooms, two.
Matt
Five seats.
Heath
No. Zane, have you seen the Kia Carnival back seat?
Matt
Can we see it?
Heath
They.
Zane
The Carnival Cruise.
Heath
That's where they go out like this and you can go like that.
Zane
Stop. It's like a mint seat.
Heath
Yes.
Zane
I love this.
Matt
What?
Heath
Let's go.
Zane
I want cars to start making them like where you're facing the passenger. Like if I don't want two rows, it's. We're all looking at each other like the back of each other's heads. It's not fun. It's not a good experience and nobody likes it.
Heath
You want to be able to turn the seats backwards.
Zane
Just turn it around and everyone's gonna have a fantastic time.
Jordan
Some of the vans have that they. I think the middle row swivels.
Zane
Yeah. Just do it for every vehicle. I'm sure if you do a survey.
Heath
90, I would turn around.
Zane
People are gonna be are gonna want that type that style in the car. There was once road trips 1.
Heath
I forget what kind of car it is, but it was like an older kind of like sedan. The back seat you opened up and it had a full L shaped couch that ran the side and wrapped like.
Zane
Are you sure they didn't like just throw it in there? It wasn't.
Heath
No, it came from factory like that. Like you walk in and you like can scoot around. Like a, like a booth.
Matt
Like a limo.
Heath
Like a corner boot. Yeah, almost like a limo.
Zane
Yeah, that's pretty much a booth, dude.
Heath
Really, really cool.
Zane
Mariah. He was looking at that.
Heath
That's it.
Zane
Wait, that's sick.
Heath
I want that.
Zane
Oh my. That is the coolest thing I think I've ever seen. Wait, hold on. So the driver. How does the driver.
Heath
Driver stays forward.
Zane
Oh, oh, I see.
Heath
The passenger can turn around and that whole thing is a. Wait, that's kind of that.
Zane
Wait. The driver looking forward and the passenger looking back. And you, you seen the driver? Like, this is pretty cool.
Jordan
Even in the trunk there'd be seats just facing the backwards.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
Yeah. I love it. And then they were like planning because everybody was going to like tailgate. So the, the back would lift up and there would be seats back there that you would just like sit in.
Zane
Right. It's like you're at the Oscars. So fucking fancy.
Jordan
This is sick.
Zane
That's sick. Come on.
Matt
I'm confused on like how this went out of fashion. Like what?
Jordan
It's got to be a safe safety thing. Yeah, I think so.
Zane
Yeah. 100.
Heath
Imagine getting rear ended.
Jordan
Jordan. Jordan. That's where flat Stanley came from.
Heath
Wait, what?
Jordan
Kidding. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. This is the origin of flat Stanley.
Zane
Fact check.
Jordan
Getting hit sideways in the trunk. Like just your.
Zane
Your.
Jordan
Your ribs. Just my.
Heath
My grandpa had a truck that had the sideways seats in the back.
Jordan
That's cool.
Heath
And it was. It was like a little jumper seat that would like fold out. So like here's the driver's seat facing this way. You're behind it, just sitting like sideways facing each other.
Jordan
Say it with me.
Matt
It was a different time and that was.
Zane
It was a good. I like, this was a good time. This was a good time.
Jordan
And this cars had. These cars had no seat belts. These station wagons.
Zane
Yeah.
Jordan
It's kind of cool.
Zane
I could smell that leather. Oh my God. Like my grand. My grandpa in Lebanon had a car and it was like red velvet seats. It was beautiful. It smelled like cologne and cigarettes. It was a perfect combo of smell. And I can't smell it right now. Oh my God.
Jordan
Yeah. Plush carpet of an old car.
Heath
But they used to make cars that felt like super luxurious. Like it, they were like, it felt.
Jordan
Like a living room.
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
Like, the seats were like an actual, like sofa.
Zane
Yes.
Matt
Do you remember the blue interior? Like blue carpet interior.
Zane
Yes.
Heath
That was huge.
Matt
Loved that. I wish that never ended. That's what I mean. Like the new waves and how things change. Like, kind of hate like my car fake carbon fiber, like what they try to do.
Heath
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know.
Matt
I wish they went full in on.
Zane
This because you just have to custom.
Heath
Make it like Aztec patterns on like the floor mats.
Zane
But it's just crazy. Imagine back then just like going to a dealership and all the cars like that.
Heath
My favorite thing is to see pictures of new dealerships from the 70s, like film photos.
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
And it's just like the showroom is full of these colors when they were brand new. It's just like such a cool, nostalgic look. Mm. Before we continue, we want to give a big thank you to our next sponsor of this podcast, Stash.

Thank you so much, Stash for sponsoring this podcast. We love you.
Matt
It's not just cars. Like, I think that like goes throughout your whole life. People struggle with that.
Heath
Especially with like homes. Everything is just like, oh yeah, white.
Matt
Because it's sometimes what color?
Zane
Yellow.
Heath
You're. The whole outside is yellow.
Zane
Yeah, he loves it. He. For some reason, he's the only house. It's like mustard. No, but it's not like, vintage.
Heath
Like, it's like Dijon.
Zane
It's like you look at her like, damn. Like, you don't need to have the color house like that. It. Just. Because it doesn't. He doesn't complement the yellow with anything. Like, it doesn't. It doesn't complement each other well.
Jordan
It's just like one of these.
Zane
Yeah, no, right on the left. On the left. You're driving by. I'm like, oh, damn. It just doesn't make sense. And the grass is all dead. I'm a bubba. You. You gotta. Let's. Let's fix this grass before you paint this house yellow. You know what I mean? But that's exactly what it looks like.
Jordan
It just very yellow.
Zane
It's just too yellow. There's a way to make it yellow and make it nice.
Heath
If you're by the beach, that's the only time that's acceptable.
Zane
Yes. And it has to be a light yellow like that. Not a dark yellow.
Matt
Or if you're filming, like, a Disney Channel show.
Zane
Yeah, yeah, yeah, pretty much.
Jordan
Jordan, didn't you say your house in Florida, didn't they let you and your brother pick the colors of the walls? And they just went with it. It's like orange yellow. It's really cool. Like, I wouldn't even color.
Zane
It is.
Jordan
I just be like, yeah, my kids picked the color. It's, like, kind of fun.
Zane
I like that.
Matt
We did a pretty decent job.
Jordan
It matches the vibe of the house, definitely. Like, it's not like a neon green or anything.
Heath
Your exterior is like a coral, Right? Like a salmon.
Matt
The house used to be bright pink. Like, it was an 80s bright.
Jordan
That is fl.
Zane
I love that.
Matt
It's just funny because I remember the switch in everyone's head. Like, we went outside, everybody, and everyone.
Jordan
Was like.
Matt
I. I liked it. I like, I never got over it. But the. All the adults and my grandparents realized, like, why did we do that?
Zane
Because we love our kids. That's why.
Jordan
I love, like, 80s Miami interior. It is.
Zane
Do you, like, like, fountain blue? Do you like that?
Jordan
Like, the new fountain blue?
Zane
I know one in Miami. Have you ever been to the one in Miami? It's.
Heath
We have.
Zane
That one's, like, kind of Miami, but it's like. And it is. It is old school, but I like tacky.
Jordan
Like, I like pink and baby blue.
Heath
Miami Vice.
Jordan
And like, black. Like, tables. Like, black coffee tables.
Matt
They're like piano. Yes.
Zane
Okay. Okay.
Jordan
That is freaking sick with the. You have it in your bathroom. The glass blocks.
Matt
Oh, yes. They overused those glass blocks.
Heath
Oh, yeah.
Matt
The whole side of the house is.
Zane
Just my whole shower. All the shower was the big thing. Big Mariah. Like that.
Jordan
Okay. There's the black. See that black floor?
Heath
Love.
Zane
I love that. How does it feel being pretty much exactly a year away from possibly being in a different state?
Heath
It's crazy that we've already been married two weeks now. Almost.
Zane
Another week passed by already.
Jordan
This Sunday would be two weeks in two. Two days, Friday right now.
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
Do you feel any different? Do you feel two weeks married? Do you feel all your dreams coming true?
Matt
Yes.
Heath
Yes.
Zane
This is all I freaking wanted.
Jordan
Was this all I want?
Heath
It's crazy. And. Well, it's weird now that we have to be like, okay, we have to, like, really start looking.
Zane
Exactly. Because it could take, like, you know, it could take a full year to, like, find the perfect house.
Jordan
Right.
Heath
And also, we're trying to figure out too, like, we've been looking a little bit, and there's nothing that's, like, really caught our eye that we're like, okay, we're gonna pull the trigger on this. So then we were also thinking about, like, building. And building can take, you know, over a year. And then I was like, oh, well, maybe if, you know, we have something where we end up building a guest house, maybe we start with a guest house. That way we can, like, move into the guest house and, like, live there while the rest of the house is being finished.
Zane
But you just never build the rest. You're like, this is good.
Matt
The pictures of you guys building your house from living in your guest house. And then your kids see that.
Jordan
I know.
Zane
Yeah.
Jordan
When my parents built our house in Pennsylvania, like, I would look at those pictures all the time. Like, when the found. When they put the basement in first, the foundation, the blueprints, like, everything was really cool to see. We have a picture of, like, them when they bought the property. And it was just a cornfield. Like, it's crazy.
Matt
That's the whole culture for the household.
Jordan
Yeah.
Matt
My whole life in our living room is just a picture of my grandpa.
Heath
Holding a wheelbarrow and a shovel.
Jordan
I love that picture.
Zane
It's like, we built this house vintage.
Matt
I love that it sets. And, like, looking at that every day and buying the Sims 1 and 2 was just like. Like, I can't wait.
Zane
I love the passion.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
I can't wait to build the house.
Jordan
Yeah. It was such a. I know. I think there's something so special about it, really Is building the house how.
Zane
Important are neighbor to you when you looking for a house? You see me if I knew that like I was looking for a house to start a family and a half kids before I even think about buying this house I'm knocking on the neighbor's houses. I want to make sure every neighbor around me is someone I picture I like this neighbor or like because I feel like that for me that's really because I, I like then Zane, you're.
Jordan
Never going to find out.
Zane
No, no, look, look I'm not saying they all need to be perfect but I think it's I get what you're saying. Like at my mom's house I made friends with like all the neighbors that I feel like that was a defining part of my childhood. It was like really like it's hard for your parents to like drive I I, I it's times are different.
Heath
You want to be able to like go play with your neighbor next door and hang out like skateboard on the.
Zane
Side but it's different now. Now parents drive their kids to other friends houses all the time but back then nobody did that like you had to find friends.
Jordan
If you're moving into a neighborhood there are going to be families because like if you don't really have kids I don't think you have like a need to be in a neighborhood with other people. You probably want to be a little secluded if you're an empty nester or whatever and if you're living in a neighborhood you most likely are living there because there's like a good school nearby and like they're thinking about their kids too. So I think no matter what neighborhood you move into there's going to be kids for your kids to play with. Yeah. People that are like around your age. Like everywhere we live like there was people our age all the time remember.
Zane
That was like really important.
Matt
For a long time my house was like we had the Christmas party and just one I think four years after like a four year streak just every neighbor just starts having their own Christmas party. Oh no competition on every angle just and it's like they used to come to ours so now it's like now.
Heath
They'Re trying to pull your guests.
Matt
Our guests are crossing the street. It's like getting drinks from both places coming back. My grandparents are over there over here.
Zane
Or they'll find out they'll find out that you're having Christmas or you do the Christmas party they'll do one the day before right. And they'll make sure it's Ginormous. So the next day they're like, oh, yeah. Oh, no. We had just had a great Christmas party last night. Yours will be fun, though.
Matt
I will.
Zane
This would be great.
Matt
One of our neighbors did have a Hanukkah party one year.
Jordan
That stands out.
Matt
It blew away every Christmas party.
Heath
We really.
Zane
I mean, they had that Hanukkah bush.
Matt
No, they bought the entire temple from the stop sign. I live on a cul de sac. So from the stop sign, it was a huge parade down the street. They blasted shirts like T shirt cannons and gave everyone on the street.
Jordan
That was like a Diker Heights. Remember, they were shooting the T shirts.
Zane
I don't think I've ever seen a Hanukkah parade.
Matt
Well, this was like five houses. Like, it was private party. But it. I mean, they. It was Hanukkah, man. It was going.
Zane
If they don't have them, make them. Make your own.
Heath
There. There is something cool about a cul de sac, though, where you, like, block the entrance and you. Everybody's just, like, on the street. Like, she would say, like, they would rent carnival games.
Jordan
Yeah. And like, carnival on Staten Island. Like, all our birthday parties, we had a really tiny backyard. The yard was probably the size of this room. We would. There's videos. We would fit a hundred, two hundred people there for our birthdays. Half the people would be in the street. And then we would rent, you know, like, the rides. It's usually a pirate ship that you sit in and get the.
Heath
In the street.
Jordan
Ours was. Ours was called King Kong.
Zane
No way.
Jordan
And we would rent that. And then we would also rent the whip, where you sit in the little carts and it whips around the corner like this.
Heath
No.
Jordan
And the worker would be holding, like, pixie sticks. And we'd have to grab it. I'm gonna show you a picture.
Matt
Wait, that is.
Jordan
And we. Jordan, we would rent the Teletubbies to show up.
Zane
Oh, my God.
Jordan
I'm gonna put King Kong.
Heath
The whole neighborhood would just, like, hang out in the street.
Zane
That's. What is that?
Matt
Wait, this is a.
Zane
That's a. That's an amusement ride.
Jordan
Yeah, it swings like this. So that was the king.
Heath
Funny.
Jordan
King Kong.
Matt
We've all been looking at the wrong.
Zane
Florida because, like, we never had anything like that.
Jordan
It was this one.
Zane
No way. That.
Matt
That's insane.
Zane
So it just goes around like this.
Jordan
Yeah, but like I said, block party culture was humongous on the East Coast. Like that you block off your street, you have a block party.
Heath
Everybody's just out front with, like, Chairs, barbecuing.
Jordan
Everyone brings their own folding tables. Folding chairs. You're going to each other's houses. You're. You're running into everybody's pool. You're grabbing a burger from here. You're grabbing dessert from here.
Zane
Like, oh, we had no culture.
Jordan
Yeah.
Heath
Like, just no sense of community.
Zane
No community.
Heath
Like, think about when we went and, like, visited the house that her grandpa built, and the lady was like, just come in.
Zane
Oh, they would never. In Florida, no coffee.
Heath
Have this.
Zane
You'd hear this. No way. Damn.
Matt
Unless you got, like, adopted into some random Cuban family. It's very hard for that to happen in Florida.
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
Yeah. Damn. You see? Like, that type of show. I'm like, I'm gonna move there. I'll find a wife there. I'll move there.
Matt
No.
Zane
And we'll have Patricia's. I'm fine. I'm fine.
Heath
You marry Patricia.
Zane
I'll figure it out. I'll figure it out.
Heath
Episode of Unfiltered is brought to you by booking.com booking. Yeah.
Zane
Every time I use booking.com to find a place to stay in the US I know they'll have exactly what I'm looking for. They have a huge variety of options, from hotels to vacation rentals. And I know I can find exactly what I'm looking for. I found booking.com has something for everyone.
Heath
And you know how picky I am with traveling. I want to make sure the hotel that I choose has absolutely everything, whether it be a sauna, a gym, oceanfront access.
Zane
Go karting next door.
Heath
Exactly. And you can find all of that information out on booking.com.
Zane
Exactly. So no matter who you are, booking.com helps you find the state that's ridiculously right for you. So find exactly what you're booking for on booking.com. booking. Yeah.
Heath
Thank you so much, booking.com for sponsoring this podcast. We love you.
Matt
I. This just happened recently, but did you guys hear about the Alaskan Airlines flight attendant who was twerking on the plane?
Heath
No way.
Zane
Come on, baby. The thing is that. All right, go with the story, because I blame these videos that people are posting because I'm sure this. This worker saw one of the Southwest flights. They're getting it down. They're doing karaoke. They're dancing. So she thought, you know what? I'm going to bring. I'm going to bring in some fucking. Bring in some energy on this flight, too, and see if I can get on a TikTok. Just something. I don't know.
Jordan
It seems harmless. Did something go wrong? Or was it.
Matt
I don't think anything.
Jordan
I would never report this. I would brag about it. I'd be like, you'd never believe what kind of flight.
Heath
She was naked.
Zane
All right, okay. This is harmless.
Jordan
Who cares? Wait, she got fired.
Zane
You can tell she's a good flight attendant.
Jordan
Yeah, she loves her job.
Zane
Okay?
Jordan
She's not twerking like f you.
Zane
Yeah, it's more like just having fun.
Heath
She's having a good time.
Zane
Yeah. Everybody just departed off the plane. It looks. Looks clean to me. The plane looks clean. Like, it looks like she did her job and she's just making a little tick tock video.
Jordan
I think she seems nice.
Zane
You know what? I think it's bull. I think this is because I'm seeing all these Delta videos that they're making with the pilots doing their. Like, this is crazy. Why do all these other airlines get to do all these insane videos for their tick tock channel, but she can't make a tick tock channel of her Twitter working.
Matt
Alaska Airlines can't have fun. That's all this tells me.
Zane
And it's Alaska Airlines, too. Come on. You guys are supposed to be the fun airline. We got Southwest busting it down with karaoke. We got. What was the other airline that's like, busting it down? Delta. They're flipping upside down.
Matt
And the spirit employees be doing this on the plane with. With us, with.
Zane
With the passengers in the plane. Like, I. I don't know. I don't like that they did that.
Heath
What firing is.
Matt
Go back to the notes because I want to read you guys her. Her quote, because I. I agree with her.
Zane
She just did her hair that day, too, like she was feeling herself.
Heath
Oh, there's a quote from her. What does that say?
Zane
I put on a proud face every time I stepped on that plane. And for them to terminate me without giving me a chance, it was just unfair. She said, I was really proud of myself that I came so far. I just didn't think my video and my post and the way I was dancing would be deemed as inappropriate. I mean, was it a.
Heath
Like.
Zane
Like the thing again, it was harmless, though. It's not like, how many more people.
Matt
Are gonna fly Alaska Airlines after watching that video?
Zane
I'm sure there's a few people. I'm sure there's a few people that were like, you know what? Like, these airlines are doing so well, though. It's never gonna. I don't think anything like this will ever make some, like, Will ever make too large group of people not fly with A certain airline.
Heath
Unless, I mean, people still fly Spirit and they hate Spirit.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Yes.
Heath
But you still fly.
Zane
You still fly. It's. It all depends on the price, the time you're trying to get there. Y. Never.
Matt
I think every single company has to understand in a social media world that they have to let their employees have some room to breathe in that social air. Because if not, they can't get their personality out like that. It's hard after work. She just went to work nine to five her three hours to cook and stuff. Like, you don't have enough time to put your personality in your day sometimes.
Heath
So she found an opportunity, was feeling good at work.
Matt
And she did it real quick.
Zane
I wonder if they didn't like that. What if she was just dancing? Like, what if she was just like.
Heath
You know, I think that like the twerk is what set it off.
Zane
Maybe I'm just thinking of like the.
Heath
Or just she was like filming something while on the job and like, not technically working. Yeah.
Zane
I think whoever saw this video was. I think they're probably very old and they're. They just saw some butt. They saw a butt chicken. They're like, this is absolutely despicable. You know what I mean?
Matt
I've seen worse on the flight.
Zane
I've seen worse from guests on the flight.
Heath
You're not getting actual ass on a.
Zane
Flight and you're not terminating them from the flight.
Heath
Right.
Zane
You know what I mean? Oh, this popped off my feed the other. And I'm pretty sure this is real because all these articles were talking about it.
Heath
Pretty sure this is real.
Zane
I'm pretty sure this is real. Bezos's Jeff Bezos Space Company preps the Senate send an all female celeb crew to. To space. Did you guys hear about this?
Heath
No.
Zane
There. It's called mission N531 and they were gonna. And Katy Perry is on. Is one of the ones flying into space. And I'm like. And I'm genuinely worried. They shouldn't be like, why are they sending celebrities into space like that? Is everyone. Yeah, everyone in the world is going to be watching this.
Matt
Wiped out in five seconds.
Zane
This is not a good look. And there's like so much that can go wrong with something like this.
Matt
Why are we not.
Zane
They're taking space people to space. Oh, no. They're gonna probably do like a two week training course for this. But all right.
Matt
I know why. I know why. Because Blue Origin is trying to make space travel, like tourism thing. So they're gonna use this as a like. Like Katy Perry went to space. You can now too, you know.
Heath
Okay.
Zane
You can now too.
Heath
You can't too.
Matt
I'm not going to say it's definitely a proof of concept though, because they've. What is that aerial company that has been teasing with like over just like 10 minute out of orbit flights, but then.
Heath
Oh, is it that it's not like a rocket.
Zane
Oh, okay, never mind.
Matt
It's definitely gonna be something like super.
Heath
High altitude, like the Superman mov.
Zane
Remember Superman? Where they like went really high and like they were like floating. I know that's fake, but like, you know what I mean?
Heath
Oh, it's kind of like Superman.
Zane
Superman. No, they, they're. They. They had a flight. It was going and they had a rocket ship attached to the plane and they were supposed to detach and the rocket supposed to shoot into space.
Heath
Okay.
Zane
But the rocket ship shot while the plane was still attached. It couldn't detach and the plane was going up.
Jordan
Katy Perry will launch to space.
Zane
You know, she's trying to come back hard after that flop album. She's doing everything she can to get back in this. You know how I'm gonna do it? I'm gonna go to. To space.
Heath
I got to take my career to the moon.
Matt
She's been the next level.
Zane
Next level.
Matt
Sabrina Carpenter's name in the news too much.
Zane
Yeah. Right. She's like, I got to get in.
Heath
Really excited for though, is the new type of airplane that they're creating. This makes me want to fly. The. The design, the shape of it. It is. Look at that thing. Look at how.
Zane
Oh, that's Incredibles. The incredible 100. That's an Incredibles movie.
Heath
That is what I've been waiting for.
Zane
That's sexy.
Jordan
It looks like this.
Zane
Yeah. The rock Rock on hairline.
Jordan
Literally this.
Matt
I was excited for it as I was reading it until. Until I wasn't. Because I was reading it, it was. I was reading the benefits.
Heath
Huh.
Matt
So engine on the top of the plane.
Zane
Good.
Matt
Makes it a much quieter experience.
Zane
Love that.
Matt
Right. And it is gas efficient. Half the fuel used on normal flights.
Heath
What's the downside?
Zane
Eco friendly?
Matt
Well, I'm just waiting for them to say, yeah, you can lift your legs up now. What do you mean, 25 inches?
Jordan
Everybody gets a bed.
Matt
Everyone gets a bed. You're redesigning the whole plane. Like, where are those?
Jordan
I don't care where the engine sits.
Matt
I just never bothered me.
Jordan
Right.
Matt
So I. Yeah, I do. It looks cool.
Jordan
Like Jordan. Like, how about some chocolate covered pretzels?
Zane
Yeah, you know, dark to dark chocolate, please make it more expensive.
Jordan
Salted peanuts maybe.
Zane
What, what bothers Like, I think every flight should have laid down seats. The cost of tickets these days you're paying 800 for an economy seat and you don't get to put your feet up.
Heath
Just give me a little extra room.
Zane
I don't get a TV in front of my seat and I'm paying 650 to fly a three hour distance.
Jordan
I used to, I used to understand when the flights were 50 bucks and I'm like, yeah, I don't get a.
Heath
TV, I don't get to be comfortable.
Jordan
But I'm in the air for $50. No complaints.
Zane
Exactly.
Jordan
800. No, the prices are out now for back pain.
Zane
For, for, for round trip back pain.
Matt
Is exit row seats. 50% off every single one of them. Now that we're going to have to be using them this year. It seems like.
Zane
Did you see the. Did you see the TikTok where the guy was for. He was practicing. He was like.
Matt
Like if they're expecting us to stand up and go, you out first.
Zane
I. No, it's free. I expect a paycheck. Whoever's sitting there, they're working. They're on the clock.
Heath
Who do I send my W9 to?
Zane
Yeah, like because, because it's work. You're. Because you are. You're in constant. Your butt cheeks are clenched the entire flight waiting to. To use that emergency door. You're working. And what you don't. You get in trouble if something happens, you get caught. Not helping everybody on board.
Heath
I think you do get in trouble if you don't let people out before you.
Zane
Imagine you're like exit rows only left. You have to now, right?
Heath
I want to know for those. These. The one that flipped upside down. Did they.
Zane
Did exit row do their job?
Heath
I wanna know.
Zane
No, you know why it flipped upside down? Everybody shuffled. Nobody knows who was sitting exit row at that point. Yeah, I think it's crazy that nobody got hurt on that flight.
Heath
I know.
Zane
Mariah. Imagine being exit row. Like, you're like, this is the only seat left. And then your plane is upside down and now you have to let everybody you don't even know out first because you have this duty.
Jordan
Zane. That's my dream teacher.
Zane
Women and children first.
Matt
You go, go, go, go.
Jordan
I want to be the very last.
Zane
Get the hell out of here. Save yourself. I'm good.
Jordan
You go. They're like, man, we're all.
Zane
You're editing.
Heath
There's nobody left on the plane. She's searching. She's like looking around.
Zane
Ma'am, you're good. Get off the plane.
Matt
No, I'm grabbing everybody's.
Zane
What'd you leave in there, an iPhone?
Jordan
Three? I' with this ship, being a hero is so cool.
Matt
I know there's gonna be 250 people on that plane.
Heath
It just. It just seems like something new that I think the airline industry needs. We needed a different shape.
Matt
You ain't gonna be the first one on that thing.
Heath
Yeah.
Jordan
When they get released, I'm waiting like 10, 15 years to get on one of those.
Matt
Let them try it out.
Jordan
Are you? Imagine being the first. That's like the first to ride a roller coaster. That's not happening.
Heath

Zane
There's no.
Heath
They do.
Zane
They do. They have. There's bars in a lot of those planes. Except they're the. Like the international ones and they're ginormous. You have to like, it's only certain airlines that do that.
Matt
United Emirates.
Zane
Yeah. Like there's. And those movies are using those planes.
Jordan
No, but planes in general, just your regular flight used to be so comfortable. Right.
Heath
Back in the day.
Zane
Yeah, like, remember Soul Plane the movie? Dude, that. That movie made it so unrealistic. And I thought there were planes that look like that. Mariah, remember? Ever? Have you ever seen Soul Plane? A whole nightclub in the. In on the plane. I was like, oh, my God. I didn't know there was. There's airlines.
Matt
What happened to the planes?
Zane
Wait, that plane is sick. That's a trainer plane. That's no.
Matt
There's no way.
Zane
There's no way. There's no way that's what planes look like.
Jordan
Look how comfy they all.
Matt
They also all look happier talking to each other.
Jordan
So happy. Everyone's dry. Everyone's in heels.
Matt
There was no dress shoes.
Jordan
Dressed to the nine.
Zane
Yeah. You came like you're dressed to impress now.
Jordan
Look at this chaos now we're in.
Heath
You couldn't pay me to sit on a flight in the chair that we get in a full blown tuxedo.
Zane
No way. I'm good, thank you.
Heath
Imagine.
Zane
I wonder what, like, what happened? When was that switch where everyone's like, we don't need to dress like.
Heath
Yeah, like, I'm not wearing a suit anymore.
Jordan
I started seeing people, I think, flying.
Matt
And said we gotta downscale.
Jordan
I think flying was like a luxury. Like it, it.
Matt
Oh, yeah, yeah, for sure.
Jordan
It was like, nowadays everybody can fly. So I think it's just. It was less common then.
Zane
Think about it. You didn't have zoom or anything. You had to fly out for meetings. Oh, boy.
Heath
You know what else I think is crazy?
Jordan
People drove, people did more road trip.
Heath
The fact that people, like the luggage with a wheel was like invented not that long ago. These people were carrying.
Matt
Yeah. I can't even.
Heath
A 50 pound suitcase with a handle. And they were walking around. Look at old photos in an airport. They all have a handle. There's no roll. Like rolling luggage.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
And I have a lot of vintage suitcases that Heath gave me. And they're big. Like, they're not the size. They're full checked in bags.
Zane
Wow.
Heath
Okay, how about this next flight we go on, we all have to wear a tuxedo window. Everybody put a suit on.
Zane
But. But then Mariah has to do her.
Heath
Hair like she's got the curlers in itself.
Zane
Oh, yeah. No, we have to. Really, we have to. No.
Matt
You know why? Those people were not going through any security check. They were not taking their belt, shoes, or jacket off. They were just walking.
Zane
And we're not gonna.
Heath
Now everybody just goes in PJs.
Zane
Yeah, yeah.
Matt
We're just trying to work around the system.
Heath
This flight's gonna be miserable. I'm. I'm wearing my pajamas.
Zane
I'll never get over that. I will never get over how, like, expensive these airlines are. And they just don't give us the appropriate seat for the amount of money that paying.
Heath
Oh, you remember the TWA airport.
Jordan
Jfk.
Heath
This was her mom flying at that TWA airport.
Zane
Wow.
Heath
When she was a kid.
Jordan
Look at their luggage, their outfits.
Matt
This is unreal.
Zane
Oh, and like look at the taxi. Our kids looking at old photos off iPhones. Oh my God.
Heath
I wonder if they're going to have the same feeling.
Matt
Do you think they're going to think like this is cool?
Zane
No. The iPhone photo. No.
Jordan
Because there's just too many of them. Like there's. It's not thousands and thousands and thousands of. Of like those pictures. This is like one photo of this moment.
Heath
Yeah. You only got one.
Zane
Well, we have like 80 of the. Of the same spot.
Matt
Yeah. Our kids are not gonna even want to look through our photos.
Jordan
It's just so over saturated.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
And the photos are just so different looking.
Zane
There's something special about them.
Matt
My kid will Never experience. Like Yahoo.com. yeah, I did.
Zane
Like that is aim the pixelated Bitmoji icons that we get to all the.
Jordan
Most basic font for everything. Like a times New Roman for everything. I know.
Matt
I think about a lot like we were like in the. I don't know. You're. You're not going to experience the Internet like we did.
Jordan
Like Jordan. Yahool. Again.
Zane
Yahool. Again.
Jordan
I can see. Yep.
Zane
Yeah. Oh, Mariah, that's crazy.
Matt
But so easy. Simple.
Jordan
So simple. Just basic.
Heath
I spent no ass.
Zane
Mariah. Just no brain rot.
Heath
I spent so much time.
Jordan
This is why everyone's overstimulated. Because you would get on a website now and it's pop up, pop up. You have to exit out of everything.
Zane
And you're getting your identity stolen at the same time.
Heath
It's like every website you go to now. I gotta allow cookies for everything. I'm tired of clicking whatever.
Zane
Every website entirely cookies.
Heath
Everything I do, I have to say no. Don't track me when I'm not using your app.
Jordan
Right.
Heath
Why are you even trying to track me when I'm not using your app?
Zane
So they can give you those ads that you like buying.
Jordan
I just want to buy a rug, man.
Zane
And when you buy that rug, you get that same rug in your feed every day. But you already bought it.
Jordan
It's too much.
Zane
I already bought the rug.
Jordan
Like I'm less and less on my phone the older I'm getting.
Zane
I just can't.
Heath
Frustrating.
Matt
I think like I would have less an incentive for like, yeah, son, use the computer. I think it's just like there's not anything fun left on there. Compared to, like, how it was before.
Zane
Hovering over his shoulder. I'm like, no, I'm watching.
Matt
There's no fun weapons website to go on anymore. Like, oh, no.
Heath
You would just be on your phone.
Matt
You would just be on your phone.
Zane
Yeah, I went to. So I, like, when I was a kid, I'd go to addicting games.com. i decided to, like, type it in. It's still the same games. Like, the same front page of games. I'm like, are they not updating this?
Matt
I. I hope not. But when are those gonna get lost in, like, history? Because we know it, but, like, our kids in high school, like, still knowing about addicting games dot com.
Zane
But, like, I want to know how many people are accessing that site. Like, I want to see, like, the analytics people, active people that are on that site. Because I know there's kids aren't going on, like, game sites anymore. They're just going on Instagram and Tick Tock and, like, or an app.
Jordan
That's also why kids these days don't have, like, a lot of patience. Because, like, we had to wait to get home to, like, hop on the.
Heath
Internet and our Internet was slow. It wasn't.
Jordan
Yeah.
Matt
A lot of patience and soccer sacrifice. Like, your parents are like, you're using the computer for one hour because.
Zane
Right. Yeah.
Jordan
If you have a bunch of people in your house, like, you have to share.
Zane
You have to take turns. Yeah.
Heath
Yeah. If your mom wanted to make a phone call off the Internet.
Jordan
Yeah.
Heath
Because we had to switch that line.
Zane
Yeah. Beepers. Beepers were used for. To. For you to get notified that somebody's trying to call you. Right?
Jordan
Yeah. But you would get. They basically had, like, code. Like, you could look at your beeper and, like, 911 was an emergency. So, like, oh, my husband. Like, there's.
Zane
I need to get home.
Jordan
Like, you can't. Like, I think you could code text somebody, but it was very brief. Like, it was. It was just like, all code pretty much. Right.
Matt
Later, beepers had a text option.
Heath
Right.
Matt
But before that, it was original ones. You got a notification that someone was trying to call you.
Jordan
Like, it was like, number one, number two, number three. And you're like, oh, I'm being. I need to go find a phone and contact this person.
Zane
So annoying.
Jordan
We still have my parents beepers somewhere.
Matt
I really like that, though. I think I was talking to Heath, actually about that.
Heath
Yeah. We were talking about papers recently.
Matt
The reason why is because I think it's really cool that back then you would. Someone wants to talk to Me, But I, like, they're gonna have to wait until, like, I find a phone.
Zane
Like, it's. What a useless invention. It's crazy that they invented that. They're like, people are gonna love this. And they did. But it's so annoying.
Jordan
Nothing like it existed.
Zane
I know, I know.
Jordan
But there was four beepers. There was no way for somebody to notify. I'm trying to contact you.
Zane
I know. Patience just.
Matt
I think that's so nice, though.
Jordan
Yeah.
Matt
And not, like, having to keep a. Think of, like, text conversations and stuff like that. Having a conversation throughout the day didn't really exist. So when someone wanted to contact, I missed that. I don't know.
Zane
That's why you do not disturb on all the time.
Matt
The beeper time error just seems like, wow, I would love to have been 25, live with a beeper and, like, really engaged in them.
Zane
My dad still has this beeper that he used to have. I think he still has his. I mean, I'll. I'll take a picture of it next time.
Heath
Do you think you could go a month without sending or, like, receiving a text?
Zane
Can I call?
Heath
Yeah. Like, you only can do phone calls.
Zane
I love calls. I hate texts.
Heath
No, me too.
Zane
I just don't like texting, so I'm fine with it. I'm fine with, like, get rid of my text guessing.
Matt
Cool.
Zane
Call me.
Matt
You're a facetimer, though.
Zane
Heath is a big facetime.
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
When someone's calling me, I was like, over everything. Yeah.
Matt
For me, it's like when I'm FaceTime by my mom, and she's like, look at this. And I'm looking at my phone, and it's just pixelated, and I'm having to.
Zane
Go, how that looks awesome.
Heath
You know, we should have, like, set up, like, a specific seat in the. In the house, like, a specific chair. And that's where you have to take all your phone calls.
Jordan
I love that.
Heath
Like, oh, yeah.
Zane
Like, to get the cord. That's where the cord roots.
Heath
My mom, she would be at this specific chair for hours. And that cord would be.
Zane
She's like this. Just like this.
Heath
And it was just coiled up, running up into the wall. And she would just be sitting there on that one thing, just, like, stretched out to the max.
Zane
And it's crazy how long we had those phones for. My mom had that, like, had that phone in her house, like, the home telephone, for a long time. Like, it was. I maybe I think middle of high school, she removed it.
Jordan
We were one of the last people like, like that. I Knew that, that had it. Your parents had it until they moved in line.
Heath
Until they moved to Tennessee like. Yeah, two years ago.
Zane
Crazy.
Matt
They're fun. They're really fun.
Zane
And people stuck with that because cell phones are expensive. Like the, the plane for cell phones. It was like, oh, I might as well just stick with the home.
Jordan
I miss memorizing everybody's phone number. Like my friends in school, I still know their phone numbers by heart.
Heath
Gabe, his parents, his dad in his wallet has his wife. So Gabe's mom, phone number written on a napkin from the day he met her. And he's kept it in his wallet every single day since they met.
Zane
That same napkin.
Heath
The same napkin. He had it laminated.
Zane
Oh my God.
Heath
Once it started getting like deteriorated but you could still read it.
Zane
That's cute.
Heath
Really crazy.
Zane
That's more.
Matt
I never knew that.
Heath
Yeah, I did not know that. He's had it in his wallet for like almost 40 something years. Years.
Matt
Do you remember long distance calling? Like the, the international charges? Oh, I just remember.
Jordan
Don't you dare.
Matt
It was like leaving the, it was like opening the door with the AC on. It was like.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
For 30 seconds.
Zane
Yeah, yeah.
Matt
Crazy.
Heath
And how much in another country that you were calling?
Matt
I, I, I honestly don't, I don't.
Zane
It's online friends.
Matt
No, I, I really don't remember. But it happened because I remember, I.
Jordan
Remember being a big deal.
Matt
Yeah. I remember my parents getting so mad at me.
Jordan
Atlanta was the first city to require 10 digit dialing for inner city calls in 1996.
Zane
Bring back, bring big, bring back, bring back aim.
Matt
But there are a few things that I would love. Like in your futurism model, your futurism postmodern home, mid century. Sorry, I don't even know what I just said there. It would be really cool to have a house phone in that house.
Jordan
I'd be down to get a landline.
Zane
Make sure to give me that phone number so I can call you call your home phone.
Heath
It is nice though because there's times when I try to call you and if you don't have your phone on you, there's no way to get a hold of you. Yeah, but like a home phone would ring.
Zane
Yeah. The whole house hears it. Which is nice.
Jordan
That is nice.
Matt
Oh, I remember that. I was like a little servant for my grandmother. It was like, you get it?
Zane
You know what? I could really see it coming back because it is impossible to get a hold of people on their cell phone because most people just have it on do not disturb or The. The vibrate is not loud enough, or you have to have it, like, physically manually on. On. So I can see home. Like, home land lights coming back.
Matt
God, how comfy would that feel to go in someone's house and hear a ring?
Jordan
We'll get it. We'll get it.
Zane
But it has to be the old rings. I don't want to hear no from the homeline. No, no, no, no, no. No way. I want to hear that. The. That ring. That ring that we haven't heard in a long time.
Jordan
I like the phones that you have to put back.
Zane
Yay. Like a hotel. Hotels have landed lines.
Heath
Yeah.
Jordan
Zane, a lot of, like, any work business has a. Oh, yeah, you right.
Zane
You're right.
Heath
Yeah. Yeah.
Matt
I just realized that would have been the coolest thing at your wedding because I never, ever have done it. But they could have called each other's rooms. A lot of people could have just room 17, room 18.
Heath
There's a new thing that people are doing for weddings. Instead of, like a guest book and writing it, it's a landline phone that you would leave a voicemail.
Zane
Like, audio.
Jordan
Yeah, we were thinking about doing that, but.
Zane
But it was too unoriginal, original.
Jordan
It started to become popular.
Zane
It was too trendy.
Jordan
I liked our idea better. And also we did the interviews on camera, so that would basically be the same.
Zane
Yeah. You have the audio and the video.
Jordan
People are gonna be like, another message. Like, what else is left to say? Yeah, congrats. Try the veal.
Zane
Sure. Try the. The duck. The peep king Duck.
Heath
Peep king.
Zane
The peep king duck. Peeking. Different.
