Matt
You'd love that phone case.
Zane
I'll use whatever's around, right? I don't care what color it is.
Matt
What is it of, like, a cyberpunk city?
Zane
I don't know, Matt. I don't know. It was. It was free. It was part of the. What? Why did I get this bachelor party? The bachelor pro. They gave us the bachelor party.
Matt
It's been that long since your bachelor party? I guess that was like, a while ago. I feel like you've had that for years.
Zane
No, no, I've had it for, I'd say not even a year.
Heath
Yeah, but that. That lets you know it's iconic.
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
Because if you think it's been years and it's only been like six months.
Matt
Yeah. That's how powerful that case solidified in my brain.
Zane
I feel like you've had that for years.
Heath
That's right.
Matt
What color is a tennis ball?
Zane
It's highlighter. Yellow.
Matt
Yellow. Highlighter Yellow.
Zane
No, wait.
Matt
What color? There's no right or wrong. I saw a Tick Tock. Someone, like, with a bunch of friends, and they were all having a big debate and they were posing the question to everybody on Tick Tock.
Heath
I think it's like a lemon lime.
Mariah
I. I think it's more highlighter than yellow. But it's highlighters. Like, the perfect color to describe it.
Matt
It's more green than yellow.
Mariah
It's definitely more green than yellow.
Zane
Oh, sorry. Yes, I would say it's more green.
Mariah
Like, compare it to your microphone or your water bottle.
Matt
Right.
Mariah
That's not. That's not the, like, Tony hue.
Matt
Green.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
Is how I see it.
Zane
Like, if you were. If you were drawing a big portrait of a tennis court and you wanted to color in the tennis balls or what color are you grabbing? Are you grabbing light green or are you grabbing yellow?
Matt
Well, it depends what kind of paint that I got. But you definitely got to bring in the yellows for the ball, because yellow.
Heath
And then you're going green on top of.
Matt
There we go.
Zane
Okay. Okay.
Matt
There we go.
Heath
Well, then. But that's the base. Does the. Then the base is more yellow, so.
Mariah
Technically the hue is definitely green.
Matt
That. Yeah, that is green. That is.
Heath
Wait, Zane, Zane, squint your eyes, like is as small as you can get them.
Zane
Okay.
Heath
It's yellow.
Zane
He's. I can't see the ball now.
Heath
A little less than.
Zane
Oh, okay. Okay.
Matt
What you mean if you squint, it's yellow?
Heath
Open it back up really big in the full picture.
Zane
It is yellow.
Heath
It's yellow.
Zane
It's yellow and green.
Mariah
I see green.
Matt
I see green.
Heath
Okay. No, it's green, though. It's green.
Matt
But what about to the tennis court golf we're using?
Heath
Golf balls are green or.
Matt
No, they're sometimes like putt, putt. Yeah, yeah, but why. Okay, if golf is using white balls with a bunch of grass around, why.
Heath
Are we not using white?
Mariah
Oh, my gosh. Why does. Why does Google say tennis balls are typically yellow?
Heath
What?
Matt
Google?
Mariah
Oh, it's called optic yellow.
Zane
They can appear greenish.
Matt
Okay, so technically they are more yellow than they are green, but in the.
Zane
Shadow, they look a little green.
Mariah
Well, does that mean a highlighter is optic yellow?
Zane
Yeah, that's. What color is highlighter.
Matt
Do you guys own a highlighter?
Heath
That's a tennis ball, actually.
Zane
Look, when you type in highlighter yellow, that's a tennis ball right there.
Matt
That's like kind of. That's a little bit more yellow than tough.
Heath
It's tough. It's not a true yellow, but did.
Mariah
You see that poor lady on Tick Tock? The gray couch lady?
Matt
No.
Mariah
She thinks her furniture.
Zane
Oh, yes.
Mariah
Blue. It's so gray. And the poor thing is like. Because, look, I'm comparing it to this blanket. This is the. And everyone's like, girl.
Zane
No, the blanket is.
Mariah
She was fighting for her Life.
Zane
And I was like, oh, man, is she colorblind?
Mariah
I think so.
Heath
And probably coming to realize that she is, but she's having a tough time.
Mariah
Yeah. She kept pulling things from the house like. Like this totally different.
Zane
Imagine trying to fight by you taking actual objects. Imagine it. It's just not.
Mariah
And now look, she's gray couch lady.
Zane
Oh, no. And Mariah, one. One day the couch is going to be removed and she's going to be considered the gray lady.
Mariah
She's like spiraling.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Do you have any. Do you know anyone who's colorblind? Like true color?
Heath
Logan Paul, my.
Matt
Yeah. And Logan Paul. I called him out on Twitter one time, remember? Yeah. Remember Logan Paul? If Logan Paul is legally colorblind, I'll respect him because I remember he made that YouTube video where he put on the colorblind shades and he's crying, can't believe the view. And then I did a little search on.
Zane
That was a joke, right?
Matt
Well, it was clearly exaggerated because I. He even tweeted out before that video that fiery orange color and sunsets like fire emojis. Like he had tweeted so many times about colors and I was like, I think he.
Heath
I think he came out and admitted that that was all.
Zane
Yeah. Fake video. Yeah.
Matt
Piss me off. I have a friend who's colorblind and I've always wanted to get in the glasses, but it's crazy how expensive they are.
Zane
So there's actual glasses for colorblind people out right now. That's not like a YouTube. Okay.
Heath
And now not like a ploy or a fake product. It's like legit.
Matt
But they're like 300 bucks. But I think you can get them for like 120 used on eBay.
Zane
Look, that's not bad compared to some of these other glasses that you're pay. Paying 400, 500 normal prescription is crazy. It is.
Matt
That's such a scam, though. Make it cheaper. There are colorblind people out there who've never seen that. Their kids, little red.
Zane
Do they have colorblind contacts?
Matt
You know what? Great question, Zane. I don't think so because I think the colorblind glasses, though, are kind of like a one time. Wow, this is kind of fun. Like a momentary thing. But I don't know if you would like. If it might give you like a headache if you're looking at this whole world in a whole different spectrum of color. And also I don't know if colorblindness is a spectrum of. Some people have it a more severe degree. But it's fun. You know what a colorblind test looks like?
Zane
Yes.
Matt
It's all the little circles, and there's, like, another. There's, like, something hidden within the circles. All of us, you go, that's a.
Heath
Number seven, and we can pop it out immediately.
Matt
My buddy. I love, like, pull it out, though. I just. Because it's. You're never around someone who's, like, truly colorblind. Like, what does this say?
Zane
And a lot of people, I feel, like, don't know that they're, like, colorblind.
Mariah
Like, that's, like, equivalent to, like, when you don't have your glasses on. Everyone, like, how many fingers am I holding up?
Zane
You're like.
Mariah
Wait, look at it wrong really quick. This was the original ghost. She's. She even, like, zoomed in. She goes, look, it's blue. It's blue.
Zane
That is dark gray.
Matt
No, that is gray. That is millennial gray through. And look at her. Oh, my God. I thought I knew her first. Oh, poor. She seems like she kind of has it all together, too. Or, you know, it looks like kind of normal. Or.
Zane
You know what? It's again, I. I feel like so many people just rage bait now. Just make people feel like they're crazy. I. I could see myself doing something like this. Just content. Just make people go crazy. Like, no, you guys are the crazy one. This one's obviously. Obviously gray. No, this. And make all my friends on camera say it's gray, too.
Matt
I can't stand rage baiters.
Zane
To me, it's fun. It's funny, but this is. Yeah, that's. That's sad.
Heath
Just to. Before we keep passing by, it's another tennis question.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
Have you seen, like, obviously a normal tennis court is like, that kind of, like, green, kind of hard, concrete type thing, but then sometimes they're playing tennis in dirt.
Matt
Yeah. Clay.
Heath
And I'm like, how does it bounce? The same. It would have to. Right. In order for them to be playing a professional match.
Mariah
Is it compact still?
Matt
And, like, Wimbledon is on, like, very fine grass, too.
Heath
Right. Like, how is it not so I.
Zane
Haven'T seen that in a long time.
Matt
I guess you would say, like, a comparison would be also to golf, where you're dealing with different environments. Also football, you're playing on AstroTurf versus real grass versus this. A lot of it's.
Heath
Yeah, but I'm not bouncing a pass off the. Like.
Matt
Yes, it doesn't.
Heath
It has to react.
Matt
It's just con. It's. Yeah. I.
Heath
Maybe not. I don't know.
Zane
Is this still a thing, people? Tennis players?
Matt
Oh, yeah. French Open is on clay. Wimbledon is on grass. US Open I'm pretty sure is on standard. Like. Oh, concrete.
Heath
But it's something kind of concrete.
Matt
Yeah. Even Patricia dad, when he plays at their country club, it's like. It's almost like Wimbledon, but it's like a little dusty.
Heath
Kind of like that. That skid mark. Breaking ankles and tearing acl.
Zane
No fucking way. Yeah.
Heath
It is so hard.
Mariah
Very Roman time.
Zane
Yeah. Take the net off. It's. It's a. It's an arena.
Heath
And swap the rocket for a sword.
Matt
Go.
Zane
That's pretty damn close. Yeah.
Matt
Yeah. Yeah. I bet there's certain players who are really good on one type of material. You probably, as you train, you got to go play on different types of courts to make sure you're just like all elements, you know?
Zane
I tried. I tried taking tennis lessons. What?
Heath
Oh, yeah.
Zane
After one lesson.
Matt
Wait, you took tennis lessons because you wanted to take the tennis.
Zane
I was just like, yeah. I feel like in my head, I was like, oh, I feel like I could be good at this sport. I try. I did one lesson. My. Because remember, I. I dislocated my elbow. I just kept going. I'm like, oh, my God, this hurts so much. I went to the doctor and he said, don't ever play tennis ever again. Your elbow cannot do that anymore. Your elbow can't play a sport like that.
Matt
Damn.
Zane
It's. And because it's your dominant elbow and people. People that play tennis all the time, there's. It's called tennis elbow. Exactly. They get. My elbow will turn into what tennis players like.
Matt
Oh, like an experience. Like a super old tennis player.
Zane
We'll have the elbow I have now.
Matt
Yeah. So you're going to tennis elbow.
Zane
Exactly.
Heath
Whoa.
Zane
Yeah. So doctor was like, do not play tennis.
Matt
Patricia's been taking tennis lessons, but I can't wait until she's really good so she can teach me.
Zane
Yeah, that's good. Just have someone so you don't have to.
Heath
That's how you get a bargain. You get the lessons for free. People for one.
Matt
Yes.
Heath
Go learn it. Bring it back here.
Matt
Expensive.
Heath
Very.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
She's part of, like this Interesting. I don't even know if it's an app, but, like, you book tennis lessons, but somebody. You know, Beverly Hills, there's all these rich people have tennis courts.
Heath
That's the house across from me. There's. It's a full blown public park.
Matt
So people are coming in and out. That's what they're doing.
Heath
Parking in front of my house. Go into these. It's.
Zane
Oh yeah.
Heath
It is a non stop, though. Like the street from the minute that sun comes up and then into the night. They're playing at night with the tennis lights on and it's at a house.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
But they open it up and they sell it to like these people to go do less.
Zane
Why do I feel like you can? Because I know that Runyon does it. And I don't know how much it costs for them to do this. You know how I don't know if you know about that one street by Runyon Park. You can park pretty much anywhere. Except for this one street where I think every house is paying together to make it a no parking street. Like no. No cars are allowed to park on the. On the sides of the street. Is that it?
Heath
But there's like certain things you could like, pay for the rights to having like those as your. Your own parking spots.
Zane
Is that considered your property though?
Heath
When you do that property, you're like, you're saying like you're paying. Renting it out monthly to have them. It's like how I always would get mad when you would be at a normal street here. And then at a certain time it turns into valet. Valet just. I'm like, how do you get the rights to have all of those spots when they're meters?
Matt
Yeah.
Mariah
Valet out here just feels like somebody bought an umbrella.
Matt
Yes.
Mariah
That's like a corner. It does not seem real.
Zane
It seems like it's. And I honestly, I get scared every time I give my key up because.
Mariah
I'm like, there goes my car.
Zane
There goes my car.
Heath
Apparently, though, that valet company is paying the city to own those meters.
Matt
Yes.
Heath
For the entire night or wherever, whatever time to be able to charge you money.
Zane
They give us something.
Mariah
Charging for parking is the biggest scam. We're already on the ground.
Heath
So mad.
Mariah
We're already there.
Zane
We already have to go into this building and spend money buying product. Why do we now have to pay to go buy?
Heath
If there was like the. I mean, everywhere else has really nice like parking, like with plazas and like just. You don't have to worry about it. But like here every. And they, they all vary the parking garages and the structures. Sometimes you're like, okay, that wasn't bad. And sometimes you're like 30 bucks. I'm like, I was here for an hour.
Matt
I know.
Zane
Yeah.
Mariah
Just your basic parking lot. Like that Air1, the whole shopping center. Why are we paying for that parking? It is so you have to.
Matt
You have to leave someone else to take advantage of.
Zane
Yeah. And you have to leave under and out. Like there's. It's free, but you have to leave in like 30 minutes.
Mariah
But, like, nowhere else does that.
Zane
I know, it's stupid.
Mariah
It's nice going back home and everything.
Matt
Oh, you guess I love me a big ass parking lot.
Heath
You're like, all of this is free. It's like the girl math. You're like, yeah, everything is free. You're getting paid to go in a parking lot.
Matt
And we got a Best Buy, tj, Max A. Michaels. I'm gonna be there all day. Olive Garden in the middle.
Zane
Our Publix parking lot alone in Florida is as big as Toluca Lake. It just.
Heath
The whole spreads. The whole thing.
Zane
And you could park it. Oh, and you could park anywhere.
Matt
You could stay the night. You could stay the night.
Zane
Stay the night and.
Heath
No, it's gonna bug you.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
It's unbelievable. But speaking of the Air1 parking lot. Let's ruin the intro. I got some shit to say. I got some shit to say.
Heath
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, let's do it. Come on, baby.
Zane
Oh, I forgot we're.
Mariah
I forgot what we're going to say.
Zane
I forgot which podcast I was going to say. Hit it. Let's go. It's copy talk.
Indeed Ad
I thought.
Mariah
I thought you were going to say. I got some to say. I forgot what I was.
Heath
I don't know what I was gonna say.
Zane
All right, let's go. It's come. I was about to say welcome back to basic.
Matt
Oh, dear. Oh, dear.
Heath
Oh, my Lanta.
Zane
Welcome back. Welcome back to Zanyth Unfiltered. I'm Zayn.
Heath
I'm Heath.
Matt
I'm Matt.
Mariah
I'm Mariah.
Zane
And I'm pissed. I'm frustrated. I have a lot of. I have big beef with the Erewhon Parking Plaza right now. Last week, Matt, I already told these guys. These guys already know. Last week. I park in the parking lot. I go to Equinox.
Matt
And it's a ticketed parking thing, right?
Zane
Yes.
Matt
You take a ticket.
Heath
The army.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
It's got the arm. That's how you drive under.
Zane
Yes.
Matt
Okay.
Zane
And the way the whole lot works is that you come in, you pay for the. You, You. You get a piece of paper, and then there's like valet people all across the parking lot. Because not only is there single parking spots, but there's like tandem. Tandem parking where, like, if you park first and someone parks in front of you, you got to give your key so they can like, flip if somebody needs to leave, right? They have that everywhere. They have probably, like, five to six, five to seven people working every time you're there, right? And it's always funny because when I park somewhere, I'm like, hey, I parked right there. And the way that they don't even look at my car. And they keep going. They'll help someone else. I'm like, damn, they must be that good. Or they're just. They don't have to look and see where my car is. Like, how are they gonna put in, like, what spot I'm at right there? It's very like. I'm like, damn. They've been doing this for a long time. This is amazing. I go. I. I leave. I go to the gym. I leave the gym, and I'm like, hey, how you doing? My. My. My Tesla. I'm the Tesla right there. And he's like, so we don't have your key? I was like, yeah. I was like, you don't have your key? I was like. And they're both like. They're both, like, giggling.
Heath
Oh, like, that would have set me up.
Matt
I was like, so this is funny.
Zane
Yeah. I was like, okay. Oh, my God, that's funny. He's like, no, no. Like, actually, like. Like, we don't have your key. And I was like, wait, what? Like, you gave them the key? Yeah, Yeah, I gave him the key. I was like, who. Where's my key? Like, who'd you give it to? He's like, so there was, like, Uber driver that came and. But he had Tesla. So when we went up with both key cards with unlocked. So we gave him one, but we ended up giving him the wrong one. And I was like, where is he? He's like, oh, he's long gone. We don't know who he was.
Matt
We're like, okay, my key.
Zane
All right, that.
Matt
I'm like, you can still get it.
Heath
Urgency is what pisses me off.
Zane
Yeah, I know. It was like, there. There it was. I was like, in this.
Matt
Did they say, we're sorry? When did sorry come out of their mouth?
Zane
They're like, kids. They're kids. And so, like, I was like, just like, to keep your composure. I already knew in the back of my head that, like, my app was not connected to the Tesla yet, because I got a lease. I got a new lease. It's not connected yet, but I have my key. I use my key every day. That's just how I am. I'm traditional, man. I use my key. So I. I log into the App, and it's not linked. I'm like, okay, let me see if I can try to link it. I cannot link it unless I'm inside the car.
Matt
Oh, you have to.
Zane
Inside the car.
Matt
It's not like, oh, just.
Zane
I'm like, oh, I, I, I need my key to unlock this car. I go home. I know I don't have a spare key.
Matt
You don't have. Doesn't Tesla also have, like, a card? Like, almost like, what, he lost the card.
Zane
That's what he. That's why he loves the card.
Matt
That. Okay, I was thinking, like, the little toy car test.
Zane
No, no, it's the key card.
Heath
It's the. The bigger cars. So the. The threes and the Y's have the credit card as the key. The X has the actual key fob. That's the shape of a car.
Mariah
Really quick. So they switched your key with somebody. So that guy just got into another car and didn't realize.
Zane
So my. My key, his key card that they had on them turned on his car. But I hope he makes it home, because wherever he stops and then turns off the car, he's not gonna be able to turn it on again.
Mariah
Universal.
Zane
They're not universal.
Matt
The thing is that this happened.
Zane
This.
Mariah
This just happened like, Like a few days ago.
Zane
A few days.
Matt
Still there.
Zane
No, no, no, no, no, no.
Matt
Okay, okay.
Zane
But they. Because he had both Tesla keys on him, it unlocked his car. One of them, they gave him the wrong key and then took his key, so he drove off. Once you turn on your key, you don't need to have it on you, right? But you can't turn it on again. Once you turn it off, you need your key on you or at least buy your car. Oh, does that make sense?
Matt
Yes.
Heath
So silly.
Matt
So what you did really?
Zane
So. So I. I go. I. Todd picks me up. I go back home. I'm looking everywhere for a spare key. I'm like, I need. I. And I. We were leaving the next day for Santa Barbara, so I was like, I need to find this fucking key. This is happening. Just the worst day I had. I had appointments just booked all day because I had to do shit before we left for the weekend. And this was the first thing, my first thing of the day that I had to do. And I was like, oh, my God, this is just the worst fucking day. And I go, look, look, look. And I'm like, as soon as it really settled in that I'm gonna have to, like, tow this car out. And then I got angry because I really thought I Was gonna figure it out.
Matt
I would be like, okay, I know.
Zane
I come back this. Matt.
Heath
I came back, had the walk. He's sweaty. He's like.
Zane
Came back.
Matt
You walk back there.
Zane
Yeah. And, guys, before I continue, I understand. I could have had a spare. I could have linked my app to the car. But the thing is that I had my key that I use every day.
Heath
Which I have not lost with somebody else.
Zane
Exactly. Okay?
Heath
So period.
Zane
I kept. Period. No period.
Heath
Zane, I am with you. 100.
Zane
Okay?
Heath
So I take this so seriously. Okay.
Matt
Heath.
Zane
I was. The thing is that I was having not the best day. So when this happened, I was like, zane, this is this house. Like, you're good. You're good. Todd drives me back, right? We pull up in front of the person, and then the. Now it looks like a head security or something. You look like head security. I was like, hey, how you doing? Good. Good. Okay. So I explained to him the situation, and I was like, let's, like, is there any way you guys can. I don't have triple A, by the way. That's. It's just not part of the insurance that I have. I don't have a towing. I asked. I was like, hey, is there any way that you guys. This company can cover the tow that. So you can tow my Tesla back to my house? I won't be able to use it.
Heath
Today, but you'll figure it out.
Zane
But I'll figure it out. I have to leave first thing in the morning, and I'll figure it out. But let's get my car out of here. Me and you. Let's just get my car out of here. The head of security goes, oh, we're not calling that tow truck. You're gonna have to call it. Just like that. Just like that. I sat there, and I started shaking, and Todd was like, there's no way.
Heath
And that's crazy.
Zane
I don't talk like this to anybody. I went outside my car. I was like, you're gonna buy a tow truck and you're gonna tow my car out of here because you guys lost my key.
Matt
And the teams are, like, sitting there like, And.
Zane
And then the kid goes to him, and he's like, no, look, like, I. I, like, lost. I lost the key. Like, I feel like we should. He's like, we're gonna. We're gonna take care of it. And I'm like, damn right. I'm pre. I'm breathing heavily. I'm like, I. If I lost someone's key as a valet driver, I would push their car I'd be 25 car myself.
Matt
Yeah, yeah.
Zane
House. It is just courtesy. Oh, my God. Like, you're working. And I, you know, when the background, I was like, I know they're gonna lose my car key one day, because the way that's the way they run it, I was like, I know something's gonna happen one day to one of these cars. And so the way they're treating it was like, this shit happens all the time.
Heath
That's what it seems like.
Zane
It seemed like it happened all the time. And I was like, there's no way you're letting people figure this shit out on their own all the time. There's nothing you're going to do. And I was like, just getting heated up.
Heath
And I'm sure other people probably had it to be able to get into their car with the app. So they just brushed it off or like, whatever.
Zane
Yeah. Or, you know, they did what I did. Go home, grab the key. It's fine. People make mistakes. But I tried everything.
Heath
You just.
Zane
My only option, just with the situation.
Matt
It was just like, do people, like, decorate their keys? Like, can you put some stickers on it? Just, just in the moment, someone can go, this is definitely not my key. Add some Lisa stickers.
Zane
And you know what? Now I'm gonna do that.
Heath
Lisa.
Matt
Lisa Frank stickers. I feel like you could. I feel like you could make a cute little. A little.
Zane
Yeah. Or just like, just bold pink. Bold highlighter, yellow. It's like, you will never. This will never go in someone else's hand.
Heath
Tennis highlight.
Matt
Tennis ball.
Zane
Yellow.
Matt
Yeah, exactly. Someone to get that and be like, this is.
Zane
And so I, I, I'm like, guys, thank you so much. I have to now Uber. Someone.
Heath
They called. They called it, though.
Zane
They called the kid that lawsuit. He said, hey. I was like, hey, dude, you. You got to figure this out for me. Because I didn't have. I had to go to an appointment that I could not. I could not cancel.
Heath
Right. But he ended up calling it.
Zane
He ended up. He's like, I'm gonna figure it out. I exchanged numbers. I'm like, thank you. I was not being disrespectful to him. It was that headset that pissed me off. Unbelievable. Me and him were like, you know what? We're cool. Everybody makes mistakes. Let's just. Let's exchange each other's numbers and let's figure this out. I, I leave. I'm on my way. I, I get a call back, Tow truck is there. I see it in the FaceTime. His FaceTime and he's like, bro, we got a problem. I was like, what's. What's the problem? He's like, the wrong one. So, you know, they're like, so you need to be here for them to tow it. I was like, I. Unfortunately, I wish I could be there. I cannot be there. I am so sorry. Is why.
Matt
They need an id.
Zane
They need an id. I was like, which. You know what? I didn't think about it.
Mariah
Violation.
Zane
Exactly. But they love towing when the car doesn't.
Matt
Right? So when it's out of, like, a. A need or a favor or like, something procedural. Yeah, that has to happen.
Heath
They can pull it out, but they can't just go take this car randomly.
Mariah
Because you called it as they go. I know it.
Heath
It's crazy. Like, but is it.
Zane
But what if the Plaza. What. What if the Plaza had a car just sitting there? They're like, we need to tow it.
Heath
No.
Zane
Need someone's I.D.
Heath
No, they would. They would tow it to their tow truck lot and hold it there to collect the money. But I can't just see your car parked somewhere and be like, yeah, come tow this truck and wherever.
Zane
Like, whose car is that?
Heath
Where am I going?
Zane
That makes.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
I was like, hey, I am willing to send. I always have a picture of my id. Yeah, I always have a picture. I have it just in file like that. Whenever they need it, they're like, no, no, unfortunately, you need to be your. Your person's. Your human self needs to be here next to his car. And I'm like, okay, let's just figure it out without me being there. Can we. Can we. Can we do it? They're like, the thing is that we. We need to get in your car in order to tow it. I'm like, why would you need to get my car to tow the car? Like, I've never heard of you guys. We got tow trucks from tow cars from everywhere. Why do you need to be inside my car?
Matt
How do we get in the car?
Heath
Neutral. You can't even put it in neutral, can you?
Zane
I can't. I can't do it in anything. But, like.
Heath
No, I'm saying a Tesla. Can you even put those in neutral, like, to, like, roll out? Like, if you were in it?
Matt
How do you tow with te. Hold on a. Am I missing something here? It doesn't make sense. You don't have the key. How so. 1. You can't get in your car.
Zane
I can't get in my car.
Matt
Yeah, so they should know that.
Heath
Hey, we just need to get in your car?
Zane
Yeah, I can't get in my car. That's the whole point of this conversation. And I was so, so my, I was like, I'm gonna figure it out. And I, I, I'm talking to the kid. I'm like, hey, dude, that car is gonna have to, is gonna have to stay there. Is it cool to stay over there for the weekend? Oh.
Heath
Oh, no.
Zane
And I was like, okay, okay. I'm gonna, I'm gonna figure this out tonight because I know tow truck companies, they open all night. So I'm like, I'm gonna, I'm gonna figure this out. So I get all my shit done, I come back and I call a random tow truck company that was still open. I was like, hey, can you guys tow a Tesla out of parking lot for me? And they're like, I actually, we don't have anything that can tow a Tesla, but let me refer to my friend that has one. Which I was like, oh, that's so weird that you need a special type of whatever. So I, I'm getting hot.
Mariah
Tesla vehicles have a tow mode.
Heath
Ah. So you're supposed to put it in the tow mode, I think, because it.
Matt
But oh, wait, so do Teslas get like a free pass for not getting just towed? Yeah, because they have to be in a certain mode.
Zane
But maybe you can get, maybe you can turn the mode on from outside of the car.
Matt
How do you repo a Tesla then?
Heath
I think they just drag it.
Matt
That is crazy.
Zane
So I did end up, look, I did end up getting my Tesla toad. It's just they needed like a dolly. Some sort like a dolly and something.
Heath
Else, I think, because remember, remember when the, the wheels are locked? Right? So you can't just like it does a normal car.
Mariah
One under each wheel.
Heath
Yes. So you can't just like a normal car, you would be able to lift it up and the front wheels would be able to spin.
Matt
Yes.
Heath
So you can kind of push it like a, like a shopping cart. Almost like if you were like, maneuver it like a wheelbarrow with a Tesla. All four wheels are completely locked. There is no rolling it. So if you picked up the back or the front, it's still just like locked.
Mariah
I could see Zayn at this point, just, I'm just going to buy a new one.
Zane
I, I was. And then when I was like, okay, the tow truck was going to take it my car to the place, and I was there, I was like, who's going to pay for this? And they're like, oh, no, none of us can Pay for it. We're gonna. Why don't you reach out? Just. Here's our. Here's the website. I'm like, the website. They gave me a website. I was like, okay, the guy takes it to my house. I have to pay $350 for them to tow my car.
Mariah
To realize they.
Zane
I know.
Matt
And then their mistake.
Zane
And I was. And then at that point, I was so exhausted and I was just so frustrated. I could go back and really try to squeeze this money out of the company. I just let it go.
Matt
What?
Heath
I mean, like, that.
Matt
You have a great case. This is like Judge Judy level case. I know, but, like, this is like. It's funny. Someone is at fault.
Heath
Yeah. It's like your whole day was wasted too. Back and forth with it.
Zane
I know, but, like, what? And what. Where's the evidence? Like, you know what I mean? I. What could I do to you?
Matt
Go and get names.
Zane
What if they're like, we're not gonna give you the money back?
Matt
That's bullshit. There's. There's levels. Who you're immediately talking to. They don't want to handle it. Whoever owns the Erewhon Plaza, whatever rental company you, You. You are entitled to being covered.
Heath
Thing is nice to fight it. And you got to take it to court because you paid for.
Matt
Unless there's a fine lining on that valet thing that says we are not responsible for any mishaps, accidents. This is like, if there's something on that fucking coat.
Heath
Keys.
Matt
Yes. That's. That's where they're gonna get you. I'll even go back saying, I'm gonna pull up and go, wait, is it true? Did you guys give my.
Zane
I started having different people.
Matt
He had to pay to Pay, like, nearly 400.
Heath
If you're by the Erewhon Plaza, ask around with the equinox right here. What are we in studio or be by Studio City?
Matt
Yeah, Ventura and Coldwater Canyon.
Heath
But no, I stopped doing valet. Not because of this, but curb rashed. Oh, my wheels. So nasty. To the point where I'm like, I will never do it again.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
So bad it looks like they tried jumping a curb at 40 miles an hour.
Matt
I could never be available on an angle. Just driving like a whole brand new car every time just to maneuver it in a certain area. Yeah, yeah.
Zane
And I'm. And I'm there a lot, so I can't wait to go back in there because. Oh, they all know me now. Yeah.
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
I. I put. I can't wait to pull in. And when they go, I Would go. Absolutely not. You can figure out the spot if they're to move cars around me.
Matt
Yeah, you need to figure that.
Zane
I keep my keys now, thank you very much.
Matt
Smoothie at erewhat. It just felt. Just chunk it in their face. Who's. I don't know. Who has a smoothie?
Zane
I don't know. I don't know. I didn't. I didn't go for Air1.
Matt
I went to work out IP, but now he's gonna be like, okay, that's crazy. Damn.
Zane
But yeah, it was. I think it was just like. It was like everybody makes mistakes. It was the way it was handled in that moment where they're just like.
Matt
No, wait, so have you unlocked your car? Have you found your spare key? What is it?
Zane
Yes, everything's good. Everything's good. I was. I was able to contact Tesla for them to unlock the car for me.
Heath
Okay, remotely.
Zane
Remotely.
Heath
They could just do that? Okay, yeah.
Zane
So there. He was able to. They're able to unlock it.
Heath
Gotcha.
Zane
And then I was able to link my account to the.
Heath
Okay, good.
Matt
Okay.
Zane
So now, now I don't even need a key anymore. But whoever that guy's out there, that's my key. Whoever he is out there, that's so frustrating. So if he ever feels like he.
Matt
Wants to take a little joyride, Tesla should have something. If it's like the wrong key, it like notifies like your key was pinned.
Mariah
It should be like a hotel room. Like you just get a red light.
Matt
How much is a Tesla key the car to get it reactivated, get a new one sent to you.
Zane
It's expensive.
Matt
Good grief. But then they gotta cover that too.
Heath
But yeah.
Zane
Wait, wait, wait. Sorry. Maybe it was my. Maybe it was the URUS that I had that I'm like thinking about. It was so.
Heath
Those keys are insane.
Matt
A lot of keys are. Car keys are expensive.
Zane
Maybe like between 100 to 200 for Teslas.
Matt
Well, they gotta cover that as well because they lost that.
Zane
Exactly.
Heath
But now you have somebody else's key. Trust 40 is not bad.
Matt
Say, trust you will be done.
Zane
You will be done. That's how I felt the whole day. Trust you all will be dealt with.
Matt
You should do this whole story time like on Tick Tock. I can't just.
Zane
I can't. I cannot.
Matt
Who's that fault here in the comments? Who's at fault?
Zane
I don't mind doing it in this room, but to pull up my phone and do it directly to people, like people that don't know me.
Matt
I put cameras in people's faces just go. This is the situation of what happened.
Zane
That's the thing. I. I want to go that far, just be like you, like, you know the crazy that, like, this is dumb right there. All of them.
Indeed Ad
You see him?
Zane
Yeah, the one that lost my key. He's the one that yelled at. Just.
Matt
Just total Karen mode in the.
Zane
In the parking lot.
Heath
Before we continue, we want to give a big thank you to our sponsor of this podcast, seatgeek.

Matt
Oh, well, I'm glad we're good to the wedding in one piece.
Zane
Yes, I. I was able to get my car back to the. Back to my house and. And everything was good. We were able to get ready for Remy and Cow's big weekend getaway.
Matt
Royal wedding.
Heath
Royal wedding extravaganza wedding.
Matt
I'm still recovering.
Heath
Unbelievable. On. I was believable.
Matt
Did you guys go to the rehearsal dinner or did you guys go the welcome party?
Zane
We did. We. Mariah was telling me this at the day. What is it? Welcome dinner rehearsals.
Heath
First we went to the rehearsal dinner.
Zane
Yes. And then.
Heath
And then we stayed for the, like the welcome party, which is where other.
Matt
Guests that, you know, aren't in the immediate bridal party or whatever, they show up.
Mariah
Enjoy the rest day of the wedding. The ceremony are the I do's.
Zane
Yeah.
Mariah
And the reception is dinner and dancing.
Matt
Got it. Zane.
Zane
Yes. No, you know, sorry. I'm learning.
Mariah
We were sitting at dinner, like, the. The night before, and Zayn's, like, brainstorming for his wedding.
Matt
He's like, on Pinterest.
Zane
Yeah, it was good.
Matt
So, yeah, y' all did.
Zane
We did. Yeah. We did the rehearsal dinner. It was on. It was like the rooftop of a hotel.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
It was really nice. It looked beautiful. We. What was it? I think everything was good. Everything was good.
Matt
You didn't dress in the color palette, though.
Zane
I know.
Matt
Remy put out a perfectly curated mood board.
Zane
Yeah, no, I. I had the mood board for the next day. I wasn't. Whoever. Mood board.
Matt
Funeral chic.
Zane
No, for me, I was like, since we're going so light the next day, I was like, I'm gonna go black.
Mariah
Oh, my God.
Zane
I'm gonn. Black looks. It makes me look thin. I was like, I'm gonna look good.
Mariah
Oh, I had a whole dilemma. Not. Not.
Zane
Oh, I didn't know. Yeah. I didn't know if you wanted to.
Matt
You had a dilemma.
Mariah
Yeah, I had a big dilemma. So the. The rehearsal dinner the day before and the day of the wedding, I had two dresses, obviously.
Matt
Okay.
Mariah
And both were similar color palettes, but one was more formal, one was a little more relaxed, but still, like.
Heath
Yeah, gowns, perfect for the welcome party.
Matt
Exactly.
Mariah
So I had two dresses. I put on my welcome dinner dress. Perfect in the color palette. I actually think it was in the mood board, the actual dress. I was like, I nailed it. We were heading out the door fully dressed.
Heath
We're both ready to go.
Mariah
We're, like, on his way up to our room to meet us. I go up to reach for a bobby pin. My entire dress. Rip.
Heath
No, like, one of those were, like.
Mariah
Rips off like a cartoon.
Zane
There's no.
Heath
There's no savings.
Matt
There's no little stitch. We can just. No, no.
Mariah
And I was like, we have to go. We have. We have to go. So I stood, and we're.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
We're literally on the dot. Like, we need to get up there right now because we can't miss the dinner.
Zane
I look. I look at Heath and Brian because I was.
Mariah
I don't think I made a noise. It ripped. And I just sat there.
Zane
I met up with Ethan. Right. Because I'm gonna go.
Mariah
Y' all ready.
Matt
I said.
Heath
I said, zing. Go up.
Zane
I was like, what's going on?
Mariah
Like, dress ripped.
Zane
Dress ripped. I was like, how many does she have left? It's like one. I was like, oh, God. I was like, you know what?
Mariah
I didn't bring any backups, cuz I'm dumb. But it ripped. And I'm trying. What I was trying to do, I tried.
Heath
She tried ripping more of it off.
Mariah
Across the skirt, making it into a skirt. And then I was like, putting a tank top on. That kind of match.
Heath
It looked like 50 shoe bops.
Matt
Like, was that.
Mariah
I was really trying my hardest.
Matt
And then.
Mariah
So that already happened. And I'm like, I can't believe I have to throw on the dress for tomorrow. And it's way more formal, right? And the one for the next day, I was so excited about. I would not shut up about it. I was like, wait till you see me in this dress. You're gonna love it. It's my favorite dress I ever bought. I dropped 300 on it.
Heath
Like, she's like, it's Remy's wedding.
Matt
I'm getting a nice dress.
Mariah
I splurge. I actually bought the dress that Remy wore for hours. She wore it in a different color. And I'm like, that's a cute little homage. Like, whatever. I was overly excited for this dress, okay?
Heath
I was like, you get to wear it twice.
Mariah
Like, whatever. So I put it on. I'm like, I'm definitely a little overdressed. And I was just excited for it. Tomorrow, whatever. I show up and I'm already like, heated from the dress ripping. And I'm not like two feet in the door and three people look at me and they go, those are the bridesmaids dresses for tomorrow.
Matt
My gosh.
Mariah
And they said it. In a way, my anxiety was definitely heightened. So it was all in my head. But in my head, they sounded like, good thing you're wearing it today because.
Matt
That'S what they're wearing tomorrow, right? Wait, was it. It wasn't. Was it pink?
Mariah
So, no, it was a different shade. When I was being told, everyone kept saying, those are the dresses for tomor the bridesmaids are wearing that. And I'm like, this is not, not happening right now. This is not happening. And for some reason, everyone was telling me it was the same dress. Everyone avoided that it was two completely different colors. And I was like, so the whole night I was going on, and I was panicking, and I'm getting compliments, like, you have good taste, because that's what the bridesmaids wearing. I'm like, I heard.
Zane
I heard at that point, just walk with them.
Mariah
I heard.
Heath
So they were all like, that baby.
Mariah
And then finally somebody had told me, like, well, I told them the dress dilemma. I like, whispered to some people that I was like, is this really not okay? I'll run out and buy a dress. The next day. The next morning, we got up early, we all had breakfast, and we all went spreeing. We went shopping through every store in. I almost said the Bahamas. Where were we?
Heath
Santa Bahamas.
Mariah
I went to every store possible, and everything was just like a nice sundress. It wasn't formal enough. I'm like, I can't do this. And I know it's not about me, but I was like, I really want to look nice for Remy because I know she's going to be worried about how I look. So anyway, finally somebody said they're two totally different colors. I'm pretty sure you're okay. And it's also like, right now, it's like one of the most popular dresses to buy. So, like, there were actually a few people that wore it. Mine was like this brown and the girls were wearing a light pink.
Matt
So you repeated you wore it.
Mariah
So I couldn't find a dress the next day. I really tried my hardest. I at Alicia was handing me dresses because Zayn texted. You texted her.
Zane
Because I remember her telling me a week before she. She told me. She's like, I always bring extra dresses just in case.
Matt
She brings tons.
Mariah
You should normally do. But I was so excited for this damn dress. This is the one, like, for the rest of my life. So Alicia gave me dresses and I really appreciate it, but they were all see through and I didn't have, like, undergarments for it. Like, I can't. It's just not.
Zane
Oh, tell them how you just. It was so weird. You kept seeing Remy's friends when you were shopping.
Mariah
Oh, yeah, when I.
Zane
Which is like. I think it's just like the day.
Heath
Before we headed out before, I was.
Mariah
Dress shopping, and I ran into three people that were shopping for the wedding the day before. And I was like, what are you doing here? What are you doing here? What are you doing here? And we all were trying to get on the same. We all made sure we weren't buying the same dresses, too.
Zane
That's smart.
Mariah
It was a whole thing.
Matt
It's wild world of dresses. In my brain, I think there's thousands and thousands of dresses. I can't even tell the crazy girls, like, oh, my. Get the Same dress. I'm like, what are the odds of that?
Heath
It's pretty crazy.
Zane
It's crazy because I was telling Mariah, it's like, mariah, if you never said anything, I don't think maybe it's. Maybe it's just guys. I. I could never be like, oh, oh, wait, that's the same dress. It's so hard to see that that's the same color.
Mariah
It was a different color. It's like to be fair, you know the brand, you know the dress type of thing. So it was only like the girlies.
Matt
Knew and everyone's attention is really elsewhere besides like.
Mariah
Yeah, but there was just one person that said they looked at me and they were like, you wore it. I'm like, so you decided to wear it anyways. Do that. You know, you're an Alpha.
Matt
Peter Lizzie McGuire.
Mariah
The whole.
Heath
Oh, we still went with that, huh?
Zane
I kept telling her, I'm like, mariah. So you're like, we, let's get you, let's just get you a dress. We'll spend all day looking for a dress for you.
Mariah
I really tried so bad.
Zane
It's like, it's like a shitty thing to like think about, like just throughout the whole day because you know it's someone else's day. You're like. The last thing you want to do is make people like all like look at you and thinking that you're trying to.
Mariah
It just was something terrible that people were telling me the day before, like, that's what the bridesmaids I'm wearing. And I'm like, I don't have a choice but to wear this tomorrow. So they're gonna think I did it on purpose and I'm just that girl.
Zane
Sometimes I never know. Like, like, so in that situation, in that exact situation, I'd be the one to say it. But not saying enemy were like, oh my God, that's our dresses. But not thinking like, oh, that could. That could.
Mariah
No, I lost sounds so much sleep over that.
Heath
To be fair though, they looked like completely different dresses because to people who.
Matt
Just don't even care, like, I know dress guys say. Everyone's like, what? Huh?
Heath
Okay, cool.
Matt
Right? Okay.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
After all the speeches and just one more thing, I know that I'm wearing this dress.
Mariah
Yeah. Nobody noticed. Nobody said anything. It was just my anxiety in my head cuz I just didn't want to be that person and.
Zane
But end of the day, I don't.
Mariah
Know, it was. Everything was in my head.
Zane
The thing is that, you know, out of everyone, Remy would be the most fine with it. She'd be like, oh, that's fine.
Mariah
And then I got there and there was like three other people in the same dress.
Matt
Yes.
Mariah
Oh, different colors. Yeah.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
Even I was wearing one.
Matt
Some dress.
Mariah
Shout out. Shout out. House of cb Love ya. Best dresses on earth.
Matt
Dresses.
Mariah
Wait, is that. No, I think you're thinking of CB2.
Matt
Oh, I know you're thinking of it.
Mariah
Because I get that mix.
Zane
I always think of CB2 every time.
Matt
CB is like, like another company under CB2, where it's like I get confused too. CB2, which is crate and Barrel.
Zane
Yes. What?
Matt
Yeah. Crepe Barrel.
Zane
Oh, my God. I didn't know that.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
Oh, my God.
Matt
It's like.
Heath
Shut up.
Matt
Yeah. CB2 is crepe barrel. But it's like their new.
Zane
That's so small.
Matt
It's like it's a spin off. Yes, buddy. I couldn't believe it as well.
Zane
This is why they do that, like as a brand. This is why. Because they want that reaction. And now we're gonna do. You're gonna go to CB2.
Matt
Some people think like Crate and Barrel is kind of like, oh, very 2000s and 90s, but then they like have this like, new addition where you think like, it's like a West Elm competitor. But I mean, Crate and Barrel still makes it. Fantastic stuff as well.
Zane
They do. It's like, it's like a restoration hardware, but a little cheaper.
Matt
I think CB2 is more furniture. Furniture based.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Crate Barrel is furniture, but with like home furnishings as well. Maybe wrong.
Heath

Zane
Yeah. That. Honestly, after I saw that, it was like, like it's kind of annoying because you're like, I can't look. But at the same time, those pictures, you're. You're gonna see a phone in the air.
Matt
Yes.
Zane
In at least in every picture. At least one phone in the air.
Matt
If they didn't do that, everyone was really tuned in.
Zane
Yes.
Matt
God, it was.
Mariah
Everything was gorgeous.
Heath
Yeah, it looked like the weather too.
Mariah
Because it was a really hot day. But we were on the water. Like it was overlooking the water. So the breeze was so cold and.
Matt
The birds were chirping.
Zane
You know why it was the perfect weather?
Mariah
I was looking for speakers because there was birds and frogs all day and I'm like, there's no way these are real. And I'm looking around. It was. Was like picture perfect.
Zane
Do you know why it was a perfect weather for Remy? She. She buried a hot dog. She told me.
Mariah
Is that a thing?
Zane
Yep.
Matt
Oh.
Zane
She told me it was a hot. She buried a hot dog in it, and that's why she got beautiful weather. It's like. Oh, all right. It's true.
Matt
Perfect. Patricia and I never did the bury the whiskey thing.
Mariah
No. Yeah, it sounds like something.
Zane
Dwight would bury the whiskey. Like a bottle of whiskey.
Matt
Yeah, you bury. Or it's like you bury a bottle of Jack or you bear. Yeah, you bury.
Heath
As like a good luck or bury.
Matt
The bourbon or something like that. It's in hopes that your weather is good. Maybe we should have done it because we weren't.
Zane
Well.
Matt
Yeah, it was in crash because of the. The wind.
Zane
It was. But it was inside.
Matt
No, but it was originally supposed to be outside. There was supposed to be a whole outside thing. Y' all weren't even supposed to be in the venue during our wedding until we arrived. There was a whole cocktail hour thing that's supposed to be Happen outside. But the whole bar cart thing. Yeah, that was like, a whole thing. That was the only problem that happened.
Zane
It looked like it was planned like that.
Matt
Yeah. It's just. Yeah. Looking back is not how we wanted the flow to go, but it's all good anyways. But. Yeah, that was great. Oh, the string quartet that they had. Phenomenal. Too.
Heath
Good.
Matt
Oh, and they were doing like. Like diamonds or you fell in love.
Zane
Yeah. It was just all the. It was like, all the top songs, but, like, in.
Heath
But covered by. Covered spring quartet.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
That was beautiful, Cal. Oh, my God. They both got. Their vowels were beautiful.
Zane
Oh, my. Yeah. Cow's vowels were insane.
Matt
But I think Cal get like, a nervous jaw or something.
Mariah
Oh, so precious. She was trying to, like.
Matt
She was massage.
Heath
Rubbing it, trying to get it to.
Mariah
Like, the Tin Man.
Matt
It looked like it helped. I was, like, getting worried at one moment because I was like, is this gonna. Is this gonna get bad? Is he gonna be like.
Mariah
It was so precious. He was.
Zane
Do you think he was clenching?
Mariah
He was having a hard time, like, keeping it together the whole time. He was really trying to breathe. His face was getting red. You could see him tearing up. And the first thing that broke him was the dogs walking down the aisle. And then I lost it.
Zane
I'm like.
Mariah
Like, those are his babies. It was so cute.
Zane
And it's so funny how, like, you know, you're not. You're. You're typically not supposed to, like, clap when people are walking.
Matt
People are walking and doing a little.
Zane
Whoa.
Matt
All right. And I was like, stop.
Mariah
Yeah.
Matt
Because you need to, like, have a little moment of, like, just be at peace. And the one time we rise is for the bride. It's not a. I know, but.
Zane
Because the first one got a clap, and then the second. Then everybody was like, we have to clap for everybody else or it's gonna be weird.
Matt
I know.
Zane
Yeah. It was like. I could tell halfway through, I was just like, damn, I wish we never clapped in the beginning.
Heath
Ollie throwing the.
Zane
Everybody was like, yeah, everybody got them. He got the most through that.
Heath
But both. Both of their vows were beautiful.
Mariah
Perfect.
Heath
They did such an incredible job. Super, super pretty. That arch behind it was stunning.
Zane
And I know they thought about it, but, you know, the whole time I kept on like, I was. So now I think about every wedding. I go in my head, I'm like, please, please. The officiant needs to move when that picture is taken for the kiss. So in my head, because I've. I've seen. I've been to weddings where some people stay in the middle.
Heath
They, like, rip them. From the.
Matt
My first time officiating, nobody fucking told me about that rule. Not all bridegroom didn't know about it. Even when I Googled it, it wasn't a thing. I feel like if TikTok existed.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Then when I officiated.
Mariah
Yeah. It's just. I would have it. It wasn't a thing. It's definitely a new idea. But if you're going to do it, you need to communicate with them before. Because the ripping just seems very dramatic. A little.
Heath
No, seriously, people, like, do it, like, aggressively.
Mariah
Yeah.
Zane
Like.
Heath
Like to prove a point for.
Mariah
So that there's no.
Matt
He did a good job. I talked to him after. Like, he went fully all the way to the side on a different microphone. And so he wasn't even, like.
Zane
Even the vows, too. Even the vows, yeah.
Matt
Gave them their whole moment.
Zane
That's where. Yeah.
Matt
Really well done.
Heath
It was really.
Matt
And. And then. Yeah, then we went into the cocktail hour. That was gorgeous. Oh, my God.
Mariah
It's funny to know the Mac and cheese in the little.
Matt
I didn't get to try the American.
Heath
The Mac and cheese matte little tin tray thing.
Mariah
You know why you didn't get to try it?
Heath
Because we kept taking it all.
Matt
That's why I was like. I was like, they never make it here.
Mariah
Never made it over there.
Heath
Because we would stop right in the.
Zane
Front where they're coming with food ants.
Mariah
Every time they came out, we were clearing.
Heath
Once we saw the tunnel that they were coming through, we're like, we should probably wait over one real quick. As I was going by, we were.
Zane
Getting it fresh and hot and you know, Remy would have appreciated that because, you know we're going to talk about it. We want to talk about how good the food was and she wants us to get it fresh, hot off the sample at all.
Heath
Mini bite sized chicken and waffles.
Matt
Oh yeah. They'll. They had caviar coming out.
Heath
The beef. Beef Wellington this big beef Wellington balls.
Zane
That was cute. It was cute.
Heath
Out of this world.
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
It was insane.
Matt
He had good beer selection too. I was loving it.
Heath
They had a good new brew selection. Did you know Remy had.
Matt
Yes.
Heath
All of those bars stock for the first night and the entire wedding just for me.
Matt
I was thinking that was.
Mariah
Nobody else was allowed to have it.
Matt
Oh really?
Mariah
The bartenders were told to only serve.
Matt
It's like a picture of you like on the inside.
Heath
So I was. I was getting them for everybody and passing them out that wanted one too because there was really quite a few.
Mariah
People that job they were told and they never broke that rule. It was really, really just so thoughtful. She did not have to do that like that just crazy.
Heath
Says everything about Remy though. Like it's her wedding day and she still.
Matt
She goes above and beyond. She thinks about other people before herself, which is incredible.
Zane
She was thinking about her dogs because. Because her dog was on each of those napkins had the name of the dog. Luna had one ki.
Mariah
He'll get it.
Matt
One. When we walked into the tent, the tent looked so gorgeous. It had like, you know, like sometimes you go in like a tent and it's just. It's a tent. And this had like underneath.
Mariah
The curtains were like velvet.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
It always loads so well like with your eyes and everything. It just. Everything was so cohesive. And the table arrangements. Holy.
Zane
Oh, the dinner for. For the reception just.
Matt
No, for. Yeah, the reception.
Zane
Yeah. I was. I was genuinely shocked of how beautiful it looked. It was insane.
Matt
Oh gosh.
Zane
It looked like that alone cost a million dollars together.
Heath
It looked was crazy.
Matt
Oh yeah. Steak was so phenomenal.
Mariah
It was just so cool. We were on an entire polo field.
Zane
It felt like the scene in White Chicks where the all white party. Didn't anybody tell you this was an all white party?
Matt
I like she also did a really good job with who is sitting where as well.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Because like, you know me, I'm a chatterbox and I'm cool with like some of Remy and Alicia's friends. But like I see them in doses but they clearly know that I'm close with them. So it all. Who I was talking to. It was all perfect. Yeah, like, sitting next to, like, Ashley and Jackson and Taryn. I love. And how you guys were just right behind me too.
Heath
Yeah.
Matt
So we were able to chat like that.
Zane
I do love that, that they put the tables close together. I was at my cousin's wedding and the tables were so close, so far away. Like. Like they were doing it, like diagonal like this, where you are never behind or like.
Heath
Okay.
Zane
But I really like how she did it. Where it was like a lunchroom, like a cafeteria almost. Right. You can, like, be. I like, close to someone behind you. Yeah. I love the back to back. You're just. And you're not stuck talking to. I mean, she. Obviously we're next to our friends, but, like, sometimes it's like it kind of, like, stinks. We're only stuck talking to, like, two people like this. It's nice to have, like, a whole circle around you where you can, like, bop around and talk to everybody. I like that too, that she did that.
Matt
Yeah. It felt so big and, like, intimate too. Like, it was.
Mariah
Yeah. The layout was perfect.
Matt
Who, sorry, maybe if I should know this, who sang Twee Tui T H U Y okay, Tweet.
Heath
Her and her boyfriend were so sweet. Charlie.
Matt
Oh, she was phenomenal.
Heath
Such a cute couple. And her singing was absolutely insane.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
Lana was there too. That was crazy.
Matt
I remember right when we walked into the. To the ceremony.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Like, we were like, where should we sit? Where should we sit? And she was like, sitting right there. And I'm like, we should sit here. Because I wanted to sit behind her. Patricia was like, no, no, we're sitting back here.
Heath
Whatever.
Matt
And then we sit down. And then Patricia's like, oh, my gosh. And I'm like, I know. That's why I was saying we should sit right there. Anyways, she's so sweet. Oh, so sweet. So elegant, so nice. You know what I did?
Zane
What?
Matt
Didn't talk to her. Gave her her space, all that. I stole something from the wedding. I stole Lana Del Rey's her name tag, like, her menu. No. What? Yeah, I did. Why not? So she wasn't gonna take it. Who else was gonna take it?
Mariah
What are you gonna do with that scrapbook?
Matt
Wait, I sell it on ebay. That was that bad? Oh, give it back to Remy. Remy, if you want.
Mariah
It feels like you took a strand of hair.
Heath
Yeah. You know what I did? I went into the Porta Potty after she was done. I took a syringe and I sucked up some of the Porta Potty water.
Matt
I think it was a Harmless souvenir. I took Lana Del Rey's menu, her name tag, all of it. I did.
Zane
When I walked by her, I smelled her hair. Is that the same thing?
Matt
Smell like.
Zane
No, I was kidding. No, I was kidding. Yeah.
Heath
What did it say?
Matt
I didn't come within 10ft of her.
Zane
So you came 15ft to her?
Matt
No, I probably didn't. I. Oh, no. I tried to give her her whole space.
Zane
Oh, my God.
Matt
But I took that card. It was the end of the night.
Zane
It was.
Heath
It was everybody watching him.
Matt
And I told. I showed it to Ollie and Ollie's like, brilliant. Ollie, like, approved. Was like, that's great. He almost wish he thought about it first.
Zane
But yeah, no. Amazing night. So funny incredible that then after that, you thought it was like the end of the night. You thought that was gonna be crazier. It got crazier.
Matt
So the music, I gotta say, too phenomenal. Bops as well.
Zane
Yes.
Matt
Like, I'm talking about, like, we were playing Lizzie McGuire, Lindsay Lohan rumors.
Zane
Oh, I was. I didn't even like.
Matt
Oh, there was some deep cuts. There were times where I'm like talking to people like, hey, how are you? Sorry, I gotta go dance to this song.
Heath
Another thing too, was really cool. It was the dj, but also had.
Mariah
Like a little trio, like a little saxophone, trumpet.
Zane
Yeah, yeah.
Heath
Such a good touch.
Matt
So you get the live band, jazz bands, but you get to hear the songs you want.
Zane
Yes.
Heath
That was really cool.
Matt
Nice touch. I dance my ass off. Okay. But then this was the coolest thing. So, like, there were talks about an after party. But then we walk out, we get on a bus, and I go, oh, the after party is like, we gotta go back to downtown Santa Barbara. I'm like, I, I. In my head I'm thinking, oh, this is like the after party is just us all going and showing off the, off the property in town. And then we get in that shuttle bus and we are in that shuttle bus for less than two minutes. And you pull up and they have this full on other barn.
Heath
Hanger on the property.
Zane
That's how massive property is.
Matt
And I thought I showed up to like a street food fair.
Heath
It looked like the, the 626 market.
Mariah
It was.
Zane
Yeah.
Mariah
We have this thing here called the 626 market. I think it's only.
Heath
I think it's spreading it. They're, they're popping up in different locations now around here.
Mariah
It's a Korean market, right?
Heath
Yeah, it's like, like different, like vendors and stuff. They'll have like drinks and Food and, like, entertainment. It's like a really cool, like, little festival that we always go to.
Mariah
They basically had their own called the Parsons Polo Club. It was out of control.
Matt
They had merch. Some of the best wedding merch, obviously.
Mariah
Sweatshirts, bandanas, hats. They had everything. They had a claw machine with labubus and some.
Matt
My heart was pounded when I saw it.
Mariah
You guys heard.
Matt
I did not shake it.
Mariah
I have a video. I have a video. Bretman shaking. I have a video of you winning.
Matt
Oh, that was a great moment. And yes, because right when I got there, because I heard whispers from the night before that labubus were in the mix. I thought they were under our seats. I was checking everywhere. I'm like, when is the laboo happening? And then I see the vending machine. I beeline. I let someone go. Bretman is there, and he goes. And because they're all organized, like, in the back, like a pyramid stacked on top of each other, but you couldn't really get the claw to pull on them. And I will say the claw was on easy mode, which is good. So it was a little bit more pressure. That's how claw machines work. Because they get, like, every other pressure of the claw. Yeah.
Zane
Oh.
Matt
So they put it in easy mode. So it's. And one of the boo boos fell. And even. But I was so nervous because the line was getting big, and I'm like, do I get two shots? One shot. Is this like a. You're back.
Zane
Are you standing until you win something, or do you have to, like.
Matt
I don't. I.
Zane
It.
Matt
The whole line is giving me anxiety. I won on the first try. I got it. Thrilled, thrilled.
Heath
Let's see it now.
Matt
Well, well. So then I open up my labubu, and I got this, like, pink labubu, which I was like, oh, my first laboo. But I wanted, like, one of the classic ones. Like, the ones that look. The ones. Well, I'll show you. Like, the ones that are, like, more of, like, the classic pastel colors. I didn't want. Mine looked like a fur furby.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
It was like pink tie dye. And this woman, Ellen and her daughter at the wedding. Nicest people. They were like. I don't know. They were the people with the watches. Those matching watches. Oh, yes. This one. And I go, ellen, I'll trade you for mine. And I think mine is, like, newer and rare.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
I wanted the classic. We made the deal. We shook hands, and I got my first labubu.
Zane
And it matches your bag, too.
Matt
Thank you.
Zane
Yeah, I like It.
Matt
Yeah. Little bag charm.
Zane
So that's how. So how much do Labus go for retail price?
Matt
I think they're like 50 to 70 bucks, right? But.
Heath
But they're hard to get, so people, like, resell them. Either already opened or they sell.
Zane
Can't you just go to Pop Mart and buy a Labu?
Heath
Good luck.
Matt
It's like. It's like. Or Pop Mart, like, has them, but they go. But you have to come back on days. We drop them. Them. Because these are just for, like, show. But you have to either follow the website, which drop on random days, or you have to go get in line. They're very hard to get.
Zane
Interesting. Okay. Okay.
Heath
No, I literally went to one of those stores and asked for those because it was Remy's birthday.
Mariah
Oh, yeah.
Heath
And I was trying.
Mariah
That's what we were trying to find. And we didn't know the name of them, so we were like, they're like these little, like, monsters. We had no idea the name.
Heath
They said what it was, and I was like, yeah, I want to get, like, a couple of those for my friend. And she literally laughed at me like a Turboman doll. Oh, you wanted Lububu. Oh, good luck. And I was like.
Zane
Like a Turbo man doll.
Heath
I was like, what do you. They're like, it's the hottest thing in the world right now. You're not. You can't just walk in and buy it like that. I'm like, okay. I didn't know. I felt. Matt. I felt so stupid, the way that they laughed at me. Like, I was.
Matt
Yeah, it's like getting a reservation at Dorsia.
Zane
I felt, oh, you know those Labubus. I was reading somewhere online, the guy, the. The founder of, like, Pop Mart, that. That put out the Labubus. It's. He's. He's grown to, like, a nine billion dollar, like, empire. Those Labubus have had him blow up after ever since, like, Rihanna had it on her purse and everybody started buying it. Like, the whole, like, I think in like, a month or something, he grew $1.9 billion.
Matt
Brilliant. All the other collectibles as well. Like, Labubu, the character has been around since, like, 2015. It was like this Hong Kong artist who had this children's book called the Monsters trilogy, like, slowly brought the characters was Labubu, who is, like, this mischievous little character. And then 2018, Pop Mart did a partnership with them and started making the Labuboos. But then the craze just went wild over the past, like, two years. So, I mean, I Still think it's a little bit of a Beanie Baby craze, but I'm just glad I got my hands on one.
Zane
Yeah.
Matt
Manifested, now that I think about it.
Zane
Maybe I should just have one on me just for, like, you know.
Heath
Hold on.
Matt
What you got yours? Oh. Oh, boy. Look at these bag charms. There is like, how many you got on there?
Heath
These. These are the ones that she got for me that are all SpongeBob characters.
Matt
Yeah, the little fish people of SpongeBob.
Zane
You so are. Wait, are those like Labo Boo but spongebob, or is it Pop Mark, like.
Heath
Kind of like same world type thing. But you.
Matt
You.
Zane
You get that from, like, Pop Mart, like, where you get a Labubu from, right?
Heath
Yeah, those, like, type of stores. They sell, like, different kinds.
Matt
You know, it's a mystery box. You don't know which one you get. That also creates the hype because everyone's.
Zane
Like, they're not mystery box. They're blind boxes.
Matt
Blind boxes. Pardon me.
Heath
Good.
Zane
Sorry. You know, you just learned a lot from rem.
Heath
Oh, sorry. But back to the hangar. Absolutely insane. There was also a Habit food truck.
Matt
Domino's.
Heath
Domino's station.
Mariah
What's that? Fruit dipped in the shatter glass.
Heath
Sugar. Yes.
Zane
Boy, where were you? I saw that. I saw the Habit truck and I saw the. The corn dog station. I saw the.
Heath
I think I had every single fruit you could possibly have dipped in that.
Mariah
It was amazing.
Matt
Fantastic. And then there was. I forgot the name of it. I wish I could remember one of the Korean street food ones there. They had.
Heath
No, Matt. The bulgogi grilled cheese. Yes, that was.
Matt
And the sauce they had on the side.
Heath
Makes no sense.
Matt
Could compete with cane sauce in terms of, like, incredible sauceness. I ate so much. I ate more at that street fair than I did or at the street fair, those vendors, than I did at the actual wedding.
Heath
That will go.
Zane
I. I just love a. I love a good event like reception, where just food, it just goes throughout the whole night, the whole day. Keep going. Keep it coming.
Heath
They had don't stop of their life.
Zane
Yeah.
Heath
They were so happy.
Zane
I wonder if. I wonder if Remy has any more merch. I need a. I need a copy merch. Oh, I'm sure she probably has, like, extras, right?
Heath
Yeah.
Zane
Just so I can get.
Matt
You didn't even grab merch?
Zane
No, I was drunk. When I'm drunk, I'm not hungry. I don't, like, want to carry anything.
Matt
I just have a wife. Just go, hold this, hold this, hold this.
Heath
Just throw it in, like A big bag.
Zane
Yeah. Yeah. I felt like the next day I was hung over. I really let myself go that night.
Heath
It's all right.
Zane
I was celebrating.
Matt
It's all good, Zane. It's all good.
Zane
Me and Remy's that were getting after it, though.
Matt
Fighting.
Zane
No, no.
Matt
Scrapping it up.
Zane
Just. Just scrapping it up.
Matt
Everybody was cool.
Zane
There was.
Matt
I made so. I made so many friends, too.
Mariah
I texted Remy that. I said, we made so many friends.
Matt
Oh, my gosh.
Mariah
Everybody in their life is so sweet. Their families. I'm like. I literally was like, where have your families been our whole lives? Like, everybody gets along so well. It was really fun.
Heath
And Remy's brother.
Matt
Oh, Cal's brother. Oh. There's also so many because Cal's from. Well, he's like, Wisconsin roots, right? And then there's, like, some guys from Minnesota. Wisconsin. I was at the back of the bus with them. Those accents, like, oh, hi. Oh, yeah, sure. Huh? Oh, yeah. You've been in Madison. Oh, yeah, of course. You know, we play hockey. I'm just like, keep talking. I. I love that those types of regional accents, because you don't hear them at all out here. Just. Oh, of course. Yeah, sure.
Heath
Yeah, you betcha.
Matt
That was a super nice wedding. Super neat.
Mariah
It sounds Irish.
Zane
It could sound Irish, but it's like, almost like that.
Matt
Canadian. It's like, borderline almost like Canadian, too.
Heath
Yeah, kind of. What my. My grandparents used to talk, like, Swedish, Norwegian.
Matt
Yeah, very.
Heath
Minnesota.
Matt
Or it's like, you know, pizza or Pittsburgh or. How do they talk in Pittsburgh? Homeowner. Oh, down in Pittsburgh. Homeowner association.
Zane
Oh, my God. Who's that sound like? Like, what? Big care. Like, famous character.
Matt
Mayor of East Town. Mayor of East Town. Kate Winslet does a Pittsburgh accent. And I was like that. She says she's British, right?
Zane
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay.
Matt
But I think that's impressive when, like, a British actress can just nail a regional American accent.
Zane
British people can do any accent.
Matt
I know.
Zane
It's insane.
Heath
It's pretty crazy.
Matt
Yeah.
Zane
Americans suck at it, though. You could tell it. Americans, like, suck at accents.
Matt
Oh, yeah.
Zane
When they try to do, like, a British accent, it's like. Just does not. Not. Does not hit.
Matt
Besides, probably Renee Zellweger and Bridget Jones is dying.
Zane
She's. She's.
Matt
She's a Texan.
Zane
Oh, my God.
Matt
But she. She. Apparently her British accent is so good wherever, like, all Brits, like, agree. Renee Zellweger is the best American to ever play a British person. Like, which is. That's a great title. Take On Shout Out Renee's Allweg.
Heath
Our.
Zane
WI fi went down. We were dealing with the same thing as you.
Matt
Someone hit a box.
Zane
No, but they. Somebody vandalized somebody took scissors and cut. I was like, the spectrum WI fi or something. Everybody that has spectrum in this, like, pretty much city, they. They were out of WI fi.
Mariah
If I can't have WI fi, nobody.
Matt
I've been like that lately.
Zane
Yeah, but it was crazy because we thought it was just our WI fi.
Mariah
So you're getting it back at this point, there's no way.
Matt
Yeah, Because I go down to the golden goose all the time. Now I have their number because they're the one people that are in front of it. And their WI fi is out.
Zane
Still out.
Matt
I bet they're gon give me some free golden gooses after this. Because we have a relationship like this.
Zane
Or they're sick of you. Yeah, it's this guy again.
Matt
In San Francisco, one of their stores went out, and it was out for like, three months. Because of a similar situation like this. I think I'm gonna switch from. Wait, do you have a spectrum or AT T? I'm gonna switch to spectrum now.
Mariah
Maybe that was meant to be.
Matt
Yeah, Yeah.
Zane
I was. He switches spectrum, but the. The. Yeah, the guy cuts the wire as soon as he hooks up.
Mariah
Up.
Zane
No, it's. It's crazy. Like, I. That whole day, I just. Because I. I have also have no service in this area. I can't make calls. I have to FaceTime audio every time. Every time I talk to somebody in this house. So we had no WI fi and I had no signal. I literally had to, like, leave the street whenever I wanted to contact anybody, text, call, whatever. And then, like, as I'm like, going back and forth, going. Have to go to the coffee shop to, like, upload something in my head. I'm like, we'd be. So does a society, like, if we. If we just lost signal and WI fi when. It's crazy because we didn't have signal and WI fi everywhere like, 15, 20 years ago.
Matt
I know. Count your blessings. Our AC finally got. They put it back on today. Our AC went out for like, three or four days.
Heath
Right. Oh, in this heat.
Zane
Oh, my God.
Matt
Going to bed, like, with just all these fans on us. I have to, like, just be shirtless, basically, in my underwear.
Zane
No, you have to.
Matt
Yeah, I have a sweatband on. And. But it makes you so grateful because there are a lot of people out in the world who do not.
Zane
Yes.
Matt
Ac. And it makes you realize I was thinking About.
Zane
I also like. It reminded me that whenever I went to Lebanon, we would. Half the day you'd have no electricity or like Internet. You'd have to just deal with it. And it happened any time of the day. It could happen in the middle of the night. It could happen at 3pm it could happen anytime. You're. It just goes out and then you have to make your Just figure it out. Like go out of the house, play some soccer. You just have no electricity or WI fi.
Matt
There's a lot of people in LA who have just like window AC units and stuff.
Heath
Those are amazing though.
Matt
They work.
Heath
I every. Every single window AC unit I've ever had was the best. Never had an issue. Ice. Ice cold. Never broke.
Zane
Can you. Can you get a nice one where it doesn't. It doesn't.
Matt
It doesn't look like nicer one. And they have ones that you can like wall mount on.
Heath
I have. Well, it's not a wall one, but I have one in my garage because I don't have. My garage is separate.
Matt
Yeah.
Heath
There's no AC in there, but I routed the tube that comes out the back of it to go out one of the hole vents at the floor out the back of the garage.
Matt
Oh, perfect.
Heath
And it is ice.
Matt
Ice.
Zane
Oh, is that the box that you were telling me about that you guys have that connects to the. The.
Heath
Yes. So I have a tube that runs out. It's like a big white kind of like AC unit like this on wheels. And I can pull it. The tube gets stretched to run out the back of the thing and it. Those are.
Zane
Do you pretty much use that for whenever you're like working on your car?
Heath
Yeah, when I'm in the garage. I'll turn those on.
Zane
Yeah, that's nice.
Heath
Yeah, they're great.
Zane
Love them.
