I finished it. The baby blue one? No, the baby blue one was for my cousin Lindsay. The yellow one was for Teddy because I did yellow because they did not know the gender until the day of the birth. So that's why I went with yellow. But I just finished.

God. I literally thought crocheting was just. It's like thick, thick yarn with a thick, like, I've seen, like, big ones.

You're kind of almost using one the whole time, right?

You use one and you just use your hand. It's basically just like through and hook and pull. Through and hook and pull. Like, crochet has hooks at the end of the sticks. Knitting does not.

[Heath]

Can I. How long does it take to like, make something this big? I want. Because I want to make 30 minutes. I want to make one for crocheting.

[Matt]

Crochet you can get more work and faster. For me, that would take me three, four hours, probably.

[Heath]

And that's why I'm crocheting.

It takes me one line across is like 10 to 15 minutes. And I have to do that over.

To the point where you can put designs and stuff or like, are you colors?

[Matt]

Great question. I am capable of it. I just always am. Like, I don't. Because after you make so much progress, I get so nervous to bring in a new colored yard because you're going to screw it up. So right now I. I've actually been working on, like, a lovey that I think I'm. I'm actually not in love with anymore. But I'm gonna use that as my guinea pig to start testing it out.

I always just wanted to do, like, the little. What are they called? Grandma squares. What are they called?

[Matt]

Yes, yes. The crocheting squares. You can make a big blanket.

You make a bunch of little squares and then you put it all together for one big.

Blanket or outfit, whatever. But I'm gonna stick to crocheting. If it takes that long to knit, I don't have time for that.

And I want to get into stuffed animals too. I want to knit like a duck or like a teddy bear or like something like that.

What's the one? That's a circle where you pull it really tight and then you put the trim around and you, like, bracket it down. Do you know what I'm talking about? It's a circle.

And then you put the shit in it. And then you put the other circle.

Oh, yeah. The one that I bought. I have a hot dog one.

Do you remember I used to do the. It was like, this plastic net, and you would make, like, a rug almost, and it would go like. I'll show you a picture.

I don't even know how to describe it. Yeah.

It basically is kind of like you make, like, a shag rug kind of.

Yeah. I mean, that's literally how you make shag rugs, because they're all like, every bottom like that.

Do you remember when I bought that rug gun?

[Matt]

Yes.

You kind of do the same thing where you nail the borders of the wood and then you stretch it out on.

Right? And. Yeah, that's fun. Making is fun, but, you know, it's. You got to go out and do it.

There's. There's no. Okay. I was about to say it's like, there's no way someone knitted that. And it only costs, like, and a lot.

And there's even like, these little, like, plastic contraption things where you can thread the yarn in, and it can make, like, a beanie in, like, less than 10 minutes, so. Which I'm a little, like, if that's what you want to do. Like, I know Abby on Love of the Spectrum, she makes a little beanies doing that, but, you know, hey, but you can.

You could definitely make it easier on a. It's. It's honestly 100% a hobby.

Yes. Like, it's. No knowing that, like, you put your. Your heart, mind, and sweat and tears into making something, and it took that long. That's.

You have to sell your baby blankets for a thousand dollars to, like, make, like, hourly wage.

[Heath]

Yeah.

I would have to sell mine for, like, 200, $300. That's time. Right. But if it was my day job and I was busting them out all the time and spending my entire day on it, I would maybe charge less. But for me, it's Just that's like.

I would, I would start getting machines.

Yeah. After this baby blanket, I then get a. I don't know, start to do maybe little beanies or something or the stuffed animals. I want to switch it up. The baby blankets.

Are you able to transition to a different type of pattern? So if you were doing a sweater, can you then do like a collar or like cuffs?

Yeah, yeah. I can read patterns. Like so it's almost like reading music where it will say K2P1 K2. That means like knit two times, purl once, knit two times. And so when you're able to read that and you work your way up so you're following.

Hell, I'm already getting shattered.

But mine's just basic, all the way across. We're knit purling, knit purling, which turns into a seed stitch. Speaking of clothes, just a pivot. How often do you guys wash your jeans?

Now? I. Every time I wear it once I throw it in the dirty.

I know you really shouldn't, but for my mental being, as soon as I wear something, I have to wash it because I also. They fit the best after the dryer.

I don't like the way they fit after one. After one wear. I hate the way they fit on me.

They feel dirty and they feel loose too. Like, it just doesn't.

Just backsplash. But I apologize to him, because then everyone started laughing, and I was like, I should have not made that joke.

But if I do. If I do, slash, I do get a little bit more water, and it Just makes it look like I still.

You know when you wash your hands and you put your stomach too close to the sink, but, like the sink is all wet. That's what I make it look like happened. Because I'm pretty good with it.

It's better to have a lot of drops than have one specific drop.

So back. So this. I have like a little infographic that says how often you need to wash certain items. Four jeans. It says after five to six wears.

Well, I don't know. I feel like if you have more surface area, it probably creates more sweat and like, like.

Underwear everywhere.

The items they say to wash after everywhere are socks, socks, underwear, swimwear, gym wear, white clothes, silk clothes, and formal dresses.

There's been times when I've had to put the same socks back on. And the. You just know they're already stretched out. They've got that angle for the big toe where you already had it on and.

[Heath]

But that, you know, you know you're clean, though. When you wear socks for half the day, I take it off. Right. But this is like when I'm traveling and I, like, didn't pack enough socks. I'm like, fuck, I gotta wear it again. And the socks smell clean. Yes. Oh, you never feel clean. Or you're like, oh, I know I don't stink today.

[Matt]

Like after I take my night shower and then I'm like, putting on my PJs and I put on brand new socks. I then take those off, keep them by my nightstand, and when I wake up, I put them back on because I only wore them for.

[Mariah]

I've done that two hours.

[Heath]

Yeah, but it's nice.

[Matt]

Yeah. When you get that they're still good. You get that little sniff. You're like this.

[Mariah]

I purposely put on socks to go to bed just to take them off right before I fall asleep.

[Matt]

Sleep.

[Mariah]

Oh, you're about wearing socks to bed. Like, people are like, how could you wear socks to bed? I do, but I do it and then. Right. It's. It almost like, puts me to sleep. I, like, use my feet to take them off.

[Zane]

Yeah. And then. And then there's.

[Heath]

And then, like, a bedtime story.

He pairs of socks every time we make the bed. There's actually in the crevices.

I wish socks, though, like, had an expiration date on them because, like, I'm never like, I. Yeah, I guess you can't tell, but I'm just like, I. How long have I had this sock? Yeah, it's gotta go.

I know we've said it before, but, like, I've never gotten a blowout in a sock. And I don't know how people. As soon as there's a hole in the trash, there's people that'll take their shoes off and there'll be a big toe hanging out. And I'm like, how are you going walking on concrete?

So. So I know.

How do you go about your day with it?

[Heath]

I wear myself. I wore. Oh, yeah, yeah. But like, I get socks in my holes a lot. Because I got holes in my socks a lot. The way when you said I was like, let's stop. Stop laughing at me. But anyway. But it's all right. I use my. I use my socks to walk around. Even, like, when I'm, like, working out the gym, I'm in my socks a lot. So I'm just, like, on that ground on the concrete.

[Zane]

Maybe it's because I never take my shoes off.

[Mariah]

I hate putting shoes on. I'm always, like, outside with socks on. Like, I just.

[Matt]

Just. How often do you. Raw dog, like, foot. No. Sock in a shoe.

[Heath]

Never.

Because it stinks.

I've done it sometimes, like Birkins, like my.

My Birkenstocks. I'll wear those.

And I feel like that's the quickest way to make your. Make your shoes, like, stay.

I used to only wear those and it would have that little tiny, like rubber gripper on the back of the heel so they don't slide off the Pilates socks. No, not. It's on the inside. So it's on your skin so you.

I've noticed ever since I stopped drinking, I don't have to wash it after everything. I don't sweat. I don't, like, have that musk from when I would drink and wear a suit. Like, how do I get that?

Because we were in a party bus for pretty much the whole. So we stayed in New York City. We stayed in, like, what area. Did you see my location?

So we were far. We were all aware with. It was like, it's gonna be a far drive because that's where we're going to the festival the next day. We're like, oh, okay.

They probably didn't want to be traffic all the way out in the Hamptons. At least you're, like, close to the city.

[Heath]

It was either. It was either you're close to the festival or you're close to the airport.

[Matt]

There's not, like, there's not that much real estate out in the Hamptons or, like, there's not, like, it's a cozy, like, bed and breakfast boutiques. There's not, like, massive, massive, massive.

[Heath]

Is it, like, Key west where it's, like, everything's very congested. Or is it.

[Mariah]

There's a lot of space. It's huge.

[Zane]

It's like a lot of houses. Like, it's basically like, property.

[Mariah]

I call it like the diving board of New New York.

[Matt]

Like, at the end of the world.

Oh, it is so long. It takes so long to get to Montauk.

[Matt]

Jeez. Okay. So we were in a party bus, like a packed party bus, pretty much the whole drive up. And we wanted to keep the blinds down because it was really hot. And it was really hot with everybody in there, too. We're like. So I didn't. We didn't really. I didn't really get to see what the Hamptons look like. I still don't know what the Hamptons look like because we. We got dropped off and all you saw was, like, woods, and we're like, oh, wow. Okay. And then we get into this festival and you don't really see much. And all the grass was, like, pretty dead.

[Zane]

I didn't see, like, the crazy houses.

[Heath]

No. I feel like I did not get to. I. I need to go to Hampton still. I need to go to the Hamptons.

[Matt]

I think Hamptons are. Unless you know somebody who has a house in the Hamptons and it's not their parents house, it's their house. It's worth it. Hamptons, I think, are so overrated. There's not that many Ubers and, like, lifts out there. You really have to, like, call. Yeah. Cab to get you there.

[Heath]

Yes.

[Matt]

There's no cell phone signal hardly anywhere because all those old rich people don't want cell phone towers out there.

[Heath]

I remember we got back in and I had, like, 30 missed texts because they. All them didn't come in.

[Mariah]

There to stay in a nice house.

[Matt]

Yes.

Like, if I got an Airbnb there, I would.

[Heath]

That would be my vacation. Like, on the water.

[Heath]

Yeah. I feel like that's definitely how you have to do it. Okay, so you see the third picture up there? There. I saw. I saw that they invited different influencers there and they did a whole, like, thing the day before the festival where they went to Surf Lodge. They went to. They had Surf Lodge. I didn't. It was like, other influencers. And then they took him to Surf Lodge. They had them at a house like this, and they like, they're doing all this. I think it was like, with a revolver or something. I was like, oh, that's. I feel like that's the Hamptons. That I. That I, in my head was imagined.

[Matt]

What was the music festival? What was it called?

[Heath]

It was called Palm Tree Music Festival.

[Matt]

What kind of music was it?

[Heath]

So it's Kygo. You know Kygo, the dj created it. I think he was the one that started the festival. So he obviously performs at every single Palm Tree Music Fest. And then he'll have like different DJs, like, headline.

[Matt]

Oh, cool.

[Heath]

And I feel like it's getting bigger and bigger because they just had one of the Hamptons and they're about to have another one at like Saint Tropez or Saint Tropez.

[Matt]

Yeah.

[Heath]

I don't know. I don't know my fancy tropical islands yet, but. Yeah, but like there was a lot of people. A lot of people showed up.

[Matt]

But it was because I've never really been to. I've been to a festival, but like the only one I really know is Coachella.

So coming to this, how was it? I was like, oh, wow, they only have two stages.

[Matt]

It's like a boutique festival.

Yeah, it's a very boutique festival. And it's like for people that love.

[Zane]

Is it house music one that we went to in Chicago? Like that type of. No, no, no, not Lala. It was the other, other one when we went pitch. Pitch.

Oh my God.

Y' all went to Pitchfork.

[Heath]

It was one of our first, I think, festivals outside of Ultra. Have you ever been to Ultra?

[Zane]

I never went to Ultra.

[Heath]

Okay. So it was his first festival. My second festival that I've ever been to is called Pitchfork. And we got this like last minute job.

[Zane]

We go there, we got a job to like do something with like these foams phones. It was like.

[Heath]

I know exactly the phone. It was the HTC phones that they just came out with.

[Zane]

Yeah, it was the HTC phone. So we got to give them away to people at the festival.

[Heath]

But it was boring. It was a terrible day.

[Zane]

Really bad.

[Heath]

Really bad. But it was really funny because. Not funny, but it was perfect because we were handing out to people that just broke their phones. So it was like a perfect little moment that we were having with these people because I don't think it was random. We were like finding people that broke their phones.

[Zane]

Like people that had like either dropped it in the water there or.

[Matt]

Right.

[Zane]

Had cracked screens and trucks like that.

[Heath]

It was a lot of people. I think we could have given out like 50 phones that day.

[Matt]

Wow.

[Heath]

With that. Because it was like. I think it was like a very unexpected just storm that went through Pitchfork and I'm surprised they didn't even shut it down. But apparently people there were like, no, this is like, people out here, they don't care. Like, this is here for the music. And, you know, they really were there for the music because they were. They were at the stages when it was pouring for these artists.

I've never heard of Chance the Rapper.

[Heath]

Oh, yeah.

Like, I like Grimes, and Pitchfork turned me on to Grimes when I read their review for Art Angels. And. And I was like, oh, this is. I never really knew who Grimes was until, like, Pitchfork shined a spotlight on her. And it made me see her in a different light because she produces everything. She's not just some person who goes into a studio with a beat already made and lyrics already written for her. She makes it all.

And as we're on our way there on the party, this is like, my first time meeting, like, everybody on the bus. I'm so. This kid next to me, his name is Vincent. He is a. So I can't imagine someone's out for six months.

And like, oh, when my cousins moved to Australia, like, because I knew them as Americans and they moved there for 10 years, their accents changed completely. And I was like, what in the world? It's just like, you knew them before, and then now they just. They adapt.

In my brain, where I go, well, they just got the house. There's no way she's pregnant right now. It's going to be once they move.

[Heath]

I kept telling Patricia in my head, too. I was like, there's no way.

Patricia has been this. I'm like, you're. You're delusional. She's not pregnant.

I would, like, I think of the timeline and if we were to, like, wait until we moved, say it was February, I. I'd be 32 when my first was born. And I want, like, a lot of kids.

So that, like that trying to get.

Yeah. I'm already gonna be 31, so.

It's just. You want to wait until you're at a stable place for you to come forward and share your announcement to the world.
