This is Scott Becker with the Becker Healthcare podcast. These are seven of the stories that we are following today. And it's it's a very busy week in health care even though it's the week of Thanksgiving. So. So first, CMS bumps outpatient hospital rates and more. 14 notes a lengthy story in this at Becker's Healthcare they bump out patient rates. Not that much but hopefully it helps some and we'll see how that goes. Second, Trinity Health, a great not for profit system. Attorney Health working to combat headwinds in the healthcare sector in a good story there. Third, UCHealth freezes hiring temporarily. They've essentially said they're going to try and have a hiring freeze at the end of the year. We'll see how that goes. Fourth, the big for profit systems largely outperforming financially the not for profit systems. The gap is growing. There's a discussion there at Bachkers Healthcare. Fifth, Mayo Clinic, one of the best health systems in the world post terrific increases in margins this last quarter. That's Mayo Clinic. Sixth, 30 Health Systems is getting larger and again seems more and more larger systems are doing okay. The really small systems are really struggling and we see more and more large systems continuing to try and add weight, add size and grow. Seventh, an ongoing list that we keep 91 hospitals that are cutting jobs. That's put together by Kelly Kuch and Kristin Kuchnu and again a little bit of the sign of the times that we've got 91 systems cutting jobs. And that's an ongoing list. That's not just a one time this week. Lastly, I'll just note that we have our annual meeting coming up in April. We'll have nearly 800 speakers added. That's April 13th to 16th and overall a fantastic event. Thrilled to be in. Looking forward to that. We'll be adding in this year for the first time the Oncology Summit. We've also got the Pay A Roundtable there, the Chief Pharmacy Officer Summit and a couple other co located great events like the Behavioral Health Summit. So looking forward to that. Again these are several of the stories that were following today at Becker's Healthcare. Thank you so much for listening to the Becker's Healthcare podcast. Thank you very, very much.
