Welcome to the Book More Clients Photography Podcast. You can stop spending hours on Google and YouTube because you just found your number one resource for growing a profitable and sustainable photography business. Hi, I'm Brooke Jefferson. I'm a believer wife, mama to two and Oklahoma family photographer. I left the classroom in 2018 to pursue my photography career full time. Now I'm here to help you do the same. In this podcast we're covering the most asked about topics including pricing, marketing, client experience and all things systems and workflows. You won't find any fluff or BS here. Just tried and true strategy. Are you ready? Grab your kids some snacks and charge those camera batteries. It's time to jump in Foreign we are rounding out March with a super fun episode. I'm giving you a sneak peek at what you get in the market like a tog membership. Plus you can take all five of these content ideas and use them for your own social media content. This week, grab something to write with and let's get into it. One of the main reasons that I created my membership market like a tog is because I have heard from photographers for years that they don't know what to say, they don't know what type of content to create and they're really confused on how to market their business. So I wanted to equip photographers with the tools to make marketing easier to understand and easy to use so that they could see that with consistency and good content that they could increase their leads and their bookings. Because at the end of the day that is what you are doing this for, right? You're taking time out of your day to listen to this episode so that you can have the photography business that you desire. So in this episode I simply want to give you a sneak peek into the type of content that they receive every single month. There are several other resources and we will get into that at the end of this episode, but this is my favorite because they get a monthly content calendar and it takes the guesswork out of knowing what to say and and what kind of content they need to create. So here are five posts that you can use for your own photography business and your niche. The first one we're going to get into is written for a senior photographer and the goal of this is to create a reel and this one is specifically outcome based and so you'll see what I mean as I read to you the hook and a sample caption. So the hook says pov which stands for point of view. You almost didn't book your senior photos because you didn't feel photogenic, then you did it anyway. So picture a reel on your screen and it has a behind the scenes video of you photographing a senior, or what, whoever your client is. And it's got text overlay which reads the hook that I just read. And then in the caption, which is the area where you talk about what your post is about, then it says something like, almost every senior I photograph says some version of the same thing before their session. I'm really awkward in front of the camera. I never look good in pictures. I don't know what to do with my hands. And then we start shooting and something shifts. Because the truth is it was never about being photogenic. It was about feeling comfortable enough to just be yourself. And that's exactly what I'm here for as your senior photographer. By the end of your senior session, the photos are going to show exactly who you are right now and you'll be saying, I can't believe how good these are. Senior year is one of those chapters that goes faster than anyone warns you about. Don't let the fear of the camera be the reason that you don't book your senior session. So that's an example of how you would pair that caption with the reel that you are showing. And so the whole point is, what is your ideal client thinking? What, what's an excuse or an objection that is holding them back from booking you? And then tweak this to fit your niche. Second example, this one is written for a family photographer and this can be in the form of either a single image or you could turn this into a reel. And the goal of this piece of content is simply to connect with your ideal client. So the hook reads, around here we share genuine chaos and all family photos and real motherhood. If you're a mama trying to capture the season before it slips by, I would love for you to follow me. And then in the caption, that's when you can talk about the type of photography that you do. So you can reassure her that maybe you're more candid. Maybe you say something like, there's no pretending here that your toddler didn't have a meltdown in the parking lot before the camera ever turned on. Like, you can connect with her saying something that's going to resonate with her and it's going to break down that barrier of, oh, I'm embarrassed or I'm worried my kids won't cooperate. And then that's when you jump in and you say, you know, like, I can totally handle the chaos. I'm a mama of three myself, or, you know, I'm Brooke, I photograph real families and I talk a lot about motherhood because it's the season that I'm in too. And then you just explain, like, what they can expect on your page. So that is an example of a hook where you were simply telling your ideal client what you're about. So you would put for yourself around here we. Or I. Right. Depending on, you know, if you're wanting it to feel more collective or if you're wanting to explain what you personally do. So it's around here we. Around here we share and then fill in the blank with the type of niche that you do and describe it. And then also what is a content pillar that you talk about? So it's not just photography that you're sharing about on your page. You also have to have something to your brand. And so for this photographer example, her brand is very much about real motherhood on top of creating photographs for families. So. And then you're just telling them, you know what, you know, if you're a fill in the blank of who your ideal client is, I'd love for you to follow. And so that's basically the hook that you're going to use. And again, this could be a brand photo, this could be a reel that's kind of a compilation of all the things that you do. You turn this into whatever you want it to be. But your goal is to connect and introduce yourself to your ideal client. Number three, this one is written for a newborn photographer. And this can be a carousel or it can be a real. It just kind of depends how you want to put it together. The goal of this piece of content is to educate your ideal client. So the hook on this one says how to prep for newborn photos when you're running on two hours of sleep and cold coffee. So again, we're talking very specifically to this type of ideal client for this newborn photographer. And then in the caption, maybe it says something like, first of all, mama, you're doing amazing. Second, your newborn session does not require you to have it all together. That's kind of the whole point of hiring me. Here's what actually matters in the days leading up to your newborn session. Number one, here's a tip. Number two, here's a tip. Number three, here's a tip. I know you're exhausted and you haven't showered and nothing fits, right? But get in these pictures anyway. These are the photos your kids are going to treasure someday, and so are you. So there you go. It's connection, but it's educating at the same time. So it's making you an expert in your field. The fourth one written for a brand photographer. This can be a single image or this can be a carousel. The whole goal here is to ask for the booking. We are trying to do a conversion based post, meaning that we don't want our ideal client just to hit like on our post or to comment below. We actually want them to take action. And so here's an example of how you can do that as a brand photographer. The hook is the version of your business you've been building toward deserves photos that actually show it. So you're explaining the power of brand photos with the level of business that they desire to have. And so the caption might say something like, you've done the work, you have figured out your offer or your product, you have found your people and you figured out what you actually do and who you do it for. And your brand photos should show all of that. It shouldn't show where you started or a version of you that felt safe at that very beginning time. It's the one that you are right now. You're confident about what you do, you're clear about what you offer, and you're ready to connect with the right people who need what you have to offer. That's what a brand session with me is all about. Not just giving you pretty photos, but images that finally feel like the business you've worked so hard to build. Quarter two is a fresh start. If you've been thinking about booking your brand start session, this is your sign. So something like that. Okay, again, these are just what I've kind of put together as examples for you. I really did base these, by the way, everything that I'm sharing on April's content calendar, but I switched them up so that we would have a ton of different ways to talk about each one. So the last one is written for a wedding photographer and this one is meant to be in the form of a real. You could also turn this into a carousel. But the, the goal of this piece of content is to show off your client experience. This is where a lot of the behind the scenes footage that you have photographed or videoed or whatever, you know, however you're documenting your behind the scenes, this is where a lot of that is going to come into play. So the hook here says what you think hiring a wedding photographer is like versus what it's actually like when you work with me. And so in this caption, you Want not. Not just the caption in the real. This is where you want to show video footage or photographs of you going above and beyond. And so it's not you showing these really, like, stiff poses, but it's more about, like, how do you show up for your clients that goes beyond the call of duty. So, for example, can you be seen helping the bride, you know, tie her wedding dress bow in the back? Are you doing something extra? Are you, you know, do you feel like an extra bridesmaid that day? Do you feel like you can work a room and so you're. You're talking and chatting with a bunch of their guests? You know what I mean? So how can you showcase that you go above and beyond and give your ideal client a glimpse at what it's actually like to work with you? So that is how you would tie that piece of content together. So before I let you go, those five content ideas that we just went over, that is one tiny piece of what you get inside my membership every single month. Market Like a Tog is my monthly membership for photographers who are done winging their marketing and who are ready to actually have a plan and the tools to get consistent with their content. Every month you get a full content calendar, and you don't just get 5. You get 30 of those content ideas. You get 5 real ideas with the hooks, the captions, and the instructions so that you know exactly how to film it and put it together. You get an email newsletter template with the copy already written for you. You just need to go in and customize it to fit your business. You get a marketing training and sometimes two marketing trainings on specific topics so that you're always learning something you can actually use. And how I come up with these trainings to give you is I literally ask the photographers in the membership what they want to learn, get it on a list, and then every month I start pumping that content out. So lots of good stuff. And of course, the best part is that every single month, we do a live group coaching call where you can bring your questions and get direct feedback from me. And if you're someone that works full time, I do too. I totally get it. I just went through a program. I was able to hop on two or three of the calls, but most of them I just had to watch the replay. We do give replays and we do allow you to submit your questions ahead of time. So don't worry, you can still get coaching from me even if you can't show up. We do coaching calls usually the first Friday of every month at 1pm Central Standard Time. So you get all of this every single month for just $50, which I just want to point out is probably less than what you spend on coffee in a month. It's literally less than $2 a day. And I don't know that they even sell coffee that cheap. So I just want to put that into perspective because I I know what it's like to have a budget, but I also know what it's like to invest in yourself and get the tools to help you get more leads and bookings. So if you feel like this is the membership for you, you want to try it out, you want to be there on our next coaching call, come join us. Next coaching call is Friday, April 3rd. You can check out all of the details@brookejefferson.com membership I will link that in the show notes as well. And I would genuinely love to see you inside. Come connect with our amazing photographers and of course me. I love to personalize things for your business and I want you to be able to say this. Truly the best thing I've ever invested in for my business. Just like one of our girls Britney had to say about the membership. So I hope you enjoyed today's episode and I hope to see you inside market like a talk. I'll see you next month for a new episode right here on the podcast. Sam.
