In this podcast, we're covering the most asked about topics including pricing, marketing, client experience, and all things systems and workflows. You won't find any fluff or BS here. Just tried and true strategy. Are you ready? Grab your kids some snacks and charge those camera batteries. It's time to jump in. Welcome to your guide to using ChatGPT for your photography business. I'm so, so pumped to finally have this conversation. This has been on my Podcast to record list for months, mainly because I didn't. I didn't know exactly what I wanted to say, but I also wanted to make sure that I felt qualified enough to talk about Chat GPT. And now that it's been several months since I've used it in my own business and really almost on a daily basis, I feel that now is the perfect time to really talk about this. I know some of you, you've already experimented with Chat GPT. Some of you are like, nope, I'm not touching that with the ten foot pole. Which I also used to think like that as well. And some of you might be like, I'm just overwhelmed, right? I'm just completely overwhelmed by the entire. By the entire topic. I don't really know what to do with it. It sounds really weird. Don't worry because there is something here for everyone. Whether you've used it, you might hear a new way that you can util it, or if you've Been skeptical. I hope to ease your skepticism and help shift that from fear and, and skepticism to excitement and relief in your business. So if you aren't using Chat GPT, here's your invitation. Come jump on the train with us. It's not going anywhere. It is only going to get better. And while there are pros and cons to AI, I think that the way that I am talking about this today, I'm really showcasing the pros of how I can be really, really helpful in your business. I had my own misconceptions and fears of using Chat GPT as well, and I'm so thankful that I didn't let that stop me. It did for a little while, but then I thought, you know, let me just jump in here and see what are people talking about. Let me experience this for myself. And once I did, and I really learned how to utilize it and tweak it for me, it is the best free assistant in my business that I've ever had. Okay. Like, it's incredible. So every single one of you, if you're ready to hire your first team member, it's Chat GPT. I'm telling you, you're going to be obsessed by the end of our conversation today. Here's the deal. There are multiple different versions and models of Chat GPT out there. I'm going to talk about the two that I have the most experience with and you can decide what you like the most. So the first one that I used, and I'm opening it right now, The URL is chat.OpenAI.com so the first one I ever used was Open AI and that's like the original Chat GPT that probably everybody is using to start with. I didn't use it for business at first. I used it for personal things. And I actually still use Chat GPT in my own personal life, which I'm not including in this episode. So I'm kind of just giving you like a freebie here. I use it every single week in my own personal life to help me craft our meal plan, our shopping list, and giving me the actual recipes. And this has been a game changer. I used to spend hours trying to figure out what are we going to eat, searching up on Pinterest, all the things. And now I don't have to. I can go to Chat GPT and I can say, hey, I need a two week meal plan. I need breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here's a list of things that we don't like or are allergic to. Can you, you know, make this meal plan, and it does, and it shoots it to me. And after a little bit of going back and forth, we refine it, we get it exactly how I want it, and then I am off to the races on my grocery order. So I want you to know, Chad, GPT can be utilized for both your personal life and your business life. But because this is a photography business podcast, I specifically want to Zoom in to 10 ways that you can use Chat GPT in your own business. Okay, before we move on, I want to tell you the second version, or model, whatever we're calling them, of Chat GPT that I use and the one that is actually my go to and my favorite that is, it's called Claude AI. Maybe it's cloud. You spell it C L, A, U D E. I call it Claude. And I love this one so much more. I felt like the regular open AI. The Chat GPT, the one, the first one that we talked about, that one is really good for like, statistics, breaking down documents, analyzing, giving you grocery lists, things like that. But my favorite, favorite for marketing purposes and all these ways that we're about to get into for your photography business is actually through Claude. I think it just sounds a little more modern, it sounds a little bit more like me and it adapts a lot quicker. I use the free version for both. I want to be very transparent about that. I've actually never upgraded to the pro version on any Chat GPT model. So you can get a lot done. You just have to know that you are going to be limited, only give you a certain amount of chat storage before you have to wait a few hours before you can come back and keep using it. So if you'll just keep that in the back of your mind so you're not, you're not shocked when that happens, but I really do. I love Claude. I love Cloud. I think that it just does so much better. I refer to it as a her. She is amazing. Okay, and so let me tell you how you can use chat GPT in your photography business. These are 10 ways and no particular order. They're completely random. But we're just going to run through the list of 10. And my goal for you, the homework, the action step, I want you to pick one of these ways and I want you to implement it today or tomorrow, depending on the time of day you're listening to this episode. So here we go. Number one, you can use Chat GBT as social media assistance. It could be your social media assistant. Okay. And how you can utilize it is Chat GPT can Create a content calendar for you. It can create captions for you. It can come up with real scripts, carousel slides. It's very good at doing copy. But here's, here's the caveat. I'm going to give this one early. I want you to not just take it at face value. You don't just say, I want 10 captions for social media for my photography Instagram page and then here's a little bit of information about my business. No, I want you to. When it spits something out to you, I want you to go in and I want you to read what they wrote for one of those captions. I want you to take it and edit it and I want you to rewrite it the way that you would speak it and then feed it back to Chat GPT and say, here's caption one that you wrote for me. Here's how I tweaked it. Remember this for future captions. Or can you tweak the nine other captions to fit this style, tone and voice? And then it will. So the key is you don't just ask it a question and you take what it gives you. You have to continue to refine it and go back and forth. If it writes something and it's like super, super cheesy, literally tell it, listen, this is too cheesy for me. I want this said with a sarcastic but funny tone and it will rewrite it in that exact. So make sure that we're not just copying and pasting the first thing it gives us. Because I can spot a piece of copy that was written by Chat GPT from a mile away. We're not using Chat GPT to do all the heavy work. We're just using it to jump start and get us to a point to where then we can say, okay, amazing. My brain was definitely not headed in that direction. But now that I have this, now my brain is going in multiple directions of how I can edit this or use it differently or write a similar topic to what it gave me. So that's the first way is absolutely utilize Chat GPT for some of your marketing when it comes to social media. But please don't take anything at face value. Second thing that you can use ChatGPT for is polishing up the reviews. So if you have clients that are leaving you reviews, you all know how sometimes like they just sound, they, they're repetitive or there's a run on sentence or it doesn't really make the best sense. They could have said it a little bit better. Just copy and paste and say, hey, my client left me this review. Can you help me polish it or can you help me clean it up a little bit? And then you copy and paste it and you send it through and then it will, it will basically reword it in a way where it doesn't take away what they said. It's not adding anything to it, it's not taking it away, it's just saying it in a more professional manner to where then you can go use that for your social media or put it on your website or whatever. So that is another great thing that you can use it for. You can also side note, use it for your own reviews. If you're trying to leave a review for this podcast per se, or you are trying to leave a review for a photographer that you hire or whatever the case may be, you can definitely utilize it and say, hey, here's some of the things I enjoyed working with this photographer for. Here's a couple of bullet points. Can you form this into a three to four sentence review? So that's number two. Number three is utilizing chatbots for your email newsletters, your follow up email templates, your email sequences, anything that has to do with email marketing. Great way to use Chat GPT. But again, remember what I said, we're not going to just take it at face value. A lot of times it is very cheesy or is very generic. You need to add some flavor, some style, some tone of voice. And the only way to do that is to tell Chat GPT like, hey, okay, this was a great start. I like this section. I don't like this section. I would never use the word, whatever the word may be that it put in there. Can you rewrite this in a more casual and friendly tone? And it will. And then from there then you can start still go in and add a couple of edits, make it sound more like yourself. So this is a great. Again you're using Chat GPT as a jumping off point, right? Maybe in your head you're like, man, I really need to start sending that monthly newsletter to my list. But I don't even know what that would look like. And so you can just take it and you can ask Chat GPT, can you give me an outline? Can you show me an example? And then from there your brain goes, oh, okay, there's the visual. Now let's create something that's similar. Fourth way is to help you write your own package descriptions. So if you're not quite sure how to word that pretty paragraph in your investment guide, Template, especially the ones that I sell in my shop. Brooke Jefferson, Etsy Shop. This will help you, like, plug it in. You could say, hey, there is a space, a little paragraph that I need to write that kind of talks about what my package includes and who it's the best for. Can you help me? And then ChatGPT will ask you questions. Okay, great. Tell us your packages, what are the names, who is it for, what's included? And then you throw it all in there and it will formulate it into a paragraph that you can now use in your package descriptions, whether that's on your website and a pricing guide, whatever it may be. The fifth way is to help Chat GPT or not help, sorry. To get Chat GBT to help you create FAQs, frequently asked questions that you can either put on your website, in your guides, or in your marketing content. So you literally say, hey, I need to come up with five frequently asked questions that my potential clients might be wondering or want to ask me. And then see what Chat GPT says back to you. It's like having a conversation with the robot. Okay. Or an assistant. And then you're going to say like, okay, here, here's some popular ones. Or chat GPT will say, here's the 10 frequently asked questions that people have when they're thinking about hiring a newborn photographer. And then you can take those and again, reword it to sound like you. Number six. Guys, we are halfway there. Here we go. Number six. You can use Chat GPT to help you create workflows and automations for your business. So I'm not talking about email workflows here. We've already covered that one. I'm talking about like the back end of your business. If you feel like you are wasting time or you are constantly reinventing the wheel for something, then this is a great way to be like, okay, I am spending, you know, 30 hours on my business. I need to condense it down to 20. Can you help me find places where I could implement automations or I could create better backend workflows or a better client experience or whatever. Then ChatGPT can help you brainstorm that out. Number seven, you can use ChatGPT to help you outline client guides or to help you write it out. So this would be again, those pricing guides, style guides, prep guides. Maybe you want to create a different kind of a guide. Maybe you're an elopement photographer and you want to create a guide specifically about prepping for their elopement or whatever it may be. Chat GPT is great for this. Number 8 is brainstorming session concepts. And the easiest way that I can give you an example here is like, hey, I want to run a mini session in April. Can you give me, you know, a list of five to 10 ideas of different types of mini sessions I could run? Brainstorming with Chat GPT is where it is at. So, so utilize. If anything else, we can all use this one, right? Or hey, I am. And this is like real time what I am planning. Hey, I'm wanting to do spring minis using a classic Ford truck. Can you give me some ideas of some spring decor that I could put, you know, in the back of the truck for these sessions and just see what it says. It's a great brainstorming technique. Rather than us going to Pinterest looking at what everyone else is doing, we could just come to Chat GPT and see if something sparks our imagination first before we go scroll Pinterest. Okay, two more. Here we go. Number nine, you can actually use ChatGPT to get better at your photography skills. You can ask it for techniques, you can ask it certain questions. When it comes to like a lightroom setting, it digs deep to find you answers. Now, it's not Google and it's not YouTube, but it is a great resource and I think this would be super helpful if you're looking for, for something very specific. Utilize Chat GPT and see what it comes up with. All right. Our last and final way that you can utilize Chat GPT in your photography business is let Chat GPT help you refresh your client questionnaires. So feed it what you already have as a questionnaire or if you don't have one, you can create one and say, okay, I want to update this, I want to condense it down. Are there questions that you would remove or add to this questionnaire that would be super helpful in helping my clients or helping me help prep my clients for their session and see what Chat GPT comes up with. This is a great thing to do. If you haven't done this in a while. And guys, this is it. 10 simple ways that you can use Chad GPT in your photography business. So we've given you a lot, a lot of ways for you to start using Chat GPT. I want to know which one are you going to do first? Come DM me on Instagram, it's Brookejena photo. Tell me what you're going to use. And one last caveat and I just want to say this about Chat GBT out there. They love to give you emojis. Okay? We don't need to put an emoji after every sentence or every paragraph. And so as you're using these 10 ways, if you're getting a lot of emojis back, just tell Chad GPT I don't want more than one emoji or more than two in the entire whatever it is you're building for me. And it will take them away again. This is one of the biggest, like, ahas that I can see where I'm like, oh, that person definitely ripped us off from Chat GPT and didn't even try to edit it to sound like themselves. And I can tell because of all the random emojis. So I just wanted to give that last caveat. Please, please, please, and make sure as you're utilizing Chat GPT that you are refining it, you are telling it your voice, you are giving it, you know, a past caption you wrote yourself or you're giving it an email that you already wrote for yourself, right? And you're saying, hey, here's a piece that I've already done. Can you make this better? Or can you make the rest of my content sound similar to my voice? And it will. So I hope that you are breathing a sigh of relief. I hope you're excited. I hope you are chomping at the bit to get over to one of the Chat GPT models and start asking it these questions. I'm telling you, you're going to get addicted and you're going to want to do this all the time. Just remember, you're the business owner. Chad GPT is not your business owner. It is simply an assistant to help you get started or help you get unstuck. I hope you guys enjoyed this juicy episode about Chat GPT today. And I seriously, I want to hear your feedback. So please, please, please me on Instagram, tell me that you just listened to this episode and what was your takeaway? Did we like Chat GPT? Do we not love Chat GPT? I want to hear your takeaways. All right, I will catch you on the next episode.
