Nicolas Hunter is an experienced extended faster who has transformed his health through a combination of fasting, carnivore-based nutrition, and nutrient-dense ancestral foods.

After reaching more than 345 pounds, Nicolas lost over 185 pounds and gradually moved away from calorie counting, constant restriction, and the idea that eating less every day was the answer. Today, he uses carnivore not as a rigid ideology, but as a practical metabolic tool that makes extended fasting feel natural and sustainable.

His current rhythm often consists of a 72-hour fast, followed by two generous one-meal-a-day refeed days, and then another 72-hour fast. When he eats, he prioritizes meat, fish, eggs, traditional dairy, and other simple, nourishing foods, eating until genuinely satisfied rather than counting calories. Nicolas believes fasting should not feel like punishment, starvation, or a daily battle against hunger. For him, the real breakthrough came when food stopped controlling his attention and the constant “food noise” disappeared.

Nicolas no longer sees fasting as endlessly deciding not to eat. He sees it as regaining the freedom to decide when to eat.
