And the thing is that is that I might make it. I might be relatable. I might make it look easy, but it's really not. I put a lot of thought to it. I have a team. And even when you have a team, like, it's like, you operate it. So if you're not really like me, sometimes I would just wake up at 3am and I have an idea. And I call Patience, I call Colin, I call my managers. It's like, we gotta do this. I could come up with a song. I could come up with a certain type of a beat in my head. Not even because I Don't. I don't do beats and stuff like that. But it's like, I have an idea and I start calling all the producers that I work with, and it's just like, I make it look easy, but I spend a lot of time perfecting it, making it great. Like, even the most simplest thing that you'll be like, that is so simple to do, but it's not.

And if I'm overly working, even though I might be happy, I just like, I'll be like, I want to go. I can't, I don't have time to eat. So I lose weight very easy. The misconception that people have of me is just like, that I'm always in the table and like I just give birth. I automatically go and like get surgery. I take my time cuz I don't want to die. No, seriously, like you have to wait six, seven months before you get any type of surgery. When after you have birth cuz you lose so much blood. Do you feel like people hold it against you that you have been open about your surgeries?

I used to feel like people used to put so much pressure on them so they could say like they did surgery and they would not say a word. And it's like, what is the. And then it's like, well, you know what, I'mma just be more honest about it. And you know, they never lied about it. They just like felt like, I, I don't have to tell you my business. So when you do tell them your business, it's like, it's bad too.

It's like you kind of can't win. It's like you're open about it, then they used it against you if you don't. They say they have the right to know. I do want to talk to you about. You've obviously had a lot of public ups and downs just throughout your public career with past relationships. How do you handle people having such an opinion on your dating life?

I don't know. I really, I really don't know because I really don't know. I'm just, I'm just at the point like that is like do what, do what you want to do. You know what I'm saying? Like do what you want to do and do what makes you do what makes you happy. Like even, like, like even like in the, the, the long marriage that I was in, like it's a lot of things that I regret and there's a lot of things that people going to be like, you see, you wasted your time. But I don't feel like it was a waste of time. I, I, I actually, I actually see what comes with being a wife, being a mom. So I experienced that. It's like I have to experience pain, I have to experience good times. I have to experience what it was like to be a fam, to have a family and to be a, a wife. So I, I, I don't, and on top of that, like I said, I don't have a bad reputation. Like, if you decide to call me a, or whatever, the, it's because you want to. It's not because you have a fact. Because I, I wasn't that.

So I feel like again, being in a public position, there will be rumors out there.

And have you ever had something where, like, there was a rumor about someone cheating on you and then you eventually found out somehow it was real? Where you're like, at first you're like, no, that has to be a rumor. And then eventually one day you find out it's true. And like, how do you handle those moments? Has it ever happened?

Yeah, that, that happened. That, that definitely happened. And it happened too late. Because it's like, it happened too late. Like, is that I will find out a little bit more late than the others. Sometimes I feel like, damn, was that the only one that didn't know? But it's like.

How do you handle that though, Cardi? Because I think that's like a really relatable feeling of a woman being like, like, did everyone around me know? But when you're in a relationship, sometimes you can get blinded by, like, you love someone. Like, how do, how do you, how did you deal? Whenever in your life you experience something like that, those feelings of like, I whoop they ass. Okay.

I hope they ask. And it's like, it's, it's really your choice if you want to stay or go. To be honest with you. Like, it's like, I'm not going to put the blame on nobody for staying or, or leaving.

Like, have you ever felt shame in the past of ever, like staying with something that people maybe around you were like, you shouldn't be in something like that. Like, how do you deal with that if people are judging you for staying in something?

Sometimes it's like a mixed feelings because again, I really just, I really just don't regret anything. You know what I'm saying? Like, it is, it is what it is. Like, if my, if your heart is not ready. It's just. It's not ready. It's not ready.

Do you have any advice for women of, like, how to know when to leave or how to get the strength?

I don't even know if it was, like, a strength or something. I just feel like. Like it was like my body was, like, really rejecting it. It's like, you know, like that picture that is like a girl throwing up, and she's throwing up hearts. Like, I feel like I was getting, like, really, like, sick. And it's like, all right, this is. This is dead. Because. Because I had separation moments that people wouldn't even know that I'm separated. There has been moments that is like, I wouldn't see a motherfucker for two, three months. We're not in the same house. We're not. We're not talking. But nobody really knows, though. Nobody's gonna ever know your complete business. But you could do that. But if you're not ready to leave, you're just not ready to leave. Especially when you don't talk to other guys or you don't really be outside like that, or you're not in the. You're not out there like that. And for some reason. For some reason, this is so weird. Men actually respect marriages.

What do you mean by that?

Women don't really respect marriages.

You're saying outside of the marriage, like, a man wouldn't come to you?

So it was just this one time that I was like, you have to move on. Like, you have to move on. If you're so used to getting attention from one person, you have to, like, get attention from somebody. Because at the end of day, you could party, you could club, you could work, you could job, you could get your hair done. At the end of the day, you kind of want somebody to talk to. You need somebody to talk to. So I asked somebody. Like, it's like, hey, hey. It feels illegal. And we just talked. We got to know each other. We was getting to know each other for, like. Yes. You could tell I was very nervous.

And what was it about him that made you slowly keep coming back?

Because sometimes that we would talk, and then sometimes we go, like, weeks or, like.

Like a month without talking. And for some reason, like, it's. It's almost like. It's almost like he always hit me up, like, at the right time. He almost hit me up, like, at the times that I feel uneasy, I'd be like, I don't know if I should deal with this person, because I know this person. He's. He's a little hot, but I'm Gonna talk. And then we had really good conversations and it got to the point that it was like, damn, we, we. We talk for hours and six hours and seven hours. So that is the best though, when you get to that point where you're like giddy and like love having them in your life in every capacity. You're like, okay, now I know. I really with you and I really, really like you.

Where were you when you came up with this incredibly genius lyric in the studio?

But when I said it, my engineer was like, you're ridiculous. He was like, why do you be coming up with this stuff? How you be coming up with this stuff? That's what my engineer said. I just hope that they see and feel my feelings. That they see my fun side, my pain, my anger. I hope that they see all of that and I hope they see that I put my. I put a lot of work into this album. This ain't no play play.
