This example teaches that following our calling requires obedience before clarity, a willingness to let go of past disappointments, and confidence that God sees beyond outward appearances to the heart. Whereas, deviations from your path slow down your calling to a standstill. However, we also have Holy Spirit inside us who knows how to navigate the ups and downs of a calling. This means that there may be seasons when Holy Spirit will direct you to take an anointed deviation that may appear to break your focus. The difference between an anointed deviation verses a self-appointed deviation is that an anointed deviation does not slow down the success of your calling.
