You know my past was riddled with addiction. I tried everything to be sober. I went to NA, AA, CA. You name it, I tried it, and I'd stay sober for a few months at a time. But I would always go back to my addiction, and while there's nothing intrinsically wrong with these programs, in the absence of a connection with Jesus they are just self-control exercises, and in the end there'll be a lot of sober people still in hell. My life was forever changed by a single encounter with Jesus. This is Pastor Ben's point today. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
