Trying to conceive can affect so much more than your body. It can start to change the way you relate to each other too. What begins as hope and excitement can slowly turn into pressure, stress, and disconnection, especially when intimacy starts to feel more scheduled than natural. In this episode, I’m joined by Dr. Trina Read, Canadian sexologist and relationship expert, for an honest conversation about how couples can stay connected during the stress of TTC. We talk about why so many couples begin to feel emotionally distant during this season, how stress can spill into intimacy, and why learning to communicate your needs matters so much before pregnancy and parenting add even more pressure. Dr. Trina also shares simple ways couples can reconnect, support each other, and strengthen their relationship without making it feel like one more thing on the to-do list. If trying to conceive has started to feel heavy, mechanical, or lonely, this episode is an important reminder that your relationship needs care too. If you’ve been told that your chances of getting pregnant after 40 are “slim to none,” this episode is going to challenge everything you thought you knew about fertility and age. In this conversation, I’m joined by Tori Black, registered nurse and natural fertility coach, and we’re diving into one of the biggest narratives women are up against—especially in their late 30s and 40s. The idea that your body is running out of time, your egg quality is declining beyond repair, and your only real option is IVF. But what if that’s not the full story? We talk about where these beliefs actually come from, why so many women are rushed into procedures without ever addressing the foundations of their health, and what’s often being missed when you’re told your labs are “normal.” This episode unpacks the truth about egg quality, the limitations of common fertility testing, and why your body’s ability to conceive has far more to do with your overall health than your age alone. I also share parts of my personal journey—having babies at 40 and nearly 45—and how focusing on foundational health completely changed not just my fertility, but my experience in pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood. This is a conversation about more than just getting pregnant. It’s about shifting out of fear, questioning what you’ve been told, and understanding how your body actually works so you can make informed, empowered decisions moving forward. If you’ve been feeling discouraged, dismissed, or like time is working against you, this episode will give you a completely different lens to look through. You’ll walk away with a deeper understanding of what really impacts fertility after 40, why “normal” doesn’t always mean optimal, and how to start supporting your body in a way that aligns with both science and faith. For years, women have been praised for under-eating, over-exercising, ignoring their hunger, and calling it “discipline.” Diet culture dressed deprivation up as health and convinced women that being smaller was the goal, even if it came at the expense of their hormones, metabolism, peace, and relationship with food. In this episode, I’m joined by Coryn Brown and Crysanne Clay of the Her Healthy Body Podcast to expose what that mindset is really costing women and what it looks like to heal. We talk about under-fueling, cortisol, sleep disruption, muscle loss, food fear, protein, strength training, and why so many women feel worse after years of trying to be “healthy.” We also get into why GLP-1s may be the new trend, but for many women they risk becoming the same old story: eat less, ignore hunger, lose muscle, and call it health. Women do not need a newer, more socially acceptable version of diet culture. They need a better way to heal. This conversation is a reminder that real healing does not come from eating less and pushing harder. It comes from learning how to nourish your body, support your metabolism, build strength, sleep deeply, and stop treating your body like the enemy. If you are tired of the health and fitness industry selling women the same lie in different packaging, this episode will speak right to you. What happens when what you’ve been told about your health… doesn’t align with what God is speaking? So many women are given a diagnosis—and without even realizing it, they begin to build their life around it. They adjust their expectations. They lower what they believe is possible. They start living from a place of fear instead of faith. But what if that diagnosis was never meant to have the final say? In this powerful conversation, I sit down with Stephanie Franklin-Suber, who has walked through cancer, chronic illness, and even survived cardiac arrest—and what she discovered along the way completely changed how she understands healing. Because despite doing everything “right,” she realized something most people are missing: Healing isn’t just physical. It’s body, soul, and spirit. We talk about how fear, stress, unprocessed emotions, and the beliefs we carry can quietly impact the body—and why focusing only on symptoms often keeps people stuck in cycles of frustration. Stephanie shares how years of striving and pushing through ultimately caught up with her physically, and how surrendering control and realigning her life with God became the turning point in her healing. This conversation gently challenges the idea that your diagnosis defines your future—and invites you to consider that there may be a deeper layer to your healing that’s been overlooked. If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing everything you can… but still not seeing the breakthrough you’re praying for, this episode will meet you there. Perimenopause has been so demonized that many women expect to feel terrible and assume it is just part of getting older. But what if that is not the full story? In this episode, I’m breaking down what the research actually shows about menstrual cycle changes in perimenopause and why the biggest shifts may happen later than many women have been led to believe. We’re also talking about why hormones are not always the whole story, especially when a body has been carrying chronic stress, poor sleep, inflammation, and depletion for years. If you have been told your symptoms are “just perimenopause,” this episode will help you look deeper at what your cycle is communicating. I’m unpacking why chronic stress gets normalized, why feeling awful should not be accepted as the default, and why a stuck, overwhelmed body may be a big part of the picture. I also touch on body literacy, recovery, and supportive tools like GHK-Cu through a grounded, full-picture lens. This episode is for the woman who feels off, knows something is changing, and wants more than surface-level answers. Think you know when you’re ovulating? If you’re tracking your cycle, using LH strips, and timing everything—but it’s still not happening—there’s a good chance you’re missing your fertile window – without realizing it. In this episode, I break down what ovulation actually looks like, what ovulation tests really measure, and why so many women get their timing wrong—even when they’re trying. A study on women trying to conceive found that only 12.7% correctly identified their ovulation day. Not because they weren’t paying attention… but because they were never taught how to read their body. Your fertile window is only about six days each cycle. If your timing is off, even slightly, you can be doing everything “right” and still miss it. If your cycle feels different—especially after a vasectomy reversal—this episode will help you understand why. So many women quietly carry the same question: What’s wrong with me? Why am I exhausted, overwhelmed, and feeling like my body and life are working against me… even when I’m doing everything “right”? When you’ve spent years being the strong one, taking care of everyone else, and pushing through hard seasons, it’s easy to lose touch with who you really are. In this episode, I sit down with author Amey DeAnne (Stark-Foust) to talk about why so many women feel lost and disconnected from themselves. We explore how living in survival mode, people-pleasing, and unresolved trauma can shape our identity and keep us stuck in patterns that don’t reflect who God actually created us to be. Amey shares pieces of her own healing journey and how faith, reflection, and simple daily practices helped her begin rediscovering her authentic self. If you’ve ever felt like something must be wrong with you, this conversation may help you start asking a different question: Who am I underneath everything I’ve had to carry? What if modern medicine isn’t neutral about family building? What if it’s incredibly efficient at preventing pregnancy — but surprisingly unprepared to restore it? In this episode, I unpack what hormonal birth control and vasectomy actually do to your hormones and reproductive health. We’re talking ovulation suppression, progesterone loss, SHBG elevation, nutrient depletion, antisperm antibodies, oxidative stress, sperm DNA fragmentation, and why vasectomy reversal fertility is far more complex than simply reconnecting tubes. Birth control doesn’t regulate your cycle — it shuts it down. Vasectomy doesn’t stop sperm production — it alters the immune and inflammatory environment. If you’re trying to conceive after vasectomy reversal and you’ve been told your labs are “normal” but pregnancy still isn’t happening, this episode will challenge what you’ve been told about hormone balance, inflammation, and fertility restoration. We’ll address the cultural drift that normalizes suppression while sidelining root-cause reproductive health. If you’ve felt dismissed, rushed, or subtly discouraged from wanting more children, this conversation will put language to what your gut already knows. Prevention is streamlined. Restoration requires advocacy. Low AMH has become one of the most feared lab results in women’s health. Many women are told their ovarian reserve is diminished and that time is running out. But does low AMH actually prevent natural conception? In this episode, we unpack what Anti-Müllerian Hormone really measures and what it doesn’t. AMH was designed to estimate ovarian response during IVF stimulation — not to determine whether you can conceive naturally. Yet countless women are handed urgency and fear based on this single number. We break down the difference between ovarian reserve and egg quality, why egg quantity does not equal fertility potential, and how inflammation, mitochondrial health, thyroid function, stress, and overall cellular environment influence reproductive outcomes. If you’ve been told you have low AMH or diminished ovarian reserve, this conversation will help you understand your labs in context instead of as a verdict. This episode challenges the panic-driven fertility narrative and invites a root-cause, systems-based approach to natural conception. Low AMH is information — not identity, not destiny, and not proof that your body has failed. If you’ve ever felt rushed or pressured by a fertility diagnosis, this one will help you breathe again. What happens when you’re living somewhere beautiful… doing all the “right” things… and still battling fear you can’t explain? In this honest and layered conversation, I sit down with Danoucha Reynon to talk about severe PTSD, panic attacks, and what it was like to be told medication was the primary — and possibly lifelong — solution. This episode is not about shaming medication. It’s about asking deeper questions. We discuss trauma stored in the body, the gut-brain connection, nervous system regulation, detox and nutrition, and why so many root-cause factors are often overlooked. Danoucha shares how she slowly and safely weaned off medication over time — never cold turkey — while rebuilding her health through foundational support and, ultimately, surrendering her healing journey to Jesus. We also talk about discernment, spiritual warfare, identity beyond a diagnosis, and the practical tools that helped her move from panic to peace — including prayer, gratitude, movement, sunshine, hydration, and community. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a diagnosis… If you’ve wondered whether “this is just your life now”… Or if you’re afraid to start or stop medication… This conversation is filled with compassion, hope, and perspective. This episode is for encouragement and education only and is not medical advice. If you are currently on medication, do not stop abruptly. Work with a qualified provider and create a safe plan.
