Narrator/Scene Description
The night of August 1st. Gotham City Jailhouse.
Dick Grayson
No, I just thought you would want a continuance. Tomorrow being what it is.
Narrator/Scene Description
When Harvey Den takes the witness stand tomorrow, it will be the anniversary of when the acid was thrown at his face and the last time he was in a courtroom as an attorney.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Are we having this discussion?
Narrator
Yes.
Dick Grayson
And you won't reconsider hiring counsel rather than representing yourself?
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Why? Do you think I'm afraid of going up against you?
Narrator
Hardly.
Dick Grayson
I believe in you. I believe in Harvey Dent.
Narrator/Scene Description
Really?
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
You know, you're beginning to sound a lot like Gilda Porter.
Narrator
See you in court.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Just be sure to bring every shred of evidence you have on the Hangman you're gonna need.
Narrator/Scene Description
I cannot help suspecting that he planned it all this way. Maron's Restaurant. Only recently reopened since the Joker shot it to pieces on Mother's Day after hours. The Moroni brothers, Pino and Umberto, are the last ones inside. Where is Zuko?
Narrator
I don't know. I swear.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Right.
Narrator/Scene Description
No, no. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
No, no, no, no, no.
Narrator/Scene Description
You were always considered the smarter brother, Umberto. Be smart. Zuko works for you.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
I told you, I don't know, you freak. He's gone under ever since the circus thing.
Narrator/Scene Description
Leave my brother alone. Sit back down, Pino. You've got one last chance. In the caves beneath Wayne Manor.
Dick Grayson
I should be out there with him, not stuck in this cave with these bats. I've trained. I'm ready.
Alfred Pennyworth
You understand that the cost of repairing that dummy will come out of your allowance.
Dick Grayson
He thinks I'll get hurt. He doesn't trust me.
Alfred Pennyworth
On the contrary. I hope you are aware how extraordinary it was for him to share his secret with you. Truly extraordinary. But a bit of advice. He is training you to help you seek justice for your parents deaths. And only for that any other plans you may have had in your head are woefully premature.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Huh.
Narrator/Scene Description
Dick? It's time. The Falcone estate, where Alberto Falcone is kept under house arrest. Past midnight is August 2nd. The birthday of their dead father, Carmine the Roman Falcone. Alberto moves silently, driven by an impossible sound. His father's voice. I got you a new gun. You have to finish what you started. Eliminate anyone who stands in your way. Take your seat at the head of the five families. Make me proud. Alberto stops outside the door of his deceased father's bedroom, currently occupied by his sister. Sophia Gigante is head of the weakening Falcone empire. She sits in her wheelchair staring at a mirror, unaware her brother stands in the shadows. Alberto raises his silence 22 pistol.
Alfred Pennyworth
Oh, Papa.
Narrator/Scene Description
The scars on your face. On mine now. And lowers it again, returning to the shadows. The Ox Club. A Maroni operation looked after by Anthony Fats Zuko. Zuko enjoys a meal for one you have to answer for. The Grayson murders, Zuko. Yeah, right. Like I'm going to.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Hey. How you get in here? Where sk in?
Narrator/Scene Description
The boys the Maroos gave you up.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Those rats.
Narrator/Scene Description
How you got the acid from them to war on the trapeze ropes? The same acid their father used to burn off Harvey Dent's face. There's nowhere to go. About a year after my parents were murdered, I started to dream about catching their killer.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Okay.
Narrator/Scene Description
I lost him. How? I would chase him relentlessly. Until he would run into a blind alley a little. He would try and fire his gun, but it would be empty. Impotent.
Dick Grayson
Can't run awake.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Batman.
Narrator/Scene Description
I would move in closer. Closer. His face would be filled with fear. Like mine was when he pointed the gun at me after shooting my parents.
Dick Grayson
You're faking it.
Narrator
Get up.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Not get help. Take help. Help.
Narrator/Scene Description
There's an ambulance coming.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
You want me alive?
Narrator/Scene Description
I know.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Things I could give you out.
Narrator/Scene Description
Come job.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Last October. It was. It was me. Alberto Pino. The Rex. Listen, Moronics don't work for Falcones.
Narrator/Scene Description
Who do they work for? Zuko.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Promise. Keep me alive.
Narrator/Scene Description
I'll do what I can.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Ramonis. Not just brothers.
Narrator/Scene Description
Twins. But I always woke up before the dream ended. He's dead. And to this day, I've yet to find my parents killer. Let's go dig the parking garage. Across the street from the Gotham City courthouse. Day one of the Harvey Dent trial. Janice Porter meets an informant. Mario Falcone.
Dick Grayson
How do you know someone didn't follow you?
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
They didn't. And what if they did? I'm beginning to think you have more to lose than I do.
Dick Grayson
What is it you want?
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
You promised you'd keep my name out of this. That you would protect me. The Joker. Shooting all those people, dragging me downtown like I was a cheap hood.
Dick Grayson
You are a cheap hood. You only dress well.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
We had a deal. I help you dismantle the criminal element in my family. My sister Sophia's side of things.
Narrator
Shut the hell up.
Dick Grayson
From now on, I contact you. You don't contact me. Ever. Now get out of here before somebody.
Narrator
Drops a noose around your neck.

Gotham City Courthouse, Docket 9, Judge Harkness presiding. Do you, Harvey Dent, swear to tell.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? I can't answer that question. And why is that, Mr. Dent? Because I'm not Harvey Dent.
Narrator/Scene Description
Then who are you?
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
The name is Two face, your honor.
Dick Grayson
If the witness is not mentally competent to determine his own identity. Then I must renew my objection to having Mr. Dent represent himself.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
She is right, Mr. Dent.
Narrator/Scene Description
You can't have it both ways. The second Hangman note read, Two can play this game. Harvey has insisted he had nothing to do with the Hangman killings. But with Zuko's confession, if it is true, then the Maronis could be acting on Two Face's behalf.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
I swear.
Narrator/Scene Description
The courtroom is filled with families of the hanged police officers. If Dent is convicted, Gordon will have a tough time getting him out of here alive.
Dick Grayson
Mr. Dent, these strong boxes are filled with evidence relating to the Hangman killings. Nine men from the Gotham City police force, past and present, have been hanged. All were pinned with notes that had to do with you both personally and professionally. How do you explain that?
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
I can't. But as I understand it, those notes were taken from my files. Files that were stored in your office, counselor. Care to explain that?
Shopify Advertiser
I.
Dick Grayson
It is a matter of record that those files were stolen from my office before the first murder.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Hmm, how convenient.
Dick Grayson
I am not the one trial here, Mr. Dent.
Narrator/Scene Description
Oh.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
What time is it?
Narrator/Scene Description
Something is wrong. Two faces wearing a watch.
Narrator
I don't know.
Dick Grayson
It's just about 2 o'.
Shopify Advertiser
Clock.
Dick Grayson
Why 2?
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
I move for a recess.
Narrator/Scene Description
The floor collapses. And now, entering the courtroom. Mr. Freeze. Poison ivy. Solomon Grundy. Get away with me. Two Face had this all planned out.
Narrator
All right.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Freeze.
Narrator/Scene Description
Good night. Two Face shot and killed Carmin Falcone. I went in alone to stop him. I used smoke and flash grenade grenades to distract them.
Narrator
Solomon Grundy.
Narrator/Scene Description
I took a swift, almost surgical approach taking out the most immediate threats. And now Harvey has taken my tactics and perverted them for his own use. Let's go.
Narrator
Ms. Porter.
Narrator/Scene Description
The court of Jersey Poison Ivy snares Porter.
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
No.
Dick Grayson
Get off me.
Narrator/Scene Description
I've got you. They disappear into the sewers. From the hole they blew into the courtroom floor. I'm seconds too late following them frozen shut.
WhatsApp Advertiser
Damn him.
Dick Grayson
He baited me to get at all the evidence.
Narrator/Scene Description
Now I can only imagine them satisfied. Back in Two Faces hideout in the sewer.
Narrator
It's one kind of man who can come up with a plan and another who can see his plans well executed. I like that kind of man. I like you.
Narrator/Scene Description
Get out of here.
Dick Grayson
No one can resist me.
Narrator
Is it her?
Harvey Dent / Two-Face
Go to hell.
Narrator/Scene Description
The Gotham City Courthouse near midnight. Detective Laureen Wilcox from Commissioner Gordon's special task force waits for the elevator.
Narrator
Yes, Commissioner. I'm going up to the eighth floor to get Judge Harkness. Now Over. Huh?
Narrator/Scene Description
The Hangman killer has struck again. Pinned to the late detective is a newspaper clipping. D A charged in Falcone shooting. And scribbled on it, another Hangman puzzle. A N blank, Y blank. Fo blank and blank Y blank. An eye for an eye.
