Jason Rodriguez
I'm excited for that wix.
Wheezy WTF
And speaking of concerts in this Is America, the Live Nation lawsuit has an update. That's right. Ticketmaster and Live Nation have reached a verdict in the fact that they are guilty of a monopoly and there are states that are getting A payout. What does this mean for concert ongoers moving forward? Not a damn thing. We're going to talk about it, including our thoughts on Coachella and why we want Lil Wayne to shut the fuck up. Shut up, bro. Shut up, my nigga. Shut up. Furthermore, we're getting into politics where Tina Campbell and Caitlyn Jenner.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Come on now, dog.
Wheezy WTF
Both decided to double down on their votes for Trump even though they are being impacted by. By the decisions that he has made since taking office. Come on, man. I don't get why Trump voters won't just admit that they made a goddamn mistake. And then we are getting into the sadness of things. I do wanna put a trigger warning here. We are talking about Justin Fairfax as well as the Louisiana father that recently just killed eight children. We are talking about what's happening with murder suicides and what's happening with the mental health in our country. This is not a sports podcast, but we're giving you our playoff predictions. Cause NBA playoffs is here. Right before we get into celebrities say the darndest things. And y', all, Taraji P. Henson calls out Hollywood.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Gotcha, bitch.
Wheezy WTF
Find out what she says. We're getting into all the things right here on Selective Ignorance. And of course, I am joined by my super producers. And unfortunately, y', all, Jason is not here and not because of his fault. It's because niggas was late today, so told Jason to go home so he'll join us next week. A king. Don't look at me like this. Do not look at me like this. I'm not gonna lie. Calendar invites are about to be a different time. I'm about to have to start lying today.
Mandy B.
Okay.
Wheezy WTF
Just saying. Oh, that's.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That's the.
Jason Rodriguez
I was here at 10:30 on the dot.
Wheezy WTF
That's not. That's not how we're.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
They say. They say if you on time, you late.
Jason Rodriguez
That's.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That's what they say.
Wheezy WTF
I'm listening. Go ahead. Uhhuh.
Jason Rodriguez
Don't. So were you late?
Wheezy WTF
He was late. He was real late.
Jason Rodriguez
How you going to tell me?
Wheezy WTF
How are you going to talk about late? Y was real. Y' all was 20 minutes long.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I didn't try to justify. I was 12 minutes late, by the way.
Wheezy WTF
16.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, 1042.
Jason Rodriguez
1046.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
1042.
Wheezy WTF
You parking. 1046 is when you walked in here, y'. All. We got podcast OG Legend in the building. A key. What it do?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
What up?
Wheezy WTF
You know, I really do love you.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I love you, too.
Wheezy WTF
Because you in here looking Dominican today.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
He is he is Dominican.
Wheezy WTF
Dominican.
Jason Rodriguez
Dominican. I was. I was certified Blacksican once upon a time, y'.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
All.
Wheezy WTF
I've known a king for about 10 years now. I don't think I've ever seen him with a man bun.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Never. No. When he opened the door for me, I was like, oh, all right, nigga, who is you?
Jason Rodriguez
You don't know about this 3A.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, here we go.
Jason Rodriguez
3A.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Ish.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah. Cause you definitely don't have 4C.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, you gotta see when I take
Wheezy WTF
it out, you don't have 3C.
Jason Rodriguez
Nah, it's 3A. I already. I did the. I looked at the charts.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I feel like if a king, like, really let it hang, he could be.
Jason Rodriguez
I could transcend between. Like, you could be business.
Wheezy WTF
No, I'm not going to lie.
Jason Rodriguez
I could be between.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
No, don't do that.
Wheezy WTF
I didn't know that. Hey, y', all.
Jason Rodriguez
I could be Dominican.
Wheezy WTF
If y' all aren't watching the video, just know that aching is wet and wavy. Wet and wavy. Color, too. Like maybe 1B. It might be 1B.
Jason Rodriguez
Is it? There's a 1B. I didn't know colors. Oh. Oh, yeah. I don't know.
Wheezy WTF
So colors are 1B.
Jason Rodriguez
I didn't know that. I thought it was texture.
Wheezy WTF
This. This would be considered a 27. Not a 27.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Not if I say not a lemon pepper. Not that lemon pepper.
Wheezy WTF
But Normally I get 613. That's the really white color.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That's like super, like platinum. Platinum blonde.
Wheezy WTF
It's that 613.
Jason Rodriguez
When you gonna get the gray?
Wheezy WTF
First off? When I'm the MILF gray when I'm your age.
Jason Rodriguez
Anyway, I'm two years older than her. Come on.
Wheezy WTF
You're. What are we lying about our age now?
Jason Rodriguez
Eight. You know what?
Wheezy WTF
Here we go.
Jason Rodriguez
We've been told a lie. Anyway, about our age, they go to salmon lodging. Cause look here.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Go to Salmon Logic. Wait a second.
Wheezy WTF
What do you mean we've been told a lie about our age?
Jason Rodriguez
I like that. So when you was in your mom's womb, right?
Wheezy WTF
Oh, my God.
Jason Rodriguez
Mama Mandy's womb.
Wheezy WTF
Here we go.
Jason Rodriguez
They took off nine months. You was already living and breathing. Your birthday is when you were conceived. So you gotta. She would have to go back and to know when she and your pops did the thing that's. You gotta add nine to ten more months to your age.
Wheezy WTF
There's gotta be some. Hold on. There's gotta be some New York logic. Cause I was also just with a friend of mine, and he was like, you know, you have 13 cycles in a year. Like there's a 13th month somewhere. So, like, actually, even the calendar isn't really based on what time is. There's 13 months in a year.
Jason Rodriguez
And I was like, what's the Gregorian calendar?
Wheezy WTF
See, look. See? I did this to New York, bro. New York niggas are so different.
Jason Rodriguez
Ask your husband.
Wheezy WTF
I'm not telling.
Jason Rodriguez
Listen, your husband will tell you.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Who?
Jason Rodriguez
Grigor.
Wheezy WTF
You know my problem with my husband?
Jason Rodriguez
Giorgio Santorini.
Wheezy WTF
He believes that there's only two R's in Strawberry. If y' all seen the viral video.
Jason Rodriguez
Strawberry, nigga.
Wheezy WTF
There's three.
Jason Rodriguez
But. There's three.
Wheezy WTF
But Chet says two and argued with you.
Jason Rodriguez
How do they spell it? How they spell it?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I don't know, but he don't know R and berry.
Jason Rodriguez
Maybe they're right. Maybe we got. That's why you gotta pronounce the L in salmon.
Wheezy WTF
Oh my. I can't.
Jason Rodriguez
Why are we not pronouncing?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Definitely some New York shit.
Wheezy WTF
We also got the king of headlines here. Jason Ja Lee.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Pod blessings. You already know Mr. Boxing.
Wheezy WTF
How was yalls weekend, man?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I was trying to dodge the vid. I took three of them tests to make sure I wasn't suffering from the vid.
Wheezy WTF
Wait, wait, wait. Did you buy ok, only because, you know, they expired. Yeah, I still have Covid tests.
Jason Rodriguez
Nope.
Wheezy WTF
In my medicine cabinet.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, yeah?
Wheezy WTF
Yeah, 2020.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
So I just like.
Wheezy WTF
You bought brand new?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, I definitely have a stack of like five or six that's sitting there. Keep them. I'm not.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, that's nostalgic. Yeah, that's gonna be worth it.
Wheezy WTF
That's nostalgic. Trust me.
Jason Rodriguez
In 10 years, that's. That you got from 2019.
Wheezy WTF
Hold on. No, I got the ones that literally, like the post office sent out to you if you just requested it. I got them joints.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Keep that.
Jason Rodriguez
That's going to be the. The Metro card. Think about 10 years in the future. Watch. We gonna be revisiting Covid.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You know what? The way this shit is nowadays, I wouldn't be surprised if you put that thing on ebay.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And somebody be like, yo, I bought a COVID test from a vintage COVID test from 2020.
Wheezy WTF
I'm glad like, that you're here though, with us. We were a little worried.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, no, it wasn't even that bad. But I just don't do sick well. Like, when I'm sick, I be like, yo, shut down, Shut down. Fuck everything. And so I was like, damn, bro, I wanna be here to talk this shit on this microphone on Monday. I gotta make sure I don't got the vid.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, and I ain't even gonna hold you you to get better. But if you were sick. Oh, yeah, I gotta go to Ghana this week. It was just gonna be me and AK I was about to give yomi a mic.
Jason Rodriguez
I said, we might have to have some Covid tests in here for Dodge to make sure we all right.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
No, that was on my mind. I was like, damn, these niggas about to go to Africa. Niggas can catch the goddamn yellow fever, Covid.
Wheezy WTF
No, no, no, no. I got that yellow fever vaccine.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, you got that vaccine?
Wheezy WTF
Had to get vaccine.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You're not playing that shit over there.
Jason Rodriguez
You gotta get it before we travel.
Wheezy WTF
So the yellow fever vaccine expires every 10 years. The last time I went was 2016. And so, actually, no, that was Nigeria, so I ain't gonna hold you. I did just go. But my. But my homegirl knew a billionaire, so we didn't have to do any of the requirements to get into the country.
Jason Rodriguez
Saying too much.
Wheezy WTF
Okay, sorry.
Jason Rodriguez
Don't clip this one up. Don't eat her ass.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah, I'm not gonna lie. So on arrival, no bags. No, we just landed in Ghana and were escorted through the airport and just
Aaron A. Kinghouse
started walking through the country.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah, she knew a billionaire nigga that just made sure we were good.
Jason Rodriguez
Saudi Arabia.
Wheezy WTF
No, he's a. He's a. He's a. He's a Ghanaian billionaire.
Jason Rodriguez
I mean, they.
Wheezy WTF
I'm not going to lie. I did just go to Ghana in, like, 2022, 2023. But I lost the fucking card. Like, the yellow. No, no, no. I just went and got a whole nother round because I did have to get yellow fever and malaria to go to Nigeria. Oh, yeah, but that was 2016, so I knew my time had lapsed for when I got it. By the way, they just know us N is traveling more. Back in 2016, my yellow fever vaccine was about $120 from a CVS.
Jason Rodriguez
How much is it now, baby?
Wheezy WTF
First off, everywhere in Atlanta was quoting me 475.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, my gosh.
Wheezy WTF
I ended up going to Costco pharmacy. Costco still charged me.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, don't tell nobody.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, right.
Wheezy WTF
Okay, I ain't gonna hold y'. All. Fuck that Costco is a little plug.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Costco got everything.
Wheezy WTF
I don't know shit about no BJ's. First off, I don't need nothing wholesale. I decided not to have children. So y' all niggas that got kids is the one that gotta buy shit. Wholesale.
Jason Rodriguez
You don't have nieces and nephews or God sisters.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
God.
Jason Rodriguez
I mean, God.
Wheezy WTF
They're all in Florida. They're all in Florida. And guess what? My 12 pack of uncrustables lasts me a long time.
Jason Rodriguez
I hope you get me.
Wheezy WTF
I don't need any more than 12
Jason Rodriguez
that got three kids.
Wheezy WTF
Why would you wish that on?
Jason Rodriguez
Cause you still don't have no kids. It still works out in your favor. You just have them.
Wheezy WTF
Why would you want me to have a nigga with three kids?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But that's how it happens.
Jason Rodriguez
Cause I think I told you, I think what the Internets don't get and what your peers. I see that you are a nurturing spirit and you could be very well positioned to be a great stepmom baby.
Wheezy WTF
If I said I don't wanna be a mom, I don't wanna be a step one either. Don't wanna be a step one.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But I believe that's how though. Like my homegirl used to always clown who play video games.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And now she.
Wheezy WTF
She wouldn't video game it.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
She has a brand new baby from a nigga who. From a nigga who. Who makes money on streams and plays video games.
Jason Rodriguez
He got the baby right here.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
While he got the. While he's on calling. I always told her that was gonna happen. I said, you're gonna fall in love with a nigga who plays video game.
Wheezy WTF
When we are women that talk about video game n, we are not talking about the ones don't do it again. They get paid for video games. Oh, see, you just said he makes money, bruh.
Jason Rodriguez
It's a job.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You already know it's a job. But that's not how she was talking about it.
Wheezy WTF
Well, that's what I'm saying. I would date. I would date a streamer or a video gamer. If that's. If he making a lot of money on streams.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
If he making big money on streams.
Wheezy WTF
Yes.
Jason Rodriguez
What if he just like to do the shit?
Wheezy WTF
No, go get a job.
Jason Rodriguez
That's the thing.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You can't have a job and play Madden.
Jason Rodriguez
So the thing is, that's true too.
Wheezy WTF
Here's the thing.
Jason Rodriguez
I ain't play Madden in a minute.
Wheezy WTF
I be too busy if we're not recording. If you think about the average person that works a 9 to 5, right. If you're talking about the amount of time that you have to be with your partner in a relationship when you work a nine to five, you're waking up and you're commuting, then you're commuting after work, you are spending a good 10 hours a day at your job.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yes.
Wheezy WTF
So by the time you get home, bro, Monday through Friday, I'm not seeing you as my partner to know that before we get in bed, you gotta spend three, four, five hours on the video game.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Five hours is excessive.
Wheezy WTF
But that's the video type of game I'm talking about. And then on the weekend, the only time I got with you, you on the video games.
Jason Rodriguez
So that's the balance. The weekend. And then out of one out of those five days in the work week, you're gonna sacrifice some overnight hours. You're gonna wait till she sleep.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
As soon as she's snoring, that'll be the one day. Cause you can't. You need some rest. And that'll be the one day throughout the week. And then the weekends. Then you just gotta figure out how you have quality time.
Wheezy WTF
I don't like none of that.
Jason Rodriguez
But now if you are a gamer with him. Solved.
Wheezy WTF
I'm not. Oh, I'm not. I'm not. Anyways, my weekend was great.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, yeah. You know, we need to hear this. Don't do this. I saw the remix.
Jason Rodriguez
I'll be. Put her in the corner. Belt to ass. Bare licks, belt to ass.
Wheezy WTF
What was the problem?
Jason Rodriguez
Your mother know about this?
Wheezy WTF
I sent her the video.
Jason Rodriguez
What'd she say? I wanna see her reaction.
Wheezy WTF
Listen, listen. Well, I sent it to her.
Jason Rodriguez
It was way too. I thought the chair. I was like, this chair is gonna break.
Wheezy WTF
No, wait a minute. Can I tell you how scared I was? So basically, y', all, I went to Greensboro to do the Boys for Life concert.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
To get your lick back.
Wheezy WTF
To get my opportunity of a lifetime, which was to go up on stage and get a lap dance from Spectacular from Pretty Ricky.
Jason Rodriguez
I wasn't a lap dance.
Wheezy WTF
Listen, if you know me, you know that I grew up on and Love Blue Stars by Pretty Ricky. This is the 20th year anniversary of that album, which also makes me feel old as fuck.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, that's very old feeling.
Wheezy WTF
And it was great. It was great. Everything worked out. The arena was so, so easy to navigate.
Jason Rodriguez
Uh oh.
Wheezy WTF
And it made me feel like, I'm not gonna lie, Cardi B came out and almost threatened to cancel and not show up first.
Jason Rodriguez
She said I wasn't doing it. She said, man, it's not.
Wheezy WTF
Because to be fair, I don't know what it is. I genuinely think the niggas who are in charge of that backstage situation don't like women.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That might be the case.
Wheezy WTF
They're nasty. They're rude. I think I told y', all, I went to the Brandi and Monica concert, and they did the same thing. Do you know they tried to tell Monica she couldn't come in?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That's crazy.
Wheezy WTF
For the Brandi and Monica tour.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Like, what do you think this is? What are you talking about? It's Monica.
Wheezy WTF
They were. And you know, Gunica showed up.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Like, she probably showed up with a shisty. Like, nigga. What?
Wheezy WTF
Nigga, what? This is my show.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Can't go in.
Wheezy WTF
Wait. So it was kind of crazy. Like, I don't know why Atlanta acts that way. I literally was in there. Like, Usher, Chris Brown, J. Cole. They about to see me in middle America. I'm not even gonna try to do that shit at State Farm. New York is another thing. Cause everyone believes they're famous, so everyone's also trying to get in. And you know that Nigga went to St. John. So tricky.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, yeah.
Wheezy WTF
It's gonna be crazy. Yeah. I'm like, you know what? I'm gonna meet these niggas in Alabama. Like, St. Louis. Something like, random. But anyways, had a blast. Did everything I wanted to do. Rubbed him down. I did go above board.
Jason Rodriguez
She did what she said she was gonna do, right? Cause I did run the nipples and shit.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I was like, oh, my goodness. Did you lick the nigga?
Wheezy WTF
It looked like that.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
It looked like that. I saw her face get around. I was like, is she licking this nigga right now?
Wheezy WTF
I did lick him, and then he brought the honey out and he put it in his mouth. And so I opened my mouth and told him to spit it in my mouth.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, yeah. Yes.
Jason Rodriguez
Welcome back.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Mom know. Yes.
Wheezy WTF
We will insert the clip here.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But wait, where we did it. Wait.
Wheezy WTF
Yes. Okay. Okay. To be fair, I didn't think he was going to do it, so. But you know, I'm nasty. I'm about say I'm nasty, but I see him, like, dancing, and so I'm
Jason Rodriguez
nasty ass he ate.
Wheezy WTF
So he puts it. I don't. You know, I don't know the ass he ate. I don't. I didn't e ass the night before, but I did es closer to the night before that. But it doesn't matter. He didn't taste it. He spit it into my mouth and.
Jason Rodriguez
And you swallowed?
Wheezy WTF
Yeah, well, yeah. What was I gonna do, Spit it on stage?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
No, that would have been rude. That would have been rude. Wait, so what angle did you have of.
Wheezy WTF
So we got. We got two angles of it, y'. All.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I can't wait to see It. If you wanna see it, that was fantastic.
Wheezy WTF
If you wanna see it this week, it will be on my page in its entirety. My middle school self.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm appalled.
Wheezy WTF
Couldn't believe it.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I'm thrilled.
Wheezy WTF
I'm hyped for it. I was so hyped. I will say, too, coochie was hot.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I bet.
Jason Rodriguez
Okay, that's what I wanna get to. Let's get to the coochie.
Wheezy WTF
It was okay. So I met.
Jason Rodriguez
When he was doing his. Did he touch there?
Wheezy WTF
He.
Jason Rodriguez
Or he was being.
Wheezy WTF
So here's the thing.
Jason Rodriguez
Cause I know it's one thing, but when you performing and you're being performative, you don't do all the things.
Wheezy WTF
No, I will say.
Jason Rodriguez
But it looked like when I saw. I'm like, wait, he didn't call. That's why I was like, oh, he's hella close.
Wheezy WTF
I. This thing smell like water. Hold on.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, listen.
Wheezy WTF
I bet I'm not. I bet.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I'm just saying, like, he put his
Wheezy WTF
head down there if he wanted to. If he wanted to, like, really inhale, he would have got pussy smell.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You know what I mean?
Wheezy WTF
Go ahead and get you a whiff. It was close. It was nice. Here's the thing, too. I go to women's strip clubs. I've never really liked. Had a man dance like that.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You never had that type of.
Wheezy WTF
I've done it in Vegas.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Okay, okay.
Wheezy WTF
And yeah, you know, coochie was. Baby, I was walking. It was like, squeaking. When I got off stage, that pussy was. Pussy was. Don't look at me like this when I say, like, okay, y' all aren't a woman. But like, wait. But like, okay, wait. Y' all know how when your dick gets hard. Y' all know when your dick gets hard? I felt the moistness.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You knew, like, oh, I'm for anyone
Wheezy WTF
who watches the lap dance.
Jason Rodriguez
Are you a grower or would like
Wheezy WTF
a lap dance from, like, Chris Brown?
Jason Rodriguez
Are you a grower or a shower?
Wheezy WTF
Oh, baby.
Jason Rodriguez
It was like the clit was jumping it all.
Wheezy WTF
The clit was throttling.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That nigga was in there doing the Harlem.
Jason Rodriguez
It had a heartbeat. He had his own post. Yeah, your apple watch started.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
She says he closed some rings.
Wheezy WTF
It was like, yo, y' all done? Y' all done. This is awesome. But yeah, yeah, it was great. It was great. It was everything I wanted it to be. It was. Yeah, it's like a bucket list item, like. Cause even during the Chris Brown tour, right as women, we were all like, oh, my God, we want to be that girl. And, you know, it's just like, yeah. Wow. By the way, everything was consensual. I want to throw that out there. I do happen to know Spectacular personally, so it wasn't like a random. He pulled me up. Clearly, this was coordinated. We talked about what we were going to do. I asked him to put it in my. Like, everything was. He laughed. He knew I was going to rub him.
Jason Rodriguez
No, he did. He was a good showman.
Wheezy WTF
He was a good showman. Everything was consensual, by the way. However, I also performed. So at one point, by the time. So he blindfolded me for the whole beginning of the lap dance. I was like, nick, I can't see Shaq. By the time he took the blindfold off, I was going back. And then I. By the way, your legs were trembling. No, I wouldn't say I got in trouble by his team. But when we went to the back, they kind of, like, reprimanded me for trying to look under the towel because I tried to peek underneath the towel.
Jason Rodriguez
And we talked about that.
Wheezy WTF
Right?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Whether the towel.
Wheezy WTF
The towel is for sure. Like, the towel not coming off.
Jason Rodriguez
Right.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Wait, so what is. How did they reprimand? These are men reprimanding.
Wheezy WTF
This is a man. And the men was like, yeah. They was like, we putting zip ties moving forward. Cause you not supposed to be under there trying to see the magic stick. That's literally what they said, by the way. It was a great time. I got really lit because also, just to share another moment where I'm like, oh, my middle school self. After the performance, because it's Greensboro, nobody really had an after party, so everyone had after parties in, like, their own green rooms.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Right?
Jason Rodriguez
Nice.
Wheezy WTF
And so I got my ass whooped in Uno.
Jason Rodriguez
Uh. Oh.
Wheezy WTF
By ple. It was me, Pleasure, Spectacular. Our homegirl Diana, and then another girl. Them niggas whooped us both times, and we were playing for shots.
Jason Rodriguez
Love it. Oh.
Wheezy WTF
When I say cook, I said, you know what? No more Uno. You guys get a lot of practice.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, all too.
Wheezy WTF
Going out on uno with a wild. Like, niggas was just dirt. N Was going out with draw fours.
Jason Rodriguez
Like, oh, they playing like a spade. That's what I'm talking about.
Wheezy WTF
It was like, N. This ain't phase 10. But, no, it was a great time. I loved it. Shout out to Pretty Ricky. Shout out to everybody. Amerie was gorgeous. We got to see the whole set. Amerie was beautiful, by the way, Those videos of her, y', all. I just wanna stick up for her real quick.
Jason Rodriguez
It's the same.
Wheezy WTF
No, no, no. That bitch can sing.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, yeah.
Wheezy WTF
That bitch's legs and dance were glistening and soft. Bro, she's 42 years old looking all of 26 gorgeous.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Shout out, Emma Lee.
Wheezy WTF
Them Franchise boys went up there. Crime Mob was great.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, all the shits look crazy, by the way.
Wheezy WTF
Young jock. I'm not supposed to be looking at you with lust. What the fuck? This nigga got on some type of that look. That nigga look like a clone.
Jason Rodriguez
Y' all know how we talk about Gucci?
Wheezy WTF
It was great. But if you guys have a chance, I think they still have like another week of shows. Boys for Life tour. It was millennial nostalgia and it was wonderful. It was great. But let's get into this is America, y'.
Jason Rodriguez
All.

Okay, so quick, behind the scenes moment about my business. Because people always ask me, like, how do I actually run everything? So Shopify is literally the platform where I turned this tiny ide idea into a business. Before this, I was really just like popping up at any in person event, any vending opportunity I could, which I still do, but I wasn't really as focused online. I. I was like, you know, the websites are going to be too much to build out. I'm not like a super techie person, even though I can make things cute. And I didn't want to put up a website that would run my customers away. I wanted it to be efficient, to be easy. And Shopify helped me build brown girlgrinding.com out. Once I switched to Shopify, it finally clicked like, okay, I can actually do this. It's not about it being tough. It's about using the right platform to make it easy. Shopify takes all of the guesswork out. I build my own store, I manage my community, own my own customer relationships. Plus, this is my favorite thing. Shopify gets my products everywhere. I'm able to link stuff through Google, YouTube, TikTok, Shop the Shop app, even ChatGPT and Instagram, which is very important for me. And Shopify's AI co founder, sidekick, game changer, let me tell y'.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
All.
Mandy B.
Right, so it's helped me not only optimize my site, it helps me look at my sales trends, it updates my product skills. All the stuff I'm absolutely not an expert in. But it's like having a genius business partner that never sleeps. And right now, the Brongo Grinding storefront is and the Black Effect storefront is busy and Shopify is handling all of the heavy lifting. I love that for us. I am pumped. Like, so pumped that Shopify is going to show up at the Black Effect Podcast Festival this year in a big way and I will be there preaching this platform to all of the small black owned businesses that partner with us. So if you've been sitting on an idea or if you're ready to scale, which you've already started, this is your sign. Go to shopify.com Ben if I can do it, you can do it too. Yes,

it's me again. We prepped. It's the time for empowerment and I've got a message for you. You gotta think about sexual health no matter what. Where, where, with who. Yeah, yeah. To all you lovers out there, ain't no judgment. This is your cue. Guess who. Guess who's better.

Wheezy WTF
the Live Nation lawsuit. We talked about this jot. Do you want to kind of summarize this and what's happening and your thoughts because you dropped this one in the chat?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, so. So Live Nation and Live Nation and Ticketmaster were sued by the federal government, by the Department of Justice, for monopoly antitrust laws violations. And, you know, for a long time, Ticketmaster has been under fire. Back in the 90s, the rock group Pearl Jam took issue with Ticketmaster. There was controversy during the Obama administration because the Obama administration was actually the people who allowed Ticketmaster and Live Nation to merge in this kind of way. When they merged, they gave them permission to merge with stipulations that they were supposed to follow through on that. Obviously, they didn't follow through on as far as pricing and all that kind of thing. So they were sued. And really, this thing started, ironically, with Taylor Swift fans.
Wheezy WTF
Taylor Swift. I was about to say there's not
Aaron A. Kinghouse
many things we can credit. Good, positive things from crazy ass Taylor Swift fans, but they actually were the ones who got to get credit for making this happen.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, wow. Okay.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Because during her eras tour, when these tickets went on sale, people were frantic trying to get tickets and the prices were just going through the roof. And they're stuck in these rooms and queues, allegedly. And they're just watching the prices go
Jason Rodriguez
up because the boxes.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah. Boxing and all kinds of shit going on. And Ticketmaster is playing games with the prices and the venues are playing games with the parking, the VIP and all this kind of stuff. So they sued, and for the first time in American history, a jury actually heard the case. In all the other antitrust cases that were brought by the doj, they were heard by a judge, a singular person. So now regular people got to sit on a jury and hear the case. And not only did they hear the case, they heard the messages that the Live Nation and Ticketmaster employees were sharing internally about, oh, yeah, we robbing them blind. And venue promoters talking about how much they're gonna charge for parking and all this crazy stuff. Basically just taking advantage of people.
Wheezy WTF
Now, what's crazy is you just brought up the jury.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Mm.
Wheezy WTF
The jury reached the decision. However, for whatever reason, with this legal process, the judge, Judge Aaron Subramanian.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, yeah.
Wheezy WTF
For whatever reason, they're adding a second process to this. And he is expected to oversee the second phase of this case.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Correct.
Wheezy WTF
And in this phase, they'll focus on determining potential solutions and remedies for this problem.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, how to pay people. How do you make restitution for these crimes? And all of this money that they've taken out of everybody's pocket.
Wheezy WTF
There's also states. So this. You're speaking of the federal case, right? There are states right now, I think it was Ohio. Virginia is one of them.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
40 states in total initially.
Wheezy WTF
And they're. Yeah. So out of the 50 states, 40 of them.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
The whole America was like, fucked up.
Wheezy WTF
Was damn near like, this is bullshit. So it's interesting, as of right now, this case could take still years. It could take.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
It's a very long time.
Wheezy WTF
It could still take years. So y'.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
All.
Jason Rodriguez
And who benefits from the payout?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Well, that's what the.
Wheezy WTF
So that's what the second phase is for. But also, that's where it's like, y', all, we're still gonna have to deal with these resale tickets for Chris Brown and Usher.
Jason Rodriguez
For everything.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
For everything. We'll go see Jay Z at Yankee Stadium. Jay Z. And you're gonna pay big money.
Wheezy WTF
We are going for at least our next couple summers. And what we're gonna have to deal with.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, for sure.
Wheezy WTF
We are gonna have to deal with resale tickets going up and just chaos ensuing now, because we were talking about this lawsuit and ticket prices and concertgoers. Coachella finally wrapped after two weeks. The Internet, for the most part, really heavily leaned into Justin Bieber and his performance. My algorithm, however, obeyed the scams that were taking place this year. I don't know what recession we're in, but niggas was coming out $20,000 on houses and hotels and motels, and it's gotten ridiculous. I couldn't believe that, you know, like, damn. There were a lot of scams this year, though. There was artist bands, quote, unquote, being sold that weren't real artist bands. There were Airbnbs that were being listed that weren't real. And when people were getting there, there was no home or they were doing what happens. A lot of times people plan this a year in advance. The Airbnb hosts were canceling because they knew people were willing to spend more the week of. Oh, so people were getting there, it was canceled and saying that it was double booked. No, they just were able to charge a higher rent.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
This weekend, you could charge $3,000 a night.
Wheezy WTF
I am curious to see what happens with Airbnb. This is giving class action lawsuit. It's happened with Coachella, but I assume
Jason Rodriguez
it's oh, is it just people taking advantage of.
Wheezy WTF
That's the thing, though. There has to be something that, like, bro, you're out on money. Like, as a concert goer, you plan to stay here, you put your money towards here last minute, you have to find something that costs you $10,000 more.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Consumer protection has to happen. Consumer protection has to happen in some kind of way. They have to figure this shit out because, like, Coachella has gotten so expensive to go to now that it's like, you can't just have people out on their ass like that.
Wheezy WTF
But it's not even Coachella. You know what we talk about Airbnb not owning hotels, and all of the people a part of that platform are independent contractors. It's the same reason why when there's a sexual assault or something that happens with an Uber driver, Uber tries to say, our hands are off. They're independent contractors.
Jason Rodriguez
Right.
Wheezy WTF
There has to be some sort of protection for the consumer using these platforms that. No, as the platform, you have to be somewhat responsible. It can't be these individual independent contractors that y' all are hiring.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Right.
Wheezy WTF
Like, you can't do that. It's crazy. Now, why I brought up Lil Wayne in this is because I'm sick of this nigga crying. So Lil Wayne took to his Twitter account to say, it's truly a humbling experience when events like Coachella and the Grammys come around. And like clockwork, I'm uninvited and uninvolved. I appreciate my position or space. I hold in yalls heart and mind. If so, because you're the humbling experience that's timeless, and for that, I thank you. I ain't shit without you. Now, he did this shit for the super bowl, too.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yep. What was Wayne.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, God. I'm curious. I'm curious your thoughts.
Jason Rodriguez
I always wonder when artists, legacy artists, when they go out on this, as you say, crying, you know, about whatever's going on, do they remember? Well, one thing is, what's the team around him? Cause this is a decade. This is a decade now of this type of interaction with him and us.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And to my knowledge, Taz is no longer managing him. Right. Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
Because not that I. He's the bank. Not to focus on the money aspect. He's the guy, the legacy guy. He has to have a good team around him to be that aware that his brand as Lil Wayne took a hit politically.
Wheezy WTF
There we go.
Jason Rodriguez
Because it shouldn't be said, let's get to it.
Wheezy WTF
Yep.
Jason Rodriguez
Like it matters. Right. And then when he did the whole black lives matter? I don't care about black. Yeah, he said that if I ain't involved in it, then keep that shit. Right. Summarizing. That matters, right? The health issues. Right, Wayne.
Wheezy WTF
Not only that too. Hold on. There's a lot of people in the comments. Over the last decade or so, he's been added to things that he's canceled last minute.
Jason Rodriguez
So that's the thing that he's shown up late for. It goes back to behavior too, right? The drugs and the misuse and whatnot. We love Wayne. We wanna see Wayne healthy so he can deliver the best that he has to offer at this stage of his career. But the moments that he doesn't do it, and then he'll talk, say something political. We frown upon it. We like, ah, fuck him. You know what I mean? And now, because he's not being recognized, right, by the Coachellas, by the super bowl, by these platforms, he does feel away. Cause he feels. But he did he feel entitled.
Wheezy WTF
Two years ago, he performed at Togetherland Fest, which is a one music fest.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yep.
Wheezy WTF
Right.
Jason Rodriguez
And what happened?
Wheezy WTF
I'm not gonna lie. It was a good. It was a good show. It was a good show.
Jason Rodriguez
Right?
Wheezy WTF
But it was a good show. However, what's interesting is I happen to know concert people that do the lights,
Aaron A. Kinghouse
that travel with the production.
Wheezy WTF
The production. I have also heard that he's been doing the same exact set for the
Jason Rodriguez
last five years again. Going back to the team, going back to the creative.
Wheezy WTF
So even that creative, like, I love
Jason Rodriguez
when artists sit down and they just shut the fuck up, right? And hunker down and get their shit together and come back outside. Yeah. And now we see the results of that. We have not seen that from him yet.
Wheezy WTF
You know, what we could be seeing, though, from him. And what we've seen bring a resurgence to careers. I guarantee you, Tiny desk would have him up there. We saw a resurgence with Usher's career 20 years later because of that performance.
Jason Rodriguez
You think that they didn't reach out to him by now?
Wheezy WTF
No, but this is what I'm saying. And so I think that instead of you sitting here complaining, bro, the Internet is real. Get your ass on the Internet. Get back to where we want to see you. We're excited about you. Remind us of the fucking Carter, bro.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That's who you are.
Jason Rodriguez
But it's hard to when you have so much data, bring back the fireman. That suggests otherwise.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
The legacy. Legacy. Rap artists are, like, having the best couple of years they're running. Truthfully, they're running the excitement of rap music alive, bro.
Wheezy WTF
Do you know the number one rap song this year already is TI's?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, that just went gold. Let em go.
Wheezy WTF
Let him go, bro. He at 45 years old, got brought out to Cardi B's show. We saw Jeezy come out. Jeezy is doing what he's doing with the orchestra. We have Jay Z at Yankee Stadium.
Jason Rodriguez
But why? But I mean, they're mentally healthy.
Wheezy WTF
There we go.
Jason Rodriguez
They're physically healthy.
Wheezy WTF
You're right.
Jason Rodriguez
And they're not saying why.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah, even TI cut them dress.
Jason Rodriguez
And they're not ignorant to what's happening in society. Right.
Wheezy WTF
Ok. I'm not gonna lie. If we even think about just work ethic and what these older rap artists are giving us. We have seen Wayne give us the rock alternative version of his records. He could do what Jeezy's doing right now.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
He could do something special.
Wheezy WTF
He could get a residency. I've seen him perform at Dre's. He still has it in him. But I am wondering, like you said, if it's his health, his work ethic. And unfortunately, while he still has a fan base, he has pushed us away with the little things that he has
Aaron A. Kinghouse
set online and mind.
Jason Rodriguez
Kid you not remember last summer he put out a record and it was a buildup. Cause it seemed like he was trying to angle the Kendrick Drake thing a little bit. And he put out the. What was the commercial? I think Jurgens was it.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Jurgens.
Jason Rodriguez
It was one of them. Moisture is it? And they promoted the Carter 6. And that's what it was. Carter 6, right?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Carter 6.
Jason Rodriguez
And that shit came and went because you.
Wheezy WTF
It wasn't even good music.
Jason Rodriguez
The music wasn't. And that's throwaway. It felt like it was throw away also.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
The problem is like I don't. Again, to your point, I don't know who's in his camp right now. I don't know who his artistic partners are. Producers, people that have vision, that put together videos. But like he needs something special, to your point, to remind us.
Jason Rodriguez
If I was in his circle, I could guarantee you. No, I don't have the resume, but I could guarantee you that I could get that nigga back to his prominence.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I believe it.
Jason Rodriguez
But he gotta know that there's people that feel him. Right, of course. And it's little hacks he needs to just do. And that's it.
Wheezy WTF
I mean, that's the thing too. And we've kind of said it. You can't want more for a person than what they Want, they want for themselves. So to me, when it comes to work ethic, you gotta stop doing the drugs. You gotta stop like, you gotta get off the Internet right now. You gotta get your ass in the booth, go work. And we've seen Wayne. We know Wayne can literally go into a booth and rap for 13 minutes straight.
Jason Rodriguez
Wayne was prodding too, for a little minute. He had a little podcast.
Wheezy WTF
I'm sorry, I don't want to hear. I don't want to. I don't want to hear Wayne talk the whole time like this for no hour. Hay don't nobody want to hear him talk. I want to hear him rap though. Y' all want to hear Wayne talk?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah. No, I don't want to hear Wayne talk.
Jason Rodriguez
See, that's the thing. When healthy Wayne, great, clear headed, lucid. He knows his sports, he knows his rap too. But it's like, dude, we got to get more of that, bro.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But I just think that, I just think he needs something special to kind of reignite it, right? Like when we saw Usher, like, I feel like Usher's resurgence or whatever you want to call it kind of started with the residency, right? Like he put out a couple albums. I don't think those albums went over like super great, right. He was kind of mid level, but when he started performing, the excitement was still there. And like, people still love Wayne.
Jason Rodriguez
The roller skating, the roller skating and the whole night.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Even LaRussell's comments about Wayne earlier this year had people upset because they was like, why are you shitting on Wayne? And when he's saying Wayne never said nothing, some people agreed, obviously, but there was a lot of people that would be in them comments naming songs that were album cuts that was like, yo, Wayne has talked about a lot of shit. This, that and the third. So it's like people still love Wayne. Wayne still has a lot of cultural value. I just think he needs, he needs to set up his own platform in.
Wheezy WTF
I also don't want to hear him keep crying.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, no more bitching and crying.
Wheezy WTF
Like, no more bitching, bro.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
None of that, none of that.
Wheezy WTF
Like if you go out and actually show us that you are in demand. Because to be fair, the last tour he went on n was at like the Tabernacle in house blues, right? So I don't think he has even right now the cachet of doing an arena or stadium by himself.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, I don't think he's doing it
Jason Rodriguez
unfortunately, and he don't need to do that right now. Yeah, that's the funny thing.
Wheezy WTF
But when we're talking about festivals having 100,000 people. Like, you have to get people excited about you again. Because us. And when I say us millennials, younger and older millennials, don't seem as excited about him anymore. And we are the ones that are buying the tickets right now.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah.
Wheezy WTF
We are the demo that is keeping.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That would go to that.
Wheezy WTF
That's allowing a Bow Wow and Pretty Ricky and B2K to tour again. We're the demo that's allowing the Ashanti's Nellies. Remember what was the. What was the Vegas one that had the Lovers and Friends?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, Lovers and friends. Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah. Yep.
Wheezy WTF
Like, there's. Our era of music is allowed to see a resurgence in money because they're in demand again. Because we're excited about that.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
We love those artists.
Wheezy WTF
We are not right now excited about Wayne.
Jason Rodriguez
You know, it's funny.
Wheezy WTF
And he has to make us know that you're gonna show up on time, that you're not gonna be cracked out. And unfortunately, in this political landscape, you gotta put the red hat away.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah. Stop all this bullshit.
Jason Rodriguez
And that's the thing. We have so much data about that.
Wheezy WTF
We do.
Jason Rodriguez
And that's hard to.
Wheezy WTF
That nigga got a whole picture cheese next to the nigga.
Jason Rodriguez
You know, it's funny. Over a decade ago, there was a conversation. Big T. There was a conversation about segmenting. What is it?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, doing genres of rap.
Jason Rodriguez
What's the Contemporary hip hop.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
And then those artists at the time, like, low key. Just like I've been thought we should. But now those same artists are. They easily fit into that category. And the economy of people who go to the tours, the shows, they spend money that way. Just to your point. That's why you could go to a Pretty Ricky, which is crazy to even think that they're in that. Not elda, but the mature.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, I'm not gonna lie. I was shocked that B2K and I thought bow wow was bigger than B2K. And I will say, too. And it was interesting because in Atlanta, they brought out so many people like Bow Wow brought out Jagged Edge and Belly Gang, Cushington and YK Nese and all these guys.
Jason Rodriguez
And you getting your money's worth 100%.
Wheezy WTF
It was interesting because in Greensboro, he played a lot of his records. The production was all different. Like, the beats weren't the beats. And I'm like, I wonder if he sold his catalog or music the same way that Justin Bieber could only perform some of those songs.
Jason Rodriguez
Interpolations of it.
Wheezy WTF
There was interpolations of the music. And I'm like. It wasn't until I was catching onto the words that I was like, bro, this isn't the same beat. So it was really interesting. Now we got into politics a little bit.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah.
Wheezy WTF
I want to lean into. Yes. Do we want to start with Caitlyn Jenner or Tina Campbell?
Jason Rodriguez
This is not enriching.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
This is not enriching.
Wheezy WTF
No, this is not enriching. You know what? Let's start with Caitlyn Jenner.
Jason Rodriguez
She got a 27 wig on.
Wheezy WTF
No, no, no. By the way, Tomi Lahren looks like a whole new bitch. Yes, she does. So I want to play this clip, but basically, Caitlyn Jenner recently sat down and said that she's having issues with her passport because she, of course, is now a female. But the passport is coming back mail, and so she's. Let's just listen to it, get it renewed.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I send it back, comes back, gender marker M. Screws everything up. Tommy. Don't give a shit.
Wheezy WTF
There's a form in there.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
They made a mistake because you a man, you can correct it. So I fill out all the proper forms. I'm not calling anybody. I'm not calling the president. You know, I got his personal cell number. I'm not calling anybody.
Wheezy WTF
I'm gonna see if I can fix this myself, because it's not just about me.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
It's about all people in this situation. You know, So I even sent a hard copy of my birth certificate.
Wheezy WTF
Caitlin Marie Jenner.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Gender, sex, female.
Wheezy WTF
I. I did everything, and they sent
Aaron A. Kinghouse
it back M. They didn't change it at all.
Wheezy WTF
So now I'm in a position, Tommy,
Aaron A. Kinghouse
that what do I do, Right? This is a safety factor. Okay? I. I can't travel internationally anymore. Okay? I can't use my passport. I can use Global Entry. It says F. I can do this. I can travel in the United States. License, you know, driver's license, pilot's license, everything. Gender marker F. So it really creates a big problem.
Wheezy WTF
And I'm trying to figure out at this point what to do. I don't blame President Trump.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I love him. But for a lot of people, this
Wheezy WTF
is a huge issue. All right, we can stop here.
Jason Rodriguez
No, because I like when you. When you make the change. Do you. I thought it was his regular voice.
Wheezy WTF
No, no, no. When you make the change, there's the same way, like, a trans man would take testosterone and get a deeper voice. There's estrogen and things that can make your voice more feminine.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But also, I don't think that she took Any of that stuff. Because that's how Bruce sounded.
Jason Rodriguez
That's what I'm saying. That's why I was. And that's the only reason why I even said anything I wasn't trying to be.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I don't see no difference in the voice.
Wheezy WTF
Now here's the crazy part. Literally. Caitlin goes further to say that she still doesn't blame Trump. She also says she did end up writing a letter to Donald Trump and has not heard back from him.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
So you have his personal cell phone number, but you wrote him a letter.
Wheezy WTF
But she wrote him a letter. Get the fuck out.
Jason Rodriguez
Tomato, tomato, big tomato.
Wheezy WTF
It is mind boggling to me.
Jason Rodriguez
Talk to him.
Wheezy WTF
That you as a trans woman, understand the thoughts and views of Donald fucking Trump before he got into office and you still proceeded to vote for him and now can't travel international because of Donald.
Jason Rodriguez
I got you, bitch.
Wheezy WTF
I got you, bitch.
Jason Rodriguez
Crazy.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, shout out to Daniel Saint. This is a good friend of mine. He said, I don't understand how they can't travel internationally. Tons of boyish looking thuds traveling without an issue.
Jason Rodriguez
Yo, that's insane.
Wheezy WTF
A part of me is wondering, like,
Jason Rodriguez
yo, crew like that.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah, Because. Well, because at the end of the day, sheesh. At the end of the day, like, I'm confused why it matters so much, the M or F while you're traveling.
Jason Rodriguez
Right?
Wheezy WTF
Because when you go out and, like, I just don't understand the concern, like, oh, it's political. Especially if you still have an F on your birth certificate. You're saying if you have an F in global entry, all in tsa and
Aaron A. Kinghouse
you are who you are, like, your name is Caitlyn Jenner. It's been changed to Caitlyn Jenner. That's the name that it says on the passport. My thing is.
Wheezy WTF
My thing is. And this is where boohoo. You said, boo hoo, Woe is me. I don't feel bad that you can't travel international because it is a political thing. And the person that is keeping you from traveling international is someone you voted for.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And it wasn't even like a secret what they were running on. Like, they talked about this for years and we're not.
Wheezy WTF
No, no, no. By the way, by the way, he literally said there's only two genders. I don't know what the fuck y' all are out here doing, but if you were born with a dick, you a man. And if you were born with a coochie, you a woman.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
What are y' all talking about?
Wheezy WTF
A billion times ingrained into us to let. They let. He let us know. The administration let us know that you would not be identified the way that you want to be identified.
Jason Rodriguez
And you cannot put the onus on the administration.
Wheezy WTF
And when I.
Jason Rodriguez
Not when the administration told you what
Wheezy WTF
the play was, you know what this is? You know what this is? Privilege of wealth. The same way that we talked about Lil Wayne thinking that the Black Lives Matter situation didn't align with him the same way asap. Rocky was like, I don't know about that shit, cause I'm in Calabasas. This is Caitlyn Jenner thinking that she was above the program.
Jason Rodriguez
Yup. You're not bigging in the program.
Wheezy WTF
Yes, I wanna identify how I wanna identify and can and will because I got money. And right now she is seeing that
Aaron A. Kinghouse
her money can't do shit.
Wheezy WTF
Can't do shit for her right now because of the person she voted into fucking unclock it.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah.
Mandy B.
Okay, so quick behind the scenes moment about my business. Because people always ask me, like, how do I actually run everything? So Shopify is literally the platform where I turned this tiny idea into a business. Before this, I was really just like popping up at any in person event, any vending opportunity I could, which I still do, but I wasn't really as focused on online. I'm able to link stuff through Google, YouTube, TikTok, Shop, the Shop app, even ChatGPT and Instagram, which is very important for me. And Shopify's AI co founder, sidekick, game changer, let me tell y'. All. Right? So it's helped me not only optimize my site, it helps me look at my sales trends, it updates my product skills, all the stuff I'm absolutely not an expert in, but it's like having a genius business partner that never sleeps. And right now, the Bronco grinding storefront and the Black Effect storefront is busy and Shopify is handling all of the heavy lifting. I love that for us. I am pumped, like so pumped that Shopify is going to show up at the Black Effect Podcast Festival this year in a big way and I will be there preaching this platform to all of the small black owned businesses that partner with us. So if you've been sitting on an idea or if you're ready to scale, which you've already started, this is your sign. Go to shopify.com Ben if I can do it, you can do it too. Yes,
Wheezy WTF
it's me again.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
We prepped.
Wheezy WTF
Guess who gets it's the time for empowerment and I've got a message for you. You gotta think about sexual health no matter what. Where, with who. Yeah yeah. To all you lovers out there, ain't no choice judgment. This is your cue.

This week on the podcast I am

sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook project Hail Mary, Massive Sci Fi adventure about survival and science and what happens when you wake up alone, very far from Earth.
Wheezy WTF
I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog
Aaron A. Kinghouse
in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these sections.
Wheezy WTF
And it's like, okay, yo, yo, yo.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Is this indulgent? And I really thought about it.
Wheezy WTF
I was like, no.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
At this point, it would kind of
Jason Rodriguez
be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story
Aaron A. Kinghouse
if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that deeply, emotionally affected me. And I left it on the mic. That's great because it served the story. People will say like, oh, my God, I cried at the end.
Wheezy WTF
It's like, yeah, dude, me too.

Wheezy WTF
Now I also wanna play Tina Campbell.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, it gets better.
Wheezy WTF
Tina Campbell recently doubled down.
Jason Rodriguez
She don't got Trump cell phone.
Wheezy WTF
She was a guest on the real. And this may also be why her husband of 20 years also filed for divorce. But you can see her soul. Look at that. Look at that.
Mandy B.
It' what you said appealed to me and it appealed to my Christian values
Wheezy WTF
more than the other candidate. Then when it comes down to it, I chose based on my faith.
Mandy B.
I didn't really like either one of
Wheezy WTF
the candidates, if I could just be honest.
Mandy B.
But it was two people that had a chance of winning. And so I voted based on my faith. Do I agree with everything that's being
Wheezy WTF
done and being said?
Mandy B.
No. Do I promote and advocate any of that? No.
Wheezy WTF
And do I choose to give any
Mandy B.
more of my time to anybody who
Wheezy WTF
has an opinion about my right to
Mandy B.
vote and who I vote for and what behind it? Not at all.
Wheezy WTF
So what's the next question?
Jason Rodriguez
No, no, no.
Mandy B.
I'm a Christian. I'm supposed to pray for the leader. Stand with does not mean I agree with everything. It means that I pray for you.
Wheezy WTF
Because of the things that he's been doing to this country. I'm upset with the things that he's doing in this country.
Mandy B.
We gotta follow up. I'm upset with a lot of that,
Wheezy WTF
but I. I don't agree with, with all of the choices, and I established
Mandy B.
that in my letter. But nobody wants to have a right
Wheezy WTF
to vote for who you want to
Mandy B.
vote for who you want to stand. But people were upset and you could understand. I ain't out campaigning for nobody but Jesus.
Wheezy WTF
Trump ain't Jesus, Trumpet.
Jason Rodriguez
According to not according to his social
Aaron A. Kinghouse
media, Trump had the AI.
Jason Rodriguez
He was Jesus, baby. He is Risen with Red Cross.
Wheezy WTF
This is my problem. And I had this conversation also with a family member who tried to align with the Christian ways of participating. Mind you, if you're new here, I am Jamaican. My dad is here on a green card. My uncle got deported. My family is Jamaican, period. And so to have a conversation with a family member of mine and her lean into the same thing that Tina Campbell did is interesting because we. We have family members that are not citizens, and we see people are literally that aren't citizens being stripped and being sent to wherever the fuck. And in terms of these Christian values, it's love thy neighbor. It's, you know, not to lead with hatred. And this person not only visibly led with hatred and homophobia and transphobia and racism, this same candidate also was just said last year, like, well, I ain't going to heaven. Like, his real beliefs, the fact that there's so many Christians saying, well, I voted based on faith. There's nothing that this man has done that has even shown you that he is a righteous leader.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Not even a little bit.
Wheezy WTF
Not even a little bit.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And the thing that pisses me, I'm so tired of people using this faith. Listen, I don't have. Inherently, I don't have a problem with religion. Like, I believe in God, but, like, I'm so tired of people using this faith to dictate and justify and shield and block. It's like this. It's like this Teflon vest. It's like this bulletproof cube of glass that everybody wants to prevent them from having any consequences from any accountability or anything like that. And it's like, yo, bro, why would you. He's not the Pope. Like, why would you let your faith determine who you're voting for? To your point, he's not a Christian. He's never showed any Christian values. He's never talked about God in a public way that would let you think that he is a man of God, that he's deeply religious or deeply spiritual. And yet you're just. All you gotta do is just say the words God. And that will make people like her and other religious people jump on board and be like, well, he said Jesus Christ, so I guess I gotta. He's my God.
Wheezy WTF
Can I also say I've been using the word accountable a lot. I don't understand why these people that voted for Trump can't just say, I got it wrong.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Just say, I fucked up.
Wheezy WTF
I fucked up. The fact that they want to lean,
Aaron A. Kinghouse
still wanna be right.
Wheezy WTF
They still wanna be right, and make excuses for A decision that was just wrong. Like, we see what's happening with our country right now. We're literally like in a place where people aren't traveling international, where people don't wanna come to America, where we may be a part of a world war because of his ties and actions with the Iranian government and everything, bro, what are we talking about?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I just want people to stop being simple.
Wheezy WTF
Gas prices are high, groceries are high, and this man is coming on national TV and everything's fine. Stock market's up, we're doing great.
Jason Rodriguez
America's the hottest country.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
The hottest country in the planet.
Wheezy WTF
We're viral.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
America's gone viral, bro. Says the president.
Jason Rodriguez
But you know what? I don't even. I'm not even mad at. Vote for who you want to vote for. That's how it's supposed to be. The issue here is your vote used to be a time when it was private, but when you go public and say that you stand on that, then you should be willing to accept people getting upset about scrutiny or the champion of your choice.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yep.
Jason Rodriguez
Now that the shit gun. Wherever we at right now, she can't play like, oh, I'm a Christian. That has nothing to do with that. Don't use that as your cop out. Don't just say, yo, man, I voted for him. I don't stand for what the administration is doing. And we here, that would have been it.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And I'll say to this, to this point, technically, you're right. People should be able to vote whoever you want to vote for.
Jason Rodriguez
But when you go public.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But also, this is not a regular. If you're a black Republican and you're conservative, I don't understand it personally, but do your thing.
Wheezy WTF
Black people are far more conservative than what the Internet was like.
Jason Rodriguez
But conservative in general.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Right.
Jason Rodriguez
And that's because that's more. So it doesn't have to be necessarily policy that they're in the line.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
It's just more about the life religion and what you're supposed to do.
Jason Rodriguez
They don't want to go to a gas station and see gates down. Like I do that. That don't mean I'm a Republican.
Wheezy WTF
Right, right.
Jason Rodriguez
I just don't like to see that shit. So some things, some ideas. Right. You know what I mean? But at the same time.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But this isn't. I'm sorry.
Jason Rodriguez
No, no, go ahead, go ahead.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
This isn't a regular Republican. This is not like John McCain. This isn't Mitch Romney. This isn't.
Jason Rodriguez
This is the WWE version.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Like, this is what.
Wheezy WTF
I know what's crazy. I would have never thought in my lifetime that I would have seen someone worse than a George W. Bush. Like when I was growing up, right? How he did not show up for New Orleans and us going to war and us being in debt and, you know, getting into debt after Bill Clinton alleged made the country debt free. Right?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
We would solve it.
Wheezy WTF
To see that type of Republican in office and think, my God, that is the devil. We get Obama right after we have two terms with him, then we see this nigga 2016, what he's capable of, the things he says. And to allow him back is like. And he's worse. He's worse than 2016 Trump.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
If you're a reporter, he's worse. No. 100%. Well, this is his. Because he knows that now. I can just press the gas. This is my second term. I can't come back no more. This is my chance to really let it all hang out and just do the shit that I wanna do. But if you're a real Republican, if you're a real conservative and you really hold those values, this should be an embarrassment to you. And the fact that it's not says that you don't really have any real values. You don't really stand on anything. For real. For real. Because if you did, you would look at this man and say, he doesn't represent what it is I'm talking about. You've been divorced a trillion times. Maybe you're not a deadbeat by the technical sense of the word, but I refuse to believe that Donald Trump raised his kids in any significant way other than, hey, Eric. And y' all can come to my office and hang out in my businesses. But, like.
Wheezy WTF
Well, we also know he's a whole hypocrite. He's sending people back to their countries while being married to a foreigner.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Like, none of this.
Wheezy WTF
Married to an immigrant, Right?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
With an accent, a hard accent.
Wheezy WTF
Who.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You know, I would be like, oh, you. Yeah, come on,
Wheezy WTF
Daddy. Like, it's nasty. It's disgusting.
Jason Rodriguez
And I think he filed divorce. You think he was tired of her? This is what I'm saying.
Wheezy WTF
Maybe, maybe, maybe, like, they. And they've been married for 20 years.
Jason Rodriguez
25.
Wheezy WTF
25. Irreconcilable differences. That's what all the niggas.
Jason Rodriguez
Ooh, what does that mean? You know, what does that mean? Who cheated? Wait, you think irreconcilable differences means cheat? I think that is the cleaner way to say somebody fucked up.
Wheezy WTF
Infidelity.
Jason Rodriguez
It could be.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yes.
Jason Rodriguez
No, infidelity.
Wheezy WTF
Infidelity. Is cheating.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Well, look at you. Depending on where you got married at, it would behoove you to say infidelity instead of irreconcilable.
Jason Rodriguez
Irreconcilable judge is gonna differences means that you are not willing to give the person a passion.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, yeah. That means that they come to an impasse.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah. And the impasse solved it.
Jason Rodriguez
Somebody did some shit. Well, he probably got some booty, some Democrat booty.
Wheezy WTF
I was about to say, if we really want to lean into it, it's most likely him. But he's the one who filed.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, he's the one who filed. I think she's the one.
Wheezy WTF
I don't know.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
He might be trying to get ahead of the lawyer. Or maybe he just got tired of the knowing his lawyers might have told him, Listen, if y' all gonna get divorced anyway, the best bet is for
Wheezy WTF
you to be as a man, you
Aaron A. Kinghouse
wanna file, you wanna lead this thing off instead of being the one subjugated to whatever they're gonna say about you.
Wheezy WTF
Now I will say he a Democrat. Where we're at currently as a society is scary. So last week we spoke about all of the women that were either murdered or wrong place, wrong time.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Femicide going crazy.
Wheezy WTF
There's. They're calling it like a femicide that's happening right now. I do want to say that this isn't just men. We are gonna talk about two certain stories that have gotten global news. But there's another one that just happened yesterday where a woman in London ran over another woman in front of the club and allegedly it was over them dealing with the same guy. Ran her over, Ran her over. And they are now saying rip. So I do believe the girl that got ran over passed away in the hospital. People are fucking losing it. We'll get into it. I know. Ja. You put the Justin Fairfax situation in the. That was earlier into the week. And then just this weekend, there's been news of a Louisiana father who killed eight children, ages 1 through 14. Seven of them were his. One child was not his. He did also shoot two grown women,
Aaron A. Kinghouse
one of whom was his wife.
Wheezy WTF
One was his wife. And they have survived their wounds. But I want us to talk about it. What's with the Justin Fairfax situation? Talk to me.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Justin Fairfax was the former lieutenant governor of Virginia and he murdered his wife and murdered himself and. Or committed suicide, took his own life. And outside of like the shock and the horror of the actual crime, the reaction online to people who knew Justin Fairfax, people like Roland Martin, people who were prominent Figures. People who were his fraternity brothers posting pictures with him, smiling, hanging out, eulogizing him, memorializing him, mourning his death, saying a lot of how their relationships were and how sad they are that this happened and all these things. And Roland Martin in particular got a lot of backlight. He probably still getting cooked on threads and Twitter and Instagram and everywhere in between for his post that basically talked all about Justin Fairfax and barely mentioned the fact that the wife was killed.
Wheezy WTF
Well, not only that, I wanna take a step back, because these are friends who are looking at him from whatever personal relationship they have. Right. Over the last couple months, family and friends have also said that he became a raging alcoholic and deadbeat father after not only his professional life unraveled, but so did his marriage. And this is the part that gets scary, right? Apparently, he stole money that was meant for his kids to buy the gun that he used in this murder. Suicide. Damn. And this all came as well, following her wanting to file for divorce.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Correct.
Wheezy WTF
So it was like, you wanna leave me? My career's over. Life is over. I'm taking everybody with me.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Which is essentially exactly what happened in the Shreveport shooting case. The man's wife told him, I want a divorce, and they had some type of argument, and he just couldn't take it. And this is the route that he decided to go.
Wheezy WTF
And this is where it gets scary. I know. Last week, the bonus episode has a lot of people emotional.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh.
Wheezy WTF
About women leaving with strange men. And what's crazy is the fear that we should also be having with the men that we're laying down with every night when we think about these crimes, right? Even the other two crimes that happened last week, there were two women that were killed who were pregnant and killed by the people they were pregnant by. There's one here. Both of them happened here in Georgia, too. One woman was a mother of two currently pregnant. Her family believes she was targeted by the man she was pregnant by. And then the Detroit rapper who got killed in her driveway was pregnant by a married man.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yep.
Wheezy WTF
And so when we talk about being in fear of just these strangers, I'm curious what we're doing as friends and family when we see that these women in our lives are literally in dangerous situations with the men that they know.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And that's the.
Wheezy WTF
Like, it's Almost a catch 22. Like, what are we talking about? Like, we are just as in danger with men that we know than a stranger.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
So when I first wrote about the Justin Fairfax thing, I wanted to look up the stats just to see, like, what is the number of women who are actually killed by their intimate partners? And so the Bureau of Justice and Statistics, this is a.gov website, so this is a government agency that takes in these statistics. And there was a 2021 survey that they did that shows that 35% of women who were killed were killed by intimate partners. 35%.
Wheezy WTF
35%.
Jason Rodriguez
Think about that. A thousand. If you go by a thousand, there's 350 people killed by their partners out
Aaron A. Kinghouse
of killed by their partners.
Wheezy WTF
It's so sad. It's so sad. Not to, like, state the obvious here, but I really do think. And it's something that we need to be. That we need to encourage more and shout out to Charlamagne, because the way we have platformed men getting into therapy, that's what needs to happen. And there's so much men that are against it. Right. We have to continue to encourage it because a lot of these men that are doing this, they're mentally unstable and they're reaching breaks where they don't. They don't have an outlet to work through these things with licensed professionals. And we have to encourage men at younger ages. Men in your 20s, start seeking therapy. Start working through your mommy troubles, your daddy issues. Like, start working through that. Start working over why you keep making these broken homes with women. Start working through what it looks like for you to live a life that. That you're happy of, but to sit here and be so miserable that you take the lives of children and women that you vow to love. It's crazy.
Jason Rodriguez
I was looking. I don't think I saved it. I think I liked. I won't look for it now, but I was trying to look up this video I saw over the weekend. I wish I knew the platform, but it was a brother. He had a bunch of male boys, black men, black kids, and they had a woman in front of the classroom, and he's telling them they was having scenarios. And he basically was like, hey, you know, trying to get the woman to agree to giving him a hug, Right? But she was kind of resistant. And he was teaching them, like, what to look for. When a woman says no, what does that look like? And what your response should be? And they would do a call and response. Is this right? And I thought that was so dope. And I'm like, yo, whoever that is, I would love to. We should participate.
Wheezy WTF
I'm shouting out his name. One moment.
Jason Rodriguez
There you have it.
Wheezy WTF
I just. I literally just.
Jason Rodriguez
Yo, that's crazy.
Wheezy WTF
I literally just made it.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, that's It.
Jason Rodriguez
That's it.
Wheezy WTF
That's it. Shout out to new emerging king.
Jason Rodriguez
New emerging King. Yes.
Wheezy WTF
The founder of the X for Boys.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yes.
Jason Rodriguez
Okay.
Wheezy WTF
And essentially what he's doing is helping little black boys know how to keep their calm. What boundaries are with women.
Jason Rodriguez
Yes.
Wheezy WTF
And it's a lot of things. He takes them. Boys should know retiring the flag. Boys should know traffic stops. Boys should know paying utilities.
Jason Rodriguez
Yes.
Wheezy WTF
And if you guys want to follow him and support this brother, his name is King Randall. He does have 881,000 followers. But his videos show the way that he's teaching young black boys how to exist.
Jason Rodriguez
This is how you behave in society.
Wheezy WTF
And we have to do more of this.
Jason Rodriguez
And then that's him identifying. We gotta do it. Course correction takes place young, right? Yes, you can, when you get older, but usually you done went through some shit, right? I saw that and that warmed my heart to see that. And I'm like, man, we gotta do way more than that. And it's funny cause I opened the app, right? And I mean, I can't listen to it now. It looks like he just posted this. Dr. J. Barnett, he just, he said, brothers, we got a problem.
Wheezy WTF
Yep.
Jason Rodriguez
And he's highlighting all of this shit. So I don't know, man, I don't know what the. You know, it was a tragedy of shooting in Queens, New York over the weekend or I think it might have happened Friday. This is all so Sad where a 15 year. They was on a basketball court and it looks like, you know, he was being attacked or whatever and the dude smacked him and he went to go smack him again, but he had the gun in his hand and he went to gun butt him, but the shot went off and the kid died. So they went on a lookout for the suspect. He offed himself 404 day and he's
Wheezy WTF
a 16 year old girl got killed.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
All teenagers, but by teenagers.
Jason Rodriguez
Now think about the dramas. They did this. The young kid gets shot, killed amongst other teens. They should not be experiencing this shit right now at all. But let alone 15, 14 to 19 years old. Insanity.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
The other part I want to add on to everything that we're talking about
Wheezy WTF
right now is yeah, Tiana Robinson, by the way, that was the not even woman. The little girl. The girl that was killed during four day at Piedmont Park. They just laid her to rest this week.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
The other part I want to put on this. In addition to having brothers like King Randall, you know, teaching kids to be younger, going to therapy, promoting therapy, making sure you get right. The other part of that is, men have to learn how to take the L. Ooh, ooh. You have to learn how this life is not going to be nice to you, and sometimes you're going to take an L. And you have to learn how to take that lift. You have to take your ego out of it. You have to take whatever your. Even if you have an initial reaction of anger, something makes you angry. You have to learn to control yourself, control your emotions, and don't lead with these things that are going to harm yourself, harm other people.
Jason Rodriguez
But a lot of these are.
Wheezy WTF
What is the fear that women have? Right? Of course, when we talk about giving people our number that we're not even interested in, it's because we have learned that men have not grappled with receiving rejection. And so when it comes that rejection is what men need to learn how to deal with. Because even this, it's women that finally wanna leave you. It's women that are fed up and wanna be free. Even in terms of the Justin Fairfax situation, her best friend just came out and said they were celebrating her 49th birthday and she said, I finally get to be free. And now she's not here with us anymore. As men who don't show up as the best partners or fathers or whatever, there has to be a way that you get through and receive that you weren't good enough for this person to stay, and you have to be able to let them walk away.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And a specific type of rejection, right? Because we're not just talking like, if you didn't get a job, you're not gonna go up to that office and beat up the hiring manager. You're not gonna go kill the hiring. If you didn't get a promotion at your job, you're not gonna go beat up your boss if you didn't get something that you really wanted really badly because you didn't get approved for a bank loan, for a house or for a car that you wanted to get, you're not gonna go take violence out against these institutions, other people. But when it's a woman who says, I'm rejecting you, I don't want your advances, I don't wanna be married to you anymore for some reason. That's a very specific trigger for some men to make them think, oh, rejection. It's rejection of women that makes people react. Men react in a violent way in some cases.
Wheezy WTF
That's disgusting.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That whole thing has to be nipped in the bud, studied and bring more ideas to society that put men on the right track.
Wheezy WTF
When we talk about the Classes that are given in elementary, middle and high school. And we talk about maybe taxes needing to be a class in certain elements. There needs to be emotional maturity and emotional intelligence as early on in sex education.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
This should be the thing.
Wheezy WTF
They don't even have sex education.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I know.
Wheezy WTF
Like it needs to be to where you remove sex. And it's like how we need to operate as human beings.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah. So we can't rely on the construct to. To develop that because the contract don't give a fuck. What we do have to do is have people from the community that are in position of being teachers, administrators. They have to just add that component to whatever they're doing, whether it be in the weekends, whether it be sometimes after school, during. I think more being more intentional about that because you're not going to get that in the curriculum.
Wheezy WTF
Well, I hope we get to it.
Jason Rodriguez
Unless Dr. Umar.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Scoot.
Jason Rodriguez
Never mind.
Wheezy WTF
Nah, definitely not. Definitely not relying on Dr. Umar.
Jason Rodriguez
Peace to the planet. Charlamagne Tha God here. Now, y' all know I'm big on ownership. Owning your ideas, owning your business, owning your future. And that's exactly why I use Shopify. Shopify is the platform that lets you take an idea and actually build a real business out of it. All right? It gives anyone the tools, the storefront and the control. So you're not building on somebody else's platform or somebody else's algorithm. Okay. It's your own store, your community, your own customers. That relationship is yours to own. All right? What I love is how discoverable it makes everything. Shopify puts products everywhere. People actually shop. Google, YouTube, TikTok, shop the shop app. Even inside ChatGPT, you can literally go from conversation to checkout. That's next level options in our changing world. And right now the Black Effects storefront is busy and Shopify is handling the heavy lifting. I am so excited that Shopify is going to show up at our Black Effect podcast festival this year in a big way. And of course I'll be there preaching this platform and introducing this platform to all our small black owned businesses that partner with us. Shopify is helping drive the marketplace this year at our festival and their footprint and commitment to us and the community of black owned businesses is something I am proud to be a part of. sitting down with Ray Porter, the narrator of Andy Weir's audiobook project Hail Mary Massive Sci fi adventure about survival and science and what happens when you wake up alone, very far from Earth.
Wheezy WTF
I really had to make a decision because I caught myself getting that frog
Aaron A. Kinghouse
in my throat and starting to get teary as I'm narrating some of these
Wheezy WTF
sections and it's like, okay, yo yo
Aaron A. Kinghouse
yo, is this indulgent? And I really thought about it.
Wheezy WTF
I was like, no.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
At this point it would kind of
Jason Rodriguez
be betraying the trust the author and the listener have in telling this story
Aaron A. Kinghouse
if I don't go through it. But there's places in this book that that deeply emotionally affected me and I left it on the mic. That's great because it served the story. People will say like oh my God, I cried at the end.
Wheezy WTF
It's like yeah dude, me too.

Wheezy WTF
This is not a sports podcast. But NBA playoffs have begun. I know you. All right. Yes. Your Knicks won, by the way. Dropped it in the chat, y'. All. Knicks did take game one in New York, however, the New York Knicks fan base is so diabolical. There's a video of them yelling, fuck Trae Young. And Trae Young is on the Wizards. Trae Young isn't even a Hawk anymore, bro.
Jason Rodriguez
Right, but they know that. They're very. No, they very aware. It's just that the fuck whoever goes. Trey Young was a menace. Just like Reggie Miller was a menace. All the people who were just. And remember, it wasn't not so much that he was. Trey Young had words too. He was talking shit.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Trey Young loved it.
Jason Rodriguez
The only reason why the Boston Celtics don't. They'll get it soon. They'll get it soon.
Wheezy WTF
The Boston Celtics will get what?
Jason Rodriguez
All that shit. They'll get what Soon.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
It'll happen.
Wheezy WTF
That's the answer. They'll get what? Soon.
Jason Rodriguez
Whoever want to be. And assume that position. Whether the light skinned boy, the dark skinned one, the white boy.
Wheezy WTF
Wait, wait. You have the Knicks winning the Eastern Conference finals?
Jason Rodriguez
Absolutely.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, God. Y' all are always delusional.
Jason Rodriguez
Who went to the Eastern Conference final?
Wheezy WTF
It'll either be Boston or Detroit. It's not going to be the Knicks.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, by the way, Detroit lost their first game to Orlando.
Wheezy WTF
To Orlando's crazy.
Jason Rodriguez
Did they. Wait, did they really shout out to Poncho?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, they lost to Orlando.
Wheezy WTF
Last 13 points, cuz. Let's be very clear. The Celtics won by like 30. Game one to the Sixers.
Jason Rodriguez
I mean, I kind of. I was like, all right, maybe the Sixers might give him. And I'm like. But then MB didn't. He didn't play? No, he didn't play. I don't know what his status is, but.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, I don't.
Jason Rodriguez
I don't know.
Wheezy WTF
I mean, we never know what MB
Jason Rodriguez
Is day to day. But I just want to say this before I listen, cuz.
Wheezy WTF
You. We got a Hawks fan right now.
Jason Rodriguez
I know we got a Hawks fan. Ladies and gentlemen, Pete. This, though, Pete. The fuck he Know what I'm going to say too, my nigga. You know what I'm gonna say?
Wheezy WTF
What you gonna say?
Jason Rodriguez
You see that on that wall right there?
Wheezy WTF
Yeah, I know. I bought it.
Jason Rodriguez
All right, let's look at the fit.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I'm glad you said the New York.
Jason Rodriguez
Right here.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
He got the polo bucket, right?
Jason Rodriguez
He got the orange and blue with the.
Wheezy WTF
Tim, you didn't even come in here.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Like, that's not gonna.
Jason Rodriguez
That's not gonna be reverse racism. That's not gonna work.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I'm glad you brought this up, because I wore this outfit very purposefully.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, you think that's gonna be, like, a juju? Nah, they don't. Juju.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
There's nothing wrong with a little reverse superstition.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm not wearing no Atlanta Hawks.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And if I need. First off, y' all can't. Like. Polo is the South. Y' all don't get to claim polo. I don't care about Decepticons. None of that.
Wheezy WTF
It's the colors. It's the colors.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, yeah. It's the colors.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, yeah.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah.
Wheezy WTF
No, it's the colors.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I wore this whole thing. It's literally the Knicks colors, the cargo pants, the Timbs, the whole thing.
Jason Rodriguez
You said polo. That's another conversation. Polo's in the South.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah. Polo's. Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
We own young drove. So you said, forget the decision.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Decepticons and the low lives and God bless all of y'. All. Yeah.
Wheezy WTF
Not even gonna hold I. Because I'm a Florida bitch. And I also went to high school in Atlanta. This is so Southern coded.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Preppy style.
Jason Rodriguez
But they were doing that before junk DRO got to it.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah.
Wheezy WTF
No. Who was they? Not New Yorkers. No, y' all weren't. Y' all was doing Pelly. Pelly. Hey, no, no, no, no.
Jason Rodriguez
Mandy, Mandy. I encourage you. There's documentaries about this shit.
Wheezy WTF
Y' all were wearing this in New York.
Jason Rodriguez
They were wearing all of that.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
They were.
Wheezy WTF
Y' all can't wait.
Jason Rodriguez
There were gangs. Sorry, let me not say that. There were organizations created. Social organizations. There were social organizations created around Ralph Lauren.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
No, absolutely. What? A brown urine is not polo. Hold on. I'm telling you.
Jason Rodriguez
Okay, okay. Polo, Ralph Lauren, the whole rl. All that.
Wheezy WTF
There's. There's layers to it. Polo is a Southern.
Jason Rodriguez
You know, you are disrespecting the legacy and the life of Dallas fan.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I know he would be horrified by this whole conversation. Would be very distraught by this conversation. But what I'm telling you is that
Jason Rodriguez
polo and he got the two chains out. I don't understand.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I'm telling you, the south is deeply enriched.
Jason Rodriguez
No, I'm not denying that.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
By Polo, Ralph Lauren and preppy style. I'm just telling you.
Jason Rodriguez
I never saw Andre 3000.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Well, he was serving his own wave.
Wheezy WTF
Yeah, you can't. Andre is his own.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
He was at home.
Wheezy WTF
He's an outlier in general. But we did see it from Ti. We saw it from Titty boy.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm not denying.
Wheezy WTF
We've seen it from Ludacris. Big boy.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm not denying. Hold on. But I'm not denying that. What I'm saying is there's something that predates that.
Wheezy WTF
Hold on.
Jason Rodriguez
Right, but like, bro, how we know that's not Nordica?
Wheezy WTF
Oh, my God.
Jason Rodriguez
With the horse. Look, that's Latigre.
Wheezy WTF
Come on, yomi.
Jason Rodriguez
Yomi. Come on, yomi.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Now it looks the same shit.
Wheezy WTF
Did you call it Latigre? That is Lacalle.
Jason Rodriguez
They had the same. They borrowed the license.
Wheezy WTF
There was a tiger and an alligator. Two different things.
Jason Rodriguez
I need to see a polo emblem.
Wheezy WTF
Look at that.
Jason Rodriguez
That's a polo emblem.
Wheezy WTF
It's so Southern.
Jason Rodriguez
Okay, first of all. First of all, that's Boy II Men. That's Philadelphia. That's New York. Might as well.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Mm. Yeah, Polo.
Jason Rodriguez
But, Jeremy, what I would implore you. Just put Decepticons. Put Low rise, and then you're gonna see the whole shit.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, no, I'm not denying that New York doesn't have a culture that Ralph Lauren is involved.
Jason Rodriguez
Predates.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Predates. I don't know.
Wheezy WTF
Pre dates.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That's the part I'm not sure.
Jason Rodriguez
Dershahal is older than all these niggas, and he was doing that shit since he was born.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I mean, niggas in Atlanta didn't just get born in the 80s, right?
Wheezy WTF
Come on.
Jason Rodriguez
No, not the set. The. No, not the Transformers. Just put Polo or Low life. Low lifes.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Low life's. Low Life's a.
Jason Rodriguez
Probably L, O, L, O. No W.
Wheezy WTF
Not low life.
Jason Rodriguez
L, I, F, E. Put the L and sound me on me. There we go.
Wheezy WTF
Look at that.
Jason Rodriguez
On the fourth, fifth picture. Second picture. That's Thurston Holler.
Wheezy WTF
Third.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, Mayor. Shout out to mayor.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, that was it.
Wheezy WTF
Okay.
Jason Rodriguez
Wow, this is tough.
Wheezy WTF
Wow, he's nuts.
Jason Rodriguez
We'll discard that for now. We'll hold that. But what's the significance of you wearing the New York Knicks colors?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, there's nothing wrong with a little reverse superstition.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, that's what you like, Reverse superstition.
Jason Rodriguez
Got you, got you. Gotcha.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I will engage you in your culture.
Jason Rodriguez
I don't know.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I will engage you in your culture.
Jason Rodriguez
Knicks in five
Aaron A. Kinghouse
when the Hawks win the series. I want to see you in a franchise, boy. White tee and some Feliz with a Braves hat real quick.
Wheezy WTF
Hold on, hold on. I like this.
Jason Rodriguez
Where could I buy Feliz?
Wheezy WTF
Hold on. If Nicks lose, what he gotta come in here with. And if Nick's win, what he gotta come in with?
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah. I need a white tee to your ankles.
Jason Rodriguez
That's insanity.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I need a pair of felines.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm gonna look like Joel Santana.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yes. I need a Braves hat. I need. What else do I need? I need a couple. Oh, I need some Eddie goals. I need you to go down to Eddie. Go. I need you to go get.
Wheezy WTF
Just go.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But the flea market grill is going to turn your teeth green. Like I need.
Jason Rodriguez
I can't go to Scotty atl. I can't go. I can't go to Scotty ATL and get some.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
No, I don't.
Wheezy WTF
Scotty. We going to Scotty. He got a little coin.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
We going to Scotty.
Wheezy WTF
Whoa, a little coin is good.
Jason Rodriguez
I know, but.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, don't. He said, I'm getting it for free from Scotty. Okay, my bad. I forgot you of the culture.
Jason Rodriguez
What I got. What about the feats Feliz. Oh, damn. We're gonna get a piss.
Wheezy WTF
Or soldier Reese.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Or soldier Reese.
Wheezy WTF
Nigga, Soldier Reeboks. But yeah, Reeboks with the. With the strap.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
That might be more obtainable than the feli. No shots.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, I'm not gonna lie. I was just somewhere. Oh, we were walking into the Boys for Life concert.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I was gonna say in Greensboro. It was definitely.
Wheezy WTF
They were dressed and one of the girls was like, yeah, I was looking for K Swiss. I said, baby, I don't think K Swiss.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That might even be better. Get you some K Swiss. Yeah, get you some K Swiss. Oh, I like how this is going. Yeah, we gonna get you right.
Wheezy WTF
We gonna get you right now.
Jason Rodriguez
You my friend.
Wheezy WTF
What does he gotta do you.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm just gonna pick a rapper. You gotta dress like Buckshot shorty.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, shit.
Jason Rodriguez
In. I got your open video.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, my God.
Jason Rodriguez
But here's the port with the Jansport book bag.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But here's the thing about it, though. I make New York shit look good. Oh, oh. Like I could come to your turf, you know what? And put on that.
Jason Rodriguez
That's valid.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
And walk through and niggas would be like, oh, he's McQueen.
Jason Rodriguez
But that's because he have a good hip hop sensibility.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I don't understand what's going on.
Jason Rodriguez
Cause Mandy, this fit honestly with the.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I could get right on the one Trainer was giving.
Jason Rodriguez
It's a 32 year anniversary of Illmatic, right? One of my favorite K pop albums. So you kind of gave me a little Queensbridge. You know what I mean.
Wheezy WTF
Oh, I'm not gonna lie. The hat is giving. Fishing. So I thought he was telling the Knicks they were gonna go fishing. I thought he was telling the Knicks.
Jason Rodriguez
You can't cool with riches right here, boy.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Off the cancel with you.
Wheezy WTF
You feel me? It's.
Jason Rodriguez
You don't believe that Mandy is shooketh. That the Knicks will meet the Boston Celtics in the second round.
Wheezy WTF
I lived in New York for 13 years. The Knicks never have me Shooketh. Babe, Babe.
Jason Rodriguez
So last year. Last year when we beat them, what happened?
Wheezy WTF
You was okay, I got to sit there and be the shoulder for nitty and Knicks.
Jason Rodriguez
Last year, what happened?
Wheezy WTF
Are you talking about the December. The December trophy they won?
Jason Rodriguez
No, I said last. The playoff. Last year when the Knicks beat them in the.
Wheezy WTF
Bro, their leading player tore his fucking acl.
Jason Rodriguez
He still got to play the game, okay?
Wheezy WTF
And he's back. And what happened the year before? They won. Like, bro, let's.
Jason Rodriguez
They won. But we didn't have two.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
You don't have two players on your team as good as Jason Tatum and Jalen Brown.
Jason Rodriguez
You don't have a team, though. Okay, we have a team.
Wheezy WTF
They're just now becoming friends, too.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Who?
Wheezy WTF
Yeah.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
First of all, they don't finally, in
Wheezy WTF
a group chat together,
Jason Rodriguez
they're performing. They. They know they performing.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Oh, okay.
Wheezy WTF
Okay.
Jason Rodriguez
You see that behind the back pass? And everybody was down there, caught at each other. Oh, and then they try to draw. He draw the defense. He passed it back and. And you said OG wasn't going to be present. 18.6 rebound in that behind.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Okay, we'll see.
Wheezy WTF
All right. All right.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
We'll see.
Wheezy WTF
Hey, King, you bringing up a whole play.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
I got a hot take.
Jason Rodriguez
I got one hot take about the playoffs. One hot take. The Lakers gonna go further than we all expect them to.
Wheezy WTF
Didn't they already lose?
Jason Rodriguez
No, they won their first game.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
They won.
Wheezy WTF
They won that first game.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
The thing with the Lakers is they
Jason Rodriguez
beat the Y N's they had.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
But that's. But what's crazy about it is the Lakers might go further because they have white boys who can pull.
Jason Rodriguez
They got white YNs.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
They got white Y N's. They got white YNs, and they white YNs is. Is no joke.
Jason Rodriguez
And LeBron finally embraced.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
Yeah, he cut the hair off, came on home. And it worked. He came on home. Came on home.
Jason Rodriguez
I think the lakes are gonna go further than.
Wheezy WTF
We need Jalen to do it next instead of wiping off on everyone's jerseys. Like, bro, I'm so.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm shocked. He's doing that.
Aaron A. Kinghouse
That's kind of crazy.

They recount Mandy's bucket list Pretty Ricky lap dance, deep-dive into the Live Nation/Ticketmaster lawsuit and its effects on concert-goers, call out Lil Wayne’s grievances with the music industry, and wade into hot-button political and societal debates, including murder-suicides, femicide, and the responsibilities of men and boys in today’s America. Sports talk and a playful North/South fashion beef close out the jam-packed episode.
