Yeah, so. So Live Nation and Live Nation and Ticketmaster were sued by the federal government, by the Department of Justice, for monopoly antitrust laws violations. And, you know, for a long time, Ticketmaster has been under fire. Back in the 90s, the rock group Pearl Jam took issue with Ticketmaster. There was controversy during the Obama administration because the Obama administration was actually the people who allowed Ticketmaster and Live Nation to merge in this kind of way. When they merged, they gave them permission to merge with stipulations that they were supposed to follow through on that. Obviously, they didn't follow through on as far as pricing and all that kind of thing. So they were sued. And really, this thing started, ironically, with Taylor Swift fans.

So now regular people got to sit on a jury and hear the case. And not only did they hear the case, they heard the messages that the Live Nation and Ticketmaster employees were sharing internally about, oh, yeah, we robbing them blind. And venue promoters talking about how much they're gonna charge for parking and all this crazy stuff. Basically just taking advantage of people.

And so to have a conversation with a family member of mine and her lean into the same thing that Tina Campbell did is interesting because we. We have family members that are not citizens, and we see people are literally that aren't citizens being stripped and being sent to wherever the fuck. And in terms of these Christian values, it's love thy neighbor. It's, you know, not to lead with hatred. And this person not only visibly led with hatred and homophobia and transphobia and racism, this same candidate also was just said last year, like, well, I ain't going to heaven. Like, his real beliefs, the fact that there's so many Christians saying, well, I voted based on faith. There's nothing that this man has done that has even shown you that he is a righteous leader.

Now I will say he a Democrat. Where we're at currently as a society is scary. So last week we spoke about all of the women that were either murdered or wrong place, wrong time.

There's. They're calling it like a femicide that's happening right now. I do want to say that this isn't just men. We are gonna talk about two certain stories that have gotten global news. But there's another one that just happened yesterday where a woman in London ran over another woman in front of the club and allegedly it was over them dealing with the same guy. Ran her over, Ran her over. And they are now saying rip. So I do believe the girl that got ran over passed away in the hospital. People are fucking losing it. We'll get into it. I know. Ja. You put the Justin Fairfax situation in the. That was earlier into the week. And then just this weekend, there's been news of a Louisiana father who killed eight children, ages 1 through 14. Seven of them were his. One child was not his. He did also shoot two grown women,

one of whom was his wife.

One was his wife. And they have survived their wounds. But I want us to talk about it. What's with the Justin Fairfax situation? Talk to me.

[Aaron A. Kinghouse]

Justin Fairfax was the former lieutenant governor of Virginia and he murdered his wife and murdered himself and. Or committed suicide, took his own life. And outside of like the shock and the horror of the actual crime, the reaction online to people who knew Justin Fairfax, people like Roland Martin, people who were prominent Figures. People who were his fraternity brothers posting pictures with him, smiling, hanging out, eulogizing him, memorializing him, mourning his death, saying a lot of how their relationships were and how sad they are that this happened and all these things. And Roland Martin in particular got a lot of backlight. He probably still getting cooked on threads and Twitter and Instagram and everywhere in between for his post that basically talked all about Justin Fairfax and barely mentioned the fact that the wife was killed.

Well, not only that, I wanna take a step back, because these are friends who are looking at him from whatever personal relationship they have. Right. Over the last couple months, family and friends have also said that he became a raging alcoholic and deadbeat father after not only his professional life unraveled, but so did his marriage. And this is the part that gets scary, right? Apparently, he stole money that was meant for his kids to buy the gun that he used in this murder. Suicide. Damn. And this all came as well, following her wanting to file for divorce.

So it was like, you wanna leave me? My career's over. Life is over. I'm taking everybody with me.

Which is essentially exactly what happened in the Shreveport shooting case. The man's wife told him, I want a divorce, and they had some type of argument, and he just couldn't take it. And this is the route that he decided to go.

And this is where it gets scary. I know. Last week, the bonus episode has a lot of people emotional.

About women leaving with strange men. And what's crazy is the fear that we should also be having with the men that we're laying down with every night when we think about these crimes, right? Even the other two crimes that happened last week, there were two women that were killed who were pregnant and killed by the people they were pregnant by. There's one here. Both of them happened here in Georgia, too. One woman was a mother of two currently pregnant. Her family believes she was targeted by the man she was pregnant by. And then the Detroit rapper who got killed in her driveway was pregnant by a married man.

Yep.

And so when we talk about being in fear of just these strangers, I'm curious what we're doing as friends and family when we see that these women in our lives are literally in dangerous situations with the men that they know.

And that's the.

Like, it's Almost a catch 22. Like, what are we talking about? Like, we are just as in danger with men that we know than a stranger.

So when I first wrote about the Justin Fairfax thing, I wanted to look up the stats just to see, like, what is the number of women who are actually killed by their intimate partners? And so the Bureau of Justice and Statistics, this is a.gov website, so this is a government agency that takes in these statistics. And there was a 2021 survey that they did that shows that 35% of women who were killed were killed by intimate partners. 35%.

Think about that. A thousand. If you go by a thousand, there's 350 people killed by their partners out

of killed by their partners.

It's so sad. It's so sad. Not to, like, state the obvious here, but I really do think. And it's something that we need to be. That we need to encourage more and shout out to Charlamagne, because the way we have platformed men getting into therapy, that's what needs to happen. And there's so much men that are against it. Right. We have to continue to encourage it because a lot of these men that are doing this, they're mentally unstable and they're reaching breaks where they don't. They don't have an outlet to work through these things with licensed professionals. And we have to encourage men at younger ages. Men in your 20s, start seeking therapy. Start working through your mommy troubles, your daddy issues. Like, start working through that. Start working over why you keep making these broken homes with women. Start working through what it looks like for you to live a life that. That you're happy of, but to sit here and be so miserable that you take the lives of children and women that you vow to love. It's crazy.

I was looking. I don't think I saved it. I think I liked. I won't look for it now, but I was trying to look up this video I saw over the weekend. I wish I knew the platform, but it was a brother. He had a bunch of male boys, black men, black kids, and they had a woman in front of the classroom, and he's telling them they was having scenarios. And he basically was like, hey, you know, trying to get the woman to agree to giving him a hug, Right? But she was kind of resistant. And he was teaching them, like, what to look for. When a woman says no, what does that look like? And what your response should be? And they would do a call and response. Is this right? And I thought that was so dope. And I'm like, yo, whoever that is, I would love to. We should participate.

It looks like he just posted this. Dr. J. Barnett, he just, he said, brothers, we got a problem.

And he's highlighting all of this shit. So I don't know, man, I don't know what the. You know, it was a tragedy of shooting in Queens, New York over the weekend or I think it might have happened Friday. This is all so Sad where a 15 year. They was on a basketball court and it looks like, you know, he was being attacked or whatever and the dude smacked him and he went to go smack him again, but he had the gun in his hand and he went to gun butt him, but the shot went off and the kid died. So they went on a lookout for the suspect. He offed himself 404 day and he's

a 16 year old girl got killed.

All teenagers, but by teenagers.

Now think about the dramas. They did this. The young kid gets shot, killed amongst other teens. They should not be experiencing this shit right now at all. But let alone 15, 14 to 19 years old. Insanity.

The other part I want to add on to everything that we're talking about

right now is yeah, Tiana Robinson, by the way, that was the not even woman. The little girl. The girl that was killed during four day at Piedmont Park. They just laid her to rest this week.

The other part I want to put on this. In addition to having brothers like King Randall, you know, teaching kids to be younger, going to therapy, promoting therapy, making sure you get right. The other part of that is, men have to learn how to take the L. Ooh, ooh. You have to learn how this life is not going to be nice to you, and sometimes you're going to take an L. And you have to learn how to take that lift. You have to take your ego out of it. You have to take whatever your. Even if you have an initial reaction of anger, something makes you angry. You have to learn to control yourself, control your emotions, and don't lead with these things that are going to harm yourself, harm other people.

But a lot of these are.

What is the fear that women have? Right? Of course, when we talk about giving people our number that we're not even interested in, it's because we have learned that men have not grappled with receiving rejection. And so when it comes that rejection is what men need to learn how to deal with. Because even this, it's women that finally wanna leave you. It's women that are fed up and wanna be free. Even in terms of the Justin Fairfax situation, her best friend just came out and said they were celebrating her 49th birthday and she said, I finally get to be free. And now she's not here with us anymore. As men who don't show up as the best partners or fathers or whatever, there has to be a way that you get through and receive that you weren't good enough for this person to stay, and you have to be able to let them walk away.

And a specific type of rejection, right? Because we're not just talking like, if you didn't get a job, you're not gonna go up to that office and beat up the hiring manager. You're not gonna go kill the hiring. If you didn't get a promotion at your job, you're not gonna go beat up your boss if you didn't get something that you really wanted really badly because you didn't get approved for a bank loan, for a house or for a car that you wanted to get, you're not gonna go take violence out against these institutions, other people. But when it's a woman who says, I'm rejecting you, I don't want your advances, I don't wanna be married to you anymore for some reason. That's a very specific trigger for some men to make them think, oh, rejection. It's rejection of women that makes people react. Men react in a violent way in some cases.

That whole thing has to be nipped in the bud, studied and bring more ideas to society that put men on the right track.

When we talk about the Classes that are given in elementary, middle and high school. And we talk about maybe taxes needing to be a class in certain elements. There needs to be emotional maturity and emotional intelligence as early on in sex education.

They have to just add that component to whatever they're doing, whether it be in the weekends, whether it be sometimes after school, during. I think more being more intentional about that because you're not going to get that in the curriculum.
