The Supreme Court has demolished the Voting Rights Acts. However, what no one is talking about is the SAVE act, which has actually also made it harder for certain women to vote. So we are talking about us losing our voting rights as far as black people and women. Then, of course, we have a response to where we are in terms of a socioeconomic standpoint in this country. And then maybe if we get into it. Did you know that Atlanta is the most surveilled city in the country? What does that mean? We're getting into it? But now it's time for us to take control of the conversation, to take control of our sexual health, learn the facts, ask questions, and advocate for ourselves. That's how we start changing the story.

It wasn't like the box was even. One time, I remember Dallas would say, Dallas Penn would say, we're gonna stage for our promo. We were gonna stage a protest outside of Hot 97 because we were tired, just like millions of people of what they were contributing to the culture at the time. Right. We was gonna use that for fucking content. We didn't do it. But it took a minute before we developed the thing that we now know today as podcasting. You know, so as we assume.

We were participating in activity, which is podcasting. But we did not get any inspiration from anybody. We didn't know that that was even a thing.

So look, we had a year that we would develop in this relationship, right? So me being. I was the program director of a very dope establishment at the time. A startup called PNC Radio. Internet online radio.

That was the first.

That was kind of the first, you know, blueprint to what this is without knowing, right? So at that time, Starr, starring Buck Wild Star, he was doing Vlad tv. And we had established all these relationships. And I think I met one of his co hosts, well, former co hosts at the time, DX21. And I was like, what's Starr doing? And then, you know, we had a meeting, he came up and I'm like, yo, I want to potentially talk about bringing you on as a talent at PNC Radio, right? Remember Combat Dallas? We were still formulating a relationship because we couldn't do the show cause we had no money, right? So we was trying to bring on Star, right, the pnc. And Combat was doing the legal work, right?

That's what he did.

It didn't work out, right, but we maintained a relationship. But then one summer, we say, yo, you know what? We gonna do this event called a Bring youg Own Blogger Barbecue, right?

[Ebro Darden]

Yeah.

[A King]

Crazy. We had. Listen, listen. And this is fact. This is. This segment of this fucking selective ignorance show is called these Are the Facts. So we did this. We did this show called. We did this event called the Bring your Own Blogger Barbecue. You know, bring your own BYOB barbecue, but Bring youg Own Blogger, where we were highlighting and celebrating all the niggas in blogosphere that was popping. So for the first time, we had miss Info. Nah, right? Low key. Karen Civil. Anybody who was doing anything on these fucking Internets, we had them in one space. A free, free joint, 600 people. It was amazing.

It bothered me because a, it takes away the autonomy of women that are naturally choosing to be this way. There are women as myself who I've vouched in power of choosing to be either sexually promiscuous or to engage with men in which you benefit in other ways outside of a romantic relationship. And so whether that be sex work, whether that be going after men who can pay your bills or get you on a nice vacation that otherwise you wouldn't have been able to afford. There are women who do seek out high earning, high profile men. And to me there is a world where if you are looking specifically to be with those type of men, those men are also being preyed upon. Can those men also be monsters? Yes. Can those men abuse their power? Can people in that position use their power? Let's go there because we about to bring up the Morgan Chase exec.

To me this idea, which also let's be very clear, we just had a conversation too about someone else in a power dynamic that just immediately made a woman a victim. If women within the lane and realm of patriarchy are leaning towards high earning powerful men, that can provide and protect and do these things. It's not right where we're actually caring about the safety of women to conflate where women who are seeking those men also immediately become victim because of the power dynamics when things don't work out in their favor. It's a weaponization of sex. It's a weaponization of. If we are in a sexual revolution of women having autonomy, women being able to choose the men that they sleep with, women going after certain men because of whatever social or financial benefits that they may get out of this relationship to when it doesn't go their way, we as a society automatically view them as the victims and the man as the predator. Now. Yes. Has Bill Clinton had other things said about him? Yes. If we're not gonna do it for Meg being a liar and a cheater, let's not umbrella the thing for everyone else.
