This is wheezy WTF from Decisions decisions, ladies. Let's talk about taking control of our sexual health. That's grown woman energy. You may think HIV affects someone else somewhere else, but the truth is it's impacting our community and some of us are being hit harder than others. Black women make up just 13% of the women in the US yet account for nearly half of new HIV diagnoses amongst women. Taking care of ourselves is community care. Know your options, ask questions and protect your peace and your body. That's using your power. Sponsored by Care for the Culture from Gilead Sciences Peace of mind starts with

That's right, Dr. Cheyenne Bryant. Why the fuck you lying? Has been under fire for the lack of credentials being able to be shown for her degrees.
The Hater
Wait a minute.
Mandy B
She did let us know that she only has to answer to God and said, f the haters. Who are you? Amongst more, we have our thoughts on all of the things with the doctor title and more. Then up next, we have the Swatch and AP collaboration, which has the people screaming elitism. I also did not know that the kids were standing in line again for things like a pocket watch.
The Hater
Yep.
Mandy B
Yeah. No, it's kind of crazy. Then, of course, y'. All. Hanna virus. Hansavirus. Hansavirus. How you say it? Hannah Montana.
The Hater
Hannah Montana.
Aaron A. King
Hannah Montana. Hannah Montana.
Mandy B
Another virus that will not be putting us in the house, but we will talk about what it means and also the fact that there is new studies showing that this is something that. That can live in semen for up to six years. That's right. And then in celebrities say the darnest things. We're getting into the Kevin Hart roast, and then we are talking about him.
The Hater
Embarrassing.
Mandy B
That's right. Drake dropped three albums this Friday and we are getting into it with our album reviews now, y'. All. Per usual, I am joined by my super producer, Yang.
Aaron A. King
Gang, gang, gang, gang.
Mandy B
Listen, we got Journalism Jason in the building.
Aaron A. King
Yeah, fresh off. Fresh off the day job.
Mandy B
He's in his New York building. He's at Hot 97. You look great over there, by the way.
Aaron A. King
I appreciate it. Thank you. The lighting is literally right here over my head. This the DJ booth. So sometimes after our show, I'll come back here and I do a little mix show, set myself a bit little practice. That was my. That was my pandemic hobby. My pandemic hobby. I learned how to dj.
Mandy B
Oh, my God. And then, of course, I got OG Pod, legend, a king next to me.
Jason Rodriguez
Hey, man, I'm here, man. Just nothing but gratitude.
The Hater
Nothing but gratitude, man.
Mandy B
I'm here.
Jason Rodriguez
We here for another week. Shout out to everybody.
Mandy B
Yes. Come on Saturday on what with. With the Saturday on the head.
Jason Rodriguez
Shout out to my guy Bill.
Mandy B
I see you with the bucket.
Jason Rodriguez
I see you with the bucket. Sometimes it pop out.
Mandy B
You actually are dressed in. In the perfect attire for what I was just doing this week in Florida, but we'll talk about it. And then I got king of headlines himself, hater of the nation.
The Hater
Hey, tour du jour Pop blessing all the yap niggas. What up, what up, what up, what up, what up? Today is going to be a fantastic. You know what I'm saying? I'm dressed for it. What better way to keep yourself insulated from the iceman than a nice Kendrick Lamar.
Mandy B
I knew it was a nice G
The Hater
and X Gloria hoodie. Warm in these cold in these frigid hours for the Iceman, you know what I'm saying?
Mandy B
I hate this and I hate this.
Jason Rodriguez
I had a revelation this weekend too.
The Hater
It's gonna be fantastic. It's gonna be a fantastic pod. So excited to be here, Mandy. Rethinking the friendship.
Mandy B
Jason, do you see how ready he is?
Jason Rodriguez
So excited.
Aaron A. King
I see, I see.
The Hater
So excited to be here with all
Jason Rodriguez
of y. I just want to say
Aaron A. King
too,
Jason Rodriguez
Jason, close your ears here. And you too. When this episode come out, the Knicks will be playing the Eastern Conference finals.
The Hater
This is going to be the most fantastic let down, you know what I'm saying? Sadness.
Mandy B
Oh, wait, wait, wait, wait. You think Cleveland about to get the Knicks up out of here?
The Hater
Even if the Knicks go to the finals, this can only end one way.
Jason Rodriguez
We heard this two rounds ago. But I'm not saying that this is
The Hater
only in one way. In six sadness and disappointment.
Jason Rodriguez
We eight games away, y' all are
The Hater
the Dallas Cowboys of the NBA.
Jason Rodriguez
No, we're not.
The Hater
Okay.
Mandy B
Jason, are you happy that the Knicks are going to the Eastern Conference finals?
Jason Rodriguez
Ye Philly fans.
Aaron A. King
I mean, for the purposes of my day job, I'm very happy about it because it makes my host very happy about it.
The Hater
It's a business decision, not the sports coach.
Aaron A. King
Round two was. That was a hard like. Oh, man. Early mornings coming in and hearing them.
Jason Rodriguez
Damn, they got rid of your DM too.
The Hater
Yeah, sure did.
Jason Rodriguez
Darren Morris got up out of here.
The Hater
He deserves it, though.
Jason Rodriguez
Nah, he does, he does.
The Hater
He's a clown.
Aaron A. King
Yeah, like enough damn clown.
Mandy B
Clown is crazy.
Aaron A. King
When I tell you like, you know, like you get to the end of the road sometimes and it's not there and you gotta part ways.
The Hater
I view it that way, amicable split.
Mandy B
Oh, my God.
The Hater
Fair enough.
Mandy B
Before we get into all the mess, I do want to shout out to Gilead, Drew Cares and Black Market Flea. I was out there last weekend with Weezy, where I was really happy to be a part of, like, a mission, basically. We encourage people to get tested on the spot. Bitch, I'm negative ho.
The Hater
That should be the shirt right there. Bitch, I'm negative ho. Bit negative ho.
Mandy B
Yeah, you know, got my little finger prick. That was cool. And then I actually ended up coming back from la. Mother's Day was Sunday, but I ended up going to Florida on Tuesday and ended up in Daytona. Ain't been to Daytona in a minute, hon. And ended up going fishing. I did not realize that fishing was such a Floridian thing to do. I posted that I was going fishing, and I kept calling me while I was on the boat.
The Hater
I'm like, bro, I'm off. Catch a bass, period.
Mandy B
And I was like, yo, I'm fishing. And was like, wait, like, real fishing? Like, yes, bitch, I'm on a boat. Ho. And, yeah, I caught three fish. Apparently, catfish don't really count.
The Hater
Count to me.
Mandy B
It counted to me. Maybe not to him, but I caught. I did catfish.
Jason Rodriguez
He's fuddy duddy.
Mandy B
Fuddy duddy is crazy.
The Hater
That's funny.
Jason Rodriguez
Duddy fish.
Mandy B
Nah, I caught a catfish. I caught a jackfish, and I don't like a jackfish. And I think a little baby bass. I caught three fish, though.
The Hater
All right, that's solid.
Mandy B
No, no, no. It was. It wasn't a bad.
Jason Rodriguez
They said the catfish is the pork of the sea because it eats everything in the bottom.
Mandy B
Yeah, well.
The Hater
And it's delicious when it has seasoned on that motherfucker, baby.
Mandy B
Give me that mustard.
The Hater
Yeah, yeah. Breathy loop.
Mandy B
Fry the little fish fry, baby. Don't worry, we in it.
Jason Rodriguez
It's gonna be the next part of her evolution soon.
Mandy B
Now, I did wanna ask y', all, though, because it was something that, you know, me and my mom, mental health. We were having a lot of it. In terms of conversation.
Jason Rodriguez
Yes. Yes.
Mandy B
And it's really interesting because I was telling her what her homework needed to be with her therapist.
The Hater
Okay.
Mandy B
In her 50s, she couldn't answer two questions. And so I want to start the pod by asking y' all these questions, okay? So I asked her what fears she has, because I think that that needs to be attacked before anything else, because that's where your anxiety comes from. That's where depression can come from. That's where all of that. So if I could Ask y' all a. Do you know what your fears are? And then the second thing is, name me two things that make you happy that you can do that brings you joy, that you could do literally by yourself. That maybe doesn't include drinking or drugs or any of that thing.
The Hater
An activity.
Mandy B
Yeah. No vices, but just, do you know what makes you happy? So let me start with the fears and then go to what makes you happy. Do you know a king? The answer to those?
Jason Rodriguez
What makes me happy? Creating. Okay, you know, and just peace. Like, just finding what brings the peace. What brings the peace. It could. Reading a book, just being away from chaos.
Mandy B
Okay. And do you know what fears you live in?
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, tragedy.
Mandy B
Okay. You wake up in fear. A tragedy happens.
Jason Rodriguez
No, I mean a general fear. Wake up. Like. Well, nowadays, that's probably amplified.
Mandy B
Shit.
Jason Rodriguez
You wake up, you wake up, and you, like. You open your phone like, is everything all right outside? But I guess, you know, stuff like that, like, you know, just. Yeah, it's like.
Mandy B
So I'm gonna. I'm gonna start to the world ending, like, you know, See, I don't even think about that too much. So I had to give her my answer to also help her find hers. So when I first started therapy, I had three fears that I lived in. One was getting back fat.
The Hater
Okay.
Mandy B
Honestly. The other one is financial. When I got. I'm in fear of always just losing all my money. And then the other one was having to work again for someone else. Like, all of this that I created, failing. So I constantly was going after more jobs. I was constantly checking the scale, checking my weight. My fear is going back to being 230 again after losing 80 pounds and going through the Gastric. And then my other fear is just financial fear, like, getting to a place where I don't have enough to cover my bills and things like that. Cause I've had to decide between, like, toilet paper and food. I've been to where, you know, before the ATMs allowed you to take $10 out and you could only take 20. I didn't have the 20 to take out. Like, I've been there. So when I first started therapy, I was like, how do I get out of, you know, existing like this?
The Hater
Sure.
Mandy B
And so I got past that. And so the two things that I really enjoy. One is live music and live bands. It literally, I could just be looking at it. Yomi came with me to see Robert Glasper, and I was just there, and I float. I love live music. I'm actually going tonight to see Eric Bellinger.
Jason Rodriguez
Is he at Taiwan City Winery?
Mandy B
He's at City Winery.
The Hater
Oh, City Winery. Okay, okay, true.
Mandy B
And then the other thing that makes me happy, which is actually now changing because flights would be traveling. Man, I love my toes in the sand and traveling. So those are the two things that I know by myself, with nobody else I can do. And it brings joy to my life. Okay, those are good, Josh.
The Hater
I think my biggest fear is. I guess it's a. I think it's a half and half, two parter. One of it is like not meeting my own expectations. And the other half of that is the imposter syndrome of, like having been in this space for 15 years. Like, I feel like I've done a lot of shit and I feel like I'm pretty good at what I do. But I also was just like, damn, am I supposed to actually be here amongst all my peers? Am I actually supposed to know these people? Am I actually supposed to be in these rooms having these conversations? Like, am I supposed to be doing this? Am I doing it the right way? Am I just figuring it out? You know, at some point you tell yourself, well, everyone's just figuring it out. Everyone is trying to just do their best. And like, not everybody has all the answers. But for me, that's like a thing in my head of like, you gotta get over that hump. Of like, no, nigga, like, you've been doing this for a long time. People believe in you, so you should believe in yourself. So I think for me, that's part of a internal struggle that goes on.
Mandy B
And what do you do to make you happy?
The Hater
What I do to a. I'm with you. Live music. I think live music to me is like church. Like there is rejuvenation.
Mandy B
You know what's crazy? When I used to go to church, I used to get there when the pastor started talking. I did not like. Was it praise and worship?
The Hater
Praise and worship?
Mandy B
I did not like that part.
The Hater
So for me, I'm not actually. When I think about it, church is the first place where I learned that I like live music without even knowing. Cause I remember being a little kid and being in church and the choir is singing. They might be singing. Whatever the song is, it isn't even about the words. It's like the frequency of sound. When there's a good ass choir that's singing and you get goosebumps because they just hit some note or did some harmony, it's like, oh, shit, what the fuck is that? What am I feeling? As a kid, I didn't Know what that was? Until I got older, started loving music. And then you go to concerts and you get that feeling again. Like, I went to Schoolboy Q show. This is two years ago now, I think, when Blue Lips came out. And we're still in the midst of like post beef kind of thing. But the DJs playing records to warm the crowd up. And he played Euphoria and there's a whole crowd of 2,000 people singing this word for word for like six and a half minutes. And it's like, oh, there's. There's power in that. You go see a song that everybody know, dg, Yola ain't gonna let up. When this song comes on and this whole place is singing this song and everybody feels it, it's like, that's an amazing feeling. So live music is definitely one of them. I think the other thing that makes me happy is like food, a good meal.
Mandy B
Oh, wait, bitch. Why did I forget that?
The Hater
A really, really good meal, even on a fucked up date, it's not even
Mandy B
a good meal as much as like, it's so funny. Cause my boyfriend made fun of me. Cause I really wanted crab claws one night and he didn't want to go and I started crying cause I wanted crab. I'm a brat too, but. But sushi, like, makes my heart sing. It's also because I'm Japanese.
The Hater
Watashi wasta too.
Mandy B
I am Japanese Down. And then, Jason, I can't leave without asking you the same thing. Do you know your fears and what makes you happy? And then we're going to get into all the mess.
Aaron A. King
Yeah, I like this topic. It gives people get a chance to know us.
The Hater
This is a good personality.
Mandy B
I was deep with my mom.
The Hater
No, yeah, I can tell.
Aaron A. King
And she didn't know these guys at
Mandy B
50, so I was like, I wonder. And also the people listening. I would love for you to write down how you live in fear and what makes you happy.
The Hater
Please share that.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm here to hear that.
Mandy B
Thank you.
Aaron A. King
They got to at you. They got to at you. So we could read them.
Mandy B
Like, I would love to know, but
Aaron A. King
Jason, what's your fear?
Mandy B
What makes you happy?
Aaron A. King
My fear, it's all like family related. Like, you know, like, what kind of man will I be when my father passes? You know what I mean? Like, they kind of say, like, you're not really a man until, like you lose your father or your mother. And kind of just seeing, like how I'll relate to my family then. And then the other one is just, you know, not wanting to Fail my daughter.
Jason Rodriguez
Right.
Aaron A. King
Like, I feel like, I don't know, my career has been good. I feel like I've had a good career, so it's like, I don't worry about that. I love my family. So I feel like my kind of, like, waking thought and my closing thought when I go to sleep is always about my daughter. So my fear is, like, you know, just really not being able to, you know, just not failing her.
The Hater
Right?
Aaron A. King
Like, whatever it is she needs or just, like, the attention or the love, the care, and just, you know, not like, you know, not being in a position where I'm, like, ignoring the moments that, to me, I don't want it to seem like, oh, it's just Tuesday. But it's, like, foundational for her and, like, missing those moments. So, like, that's, like, my biggest fear is that I'm, like, out of sync with her and end up failing her.
Mandy B
Oh, and then what makes you happy?
Aaron A. King
What makes me happy? I mean, obviously, like, my career is dedicated to hip hop, so I love Fridays. I love Fridays and new music. And then other than that, like, Mondays, I play softball. Like some old man Puerto Rican shit. I play softball. Nobody asks me what I do for a living. Nobody asked me what I'm listening to. Nobody asked me, like, where I'm going out. It's just jump on the field and get busy. So the thing that makes me happy is softball.
Mandy B
Oh, I love it.
The Hater
I never would have guessed that.
Mandy B
I'm not gonna lie. Me neither.
The Hater
I fuck with that. Me neither.
Aaron A. King
Look, nah, I'm like. I'm like, super, super all over the city.
Mandy B
Kika brought out his 1943, his Edmund Pettus Bridge bat.
Jason Rodriguez
This bat served many purposes.
The Hater
Joe Clark bat.
Mandy B
I'm weak.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm a baseball head, too.
Mandy B
I'm weak.
Wheezy
This is Weezy. Wtf? From Decisions, decisions. You know, a lot of us grew up not fully trusting the health care system. And honestly, the system has given us plenty of reasons to feel that way. But now it's time for us to take control of the conversation, to take control of our sexual health, learn the facts, ask questions, and advocate for ourselves. That's how we start changing the story. So let's talk. We like to think HIV is something that affects other people, but it is hitting our own community hard. Black women make up about 13% of women in the US but account for nearly half of all new HIV diagnoses around women. And being proactive doesn't mean you just don't trust your partner. It just means you trust yourself enough to stay in control. So know your options, ask questions and protect your peace and your body. That's real power. Because protecting yourself isn't embarrassing, it's responsible. Sex is normal. Protecting yourself should be normal too. Actually, it's kind of badass. Taking control of your sexual health is grown woman energy sponsored by Care for the Culture from Gilead Sciences.

Mandy B
well, Jason, let's get into this is America. Do you want to introduce this first topic while I put on my cap?
Aaron A. King
Oh man. Dr. Cheyenne Bryant's been under fire for her degrees. If you haven't been checking it out, I don't know what your social media feed looks like. But you know, she's been on Club Shay Shay. She's been on with Cam Newton. She does her kind of public therap sessions. But now people are questioning her degree and her expertise. And yeah, she, she obviously she took to a microphone like she is want to do and she tried to explain herself. So let me play this clip for y' all so y' all can by
Mandy B
the way, while you pull that up. She's been on a press run because she just released a new book. And so this all started with her interview on the Breakfast Club where they questioned if she was an actual doctor. This is her on another daytime television show which by the way, she had to clear up on the Breakfast Club her doctor degree since her time on the Joe Budden podcast. So she went on the Joe Budden podcast where they questioned her. And since then the Internet's been a digging. So you could play this clip. This is from the Marissa Mitchell show
Jason Rodriguez
and she was on the Breakfast Club saying that she wasn't going to talk about it anymore.
Mandy B
Listen, she done talking about talking about it. Let's play this clip.
Jason Rodriguez
Here we go.
Dr. Cheyenne Bryant
Earn the title. I have multiple degrees and I'm not going to prove anything to anybody. My obedience is to God, not to people. And so as long as I'm in His will and I'm serving and I'm doing his, you know, his word, my sheep will know my voice. Even the sheep in wolf clothing. That is not my battle.
Mandy B
The questions that are out There. Why not provide the proof of your degree? Why not? Why not?
Dr. Cheyenne Bryant
Well, a couple of things, right? I have multiple degrees, and my thing is that my proof isn't something that I have to prove to individuals. My proof is already within my credentials, my degrees, and also more than just my titles. It's in how effective I've been. All of my sessions have been live for the most part. My sessions with Nick Cannon, Cam Newton, Shannon Sharp, B. Simone, they have all been for the world to see, right? So no one knew who Dr. Bryant was prior to seeing all of my sessions that were live, and they deemed it as well as I did before they did it. They can't validate me. I validated myself. They deemed it as my work being effective.
Mandy B
Man, man, man, man. I want to start off by saying with love. This is all with love.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah.
Mandy B
I do know Cheyenne Bryant. We both have toured with tonight's Conversations. I have met her personally. She's a kind woman. That's where I'm gonna start. However, bitch, calling your therapy sessions or calling these podcasts that you've gone on live sessions, I think is a bunch of fucking shit, first off. Secondly, if you are watching this on video, make sure you follow us. YouTube.comb Baby, I got my degrees behind me.
Aaron A. King
Degrees with an S. Degrees with an
Mandy B
S. She kept saying she has multiple degrees, babe, mine are behind me. I have a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Come loud, baby. I made it. Come loud.
The Hater
Oh, Jesus Christ.
Mandy B
Bachelor.
The Hater
It's not Magnum, is it? Magnum, is it Magnet?
Jason Rodriguez
Magna Cub ladder.
Mandy B
And then a Bachelor of Business Administration. Come loud, bitch.
The Hater
What? Y' all see the T shirt of, like, dripping? Let's do that.
Mandy B
To me. I will say, wait, As a woman who busted her ass, I got 151 credits in four years, right? And, baby, yes, it's.
The Hater
And she was potting, and I was
Mandy B
potting, and I was working at Goldman Sachs, and I fucking even interviewed for the. For an internship with the Obama administration. I studied abroad in Singapore for international business. I was there. I did it. I got my degrees. I can get my transcripts if I want. Shout out.
Aaron A. King
Are those schools still open?
Mandy B
I was about to say shout out to Lehman College.
Aaron A. King
Listen.
Mandy B
Which is a city university. I will say, as someone who went to school, as someone who knows how hard it is, as someone who's currently not using those degrees, it is one of the things that. Baby, if anyone questions you, it's not, you know, God knows me. God got me. I don't have to explain to nobody about my credentials and My multiple degrees. Bitch, if you have an associate's degree, you gonna motherfucking wear that with props.
Jason Rodriguez
Absolutely. Yep.
Mandy B
And you gonna be able to show it. So. So for me, I am disgusted with the fact that she has just been giving us word vomit. I do also think that this is a clear example of how niggas ended up in the cult with nature, boy. Like, as long as someone can form complete sentences, you will have followers. Now, since all of this has been happening, the publisher of her book that just got released is actually offering refunds for people who purchased the book because of her lack of credentials.
The Hater
That's the wildest.
Mandy B
This is the wildest thing I've ever heard.
Jason Rodriguez
Does she still continue to press run?
Mandy B
You know what's also crazy to me? And as a New York Times bestseller, she went say that. And she keeps saying that her book is a bestseller.
Jason Rodriguez
Ooh, what?
Aaron A. King
Listen, even that.
Mandy B
What list are you A bestseller? And so for me, I'm not gonna lie. This is giving pathological liar. It's not giving doctor. It's giving liar. And I do have a voice note that I got sent in the dm. And first off, I want y' all's thoughts on all of this. However, what we do is respond to the Internet, right?
Jason Rodriguez
Mm.
Mandy B
And so a lady in my DMs wrote me, you know what? Let me see if I could play the voice note. Actually, she reached my DM because I feel like this is what a lot of the Internet is asking. So I want you to take a listen to this. I asked the question because I wanted to know what your opinions are. You seem like a non biased person. I want to know if it's rooted in her being a black woman. A woman kind of like how they did Kamala Harris, like, where we have to. But I noticed they don't do that with, like, Dr. Phil or, like, Dr. Umar or Dr. Sebi or.
Jason Rodriguez
Don't do that.
Mandy B
Okay. Basically. And it keeps going. But basically, her question and a lot of people's question is, is Dr. Cheyenne Bryant under fire because she's a black woman using this title?
The Hater
No.
Mandy B
Okay.
The Hater
Everybody she just named has been questioned.
Mandy B
Yeah.
The Hater
Every single person that she named on that list that she thinks hasn't been questioned has all been. I've seen questions about all of them.
Mandy B
I also want y' all to know, too. Cause y' all keep saying it as a joke in the. In the comments. Y' all know Dr. Pepper actually was founded by a nigga who's a doctor.
The Hater
Who's a doctor.
Mandy B
So even like the Dr. Pepper jokes are crazy. I agree with you. I think that the idea that she's getting this backlash because she's a black woman.
The Hater
Don't do that.
Mandy B
Is crazy. I will say there's a lot of people saying that it's black women that are attacking her. But I do think that as professionals, as people who go to school with credentials, as black people who always have to do things actually to the
Charlamagne Tha God
nth
Mandy B
degree to anyone of another color or race, I actually like that she's being held to the fire for this because I don't think that a doctor title is something you should be able to just use on Nilly Willy. I don't think that you should be able to get online and have people believe that you're a professional. She is charging people $350 an hour to talk to her on the phone.
Jason Rodriguez
Nope.
Mandy B
Because they are under the guise that she is credentialed and went to school for these things. There is no dissertation online. She just keeps saying, I have multiple degrees and she has not been able to show proof of one.
Aaron A. King
Yeah.
Mandy B
Not even a graduation photo. Shout out to Eden, my dog. Eden caught me at my graduation holding that thing up. But yeah, I'm curious what y' all have been seeing on the Internet. Jason, if you have any thoughts, Akin, what are your thoughts on everything with this sheet?
Jason Rodriguez
We in a wild time. You know, what's the Florida kid that went to that said he was a
The Hater
doctor and started performing on doing the surgeries and all that procedures.
Mandy B
And I was a black boy.
The Hater
Yeah. Young black boy.
Jason Rodriguez
I guess I have questions in terms of like, this is in the past week, she's been on like three different platforms.
The Hater
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
And there's nothing we learned new. You know, she doesn't have a degree.
Mandy B
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
So as long as we keep platforming her, she wins.
Aaron A. King
Right.
Jason Rodriguez
The questioning of her certification is she's out here. Mental health is a priority in this culture. Right. So she's out here projecting and she's an expert and she had the credentials to provide resource for that. But then it's like, okay, but you don't have the credentials. So that means anybody and everybody could get on these platforms. Right. And just do and say. And she used Cam Newton and their platforms as justification as to why she can do this. You know what? Maybe I missed this. Before she got on Cam Newton's show, did they preface this saying that, hey,
The Hater
this is a live consult?
Mandy B
No.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, then it's all bullshit.
Mandy B
And that's the thing. She's giving general advice to dating and relationships and things like that.
Jason Rodriguez
And I think what caught her in the fire really, though, what Is when she went to the. Tonight's conversation.
Mandy B
No, Joe Budden podcast is the one that you think.
Jason Rodriguez
I think is when she went to that tonight's conversation, she had on the see through Net outfit and people were
Mandy B
like, no, no, you're talking about the Jeezy concert.
Aaron A. King
Yeah, that was a Jeezy concert.
Mandy B
That was a Jeezy concert.
The Hater
Yeah, that was a good.
Mandy B
You know what I will say.
Jason Rodriguez
But that's what called, you know, hey, a doctor wouldn't wear some shit like that.
Mandy B
I will say she didn't. She somewhat spoke to it on the Breakfast Club. The reason why she even got to sit with these people, let's be very clear, is because she's an attractive woman.
The Hater
Boom.
Mandy B
She's had pretty privilege. Because there are a lot of black doctors, I follow so many that talk about sex, that talk about dating, that are actually certified with credentials, but they just may not have the look.
The Hater
They're not baddies.
Jason Rodriguez
They're not the Dr. Baddies.
The Hater
Yeah, Dr. Baddies.
Mandy B
Dr. Baddies.
Jason Rodriguez
I want my 20% of you. I create a show.
Mandy B
Dr. Baddies is crazy. I will say, overall, I hate the take that the Internet is trying to say that this is an attack on a black woman because she's a black woman. I think that unfortunately, she is a pretty liar. Ooh. And we are platforming a liar. And I just wish that she would hone in on just. I don't know. It's given her.
Aaron A. King
Can we rank you by her lies?
Jason Rodriguez
Stretch the truth.
Aaron A. King
What happened is, Mandy, can we rank some of her lies? If we do, let's say there's. She said she was gonna continue to do her work without a license. She said the license doesn't mean anything. Then she said that she's a doctor. And then she said that those interviews wasn't even on her show. She went on other people's show to do sessions with them.
Mandy B
She said Argosy University burnt down. She found out two years after it burnt down and said that they didn't have her transcripts. I wanna tell you, actually, the biggest lie that I think she said that I've never heard of in my entire life. The biggest lie being that she went through a doctorate program, called them and they offered her her money back.
The Hater
Really?
Mandy B
I have never heard a university you going through, taking all the courses and all the classes, and them saying, we don't have your transcripts. Cause a third party lost it. But do you want your money back? And she said, no.
The Hater
Like a doctorate program. Like what, six figures? They just gonna give you even if
Mandy B
you have financial aid, it's tens of thousands of dollars.
The Hater
Very much.
Mandy B
So a university that now is no longer in business.
The Hater
Yeah.
Mandy B
How would they offer you the money back for this program that you went through? Like that? To me, I was just like, bitch, Sallie Mae still on my dick.
Jason Rodriguez
Let me ask you, what's the over under that? She Googled closed online universities and just take one. Cause once it's cold, you can't really do nothing.
Mandy B
Oh, I'm not gonna lie. It's in 2019, in the work field, American Apparel would be on my goddamn resume. Spirit Airlines would be on my motherfucking resume. Any of the places that have closed down and shut down would be on my fucking resume. Listen. Flight attendant for Spirit Airlines.
The Hater
My problem is this a. Well, we'll talk about the black woman attack thing first. The first response that I saw to this was a woman named Dr. Raquel Martin.
Mandy B
Yes.
The Hater
And her video now has, like, 2.5 million views. And she really broke down each of the claims that Cheyenne Bryant made and was explaining why this is either dangerous or just probably untrue. And, like, as black people, we understand the idea that we have to work harder and do more to be seen, but we should also be holding ourselves to a certain standard. This isn't a black woman being attacked for being a black woman. You're talking about being a professional, a medical health professional. You should be able to document where you came from, what your credentials are. That should be something that any medical professional would be proud to show you. This is what it is.
Mandy B
You even say medical professionals, like, in no way does a doctor who goes into the operating room not have to show credentials to be in that operating room. But now, because it's mental health, we just. It's.
The Hater
And that was part of Raquel. Dr. Raquel Martin's point was that, what if something goes wrong? You're doing therapy with somebody, and something goes terribly wrong inside of these therapy sessions, and now this person goes and does something bad.
Mandy B
Kear Gaines said the same thing.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah.
Mandy B
When he was on Breakfast Club, he was like, you know, if you get to a part where within the session, you actually have to lean into the things that you learned in school. It's not you just giving advice to your homegirl.
The Hater
Yeah. This is like that.
Mandy B
Like, mental health isn't just how to get a man, how to keep him.
The Hater
Yeah, yeah. It's not gender wars on Twitter. It's like. And that's what we actually know that
Mandy B
we receive from her is the gender war conversations. I'm not gonna lie. I am highly disappointed in this. I also, again, have never heard of a publisher offering refunds because, you know, you are pushing a book based on this credential that now can't be proven. It's crazy. Also, I got a notice, which is also weird. It looks like she submitted to trademark her name, Dr. Bryant.
Aaron A. King
Oh, with the doctor.
The Hater
Oh, man, that's crazy.
Mandy B
So then she could keep using the
Jason Rodriguez
word doctor Also, people would have to acknowledge it as such, as part of her name.
The Hater
That's such a disrespect to, like, people that, like, doctor is not just. It's not like, you can't. It's not a nickname. It's not like a brand name. It's not something that you call a product. What's crazy is a title that you earn through education and intelligence.
Mandy B
And critics are pointing out that a trademark protects a brand name, but not professional licensing, education, or legal authority. The fact that she really want to try.
Jason Rodriguez
Did she try to doctor doctor or just doctor? Like the word doctor dot?
The Hater
Yo, the word will be crazy.
Jason Rodriguez
Well, look, I applaud her for the courage to, you know, to even do it.
The Hater
I mean, she's trying to see the
Jason Rodriguez
scam through, very clean. She's like, you know what? If I trademark it, people have to acknowledge it as such. It's part of the name. And I never have to answer to the degree part of it. That is kind of clever, the links
The Hater
that people go through. She tried it to cover up the bullshit.
Jason Rodriguez
Listen.
The Hater
Incredible.
Jason Rodriguez
Listen, that's a pipeline of money, though, right? That's how she earns her bread.
The Hater
Rating.
Mandy B
To me, though. To me, though, you already know. I don't like the niggas who be selling courses claiming that they can help
The Hater
you make a podcast and make a million dollars.
Mandy B
And they ain't never made a podcast that made a million dollars. Like, I know you did. I did.
Jason Rodriguez
All right. Look at this. Funny.
Mandy B
I saw. And so for me, I. Yeah, I have a problem with this.
Wheezy
This is Weezy. WTF from Decisions. Decisions. You know, a lot of us grew up not fully trusting the healthcare system. So know your options, ask questions, and protect your peace and your body. That's real power. Because protecting yourself isn't embarrassing, it's responsible. Sex is normal. Protecting yourself should be normal too. Actually, it's kind of badass. Taking control of your sexual health is grown woman energy. Sponsored by Care for the Culture from Gilead Sciences.

Mandy B
well, let's get into the next topic.
Jason Rodriguez
Yep yep yep.
Mandy B
Swatch did a collaboration with AP Jesus H. Crisis and boy did it get the people going. There's been conversations around elitism because rappers have spoken out that this collab is going to cheapen the brand of ap. There are I do wanna play this clip because JA has not seen this clip.
The Hater
I have not.
Mandy B
If you could pull it up Jason DDG took to the Internet to say this about the collaboration which already makes
The Hater
it goofy' cause DDG is saying it but here goes 300 bucks. Like just seeing this make me want to sell my A.P.
Jason Rodriguez
a.P. What's up man?
The Hater
What's going on? I didn't spent 200000 on one of y' all watches. You telling me I could have waited to 2026 and spent 300 and got the same effect? The hoes can't tell the difference. Wow they don't know what the if if this a skeleton I tell a girl hey this black ceramic AP Limited Edition 300 000. You feel me?
Jason Rodriguez
Come on bro.
The Hater
That ain't right brother. It's down here that really pay reset. I could see if I was getting my watches for I know retail I'm paying resale prices. I'm getting hit on the head for extra 20, 000 to rock y' all watch or extra 100, 000? The AP Skeleton, that retail like 80 bands or some. I'm pissed. As a customer, I'm pissed. Y' all gonna make a billion dollars off this. I get it. I already know
Aaron A. King
that man turned into the MLK of AP watching.
The Hater
Yeah. Like, the first problem is everything he said says, I don't know about watches. I don't know about what. What's a valuable timepiece versus what's not a valuable timepiece. He's saying the words that the marketing said to him. That a salesman said to him. It's black ceramic, nigga. How do you make ceramic, nigga? What does ceramic come from that makes you think that you know that it's why it's valuable, nigga. What do you know about complexities and gauge clusters to know why a certain kind of watch is expensive versus another kind of watch?
Mandy B
The fact that he said, the hoes ain't gonna know the difference.
The Hater
The hose don't know the difference. No way, nigga.
Mandy B
No, no, no, no, no. The ho. I mean, as a former ho myself, I would like to say that as women, if you wanna know if a man has money for real, for real. Literally, look at his wrist. That is literally. And my ex activee loved watches. So when we went to Vegas, we went to all the watch stores, baby. Them things is intricate. Okay?
The Hater
Yeah, very intricate.
Mandy B
And so for me, actually, yes, the hoes do know the difference. Again, I'm not one anymore, but. And also, I was like.
Aaron A. King
So that's why they were upset.
Mandy B
It was ddg.
Aaron A. King
It was OT Genesis, and it was, I swear, Vezzo.
Mandy B
Yeah, there was quite a few.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, I seen one with Babyface Ray.
Mandy B
More.
Aaron A. King
I had another one to the movie.
Jason Rodriguez
What is happening?
Mandy B
This just, to me, shows, unfortunately, within our community, like, it's the elitism of it all, like, to not want people to be able to afford something that's, you know, that allows them to feel good about themselves. Let's also be very clear. Gucci has collaborated with Adidas.
The Hater
Yes.
Mandy B
You have Alexander Wang and Balmain, who have collaborated with H and M. Yep. You have, like, a lot of these fashion houses that have collaborated with, you know, lower brands.
The Hater
You need to come down to a
Mandy B
blue collar level, and it hasn't impacted. You still have the nice, higher end pieces, and then you have the ones that are more affordable. Just don't get it. And I'm not gonna lie. Here's my ignorant take, baby. I thought I was just Gonna pull up to Lennox and get me one. I just was finna get one just so I could resell it to the niggas. And baby, I didn't know that the kids were out sleeping for five days.
Jason Rodriguez
Well, and for a non limited edition.
Aaron A. King
It's not even limited edition.
Jason Rodriguez
And they're not. They're not. They don't have bands. Right.
The Hater
They don't even have pocket watch. The pocket watch.
Jason Rodriguez
Ignorant.
The Hater
Ignorant niggas gonna have that shit on their neck like Flavor fl.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, no.
The Hater
Just for the motherfuckers.
Mandy B
You can put it on a lanyard.
Jason Rodriguez
So here's what's gonna happen. And this is so years ago when we used to rock the JanSport book bags, right?
Mandy B
Not the JanSport book bags.
Jason Rodriguez
And they used to have the strings and people would get jumped with the strings. They'd pull your strings just cause you got dope strings on the back of a fucking book bag.
Mandy B
This must have been a New York bag.
Jason Rodriguez
What do you think?
Mandy B
Yeah, yeah, okay.
Jason Rodriguez
What do you think is going to happen when you got your timepiece hanging out your pocket?
Charlamagne Tha God
It's over.
Jason Rodriguez
You know how many people gonna be
The Hater
give me that shit. Yeah, yeah.
Mandy B
By the way, I saw they already have dupes on Canal Street.
Jason Rodriguez
Of course I would buy that.
Mandy B
So I'm not gonna hold you.
Jason Rodriguez
Ignorant tape. It's the same shit.
Mandy B
It's the same shit. Probably from the same factory at all.
Jason Rodriguez
Well, it's the same factory. And then they just use the remnants and put this shit together.
The Hater
Cause how they produce it so quick.
Mandy B
You know what? I'm not even gonna hold y'. All.
Jason Rodriguez
It's the same shit.
Mandy B
Swatches for everybody. I'm.
The Hater
I'm bringing all the Swatch.
Jason Rodriguez
Go to Canal Street. Go to Canal Street.
Mandy B
I'll be in New York. I gotta get it in New York, though.
The Hater
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
You can't go to T Move.
The Hater
Nah. Everybody.
Mandy B
Selective ignorance, gang. We gonna come in here with our Swatch APs and none of these niggas gonna look at.
The Hater
They look at the. They don't. They don't even look at their Apple watch.
Mandy B
Can I also tell you, it's a bracelet. I also. And I don't know the theme. I did hit up one of my boyfriends and I was like, nigga, I know you got the plug on this.
The Hater
Where it at?
Mandy B
Give me the. He said I must be young. He didn't know what Swatch was.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, shit.
Mandy B
He didn't know the brand of Swatch is a Y N. He's a Y
The Hater
N. But I Guess the brand of Swatch. It's with us. It's with us.
Jason Rodriguez
But now.
Mandy B
And now the kids only know it because of all of this.
Jason Rodriguez
So it worked. It worked.
Mandy B
Yeah, it worked. It did work.
The Hater
Well, the other problem is, too. And, like, we've been seeing this for a long time now, especially when it comes to proms and homecoming, but even just to see how kids are dressed now. Like, when I was in high school, and I dare to say when we were in high school. I don't know about you, but, like, n wasn't. There was nobody in my high school with Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, nothing.
Mandy B
Same, same.
The Hater
The best thing you was gonna get in high school was Tommy Hilfiger, Polo.
Mandy B
Polo and Jordans.
The Hater
Jordans, that was the top luxury brand for teenagers. Did not have none of this. It was a goal.
Jason Rodriguez
It was like, yo, I want to get a Fossil watch.
The Hater
Yeah. Like, that was like 150.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh. That was like, oh, my God, I made it.
Charlamagne Tha God
Yeah.
Mandy B
No, Yeah. I. I would say for me in school, it was definitely like, if you had the New Jays like, that you was the one. Because other than that, we was wearing Reeboks and K Swiss.
The Hater
I worked at the shoe store. I had the first Iversons, like, two weeks before they came out. And you couldn't tell me nothing. I thought I had a Rolls Royce,
Mandy B
like, nigga, I was wearing. And one sneakers.
The Hater
Oh, my God, you had a pair of Stephon Marbury. You had a pair of Mars Starberry ones.
Mandy B
No, to be fair, though, you're right. The labels weren't a thing. I think the biggest label at the time was Coach, like, very shit like that. So to be seeing that this is what the youth is very materialized now.
Jason Rodriguez
Their aim is whatever's happening in pop culture, like, from the accessory, Right? Look, we didn't see the Met Gala. If we saw some Met Gala shit as a kid. What the fuck is this? Fuck that shit.
The Hater
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
Now they wanna be there.
The Hater
They wanna be that.
Jason Rodriguez
They wanna do everything that they see. Cause it's kind of. The worlds are blending in now.
Mandy B
Yeah. Cause let me tell y', all, I ain't know shit about what an AP was till I heard Future was giving them out to his.
The Hater
Well, that's the other problem, too.
Mandy B
Like, I got a Rolex. That's as much.
Jason Rodriguez
Don't do it. Rolex.
Mandy B
Wait, wait. Why?
Jason Rodriguez
Don't do it.
Mandy B
Hold on.
Jason Rodriguez
Don't do it.
The Hater
No.
Jason Rodriguez
We have to maintain.
Mandy B
Oh, wait. Who's not a real dd?
Jason Rodriguez
That's why we have goals. We have to have goals in life to achieve them. We don't want to. If we. If we reduce it, then we're not going to aim higher.
Mandy B
I. I will be honest.
Aaron A. King
So you're on the same. You're on the same page with ddg.
Mandy B
He's literally on the same page.
The Hater
But I'm not saying DDG is doing
Jason Rodriguez
it for the hoes, right?
The Hater
Yeah, no, but there's. Why do people do. Why do dudes do stuff? Yeah, no, but the nuance here is I said this to my girl. Like, there's a certain thing of. Like, if you won a lottery today, right, and you won a hundred million dollars. Yeah. There's a lot of shit you can go out and buy all at one time.
Jason Rodriguez
Right.
The Hater
There's also. You could also still pace yourself because I have $100 million. I don't have to go out tonight and buy every Lambo, every Ferrari, every Rolls Royce. I can still buy a Lambo this year and a Ferrari next year, whatever.
Mandy B
But you know what happens with those. They depreciate.
Jason Rodriguez
Sure.
Mandy B
Which my friend actually told me this had to be my first big purchase. Now, this is like a baby. This is a 30. A 31. It's only a $7,500 watch. However, I could go to goddamn Rolex today and get 750 and get 700 for it.
Jason Rodriguez
That's why I don't. Rolex specifically. Don't do it. Rolex.
Charlamagne Tha God
Just keep it.
Aaron A. King
Just keep.
Jason Rodriguez
Don't do no collabos. Do not cheapen.
The Hater
I would be surprised they do an apple watch.
Jason Rodriguez
We don't need a dye.
The Hater
No, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Rolex does an apple watch that's 24 karat gold.
Aaron A. King
But it's a legitimate question. What does it cheapen? Aking. Ooh.
Jason Rodriguez
Say what?
Aaron A. King
Yeah, what does it cheapen? If Rolex does a collab with Apple watch. What is it for you specifically? What does it cheapen?
Jason Rodriguez
It's the idea that you have to. No, this is. No, this is. No, no, no, no, no, it's not. It's not. I do have one, but that's a whole nother story, so. No, but that.
Mandy B
I was trying to look and see what watched.
The Hater
She embigying the shit out of a king Wat.
Mandy B
What is it?
The Hater
Let me just.
Mandy B
Let me.
Jason Rodriguez
Hold on.
Mandy B
What are those?
Jason Rodriguez
Gld. No, don't do that. I have nice watches. It's just that this is.
Mandy B
What is this one?
Jason Rodriguez
This is a. It's a brand called GLD Gold. Gld? Yeah. Nah, they dope. I surprised.
Mandy B
But you know what's crazy? It looked like a Rolex bezel.
Jason Rodriguez
Not really. Oh, yeah.
Mandy B
It literally. That's why I had to look harder. So I was like, I don't see.
Jason Rodriguez
Okay.
Aaron A. King
Hey, King, put it up to the camera. Shout out to. You can make a video.
Jason Rodriguez
You know what I mean? It might be a. Hit him with the a day date.
Mandy B
Is the present a datejust A datejust.
Jason Rodriguez
There might be a silver datejust somewhere.
Mandy B
Okay. So anyway, the whole thing is. What does it cheapen?
Jason Rodriguez
It cheapens the idea that it's a status thing.
Mandy B
Yep.
Jason Rodriguez
You know, ultimately it's the same thing DDG saying. No, it is. Look, I'm give you examples in sports. Right. You will see after a successful season, a vet would gift all of his teammates Rolexes at the end of the season for their hard work. Right. Cause you've achieved something. So this is the status here, rappers. When you get your first deal, one of the first purchases is probably a rollie and a car, right?
The Hater
Or chain.
Jason Rodriguez
You arrive to it. You're not doing it to flex. It's just that it just maintains a certain status. And that's what I'm saying. That's why I'm saying I hope they don't do it because I don't want them to reduce the.
Mandy B
So I just want you to say DDG pretty much said the same thing.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, he didn't say.
Mandy B
Because the ap, he doesn't want. People having an ap, by the way, is it costs way more than a Rolex. So, like, no AP is no y'.
Jason Rodriguez
All.
Mandy B
Hey, AP is expensive.
Jason Rodriguez
But I'll pick Rolex over AP any day, though.
The Hater
But here's what. I'll shoot you.
Mandy B
But it's more. I will say me too, because I can't afford an ap. No.
The Hater
But I should.
Jason Rodriguez
I'm trying to name drop these niggas so much so they could just send some shit.
Mandy B
Go ahead. Wait, wait, Go ahead.
The Hater
I think the nuance to me between what a king is saying and what DDG is saying is DDG is saying he feels like he's wearing something lesser than now because regular people can get it. I think the point that a king is making is that you should. There should be items that you work up to as a successful thing. Like everything doesn't need to. Just like the idea of working hard if you really want something. Now, we should all be working hard not to necessarily just achieve material things, but we all want material things. If you have your favorite car or
Mandy B
your favorite watch My first purchase was a Gucci belt, and I just was happy that I could go into the Gucci store. They could give me the little champagne.
The Hater
But what did you do for that Gucci belt?
Mandy B
Whoa, whoa. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey, hey. The guy worked hard.
The Hater
But that's my point. But that's my point.
Mandy B
I thought you acting like.
Jason Rodriguez
Hold on. They don't work hard either.
Mandy B
What?
Jason Rodriguez
They don't
The Hater
come loud. They come loud. Come loud. Them come loud real hard. But you bust your ass to get a thing. Yeah. So I don't think that the AP is necessarily like the. The end all be all of you being arriving at a place. But I do think the idea of working hard to achieve so that I can afford to buy a certain kind of thing is a thing. And if you get that thing for just basically nothing without putting in something for it, cheapens the idea of what is behind it. The AP is valuable because of how it's made.
Aaron A. King
Am I bugging Mandy? This is what DDG is saying.
Mandy B
Literally.
The Hater
No, literally, Jason. You think that's what DDG said?
Mandy B
Jason,
Aaron A. King
he's worried about his class of hoes are going to go down because the level of his status is cheapened.
The Hater
What's that going to do with working hard?
Aaron A. King
But now you're delegitimizing his field of work, whatever that may be.
The Hater
Well, I am delegitimizing his field of work. What the fuck is his field of work?
Mandy B
He's a streamer. It's very hard.
The Hater
No. Okay, great. But like, ddg, like, are we gonna treat ddg? Like he's like some. All right, never mind.
Mandy B
Oh, look.
The Hater
Oh.
Mandy B
Oh. You know what?
You know what?
Let's get into real quick, y'. All. We have another virus on Hannah Montana.
Aaron A. King
Hannah Montana?
Mandy B
Jason, explain the Hannah virus.
Aaron A. King
Oh, man. So the Hannah. So it's a rare but potentially serious viral infection, and it spreads through contact with infected rodents, especially things like their droppings, their urine, saliva. A lot of people think that it originated from these people on a cruise ship who they docked at an island and didn't do the kind of typical tourist things. They went to someplace where it was. I forget, but it was some kind
Jason Rodriguez
of a landfill or something like a
Aaron A. King
landfill where they might have got exposed to that. And so some of the symptoms that you may have, they can appear flu, like, you know, fever, fatigue, headaches, muscle aches. But the severe cases can be dangerous to your lung, breathing problems. And some strains of the virus can be found in South America. I believe that's where the two tourists Got it?
Mandy B
Nah, nigga. And then they done brought niggas to Atlanta.
Jason Rodriguez
No, but.
Aaron A. King
And then they brought it to Atlanta.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah.
Aaron A. King
And they also say, like, when it's real bad, you're like bleeding out the backside.
The Hater
Yeah.
Mandy B
By the way, three people have died.
The Hater
They're on that boat.
Mandy B
Yep. And then the WHO and health agencies have reported roughly 8 to 11 confirmed or suspected other cases. For whatever reason, they didn't keep these niggas out in the middle of the ocean. They brought them back to land, and I do not know why.
Jason Rodriguez
Well, just for context, too, this thing started happening in the beginning of April, and it hit critical mass mid to late April in terms of the awareness of it. Right. So I think if their stories add up, I think they were trying to figure this out and that's how we were able to get the information.
Mandy B
So there's the Hannah virus.
Jason Rodriguez
The two people, the husband and wife, I think they were in the 70s, they were from Argentina.
Aaron A. King
And, well, they're Dutch, but they weren't in architects.
Jason Rodriguez
Right. And then the two people that they had at Emory Hospital. Oh, I'm sorry.
The Hater
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
Emory Hospital. They were under their strict supervision and quarantine. So they're here. Cause they're from here, but they're isolated now.
Mandy B
This is a little scary.
Jason Rodriguez
And a six week quarantine. Yeah, some other shit.
Aaron A. King
The couple from New York, they made them quarantine in Nebraska. They wouldn't even let them come back.
Mandy B
They go over there, like, knowing that this shit came from rats. I just don't understand how it ain't started. New York, New York has the most rap I've ever seen in my life.
The Hater
I thought about that too.
Mandy B
How the fuck is it just in the middle of the, like, wherever this shit is. I do also just want to add, I don't know if y' all know, World Health Organization also has declared an Ebola outbreak in Africa.
Jason Rodriguez
Yes, I saw that.
Mandy B
Over 300 cases with suspected 88 deaths. And guess what? No vaccine for this current strain. So, like the fact that Hanna virus is dealing right now. Ebola, y', all, the world is ending. And I just want you to enjoy yourself, okay?
The Hater
Go get that ap.
Jason Rodriguez
And just for.
The Hater
We outta here. We done anyway. We cooked anyway. You might as well go buy your ap, my nigga.
Mandy B
It's done. And if y' all know our motherfucking administration, babe, we're not getting on lockdown.
The Hater
Like, oh, I can't even imagine what RFK is gonna tell us to take for the Hanna virus.
Jason Rodriguez
I think we just gotta. What you have to do is that's what communities are important, you know, that's why have conversations. And whatever you did in Covid that got you through that shit do that times five.
Mandy B
I was having anal sex, so I don't know if I could do that.
The Hater
Didn't give you Covid?
Mandy B
No, it didn't.
Jason Rodriguez
Listen, and just to add a footnote too, I think the human to human contact of hantavirus is called the Andes virus Andy strain.
Mandy B
Also, six years from now, they're really just gonna tell us to leave niggas alone. Cause apparently Hanna virus doesn't stay in your respiratory, doesn't stay in your blood, doesn't stay in your saliva, but it stays in your ball sack, guys. So there was a recent guy who apparently had this same virus six years ago, and they found it in his sperm. So they are saying that it could be potentially transmissible. Transmissible.
Aaron A. King
This all sounds like it's written by chat some whack ass Apple TV show.
Mandy B
I'm just scared, baby.
Jason Rodriguez
This about to be the new one. So there's gonna be a dec. Cream pie, you know.
Mandy B
All right. A decrease in cream pie is crazy.
The Hater
So essentially you want to stay away from rats, right? So no Tekashi 69ine. No shit.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh. I mean, you don't do that gun. You cross over, you crawl up.
The Hater
See, no rats.
Mandy B
All right, well, let's get into celebrities. Say the darnest things, babe.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah.
Mandy B
Kevin Hart roast. The Internet. I don't listen. I feel like once a quarter we have to talk about fucking comedy being offensive. And I'm kind of like, okay, maybe I shouldn't have the thoughts of the
The Hater
biracial for this one.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, go for it.
Mandy B
Jay Z. Could you let us know what the Kevin Hart roast was, who was a part of it, and why there is such an uproar?
Aaron A. King
Yeah. So Kevin Hart was roasted. He follows in the steps of Tom Brady, who was the last Netflix roast participant. Obviously, like roast are something that were big events that kind of happened in the city between comedians way back in the day. They were on TV occasionally. But now Netflix is stepping all into that lane. And the thing is, you know, there's the familiar faces that he was getting roasted by like Chelsea Handler and some of the people he came up with.
Mandy B
When I say Jeff Ross.
The Hater
Jeff Ross is so funny.
Aaron A. King
Jeff Ross is kind of like the Roast.
Mandy B
Oh my gosh.
Aaron A. King
Of everyone. But then there was some unfamiliar faces for people who may be Kevin Hart's fans, like Tony.
Mandy B
Kill Tony. Yeah, Tony. Yeah.
Aaron A. King
And you know, with the Unfamiliars, they also. They often venture into territory that we don't think is so cool. And he made a reference of George Floyd jokes and Kevin Hart size and George Floyd not being able to breathe. And the Internet didn't take too kindly, including Cheryl Underwood.
Mandy B
So Cheryl Underwood has spoken up because there were also jokes about her husband who died.
The Hater
Suicide, correct?
Mandy B
Yeah, I think he jumped off a building or something. But when asked by the brat if she felt any type of way about the joke that Tony had about her husband, she said, one, they came with me with respect, and two, you're right. In a roast, there are no limits. Here's what I want people to know. It allowed me to talk about black men and mental illness. She had no problem with the jokes. No. This was what Sheryl Underwood said. She had no problems with the jokes. I do think seeing that this is a roast of a black man and seeing that all the writers of these jokes were white, it just allowed them to get a whole bunch of racist shit off.
The Hater
Very much so.
Mandy B
I also felt like the delivery of the George Floyd joke, it wasn't even. First off, he stumbled over it.
Jason Rodriguez
Yes.
The Hater
Yeah, he did. He did slub the joke.
Mandy B
I. I do think, like, making jokes about a man dying from police brutality. Eh. But I don't know. I'm not gonna lie. What are yalls thoughts? I ain't gonna hold you. It's a roast. We used to roast in school. And baby, you could talk about somebody mama, they daddy, their mental illness, their skin disease, their heart disease.
Aaron A. King
Yeah, but that was your people that you choose to eat lunch with, correct? Like, yeah, but that's my biggest thing.
Mandy B
These are his friends, though.
Aaron A. King
No, no. I feel like. So this is my thing, right? Like, Kevin Hart is bankable. Bankable movie star, right? So big of a movie star that he also gets additional money because of his social media. So huge, Right? Bankable star, social media so huge that he gets a Netflix deal. Right? So, like, he's a powerful dude. He could decide what he wants to do. It's not like he has to take any deal. So it's like, if you're gonna get roasted, you could literally have, like, all your people, and all your people are the illest comics anyway.
The Hater
Yeah.
Aaron A. King
So it's like, I don't understand, like, why you want to get, like, these dudes who are kind of across the aisle, like, alternate comedy that's like, not your man's in them. Because good roasts come from people who know you. You know what I'm saying?
The Hater
Yeah.
Aaron A. King
To have this dude roast you. And of course he's gonna go over the line because he doesn't know you, so he has to just say some wild shit.
Mandy B
I mean, but everyone was getting roasted.
Aaron A. King
I think that Kevin Hart could have done.
Mandy B
Draymond got roasted.
Aaron A. King
Anybody else?
Mandy B
Chelsea Handler got roasted. There were, like, everyone kind of that was on stage got jokes.
Aaron A. King
But Chelsea Handler's his person. But Chelsea Handler wasn't even happy with, like, going back and forth. Cause that wasn't like. Dude was just an outsider. It's like, if there's a roast of Mandy B. It would be like, all right, and then let's put.
Mandy B
Here we go.
The Hater
Bridget can't show up to the roast of Mandy B.
Aaron A. King
Exactly.
The Hater
She can't show up to the roast of Mandy B and start talking shit without getting run down.
Mandy B
This is different. I don't know if Kevin has beef with anybody that was up there.
The Hater
No, there's no.
Aaron A. King
Like, who was that white Republican chick that Charlamagne kept on bringing on?
The Hater
Oh, Tomi Lahren.
Mandy B
Yeah.
Aaron A. King
It's like, Tommy, Lauren shows up, and she doesn't know you, so she doesn't know what to say. So she's gonna say some mixed girl shit. Cause she doesn't know what to say.
The Hater
That's why your mama white. Like, she get punched in the face for that.
Mandy B
Okay, exactly. Okay, So y' all didn't like the jokes?
The Hater
No, no, I didn't like that joke. Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
Because look what happened when that happened, when George Floyd, that whole scenario with the cops and then so much was done on the ground. We get the kid, Kyle Rittenhouse shoots somebody protesting. It's so many things that happen that's off limits. You could talk about Kevin directly and say some wild shit.
The Hater
Yeah, that's the problem, is that George Floyd didn't have shit to do with shit.
Jason Rodriguez
Nothing.
The Hater
You literally just used that for the joke to.
Mandy B
But it's weird because. Okay, so where do you draw the line? I get that that's current, but there were lynching and slavery jokes, too, which essentially shouldn't be. But those jokes were in there as well.
Jason Rodriguez
He specified something in person. And ask George Floyd family how they feel about that.
The Hater
Oh, yeah. No, they're pissed.
Jason Rodriguez
Right? So it's like, there is a line. Yes, it's comedy. Comedy is a big umbrella. However, he didn't have to do that to be effective.
The Hater
My thing with comedy.
Jason Rodriguez
And that didn't hurt Kevin Hart more so than it hurt the community that he's talking to.
The Hater
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It didn't have any effect first of all, the joke wasn't like. I'm a person who thinks that literally anything can be funny. For better or for worse, anything can be funny. It's your job as a comedian to know how to navigate that space and make the thing funny. I don't think that there was a punchline. Like, first off, he said, George Floyd is looking up at us. So you're saying George Floyd is in hell.
Jason Rodriguez
Boom.
The Hater
Looking up at us and he can't breathe. Like, all right, bro, like, where's the joke? Where's the punchline? What is the commentary that you're making that I'm supposed to be like, oh, that's funny. Cause George Floyd is in hell and he is not get breathed. Is that what I'm supposed to laugh at? Like, I don't get the.
Mandy B
I mean, Kevin Hart laughed. He was. And I don't.
Aaron A. King
Cause Kevin Hart was paid to laugh.
Mandy B
He's there.
Aaron A. King
And also Kevin Hart was doing this move a lot.
The Hater
Yeah, but to your point, if I'm Kevin Hart, I can also choose because I'm so powerful. I can choose to go straight face. I could choose to pay you dust if I want to, or I can laugh nervously and act like everything is all good. He chose the latter, so be it. But the thing with the comedy is that even though I believe that anything can be funny, cause I laugh at dark humor of all kinds. Like, dark humor can be hilarious. But that doesn't mean that there's not a line. It doesn't mean that you won't not just offend someone because of jokes. Because I saw people responding, saying, oh, well, if you can't take a joke, you don't need to be in comedy. The one group of people who you can't talk to like that is black people. We know how to joke.
Mandy B
Yeah.
The Hater
Like you said, when we join on people, we roast people, we gonna say all kind of shit about your one footed grandmama and whoopi whoopty whoop. So we know how to laugh at your trauma. Like, that's not a thing. We don't have a problem with that. But we're not also not gonna just let you say any old thing again. Especially when it wasn't had no relevance to the joke. Was somebody in George, like, does Kevin Hart know George Floyd? Is that supposed to, like, where's the connection that we're supposed to giggle at? I just didn't get it.
Mandy B
I will say that comedy as of late has seemed much darker. Like, even when we look at like the Dave Chappelle Standups, like, he teeters the line a lot with. Where you don't know if you should laugh or not. Right, right. And so I feel like it's just the direction we're going in right now.
Jason Rodriguez
Well, society is
Mandy B
dark.
Jason Rodriguez
It needs healing. And we are in the crime politically, socially, and it seeps in every aspect of what we're doing. Everything.
The Hater
But I've seen so many. I follow a lot of comedians, and I get a lot of comedy content on my Instagram algorithm, and I've seen lately all kinds of jokes that are hilarious, that are, like, on the edge, on the line, gay jokes, black jokes, all kind of stuff. But it's, like, legitimately funny stuff that even when you look at the comments of people responding to it, whatever the group is that is supposed to be targeted by the joke, they're still laughing with the comedian. And I've seen a lot of that. So I think just, if you're gonna be a comedian, you wanna tell edgy jokes, tell your edgy jokes, but just be good at it. Be funny, be funny. And that's your joke.
Aaron A. King
But also, too, when you're doing a roast, you gotta keep your circle. Who's gonna roast you better than the people you know?
Mandy B
I agree.
Aaron A. King
Like, homeboy's just not on the block. He's not on the block. He's coming in. So he's just trying to say his wild Hail Mary joke, and it's like, yo, he's been funny.
The Hater
Eddie is protected.
Mandy B
Do you think we talk about the roast at all if that joke is not said?
The Hater
No.
Mandy B
How do y'. All. Yeah, right.
Jason Rodriguez
Cause the real highlight of it should have been Katt Williams.
The Hater
That should have been. And that was like a semi headline. It was like.
Jason Rodriguez
But it was like that. So that would have been the conversation. Conversation. And how their interaction versus
The Hater
came and pretty much hijacked the moment of not being able to get there.
Jason Rodriguez
And there's nothing else in his roast that was like, okay. That we even talked about. Yeah.
The Hater
Yeah, right. All right, all right.
Wheezy
This is wheezy. Wtf? From Decisions, Decisions. You know, a lot of us grew up not fully trusting the healthcare system.
Mandy B
Okay, so quick behind the scenes moment about my business. Because people always ask me, like, how do I actually run everything? So Shopify is literally the platform where I turned this tiny idea into a business. Before this, I was really just like popping up at any in person event, any vending opportunity I could, which I still do, but I wasn't really as focused on online. I was like, you know, the websites are going to be too much to build out. I'm not like a super techy person, even though I can make things cute. And I didn't want to put up a website that would run my customers away. I wanted it to be efficient, to be easy. And Shopify helped me build brown girlgrinding.com out. Once I switched to Shopify, it finally clicked like, okay, I can actually do this. It's not about it being tough, it's about using the right platform to make it easy. Shopify takes all of the guesswork out. I build my own store, I manage my community, own my own customer relationships. Plus, this is my favorite thing. Shopify gets my products everywhere. I'm able to link stuff through Google, YouTube, TikTok, Shop the Shop app, even ChatGPT and Instagram, which is very important for me. And Shopify's AI co founder, sidekick, game changer, let me tell y'. All. Right, so it's helped me not only optimize my site, it helps me look at my sales trends, it updates my product skills. All the stuff I'm absolutely not an expert in. But it's like having a genius business partner that never sleeps. And right now, the Bronco grinding storefront and the Black Effect storefront is busy and Shopify is handling all of the heavy lifting. I love that for us. I am pumped, like so pumped that Shopify is going to show up at the Black Effect Podcast festival this year in a big way. And I will be there preaching this platform to all of the small black owned businesses that partner with us. So if you've been sitting on an idea. Or if you're ready to scale, which you've already started, this is your sign. Go to shopify.com Ben if I can do it, you can do it too.

well y', all, the time has come.
The Hater
Let's get ready to rumble.
Mandy B
We are talking about him.
Jason Rodriguez
Let's do logic over emotions, please. The man, the man, the man.
Mandy B
He is the man. Drake is here to take over the summer. Now y'. All, I predicted this a year ago. I was just a year early. He didn't do last summer. But baby, he's here this summer. He gave us three albums on Friday. He gave us Habidi, which is his R and B. He gave us Iceman. Habibi.
The Hater
Habibti.
Mandy B
Habibti.
The Hater
Yes.
Charlamagne Tha God
Yeah.
Aaron A. King
I mean my dear, in Arizona Y'
Mandy B
all know I just learned halal.
Jason Rodriguez
Let me habib t. How can you pronounce the L?
The Hater
Here we go, here we go, here we go.
Mandy B
He also dropped, of course, Iceman, which was highly anticipated. That was his rap album. And then he also gave us Maid of Honor, which was international sounds and
Jason Rodriguez
tings mud saleswoman boy.
Mandy B
Now I'm not selling it, however.
Jason Rodriguez
No, you ain't gotta sell it, however.
Mandy B
Seeing return purchase off of immediate listen, it has been the only thing I've been playing, actually. Of course I would like to rate my thoughts on these albums real quick. And then. And then I'm gonna pass it to, of course, the hip hop heads and the hater.
The Hater
So gang, gang, gang.
Mandy B
We got Triple H in the building for me. I have been in love with Maid of Honor, which is crazy because I was not an honestly, Nevermind fan.
Charlamagne Tha God
Okay.
Mandy B
Y' all know I wasn't even a Renaissance fan early. I'm not a house uns to un type of girl. But, baby, these songs, I was on the plane and it literally made me like, move in my seat. I love the features popcon. I love the sexy Red right. Her right there. Whatever the fuck.
Jason Rodriguez
Maga.
Aaron A. King
Red, go ahead.
Mandy B
I love. Shut up.
The Hater
We'll get into that too.
Mandy B
I'm obsessed. So much so that I actually made a Drake by playlist.
Jason Rodriguez
Nice.
Mandy B
So I combined.
Jason Rodriguez
You spent time doing that. Nice.
Mandy B
I am also in love. If you guys do not know Gordo, Gordo is. Stop it. He's a DJ. He is a part of 10 records across the three albums. And literally I tweeted before I even knew the credits, I was like, this is giving Gordo now. He has a song called Healing and Sideways that released a couple years ago that I still play today. I love it. Drake, you did your big one. I love it. Go biracials. But no, really like Iceman 2. Love the RB sounds.
Jason Rodriguez
You lost your bet too, by the way.
Mandy B
What bet?
Jason Rodriguez
You said he wasn't gonna diss Kendrick Lamar.
Mandy B
That whole album was about nigga. Okay, I will say the only critique that I do have in terms of Iceman, because he's not really dissing too much on the other albums. But in terms of Iceman, I don't know if I have enough beef to enjoy Iceman right now because God damn, he's just throwing shots after shots after shots. And I realize when I don't like a person, bitch. Out of sight, out of mind, bitch. You're muted, you're unfollowed, you're blocked. Like you just brought Up a bitch's name that like, baby, I don't. I don't. What's a bridge? You know what I mean? Like, what did you.
The Hater
I don't even cross those.
Mandy B
I don't even cross those. You feel me? And so look, listening to Iceman, babe, he was hurt.
The Hater
Oh, he's bothered.
Mandy B
He was mar derosan.
Jason Rodriguez
He broke his spirit.
Mandy B
It was Lebron James. It was Kendrick.
Jason Rodriguez
It was Jay Z and Beyonce.
Mandy B
It was Jay Z and Beyonce.
The Hater
They'll never get over it.
Mandy B
To me, it was like the disses were cool.
Jason Rodriguez
They were cool. Just too late.
Mandy B
But he gives hurt angry on Iceman. Now I'm gonna give it to the hip hop heads. I think I glazed enough.
Jason Rodriguez
I love that for you.
Mandy B
We'll talk it through.
Jason Rodriguez
She actually admitted we got one of the Glazers that actually admit they glazed.
Mandy B
Oh, no, no, no, no, no. My whole Twitter, if you go is nothing but me talking about how much I love Dre. By the way, shout out to low key. Me and low key. When everyone was shitting on maid of honor, we were like, nah, that's the one.
Aaron A. King
I think that's the best of the three on people.
Mandy B
But let's talk about it. What are yalls thoughts? Hip hop heads and hater. Let's get into it.
The Hater
As a hater, I want to go first.
Mandy B
Okay?
The Hater
As a hater, I want to get into the music.
Mandy B
This is the rest of the episode, by the way.
Jason Rodriguez
What set you in right there?
The Hater
Oh, oh, this right here. This ain't nothing. This is just. This is just.
Mandy B
This is just. It looks icy.
The Hater
It's just a little GNX merchandise, you know what I'm saying? Like I said, it's cold. We're in the season. The Iceman is cold. I wanted to make sure I don't catch pneumonia or hunter or hantavirus, you know what I'm saying? Because it should be real. You know, be rat. And so I want to make sure that you know me.
Mandy B
Come on, be a hater. Let's go.
The Hater
So I like. I like. I'll go in order. I like about half of Iceman.
Mandy B
Okay.
The Hater
I specifically, I like all the. Make them records.
Mandy B
Me too.
The Hater
Make them. Make them cry. Make them play. Probably my favorite Whisper my name. There's good records on there. There's records also that I never want to hear again ever. Like, I'm super cool on the Ran to Atlanta song.
Mandy B
Oh, with future, I'm the better.
The Hater
Well, here's what I say. The star of Iceman to me is 40 and all the Producers. Because the music sounds incredible.
Mandy B
It sounds great.
The Hater
All the beats knock. Like, there's some good. Even though it's a little bit too much beat switching.
Mandy B
He does that a lot.
The Hater
A lot of beat switching where I'm like, okay, fine. How many times we gonna do this? But the music sounds really, really good.
Mandy B
Yeah, it does.
Jason Rodriguez
So I think that's the musicality.
The Hater
Yeah. The musicality, Sonically.
Aaron A. King
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
Is doctor in podcast,
Mandy B
doctor in hip hop, doctor in music.
Jason Rodriguez
So, yeah.
The Hater
So there are some songs that I do like on there. The problem is that. And he's rapping really well.
Mandy B
He is.
The Hater
The problem is that he's always gonna be able to find a pocket of flow. Like, he's good at that. But what he's actually saying is too much bitching, it's too much complaining. It's too much whining. It's too much moaning. It's too much. It's too much.
Mandy B
Okay.
The Hater
You did the hard part, six. You waved the white flag. You said, I'm done with this. You said, I don't have nothing else for this. This is some bullshit. Y' all niggas is lying on my name. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You dropped sexy songs for you. You dropped 100 gigs. Now we're back two years later, and you still got more whining, still got more bitching. You put out a song called no New Friends and fake love, like, 12 years ago, and you still complaining about the fact that niggas are fake and niggas did you dirty and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So that part is annoying to me. Cause I'm like, I wanna be able to enjoy the music.
Mandy B
Yeah.
Aaron A. King
Without that bullshit, I feel like that's less his problem and more like your problem, to be honest.
The Hater
You think that he is justified.
Aaron A. King
I think he is justified. So the album is full of agreement, and it is a lot to take throughout. But I also think, like. So I was gonna write about this, I still might like him and Kanye together and say, like, boys will be boys, but, like, these N S is 40. And so it's like this idea. It's like we have different expectations of what we want from them. But also too, like, I think Kanye especially. But now Drake, too. They're playing to, like, their second audience. Like, they were part of their first audience, and now they're playing to their second audience. And for all of that, it's new to them.
The Hater
Right.
Aaron A. King
Like, we've. Like, all the records you named. We've heard those before. We know them before. We, like the first version of them, and we don't want to hear the second version of them. But also, too, it's like, he's been rocking since 2009, right? So it's like, for us, like, we're. We're. I think it's okay when people say, like, oh, I've. I've outgrown Drake, because that's. That's a personal thing. I don't think that's like, an indictment of him. I think for him, it. He has a second audience that now he's paying attention to, that's paying attention to him. Right? Like, it's not like I have this audience and nobody's paying me no mind. Like, that Sofi show in LA that Kanye did, that's a whole younger set of audience that fucked with him. We're probably all out on him, but he jumped on that. And I think. I think Drake is doing the same thing too. I think that's why he be with the strangers.
Mandy B
I agree with you.
Aaron A. King
Yeah. Like, I'm perfectly. I think it's perfectly fine to say, like, I've heard this before. He's done this, like, miss me with that. But I think for him, he's like, well, I have a completely different audience now and they haven't heard it.
The Hater
Well, to your point, I'm keep rocking with them. Like. Like the die hard Drake stands as much as they. Well, there's two parts of it. A, the die hard Drake stands were all day on the Internet talking about. Kendrick is dragging it. Ah, he's doing it at the Super Bowl. Ah, he's doing music videos. He's dragging it. He's dragging it. He's dragging it. Now this nigga's back two years later with an hour and a half worth of dragging it. And everyone's like, yeah, this shit hard. So the audience stands wanted. Whether they admitted or not they wanted a comeback, they wanted retribution. And the only reason you want retribution is because you took an L. No one wants retribution for winning. So, like, that speaks for itself in its own thing. I don't know if I'm ready to say that it's not an indictment of him because he created these expectations.
Mandy B
Not only the expectations. I feel like that's what else the problem is. Everyone is the bad guy. And he's just like, woe is me. Like, you've clearly done shit to like.
Jason Rodriguez
And I don't like how he did Cole.
The Hater
Like, yeah, I didn't like that either.
Charlamagne Tha God
I ain't gonna lie.
Jason Rodriguez
I had my issues with Cole.
Mandy B
I did not like that.
Jason Rodriguez
I just want to.
Aaron A. King
Did he do anything to Cole other than providing context?
Mandy B
He pretty much just said, by the
Aaron A. King
way, I didn't think he was like,
Jason Rodriguez
oh, the married one.
Aaron A. King
I don't think he did him dirty.
The Hater
I don't think he did him dirty. I think he gave Cole. He gave a couple people the kick. He gave him a warning.
Jason Rodriguez
He's like, you lucky. He said he told him he's lucky that he should give him some more.
The Hater
Well, he said flat out. But that's like something basically, I love you. Because he said literally, I love you cause of the history, but I can't forgive you. Which I think is fair. Like if you're Drake. I think that's fair. Like if you don't fuck with Cole no more. Like that's a decision that Cole made for his own. He never called me back. He's got a pussy. I'm not a pussy. But okay, fine.
Mandy B
That is very light skinned, like, behavior. You never called me back, yo. I'm not gonna lie. That's. That's the thing. Some of it was. It's like n. Where is your.
Jason Rodriguez
He had a pattern, though.
Mandy B
He's your dick. Yeah, he definitely did some pussy.
Jason Rodriguez
So that means that when Cole did Port Antonio, Drake wasn't trying to hear that shit.
The Hater
Well, the most ironic part about Port Antonio is that he talks about, if I would have did it, I would have lost two brothers. Well, nigga, you didn't and you lost two brothers.
Mandy B
Well, no, no, no, no. I think him and Kendrick are still very clear.
The Hater
He told Nadeska he has not spoken to Doc.
Jason Rodriguez
Right. But I don't think. I don't know if it's problem.
The Hater
A. I don't know if. I don't know if it's a problem. But he said, I have not talked to Doc.
Mandy B
Well, apparently the nigga not answering his phone. Cause Drake said you didn't pick up.
The Hater
You didn't pick up.
Mandy B
So, I mean, it's weird because you battle.
Jason Rodriguez
He's trying to play damage control, but
Mandy B
again, I think it just goes to show. And maybe that's Drake's problem. He's in this industry where he's not realizing he's in an industry where people aren't really friends. These niggas aren't really your friends.
Jason Rodriguez
He trying to be friends with everybody.
Mandy B
I've learned that. And I've learned that in politics podcasting. Like, these are my peers, but these ain't my friends. And I've overused that word friend a lot, which I think is where you see he's really hurt by Damar and LeBron.
Jason Rodriguez
And I think that he thought he was calling hypocrisy.
Mandy B
What do you mean by that?
Jason Rodriguez
Cause he called out DeMar DeRozan again. And I thought about it. I saw somebody tweet. I was like, wait a minute. Kawhi was at the pop out. How come he don't get no smoke?
Aaron A. King
Maybe they weren't, but I don't think he probably wasn't. Kawhi's not hanging out with Drake, though. Like, you know, I don't think.
The Hater
Yeah, I don't think he's hanging.
Jason Rodriguez
No, he's not.
Mandy B
But, you know, yeah, no, we. We know the. The why they hanging with Drake.
The Hater
But also pretty much Kawhi don't care about the hoes, baby.
Mandy B
But Demar and LeBron care about the hoes. Sorry, Savannah.
Jason Rodriguez
I think he was upset because he put a grown man on his arm. And that grown man.
The Hater
Well, that's how he first did. Yeah. With another man with a Jersey.
Jason Rodriguez
Shy shy from okc shy get.
The Hater
Yes.
Mandy B
Canadian C8 is now on this nigga's body.
Jason Rodriguez
You didn't know. Oh, my Lil Wayne.
Mandy B
But even that. But even that, right? Wayne came out and was like, Drake fucked on one of his girls while
The Hater
he was in jail.
Mandy B
Like, that's my feeling. He forget that's Kenavi, but that's what I'm saying. Drake, you be doing and moving foul. But you don't talk about this. But now everyone is the bad guy. Everyone does you wrong.
Jason Rodriguez
I gotta fix. Well, listen, he need to sit down with Dr. Cheyenne Bryant Bow. I think that's why do a live session.
The Hater
That live session, that shit.
Mandy B
Now. Now you have some lists?
The Hater
I do have some lists. I do have some lists.
Mandy B
Talk to me. What are these lists?
The Hater
So the first list that I would like to go over is the 10 worst lines on Iceman. Because now you pulled.
Mandy B
This is your listen.
The Hater
This is my list. This is me doing this. Because the problem is it's kind of like how people would say, like, I look at Drake rapping, kind of how people look at Rihanna singing.
Jason Rodriguez
Right?
Mandy B
I don't know where you're going.
The Hater
Listen, some people would tell you that Rihanna can't sing. They would tell you fact that she cannot sing. I would say, I think Rihanna voice, the quality of her voice sounds good. I've heard Rihanna sound good on multiple records, that she sounds good. She's not Whitney Houston, she's not Celine Dion, but she sounds good. Drake can rap. He knows how to find a flow. He knows how to find a pocket. Okay, but is he a good rapper? By the standard of who I consider some of the greatest rappers ever? No. And on this Iceman problem. The problem is, is his good rapping is full of some of the corniest lines in the world. Stuff that they bury J. Cole for online. All the J. Cole's corny. And all this about you can't out fart me. And all J. Cole's worst punchlines. Yo, straight's got full of them.
Mandy B
Okay, let's see.
The Hater
So in no particular order, I'm with Noel. Like, I'm Kris Kringle. He says on Burning Bridges.
Mandy B
I'm not mad at
The Hater
a terrible line.
Aaron A. King
Yeah, that's a terrible line.
The Hater
Don't make them pay. I rack up a tab in Chanel because I do buy something. Like, I'm.
Mandy B
I actually like that. I thought he kind of floated with that, but.
Jason Rodriguez
He said floated.
The Hater
But did the bar. Did the bar hit, though? Exactly. Hold on.
Aaron A. King
I think it was a legitimately good ball, mind you.
Mandy B
And you're getting into the rappity rap. They also say that Drake makes music for the hoes.
Jason Rodriguez
No, not Iceman. Wasn't for the hoes.
Mandy B
But me and. Me and yomi really like that. Like.
The Hater
Well, I know, but I want y' all to demand more. I want y' all to expect better of these niggas because they drink a
Jason Rodriguez
lot of cocktails, too. So.
The Hater
Right. A lot of lady water.
Jason Rodriguez
They might have been drinking lady water.
The Hater
Rest of martinis and things.
Mandy B
Three beans.
Jason Rodriguez
Three beans.
Mandy B
All right.
The Hater
This is the one where he really tried it. And I was like, this nigga's really trying us right now. Is it the fair skin or is it the Jewish roots? Why people want to not see me on top of the mountain like I do? The dude. Oh, my God, I love cringe. This nigga try to accuse us of anti Semitism because he's whack.
Jason Rodriguez
Listen.
The Hater
Get the fuck out of here.
Jason Rodriguez
Listen.
Aaron A. King
I think that was just bad. That was a bad one, I don't think. Terrible reason, but it was like. It's toned down at best.
The Hater
It's like, terrible reach.
Mandy B
I'm down.
The Hater
I'm down to put bills on their face. No wonder why they've been ducking Drake.
Jason Rodriguez
First of all.
The Hater
Get it? Bills on their face, ducking Drake. Then he goes, explain. I hate when. Explain the bar. Shut the fuck up. Shut the fuck up. RIP Kobe. But y' all niggas brokey. That's probably why y' all be shacking together.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, that was bad. That was bad. Business.
The Hater
Get the fuck outta here.
Aaron A. King
Not great. Not great.
Mandy B
But also me and Shaq. I get it.
The Hater
Yeah, the words connect to each other, but what the fuck are you talking about? Nigga got nigga better have a bag with a pipe like they come from a Scottish home.
Mandy B
Oh, like bagpipes. I love it.
The Hater
Go to hell. Go to hell with that line. Speak on me and gain a lot. Just like the dish detergent.
Mandy B
Oh, no.
The Hater
Go to hell, go to hell, go to hell, go to hell, go to hell. That was horrible. The whole entire.
Mandy B
Wait, he said that? For real?
The Hater
Yes. On Little Birdie, where he raps like caribou. He started rapping like caribou. I ain't gonna lie. I dumbass. The whole entire song of plot twists. Nigga, you not twisting nothing. You're not doing your fingers in no sense.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, they dropped the video last night.
The Hater
You're not doing none of that. Shut the up. I hate. I like Drake with the metal.
Jason Rodriguez
Drake become a gang.
The Hater
When did he become a gang member? Like, shut the up. Gotta be around.
Jason Rodriguez
When did he become a gang member?
The Hater
I'm a hockey coach.
Mandy B
Wait, say that one again.
The Hater
Gotta be. He calls himself Ice now. He gave himself a new name, like Big Ellie.
Mandy B
Who.
The Hater
No one's ever called him Ice before. But fine, his name is Ice now. Gotta be around Ice with the sticks. Like, I'm a hockey coach. Go to hell.
Jason Rodriguez
Tomato, tomato, tomato.
The Hater
Go to hell, Go to hell, go to hell. Where's my other one?
Aaron A. King
That.
The Hater
He had some dumbass. Oh. Oh, this the one checks. This one is for you. Check signing is my kink pushing out ink. I feel like a squid.
Jason Rodriguez
That's it.
The Hater
That's it. That's it.
Jason Rodriguez
Wait, wait, hold on, hold on.
Mandy B
Wait.
Jason Rodriguez
He said the squid push out.
The Hater
Tech signing is my kink pushing out ink. I feel like I'm a squid. Y' all are gonna. This is your king. This is the nigga who you telling me is the new Jay Z.
Mandy B
Okay, perfect.
The Hater
This is the nigga that you telling me.
Jason Rodriguez
I can't wait for you.
Mandy B
Not everyone can be perfect.
The Hater
Oh, you don't say.
Mandy B
Yeah, no, we.
The Hater
Good luck.
Jason Rodriguez
Good luck. Yeah, that's gonna be. That's gonna be hard to do that.
The Hater
Good luck with that.
Mandy B
Yogi just said we have to compile the worst lines that Kendrick has written.
Sponsor Voice
Please.
The Hater
Cause Kendrick, you can do that.
Aaron A. King
That's easy to do.
Mandy B
That's easy to.
The Hater
And I'm not doing this.
Aaron A. King
Like, I'm not doing this corny. Like, I'm picking Drake and I'm not picking Kendrick. I'M picking both of them, but I think it's easy.
The Hater
I would love to hear, especially if
Aaron A. King
you put out three albums, it's easy to do that. It's like with basketball highlights. You can pick all LeBron James worst basketball highlights. Doesn't mean he's not ill. These are legitimately really bad bars.
The Hater
But I feel like he presses the ass corny punchlines in this in a way that he has not and I've ever heard him go this hard with like. So like Wayne used to, like in his prime, Wayne used to like reach a little bit, but he was able to kind of get it off. Yeah, these are like. Some of these are egregious as.
Mandy B
As hip hop heads. Jason A.
Aaron A. King
King.
Mandy B
What are yalls, like, takes on all three projects and him dropping three projects, clearly. I'm assuming it was to get out of his Universal deal.
Aaron A. King
The get out of the deal thing, that's tough if Prince tried to do that. And there's usually clauses about like how, like, soon you can drop projects to get out. My guess is it might be some, like, post settlement negotiation that has to do with that album. I don't think it's just as easy as, I dropped three and I'm out.
The Hater
Because Universal agreed to that. I guess they wouldn't agree.
Mandy B
Well, apparently that's why there weren't credits.
The Hater
But here's the thing.
Mandy B
Those were a surprise to Universal.
Jason Rodriguez
But here's the thing, and none of
Aaron A. King
it will be a surprise. None of us, after the Frank Ocean thing, none of it's going to be a surprise.
Mandy B
Okay?
Jason Rodriguez
We weren't in these negotiations. I hate when Twitter, social media always want to talk contract talk as if we was in, we weren't there. If it happens, and then we can get some. Some context.
Mandy B
But I just want to say, Janice, you fucked up. Whatever you do. No, they found who Janice was.
The Hater
But I was wondering, is that the
Mandy B
real Janice or brand partnerships at umg?
The Hater
I was wondering if that is the actual Janice or not, because they put
Aaron A. King
that lady on and I'm like, if
The Hater
this isn't the real Janice, you were doing her. So turn.
Mandy B
Will the real Janice please stand up? God damn, this is wheezy.
Wheezy
Wtf? From Decisions, Decisions. You know, a lot of us grew up not fully trusting the healthcare system. So know your options, ask questions, and protect your peace and your body. That's real power. Because protecting yourself isn't embarrassing, it's responsible. Sex is normal. Protecting yourself should be normal too. Actually, it's kind of badass. Taking control of your sexual health is grown woman energy. Sponsored by Care for the Culture from Gilead Sciences Peace to the Planet Charlamagne

what were yalls overall thoughts on the on the album.
Aaron A. King
So I think like rap discourse is so hard to have now because people will say like they don't like. And I'm not saying this about Ja just because you brought it up, but it's like people say like I don't like Drake stance and so then they'll influence that on the way they feel about the album.
Jason Rodriguez
Right?
Aaron A. King
Or like Drake is corny. Drake. Drake said he was corny in 2009. Right? So he every album, even the ones you think are classics or the mixtape you think are classic, he always has those kind of moments. I don't. I think there's a lot of like good execution across all three albums. I think Made of Honor is probably the best. Yep. In Iceman he's rapping, right? Like he's, he's rapping his ass off. There's just so much aggrievement throughout it that sometimes it's it's hard kind of to listen to it all. Like what. What did I miss? Was like perfect. He could have just had that sort of like the double entendre of like still being like confident but also like the, the wounded. Like did I Miss something. He could have just had that and not have the rest of them. But despite that, you know, I think there's a lot of good records on there. I think there's a lot of good execution. I'm, I'm. I. I really do think it's kind of for his, like, younger set of audience. Those Drake stands that we're talking about who are keeping for him in the comments, I imagine those people are all under 30. Those aren't the people who've been listening to him. Hey, I'm 35, since 2009. You know what I mean?
Mandy B
So I've been listening since 09 and I like it.
Aaron A. King
Yeah, but, but, but it's, it's, it's, it's quality. It's quality music. Some of it is, like, the timing, like, and he never really, like, took his chill from it. Then he's dropping it, like two years to the month of when, like, all the records about him, like, I think a lot of it is, like, Drake appears to be, like, really tone deaf on most things, but his talent, to me, I think it still remains there. It's just, it's hard not to separate, like, the standom, the packaging, how you released it, Iceman, the streamer stuff and everything. Like, that really makes it hard to kind of like, just listen to the music and have, like, music discourse. But if I separated all that, I do think it's good music. I think he's sort of as good as he's ever been. It's just for some people like us who've listened forever, we've probably heard a lot of versions of these records before.
Mandy B
What about you A King?
Jason Rodriguez
I think he's rating it. I thought you're reading.
Aaron A. King
Oh, I mean, are we doing ratings?
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, I did. Oh, no. Yeah, so.
Mandy B
Because it's across the board for me.
The Hater
So.
Jason Rodriguez
Look, I'm not. Look, I, I don't like. So I've always said this about even going back to the Jay Z and Nas thing. I don't like the antics shit. Like, if you say you the best, prove it, right? I watched the. Cause I watched episode one, two, three, I think the last time we recorded. I don't think y' all was aware about that. He dropped episodes.
Aaron A. King
The streaming.
The Hater
Iceman, like, building. Yeah, he's building up promo stuff.
Jason Rodriguez
So I watched episode four, real time with the videos and everything, and I was like, damn, this dude is like, to your point, the musicality was dope, but he just kept. And I'm like, now if he start this shit up again, now what is everybody gonna start complaining about the end result of that? You know what I'm saying?
The Hater
I think he's gonna be. I don't think this gets a response.
Jason Rodriguez
I think Jay Z's gonna respond.
The Hater
Oh, he might.
Mandy B
You think Jay responds?
Jason Rodriguez
Yes, I think he will.
Aaron A. King
I think Jay will respond in an interview before he does it in a song.
Jason Rodriguez
I really do.
Mandy B
We know where the beef it lies with the Drake.
The Hater
Really? I mean, I could just assume. Yeah, yeah.
Mandy B
He declined Super Bowl. Drake did.
Jason Rodriguez
We don't know that.
Mandy B
Didn't he say he.
Aaron A. King
Nah, Elliot. Elliot confirmed it.
Mandy B
Elliot confirmed it.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, he did? Okay. Yeah.
Aaron A. King
Yeah.
Mandy B
That he got the offer and he declined it at the time.
Aaron A. King
Yeah, I think. I think previously. Previously.
Jason Rodriguez
Right. No, I don't. I think their thing happened years ago.
The Hater
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
I don't think it had nothing to do with now.
The Hater
But they've had a back and forth. Like, they've had a. They've had a backup come together.
Jason Rodriguez
I mean, Jay Z did the freestyle. Sorry, Miss Drizzy.
The Hater
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
When Drake said that he didn't like his art. His art collection or some shit like
Mandy B
that, all I know is they on Twitter broke down the music video that he just dropped where it looks like Beyonce has the diamond ankle monitor and it's all, like, the themes are around her music videos and lemonade.
Jason Rodriguez
Like, you on lockdown, you know? Come, let me get that bussy. That's what he. That's what he's saying. He's being disrespectful again.
Aaron A. King
That's what he's saying.
The Hater
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
If HOV does say something, which I firmly believe, he got a May 30 at Roots Picnic. If we looking at traditional HOV, he not gonna just do those songs. And that's it. He's gonna give.
The Hater
Oh, you have a little freestyle.
Jason Rodriguez
He gonna give us an acapella.
The Hater
Yeah, acapella.
Jason Rodriguez
And then he's gonna take a. That's his.
Mandy B
You think he does a shot at Roots or at Yankee. Yankee Stadium?
Jason Rodriguez
That's the thing.
The Hater
I don't know, because Roots is first.
Jason Rodriguez
He might give you a snippet of something at Roots and give you the
The Hater
whole load at Yankee Stadium.
Mandy B
Yeah, you gonna take the whole load.
Aaron A. King
The whole load.
Jason Rodriguez
But hold on. But no, I thought that after I listened to it, I listened to Maid of Honor Habibti, Habibti. Habibti Habibti. That was my favorite out of the three.
Mandy B
Oh, classic is a classic.
Jason Rodriguez
And the reason why that's my favorite out of the three. I felt that was quintessential Drake.
Mandy B
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
You know, for the host. Allowing a safe space for men to pander to women, you know what I mean? And be.
The Hater
But that's part of what, like, we loved about Drake from the beginning.
Jason Rodriguez
That was big spoon, little spoon music, you know what I'm saying? And I fucked with that.
Mandy B
I love being the big spoon
The Hater
with that tentacle.
Mandy B
Wait, chill.
Jason Rodriguez
She gonna eat a big spoo with a dude 6:2. But nah. Overall, I think I could have.
The Hater
She's stupid.
Jason Rodriguez
I could have did away with Iceman, but I expected it. I did expect him to do that. I told man that he was going to do this. Now. I didn't think he was gonna do the whole album. You know, I knew he had some shit to get off or whatever. But also, you did the hard part, six. So it had been cool to just. You get it back in your bag, maybe usher in some new Toronto talent, something. You know what I mean? I didn't get that. So. So aside from all the antics, which I don't believe, I don't think he cares enough about the cultural impact versus the streaming and the numbers and the fuddy duddiness of it. I think he really cares about that now at this point because he's around people around him that be feeding him.
The Hater
You gotta do this.
Jason Rodriguez
Think about all the people he's with now. Right. So I don't know if I would rate it, but Habibty was my favorite out of the three on Habiti. I. I don't know. I didn't. I didn't.
The Hater
You didn't take.
Jason Rodriguez
It was all sequential when for episode.
Mandy B
Any standouts as well? The. The woman with no mic is asking which.
The Hater
Which the.
Jason Rodriguez
Discord said that you need to mic up.
Mandy B
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
So just so you know, Discord say,
Mandy B
yomi need a mic, bruh.
Jason Rodriguez
Any standout cuts? I'm trying to. I saw Timbaland post that. Oh, Janice, shut the fuck up. Was gonna be the one. I don't know if I agree with that.
The Hater
He called it timeless.
Aaron A. King
I don't even know.
The Hater
I thought it was an interesting way to phrase.
Jason Rodriguez
We talking about the AI producer.
The Hater
I like the song, but I don't. I don't know. Timeless is. But whatever. I mean, he's been wrong a lot.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah.
Mandy B
Timbaland.
Aaron A. King
He's been wrong a lot.
Jason Rodriguez
He's been wrong a lot.
Mandy B
Timbaland is. Is he okay?
The Hater
I'm not sure. I actually don't know.
Mandy B
The last couple years.
The Hater
It's weird.
Mandy B
It's getting weird.
Jason Rodriguez
It's getting a little weird.
Aaron A. King
Getting a Little weird.
Jason Rodriguez
We talk about Timberland. We always think about, well, for me, Pharrell right through proximity, at least Pharrell. I mean, Pharrell says some stuff politically that we don't agree with, right? Or lack thereof. But at least we get music. Like, we have more recent data to say, oh, Pharrell is hot.
The Hater
He still has his.
Jason Rodriguez
He can say whatever you want about music.
Mandy B
He's leaning into the data. All right. No, but.
Jason Rodriguez
But, yeah, but he ain't. That shit ain't.
Mandy B
Yeah, no.
The Hater
Yeah.
Aaron A. King
No, man. You know what I'm afraid of? I'm afraid of getting old and being weird. Like, 10%.
The Hater
That's a fear. That's the fear that you get older
Aaron A. King
and they just get weird. And I'm like, oh, my God.
Jason Rodriguez
That's a good fear.
Mandy B
You're getting older than me.
Aaron A. King
You are not weird, but you gotta have. That's a high compliment.
Jason Rodriguez
But this is why this podcast in particular is dope. Because, like, I always tell people, like, we're friends, right?
Mandy B
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah. And if we see each other do some weird shit, not recording or whatever, like, yo, nigga, what you doing over here? Yeah, we can talk to each other. Yo, Mandy, you wilding out.
The Hater
Yo.
Jason Rodriguez
Yo, me, you good. Yo, Jay, why you got that Philly hat on like that?
The Hater
You know what I'm saying?
Jason Rodriguez
That's weird, you know?
The Hater
So, yeah, she getting crazy.
Jason Rodriguez
Like, we hold each other accountable. So it'll be weird. We won't be weird.
Mandy B
I love it. Overall, I'm glad that it's. It's seemingly about to be a good
The Hater
summer of music, so I would like to say some nice things.
Mandy B
There we go. End with you, the haters.
The Hater
The hater will say some nice things. So first thing I'll say is that it is funny that when Drake was dissing everybody in Family Matters, he has this line about the Weeknd, about, now they only play your music where the boys got a little more pride. And then I listened to Maid of Honor, and I'm like, all the boys with pride are gonna love this shit. Like, are you kidding me? You listen to Beyonce Renaissance and then you made a hymnisance. Like, that's how I see. That's how I see maid of honor. But I will say this about this album. Good vibes on there.
Mandy B
Yeah.
The Hater
But particular, the three song run from amazing shape. Bbw. True bestie.
Mandy B
Oh, my God, that's a.
The Hater
That's a tough three songs.
Mandy B
And then can I tell you what else I love? The fucking interlude.
The Hater
The interlude. The. Where's my. Where's Your stuff? Where's your stuff?
Mandy B
Yeah, you already know Bitch, you're married but where your bag?
The Hater
Where's your trips?
Mandy B
Where's your tricks?
The Hater
Babe, you get a push?
Mandy B
Did you get a push? Trust.
The Hater
It's very.
Mandy B
I love it.
The Hater
Yeah, this is a very Duck Lip album. Like, this is like Drake. Duck lips. Full duck lips. Like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Very, very sassy Drake. But those. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. This is very. This right here. But those three songs is a super, super tough three songs. I love those three records. Like, in just that, that sequence right there. I also have another list, okay. I have a list of the five best lyrics.
Mandy B
I love it. Give me the five best lyrics from
The Hater
Iceman or make them remember. He used talking. He said. I forget the line. He said it before that, but he said, you should be in a pack with some rats like Dean Martin.
Aaron A. King
Martin.
The Hater
I like that one. I could get down.
Aaron A. King
I thought that was a grown one. I thought that would be on the worst list.
The Hater
No, I don't think that one's bad at all.
Aaron A. King
I feel like I've heard a variation of that one.
Mandy B
I was about to say. I feel like I've heard that.
The Hater
I'm sure people have said that before because it wasn't that hard to put together, but as a line, I can accept that as a line. The funniest thing he said was, I'm at the Bulgarian Turkey with my bitch, and we ain't here for no big teeth. That shit actually made me laugh out. I just see niggas going to Turkey, getting hair and getting some big consequences.
Mandy B
Chompers.
Jason Rodriguez
You assigned him to that?
Aaron A. King
Damn.
Mandy B
No, no, no.
Jason Rodriguez
Did he go to Turkey?
The Hater
I don't know where he went, but maybe. Who knows? But I laughed out loud at that, like, in a real way.
Mandy B
Yeah, well, just because you said that. By the way, y' all be mean in the comments. You know, our Drake critique is going up quite a bit. Somebody said I look like a thumb with.
Wheezy
With.
Mandy B
With teeth, and now I can't unsee it. A thumb with teeth.
The Hater
Yo, what are we doing? The Roast of Mandy B.
Mandy B
You bring it up to teachers.
The Hater
Now. The. The one. This. Now, see, here is the. Here is the.
Mandy B
It's.
The Hater
It's still a little bit sus because of the messenger, but this is probably the best thing that he said on the entire three albums. And Khaled, you know what I mean? The beef was fully live, and you went halal and got on your dean, and your people are still waiting on a free Palestine. I guess everything ain't Red, black and green.
Mandy B
Green. He ate that.
The Hater
Now, I was like, that's the kick that Khaled deserves. Now, the problem is that, like, bring it up. Drake, like, what? Like, I know he signed a little letter that everyone wrote about end the violence and whatever, whatever. But Drake, like, you don't really stand.
Mandy B
You're not a political.
Jason Rodriguez
You never said Free Palestine.
The Hater
So the idea that, like, you could come in and admonish this man, which he deserves, like, he fully deserves it. But I just never would have thought that the first rapper who would really hold the task on record would be this nigga. Like, that was the crazy.
Jason Rodriguez
But you know what's so crazy? Khed messed up bad. Because Drake is what?
The Hater
Exactly.
Mandy B
Yeah. No, no, did you see?
Aaron A. King
Did you see? Did you see Cali get pressed by the streamer?
The Hater
Yeah, I did, I did, I did. Black streamer corner, everybody. No, he did say, free Palestine, all people, and stepped out the room. I was like, ah, another look at him.
Mandy B
Oh, wow.
Jason Rodriguez
But again, he was DJ Arab attack. Right? This is before 9 11. Right before 911 happens. He changed and you start getting.
Aaron A. King
That was his producer tag.
The Hater
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
We started talking about this stuff a while ago. It's like when you start getting money from receiving old money, you act accordingly. Old money don't care about no culture. Old money care about, hey, return on investment. We're all funding you. We keep hollering at you. You just stay in line and that's what they have to do.
Aaron A. King
I don't even think it's that. I think he's just inarticulate, embarrassed. Doesn't know himself, doesn't know his people. I don't even think it's some, like, big conspiracy. I think he's just a goof and doesn't know anything about his culture.
Jason Rodriguez
Isn't his wife Middle Eastern as well?
The Hater
Yeah, I think.
Aaron A. King
Yeah. From the Bronx. Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
I just don't. I don't know.
The Hater
There is a line also that. This isn't necessarily a great line, but it reminded me of. Actually reminded me of you. Not this way.
Jason Rodriguez
Cobra crack.
Mandy B
Where are we going?
Jason Rodriguez
She was in the movie.
The Hater
There's a line that he said that reminded me of the first time that you and I met. And I don't even know if you remember this.
Mandy B
Let me. Okay, hold on.
The Hater
He said, I remember Ravioli and Serafina. I was at the Dream Hotel before. I was in the Loop like a carabiner. Now, the line is a little corny, but one of the first time, not the first time I came up to New York. But one of the times I came up to New York, when I first started working for bossip, I don't even know what I was there for. I think I was just there to shake hands and kiss babies. And I remember I hit you, and I was like, yo, let's go to lunch or do something. And I was staying at the Dream Hotel. And I was like, oh, Seraphina's right downstairs down there.
Mandy B
That is.
The Hater
Yeah, yeah. And that's the first place that we met and had lunch. And I was like, okay.
Mandy B
By the way, really bad Italian.
The Hater
Yeah, they're not. Yeah, it's not. When he said, I remember rapping Olive Garden better. Yeah,
Jason Rodriguez
I always. I always see it. And I'm. I'm curious, but overpriced.
The Hater
It's very. Just like, regular middle of the road type of. But it did like. Oh, that reminded me of man history. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I like the line where he said, I done got my inside arenas, like Gilbert Arena. That shit was even though, like, stop with the gun talk. But I thought that was, like, that was a cool line. I was okay with it.
Mandy B
I'm not mad at it.
The Hater
I'm not mad at it.
Mandy B
I'm not mad at Drake at all.
Jason Rodriguez
He's still suing and dissing.
Mandy B
I don't give a fuck. He's taking over the summer. Let's go, Drake.
The Hater
There is a line that I want to ask y' all about, though, just to see how y' all felt about it.
Jason Rodriguez
You do know there's other releases happening? All right, this year?
The Hater
Oh, yeah, this year.
Jason Rodriguez
Just be careful.
The Hater
So Kendrick called the Man a master manipulator multiple times. And he says. And Drake says, this line, I forget what song it was. I think it might have been Make Them Pay or Make Them Remember one of them. But he says, I put the man in manipulation when I pay your rent, and that's an obligation to our attachment. Then I sprinkle in a little Mercedes in fashion. So, like, he's talking actively about. I'm not just, like, tricking on you. I'm spending his money on you because I want control of this situation.
Mandy B
I do also wanna say there is a line in there, too, and I'm not sure which song it is, but he uses the word grooming. Yeah.
The Hater
Peto bars selling all week, and y' all talking about who's grooming who, who's grooming who.
Mandy B
Yep. I don't know, y'. All. It was just good. All of it's good. All of it's great. I enjoy it. I like it. I like it a lot.
Jason Rodriguez
Views and opinions. The views and opinions of Mandy B and Mandy Bs, only Mandy B and Yomi.
Mandy B
Let's sit with the album for at least a month. Let's see how it sounds outside. And let's revisit in a month. Because I do think that it's probably
The Hater
gonna be more great outside.
Mandy B
It's gonna flood. It's gonna flood too hard for the
The Hater
radio and all these type of records. Like, is it? Oh, yeah, okay.
Jason Rodriguez
See, I don't know about that.
Mandy B
We'll come back in a month.
Jason Rodriguez
I know what I'm seeing on Twitter. They've been putting the GNX vocals over. Oh, over the totally different beats and stuff. And they say fixed.
Mandy B
Yeah, your algorithm's different than mine, babe.
The Hater
The DJs are gonna play these rap.
Mandy B
Yeah, no, the DJs are gonna play the records, too. Overall, if you haven't gotten into it, get the fuck into it. Cause boo is cute. Anyways, this was a good episode, guys. Good, good, good conversation.
The Hater
I didn't even hate too hard. I kept my hate.
Mandy B
I was very shocked.
The Hater
That's reasonable hate. I'm fair.
Mandy B
Reasonable hate.
The Hater
I'm fair. I'm a hater, but I'm fair.
Mandy B
Well, y', all, we had the hip hop heads. We had the hater and the Glazer.
Jason Rodriguez
I don't like how she said it. You're not hip hop fan.
The Hater
It sounds like a pejorative.
Mandy B
First off, it sounds like.
Jason Rodriguez
It sounds like.
Mandy B
