Mandy B
Hey guys. Welcome to another episode of Selective Ignorance. However, before we get to this week's episode, I wanna remind you guys to purchase my book, no Holds Barred, a dual manifesto of sexual exploration and power. So feel free to go to your local bookstores, preferably queer owned, black owned or woman owned, to support them, but also just click the button on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, or wherever you read your books. Again, that is note holds Barred, a dual manifesto of sexual exploration and power written by yours truly and my co host of the Decisions Decisions podcast, Wheezy. Make sure y' all get that. Now let's get to this week's episode. This is Mandy B. Welcome to Selective Ignorance, a production of the Black Effect podcast network and iHeartRadio. Welcome, welcome. Welcome to another episode of Selective Ignorance with me, your host, Mandy B. And baby, we are getting into all of the things that have the Internet buzzing this week. Up first, I have somewhat of an ignorant take about Daphne Joy, who recently sat with with streamer academics and continues to go on her run, her promo run of I assume her onlyfans. We'll get into all these things. He's a streamer.
A King
He is.
Mandy B
He is a streamer.
A King
I love to double down a bit.
Mandy B
Then we're getting into this is America in our politics portion. The Carmelo Anthony trial is set to take place in Texas where none of the 12 jurors or six alternates are alternates are of color. So in a case like this, is an all non black jury automatically unfair? If you're unfamiliar with the case, we're getting into that. Also, a YouTube couple receives backlash for terminating a pregnancy for a child that they know had down syndrome. The conversation is if you agree or disagree that you should have the option to terminate a child if they will not be quote unquote healthy. Then as celebrities say the darnest things, Lil Boosie done got on God damn our Internet once again to say that trans are not allowed at his pool party. And Waka Flocka explains why he chooses Trump over Kamala. And I said Kamala like that on purpose because that's how he said it. And I'm so pissed with everyone saying it wrong. They just can't let it go. Comma, lama, comma, love.
CJ Toledano
Very simple.
Mandy B
Then of course, this is not a sports podcast.
A King
But.
Mandy B
But we have to talk about the Knicks. So we're getting into all of these things. Don't go anywhere. We got a lot to say. And Aking believes this may be our last Podcast because there are a lot of ignorant thoughts coming our way. But first up, let me introduce my super producer. And y', all, we got the Puerto Rican journalism, Jason in the motherfucking building.
Jason Rodriguez
Hi, man, I'm still here. I'm still here.
Mandy B
I know. I'm gonna see you in the morning, babes.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, look at that show crossovers right there.
Mandy B
Hello.
Jason Rodriguez
Hello.
Mandy B
By the time you are listening to this, you may be able to catch me live on Hot 97 with my guys, Mero, Kaz, all the. All the crew up there. I'm excited. It's been fun. It's been fun.
Jason Rodriguez
By the way, your second. Your second appearance since we took over our run.
Mandy B
No, I'm excited. I'm excited. But also I'm. Y' all missed him last week, but I get a text message from freaking Jason, like, hey, sorry, not gonna make it. Last minute interview with Mandami. Excuse me.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, yeah, that was wild. Yeah, he even got his own, like, presidential caller. Well, not presidential, mayoral caller ID that pops up on the phone. But that was a good one. He's the one who said Nixon for inshallah. We've been playing that.
CJ Toledano
Oh, so y' all got an interview with Mayor Mom Donnie. Is that why Rosenberg was salty?
A King
Who's that?
Mandy B
Because y' all look the way. Not who, who. Not who. Who's that? Well, y' all know I got the OG pot legend a king next to me, Nick Dallas.
A King
One game at a time, y'.
CJ Toledano
All.
A King
One game at a time.
CJ Toledano
Oh, now it's one game at a time.
A King
It's always been one game.
Mandy B
I can't.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, you see the humility, the way y' all acting? I can't tell you.
A King
Listen, I love how the non Knicks fans, y' all the ones that spiraling, the Knicks fans are just having fun. We enjoying the moment. The country's stressed out, and we trying to give y' all some of this freedom. You know what I mean? We try to give expression freedom.
Mandy B
Okay.
A King
You know, shout out to New York. New York City is a buzz. The vibes is immaculate and is. And. And I love it, man. And by the time y' all hear this episode, we shall see.
Jason Rodriguez
You think you're gonna say it.
A King
The events that happened, you know, do
Mandy B
you think you're 30 right now?
A King
Do I think I'm. Yes, I do think that we're gonna be 30 by the time this episode drops.
Mandy B
Okay. By the way, we're recording this on Monday.
A King
I also think there's a scenario that exists that some wild shit may Happen. And we may not even get to halftime.
Mandy B
Damn.
A King
Because you're number 47.
Jason Rodriguez
Don't do that in attendance.
A King
I said, well, number four.
Mandy B
Yo, you gotta chill. You gotta chill.
A King
You didn't vote for.
Mandy B
I didn't vote for no orange Cheeto.
A King
Okay, I know you're Floridian, and based
CJ Toledano
on the trend, Florida woman on deck.
Mandy B
That's crazy.
A King
But I will say, you never had a white boyfriend, so you ever.
Mandy B
In my life.
A King
You don't vote like him.
Mandy B
And you know that. I actually still stay as a registered voter in the state of Florida because they need my vote.
A King
Are you a Democrat?
CJ Toledano
That's not to be in your business.
Mandy B
I mean, that's how I vote. Majority. Like, I've never voted anything else. I got to vote for the first Obama when he went. I voted for Obama twice. I did vote for Biden, and then I voted for Kamala.
CJ Toledano
Is your girl Kamala?
A King
Kamala.
Mandy B
No, it's Kamala.
A King
Okay.
Mandy B
Kamala is the wrong way.
A King
Yo, I hate when people do that.
Mandy B
That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. And then, y', all, we have king of headlines, Jason Jolly.
CJ Toledano
What up, what up, what up, Pop Blessing all the yap niggas.
A King
How's everybody feeling?
CJ Toledano
Oh, yeah, we gonna do some yapping.
Mandy B
Ooh, yapping today.
CJ Toledano
There's a lot to yap about.
A King
You know, I went down a rabbit hole of your. His correspondence with cnn. No, with. What should I do?
Mandy B
Oh, you talking about Isaac with the big bald head?
CJ Toledano
Bowl, baby.
A King
Yeah, there you go. Let's do that. Cause I'm not. But I didn't realize it was more than two or three. No, yo, it was like, pages.
Mandy B
Hold on. So I'm not gonna lie.
A King
No, it got to a point where he. I'mma see you outside.
Mandy B
I'm not gonna lie, Josh.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, I said, yeah, we all.
Mandy B
A friend of mine hit me up on a side. And, you know, we were having the conversation about the discourse in the comment section because, boy, do you like going at people. And I'm here for it because so do I. But it's people that.
A King
Wait a minute.
Mandy B
We know. And so the consensus was that you took it low first.
CJ Toledano
With who?
Mandy B
With Isaac.
CJ Toledano
He's the one that he responded first with the whole.
A King
Nah, I disagree. And I'm not even being biased. I saw exactly what triggered him, what we should have expected, because that's the key.
CJ Toledano
Listen, I knew soon as we did that that he was gonna pop up in the comments. That was a fact. He attacked his Legacy.
Mandy B
Okay.
CJ Toledano
Before we even get to that, though, his first comment.
Mandy B
Wait, backstory for the listeners. Y' all know our clips get the people going in the comments because it's the discourse on the Internet. That's why we have these conversations. Sure.
A King
Y' all expect it now. They expect it.
CJ Toledano
They do. They expect it. They know what it.
Mandy B
Isaac Hayes. Shout out to GP Fan Base.
CJ Toledano
Shout out, GP Shout out GP
Mandy B
Isaac Hayes, who's the founder of Fan Base and the kin to Isaac Hayes Sr. Isaac Hayes Senior.
A King
Yes.
Mandy B
Jumped in the comments. And for weeks, y' all were going back and forth. I saw the comments back and forth.
CJ Toledano
It was like two days. It was like a day or two. It was. I don't know.
Mandy B
It was like four days.
CJ Toledano
Was it. I feel like I responded in real time and then I kept it moving. Maybe there was a day after. I don't remember the whole breakdown.
A King
The length of the back and forth was equivalent to three weeks.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, it was.
A King
Cause I'm looking up now. You click open more or some shit. I'm like, dang.
CJ Toledano
More replies.
A King
I ain't gonna lie. I was invested. I was like, ooh, ooh, ooh.
CJ Toledano
Nah. My thing with him was like, his first, like, novel that he wrote in the comment section was about, oh, you know, I see why people. People don't really hate Drake. They just hate his success and they wanna be him and all this other shit. And people hate winners, and they always try to bring down winners.
Jason Rodriguez
I' and this was in response to the clip about worst Drake bars.
CJ Toledano
About worst Drake bar. Right. So you're doing all.
Jason Rodriguez
But we also included. You also included good Drake bars to
CJ Toledano
be in the episode.
Mandy B
Yeah, yeah.
A King
I keep telling people over and over, I'm like, yo, y' all are just so.
CJ Toledano
They don't. But, you know, they're not. They don't. They're gonna respond to what they see.
A King
For sure.
CJ Toledano
If you want to know the whole context, listen to the episode.
Mandy B
Listen to the episode.
CJ Toledano
But you know that these are not gonna do that because some of them are just invested in what they're invested in. In the moment. Yeah, but my thing is, like, you're doing all of this over Drake bars. Over Drake. Drake bars is corny, but that's what he does. So now I don't know what that person's definition of low is. Now, I did say his first comment was, stop hating. My reply was, stop standing for that, man.
A King
That's fair.
CJ Toledano
Now, if people think that calling him a stand is too low, that's how I see him. I see you as a stand. You act like the barbs.
Mandy B
See, so that's what I was gonna ask you.
CJ Toledano
Wait. Calling somebody a stand is low as men.
Mandy B
Like there's fan. But like, if you call a man a stand for another man, it's gonna
CJ Toledano
sting a little bit.
Mandy B
That's a little. That's a little saucy, right?
CJ Toledano
Yeah, but. Yeah, but that's.
Jason Rodriguez
But okay, it's wild saucy,
CJ Toledano
but I'm not pulling that out of nowhere. Since day one of the battle, this nigga has thousands and thousands and thousands of posts about Drake. If you look at his page right now, I bet he has two already this morning.
A King
I gotta. I gotta.
CJ Toledano
About Drake and something about Dr. That's very intentional. Of course it is.
A King
He wants Drake to buy the fan base.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, of course he does. Of course he does. He'll never say that out loud, but I'm sure he would love for that thing to be sponsored by ovo. Have Drake just shoot him a bunch of bricks.
A King
Cause look at the metrics.
CJ Toledano
And the shit blows. Now it's Drake attached to it. Like, I'm sure that's part of his strategy. Cause no grown sane man is tweeting about any rapper or any artist this often to defend the academics.
A King
That's crazy how academics is academics is
CJ Toledano
academics getting paid to do that.
A King
But ACT is a faithful. He's a loyal loyalist and he's a streamer. And I think that's his audience. And I think the equation is he's like, damn, ACT got the chain. He has access. If I just do a little bit more, maybe I, you know, and I have a product that I need. He was trying to get celebrities and entertainers to support it early on.
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host

Theo Henderson
Mainstream media is full of cruel depictions of the unhoused. Stories that shame and blame and paint the unhoused as a monolith. We the unhoused is the podcast that's Changing that. I'm Theo Henderson, creator and host, and for years I've created a space where the unhoused and their advocates can tell their own stories. In the last few months alone, I've interviewed unhoused parents, immigrants, mutual aid organizers, veterans, the LGBTQTIA community, and the policymakers who make the laws that impact the unhoused existence. We in House is a two time Webby and Signal award winning show with many exciting guests on the horizon. Tune in this week for my interview with Dr. Jill Wicheric, a street doctor turned influencer whose work with the unhoused community has made a huge impact online and in her community. Listen to we the unhoused on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
Keith Giamanca seemed like a mild mannered suburban dad, but secretly he became someone else. A master of disguise who went on a crime spree. At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea? It seemed very crazy, but I felt so desperate that I felt it was
A King
the quickest, easiest way out.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong and what that might look like?
Mandy B
No, I didn't want to manifest that.
Jason Rodriguez
I was trying to manifest success.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
Every family has its secrets. But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
Mandy B
That is not the look of an innocent man. This is going to change my life
A King
and my family dynamics and forever.
Mandy B
Because everything that had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
Listen to Deep Cover the Family man on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Drink Champs Host
June is Black Music Month, and on the Drink Champs podcast, we're speaking with the hottest names in the culture, like Swae Lee.
A King
Do you realize how legendary you are?
Mandy B
I appreciate that I be seeing it, but I'm like, man, I still got like so much more to do. Like Prince, he dropped like 30 albums. We dropped like five right now. That's the rate we gotta be going.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, that's a good attitude.
Drink Champs Host
You'll also hear stories from industry legends and hip hop pioneers like Fab five Freddy.
CJ Toledano
I directed one of Nas's early videos. Which one? One Love.
A King
Wow.
Jason Rodriguez
Yes.
CJ Toledano
I literally filmed in his apartment in. In Queensbridge. His moms were still up in that apartment. Nas was just beginning to take off. His pops used to live near me in Harlem. His dad introduced him to a whole lot of, you know, conscious stuff and he made a young prodigy.
Drink Champs Host
No matter the era. Drink Champs brings you the biggest names and the most unfiltered conversations. Listen to drink champs from the Black Effect podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Mandy B
It's so weird for me just because we just brought up act. He has done nothing but shit on women publicly. Why? Why does he do that Daphne Joy interview?
A King
Well, where else is she gonna go?
CJ Toledano
Yeah, I don't think.
A King
Where else she gonna go?
Mandy B
You don't think anyone else wanted to sit with Daphne?
A King
No.
CJ Toledano
The only people I can see sitting with Daphne.
Mandy B
You know what? I'm not gonna lie. Is Ben, now that I think about it.
A King
I just met Shannon Sharp the other day.
Mandy B
Oh, my God.
CJ Toledano
I'm gonna ask him the third one.
Mandy B
Oh, wait, you met him, too?
A King
Yeah, I met him.
Mandy B
I went to. It's funny leaning into ignorant shit. So there's a. He has this liquor, La Porta Whatever.
CJ Toledano
Lapodiel Cognac.
Mandy B
So they had a little thing at the mck. You know, I like going to the mck. So I go there and I'm like, ooh. I realized I ain't never said nothing good about this nigga online. And I said, I hope I don't get kicked out, but I wanted to go to enjoy some free.
CJ Toledano
I'm gonna drink some liquor.
Mandy B
I wanted to be outside and be cute, but I was like, damn, I'm really going to an event of somebody that I know. I don't think he's great at what he does. I'm not a fan of his. I don't. You know, I do think that he violated a girl and then had to pay. But I did show up to the event. I was just hoping I didn't get kicked out. That's all.
A King
Was there any interaction?
Mandy B
No. When he walked by, I let him walk by. I mean, everyone around me went.
A King
I feel like it's 50 50. With Mandy, though, I think it depends on how invested they are, because she's very recognizable. It's like, all right.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, there's no hiding.
A King
So if she says something that stung, I could see him. But hey, hey, hey, hey, hey.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, but you don't even look back.
Mandy B
Like you doing. Same thing just happened. Where was I? Oh, at Summer Jam. Not Summer Jam. I always fucking confuse it.
CJ Toledano
Birthday Bash.
Mandy B
Birthday Bash.
CJ Toledano
Birthday Bash.
Mandy B
I run into Lil Duvall, Me and Lou Duval, Al. And I didn't speak. I didn't speak. So that's the thing. I can always be in a room and be cordial, but I'm never gonna go outta my way to speak to somebody that I know I don't fuck with or that I haven't supported or that I know I've talked shit about online, for sure. Like, you know, that just is what it is.
CJ Toledano
And that's how it would be if I seen Ike. Like, I would look that man in the face like, you know, what is it? Nothing. Is it nothing? Okay, cool. So it's nothing.
Mandy B
Because, like, we come from an era, no lie, like, where if you go to somebody face, you say what's on your mind. Like, so if I get approached, I'm never gonna take my words back. You know what I said?
CJ Toledano
You know what I said in the deal?
Mandy B
You know what I said?
A King
I don't think it'll be. I think in those moments, the only thing you could do at that point is, yo, man, what you. And then have an expanded conversation in person.
Mandy B
It's weird. So that's what. That's.
A King
I don't ever think it's gonna ever be.
Mandy B
But that's kinda like my issue with the Daphne Joy thing, right? I clearly have a sex part positive platform, for sure. Yes, yes. And so that would be something that people might be like, wait, Mandy, you wouldn't want to sit with her. And so for me, for me, it is. 50 Cent just received some backlash this week. He was sitting, promoting something.
A King
Oh, the raising. Canaan.
Mandy B
There we go. And they asked him his thoughts on Daphne Joy, and he pretty much was just like, guys, she's a hoe, and so hoes do hoe things. And I was listening to him, and the comments were like. Even the people in the audience was like, oh, that's. But I agree, like, first off, there's women.
A King
There's women.
Mandy B
Go ahead.
A King
Look, before we started the show, I said, I do think there was a time, and I don't know too much about his relationship with her. And I feel uncomfortable even talking about it. Cause that's their relationship. But they put it publicly. But I think that there was a genuine relationship there once upon a time.
Mandy B
There was.
A King
I agree. I agree. I've never seen 50 post pictures. I think there was the lawyer girl that he was messing with at one time. They seemed serious.
Mandy B
Cuban link.
CJ Toledano
He never.
A King
Yes, he never. He doesn't reveal the intimate women in his life unless it's a thing. So when you see that, you're like, oh, shit, this is who he's with. And then they were on the beach and he had on the linen. That's a different and cheesing.
Mandy B
That's a different and cheesing. And cheesing.
CJ Toledano
Right?
A King
That was a different version of 50 cent. A vulnerable 50 cent in terms of his love life. So I don't think that she was presenting herself that way then, as it appears to be.
Mandy B
Well, no, my issue with her is releasing the statement identifying as a victim, claiming a level of abuse that she endured literally just for the very next day to be leaning into. Does size really matter? Let me tell you my thoughts. And then dropping. Dropping the only fans to 85% off.
A King
Yeah.
Mandy B
And then, like, leaving.
A King
She's seizing the moment. She's seizing the moment. She's seizing the moment.
Mandy B
You looking for another man to pretty much treat you the same way you just got treated? Because what are we talking about here?
CJ Toledano
Well, I mean, there's two sides of that coin, right? There's that side. The other side is some of these n. S don't care about hoes. They would love the ho, marry the hoe, whatever. The thing is, they don't care. Even last week when we talked about it, like, again, this is their relationship. So it is what it is. I don't personally care. I'm not invested in whether you love her or not. That's y' all business. But it's hard for me to believe that 50 didn't know none of this, even when he had on the linens and taking the pictures and, like, being happy with her.
Mandy B
Well, no, he definitely knew.
Jason Rodriguez
Listen, some people like to eat Wendy's.
Mandy B
Some people like to eat healthy.
CJ Toledano
You know what I'm saying?
Jason Rodriguez
Like, he knew, right? Like, what's wrong with Wendy? He's dogging her out, and they have a kid together, right? Where it's like. It's like, dog, you knew.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, that's the corner.
Jason Rodriguez
Whatever she's doing, she could drop the only fan. But it's like, dog, her son loves her. And that's the part to me that's foul, where it's just like, yo, you knew when you ordered the number one off the menu.
CJ Toledano
You know what it comes with?
Jason Rodriguez
It came with the number one. Yes.
CJ Toledano
Bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles, mustard, and
Mandy B
a side of hoe.
A King
But how do we know?
Jason Rodriguez
Spicy mayo.
A King
That version of her then was what we see now. Maybe that. That's what she was kind of cleaned up.
Mandy B
What?
A King
And then she reverted back.
Jason Rodriguez
You was who you was before you
CJ Toledano
got here, before you got there.
Jason Rodriguez
You could change.
A King
That's my.
CJ Toledano
That's my bar.
A King
That's not my favorite bar.
CJ Toledano
That's one of the realest she ever said, who's the.
Mandy B
Who's the comedian? Something. Dion.
CJ Toledano
Dion Cole.
Mandy B
Not Dion Cole. What's the one with the light eyes? West Coast. That.
Jason Rodriguez
That be none of us are going to respond to.
CJ Toledano
That's not an identify.
Mandy B
Wait, I can't ask y' all to light skin.
A King
Like, oh, yo, yo, Doc, you know
CJ Toledano
a homeboy with the light eyes, like, I would never describe.
Mandy B
We are not doing that right now.
CJ Toledano
Light eyes.
A King
Wait, so your demise. Surprise.
Mandy B
Can't acknowledge when a man got light eyes?
CJ Toledano
No, I gave it to myself, not to no other man.
A King
Like, hey, you see the nigga with
CJ Toledano
the light eyes over there?
A King
Or you might say some snarky shit.
Mandy B
Y' all know. Anyway, she dated a comedian.
Jason Rodriguez
Ak who's that funny dude? It makes you laugh with the light eyes.
CJ Toledano
The one that we have you giggling and shit, you know?
A King
Right, right, right, right. That tickle your fancy?
Mandy B
Y' all are on to my cheese bowl for me. Okay.
CJ Toledano
No, this way.
A King
This way is to turn it on and off. But that wouldn't be. I'd be like, yo, he always got the fly kicks.
CJ Toledano
Something that I can relate to. I would also be like, yeah, that could be me.
Mandy B
You can relate to the fact that he has eyes. They just happen to be light.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. Nah.
A King
Yeah, nah.
Mandy B
Okay. I'm not. Okay. I don't.
A King
But anyway, it's five months, too.
CJ Toledano
She dated this other guy.
Mandy B
She dated this guy. He put her on black. She was like. But I was. So I'm on Reality After Dark with Carlos King, Dustin Ross, Claudia Jordan, and so that's on Carlos King's Patreon. And so she was talking about, I be working. I don't know how I could talk this much. But we recorded last week, and she was sharing about Daphne's previous relationship with this comedian and how it became, like, a whole thing in LA that she was doing similar things that she was doing with Diddy with this person.
CJ Toledano
Okay.
Mandy B
But that this person may have been the person to, like, break her. And then she got with Diddy. But also, like, interesting again, when you're in la, when these guys introduce you to a certain type of lifestyle, it becomes your lifestyle. And if you're doing it in order to keep up with a lifestyle, I don't know if that's necessary, if that makes you a victim. And then to see that now you're moving forward with sex work, mind you, you getting, I don't know, like, 65 or $7,000 a month from. From 50, $10,000 a month from Diddy, if almost $20,000 a month in child support alone. Is it enough to like, make you Just go out and get a job instead of selling yourself on the Internet. How much do you really value what your son may have to endure in, you know, in school with all of this that's come out about you? And now you just shaking your ass and showing your titties and you're naked on now. I watched the videos she said, I seen.
CJ Toledano
I did the research.
Mandy B
I mean, but it's just like, I don't like that she came out with that statement referring to herself as a victim. Because there are real victims out here.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. I don't know what the. I don't know what the extent of. Like, what is the allegation, like, her victimhood, like, what is the thing.
Mandy B
That's what I'm saying. She called herself a victim. And I'm not couldn't.
Jason Rodriguez
The details that she's trying to say, Jah, is essentially that she trusted him. And there was a certain part that she was willing to do, but then it went too far and she lost herself within that.
CJ Toledano
But in that went too far. We talking about, like, a crime or we talking about went too far? Like, it was beyond.
Mandy B
I thought he loved me. And if he loved me.
CJ Toledano
Yeah.
Mandy B
He wouldn't have made me. These other guys, like, Right.
CJ Toledano
Is that the way too far? Always saying that she was, like, coerced. Like, you had to. I clean that up.
Jason Rodriguez
I think she's saying, like, there was a certain part she was willing to do for her partner because he was in love. But then at a certain point, that changed and it got coercion and more
CJ Toledano
coercion came into it. Yeah, well, I mean, yeah, I mean, listen, I don't want no one to, like, coercion is fucked up. Sexual abuse is fucked up. Like that.
Mandy B
It is. And there's a lot of layers to abuse.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mandy B
Like I said, there's emotional, there's financial, there's a lot that don't include sexual abuse, nor does it include physical abuse all the time. But, like, you're the victim of what?
CJ Toledano
A victim of what? Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Mandy B
You're a victim of falling for the wrong guy. Like, when we're talking in this nature, you just gotta watch out.
A King
Fif had posted a comment about it, and he said, apparently California state law agrees with this type of behavior as it relates to his son.
CJ Toledano
Oh, yeah, that's right.
A King
So I'm like, oh, he's angling for custody. Looks like. So then now that she's doing all this stuff and not really controlling the narrative, this shit Is all over the place. But also I wonder if that leans into his favor at some point.
CJ Toledano
If you're 50 though, what argument are you making that like, if someone could pick your shit apart too and be like, you're just as messy as she is?
A King
No, but he ain't out here busting it open on video.
CJ Toledano
And that is the only standard thing we don't know, but that is the only standard of what won't get you custody of your child. Like, they might look at it and be like, well, you're going on the Internet with these antics. Like, how is, how is the kid gonna have to deal with that in school?
Mandy B
Oh, because that's the. Well, that's the conversation right now with Bonnie Bleu.
A King
Yeah, but this like she has a.
Mandy B
She's. She's pregnant. Bonnie Blue is the sex worker that I think. What? She, she slept with 100,000 men.
CJ Toledano
Record holder, super gangbang or whatever.
Mandy B
So she just had a golden baby shower.
CJ Toledano
Oh, what's a golden baby shower? Wait, wait, wait.
A King
What's a golden. Explain wait. Cause we didn't know what booning was.
CJ Toledano
A golden baby shower. I know exactly what it. What she's saying for the audience.
A King
No, no, but please, like for those who don't put.
Mandy B
So there's a video where people are pretty much insinuating if she is someone who is capable of being a good mom. Because I guess at this baby shower she had all these guys in shies peeing on her. They were in shies, man. And so the conversation is, if you're willing to let that be done to your body while you're carrying the baby, that's crazy. Are you going to be a mother that won't put your child in harm's way by still doing sex work things or sex work acts?
CJ Toledano
Yeah, I'm sure that's more because of
Mandy B
course they're like, you are with baby. But also I think pregnant people out here getting pissed on, like if that's like what you're into, you know, maybe not on camera, maybe not for people to see what's happening.
CJ Toledano
But yeah, well, no, he's just like
A King
a bunch of niggas is pooh shiesty
CJ Toledano
pissing the shiesty's is a part that takes it to like, it's already a bad boy.
A King
That kid is gonna be ruined.
Mandy B
And I will say all the shiestys were blue, so I guess they're all team boy.
CJ Toledano
Oh shit.
Mandy B
There were no pink shies.
CJ Toledano
That's the craziest. So it is a baby shower. Gender reveal.
Mandy B
Yeah. Ish. You know, man, Maybe that was the gender reveal. That's why they all had blue 2020.
A King
I wonder if they're all Crips. I was about to say.
CJ Toledano
Yeah.
Mandy B
All right, all right.
CJ Toledano
Now we taking it too far.
A King
I bet it's all Crips.
Mandy B
Now we're taking it too far.
A King
I'm gonna get pissed on by 20 crips.
CJ Toledano
By 20 crips.
A King
That's what she said.
CJ Toledano
That's the DP.
Mandy B
That's crazy.
A King
That's what she said. Allegedly.
Mandy B
That's crazy.
CJ Toledano
That's how you get dp. You get pissed off. She did that when she's pregnant.
Mandy B
I know.
CJ Toledano
Who the father?
Mandy B
None of us know. Because they're claiming that it may have came from that gang bang.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah. Number 500.
CJ Toledano
Allegedly. This shit just keeps getting worse and worse and worse.
Mandy B
That's how they got. That's how they were able to get them to show up. Yeah, listen, listen. Well, Jason, let's get into. This Is America. Let's get into our politics portion of the pod.
A King
Take a deep breath.
Mandy B
Okay? Don't be. Don't do this. You are being so extra. AK you are being so extra. You wanna introduce the Carmelo Anthony trial and maybe some backstory on what the story is for those who don't know.
A King
Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
So this is a story that's happening in Texas that I feel like it may be flying under the radar nationally, but certainly not with Mandy, because Mandy's been saying, Carmelo Anthony. Carmelo Anthony. We think it's the Knicks player. But it's not.
CJ Toledano
It is not.
Jason Rodriguez
It's a high school. It's a high school student who got into an altercation with another high school student who was the star football player. This happened at a track meet and then, you know, it led to a stabbing. And the other kid, who, like I said, was a star football player, his name is Austin Metcalfe, correct?
Mandy B
Yep.
Jason Rodriguez
He died fatally of the wounds. And now Carmelo Anthony has been charged. And currently it's. The trial is happening right now.
CJ Toledano
Yes.
Mandy B
So I wanna add a little bit to that in terms of the trial. He is being tried as an adult.
A King
Yes.
Mandy B
This is for first degree murder. And as of this week, none of the 12 jurors or the six alternates selected for this trial are black, despite the fact that this was quite the case last year when it happened, due to the fact that the student that did the stabbing that's now on trial is a black student. And Austin Metcalfe, who did pass away, is white. So the question and conversation I wanted to have around this is an all non black jury automatically unfair. I do also want to bring up that this is in Texas, which is predominantly and has been a red state.
CJ Toledano
Very much so.
Mandy B
Which does lean into. Even when we talk about Bible Belt. They're not really associated with that. However, they are very. Just Southern in.
A King
Yeah.
CJ Toledano
Texas has a reputation for being an outlaw state.
Mandy B
Yep.
CJ Toledano
Like, you know, like we do what we want in Texas and Texas has harsher penalties and they're down for all this thing, capital punishment, life in prison, the whole gamut of things that you can do fucked up to somebody. Texas is game four.
Mandy B
Now to me, this is giving a reshuffle. If this was spades, we get no spades. It's giving reshuffle.
CJ Toledano
A missed deal.
Mandy B
This is a missed deal. This is a missed deal for me, especially when a case becomes a national story and you know that there is an element of race discussion in it. I absolutely do think it is unfair to not have one black juror.
A King
Now,
Mandy B
I would love to, if we could, for the sake of this take, because I do think it blinds us as well when we have race cases. If we take out Carmelo Anthony being black and it's two students that are both black or both white. Let's not even, you know. Do you view this case differently? Because for me, I would just go
Jason Rodriguez
ahead in the setup. In the setup. Ja. It was an altercation that happened at a track meet. Apparently Carmilla was underneath the tent. The kid asked him to move and get away and he said that it was in self defense.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. No, I've written about this story since it happened.
Mandy B
The defense is that it was self defense.
CJ Toledano
Correct.
Mandy B
The other thing is. And yomi brought up that it might not have been a knife. I read it. Knife. But it was apparently a cleat sharpener. But he stabbed the boy in his heart like he was a fucking beer.
CJ Toledano
He stood right in his chest. Yeah.
Mandy B
And so there was intent to kill. Although there was just a shuffle. It was a fight. Now a king is like he was being bullied. I in no case believe that a student should stab another student in the heart. And so for me, I understand self defense. But if it was a shuffle, it was a track meet. I don't think a weapon should. It shouldn't have gotten to a point where there was a weapon, even if there was size difference. So for me, as I'm looking at this case, 17 is also a tricky age as to whether he's a child or adult. I Understand that's a little tricky.
A King
Well, I wanna add something to.
Mandy B
Please add something to this because.
A King
So you mentioned that Texas is a red state, right?
Mandy B
Yes.
CJ Toledano
Right.
A King
Insurance.
Mandy B
Here we go, Rod.
A King
So Texas is also a stand your ground state.
CJ Toledano
Very much so.
A King
And we proceeding on legal jargon and terminology by the definition of these titles and terms. Well, that jury of 12, 11 people, or whatever it is, they have what we call in Texas called the Castle doctrine.
CJ Toledano
Yep, the Castle doctrine.
A King
The Castle Doctrine presumes that you are justified in using deadly force to protect yourself.
CJ Toledano
You goddamn right.
A King
Against someone.
Mandy B
Is this out in public or a judge?
A King
Hold on, hold on.
CJ Toledano
We gonna get there.
Mandy B
Cause stand your ground in Florida is only for your home.
A King
We ain't talking about Florida.
Mandy B
Okay.
A King
Florida might not be the state. We might replace Florida with Venezuel.
CJ Toledano
Okay.
Mandy B
Okay, go ahead.
A King
By deadly force to protect yourself against someone who is unlawfully and forcefully entering or attempting to enter. Okay, that's the.
Mandy B
Keep going.
A King
Hold on, wait.
Jason Rodriguez
Your home vehicle, or.
A King
That's the addendum. Hold on. That's a workspace. That's the addendum. Well, it's really. To stand your ground. The Castle doctrine is the addendum to that. To stand your ground.
Mandy B
I'm standing your ground, babe.
A King
You have the legal right to be in a location where a threat occurs. You're not engaged in criminal activity at the time. This is when stand your ground is applicable. You did not provoke the situation. Right. Under Texas law, you have no legal duty to retreat from an attacker before using force, including deadly force, as long as you meet those conditions I mentioned previously. So I think what happens here is what were the conditions that occurred prior to the incident?
CJ Toledano
So it's funny you should mention that, sir. I do declare.
A King
Listen, I'm a Knick fan, right? So in this scenario, you know what I'm saying? Jalen Brunson. I'm passing it off to. You know what I mean, To OG Abenoby. You know what I mean?
CJ Toledano
We're going to go get it and
A King
we might have to lob it back to shame it, you know, Jason, Rod decide he gonna hit that three.
Mandy B
Go ahead.
A King
You in this position. I see she gonna be Wembianna right now.
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host
Number one hits, millions of records, sold awards, sold out tours. You think the Jonas Brothers are satisfied?
CJ Toledano
Nope.
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host
It's podcast time.
Mandy B
We get to ask other people questions because we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host
Hey, Jonas is available now and their first guest is a big one, Paul Rudd.
CJ Toledano
You know, Steve Carell is a great Singer.
Mandy B
Can he tell you not to audition
Jason Rodriguez
the Office or something?
Drink Champs Host
I told him, whoa.
Jason Rodriguez
We were filming Anchorman.
CJ Toledano
Clearly, I was the idiot. Thank God he didn't listen to me, right?
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host
Listen to hey, Jonas. On the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
Keith Giamanco seemed like a mild mannered suburban dad, but secretly he became someone else. A master of disguise who went on a crime spree. At the time, did it seem like a crazy idea? It seemed very crazy, but I felt
Jason Rodriguez
so desperate that I felt it was
A King
the quickest, easiest way out.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
Did you allow yourself to think about how it could go wrong and what that might look like?
Mandy B
No, I didn't want to manifest that. I was trying to manifest success.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
Every family has its secrets. But what happens when you discover that your dad has been living a double life?
Mandy B
That is not the look of an innocent man. This is gonna change my life and
A King
my family dynamic forever.
Mandy B
Because everything that had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.

A King
Do you realize how legendary you are?
Mandy B
I appreciate that I be seeing it, but I'm like, man, I still got, like, so much more to do. Like Prince, he dropped like 30 albums. We dropped like five right now. That's the rate we gotta be going.
CJ Toledano
Yep, that's a good attitude.
Drink Champs Host
You'll also hear stories from industry legends and hip hop pioneers like Fab five Freddy.
CJ Toledano
I directed one of Nas's early videos. Which one? One Love.
Jason Rodriguez
Wow.
CJ Toledano
Yes. I literally filmed in his apartment in Queensbridge. His moms were still up in that apartment. Nas was just beginning to take off. His pops used to live near me in Harlem. His dad introduced him to a whole lot of, you know, conscious stuff, and he made a young prodigy.

In the last few months alone, I've interviewed unhoused parents, immigrants, mutual aid organizers, veterans, the LGBQTIA community, and the policymakers who make the laws that impact the unhoused existence. Wheaton House is a two time Webby and Signal award winning show with many exciting guests on the horizon. Tune in this week for my interview with Dr. Jill Wicheric, a street doctor turned influencer whose work with the unhoused community has made a huge impact online
CJ Toledano
and in her community.
Theo Henderson
Listen to we the Unhoused on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
CJ Toledano
So the conditions around this situation, right?
A King
Yes.
CJ Toledano
The first thing I want to note is that the so I don't go to a lot of track meets, but the well I, I, I did okay. So a track coach was was brought to the stand. He testified that a track meets are chaos and a lot of times a lot of these athletes mingle with each other. The athletes are all over the field. They're in different tents. They're all over the place.
Mandy B
Yep.
CJ Toledano
It's not abnormal for a Carmelo who doesn't belong to this team to go into another tent. Now, he didn't just go into this tent for no reason. He had a friend or person that he knew in this tent. That person also testified, said, you know, I seen Carmelo. We dapped each other up. We sat down, we chopped it up for a little bit, sat down talking. So this other person was not tripping about. He saw somebody he knew, they sat down, had a conversation. Austin Metcalf decided that this was not he didn't want this going on. He decided he didn't want Carmelo in this tent with them. He has every legal right to be there. You can voice your displeasure, say, hey, this is our team. Get the fuck out of here. He doesn't have to leave. But Carmelo. All testimonies say Carmelo was sitting down saying, y' all pussy. Y' all not gonna do nothing. I want to sit here. Nobody's gonna move me about this spot. Don't put your hands on me or find out. Had his hand in a book bag. They say multiple people testified to that. He's sitting down. Austin Metcalfe is standing over him now at some point, he's standing over him, sitting down and telling this nigga to move. Get up out of here. So now you're a smaller person. They said Austin Metcalf had 70, 80 pounds on Carmelo Anthony. So now you have a smaller person who's Sitting and a bigger person who's standing over that person. That sounds like a threat. That sounds like a threatening situation. You got multiple teammates telling me, get out of here. Now they're all telling me to leave. It's getting rowdy. And I'm sitting here saying, don't touch me. I'm not leaving nowhere. I haven't presented any threat to you so far. And then Austin Metcalfe proceeds to push Carmela Anthony, which all the prosecution's witnesses also testified to, that Austin pushed him.
A King
He touched him first.
CJ Toledano
You touched him first.
Mandy B
I will tell you right now, as someone who has been on a track team, has done track meets, basketball team, volleyball team, soccer team. I've been running. Yeah.
CJ Toledano
Okay.
Mandy B
Yeah. I did the four by one, and I did the miles and I did shot put and the 200.
CJ Toledano
Don't worry.
Mandy B
I did the 201, the mile and shot put. Okay.
A King
Yeah.
Mandy B
Now, all in high school, right? Only. Only volleyball in college.
CJ Toledano
Okay.
Mandy B
But as someone who's been to these different meets, as someone who was a teenager in sports, yes, there's a lot of feelings and emotions that happen at these meets. However, with all the adults that are normally around, with all of the other students that are normally around, in no way, shape or form, if I get into a tussle with someone from another team, another school, another. Should there be any fear for my life as a child in that setting? A lot of times, if there's a
CJ Toledano
tussle, it's a fist fight.
Mandy B
It's a fist fight. At most, it's going to get broken up really quickly, very fast. Yeah. So in no way do I feel that Carmelo. I'm sorry, is justified with stabbing another child in his heart over a seat or a tussle at a track meet, because at most you would have got a black eye. At most, it would have been a fight. But there are so many adults at these track meets. There are so many students. And if Carmelo, your homeboy, was also right there, or whoever, you went to go see something would have been. There was no reason to pull out a weapon. Because at a track meet, as a child, in a tussle with just another child, I don't feel like you feared for your life enough to stab this man, to stab this boy where you did. And so I understand that, yes, this is Texas. I understand. Stand your ground, cuz. Hello, Florida. We've had a huge, you know,
A King
Zimmerman.
Mandy B
Zimmerman. And yes.
A King
Trayvon Martin.
CJ Toledano
And Trayvon Martin in all kinds of situations.
Mandy B
Again, understood. But when I look at this as two young kids at a track meet, literally getting into a dispute and a tussle. In no way, shape or form did that other boy deserve to be killed. And so I get you standing over him, like, to me, even if I push someone out the way. Or bro, you don't like.
A King
But you're assuming that. You're assuming that.
Mandy B
That his life was not threatened.
CJ Toledano
Yes.
A King
Metcalf would have just pushed him and that would have been it.
Mandy B
I'm assuming. Yes. That Metcalf. I'm assuming that another kid was not there with a gun. Was not there with a knife.
A King
I'm saying. But you're assuming that white parents or white coaches would have immediately jumped to.
Mandy B
But even if it's not immediately, his homeboy was right there that testified. So there's somebody that would have gotten in the middle of it to where it wouldn't have been, to where they should have actually.
CJ Toledano
Someone would have died because the homeboy sat there while they were running up on this man.
Mandy B
But that's what I'm saying. Who knows how quick if he sat there and said, don't touch me. Fuck around and find out. And then he goes to push him
A King
because he kept doing it.
Mandy B
But that's what I'm saying, even with what you said to the Castle Law, something about provocation. So if he was provoked, right, which he said. Like, if he said, do something, then to me, that's do something.
A King
I'll leave me alone.
Mandy B
But that's what he said, do something.
CJ Toledano
Well, no, what they said Carmelo said was they were talking shit to him. The quote is, touch me and find out.
Mandy B
That's what's.
CJ Toledano
No, no, no.
Mandy B
But that's provoking.
CJ Toledano
I don't think that's provoking. I don't think. Touch me and find out. No one should be putting your hands on anybody. Touch me and find out. Is everything right? Touch me and find out. Touch me and find out.
A King
And that's typical with a high schooler. That's a typical high schooler.
Mandy B
Oh, touch me and find out. To this day, if you touch me, find out, we're fighting. In no way do I sit here and assume, especially as a child, that you gonna sit here and stab me in the heart.
CJ Toledano
Hey, if I'm. If I'm. I'm 5' 7, 185. If I'm having a back and forth conversation with a nigga that's six' five, 275, and I say, touch me and find out, I'm not gonna wrestle with this nigga.
Mandy B
You're not.
CJ Toledano
Now, the situation is I could be in grave danger of bodily injury or harm.
A King
Self preservation.
Mandy B
You know what's crazy about that? So maybe this is different for men, you know? So I fought a big bitch one time, right? I did. So was at the strip club. She was the door girl.
A King
This is a clip. I need an animated clip of this.
Mandy B
So hear me out. Because for women, even with a size difference, I was always told, cause, bitch, I'm only 5 1.
CJ Toledano
Right?
A King
But you grabbed her.
Mandy B
No. The bigger they are, the harder they fall is what? So I don't give a fuck if a bitch is bigger than me. All I gotta do is get that bitch on the ground and she gonna
A King
like, let me see your.
Mandy B
No. So I'm at the strip club. The girl was the door girl. Damn. And I already didn't like it. That's how you know she was a big bitch.
CJ Toledano
I was gonna say, you don't even gotta give me the dimensions now you say she's a door girl.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
I'm like, oh.
Mandy B
She's like. And made sure you got in, right? So big bitch. So we in Orlando. And all I know is she came over and started saying some fly shit. She also did some, like, goofy shit that I ain't like. And so I hand my phones to my homegirl. Cause this back then when you had a BlackBerry and I don't know, I had a BlackBerry and a Sidekick or something, or maybe like the first iPhone and a BlackBerry. This is back then when you had the BlackBerry.
A King
Yeah.
Mandy B
So she comes over, big bitch. She towers when I say big bitch. I'm also talking size. Stocky as fuck.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Mandy B
And probably five, eight, brolic. Big bitch.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. Okay.
Mandy B
So she comes over and we fight. And I mean, clearly I get kicked out. Cause she worked for the establishment. So I go on. My little nigga was there. So I hid in his car until we dipped because they had called the cops. Cause we're fighting.
CJ Toledano
I thought you was gonna say something totally different.
Mandy B
When she said, I went to the
CJ Toledano
car, I didn't go to the truck.
Jason Rodriguez
No.
Mandy B
But when we got into that fight, y', all, she fell first. They got me off on top of her, so I was on top of her. So again, I don't know the difference with men, but with women, bigger, they are harder. They fall.
Jason Rodriguez
It's not about the I think too. You said she was talking. You said she was talking fly shit. Do you remember what she was saying?
Mandy B
She was talking fly shit. You said what? Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
Cause I think. I think realistically, it's like, you know, when you say that saying, like, there's two Americas. It's like Carmelo said, like, you know, touch me and find out. That's a warning, right? I think white boy might have took it and thought that it was, like, an invitation. And you know what I mean? That's how they end up.
Mandy B
You know what's crazy?
Jason Rodriguez
I'm not gonna hold you.
Mandy B
And I might have been. And I hate it. Cause I'm biracial. But I think that's what happened. I'm pretty sure I swung first because she got in my face and said, like, oh, bitch, you ain't gonna do shit. Whoop the whoop the whoop. Oh, bitch. And did. Yeah, and did. And so you can't invite something. That's why I said the word provoke. Because at the end of the day, too, yes, two Americas. But if you sit here and you're in my personal space, in whatever the case may be, if we are in each other's personal space, and then you taunt me like, I ain't gonna do something.
CJ Toledano
Amen.
Mandy B
And then I do it like, yeah. You know what I mean?
CJ Toledano
But a taunt isn't a threat. Like, if we're in road rage, right? And we pull up. We was talking shit to each other, and we pull up to a red light, and a nigga pulls out a gun, flashes a gun, said, nigga, I kill you. I said, shoot me then, nigga. Do that shit. And he shoots me. That's not me. He's going to prison.
Mandy B
I get it. But you.
CJ Toledano
But he's going to prison. Me saying shoot me then, nigga, is a legal standard of.
Mandy B
Do you want to know what's crazy about that?
CJ Toledano
He killed me because I said that word.
Mandy B
So he's going to prison.
CJ Toledano
100%.
Mandy B
That's where I hate that. Carmelo Anthony is in a trial where he was provoked enough to do something that now has him being tried as an adult. Because at the end of the day, there has to be some level of sense that as two children, like, your life is not threatened for you to even stab him. Like, even if you get a two,
A King
I don't think it's, knock him aside.
CJ Toledano
Niggas die all the time.
A King
I think the other element here is the racial component. You know, we tell our children. Well, one, we tell our children, and we've been told, don't be no pussy. Somebody raised up on you in school, you know, you let them know what time it is.
Mandy B
Let them know what time it is.
A King
Then you add that with him being in Texas, what is his parents con? What are both of their parents conversations as it relates to de escalation? Well, just dealing with the other.
CJ Toledano
Oh, right.
A King
Those elements are strong in this.
Mandy B
No, but they are. But at the end of the day, as still a little black boy, there should never also be a conversation where as parents and who knows what the conversation was. But there shouldn't be conversations where you kill another kid. You know what I mean? So I get what you're saying because yes, there's that element of black and white, but you stabbed the other little boy in the heart.
A King
So like this isn't like the case
Mandy B
where the 20 year old son and dad from the grocery store chased that little black boy out the store and shot him in the back. He should not have done that.
A King
That's a whole nother conversation.
Mandy B
And that's a whole nother conversation. Don't wanna go there. I understand the elements of race, but that's why I said when we remove it, these are two kids that attract me. I don't feel like his life was in danger. And unfortunately he did what you did. He got provoked. And if that person would have shot you in the vehicle. Yes, he would have went to jail. This boy, Carmelo Anthony, got only not in a fight, brought a weapon to a fight, stabbed another young boy in his heart.
A King
Well, it has to be proven. Cause that's intent.
Mandy B
What do you mean?
A King
You said he bought a weapon to the fight.
Mandy B
Well, he even brought up his hands were in his book bag as protection.
A King
That was for him because he felt,
CJ Toledano
I feel like, oh shit, he's outnumbered.
A King
He thought he was threatening. That right.
Mandy B
But that's what I'm saying. Maybe it wasn't a weapon because again they said it was a cliche.
A King
It was something that was in his. That was the only thing in his jurisdiction proximity that he's like, damn, I gotta get something. Cause they about to swarm on me. And he probably was like, yo, just chill. Leave me alone. Leave me alone, leave me alone.
Mandy B
Curious based on the information that we just shared. Cause I do wanna get to the next topic. Yes, Jason. Ja? A King.
A King
What's up?
Mandy B
You're a juror. Where do you lean in this after you read the law?
A King
Like you have no legal duty to retreat from an attacker before using force. So you're including deadly force as long as you meet the following conditions. You have a legal right to be in a location where the threat occurs. You are not engaged in criminal activity at the time. And you did not provoke the Situation.
Mandy B
So you're.
A King
If we go on legal jargon,
Mandy B
you know what's crazy?
A King
And I want to say prayers to all parties involved, because I wish there was a scenario timeline where none of this happened.
Mandy B
Can I ask you, a king, do you read that law exactly like that?
Jason Rodriguez
Hold on, hold on.
A King
As I'm reading it, I wonder who the law was initially.
Mandy B
But also, that's what I'm saying.
A King
Right? But when the rabbit has a gun.
Mandy B
But reading that law, a king. If the races were reversed, they would lean into.
A King
Oh, if the races were reversed.
Mandy B
But if the races were reversed, no. Would you lean heavily into this as well and say that the white boy was justified in stabbing the little black boy? And I want you to put yourself in that. That's what I'm saying here.
A King
That's a good.
Mandy B
Are you only viewing the innocence of Carmelo Anthony because he's a black boy?
A King
I think you still gotta go with the. If somebody tell you to leave me alone and chill and chill the fuck out, and you. You violate that, then it's whatever.
Mandy B
At that point, Jai, you're. You're a line.
A King
So I'm gonna say as a.
CJ Toledano
So two. Two quick things. A. To me, the. This is obviously part of the. Race is part of the situation from a societal standpoint. Really race in this situation, I don't know how much it plays as much in the actual stabbing as it does in the jury situation. Like, there's no black jury.
Mandy B
There's no black jury.
CJ Toledano
Like, the Sixth Amendment guarantees us all a fair and speedy trial by a jury of your peers. If the jury is all white, I don't know how much that's a jury of my peers. Like, if we know. If we're gonna say that race is an issue in this case, then it would be much. To me, it would be much more transparent and much more understandable to say, all right, well, there's 12 people here. Let's get six white people and six black people. And if y' all can hash it out amongst each other, y' all come to whatever conclusion y' all come to. Great. The other part I want to mention is I'm disappointed in some of the niggas. There were 600 jurors summoned for this case. They picked 12 out of 600.
A King
Right.
CJ Toledano
Some of the black people that got struck got struck because one of the guys said, I don't know if I can put a brother in jail. That's what my nigga lie. Lie to these people. Why the fuck would you be. I don't Give a fuck what you think, nigga. Don't tell them. I don't know if I could put a brother in jail. Lie to these people. You already know it's stacked up against us.
A King
I ain't saying lie,
CJ Toledano
but that's why
A King
I changed the way I say you got to play. He's saying, play the game as if
CJ Toledano
you know what it is already. The jury is already going to be stacked against this kid. You already know what the situation is. You can get in there and you can be as fair and impartial as you want to once you get in there. But if you're not in the room, then what you think don't matter no more. So a lot of these people got struck, giving themselves away and I'm like, yo, these people lie. Just be neutral. You don't have to.
Jason Rodriguez
And yeah, just be neutral. They don't even have to lie, right? Like, the thing is, it's like the race is a part of it. That's just a part of it. And even if you go to, like, what I'm saying, where it's like, was it a threat or was it an invitation? Part of that is cultural. So, like, you don't have to say, I don't, I don't. I can't put a black man in jail. You want to see justice, Sit be a part of it, who you are. Being a black person helps the trial. It helps the trial. It helps the trial because you may see something the way that another peer who's on the jury may not see.
CJ Toledano
And if you get in there, and even if you think, I can't put a black man in jail, if you get in that jury room, you hear the evidence and you just look at the situation to your point of, okay, even though he's black, I'm hearing all this evidence and I feel like it's this, then do that. But at least be on the fucking jury. Don't give them a reason to strike you because you're just saying obviously bias shit out loud for no reason. I just, I hate that shit.
Mandy B
But to me, unfortunately, we're still in a place and I get like reparations. I get that black men are unjustly imprisoned when they're not supposed to be. I'm fully aware of all those things. And killed and killed. But it leans us back into like even the OJ trial. So when I sat here and asked you hear me out. When I sit here and asked you if these two 17 year old boys were flipped and raised, you absolutely would have wanted to see that white boy go to jail for this crime of killing a black boy. It's just when we look at them as children, it's a tussle, it's a fight. I understand the race element, but you now are like, nope, I don't wanna see the black boy go to jail. But if the races were reversed, you
A King
would have said, the law is the law. That's it. If you've been warned and you violate that personal space and you contact whatever happens after the violation, regardless of black, white, brown, whatever, it's over with. Okay, that's fair. I think that's. That's why I read. I was like, wow, okay. It's there for a reason.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. To me, it's a fair way to look at it. As if in the context.
A King
And how much black men is running down on a white person like that, you don't see that. Imposing their will on a white person who does that. Yeah, niggas want to be left alone, Mandy.
Mandy B
Yeah.
A King
Yeah, nigga. Historically, you never see a nigga doing that shit. They might say some shit. Yeah, they might say nobody's physically trying to impose themselves because there's a cultural, historical something that's in our DNA that's like, yo, don't be the aggressor unless you need to be. And that's usually on defense.
CJ Toledano
And it seems like that's what, like, they voted Carmelo to be the captain of his track team. He's an honor student. And I'm not saying that to mean that you can't do crime and be an honor student in the captain, but what I'm saying is that even when Carmelo got bagged, the cop told, oh, we have the alleged. We have the alleged perpetrator here. He said, I'm not alleged. I did it.
A King
I did it. He admitted it.
CJ Toledano
He said it to the cop. Why get him put in a handcuff? I did it. So in his mind, he's like, yeah, I did it. I wasn't defending him. I didn't come here to murder nobody. I came here to sit down and talk to my man. These white people got in my face. Nigga put his hands on me. I stabbed him. So he's not that. He's not even admitting that he didn't do it. He's saying, I did it in self defense.
A King
And they have to prove intent, and
CJ Toledano
they have to because of. And I don't know how much we didn't talk about the Rick Child case that happened in Arizona, but essentially, there's a situation now where the defense, I'm sorry, the prosecution has to prove that it was not self defense. And that's a different burden than the defense having to prove that it was. So if I'm saying it's self defense, then it's on y' all to figure out how you make the case that no, it wasn't self defense, this was first degree murder, premeditated. You laid in wait, you did it on purpose, like all of that. And I don't think they can prove any of those things that I was laying in wait, that I came here to murder this kid, or none of that. It was a split second decision of, oh shit, they might fuck me up real bad, I gotta do something right now. And unfortunately, the kid got stabbed in the heart. That's like a very delicate place to get stabbed at.
Mandy B
But I'm curious your thoughts. Of course, if you're in the discord, share your thoughts and comments on YouTube as well, please. And if you are not watching us on YouTube yet, go to YouTube.com withmandyb Jason, our next topic, we're gonna get canceled. Our next topic. Do you wanna read it? The YouTube couple that's receiving death threats about their children.
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah. So this is the question. Let's see here. YouTube couple receives backlash for terminating a pregnancy with a disabled child.
Mandy B
Yes.
Jason Rodriguez
And the hot take out there is do you agree or disagree?
Mandy B
Now if you want to read, I
Jason Rodriguez
can get into this.
Mandy B
So influencer couple Jesse and Ashley Ridgeway opened up about a devastating family decision revealing that they terminated a pregnancy after finding out their unborn child had down syndrome. Now, the way Jesse tells it, the decision came after extensive conversations with medical experts, friends and family. He says he initially felt optimistic about raising a child with the condition, but later learned more about the potential health complications and lifelong challenges often associated with the disorder, which led for them to choose to terminate the pregnancy. Now there's a lot of backlash.
Jason Rodriguez
The viral tweet that went along with it was unpopular opinion. If you're having sex, you should be prepared to raise the child that results regardless of disability, diagnosis or circumstance.
Mandy B
Do you? Yeah. Do we all agree? Do you disagree?
A King
It's interesting too. Cause I think the state of North Carolina is trying to pass a law. It's up for legislation where they deem all abortions no matter the circumstances, no matter what.
CJ Toledano
It is murder.
A King
Right.
Mandy B
That is a crock of shit.
CJ Toledano
Of course it is.
Mandy B
I saw this and I'm upset that the Internet parents, non parents, have so much opinion about what this woman and man chose to do for the sake of their family planning. Secondly, key point. Secondly family planning, you also can't sit here and be on the side of wanting women to make the choices that they want to with their bodies and sit here and chastise this woman for choosing to not go through with a pregnancy. That, let me tell y', all, in this economy, boom. I have friends with children with disabilities. It is expensive, it is tumultuous on their mental health, and it is something that, I'm not gonna lie, I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
CJ Toledano
Mm.
Mandy B
It is very hard. And so for me, as adults, I'm actually this type of coming forward. This is something that I wish we actually could see more of, because these are two adults that are aware that they may not have the capacity to raise a child. When we talk about children being in homes with unfit parents, we just talked about it with possibly Daphne Joy, right?
A King
Yes.
Mandy B
These parents knew that they were unfit to raise a child and maybe provide the help, the love, the care that this child was gonna need to live a fulfilling life. So if we talk about caring about a child's life, it has to be as well with the home that they're gonna enter and what help and needs that they may need. And so, mind you, I do have a sister who takes medication because she's epileptic. So when she was pregnant, she literally had to wait till a certain trimester because of the medication. There was a chance that the spine could be inside out, essentially.
CJ Toledano
Damn.
Mandy B
Like, there's a certain thing that this medication could cause for the baby. And so she had to, like, get past a certain trimester before she could even connect to this child. Because there was even. She was suggested or told that you probably wouldn't want to go to full term because this baby is gonna have a very difficult complication.
A King
Right.
Mandy B
And so for me, when we get into the reversal of Roe v. Wade, birth control not being as accessible or expensive and where we're at, I'm just. I'm disgusted that as a society, we're trashing and sending death threats to a couple that made the decision that they can't do it.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, I don't think you can.
Jason Rodriguez
Sending a death threat is real wild shit. You gonna kill your baby? I'mma kill you.
CJ Toledano
I'mma kill you. How dare you?
A King
And they're not gonna help you at all.
CJ Toledano
At all.
A King
Can you call them to come watch the kid?
Mandy B
Let's be very clear.
A King
You gonna push that wheelchair? You gonna trade the Joe's?
Mandy B
Are you gonna help me Pay for these medical expenses. Are you gonna help find me a school that is going to be passionate
A King
and have grace for that scenario.
Mandy B
Because guess what? Your kids are probably the same ones bullying. Like, are you even teaching your child to love and care for children with disabilities? Like, there's so little care to children with disabilities. And what's crazy is we all now have also the language for it, right? Like when I was growing up in school, we just thought they were bad. They had the bad kids, right? Like they were in the smaller classroom,
CJ Toledano
needed medicine after lunch, they ate lunch
Mandy B
at a different time. We thought they were bad. Not that they had adhd, not that there was autism, not that there was. Okay.
CJ Toledano
A host of the issues that can go on with the child.
Mandy B
We just said, oh, them kids are the bad ones.
CJ Toledano
Siloed them off and said, yeah, stay over there with that.
Mandy B
And they had to be in classes away from the quote unquote, regular kids and things like that. It's difficult. And now we actually have the language. And so we have parents that are like, I know what it would be to raise this child. I'm not gonna bruh.
A King
It's so much shit. I think we. I wish that was a private situation, but they're not private. So obviously they have to give reasoning why they're not having this child. Right. But it's not a. It's something that we should all think about, you know.
Mandy B
Wait, what part? What should we think about?
A King
Well, if the physicians are saying, you know, the baby is going to be a certain way, are you going to be able to sustain and fulfill the commitment that's needed for long term care of. Those are the factors that you should consider as a woman and man when you're dealing with this thing. And I don't mean it like that thing, meaning the scenarios for those. Cause you know, dang you. But it's just. I don't have no problem with their assessment, their reasoning and their final. The conclusion to that scenario.
Mandy B
Now let me ask you.
A King
I think on the surface it looks crazy.
Mandy B
Well, the other part of the.
A King
Oh, you go mess around messing with a handicap, but it's not.
Mandy B
The other part of the Internet is saying that they should have just kept this to themselves.
A King
But then everybody gonna say, oh, what happened to the baby? Cause y' all doing content every day and we see the bump with the baby.
CJ Toledano
Well, that's the thing I was gonna get to. Is that a. Yeah, I probably. I mean, like you said, they are a YouTube couple. This is what they do. This is their content. Wheelhouse. So you have to address it.
A King
They probably day one, after we had our first sonogram, day two, so when there's no more days like what happened.
CJ Toledano
But also, I think there's a way to address it that, you know, they didn't even have to provide all of that backstory if they didn't want to.
A King
That's true.
CJ Toledano
They could have just said, we decided not to go forward with this.
Mandy B
That's how you think it should have been left?
CJ Toledano
I don't personally, I wouldn't have given people this amount of, you know, to go back and forth.
Mandy B
It wasn't a miscarriage. But if you are pregnant, unfortunately, that's the thing. There's. There's women that can't have babies, and every fucking Thanksgiving, their family's like, when you giving us a baby.
A King
Yeah, right, right.
Mandy B
The way that people feel so entitled to the womb of a woman is disgusting. And so for this, even if the statement just would have been, we lost the baby. How.
A King
But here's the thing. If it ever leaks that that's the reason why, then that's gonna be an issue that you're gonna have to respond to.
Mandy B
Yeah. I mean, to me, unfortunately, again, if the bump was there journey and you chose to not continue with the full length of the journey, you gotta tell me, here's the reason why.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, here's the reason why. So that's one part of it, I think. The other thing is that this isn't like a new scenario. People have been under these kind of situations forever about, you go to the doctor, you get your sonogram, they tell you what's going on, and they say, hey, we need to talk about this. Something might be going on with your child. This is not nowhere near a unique situation to these particular. Like, this happens to a lot of people who have to make that decision. You can't pick and choose if you think that abortion is a woman's choice. In this case, a woman's choice and a couple's choice. A couple's choice. They're talking about that they decided to do this. You can't pick and choose the reason if you don't like. If the reason was we got pregnant, but neither of us can afford to have this kid right now. People who are pro abortion who might be critical of this couple would say, oh, we understand that if you can't afford the baby, you don't want to. You're not ready to do that. You have things going on in your life. They would say, we understand that. That's Your choice. People are upset because of the optics of it. Say, oh, well, you're treating a potentially disabled child as less than you're throwing a disabled child away. And it's like, okay, if that's the path you wanna take with it, you're saying that the child's situation is more important than the mother's. And that's exactly what conservatives and Republicans argue for, why abortion shouldn't be illegal because the child is supposed to have this autonomy, that you shouldn't be allowed to take a child's life once it's conceived. It's a fetus, it's growing. It's a child that can make its own decision, quote, unquote, about whether they come into the world or not. So you can't. And so if that's your logic behind it, arguing that these people are wrong for doing that contradicts the whole argument that you're trying to make about why this is, why that's not true. When conservatives and Republicans try to pass laws for that same reason.
Mandy B
Jason, I'm curious, because you and your wife have children. Has this ever been a conversation with you during the lengths of pregnancy? Do you agree with this couple? I know you're not as public, but what are your thoughts on this?
Jason Rodriguez
Yeah, no, it's interesting. So my wife, when we had our child, my wife was over 35 years old, which classified her automatically as a high risk pregnancy for women. So, you know, it's like every type of situation becomes like a, you know, a conversation you have to navigate with, whether it's your wife's health or the child's health. And you know, those are like really complex conversations. And I think what happens with Internet discourse is that they try to act as if morality can exist in a vacuum.
A King
Right?
Jason Rodriguez
And the thing about like, like moral values and moral decisions, they're so complex because you have to take into account your financial situation, again, what you said earlier, your mental health. And so, you know, people are making these comp. These conversations, excuse me, these decisions with all kinds of factors tilted in, and they're trying to like weigh them and make it and determine like what are consequences or not. So it's just a really difficult thing. And we have like the Internet on your back, which is like, this happened this one thing. So this is wrong and that's just not the reality of the situation. So like when me and my wife, you know, we have one daughter, shout out to Maddie, she's almost nine years old, it's a difficult conversation. You have to make all these Decisions that you're only, like, you're just hoping is the best, and you're hoping that you're making the right decision. And that's just when you do it in private. So to be like a YouTube couple, where your brand is to give and talk about everything, and also, like, where the woman, I'm assuming, is thinking that she's doing the right thing because she wants to express, like, it's my womb. You can make your own choices. You know, I'm trying to, like, make sure that the way that the world is tilting doesn't close for women's choices. Like, you know, I'm sure she certainly had her right reasons that she felt were righteous.
Mandy B
And I'll say, not only that I think this is. This, to me, the act was not great. You know, let me make that clear. But also, in a world where the abortion conversation is normally that the father has no say, this was a decision made by both parties, which we normally also don't really hear about because a lot of men are like, she made that decision without me, or I wanted her to have it, but she chose to keep it anyway. It's often not the conversation when it comes to abortion that both parties agree that this was the best for them together. So I love that both parties were even able to make this decision together. And again, with the help of professional experts, friends and family, this was a group decision.
CJ Toledano
And a lot of times when you have, you know, to your point, about people, you know, feeling like they have entitlement to a woman's womb, like, you know, find out a couple is having a baby. And one of the most common questions is, you know, do you want a boy or do you want a girl? And one of the most common answers
Mandy B
is, I want a healthy baby.
CJ Toledano
That's what people say when they get that question. And the reason that's said is because that is one of the biggest fears it is. Is that like, yes, it could be high risk to the mother and the child might not be. Well, depending on the millions of complications
Mandy B
that could happen with a human.
CJ Toledano
Yep. And so.
A King
And that will determine the trajectory of how you can function for forever.
CJ Toledano
Forever get born.
A King
From that point on, it's like either gonna go that road, this road, or that road.
Mandy B
Yeah.
A King
Because nobody wants to go to that.
Jason Rodriguez
It can go to functioning parent or not.
Mandy B
Yep. Yeah.
Jason Rodriguez
And little boosie would be a good transition right here.
Mandy B
Uh oh, uh oh, come on, Transition. Get us into. Okay. Yeah.
A King
See, I was about to say before we.
Mandy B
This is the transition he wants to do. Talking about bad parents, number one hits,

I appreciate that I be seeing it, but I'm like, man, I still got, like, so much more to do. Like Prince, he dropped like 30 albums.
CJ Toledano
We dropped like five.
Mandy B
Right now. That's the rate we gotta be going.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. Yep, that's a good attitude.
Drink Champs Host
You'll also hear stories from industry legends and hip hop pioneers like Fab 5 Freddy.
CJ Toledano
I directed one of Nas's early videos. Which one? One Love.
Mandy B
Wow.
CJ Toledano
Yes. I literally filmed in his apartment in Queensbridge. His moms were still up in that apartment. Nas was just beginning to take off. His pops used to live near me in Harlem. His dad introduced him to a whole lot of, you know, combination conscious stuff, and he made a young prodigy.

Mainstream media is full of cruel depictions of the unhoused, stories that shame and blame and paint the unhoused as a monolith. We the Unhoused is the podcast that's changing that. I'm Theo Henderson, creator and host and for years I've created a space where the unhoused and their advocates can tell their own stories. In the last few months alone, I've interviewed unhoused parents, immigrants, mutual aid organizers, veterans, the LGBQTIA community, and the policymakers who make the laws that impact the unhappy housed existence. Radian House is a two time Webby and Signal award winning show with many exciting guests on the horizon. Tune in this week for my interview with Dr. Gio Wicherich, a street doctor turned influencer whose work with the unhoused community has made a huge impact online and in her community. Listen to we the unhoused on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Mandy B
Go ahead, transition us.
Jason Rodriguez
Yes. So celebrities say the darndest things. And Lil Boosie held a pool party and he was very specific about his pool party and you could come there and he said, no trans people are allowed at his pool party. He's even gonna be checking Adam's apple
CJ Toledano
and Wesley, yo, what is wrong with this nigga?
Mandy B
Now, he does have a clip because he did receive backlash for this.
A King
Oh yeah.
Mandy B
And I want y' all to hear his explanation on why he felt he could check hand size, feet size, and Adam's apples at the door.
CJ Toledano
Everybody going nuts about me.
Mandy B
Not one at my party.
A King
It's the same thing if they say
CJ Toledano
no alcohol in the building, whatever we checking for, it's the same thing as people saying, you gotta bring clear bags.
A King
Okay.
CJ Toledano
It's the same thing when you go in the restaurant, they say, no rips in the jeans, no hats on. These people own this establishment and there's
Mandy B
certain things they don't go for.
CJ Toledano
It's the same thing. But. But now you want to say you're gay. You want to bully people. Y' all fall for gay rights.
Mandy B
For 20, 30 years, we said nothing. Maybe we should fight for straight rights. You can't even say.
CJ Toledano
You can't even go against. I knew he was walking down that street.
Mandy B
You can't even. You can't even go against it. If you not. I need to hear your thoughts. Jah. Because the way your head almost came off your neck in the side, that was silent. I need.
CJ Toledano
First of all, comparing human beings to Jean Rips in hats and bags is already crazy in itself. Like, so these people aren't people. They're things. They're objects. Right? So that's the logic that you're going with. And that's not surprising coming from Boosie. But I think one of the main problems is, like, bro, first off, none of this had to be advertised. If it's your party, you have a right to invite whoever you want to at the party. And black women specifically, have been complaining about this forever. Especially in Miami and la, where it's like the guy at the door is checking you out. They looking to see what you got on. They seeing how much they think you weigh. And they're saying, ah, nah, you. Your friend can come. The five of y' all stay. Y' all fat asses over there. And your friend who has 7% body fat can come in his club and party with us. So, yeah. Do the people who own that establishment have a right to pick and choose? Sure. Technically, by the law, I guess. But is it gonna look good? Is it morally correct? Do you not look. Yeah, you're gonna look crazy. And you gotta eat that. And I think that's one of the problems with society today is that people want their cake and eat it, too. When it comes to. Well, I have the right to make this decision. So no one can say anything to me. No, you can have the right to make that decision. And that right to do that still makes you a piece of shit. Like, you don't get to have both. So, like, if you want your right. Right. Well played. So if you want to kick trans people out of your party or not allow trans people in your party, sure, go ahead, I guess. But when it gets out that you don't want trans people at your party, expect to hear somebody's mouth about it. Also, I feel like this only came up because I don't know if he shared it or if he shared the dm. The DM right of, like, why would you share?
Mandy B
For what? For what?
CJ Toledano
What are you trying to do? The DM was a trans person asking if they. If they were allowed, which is already kind of crazy. But it's a boosie party, so I almost understand why a trans person would ask that. Cause I don't want to get. Why the hell do you want to
Mandy B
go to a homophobic person's pool party? Yeah.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. No, I don't understand.
A King
Maybe cause they really fuck with Booth, but they really fuck with Boots.
Mandy B
I don't know. But why? If you are a black person and someone is publicly Racist. Why would you be like, can I attend your event?
A King
Hello. Have you not seen Black maga?
Mandy B
No.
CJ Toledano
Of course, that nigga been told every day. I'm going to tell you this. I was at a party in LA one time.
Mandy B
Give us the story. Come on.
CJ Toledano
And we in there jamming and it's a good ass time. And you know the dj, he goes through his little reggae set. Oh, he's in his reggae set now. Now he's playing jams. And he gets to like the third or fourth song and it's boom Bye bye in a body, boy. Ed Rule, boy. Now promote the nasty mind of my For Dead and the biggest group that
A King
was the Job and Jason Lee. Yes.
CJ Toledano
And there's about eight, nine gay niggas next to us in a party and they are fucking partying, right? They are having a time of they life.
A King
They're not listening to the lyrics.
CJ Toledano
They don't know what the fuck that nigga is saying.
A King
Right, right, right.
CJ Toledano
And even if they do, maybe they're letting it slide. Just like them gay niggas probably go to Chick Fil A and get their sandwiches and live their life. So, like, I'm a part of the
Mandy B
community and you gonna be in there
CJ Toledano
to waffle fries and your goddamn sweet
Mandy B
tea and then mad as hell on
CJ Toledano
a Sunday, it's not opening, you ain't get your sandwich.
A King
The thing I think of, though is when you go to TSA and if something is detected on the screen or whatever and they gotta pat you down, like, how boozy? Like what? Where are they looking? Cause I don't got the shit coming out like this. But I'm a dude, so it's like, what exactly are you feeling in the throat area? Pause. That will qualify or disqualify your entry.
CJ Toledano
Right? And on top of that, there's been studies.
A King
And what's some big. What if it's some 6 foot 8, 300 pounds doing all this to your throat?
Mandy B
And I just shared too, on my other podcast that there's certain hormones and things in men's food that's making the Adam's apple go away.
CJ Toledano
Yep.
Mandy B
The Adam's apple ain't really around like it used to be. That's probably why yours is gone. You have too much toxins in the food that you eat.
A King
Oh, but see, when I talk about Dr. Sebi and healing and all that,
CJ Toledano
y' all be like, Ah, Dr. Sebi, I bet you'd be all right if you had some of that salmon. Oh, God, I bet you. Especially if you had some of that good.
Mandy B
What are your thoughts with this?
Jason Rodriguez
So what does lil Boosie think? Gay people and trans people.
Mandy B
Jason, I need you to not ever say lil Boosie like that again.
Jason Rodriguez
Like, does Boosie think that they're so powerful that like, I think he does. They just like rub up against him, he turns gay.
CJ Toledano
That's what most homophobes do.
Jason Rodriguez
He goes out of his way to say it. What does he think that they do?
CJ Toledano
That's what I feel like. That is the standard logic of most homophobes. Is that like, oh, if these niggas was around me, I'mma just drop to my knees and start sucking dick. I'm going to just bend over.
Mandy B
And that's how I mean, that's the conversation. Even when it comes to the trans bathrooms, they automatically assume that a trans woman really wants to be. Is a man that just wants to dress as a woman to go in
CJ Toledano
and to sexually assault.
Mandy B
Sexually assault women and kids. This idea that trans women just can't exist like any other person. They're not forcing their sexuality onto you. I also like commend this person for even acknowledging that, hey, this is who I am. Am I welcome? Because there's a lot of trans women in the conversation is that they're not
CJ Toledano
letting people know, which is respectful and sad at the same time.
Mandy B
It is both.
CJ Toledano
It's both because. Because it's like, yeah. The fact you have the self awareness to even ask is like, okay, like, wow, that's swallowing a lot. Pause. You could be like, oh shit, I gotta, I wanna go to this thing. But I have to kind of debase myself and even ask this question. Is it okay for me to go there? And then it's like, damn, you have to even ask that question.
Mandy B
I mean, I'm not gonna lie. I'll be honest with you. And if we're being honest here, yes, Boosie, wrong. But being on the other end, let's take it to New York. Uh oh, 2014, 2015, like meatpacking area. I was a big bitch.
CJ Toledano
Okay.
Mandy B
I'm a black girl, right? So even Dream Rooftop or Bagatelle, there were certain parties that when I got invited, hey, they let. Am I finna be allowed to get in, Right, because of the doormat.
CJ Toledano
And you're protecting yourself in that kind of way. Like a. You don't want to be emotionally scarred and traumatized and embarrassed.
Mandy B
But you brought up dark skinned girls. There's big girls, there's certain cities in certain places. We do just understand. And so do the clubs come out and Say it vocally. No.
A King
Right.
Mandy B
Boosie did. Now, mind you, I never wanna agree with Boosie.
CJ Toledano
You know what's going on here.
A King
Go. Florida rules in the favor.
Mandy B
This is real selective ignorance here.
CJ Toledano
Okay?
Mandy B
True. If I'm having an event in my house, I can say who's allowed to come and who ain't. Yeah, yeah, no, I go to play party. I go to sex clubs. They turn people down based on looks quite a bit. Or if it's a hetero night. No, you and your partner can't come and have gay sex in here. Like there are. I'm not mad, actually, when I heard his logic. Cause at first I was like, God damn, you homophobic ass motherfucker. But then when he said his explanation of it.
A King
Don't worry when it.
Jason Rodriguez
So you're saying you like what you like? Some people like Kobe, some people like LeBron. Hello, listen, you see what I'm doing there? You see what I'm doing there?
Mandy B
Mandy, come on. Transition.
A King
Listen, transition.
Mandy B
So the next clip we have, we transition.
A King
When they play Spin that at the party, he gonna be scanning the premises to see the behaviors.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. Who's dancing a certain kind of way?
Mandy B
No, no, no, I'm not gonna lie. I just saw a video with Brandon Jennings and Nick Young, baby.
CJ Toledano
They went, oh, you know. Oh, that was a very sassy dance party.
Mandy B
They was like spitting that shit.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, yeah, spitting that shit. You know that' about that song. Is that Men like that record?
A King
Yeah, but it's still. Is it Spend that. Yeah, spend. That's.
CJ Toledano
That's the. That's how words work, right? If you're one person, you're hearing one thing, and if you're somebody else, you're hearing something else.
Jason Rodriguez
So tell me what you hear right here, J. So Walka Flocka Flame. He's back in the headlines. He sat down with Tommy Lauren and he went back into his history with Donald Trump. Over. He says Calo. No, he says. What does he say?
Mandy B
He says Cala like the rest.
Jason Rodriguez
So let's hear. Let's hear some waka flocka real quick here in Nashville.
Mandy B
You told me I could ask you anything, so I'm going to start it off real hot, just jumping in. You ran for president. What do you think of President Trump? How's he doing so far? Yeah, I support him over Kamala Harris 100%. Why is that?
A King
Okay, he's better. Just like I supported KOBE Bryant O LeBron. Cuz, hey, Kobe Bryant's a better basketball player to me. But LeBron's the best, right? Now, I never voted for anybody in my life.
Mandy B
So you didn't vote for Donald Trump?
CJ Toledano
I haven't voted for nobody.
A King
No big feet people in the Oval Office.
Mandy B
No big feet people.
A King
I can hear you coming. I need.
CJ Toledano
I need. I need ninjas in my overall.
Mandy B
You're here in Nashville.
CJ Toledano
What does that even mean? I need no big feet people in the overall. I need ninjas in my. What is it? What is this talking about?
Mandy B
Well, we mind you and I like Waka Waka.
A King
You like Waka's music?
Mandy B
No, I like. Waka is a kind person. I like Waka. I like Waka's music. I wish Waka would just shut the fuck up sometimes.
A King
What do you know about that?
Mandy B
Because to me, I've said this from a political. From a political standpoint, if you are somebody who has never voted in your goddamn life, with zero desire to. For you to speak out or speak in favor of someone that you. That also does harm to our community, like, it just doesn't make the fuck sense.
CJ Toledano
For what?
Mandy B
For what?
CJ Toledano
What is the end of this? Like, you're not. So you're saying you're not voting, so you really don't have any skin in the middle. You never vote at all. You never voted ever. So you really don't have any skin in the game. Even in that question, she asked why. And he don't even have a reason. Just. He's better.
A King
Like what?
CJ Toledano
Like, yeah.
A King
And why did he keep. They have him come on these platforms and they never talk about anything else that's going on with him.
Mandy B
No.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, that whole thing was a bait. Cause, like, what else does Tommy Lauren wanna talk to Waka Flaka, to Waka
A King
Flocka about a black person in the hip hop community. New album?
Jason Rodriguez
Nah.
A King
No, right, right.
Mandy B
Wait, what does he have? I mean, I know he just announced he got a baby on the way, but I don't know about an out.
CJ Toledano
Like, yeah, if he does, I haven't heard anything about it.
A King
Congrats.
Mandy B
But, yeah, you're right. What does Tommy Lauren wanna sit with Waka Flocka for except to sit here
A King
and push the black identify more, see
CJ Toledano
if they fuck with us too?
A King
Another divisive negro. Let's platform him. Or her, depending on who it is.
Mandy B
Not his own device, Negro.
CJ Toledano
That is the. And it's funny, I was thinking about that this weekend. That is the new media trick, the new grift. But it never goes the other way. You're not gonna find many white conservatives who. Black people who've decided they wanna be Democrats now. And black people have attached themselves to and be like, come on and talk about how much you hate this Donald Trump or you hate Matt Gaetz or any of these Republican people. Niggas aren't interested in that. But white people love. That's the value of nigga.
Mandy B
Yep.
CJ Toledano
Like, the value of nigga is that I can use it however I want to. Whether I'm telling you you ain't shit or whether I'm embracing you because you're useful, you're a useful idiot to my agenda. I can use it however I want to. And it doesn't even matter. Like, that's how that construct is. Whatever y' all are on, we can take advantage of it in some kind of way. Like that. And that's how she's moving. Moving.
Mandy B
That's. That's exactly.
A King
That's how they move.
Mandy B
That's how they move.
A King
They're on cold.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, they're on cold with that. And they stick to that super hardcore. No deviate.
A King
Look, we're in June. The midterms we have.
Mandy B
Yeah.
A King
So you're gonna see the divisive happen all the time on these.
CJ Toledano
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's gonna ramp up. You're gonna see it.
Mandy B
Yeah. And I. I also just. It's like how I chose Kobe over Lebron.
A King
Like.
CJ Toledano
Like these weak ass analogies.
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host
Number one hits, millions of records sold awards, sold out tours. You think the Jonas Brothers are satisfied?
CJ Toledano
Nope.
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host
It's podcast time.
Mandy B
We get to ask other people questions. Cause we're sick and tired of being asked questions.
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host
A Jonas is available now, and their first guest is a big one, Paul Rudd.
CJ Toledano
You know, Steve Carell is a great singer.
Mandy B
Didn't he tell you not to audition
Jason Rodriguez
at the office or something?
CJ Toledano
I told him, whoa, we were filming Anchorman. Clearly I was the idiot. Thank God he. He didn't listen to me right.
Jonas Brothers Podcast Host

Keith Giamanca seemed like a mild mannered suburban dad, but secretly he became someone else, a master of disguise who went on a crime spree.
This is going to change my life and my family dynamic forever. Because everything that has had existed prior in my reality is now untrue.
Deep Cover Podcast Host
Listen to Deep Cover the Family man on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Mandy B
Speaking of Kobe over LeBron. This is not a sports podcast. But hold on.
A King
Yo, you mic'd up over there, right? All right, cool.
Mandy B
Uh, hey, hey, hey, yo, hey, yo, hey, yo, hey, yo, chill.
A King
Cause we outnumbered clearly.
Mandy B
Now, I have to start with this,
A King
because the Cancun nights, the vacationers, the vacation.
Mandy B
This is what I.
CJ Toledano
Oh, my God, Is this what's going on in the.
Mandy B
Houston.
CJ Toledano
New York. Jesus ate. Hey.
Mandy B
Okay, now double down. Take it back. The spurs losing these first two games, y' all deserve to lose the whole thing.
CJ Toledano
Y' all do. I will also say that is a fact.
Mandy B
New York. Y' all know, cuz I'm a New Yorker. New York.
A King
You are. You what?
Mandy B
Hold on. I'm a New Yorker. I just. Hold up. I have to. I'm still snatching that t. Fuck out of here. I have to say this. Hold on. First off, and I've always said New York is the best city in the world. And I've always said that it's the energy. It's. This is the first time I never want the finals to end. The content on the Internet right now. Hold on. The energy is nuts. I get to see snl, but with real people, no screen.
A King
Good point, good point, good point.
Mandy B
Like, the content on Instagram right now is by far. It shows the most. Like, Nick's fans are all on the spectrum. Nick's fans. And when I say spectrum, it's not just neurologically, it's emotionally and sexually.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, sexually.
Mandy B
Because the men, ladies, if your man got a Nick jersey on, is out there at the Garden saying that they will suck Brunson's dick.
A King
Yeah.
Mandy B
For this. Like, bro, the way that men are just coming out as gay for Brunson right now is like, okay, bro. By the way, ladies, these men are offering your coochie, your mama coochie, your daughter coochie, your grandmama coochie for this Knicks championship ring. Okay?
CJ Toledano
Dicks for Knicks.
Mandy B
Dicks for Knicks.
CJ Toledano
That's what they are right now. Dicks for Knicks.
Mandy B
It is. I'm not gonna lie. I saw a goddamn. And I was saying it before we started. Blue pasta and orange sauce. It was a Nick's Frigatoni, okay?
A King
Oh, you seen the bag?
Mandy B
Wait, there's Nick's bagels.
A King
The orange and blue bagels.
Mandy B
See what I mean?
CJ Toledano
That's disgusting.
Mandy B
When I say that's why they don't have Adam's apples.
CJ Toledano
Cause eating that blue dye and that
Mandy B
orange dye, I have enjoyed Knicks fans more than I have ever enjoyed Knicks fans in my life. Because normally it's delusion, Normally it's tears. Normally it's anger. Right?
A King
Frustration. Right.
Mandy B
It's a lot of frustration. And so this is the first time that y' all can actually really be excited without, like, being so angry. And I'm really enjoying happy Knicks fans.
A King
You could have said that. You could have minused that. And you said that part.
Mandy B
Nah, nah, I think so. Being in New York for 13 years, working as a bartender for about five or six of them, going out. Cause a bitch is an outside bitch. I haven't become a Knicks fan because it's been. It sounds like signing up to be a Knicks fan is like, I'm signing up for emotional distress. Like, I'm not a masochist. I don't want to hurt. I don't want to be in pain. I don't want to be upset every year.
A King
I just want to be in Cancun every year.
Mandy B
You know what I mean? I like the beach. I like the beach, and I just don't like. Listen, here. You go ahead and just start naming Diggas. Go ahead.
A King
I'm just saying. I've heard these narratives change. Listen, I think what we experiencing together is just the spirit of New York, period. New York. No matter if it's the Yankees. I wish it could be the Mets. Lord, please, somehow. But when they're winning, when they're performing well, this is the energy. You see, I think what happens is now we got social media. And not only social media, the Knicks OG players are participating in it. You know, you see J.R. smith. Everyone except for Charles Smith. We'll get to that,
Mandy B
Angela. Gotta make the call.
A King
You see J.R. smith outside with the blunt, and he's getting pushed over.
Mandy B
No, he got pushed over and he
A King
still held the blunt in his hand.
CJ Toledano
He did keep hold of that blunt.
A King
It's a moment. New York is having a good moment, despite what's going on in society. And I love it for us, and I love it for everybody else who's
Mandy B
witnessed, and I love that we as a team are gonna get to enjoy game three and four in the Garden now. Well, not in the Garden in New York. Cause, baby, them tickets. Ghetto. Wait, Jason. Y' all ain't got no tickets for the station? Like, Hot 97 don't get to go to the Guardian. I know, Cass.
Jason Rodriguez
We did a watch party. We had the mayor come to a watch party. We did. There's no bus lanes to tickets here.
A King
I think that's what we get you.
Jason Rodriguez
Tickets to Summer Jam.
Mandy B
Shout out to edda.
A King
And he DJ'd that.
Mandy B
Okay.
A King
Shot the Edinburgh. I heard that, Jason, too, if you want to slide some tickets over here, too. But the thing is, it's a cool experience. You know what I mean?
Mandy B
It's cool.
A King
They deserved It. They earn it. They earning it. You know what I mean?
Mandy B
I do hate that we're proving and
A King
naysay is wrong every quarter.
Mandy B
I hate that Trump is about to rain on this parade as well.
CJ Toledano
Yeah, that's fucked up.
Mandy B
So game three takes place tonight, guys, while we're recording this. And they are telling. So the outside watch parties are not taking place any longer, which is good for the bars. More for the bars.
CJ Toledano
Yeah.
Mandy B
And then they are telling people with tickets who spent all this money that they need to show up three hours
A King
before the game with clear bags.
Mandy B
If you guys want to get through the thing now, Jason is.
Jason Rodriguez
There's lines outside already right now.
Mandy B
Wait, there is?
A King
Yeah, it's 34th Street. I bet they're not playing.
Mandy B
Not. They gotta wear diapers, like.
A King
And I think every. This is probably gonna be the most watched sporting event today in a long time because of. Not just cause the Knicks are in the finals. But where's he gonna sit?
Mandy B
He's sitting in a suite. He's not sitting corset.
A King
Him and Dolan are best. I don't know besties, but they're cool. They have a good relationship.
Mandy B
He in a suite.
A King
Does he sit with.
Mandy B
He not sitting courtside.
CJ Toledano
Well, the fucked up part about it is I'll be surprised if he even stays for the whole game. Cause like the nigga.
A King
I think he will because it's who he is.
CJ Toledano
But how long. Okay, so let me ask you this. How long before they catch him on camera sleep?
A King
What if they don't?
CJ Toledano
He's not seeing the game at all. Just somewhere. Not at all. That'll be nasty.
Mandy B
That'd be so nasty.
CJ Toledano
You caused all of this shit out
A King
here, but he's a New Yorker just
CJ Toledano
to go to sleep in that part.
Mandy B
He's a New Yorker and I forget that sometimes.
A King
So that's the thing.
Mandy B
There's gonna. He has pride as well, like.
A King
So the way he's a Nick fan,
Mandy B
probably most likely he's a Knick fan, right?
A King
Well, he might be a Dolan fan.
Jason Rodriguez
I think he's like, go.
CJ Toledano
That's how I see him as ghost sports. I don't see him as being knowledgeable in any way, shape or form about any sport whatsoever.
Mandy B
Also, he knows about. No, he's had a lot to say about football. We talked about him last week. Even with a person, he literally has a golf course. Trump is probably a typical New Yorker. And a typical New Yorker is a sports fanatic.
A King
I think he returns back to who
Drink Champs Host
he
A King
prior to becoming president, who he was in the celebrity aspect of it, how we saw him navigating through hip hop sports.
CJ Toledano
So here's the other question.
A King
This might be his closer to that tonight than any other.
Mandy B
Do you think he goes to game four as well or is he just at game three?
A King
No, I hope not. Hope the fuck not.
Mandy B
Hope the fuck not.
A King
He got more shit to worry about than game four, bro.
CJ Toledano
Here's the question. Obviously he's going to the game. They're going to put him on a jumbotron. Does he get booed?
Mandy B
Yes.
CJ Toledano
Is it going to be. Is it mixed? No, but is it mixed? Is it a full on booing? Is it just a smattering?
Mandy B
I think the booze are going to be louder than the nine. So he gonna get booed, bro.
A King
So New York is. I think you're gonna have the ones who just wanna be respectful and I think you're gonna have the ones who was like outside of like when they greeted the San Antonio spurs the other yesterday and they saw them coming out the building and they was like yo, pack it up, keep that bus running. You know. Then you get those people who say what they gonna say to him.
CJ Toledano
Well the other part of the content is gonna be celebrities reacting to his viewers because they're gonna show em and they're instantly gonna go to Ben Stiller and Spike Lee and Chalamet and Kylie Jenner and whoever and whoever bought them
A King
them $280,000 pair of tickets or the ones who won the auction for 500 grand. Who are those people?
CJ Toledano
Who are those people? They're going right to their.
A King
Are they doing that because he's there? What about. What's Incredible Hulk? The dude who played Incredible Hulk in Marvel. Is he gonna be there? Just because he's been anti. Very establishment for him.
CJ Toledano
Very, very anti. So yeah, it's gonna be interesting to see how that shit plays out.
Mandy B
Jason, is this a conversation in the city? Like what is the consensus of him showing up every day?
Jason Rodriguez
Everybody thinks that they gonna. He's gonna ruin the vibe. Like people wanna be outside. They think he's messing it up and fucking it up and they're hoping that he doesn't ruin the street.
A King
That's the problem.
CJ Toledano
Yeah. Cause that. Listen what is navigating through the whole. Y' all lose two in a row after Trump going there. They gonna burn Trump Tower down.
A King
See, I can't even. Jason is a Philly fan so I can't really yomi. You see how they try to throw this.
Jason Rodriguez
I'll tell you, I'm rooting for the Sweep. I'm rooting for the sweep. If the spurs win, I'm rooting for the Spurs. But right now, I'm rooting for the sweep.
A King
So my older brother was saying that he hoped they lose one so they could win in San Antonio. And I say, no, I don't want that. I want to get the fucking. We don't know what's going to happen in July getting me the win.
Mandy B
Seeing that San Antonio didn't take one at home in game one or two. I would now, just for the sake of. No, actually, I don't want New York to go underwater because that's might happen. They're not going to burn it if they win. No, but what I'm saying is to see the Knicks win in the Garden in a sweep, I think that chaos.
A King
We've got chills.
Mandy B
Oh, yeah. No, it would literally be something that would be so magnificent to be able to witness.
CJ Toledano
Yeah.
A King
Yeah.
CJ Toledano
The spectacle of it is gonna be crazy.
Mandy B
The spectacle of it. The way the city has already been.
A King
It won't just be a parade, y'.
CJ Toledano
All. No.
A King
It's going to be a continuum of dope vibes. Spike Lee said, yo, we doing a block party in Fort Greene. Yeah, yeah. It's gonna be so much shit that extends past the summer. All the cleaning. Everybody's winning, bro.
Mandy B
I saw online, someone said a Knicks championship and three stadium shows by Jay Z. This summer's gonna be knitting up. It's a very New York summer.
CJ Toledano
Very much.
Mandy B
It's a very New York World cup
CJ Toledano
game.
Mandy B
There's parts of it in New York, right? New York, Atlanta, California and Canada.
CJ Toledano
Philly got a game, too.
Mandy B
Philly, I think got a. Well, I'm excited. I do get to be in New York during game three and four.
CJ Toledano
I know the group chat. I'm sure the group chat will be very live.
Mandy B
The group chat will be.
CJ Toledano
I'm sure the group chat will be very live.
Mandy B
Me and Akeem gonna be together for game four. Maybe yomi. Jason, we gotta see where we can connect. I'll see you in the morning, though. This is great. I'm loving playoff basketball. I don't want it to end. Am I double downing or taking anything?
A King
Can I make a request?
Mandy B
What's the request?
A King
Since you got this dope new hairstyle now?
Mandy B
Yes. Yes.
A King
If we win, can we get an orange and blue skies on your head and blue skies.
Mandy B
Why would y' all want that?
A King
Would be six.
Mandy B
That's why. Spurs and 60s nuts. Okay. I'm not dyeing my hair orange and blue. No what are you wearing to the watch party?
A King
Don't be disrespectful.
CJ Toledano
They said.
Jason Rodriguez
They said Mandy's wearing the trump sneakers, right?
CJ Toledano
The gold, the golden.
Mandy B
Oh, black. That means you wearing spurs colors. No, they're gray. They're gray, see?
A King
Now, in that essence, the bodyguard, whoever, the doorman, should not let her in. And you can't. Come on. Don't do that.
Mandy B
I mean, I'll give me a little Knicks top or something. Put some bedazzles on it. It'll be cute. It'll be cute. I ain't playing with y' all anywh. Who you going?
A King
Pull up. You going to pull up, Job. You got to pull up.
CJ Toledano
Absolutely not.
A King
You saw what they did. You saw the content. They had that dude had on Atlanta Hawk Jersey walking through 34. They like, give me that.
CJ Toledano
Give me that. They should have that. Yeah, absolutely not.
Mandy B
No, I'm not going to lie. I'm excited. Y' all see we got the. The. The. The Knicks banner up there, and it's always on your head, so you can't buy no merch. Who?
A King
Shit. You go to anywhere.
CJ Toledano
Oh, I'm sure it's sold out.
A King
Oh, my God. It's like, oh, you ain't getting that shit till September.
Mandy B
It's okay. I'm gonna get the scalpers. The one making the fake merch. Hey, they selling it. They got it. They got the two for 20. Okay. Right outside 30, they are making that merch right outside Penn Station.
A King
You can get some tourist joints that have the. I love Big Apple, I love New York. Those stores. Oh, they killing it right now.
Mandy B
By the way, before we get out of here, are y' all upset that the organization did not lift the ban on Charles Oakley to attend?
CJ Toledano
Dolan is a petty bitch. Yeah. And he's been a petty bitch for his entire ownership. 10 year over the Knicks. So it doesn't surprise me at all that he's fucking doing this shit to Oak. That's dirty.
A King
What it shows me, though, whatever is the root of the issue, it's deeper than we know. It's deeper than what we know because. Because when you have the others that show up who have been advocating for them to have some peace look at, they don't have an issue. You got Pat, you got lj. You got fucking clock, obviously.
Mandy B
And they're saying they would like him there.
A King
I think Adam. Yeah.
CJ Toledano
Allen Houston was fought in the front office. Oh, that's true. Yeah, he is.
A King
So I think Adam Silva said that they tried to make peace, but it's up to Dolan.
Mandy B
When the commissioner couldn't even make anything
A King
shake, he travels to, you know, when they do the weight games. But, yeah, you know, well, hopefully he. Listen, I hope he's a king.
Jason Rodriguez
This one's for you, Aking.
A King
I hope he's there. Game four.
CJ Toledano
Uh.
A King
Oh, what we got?
Jason Rodriguez
I'm saying Nixon for Inshallah.
CJ Toledano
Let's go.
Mandy B
Inshallah.
Jason Rodriguez
That was a mayor hit. The biggest challenge.
CJ Toledano
Like, never mind the socialism. Never mind the free daycare for kids. Never mind attacks on the 1%. Keeping this fucking city under control under any circumstance, win or lose, is gonna be his biggest challenge of his mayoral tenure.
Mandy B
Cause I don't know how the fuck. I don't know how long he has to be mayor. All I know is he is setting him up very well to run for president at this point.
Jason Rodriguez
Oh, yeah, like, he can't run for president.
CJ Toledano
He's like, oh, he's not. Oh, yeah, he's not born yet.
Mandy B
Oh, he's not born yet.
Jason Rodriguez
He's born.
Mandy B
Never mind.
CJ Toledano
And there's no wait.
Mandy B
He could be vice. No Vice. Gotta.
A King
I think.
CJ Toledano
I think vice. I'm not 100% sure about that, but I think the vice president has to be born in the middle.
Mandy B
Well, then he gonna be. He gonna be a mayor as his goddamn.
CJ Toledano
They put him in the cabinet.
Mandy B
Who was. Who was the one?
CJ Toledano
Secretary
Mandy B
Julian.
CJ Toledano
Juliani.
A King
Yeah. I hate she put the accent,
Mandy B
but I just felt like he was the mayor for, like, my whole childhood. He was there for a long time, but, like, he was there for a long time. Anyways, hope y' all enjoyed. Hosts: Mandii B & WeezyWTF (with A King, Jason Rodriguez, and CJ Toledano)
Network: The Black Effect & iHeartPodcasts
This episode of "Selective Ignorance" (a subseries from Decisions, Decisions) takes an unfiltered and humorous dive into the internet’s hottest topics of the week—including celebrity OnlyFans drama, the controversial Texas “Carmelo Anthony” trial and jury bias, reproductive rights and online backlash, explicit celebrity statements on LGBTQIA+ inclusion, political posturing in hip-hop, and the euphoria (and potential chaos) surrounding Knicks basketball in the NBA finals.
Mandii B, alongside super producer Jason Rodriguez, A King, and frequent guest CJ Toledano, explore themes of accountability, cancel culture, and the complexity of public discourse, always with a lens that challenges outdated societal norms and an unapologetically candid style.

The conversation is candid, self-reflective, often hilarious, and raw—full of personal stories, roasted celebrities, and regular “that’s wild!” moments. The hosts blend vulnerability and boldness, pushing listeners to question their own biases, recognize complexity, and laugh their way through discomfort.
For listeners who missed the episode:
You’ll leave with a comprehensive snapshot of public controversies, a better understanding of race/class/gender in modern America, and a sense that the most “ignorant” takes are often just unfiltered honesty in disguise. And if you’re a Knicks fan? Welcome to the mayhem.
