If you would like to have us answer your questions. If you have a terrible job, a terrible boyfriend, or a terrible thruffle, guess what? You've got decisions.
Tara
You. You got decisions. And I do too. Bye. Yay. So sorry did that. Because save the cheerleader, save the world. If you guys, you know, know that that means you are my sci fi motherfucking sister or brother. Oh, power to us. It's from Heroes, which is a early 2000s sci fi show that I just binge watched for the last three days on Netflix. And it was so good.
Weezy
I want to watch. I will find you'd so good.
Tara
I finished that too.
Weezy
Not as good as the polygamist.
Tara
Oh, the polygamist saw that too. I told you to watch that. You were like, it's 20 episodes too much. I said, is good.
Weezy
We watched it on our Euro trip. It kept us in the house for a night. Literally. We was about to leave and he was like, man, we've been in Paris already.
Tara
Let's just say let's bro. Every. Every time I looked up, I said, oh, the episode got to be ending. What more can happen? It listen. That was crazy.
Weezy
I used to listen to that. So you can catch up with us on a cinema.
Tara
Yeah, we going to do cinema of that hole right there.
Weezy
Before we get into the letter, I saw that. The subject is, I broke up with my high school sweetheart. So I wanted to ask you, Peanut, High school, did you go or did you get an invite for your 10 year high school reunion? Like, would you have gone? Cuz I don't know if you went. You didn't talk about it. But.
Tara
So high school is interesting for me because I went to four. I went to four high schools. So junior freshman year, I went to Dr. Phillips in Orlando. Then I split my sophomore year between Orlando and Atlanta. I went to Oak Ridge High School and Lakeside High School. And then I split my junior year back and graduated from Evans. So I went to dp, Oak Ridge, Lakeside, and ehai. So for me, even by the time I did my senior year, I Only took two classes and worked. So my high school experience was. I just. I don't have a strong connection to any one particular high school. I have memories for each grade, but I don't think a 10 year anniversary makes sense for me because I wasn't there. I wasn't out of high school for any longer than two years at any given moment. So, like, I don't have that connection.
Weezy
Oh, I get that.
Tara
I think I have a stronger connection with my middle school, but that's really. That's really kind of bittersweet because a lot of. A lot of the middle school boys from the middle school I went to shout out to Walker Middle School. A lot of them ended up getting locked up and killed. Like. Like, I remember, like, dealing with two deaths in high school.
Weezy
I did, too.
Tara
I went to, like, yeah, like. And then a lot of them are locked up. Some of them reach out to me, like on the Facebook. But I look at everybody. No one has, like, my life. And I just don't feel connected to what they don't. A lot like, they don't. They don't.
Weezy
What does that mean?
Tara
It's like, it's real homegrown lives, like, not anything else.
Weezy
Most people in our lives, I feel like, aren't.
Tara
I know. Good. Good for y'.
Weezy
All.
Tara
Having the kids, having the husbands, living in the same homes that y' all grew up in. Like, I. It's just real country. And I don't think people assume that Orlando's like a country city. But when I go back, like, mind you, none of my high schools even look the same. Uh, they tore down Oak Ridge and Evans, and then DP also has been restructured. My high schools don't even look the same.
Weezy
You know, I kind of love that some of my friends are exactly who they were when I left Orlando. Not that I don't want them to elevate, but I don't know if I had this conversation with you. I feel like I did maybe on a town hall. But my friends with simple lives are happy. Happier than my friends that are making a bunch of money and working in entertainment and blah, blah, blah. And the other layer to them. They all have some kind of property ownership paid off. Cars. Maybe their cars are older, but I think there's something to be. No, I talked about this on my braider. She was from Orlando too, and we just randomly found out she's a LA braider. Right? Shout out to Evie does la. She did Beyonce's braids and now she did mine. I call very important but while we sitting down talking about Orlando, I was like, bruh, all of my friends in Orlando own a crib and none of my friends in New York and LA really do. Some of them do, but they're like
Tara
either super wealthy, like is so different, bro.
Weezy
You know, that's what I'm saying though. So when we talk about terms of success or having somebody's life, like they have a lot of the check mark things that, you know, I'm watching, I'm just bringing her up because I was just ch. Chatting with her. She's like, I think I'm a traditional and a modern wife. Sarah Fontanel. A lot of women are watching that content about becoming a wife. And all these back home kind of did not that I think a really identify as anything because some of you hate your niggas.
Tara
A lot of you do, you know, a lot.
Weezy
That is the thing that they tell us we're supposed to have, get married, have babies, buy a home, blah, blah, blah. And they've all kind of done it. So I think it looks different. Maybe it doesn't look like maybe the nice apartments that we rent, but at the end of the day, they do have a net worth and they've grown themselves. So I feel there's a sense of humility that I get when I go to Orlando sometimes because I just became a homeowner at 35 years old. Well, I guess 34, whatever, in January. But I've been making money for a long time and I didn't really do that. I grew businesses before I kind of like planted my roots. And I just wondered, did that kind of like make me go far back, even now planning a wedding? Maybe some of you saw I posted on my story a few weeks ago. My man and I looked up the wedding we want, the wedding I want. And you know, it's about a quarter million dollars. That's the truth. I know that weddings can be done for $50,000. That's not the case for the things I like, the fantasy wedding that I want, the DJs I want to play at my wedding, the caviar I want, the nice champagne, the experiential things I want my guests to have and my friends, you know what I mean? Like the maybe 175, but it is what it is. Weddings are expensive when you have all these big dreams. And so the second we look at a number like that, he's like, let's just buy another crib. Like, why would we have another crib? More properties. You know what I'm saying, like, I get it, that's where our head starts to go because we start attaining different shit.
Tara
Whereas I think, I mean, and, and I. And I want to correct in what I said because I'm not saying that none of them are happy or successful to me though. Like, I just really don't have a lot in common with people who have those check marked ideals of life. I don't want kids, don't care about them, don't bring them around, don't want to see the pictures of them, don't care. I don't care about
Weezy
quite a few.
Tara
But that's what I'm saying but for. Right. So why do you think I want to go to a reunion of a whole bunch of strangers and talk about their lives that I don't care about? I barely care about the ones I don't care about kids like that.
Weezy
Like I will tell you though, becoming a mom, not becoming a wife because we other people, but becoming a mom scares me. And losing friendships, not losing them. That's the wrong word. Not being as close as I once was. Not many of my friends are moms unless their kids are like 10, 12 or some shit.
Tara
Oh, I'm not gonna lie. My main core group right now I realize is Crystal and Jazz. My two friends with no kids.
Weezy
Of course. Yeah.
Tara
And like the way that it's funny. Cause probably once a month, bitch Crystal be calling me like, bitch, we made the right motherfucking decision. Jazz will call me like, girl, I get another dog before I deal with what the fuck these bitches dealing with. And so like, she got one dog, three cats, and she's like, bitch, and I'll get another one before I sit here and deal with the shit that these bitches is dealing with with their baby daddies. Bro, I'm not mad. Like, baby daddy is scary. The baby daddy shit is the ghetto.
Weezy
Listen, I'm not saying marriage is exempt cause a nigga could do you dirty. But that shit. Speaking of.
Tara
Actually, what you just asked was very similar to what our letter is this week, y'. All. If you like that on purpose. Oh, look at you. Look at you, producer bitch.
Weezy
I said, speaking of high school, what our letter's about.
Tara
Oh, come on, produce it.
Weezy
It's time to bring your voice and energy to Chime. You're not just reading lines. You're introducing your audience to America's number one choice for banking. Here's something my younger self would have benefited from. Most of us picked a bank at 16 and never looked back. Sound familiar? So let's be honest. Everyone hates banks fees. Look, I'm sure we all know someone who could use some real talk about their finances. That's where Chime comes in. Changing the way that people bank. They're not like traditional old banks who charge fees and gatekeep perks and rewards. Chime offers the most rewarding fee. Free banking. All with no overdraft fees, no monthly fees, no minimum balance fees. You get 5% cash back on Chime card in a category of choices like gas or groceries. All while building credit through regular everyday spending. With no credit check, you can also grow your money faster with a saving rate that's nine times the national average. And if you're ever in a pinch, Spot me is going to let you overdraft up to $200 fee free. Honestly, my younger self really would have benefited from this. And I'm so happy that I'm able to endorse this today because I was up to the knees in overdraft fees. But not with Chime. Join the millions who are already banking fee free with America's number one choice for banking. Head to chime.com decisions that's chime.com decisions.

Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited Premium Wireless for $15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun if we made $15 bills but it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try@mintmobile.com switch upfront payment

All. If you want to send a letter into us, send it to decisionspodmail.com and we'll give y' all our unofficial expert advice on whatever the fuck you are having a dilemma with. This one's interesting because it takes us on a little curveball which I enjoyed while I was reading. Come on Kirby.
Weezy
Like I did.
Tara
Let's do it. So I ended up breaking up with my high school sweetheart and my daughter's dad. Look at it. Here we go. Baby daddies. After years of feeling like I wasn't being chosen or prioritized. Damn, you gave that nigga a whole kid and don't feel chosen. Prioritized. See what I mean? Anyway, we had talked about it.
Weezy
Oh, my God, Mandy, that's not good.
Tara
I'm just saying, I don't care. That's what they be doing. That's why I don't want one. We had talked about it multiple times, but nothing really changed. About five days after we broke up, he went on a trip back to our hometown that had already been planned. I had a feeling that trip would tell me everything I needed to know. And it did. A few weeks later, I found out he flew his co worker out there and also had another woman from back home around his family. He was apparently telling people we had broken up. Well, bitch, y' all did. When I first wrote in, I talked about never being courted. No flowers, no dates, no intentional one on one time. Then I found out he booked a waterfront hotel and dinner for his coworker. That honestly confirmed everything I'd been feeling about never being chosen. After that, I started taking someone new more seriously. We've been dating for about three months, and things are moving fast. We're talking about moving in together and even small matching tattoos. I know I ain't gonna hold you. I done made that one of my, you know, like, I don't want kids. I don't wanna move in. I don't want certain things. I done told you don't wanna put
Weezy
a n name on you.
Tara
No, not name. I done told both niggas we need matching tattoos. Oh, you do? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I said, we just got to do matching tattoos. I said, I don't care. It's a little king and queen. I don't care if it's something gotta match.
Weezy
I did feel like once I had a matching tattoo, I was like.
Tara
We're like, yeah, for life. And I said, and I'm fine with you.
Weezy
They're friends all the time. We have matching tattoos. Are friends.
Tara
And both. And both my. I got magic tattoos with friends. Well, one ain't even a friend no more. But it's okay. It's okay. It's okay.
Weezy
I only know crystal.
Tara
No, I have another one. But anyways, anyways, let's not go too much on that. I actually did me and my mom get one. Me and my sister got. Yeah, I got magic tattoos with a couple people, but not none of my niggas. Anyways, this thing. The thing is, I genuinely love who he is and how he treats me. So my question is, can feelings this strong after only three months be real? Is it possible this is genuine love? Or am I subconsciously using this relationship to get over someone I spent the last 10 years with? Side note, my ex and I still live together, and things eventually became physical after he found out I was seeing someone else. Ooh. That completely closed the door for me. And I know that situation has made me even more ready to move out, but I also know my feelings for this new person feel very real. And I'm trying to figure out if I'm seeing this clearly. Okay, now I don't know if you gonna like what I have to say.
Weezy
Oh, I was gonna say what you had to say. Go ahead.
Tara
Because you just met this man three months ago. In your mind, you're second guessing if this just feels good because it's the next person you're running to right after this person. But the fact that y' all are also talking about moving in together, I need to know if that was before or after the physical abuse from the baby daddy that you've been with for the last decade that you still live with. Because this could all genuinely just be a trauma and emotional response, knowing that you and this guy are just enjoying time with each other. You could be. What's the word? When you make things bigger than what they really are.
Weezy
Not imagining.
Tara
Start with an E or something.
Weezy
Emphasize.
Tara
Wait, maybe. No, no, you could be. Whatever you could be doing. Yeah, there you go. I knew it started with an E. You could be exaggerating even the great treatment that you're feeling from this person. Also knowing and feeling hurt by your ex and baby daddy showing up for women in ways he didn't show up for you. Like. So this could be you literally creating a scenario that is making you feel like you're getting a better treatment and a better relationship and have an opportunity to leave a now situation that you now emotionally know is absolutely over, especially because he put his hands on you.
Weezy
So I don't even know where to start, because once you said the book, the Waterfront hotel, and all that, I was done.
Tara
But he ain't do that for you.
Weezy
Let me tell you. Now, y' all know I ain't scared to lose a. However, I hope he never hears this, but I've had this conversations with my friends so many times. Because people in open relationship, People that are in open relationships always have to explain how you could cheat. Cheating for us is mainly lying or crossing a boundary.
Tara
Yes.
Weezy
Now would I forgive.
Tara
Don't let me find something out now. Someone else without finding it out from you.
Weezy
Hello. So I had this conversation with somebody that was like, y' all are hella in love. And everybody that's around us can see that. What if there was a time in a place where you wanted to be monogamous? Because right now we both love what we're doing, and he stepped outside of that, would you believe that he wouldn't do you dirty? I was like, of course. I don't think he couldn't, like, bitch, am I sorry I almost said the R word. I feel like anybody could lie. The only things that I feel guaranteed in knowing I don't have a shy steep. And by that I mean I really believe I could be at a party with my man and a girl could be holding her titties in her hand and want to him in the bathroom. He'd be like, let me. Let me go get my. Hold on. She real cool. He doesn't want to embarrass me. He's a very loyal man. He really takes pride in making sure we honor each other. I made a joke once, like, you know, you don't be taking good pictures. Da da. And he was like, don't be saying that in front of people. Don't ever put me like, I. And I was like, uber pictures. He's like, no, you don't understand. We uplift each other at all times. Like, we always have to make sure that what we put out into this world, celebrating each other, loving on each other, is always speaking highly and positive. And that was really early on in our relationship. And so what's translated to that is respecting me. I'm going as far as to say, if I found out my nigga was fucking a bitch back home, wherever that could be, I'm gonna get mad, but it might. Whatever. If I found out he had that picture.
Tara
The hotel. A waterfront hotel. Hold on. Waterfront. Waterfront. Waterfront.
Weezy
I tired of this motherfucking baby.
Tara
This baby crying.
Weezy
I got stretch marks. Oh, and I'm gonna tell you why I think that's disrespectful. I think there are so many ways that we could tell someone to show up for us, and once they start. Start doing so much shit, that's a big fuck you. Because saying like, oh, no, no, no.
Tara
Well, what do you mean? This, this, that.
Weezy
But it's so simple for you to do it with someone else.
Tara
I mean, not only that, I think you. You leaving out the other disrespectful part.
Weezy
The hitting bitch.
Tara
He brought a whole I mean, the physical abuse is not okay.
Weezy
I think you feel like we're having a conversation anymore, like, we're done brought
Tara
a whole bitch around. The family. They've been together for the last 10 years and got kids. So, you know, the family ran back.
Weezy
The family was it. I made a joke about the Waterfront Hotel, but the family. That's what I meant by when I said right into it. That's embarrassing, bitch.
Tara
Bro, five days after we broke up, you paraded another bitch in front of the family. Now we have that. I've known for the last 10 years. My. I don't like having a plot.
Weezy
Niggas murders. And that's what I'm saying by like, yeah, you made me a joke. The Waterfront Hotel. I'm being silly, but having people around a woman that I will now be around makes me a joke. And now you've embarrassed me. And to take me to the point where I'm a fucking joke. Oh, I'm done. To me, yeah. I've been through physical abuse, and I've been so emotionally hurt by people. It's not that I would ever want to go back, but I can remember more painful wounds from the way that men have treated me versus being hit by one. And there's something about physical abuse for anyone that's ever experienced it. I will definitely have to put a trigger warning in this, where it's like, sometimes the words cut deeper, dog. Like, the way niggas will talk to you, the way they say unforgivable shit is hard, the way they do unforgivable shit. You know what I mean? Like, I think.
Tara
I think that's always been the thing for me. And maybe this is me coming from my friends having the most foulest mouths to me. Yeah. I mean, and this also comes from, again, my own ignorance and my experience. I've never had a man put his hands on me. So for me, there's been things said that somehow have been forgiven. I don't know how I would ever forgive a man who put hands on me. Like, that's something that. I mean, and maybe that comes from.
Weezy
Well, you can. Cause they'll do it again.
Tara
But. No, but that's what I'm saying. Like, they're gonna do it again. If a nigga lay his hands on you, he gonna do it again. And sometimes it gets to where not only does it get worse, they start using weapons. They like, oh, I think I know
Weezy
what I was trying to say when I said that. Okay, you leave a nigga quicker when it hits you, but Sometimes you should. You know what?
Tara
Well, you know what's crazy? You should. You should.
Weezy
But for some reason, when we get in a bad argument or whatever, we forgive somebody, but then you're like, fuck, but you did that thing. But you said that thing. Because we think the highest patina of pain is physical, and it's really not. And that's why when we had the I'm not scared to lose a nigga conversation, you know what I'm saying? And she said, he could hit me, and I'm. He's dead. Which I believe. I don't think Tara would take a man being abusive to her. However, verbal abuse is another fucking layer.
Tara
There is. I do think it does, though, depend on what's said. And I say this. And what's crazy is hearing you say this is because. Oh, and maybe it's because we're so good right now and somehow we've gotten past it. I've said some awful things to you about you that should have been unforgiving and vice versa. But I think we were able to get over that bitch. If we, like, got into a physical, I'm not like, well, we did get into a physical fight. Never mind.
Weezy
Never mind.
Tara
Bitch, don't mind me. Yo, I was emotional.
Weezy
I was like, I don't let her cheat.
Tara
Actually, Weezy, we cannot talk about abuse anymore. We in our relationship have had physical, verbal, emotional. Like, we've had all the abuses, financial. We done did all the abuses to each other. At one point, I used to feel like, remember? I forgot we got in a physical fight. We can't talk about this anymore. Never mind.
Weezy
We don't know this is sister. We just know you shouldn't be with him. That's all we know.
Tara
Just don't be. But also, the question is, yes, you can fall for somebody within three months. Yes, it could be real. It could last long. You could get married and have cute little kids later. All the things. However, right now you are experiencing being hurt both physically and emotionally from someone that not only you gave a child to, but someone you spent the last decade of your life with.
Weezy
I don't even know how I would feel about having another kid. Like, bro, yeah.
Tara
Like, so to me, and you still live with this nigga.
Weezy
Physical abuse is so scary now that I'm about to get married. You know, you talk about prenups and post nups and all this shit, right?
Tara
Oh, I'm putting. I would put that in.
Weezy
Do you know physical abuse is something that is when it was coming up in discussion, not with him like, I was just looking at stuff and I was like, is so far removed from my brain on this person. I know, holy shit. What would my life be like? I see him interact with his nieces. He's such a soft and gentle uncle. See him with his mother. How that will fuck my head up. I can't imagine the pain you're experiencing for the person you've known 10 years.
Tara
And for this to be the first time he ever did this.
Weezy
I really have a lot of empathy. I don't think it's the first time you've seen his rage. I think it's the first time he
Tara
laid his hands on you. Cause, bitch, look at. He could sit here and parade another bitch around your family. He could take another bitch to a waterfront hotel and you tell him you got somebody in the picture. And now he want a motherfucking bruised ego. Ass faced, ass, fuck ass, puss ass motherfucker. Like, this is what I'm saying. Niggas can't take what they dish out.
Weezy
Mm.
Tara
Break up with that nigga. I say move on. But I will say that you need time to heal. Because I don't think that you need to sit here and find someone to just be a rebound who's gonna like, you need to find yourself and be whole as a single mother, as a woman who knows what she's not gonna deal with again. And I think you could still keep seeing this guy. I think three months is way too early to move in with somebody N. Way, way too early. Way too early.
Weezy
Shouldn't have had a roommate move in in three months.
Tara
No, three months is way too early.
Weezy
Actually, his name is Meaning. And we're still friends, but other than
Tara
that, no coming from a who in the last two, three years know about three that made babies with a they knew for three months and it didn't end well.
Weezy
So, see, because Mandy lives in Atlanta. You see what's going on?
Tara
No, no, this is. This is Florida shit. This is California shit. Isn't he in Georgia? No, two Florida shits a California shit. Yeah. Nah, this other state shit. This ain't no Atlanta shit. Bitch don't be trying to put everything on the A hole anyway, though.
Weezy
Yeah, it happened in New York.
Tara
Wait, bitch, I'm lying. One is Atlanta. You right. You was right. You was right and was. I had to think about it. And her ass did do that from Tinder. Terrible. Oh, all right. Yeah, girl, she found out he a whole new nigga child.
Weezy
Girl, I already know. Okay, we can. We can.

Podcast Summary: "You've Got Decisions: Can You Really Catch Feelings in Three Months?"
Decisions, Decisions – The Black Effect Podcast Network & iHeartPodcasts
Date: August 5, 2026
Hosts: Mandii B (appears as "Tara" in transcript) & WeezyWTF
This episode dives deep into the raw realities of moving on from long-term relationships, healing after heartbreak, and whether it's truly possible—or wise—to catch genuine, lasting feelings for someone new after only three months. Mandii B and Weezy bring their trademark blend of humor, candor, and vulnerability to a listener letter that raises big questions about love, trauma responses, and personal growth after pain.
Letter Summary:
A listener leaves her high school sweetheart and the father of her child due to feeling "unprioritized." After witnessing her ex treat other women with more care—plus experiencing physical abuse—she begins dating someone new. After three months, things get serious (talks of moving in, matching tattoos). She asks: are her new feelings real, or simply a trauma response?
Mandii advises caution and self-reflection:
Weezy gets personal about open relationships, boundaries, and respect:
Both hosts condemn the ex's actions and emphasize self-worth:
On the possibility of real love in three months:
Mandii (on not relating to traditional paths):
“I just really don't have a lot in common with people who have those check marked ideals of life. I don't want kids, don't care about them, don't bring them around, don't want to see the pictures of them, don't care.” (07:36)
Weezy (on measuring success):
“My friends with simple lives are happy. Happier than my friends that are making a bunch of money and working in entertainment…” (04:36)
Mandii (on new love):
“Yes, you can fall for somebody within three months. Yes, it could be real. It could last long. You could get married and have cute little kids later. All the things. However, right now you are experiencing being hurt both physically and emotionally from someone that not only you gave a child to, but someone you spent the last decade of your life with.” (23:48)
Weezy (on boundaries in open relationships): “Cheating for us is mainly lying or crossing a boundary.” (17:12)
Mandii (on physical abuse cycles):
“If a nigga lay his hands on you, he gonna do it again. And sometimes it gets to where ... they start using weapons.” (21:53)
Weezy (on emotional pain):
“I can remember more painful wounds from the way that men have treated me versus being hit by one. ... sometimes the words cut deeper, dog.” (20:28)
