I have no clue. All I can tell you is that there's a project on that ship that requires a number of type 3s. 12, in fact. And I think the prudent thing to do would be to go find out for ourselves.

For years. Worked me. Worked me and others. Criminals mostly. Serving time. Offered chances to get out. Reality. Was the project. Much worse, far as I know. Only one that survived. Only one left.

You were target number one for Axiom Ist. For a long time.

I don't work for them anymore.

Looking to raid this empty ship. Suicidal? Seems like just the three of us.

[Locke]

Four. One more. Tech expert. She's at a refinery in the sector. Figuring out where Our mysterious MD ship is hacking the Guild's computers.

[Killian Sager]

Minus Guild would know why?

[Locke]

Because Macedorian contracted with them to supply ice for non potable water. They make runs every month, wherever it is.

[Killian Sager]

The Crichton ice miner used to be thinking. What? Trojan Horse?

[Locke]

Something like that. Presenting Moss Dorian's experimental vessel. XTX 38523. Dreadnought class. Total almost 9 km. 123 crew, 25 security officers, 15 combat mechs, 8 Hunter killer mechs, and a complete infrastructure defense package. All the bells and whistles.

[Killian Sager]

Normally say 10 men pulling this off, depending on what is intended.

[Locke]

What's intended is a smash and grab with one very large advantage. This is the ship's X core. Nothing special, defensively or otherwise. We're going to knock out power to the ship. When we do, the resulting computer reboot will give us complete access. Whatever defenses are online, turn around and are ours. Skeptical?

[Killian Sager]

Have a sense. Not someone who risks what you're risking without assurances, wandering though dark under pretense. But once you show your car, bring down a whole mess of hurt.

[Locke]

Lobo. That's my tech. She's doing more than just finding the ship. Once we get there and take the security checkpoint, she'll upload a virus, create the illusion of a second ship docked on the secondary airlock. And one hell of an attack. Enough to draw security away and keep them occupied.

[Killian Sager]

How is it you plan on getting to the X core? Closest docking bay is all the way stern. From there.

[Locke]

A very good question. The ship's broken into three sections, each deeper into the hole than the last outside section. Is this the Halo? There's a tramway circling the whole thing to help with getting from A to B, but if they want, they can rotate the entire thing like so.

[Killian Sager]

All the rooms on the outside move.

[Locke]

As one if you want, but each section, crew quarters, med bay, cargo holds, repair bay, etcetera, etcetera, can move individually. They're modules. And each module is composed of a series of nodes. With the exception of the bridge, the Engineering deck, security stations and the docking bays. The modules can be moved anywhere they need to be. And so can the nodes. The entire layout of the halo can be reoriented as needed. Classic Astorian over Engineering.

And this helps how?

[Locke]

There's a giant track system out of sight of the rest of the ship for the modules to move on. We access that and move inside it, take it all the way to the Engineering deck, seal ourselves in the X core, and then you do your thing.

[Killian Sager]

[Locke]

Quickest, most abrupt way to power down the X core.

[Killian Sager]

A pulse X core for a ship of this size, need one hell of a pulse.

[Locke]

Aros doesn't know it yet, but he's going to modify the X core on this ship to pulse all of its energy outwards. Once we're connected to the empty ship docking connection.

[Killian Sager]
